Hello there! I really liked the hcs you did a while back on the swords comforting their s/o after a nightmare. Could I make a similar request, but with Hasebe, Kashuu, and Tomoegata (separate of course). I enjoy your writing very much, hopefully you're doing well! ~♥

Hasebe, Kashuu, and Tomoegata Comforting their s/o after a Nightmare (GN!Reader)

♡ Hasebe would be making his nightly rounds before he went to bed, it was his job to make sure the citadel was safe and most importantly, his saniwa was safe.

♡ Passing the saniwa's bedroom, hearing rustling instead; he didn't think too much of it. Probably getting more comfortable in their bed to get well deserved sleep. Thank the gods he was there to keep them safe and tend to anything they needed.

♡ It was when he was starting to walk away, he heard murmurs in the chamber, pleading no's and the rustling become more fierce.

♡ Hasebe's thoughts went a mile a minute as panic sent into overdrive, nearly dropping his lantern he was carrying with him on his walk, he ran back and opened with a loud bang as he yelled into the darkness, "ARUJI??"

♡ The bang and Hasebe's worried scream quickly woke the saniwa in a panic (as well as most of the citadel, probably). Their face stained with tears and their body refusing to calm down, shaking like a leaf trying desperately to hang on to the branch.

♡ Hasebe would waste no time from throwing aside his light and running over to his dear saniwa, embracing them in the tightest hug imaginable.

♡ "I am so happy you're okay!" His face would be buried into their neck but anyone could tell from his shaky voice that he was as close to tears as they were.

♡ If they confess that they were having bad nightmares, Hasebe would listen intently and not say a word until they were done explaining as far as they were comfortable. His hand still holding onto theirs throughout it all.

♡ Hasebe would also confess that he also had plenty of nightmares since becoming human and gaining the ability to dream. They were very bad at first, about his old master Nobunaga... Then the nightmares would transform into his saniwa where he would be left behind once again, no matter how much he showed his masters he loved them.

♡ "They have gotten better lately because... I trust you, aruji. I hope you trust me too and know I will not leave your side."

♡ Hasebe would offer to stay by their side until they fallen asleep, even offering to go steal a book from someone to give a little tale so they can dream to a story. If they ask him to just stay with them... His face would go scarlet... but he wouldn't say no.

♡ He would slide in beside them, nervous to touch them or make them uncomfortable. As they rest their head on his chest, he would find his arms hovering over their body for a little while before gently setting themselves down and rub their back in soothing circles. A smile on his face as he watches them slowly drift back to sleep... in a more peaceful dream.

♡ Kashuu's room would be fairly close to the saniwa's due to being one of the first swords in the citadel (if not the first). Kashuu would already be asleep by the time the scream erupted from their room.

♡ Normally, Kashuu would be someone fairly hard to wake up. Not because he was a heavy sleeper... no, they would fear the wrath of Kashuu from waking up on the wrong side of the bed.

♡ The scream shook Kashuu awake, causing him to bolt up... eyes still trying to realize the surroundings before him. His sword was quickly grabbed as he ran to your room as fast as he could, knowing others would quickly follow.

♡ The scene before him, after he opened the door, was his saniwa bend over trying to catch their breath as sweat coated their skin. More footsteps followed behind Kashuu. The look of panic they gave Kashuu was all he needed for him to close to door slightly and turn to the crowd that came, anxiously trying to look inside to help their master.

♡ "Go to bed everyone, it's alright. It was just a spider." He made a shooing motion to them, not even caring for their retorts before closing the door. Leaving the enclosed room to be just him and his master.

♡ His silent footsteps found its way before his master as he gently dapped their forehead to clear of the sweat. His long, beautiful nails, brushing against hair as he pulled it slightly back so it didn't get in their face.

♡ "Focus on me. Nothing else or I'm going to get jealous." His tone was serious yet also playful. His ruby eyes looking down at his master with compassion. When they finally looked up at him, he gave them a little wink.

♡ "Come on, let's get you cleaned up."

♡ Even if they wanted nothing more to curl up into themselves, Kashuu's gentle hand grabbed them and lifted them up. Slowly leading them to the washroom where he took extra care in cleaning their face and brushing back their hair. All the while complimenting them. Their breathing slowed as they focused on Kashuu's delicate care.

