was rotating the beta concept for cosmic dust while making dinner and somehow I rotated it too hard and came up with a concept that I basically like to call. oops! all Galra!
(well, except for Allura and Coran)
Keith is half-Altean, half-Galra and grew up on Altea as Allura's childhood friend. His mother Krolia worked as an ambassador to Altea, and ultimately sided with King Alfor over Zarkon. Keith was sealed away in a cryopod alongside Allura and Coran, while Krolia left before Altea's destruction to ensure that a rebellion against Zarkon would remain among his people and founded the Blade of Marmora.
They wake up on their own and have to figure out where to go from here. They know Keith has the potential to fly the red lion, but they'll need to find the rest of the lions and the rest of the paladins if they're going to have any hope of defeating Zarkon. They concentrate on finding the lions first, since perhaps they can use them to find their paladins.
Pidge is a low-ranking Galra working at a work camp for prisoners. She's not fond of the Empire, half because she's a runt and they treat her poorly- ignoring her talents and forcing her to work a terrible job that no one else wants instead. But half because she's used her talents at hacking to see things the Galra Empire doesn't want it's citizenry to see, and she's horrified. She strikes up a small friendship with a human prisoner named Matt, and when rebels come raid the prison, she helps bust him out.
He in turn asks if she wants to come with him- a chance which she seizes. She becomes a rebel, working alongside Matt who gradually becomes like a big brother to her.
(Matt holding up Pidge under the arms: hey mom. hey dad. I adopted a little sister while I was in space. hope you don't mind.)
Hunk is a low ranking Galra foot soldier stationed on a Balmera, but the lifestyle of a Galra soldier has never sat well with him. He's inherently kind, something which the Empire has tried and failed to stamp out. He sneaks extra rations to the Balmerans, doing what little he can for them, even though it's not much.
(Also there's a cute Balmeran girl named Shay he kind of has a crush on? He wishes he could do so much more for her, though...)
Lance is a member of the Blade of Marmora... in training. He has years to go before he can actually have a shot at the trials, even though he's got a burning urge to go out there right now and do something. Understandably, when he meets the literal son of their founder and he turns out to be a hotshot pilot who was personally trained by the Krolia, he feels the brewing of a rivalry.
(Keith still does not notice. Some things never change.)
Shiro was raised to be one of the Galra Empire's elite. He was promoted to Lieutenant at a young age, and served Zarkon loyally- until he was sent was sent on a mission to help locate the four remaining lions. He crash-landed on Earth and lost his memories, but was found by Adam. Without his memories, he became a kinder, gentler person- and falls in love with Adam in the process.
When a second scouting party arrives two years later, he's forced to confront his past- and vows to do better. To be better. He reveals himself to the Galaxy Garrison and works with them to strengthen their defenses. The true purpose of the Kerberos mission was to set up deep space sensors that would alert them of any incoming ships into the system... they were successfully installed, but what a bitter irony it was that they were too late for the Kerberos crew.

Movies I watched in January 2021.
(only includes movies I watched for the first time)
 A stranger outside (directed by Jake Helgren) – 2018 (12) 2½ stars.
This film is a who is it/who did it movie about a girl named Daphne (played by Brittney Underwood) who is babysitting a young boy called Toby (played by Jet Jurgensmeyer) whose parents are out of town.
I gave it a low rating since I found it very dumb and the acting is not good, a hard movie to take seriously, the characters are also very stupid, and it is an overall very predictable movie.
But saying that, I would still recommend if you want to watch a movie you can make fun of and like seeing family bonds being made (between the babysitter and the boy). It is also a good movie if you want to get into horrors/thrillers or get someone else into them.
*spoilers*
The main reasons I found this a dumb movie is how obvious it was that the maid was the killer, like, what maid only cleans the kitchen and does it in less than 5 minutes? She was also an overall bad killer and felt like a very lazy try.
Also, the girls reaction to everything, I don’t understand why they didn’t lock all the doors and how Daphne walked through the door that she put the windchime, a very dumb move. Also, Daphne’s friends when being killed, I could not wait for the scene to be over, she wasn’t doing a particularly good job at trying to escape.

Uncle frank (directed by Alan Ball)– 2020 (15) 5 stars.
This film is about an 18-year-old named Beth (played by Sofia Lillis) who travels back from Manhattan to her hometown Creek Ville, South Carolina, with her uncle Frank (played by Paul Bettany) for a funeral and end up being joined by his boyfriend (Played by Peter Macdissi).
I gave this film such a high rating because of how real this movie feels and how the acting feels so pure and you can tell that they put effort into this. I also just really love family connections in movies. It is just such a beautiful movie, made me cry so much. This film also really highlights how much Frank is terrified of his parents fining out he is gay.
I just highly recommend this movie. Anything I say will not do this film justice.
*spoilers*
The main scenes that really stuck out to me where: 1) The flash back scenes between young Frank and past lover Sam. Mainly the scene where his dad (played by Stephen Root) catches them together one night. And he didn’t the relationship his son had with the other boy, which sends Frank into a panic. This scene also shows the type of man his dad was and how that impacted Frank.
2) The will reading where Frank is outed. This scene really pinpoints how much hatred Franks dad had towards him. In this scene you can also see the sheer panic he has and doesn’t want to stick around and find out what is family will say.

Deadly detention (directed by Blair Hayes) – 2017 (15) 1 star.