♡ "You don't have to talk about what happened, it seemed serious. I also get nightmares so if you do need to talk, I'm here."

♡ His eyes wouldn't look into the mirror as he did the last finishing touches to clean them up. Saniwa knew that confessing such a thing was a big step for someone like Kashuu.

♡ "Let's get you back to bed so I can finish my beauty sleep." He would offer to do a face mask for them before going to bed, making sure they knew that no matter how bad the dream was... they were cared for and safe where they were currently.

♡ Tomoegata arrived late into the night where the sun threatened to soon arise before him. The mission was tediously long but he wanted to make his master proud, even if he was slightly disheartened that he would not be able to talk to them before he had to rest for the night.

♡ He was going to just drop off the report to their office before heading to bed.

♡ Not bothering to announce his presence, he opened the door to the study to leave the paperwork on the desk that laid in the darkness of the room.

♡ It was only when he got closer, about to drop the papers, did he see that there was a figure in the darkness. Their head laying on the desk, sleeping quietly.

♡ He turned on the light, realizing his precious master had fallen asleep at their desk... with tears?

♡ Tomoegata quickly dropped the papers and rush over beside them, shaking them slightly to wake them.

♡ The first thing they saw when they opened their blurry, wet eyes was a figure crouched beside them so they were eye level... A face of concern of a Naginata sword.

♡ "Aruji? Are you hurt? Are you sick? Should I carry you back or get medical help?"

♡ Tomoegata Naginata is a man with no history to his name therefore he does not experience dreams as often as the other swords. At least none that he would be able to remember.

♡ They slowly sat up, their back aching from how they laid. He was there helping and brushed away the tears with his sleeve.

♡ Explaining that they just had a bad dream would earn them a confused look. "What is that? Is that like a fainting spell?" His innocent, bewildered question would honestly make anyone laugh.

♡ "It's when you dream, or picture something while you sleep, that might be connected to something in your past or something that you fear that makes you emotional to the point of... crying, as you saw."

♡ His mouth would be agape as he listened. Asking how he cures their bad dream so he can ensure you sleep peacefully.

♡ In the end, after answering his, very cute, questions. He would make the two of you tea as they sat outside to enjoy the fleeting moment with the stars and the moon. The tea being pleasantly warm against the more chilly air around them.

♡ "I may not understand much about this world or humans... But whatever you require, please let me know and I will do anything to help with these nightmares, aruji."

♡ Him being overly concerned and trying to understand exactly what happened warmed their heart to the point that the nightmare was becoming a fleeting memory like the stars above.

♡ "You're enough as is, Tomoe. Thank you. I think I can sleep after this tea and talking to you."

♡ "No matter what time is it, if you have a bad dream, I will listen and make you all the tea you desire."

When Kashuu Kiyomitsu opened his eyes for the first time, vision blurred due to the newness of his form, he thought to himself, Ah, maybe this is it. 

Then the splotches of color coalesced into a vivid, smiling face, and for a moment Kashuu wanted to shut his eyes, afraid he'd go blind from the radiance. But then that face spoke, and the voice was bright and sweet, like a morning stroll in a garden full of plum trees.

"Hello, Kashuu, nice to meet you. I'm new to this, but I hope we get along well."

There was something to be said about first choices, how one deliberated based on the amount of affection per option. Perhaps it was the smile, spring-glazed and youthful, glittering in the diffuse afternoon light. It unfurled something within Kashuu, a bud wishing to bloom, the longing stitched carefully to the petals.

Maybe this is it, he repeated. That thing he so yearned for, answered in that plum blossom smile.

During the first nights of your life as a saniwa, you suggested to Kashuu that both of you should sleep in the same room.

The citadel was big and quiet, and apart from your staccato footsteps that echo in the empty hallways and your lilting voice that filled the empty rooms, only the twittering of birds could be heard outside. If it was a particularly windy day, the susurrus of leaves also provided for background noise.

"It's just the two of us. Wouldn't it be lonely to sleep in a room all by yourself?"

You insisted to lay the futon side by side, unaware (or perhaps uncaring) of what it intimated.