This film is about 5 high school students; the ‘hot girl’ Lexi (played by Alex Frnka), ‘hot boy’ Barrett (played by Henry Zaga), the ‘sporty female jock’ Jessica (played by Sarah Davenport), ‘the skateboarder’ Taylor (played by Jenifer Robyn Jacobs) and the ‘presumed gay, Christian’ with his bejewelled bible named Kevin (played by Coy Stewart), who all have Saturday detention. Their detention takes place in a now closed prison with someone trying to kill them.
I gave the film such a low rating since its just bad. The script is awful, the characters are written so poorly, I can’t believe this movie was able to be realised, it is also very predictable, you are able to tell who the killer is within the first 10 minutes.
This movie gave me the vibe of a poorly rewrite of ‘the breakfast club’ if it was a horror in prison. But if you want something you can watch to laugh at and not take seriously then you could watch this.
*spoilers*
The main things that really annoyed me with this film are not that the killer was obviously the cop but that:
1)    Barrett never stops smiling! Someone is trying to kill him, and he doesn’t even care.
2)    Taylor and her skateboard, she can’t even ride properly, she should have left it, it’s not important.
3)    Keven and his light up shoes, and how he had to make sure they were on the same colour, he should leave them alone and hide.
4)    And just the fact that Barrett and Lexi care more about hooking up than trying to escape a killer, especially when Berrett is already dating Jessica.

Deadpool (directed by Tim Miller) – 2016 (15) 4 stars.
This film is about a man named Wade Wilson (played by Ryan Reynolds), who wants to get revenge on a man named ajax/Francis (played by Ed Skrein) for experimenting on him to cure Wades cancer and to give him healing abilities, but it ends up leaving him disfigured.
I gave this movie a high rating because of how it managed to include multiple genres at once; for example, this film included, action, a little gore, comedy, raunchy and romance. Also, the uses of breaking the fourth wall, I think was done particularly well.
Other things I like about this film is that he does not call himself a hero, because he does not want to be and at the end of the day, he isn’t one, but he’s also not a villain.
*spoilers*
An example of this is right near the end when Colossus is giving that classic ‘you can be a hero’ hero speech, Deadpool shoots Ajax. Because killing him was what the main plot of the film was.
*spoilers done*
Soul (directed by Pete Doctor) – 2020 (PG) 3½ stars.
This film is about the journey of jazz piano player/middle school teacher, Joe Gardner (voiced by Jamie Foxx), who experiences a near death experience that gets him trapped in the afterlife, trying to reunite his soul and body, who is landed the responsibility to be the mentor to the soul, 22 (voiced by Tina Fey), who needs to find her spark to be sent to earth.
I gave this movie a middle rating because I like what it portrays – where your dreams come from, where your interests come from, also that for some, it can take a lot longer than others to figure out what they are. However, I feel like this film feel flat the longer it went on, it also feels like the people working on this got bored at the end and did not care anymore. Could as well be due to do with the fact that there were a couple things I thought would happen and make more sense but did not happen.
But its still, at the end of the day a cute, funny, family movie and great for kids to learn that they should do what they love and its okay if they take longer than others to figure out what they love to do.
*spoilers*
Examples of what I thought would happen/hoped would happen that would have made sense to be in the film are:
1)    I was expecting that Joe was going to realise that he liked being a teacher. The flash backs really set up that was going to happen but then I just did not.
2)    I was hoping that we would get a time skip to a few years later and joe and the person that 22 went into would meet. I was expecting that the happen from the beginning.
*spoilers done*
Adventures in babysitting/A night in the town (directed by Chris Columbus) – 1987 (12 or pg. if you watch the Disney + cut) 4 stars.
This film is about 17-year-old Chris Parker (played by Elisabeth Shue) who is babysitting 8-year-old Sara Anderson (played by Maia Brewton) and her 15-year-old brother, Brad (Played by Keith Coogan), but ends up in a night full of adventures, along with Brad’s friend, Daryl (played by Anthony Rapp), due to Chris needing to pick up her friend, Brenda (played by Penelope Ann Miller).
I gave this movie a high rating because I think it’s a nice funny, sweet movie. I has great family like bonds between them all, which I love to see, and it makes you feel good watching it.
What I liked in this film was that it felt like it wasn’t trying to be realistic and because of that anything so unrealistic that happens feels normal.
I do highly recommend this movie to anyone who likes comedic adventurous films.
*spoilers*
One thing I liked that I found funny was how the gang was trying to capture the kids and Chris all because of the Playboy.
I also really love the scene when we find out Chris’s boyfriend, mike (played by Bradley Whitford), was cheating and after Brads speech about Chris then says he isn’t going to hurt mike because he is a bigger person, Daryl kicks mike. I think the main reason I loved this scene was because it really shows how different each character is from each other, but they still have a great friendship.
One thing that did annoy me about this film was Chris and Dan together at the end. It would have been okay for me, but she broke up with her boyfriend that night. Also, we don’t know how old Dan is, all we know is he is in collage and Chris is 17 in high school.
*spoilers done*
Z-O-M-B-I-E-S (directed by Paul Hoen) – 2018 (pg.) 4½ stars.
This film is about a zombie named Zed (played by Milo Manheim) and a human cheerleader named Addison (played by Meg Donnelly) who become close very quickly and need to hide that due to the fact that humans still believe that zombies are evil monsters.
I gave this film a high rating due to the how this movie made me feel, it quickly became a comfort movie for me, if you watch it you will understand where I’m coming from.
I also want to point out that yes, this is a very cheesy movie but its Disney channel, what else do you expect?
And despite it being the classic Disney channel cheese it is, I would like to pinpoint that it covers issues I think kids should learn about, for example; discrimination, not to pay attention to stereotypes and rumours also not to bully someone and just because they may be ‘different’
Highly recommend to all kids and anyone older if they love cheesy films.
*spoilers*
I have seen that some people don’t like the fact that Addison compared her hair would get her treated the same way Zed gets does, and I can see where they come from but to me, I interpret Addison’s hair and wig as real things people can hide about themselves, so they don’t get treated badly and zombies as something that people can’t hide about themselves.
*spoilers done*
Z-O-M-B-I-E-S 2 (directed by Paul Hoen) – 2020 (pg.) 2 ½ stars
This film is about werewolves coming to Seabrook/Zombietown due to their charms running out of their powers, needing to find the moon stone with help from a whitehaired teenager.
I gave this movie a low rating mainly due to how much it disappointed me. I expected much more, especially because of how the first one was amazing. This film felt very fast paced and felt like they didn’t put as much effort into it.
But saying that I do recommend watching, it’s still a fun time watching.
*spoilers*
Examples of what annoyed me in this movie was;
1.     How the zombies as well as the humans automatically assumed the werewolves where evil. You would have thought that the zombies would be more understanding since humans thought that about them before and that humans wouldn’t have jumped to that conclusion as they were wrong about zombies.
2.     The ban on all monsters when the zombies didn’t do anything wrong.
3.     How bucky went back to hating zombies. I don’t understand why because at the end of the first movie he realised zombies aren’t bad.
4.     Eliza should have ran for school resident! Mainly due to her having such strong views I feel like she would have taken it very seriously.
*spoilers done*
Official secrets (directed by Gavin Hood) – 2019 (15) 3¾ stars
This film is about the true events of Katherine Gun (played by Kira Knightly), who is a British intelligence specialist and leaked secret information about an illegal NSA spy operation made to urge the UN security council to give approval for the 2003 invasion of Iraq, to the press hoping to avoid this from happening.
I gave this movie this rating due to how it keeps you engaged in what is happening, despite it being a sort of slow burn. Also, from what I heard it stayed true the real events (I’m 17 so I wasn’t old enough to remember it myself) and I like how it used the actual news footage.
This movie is also easy to follow and to know what’s happening.
I highly recommend this film if you love learning about true events/find them interesting.
The green mile (directed by Frank Darabont) – 1999 (18) 5 stars
This film is about Paul Edgecomb (played by Tom Hanks and Dabbs Greer), the commanding officer of the death row cellblock at Cold Mountain Penitentiary in Louisiana, who meets inmate, John Coffey (played by Michael Clarke Duncan), who has been accused of murdering two young girls. Paul’s life isn’t the same when he discovers John’s special gifts.
I gave this movie such a high rating because it’s just such a masterpiece of a movie. The actors did an amazing job at portraying their characters and made sure you like the characters your meant to like, despite what they did in the past and dislike the characters your meant to dislike.
This movie also gave me so many emotions, for example, one moment I’m really happy and the movie is making me feel good then the next I can’t stop crying.
Despite the rating being an 18+, I would recommend to anyone 15+.
*spoilers*
I would like to state that the mouse, Mr. Jingles is my favourite character so, if you have seen it, you can guess that when Percy (played by Doug Hutchinson) stepped on the poor thing busted into tears and then when John healed him, I started crying even more because I was so happy.
I also thought the ending to the film was very poetic in the way the Paul is still alive and that being his curse, and having to see everyone he cares about die, due to John being executed despite, in the end, being innocent.

Those are all the movies I watched this month. Please know that these are my opinions, and its perfectly okay of you have different ones.
This is the first time I have ever done something like this so please let me know how I can improve. And let me know your thoughts.

I know this is a bit late, and I don’t usually make original posts, but I want to gather my thoughts on VLD s7, even though I literally never participate in fandom discourse lol. So I guess we’ll see how this goes.
There were great parts of this season. Let’s start with that.
First of all, Hunk was incredible and I’m so glad he finally got an arc where he could shine, even if I feel like it was long overdue. Seriously, I feel like Hunk was the best part of this season and I cannot state enough how much effect he had on my overall impression of the season. He basically carried the season singlehandedly and I don’t understand why searching through the tag rn I can hardly find any appreciation for him this season. (yeah jk I know why ha)
Everything they did with the Paladins’ families (from Hunk’s arc about rescuing his parents to Lance reuniting with his family and his relationship with Veronica to freaking Colleen!!!! just straight up stealing the show for two episodes!!! What an icon I love her so much!) was absolutely perfect. (I will say I’ve seen speculation that Hunk’s sister and her kids died since they weren’t there in his hospital room, which I desperately hope is not the case since that really should have been mentioned.)
I also loved seeing Shiro take charge and become Captain of the Atlas without even seeming to realize that he was the man for the job.
Sendak was a formidable and interesting villain who raised the stakes, which made it more satisfying when they defeated him.
I enjoyed getting to know Romelle more and see her in action.
Coran and the mice’s team up to break out the rest of the gang was very good and funny.
KOSMO!!!!!!! A GOOD PUPPY!!!!!! HE HAS A NAME!! I LOVE HIM SO!!!
I enjoyed seeing Lotor’s ex-generals again (because I love them), although I do have some issues which I’ll get to later.
The new characters they introduced, mainly Rizavi, Leifsdottir, Kinkade, Veronica, and Griffin were all great and I loved them! They did a great job of making me care about these new people. (And Kinkade is drawn so pretty what the heck y’all sleepin on this beautiful dude)
Seriously Colleen was so great I cannot stress this enough. I’ve been feeling for this poor woman who thought that she’d lost her whole family since season 1 so I’m so glad to finally see her in action, fighting for her family and her planet.