Hours later, when the moon would be at its highest, Kashuu would lay awake, watching you sleep. He would see your hand peeking out of the blanket, clenched in a loose fist. It would be so easy to reach out and place his own hand above yours, the desire so inexplicably overwhelming, in that small distance between you and him.

He would try, then. But right before the moment his skin could touch yours, his hand would recoil, burned by a sudden frisson of fear. He would look at his hand – that treacherous limb – imagining the warmth that exuded from your skin, imagining what would happen if he hadn't jerked his hand back. Would it really be that easy, to ask for love from that plum blossom smile, the love that he had so yearned for all his life?

From where you slept, no answers came.

Only a few weeks had gone by, but Kashuu could no longer remember how quiet and empty the citadel had been. Your family had grown so large in such a short time (“Family,” you had said, smile barely noticeable if not for the crinkle of your eyes), and Kashuu was glad for it, really, but lurking in the dark corners was the clawing dread of being spurned away and replaced as more and more touken danshi arrived. Sometimes, it kept him up at night, intrusive thoughts seizing his throat like a sharp, persistent vise.

"Is there something worrying you, Kashuu?" you had asked, once, after you invited him for tea and watched the tantou play around the garden.

He had stared at his cup, debating over his reply, but he must've taken too long, because a hand appeared and settled on his wrist, squeezing it lightly, a comforting gesture. And Kashuu remembered the night of his aborted touch, his hesitation a direct contrast to the sure weight of your hand.

"If you don't want to tell me, that's okay, but I'm always here if you want to talk to somebody."

Will you always be here for me, then? But he didn't say the words out loud, paralyzed by his fear of your answer. If a new sword comes along, cuter and more beautiful than I am, will you still touch my hand like how you did now, soft and tender just like the way I dreamed of it most nights?

Will you love me the way I want you to love me?

There were no answers, of course; only consolation.

"There's something different about you today."

Kashuu startled. The idea that you would notice any changes he’d made to himself only served to render him more hopeful, and these days his hope oscillated the more he prolonged his aching silence.

You snapped your fingers. "Oh, your nails! Did you get new nail polish?"

Warmth bloomed inside his chest. "Yes."

You stepped closer, taking one of his hands and studying his nails. In this proximity, Kashuu could feel the heat emanating from your body, your breathing a ghostly press against his fingers. He held himself still as you continued examining his hand; tamped down the implacable urge to reciprocate your grasp and intertwine his fingers with yours.

Then, meeting his eyes, you declared: "Paint my nails too."

Kashuu was distinctly aware that you hadn't let go of his hand, but he ignored that little, insistent fact and bit his tongue, nodded instead.

Ten minutes later found you and him sitting on your futon, Kashuu applying polish on your nails with painstaking care. It had been a while since he was in your room, the last time being during the early days when it had been just you and him. On one level, it was nostalgic; on another, agony.

“Relax, Kashuu,” you said, and that was when Kashuu realized that his hands were trembling. Nerves? How quaint. “It won’t bother me if you accidentally paint outside my nails.”

“Well, I will. It’s just … I haven’t painted somebody else’s nails before.”

“So that makes me the first?”

Somehow that brought heat to Kashuu’s cheeks.

“Don’t blame me if it turned out ugly.”

A chuckle. “I won’t.”

When he finished, you brought up your hands to admire Kashuu’s work, which, he noted admittedly, required further practice (should they do it again in the future?). The shaft of sunlight through the window panes spilled onto your skin like luminous, molten liquid. Kashuu watched your expression, your smile an intimate, coveted secret, and for one ethereal moment Kashuu wondered if you would allow him to press his fingers to your lips, to see if that smile was just an illusion of light.

You raised your eyes in his direction. The smile remained. “I like it.”

Something lodged in his throat, one Kashuu swallowed to get rid of. He averted his gaze, because if he didn’t, the yearning that took root inside of him centuries ago might grow uncontrollably until it would burst out of the crevices of his skin and bones.

It would only take a plum blossom smile, after all, to undo him.

What would it take to unravel you? To pluck your petaled secret, one by one, until all that’s left was the bare-boned stem of your vulnerability.

On one sunny day, Kashuu and his team returned to the citadel after a long, harrowing campaign, bruised and battered, barely surviving. You were standing a few feet away, intending to greet them a welcome home (as you always did, with effusive affection). But upon seeing their perilous state, your face crumbled into shock and demanded they get treated right away. The worry you emitted was so palpable it affected the air like static.

After hours of convalescence, Kashuu sought you out and found you sitting at the engawa, staring at the garden. You did not acknowledge him when he sat next to you, lost in your thoughts as it was. And for a while: liminal silence.

But then this, faintly, whispered into the muted air: “I thought I was going to lose you.”

You, with your half-mast gaze, the stiff line of your mouth, the pinch in your eyebrows – it jolted Kashuu with a realization: his near-brush with death terrified you. Kashuu wanted, badly, to reach out, brush the stray lock out of your taut face and rest his hand on your cheek. He wanted to assure you of his presence, of his vitality, that he didn’t die, that he’s still here, next to you, still wanting, still yearning.

“Will you cry if I –” Kashuu began haltingly “– if I die…?”

And you finally looked at him, eyes glassy, smile tremulous. “Oh, Kashuu.”

And he couldn’t take it anymore: he took your hands, cradled them close to his lips, mouthing prayers into your skin. For a long time, Kashuu had been asking questions the answers to which he had wanted to know but never had the courage to hear. But this – this right now, there was no need for the act of utterance, the release that he had imagined for so many nights when he couldn’t sleep. He could feel it in the way you shivered in his hold, the shuddering sigh that escaped your lips. The way your hands curved to fit in his.

When he brought his gaze back to yours, you were still smiling, but now it was subdued, like the sky minutes before sunrise.

“I want you to know,” you said, “that there’s nobody like you. Nobody. Nobody can replace you, Kashuu. Nobody.”

In the fiery, sunset-lit garden, Kashuu closed his eyes, and breathed.

The next day, you and Kashuu sat at the citadel roof to watch the sunrise, hands entwined.

ᴀ/ɴ: I thought it be nice to start introducing my fellow followers to Touken Ranbu just as my friends had. Starting with a very nice sword that I finally gotten yesterday.

"Aruji... Do you really know what you're doing?" Kashuu placed a hand against his hip as he watched (Y/N) work with the device in the citadel. "I have to understand it first so I'm studying it. I heard I can open the gates to the time and close it without any meaningful damage..." (Y/N) spoke softly. "I just need to get better for the other swords..."

Kashuu frowned. He placed another hand on your shoulder as he glanced at Konnosuke. "Even if you are a bit out of touch, Konnosuke is here to help." With a sigh, the saniwa stepped back. "I just... I want to be as reliable as Kashuu is to me. I want the upcoming Toudan to be as their Saniwa." With a defeated sigh, (Y/N) let go of the device. Looking at Kashuu whose back faced the thousand year sakura tree. Following your eyes, he gazed at the tree before taking your hand with his. "Aruji... (Y/N)-sama even if you don't know anything... I'll be forever with you until fate decides we done our part." Kashuu smiled. "Kashuu-kun..." (Y/N) smiled back.

"Focus on me, aruji." Kashuu's voice quivered. His arms held you tightly. "We're almost safe. Please. Please aruji-sama." His pleads filled you with tears. "You'll be fine, we just have to find Yagen-" (Y/N)'s head turned as Kashuu's heart dropped. Yagen's voice was hurt and not only that both he and the saniwa heard the sound of a shattering blade. "YAGEN!" The forced cry of their master alarmed the rest of the swords.

"Tell... tell them to retreat, Kashuu-" He didn't had to be told twice. Ordering the troops to retreat before he noticed that their saniwa had fully lost consciousness. Retreating Yagen's remains was hard with the kebiishi remaining there. However it had been done with the uchigatana. Kashuu had been leading the group as (Y/N) recuperated. Who would have thought it would take so much time?

Without Yagen, their knowledge was limited. Repairing Yagen took a lot of their resource as they had to make up for the parts that were lost to the wind. Not only did he know that Yagen would be reluctant, he wouldn't remember (Y/N) either. The mission had only been to clear out anything that remained from last time, he didn't understand who had attempted to alter the past.