They did a good job of setting up Admiral Sanda’s inevitable betrayal, even if it was a really stupid thing for her to do.
Ep 5 was great; I was super excited to see what the Druids looked like under their masks, Macidus and Keith’s teleporting fight was awesome, and it’s always great to see Allura’s magic develop more, even when I wish it wasn’t so unclear how/what she’s doing.
Lots of the fights were so cool, from the Voltron team taking down the Galra drones in the cave system in Ep 2 to all the MFE fights to Shiro’s rematch against Sendak to even Voltron’s fight against the Robeast. These fights, I’ve noticed, are always especially cool when they unlock a new ability like Hunk’s turrets and Voltron’s double swords. Also I forgot how strong Alteans are until Romelle just straight up ripped apart a drone.
As much as I overall didn’t like The Feud as an episode, it did have some great moments with Pidge taking down Bob, Allura and Hunk being cute in the background, and the team being overall really supportive and loving of each other.
Shay came to visit Hunk!!!!!!!
Unfortunately, as you may have guessed, I also have a lot of problems with this season. Ones that, for me, are too serious to ignore. But let’s start with my more minor grievances, then work our way up to the big ones, shall we?
I don’t like Shiro’s new arm. It reminds me too much of Sendak’s and is too bulky/strange looking for for my taste. And for some reason my eyes have a hard time finding it? Like they’re drawn to the light emanating from his shoulder and not the forearm/hand. Idk, but I’m not a fan.
I wish Griffin had apologized to Keith for being such a jerk about his parents. I kept waiting for it since they had all these long glances with each other. I came to like him despite the bad initial impression only because he proved to be a good leader who valued every member of his team and knew when to step aside because someone else was better at a job. But I still kinda needed resolution for his rudeness, especially since he’s obviously grown since then and should want to make amends.
Admiral Sanda’s just so freaking stupid????? Like, how did she get that high in ranking when she consistently makes such bad decisions???? Clearly the dictator who’s controlling earth who comes from a war-mongering culture that enslaves and destroys planets isn’t just gonna let y’all go once he gets Voltron. He’s either gonna continue using you as slaves because nothing’s stopping him or destroy you because you’re no longer useful. Listen to people who know the Galra better than you!!
I saw somewhere that Matt has a girlfriend now???? When did this happen????
They somehow got the ENTIRE BALMERA to Earth?!!!????!!?!?!?!? How did they build a teleduv big enough to do that!?!
Also, where did they get a teleduv? Did the Atlas have one? Or was that something that they built during the epilogue montage??
How did Keith summon his bayard telepathically?? Was that a Galra thing or a new Paladin ability?
How did Shiro manage to survive falling from space to earth on the outside of a ship while fighting Sendak?? I mean I’m really glad he lived, but??? How??
I don’t think we needed so much time dedicated to Sam Holt updating the Garrison and then the rest of earth on what happened in space. I kinda appreciated it since it’s been a long time since I watched the early seasons, but at the same time he didn’t tell them anything that was new information to us as viewers. The only things we gained from those scenes were how others reacted to this info. (And we still didn’t get to see the reaction of the person I was most interested in, Adam, but I’ll get to that later.)
This is a problem I’ve been having with the show since like season 3 or so, but how much time has passed? They actually explicitly said it at a couple of points this season, what with 3 years having gone by for most people but only a few weeks for the Voltron team, but why did that time difference happen? Also, how much time passed between the team leaving Earth and them fighting Lotor in last season’s finale? Because I could believe any time frame between 6 months to a few years for that, which makes a big difference in how old the paladins are. According to the show, Sam landed on earth 4 years before the team gets back to the Milky Way, so I guess Sam left the team a year before they faught Lotor??
I didn’t get the thing with Allura’s crown gem? Since when is that a power source? And I was really struck by the imagery of her literally throwing her crown away to help her friend, but I feel like it would’ve been more powerful if we had been given some information about what exactly that gem is and what it means for her. Just make this more clear for me. Also, Shiro has already lashed out and hurt people against his will, so I really didn’t need that angsty moment for him.
The B-plot in Ep 1 was tonally dissonant from the A-plot of Shiro’s flashbacks, and it ended up being totally useless anyway. As much as I enjoyed Romelle and Hunk’s banter in those parts, they would’ve been better placed somewhere else. They should’ve just dedicated the whole episode to Shiro’s flashbacks and given us more information about him.
If they were going to mention that Shiro had a progressive disease in his flashbacks, then they need to explicitly mention in the show that he doesn’t have it anymore. As it is, people who don’t know about the SDCC announcements are just gonna assume he still has it. If it doesn’t happen in the show, it’s not canon. Also, if he’s had this disease the whole time, then why is s7 the first time it’s mentioned? The way he held his arm in the flashback reminded me of the way he held it when his Galra arm activated for the first time. Did the arm help fight the progression of the disease like that lil wristband did? If so, that should’ve been explained and made clear a long time ago. It just bothers me that this is the first time we’re hearing about this major part of Shiro’s life that he’s been fighting with, and that in show we’re given absolutely no resolution for it.