"Is... aruji-sama going to come back to us?" The tantous would sneak into the room whenever Kashuu wasn't around to keep the unconscious (Y/N) company. It broke his heart. He knew how much they wanted to ensure they wouldn't have to worry. The Time Restoration Group had no missions that they could take in order to get someone of a similar practice or lend a hand to their Saniwa. Keeping appearances was hard when all Kashuu could do was worry feverishly for (Y/N)-sama.

"Kashuu-san." Gokotai looked at him. "Do you think aruji-sama will recover?"

"I think they'll recover." He tried to smile for him as the two watched over. "Yagen-kun... Will he remember aruji-sama? Or us...?" Kashuu shook his head. "He may remember his brothers but the memories he made here... are lost forever." Kashuu spoke softly before he stroked Gokotai's hair. The suzu bells began to ring. Kashuu and Gokorai shared a worried look before they met the rest by the suzu bells. Konnosuke sat calmly as he waited for the rest of the people to gather.

The crowd had began to talk worriedly about what was happening as the last to arrive had been the secretary of the citadel.

"I called you here to discuss the absence of your Saniwa." Konnosuke looked at the Toudan. "Due to their abesence the Time Restoration Group has decided to send in their own people to monitor and currently lead this citadel until their recovery is finalized. I let them know that one of our Tantou had fallen in battle and would help us recover him. Is there any questions?"

"Why now?" They all began to ask before Kashuu cleared his throat. "Better now than never, let's be humble with the Time Restoration group. Our Saniwa had been trained by them and it was because of them we have meet aruji-sama."

Everyone calmed down at those words. Recovery for everyone had been advanced and duties daily were encouraged. Monitoring the Saniwa had become easier and improvements had been shown as they were informed of the current waking of their master during their sortie to the Eras.

Now all sat by the bedroom waiting for the Time Restoration Group to exit. Konnosuke stayed by the door before it was opened as Kashuu was given the authorization to enter the room. At the bed laid (Y/N) who remained staring out the open window as the group of medics dispersed. "(Y/N)..."

He kneeled down in front of the bed. "Do you..."

"I remember, thank you Kashuu-chan." They smiled at him.

To kiss you with such selfish little lips? Dyed in scarlet and painted with nothing but want and desire and lust?

To let his cherry painted fingers dash over your skin and come undone under him?

Would you ever dare to allow him such a pleasure?

As you whisper nothing but sweet little praises into his ears, your fingers tucked under his chin and pull him closer.

He leans into your touch like this, a needy little whimper leaving his lips, and you tell him that he can be as selfish as he wants.

So his gloved hands tangle into your clothing, desperate and wanting – and slam your lips together. He cares not for the rouge that decorates his lips, washing away with the tide.

It is your little world here, behind these closed doors of his little backstage room; your hands tangling on his locks and giving it just a little experimental tug.

Poor Kashuu nigh cums from that alone, his moan oh so loud – bouncing off of the walls and ringing in your ears. It’s nothing but little wanton sounds from his lips, cheeks flushed and head swirling with nothing but lust and need.

When you two part, there is a string of saliva connecting you two; a silvery sliver of a string of ate.

Even as you two part ways, he whispers that he wants more, timidly asking you for such a prize.

Again and again, you will happily give yourself up to his selfish little lips.

Kashuu holds his breath without thinking, his eyes wide with wonder as he watches your figure flit around in fluid motions. He happened to be passing by the training room, believed to be empty, but managed to catch a glimpse of you in the middle of a dance.

Now that he thinks about it, he remembers one of your friends asking that you perform a dance at their innauguration anniversary and that you had accepted. Now he understands why you were requested: you were amazing.

Kashuu continues standing there in stunned silence before you feel his eyes on you, and you direct his gaze towards him, stopping with your dance. The uchigatana jumps in surprise at the sudden eye contact and bows his head in embarrassment.

"S-Sorry, I didn't mean to intrude." The apology is a clumsy mess, his cheeks warm as his eyes glance anywhere in the room except for you. You smile in reassurance before gesturing him to come over with a wave of your hand, and he obeys. You ask if he would like to watch you practice, and he nods his head with pure enthusiasm.