I guess the gem powering Shiro’s arm and the Castleship diamond powering the Atlas connected somehow?? Which is how Shiro turned it into a giant robot?     ??????????????? I’m genuinely very confused on what was going on there. It needed to be made more clear. I was on board for whatever they were doing at first just because Shiro looked so pretty in that lighting, but they took it in the weirdest direction possible. Why would anyone care about Voltron anymore when you’ve got a bigger, stronger robot now? Voltron’s no longer the most powerful weapon in the universe - the Atlas is. And it only became such by coincidence. Which is just. Irritating.
The Feud episode. Oh boy. First of all, I got some serious emotional whiplash from the change to this episode. It just didn’t seem to fit in with the rest of the season at all. Second, they just really did not have to spend that much time making fun of Lance for being stupid. Especially when he’s not. Also, the first two of the people he had to identify had masks on, and Lance had only met them briefly. ALSO you’re telling me that Lance, the most social and outgoing of the Voltron team, is the one who’s bad with names/faces????? ALSO spending less time teasing Lance would’ve opened up more time for giving Hunk and Allura their own activities. ALSO everyone else on the team gets a little speech about how they’re valuable, but Lance just gets “I don’t want to be stuck with him forever”?????? That’s so freaking messed up. Third, the whole premise of the episode was strange to me. Like why would an all powerful being who tests heroes do it in this way? It seems to me that that premise fits Ep 6, where they were stranded in space, much better. They were genuinely tested then, and the forces that attacked them and propelled them through lightyears of space were never explained, so saying that Bob did it and propelled them towards their goal as a reward for passing the test could’ve been a satisfying answer to those questions. And fourth, can I also ask why Morvok was the fourth player?? Like he’s a nonentity in terms of villains. And they still didn’t have the same number of players as team Voltron. Haggar’s still alive, so they could’ve put Sendak on there too. And for the fifth player they could’ve put on a fan favorite villain character. One who showed up in more episodes than Morvok did. One who died a while back and who the fans have wanted to see again ever since. Like, I don’t know, NARTI!! Ugh.
The Robeast. I just. This season could’ve ended on a pretty high note if they had just cut that out and just went straight to the lil epilogue after defeating Sendak. As cool as that fight was at parts, it caused a pretty low finale, which is pretty disappointing after last season’s incredible finale. I get that they needed to foreshadow Haggar’s return to this fight or whatever they’re doing for next season and that she’s been working on the lost Alteans, apparently, but it was just a strange note to end on. Especially with the weird addition of Atlas to the Giant Robot Squad. And Allura’s line “Seriously? We just defeated Sendak and now we gotta deal with this?!?!” (I’m paraphrasing) was a MOOD.
Okay, so this post has gotten kinda out of control, so I’m gonna have to save the biggest issue I had (betcha can guess what it is) for another post. So. Look out for Part 2 of this nonsense. Feel free to reblog with your own ideas/input!

voltron livebloging season 6 edition (ep 1+2)
I have temporarily blacklisted various voltron related tags to avoid spoilers, lets hope it is enough. Like most of my dash is currently full of said blacklisted posts that i will avoid until i finish this in a few days.
So we start with meeting Lotor’s nanny....er governess. I like her design and Lotor’s expressions in regards to her, they are pretty funny. Hunk asks the question that hadn’t been brought up but really should have “what the hell does ‘vrept sa’ actually mean? And gets to have galra cultural lessons. Worldbuilding yay!
As I thought it looks like galra society already had a military bent long before becoming an evil empire. I mean that makes sense given Zarkon thought that a helmet was an appropriate gift to give a baby. Also Sendak’s breakaway group’s name is hilariously edgy and ridiculous. And a jab at Lotor of course (ie mentioning blood purity)
Uh Lotor, bit worried about you putting the safety of you subjects lower than working on the quintessance project. Think you may have picked up bad habits from your mom. And speaking of her....
Looks like the Haggar-Shiro mind connection works both ways. Haggar is going to Oriande to mess shit up, I am so excited. Looks like Sendak “I know your weakness” line was intended for voltron in general and not Shiro. Damn misleading trailers. Hunk gets to shine and whip everybody into shape, I am proud. This is why back during the earlier seasons when Shiro disapeared and there was the lion switch, i thought Hunk would have been the next best person to lead.
Shiro keeps on getting hit with the visions, poor guy :(
Hunk does not want to duel to death, which is understandable, though the information regarding galra culture is important to know when you are trying to involve yourself in dimplomacy with them
Haggar comes out of the mystical land reverting back to her Altean appearance, interesting and onimous. I am eagerly awaiting to see what shit Haggar fucks up
Part of the next episode involves this Lotor-Allura-Lance love triange thing which I won’t discuss much because I don’t really have any interest in either Lotura or Allurance. Lotor and Allura’s height difference is hilarious. I liked Pidge and Hunk’s teasing especially how it was Hunk that was playing the part of Allura and Pidge Lotor. And Pidge dipping Hunk. The mice were cute. Thats pretty much all I have to say about that plot
Krolia’s and Keith’s interaction takes where it left off. Snorted a bit at Keith’s “how do you know i am your son for sure?” part. Keith, she knows because you look like a tiny male version of her, that how. Krolia cuts off any further questions to focus on the mission which Keith agrees to because the two of them are very simmilar
Love the scenery of the weird ass gravitation sucking time-warping place. Kudos to the animators, illustrations and desginers of this. It looks wonderful. They lose their ship. Also did Keith just say “fuck!” when they lost the ship or did i misshear that?
Convient  memory showing white light shows us Keith’s parents backstory and also a worrying vision of Shiro with purple eyes (full on possesion is coming up I know it). Keith’s dad has an amusing southern accent. We still don’t know his name so fandom will have to continue call him Texas Kogane I guess. Like the fandom guessed, the whole blue lion thing had to due with how Krolia ended up on earth. And managed to save earth from galra invasion by keeping the discovery hidden. I feel a bit robbed that there isn’t a height diffence between Krolia and Dad Kogane. Come on. Also Yoruk is a name from one of the older versions of voltron isn’t it? Sounds familar
Baby Keith is cute. Krolia pulls another fake surrender. Love how badass she is. And the encounter convinces her that she needs to leave to keep the empire away from scouting out earth again.
So Keith’s dad is dead. And Krolia gets to find that out just now by seeing Keith’s memory at his dads gravesite. OUCH. Little-Keith is so cute and sad :( :(
So Voltron gets to introduce their version of space whales which somewhat remind me of the lionturtles from ATLA. If these whales also end up saving the day later on in a duex ex machina I am going to laugh so hard. Only those who keep up with both Star Wars Rebels and Voltron will get what I am refering to here, sorry.
They get onto one of the spacewhale and then we get so see a space dog/wolf which is pretty much what i kept focusing on for the remainder of the episode. Its so cute! I love it! I wonder what Keith named it? Its such a good doggo :D :D
Wait two years? Is that with the whole “how are we sure you are the real Keith?” because Keith has aged 2 years while i am betting it wasn’t as long as that for the rest of the guys due to time fuckery in the weird zone he and his mom are in? Though once you are out of puberty i don’t think there is a dramatic difference in aging in two years. So hm.....
And it looks like they went back in time to Altea. Interesting.
Please Voltron creators don’t make Keith lose his mom or his dog. The preview clip we saw of Keith days ago, had him not looking very happy looking and it is making me worried.

Northern Lights
Okay @rosesnvines, here’s your request for Sparkly!
This is for #kalluramonth2k17 prompts Aurora Borealis, Sapphire and, of course, sparkly.
Allura cursed under her breath as the wind stung her face. Well, the part of her face left exposed, which wasn’t much. Mostly just her eyes and bridge of her nose felt the bite of the icy air, her eyelashes sticking together every time she blinked back tears. Her knitted scarf was protecting the rest of it, a burst of steam escaping whenever her breath met the frigid atmosphere.
The sun hung low in the sky, painting the clouds deep pinks and purples as it sunk into the horizon. Soon the dark night would chase it down, littering the sky with sparkling stars and, with any luck, the aurora borealis. They’d chosen this for their final spring break holiday; Keith wanting to see the Northern Lights, and Allura hoping to see the diamond studded Milky Way.
She considered herself lucky that it was the middle of April and not January, when the weather would have been significantly harsher. She was also glad for the warmth of the person holding her to keep her from turning into a human popsicle.
Keith was sitting behind her on the snow mobile, his arms wrapped tightly around her. He shoved his hands into her coat pockets to rub her fingers as a token of appreciation she presumed. Either that or to ensure neither of them lost a digit to frostbite. Whatever the reason she welcomed them eagerly.
“Of all the things you could have asked for as a graduation present it had to be this?”
Allura felt rather than heard his chuckle, the low rumble of his chest somehow making its way through her multiple layers of clothes. He leaned closer to respond, the hot wind from his mouth tickling her sensitive ears.
“Should I have chosen another plus one? The invitation wasn’t specific, I’m sure Shiro would be enjoying this.”
She twisted slightly to shoot a dirty look at him.
“You wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for me, maybe next time I’ll invite someone else,” she huffed.
His arms squeezed a bit tighter, a light kiss falling on her forehead.
“Never gonna let that happen,” he teased. “Besides, I’m sure Lotor has moved on by now.”
As much as she hated hearing her ex’s name, she had to admit dating him worked in her favor. They’d been an item all through high school and she expected to marry him after college. Thankfully he showed his true colors freshman year. She’d forgiven him one indiscretion that she was aware of, never comfortable with his promises of future fidelity. In reality she’d stayed with him because it was expected of her.
Being the daughter of a wealthy family meant attending the finest private schools. Lotor was the guy every girl wanted to date, so when she landed an invitation to the school fall dance it was a big deal. The two were an item through graduation and had decided to go to the same college, which happened to be a state run university since Lotor’s dad had cut him off financially almost entirely.
Keith was at the school on a scholarship, studying to go into law enforcement. Allura was majoring in international law. Still somehow their paths didn’t cross until the spring semester of their sophomore year.
Allura smiled to herself when she remembered her first encounter with her now-boyfriend. He was working at a gas station near her apartment and she had stopped by for snacks to munch on between classes. She was short a dollar so he fished one out of his pocket to give her. After that she became a regular there. Because she ate the same thing every day Keith had usually rung her up by the time she reached the counter.
He was so cute she couldn’t help but ask him questions about his life, although she felt guilty about flirting with him. Especially when Lotor came in with her one morning because his car was in the shop next door.
To her embarrassment her ex had noticed Keith preparing to leave work on his shiny red motorcycle and decided he wanted it. It was bad enough he made an offer way too low for the bike, but then he insisted that someone poor enough to work retail must be desperate for the money. Finally, she managed to drag him to her car, apologizing to the young cashier profusely.
The drive to school that day was awkward silence punctuated by his occasional requests to skip a song on her playlist. Well, most of the songs. She and Lotor had vastly different tastes in music.
Then came the argument in the campus parking lot that sent him storming off to his English Lit class while she stomped to her Modern History course. Which, if she’d been in her right mind, she would have remembered was the next day. The realization didn’t hit her until she saw Keith slink into the classroom and sit at the end of her row.
He’d noticed her and threw a confused look, which she responded to with a slight shrug and then turned her attention to her phone. She should have been in biology.
 Best mistake she ever made.
She left the room flustered and red-faced, tripping over Keith’s foot as she tried to quickly exit the lecture hall. He easily caught her before she reached the floor. His strong arm had wrapped around her in what she could only describe as a perfect fit, his steel blue eyes looking at her with concern.
After he’d helped right her she simultaneously thanked and apologized to him. Allura couldn’t help but sprint out of the class, mortified at what had just happened. Once she stopped to catch her breath a hand grabbed her shoulder and spun her around.
 He’d followed her.
Not like a creepy stalker followed. It was a genuine kind of care that she’d never really encountered from a boy before. Keith was truly worried about her.
So of course she started crying. Gross, snotty, ugly sobbing.
The handsome young man from the gas station- who had been humiliated by her boyfriend and in turn saved her from humiliation- didn’t run away.
He didn’t even look at her funny. Simply reached in his pocket and pulled out a clean handkerchief.
 “What’s wrong, Princess?”
The title startled her. Was he insinuating she was a spoiled, childish woman?
“I’m not a princess, you know,” she responded curtly.
“You should be. Your perfect hair, perfect voice, perfect—”
Suddenly it looked like he remembered he needed to be somewhere else, shuffling his feet and looking over his shoulder at nothing while trying to hide his flushed cheeks.
“Perfect what?” She couldn’t let that go, not now.
His face grew ruddier and it seemed that the ground at his feet had grabbed his attention.
“Face,” he had mumbled quietly to prevent her from hearing properly.
A giggle escaped her lips before she could smother it. He looked up at her like he expected her to spout a derogatory remark a la “Prince” Lotor.
“Then maybe we’re perfect for each other,” was her response instead.
Now her face was growing hot, no doubt redder than his.
Granted it was totally against character for her to say such a thing, yet there it was all laid out like an offering of peace between two enemies. All she could do was hope that this didn’t end in a stalemate or a friendly handshake.
His eyes finally met hers and he cleared his throat. She braced for a stern “no thank you” that was sure to follow.
 “Wasn’t that guy your boyfriend?”
“Let’s just say he’s my soon-to-be-not-boyfriend,” she countered.
In her mind she had already played the scenario using every possible outcome. Her darker side secretly hoped Lotor would beg her to stay. Her logical side hoped he’d simply walk. Any option that would get her to the point where she so desperately wanted to arrive.
Soon the quad was busy with students scurrying to their next classes. Allura knew where to find Lotor and decided now was as good a time as any.
 “Well, wish me luck!”
“Wait, are you going to see him now?”
A smile and a nod were the best response she could give, waving as she turned on her heels and headed to the library. He didn’t have a class at that time and would often wait for her there since she’d be in College Algebra for the next hour.
Allura didn’t have to enter the building before she spotted him. He was sitting on a stone bench next to a very attractive brunette. She stayed in the shadow of the building’s overhang to watch the proceedings. The two were talking and laughing, seemingly comfortable with one another.
 Then he kissed her.
That made things a lot simpler.
Forgetting every word of the speech she’d prepared she rushed to stand in front of the two, waiting impatiently for them to come up for air. Patience not being her virtue she tapped Lotor on the shoulder. Several times.
The look on his face was priceless. He jumped to his feet, effectively knocking his confused partner off her seat.
“I, uh, didn’t see you there darling.”
Allura quirked her eyebrow, “because if you had seen me you would have played the good boyfriend I suppose?”
On that she went to make her escape, stopping abruptly when a firm hand grabbed her forearm. The pain caused her to wince which frighteningly seemed to amuse Lotor. He was used to getting what he wanted, her included.
“Let’s talk about this. Don’t be so rash, we can work this out. Let’s go buy you something sparkly. You like shiny things, don’t you?”
She attempted to loosen his grip on her arm by twisting it free. In turn he simply increased the force of his vise-like grip.
“Let me go! We’re through, Lotor,” she sneered.
“Now, how do you think our parents will take the news of us breaking up? My father can destroy yours, you know,” he threatened in return.
“You need to learn how to treat a lady, asshole.”
Allura turned towards the voice to see Keith standing behind her, hands clenched in anger. She wondered if he’d been there this whole time, waiting to protect her should she need it.
“And you are?” Lotor questioned, not even recognizing Keith from two hours prior.
Dropping her arm, Lotor stepped towards the raven-haired stranger. Sizing him up, he looked certain he could take the shorter man easily.
Without warning his fist was flying towards Keith’s face. Allura cringed, expecting to hear the crack of bone when knuckle met jaw. Instead Lotor’s hand only found air, Keith having ducked to avoid the blow before chasing the taller man’s chin with an uppercut of his own.
Lotor stumbled backwards, tripping over his own feet and landing in the shrubs that fenced the walkway. Keith moved to loom over him, pulling him halfway up by the collar of his very expensive sport coat.
“Don’t you ever, ever, touch her again. She said she’s done with you. Understand?”
At that he dropped the injured man back to the ground and returned to Allura’s side.
“May I walk you to your next class, Princess?” he offered, extending his bruised hand.
“That nickname’s going to stick, isn’t it?”
He laughed as she cautiously took his hand, worried that the swelling may need to be tended to.
“How about I take you to get some ice for that instead?”
He shook his head and shuddered a bit. “Nah, I hate the cold.”
A gentle nudge from Keith brought Allura back to the present.
 “You still awake?”
She sighed and nodded, sinking a bit further into his chest. The sun had finally set and the swirling arm of the galaxy slowly emerged from the darkness.
No pictures, no videos she had seen could have prepared her for the sight. The magnificence of seeing far away suns twinkling from their galactic neighborhoods, knowing that chances were on one of those distant planets someone was looking back at them.
“You finally got your sparkly. Hundreds, no thousands, to be exact,” Keith cooed in her ear.
“Technically I paid for the trip so don’t think you’re off the hook, my love.”
“I didn’t,” he said, pulling his hands from her pockets and moving to stand next to her.
Allura watched breathlessly as he knelt beside her, a small velvet covered box in his shaking hand. He opened it smoothly, revealing a beautiful silver ring with a pink sapphire stone set in the band.
“Princess, never in ten thousand years would I ever have imagined meeting someone as amazing as you. All of human history has brought me to this place, this time, to be with you. If I could simply ask to spend the rest of my life with you, if you would grant me that, I would be forever grateful.”
This time the tears were happy tears, leaving salty trails on her cheeks and staining her scarf.
“How could I say no to that perfect face?” she smiled, removing her glove before presenting her hand for him to place the ring on it.
Allura pulled her scarf away from her face, leaning to kiss his frost-chapped lips. Keith reached to cup her cheeks, smoothing over them with his hands. She would have been content to stay that way for hours had a flash of light not pulled her attention back to the sky.
She broke the kiss, tilting her head in the direction she wanted him to look. Brush strokes of greens and pinks danced brilliantly against the canvas of space. It was breathtaking.
The rose coloring was almost the same as the gem in her ring. She stretched her hand to the sky, the stone catching the single headlight beam and sparkling beautifully in the night. Keith had done a wonderful job choosing this for her, he must have been saving for months. No, years.
Just then a thought hit her.
“Keith, my love, how did you manage to buy this ring?”
“I sold the motorcycle,” he grinned. “To your ex.”

The Continuation! Now with additional Galra Keith!
(Part One HERE)
(Hints of Korean Keith ;)
I have decided that the little girl’s name is Bora. (Stay with me on this I have my reasons I promise)
Keith does eventually have to go back to his shack in the desert because that’s where the Castle of Lions has made its base on Earth and he can’t really abandon Voltron, and Bora is obviously super sad to see him go but she gets it her big brother is a Hero™ and he has a job to do so it’s ok, He promised to keep in touch so they’re good. BUT SURPRISE! One of Bora’s adoptive parents landed a job at the Garrison so they all pack up and move and at first she doesn’t realize where they’re going so she’s nervous that Keith won’t know where she is but then they start to get close and she flips out like Yes! Now she gets to live close to not just the Castle of Lions but Keith too!
Unfortunately her parents tell her that they can’t go visit him until they’re settled. It’s fine she deals and about three weeks in she gets a permission slip sent home with her for a group tour of the Castle of Lions and her parents go sure why not, and sign it and the rest of the night she just keeps on chattering about seeing where Keith works and maybe even getting to see his space lion. Holy comets wouldn’t that be so cool???
So it goes on like that and her parents do call Keith the next day and say hey we moved here for work you should come over for dinner sometime and also Bora has a field trip to the space castle you work in just thought we should give you a heads up and he’s like cool thanks. So the week goes on and come the following Monday Bora and her class all file into the Castle of Lions for their field trip and Allura welcomes them and then Coran gives them the grand tour telling them stories about the history of the Castle and things the current paladins did while they fought the Galra. Eventually he leads them down to the hanger where Keith and Pidge are hanging out with their lions and Coran hands off the field trip like “Okay! Here are the lions and two of the Paladins! Does anyone have any questions for them?”
Bora’s hand shoots up and she just kind of yells “Can Keith still turn into a purple kitty person?”
And a little kid behind her goes “People can’t turn into cats stupid!”
Now, by this point Keith has decided that he Does Not Care About Hiding That He Is An Alien Anymore so he goes “yes I can” and suddenly he’s standing there looking like a Galra with purple skin, cat ears and all the rest and these kids all lose their little minds.
Eventually they get the kids to calm down and they ask about the lions and everything’s great, Bora is super popular now because apparently she already knew the Red Paladin well enough to know he was an alien.
So the field trip ends and all the little kids go back to school and go home and Pidge and Keith are still hanging out at the Castle and Pidge asks “how’d that little girl know you’re Galra?”
Keiths answer is basically “We were in foster care together for a little while and she’d get really bad nightmares sometimes, so I’d show her how I looked as a Galra to get her to calm down, she really liked watching my ears twitch. She was like 3 or 4 so I didn’t really need to worry about people believing her if she said something.”
Pidge is just like “That’s adorable, what’s her name?”
Keith is smiling now, (proud big brother mode activate) “It’s Bora”
“That’s pretty, what kind of name is it?”
“It’s a Korean name that means purple”
RIP Pidge
“Why are you laughing? Pidge seriously what’s so funny?”
Pidge, still laughing manages to shout at him “YOUR SISTER’S NAME IS PURPLE! LOOK AT YOURSELF!”
Keith pauses for a minute and then sighs, “Lance can never know about this”
He does eventually get around to visiting Bora and her family at their new house to have dinner with them. Her parents are, obviously, a little surprised by the whole ‘purple cat thing’ but you know what? The guy pilots a giant space lion, him turning out to be part alien isn’t even that surprising at this point.
(Yes, Bora’s name is basically a pun)