Kashuu's eyes remain fixated on you as you resume your routine. He can't look away. He doesn't even want to blink and possibly miss anything with the way you move. He's never seen anyone as beautiful and charming as you.

Driving Headcanons with the Touken Danshi (aka the Saniwa is fearing for their life)

Pairings: Touken Danshi x Reader (sorry I’m too lazy to type all of the pairings in this) uh... this can be taken as either platonic or romantic it’s up to you

Content Warnings: Potential car crashes/accidents and drunkenness because Jiroutachi, also allusion stripping because Sengo, threats of physical violence (road rage), swearing

(essentially Saniwa usually drives them around whenever they need to but some of the swords got curious and wanted to try driving themselves)

- Saniwa (Reader): 

    - Already knows how to drive and is the one teaching them how to 

    - Please send help 

    - “Why did I think it would be a good idea to let these swords drive….” 

- Kasen:

    - Pretended not to be interested in driving but actually wants to learn 

    - Wants to drive elegantly and with poise, but has terrible road rage 

    - Fails the driving test and gave up 

    - “My driving will be as elegant and refined as me~”

    - 15 minutes later at someone who cut him off “YOU BASTARD ILL HAVE YOUR HEAD AND SERVE IT TO SANIWA-“ 

- Izuminokami: 

    - Actually didn’t want to learn how to drive at first but then got into a competition with Mutsunokami on who could get their driver’s license quicker

    - Izuminokami is ok at driving but due to the competition aspect, he fucking floors it a lot 

    - Passed after 2-3 tries 

    - “I’m not letting that son of a bitch Mutsunokami win!” 

- Mutsunokami: 

    - One of the first Touken Danshi to want to learn how to drive, is very interested in how the car works and often studies it 

    - You would think his enthusiasm would go overboard in this case but is actually a decent driver since he took the time to practice and learn about it

    - Passed on the first try, Izuminokami was pissed 

    - “So cool! Hey Saniwa can we look at this model please!” 

- Tomoegata: 

    - Didn’t really care about it until Saniwa mentioned that they needed help driving around the rest of the Touken Danshi

    - Tried their hardest to get good at driving and basically tried thinking of it as a horse, took a little bit, is able to drive pretty well 

    - Passed on their first try 

    - “I will drive so that I can relieve the Saniwa’s burden of driving” 

- Hasebe: 

    - Also did not care until Saniwa mentioned that they needed help and he immediately looked into driving lessons 

    - Ok he passed with flying colors on the written exam but on the practical exam, he has bad road rage 

    - It took like 3-5 tries for him to pass and would not concede until he got his license 

    - “If it’s for Saniwa, I’ll drive them everywhere!” 

- Kashuu: 

    - Could not give any less of a shit, “Saniwa already drives me around, why do I need to drive when I know they drive me out of love~” but then wants to show his appreciation to them seeing as how they’re constantly driving them around and it’s getting to them since they’re anxious about driving 

    - Honestly he was scared as hell when first driving, was constantly afraid of accidentally damaging his car and other cars, so he was anxious, drives much slower out of fear, took a while to get used to driving, poor baby needs a lot of reassurance

    - Was also in the camp of wanting to drive and wanted to drive in a cool car (sorry Micchan we’re not that rich) and really studied hard with Mucchan on driving 

    - In the beginning, Acts like he knows what he’s doing, in reality he doesn’t know jack shit, takes a while but he gets the hang of it, is a pretty calm driver 

    - Passed on the 2nd try because he made some easy mistakes caused him to insta-fail 

    - “Hey Saniwa can we get this car, it’s so cool- what? It’s not in our budget?” 

- Jiroutachi: 

    - No just no, you know why 

    - Booze and driving do not mix, mostly just gets you or someone else to drive her around (taroutachi is the one who learns how to drive lol) 

    - Is passed out drunk in the backseat 

    - “Drive fasterrrr~ hehehehe” 

- Mikazuki: 

    - You would think that this old man wouldn’t be up to it but he’s actually interested in learning how to drive

    - However he drives like he’s in a Fast & Furious movie and Saniwa often fears for their life while in the car with him, yet while driving like in a car chase, he still keeps his calm demeanor 

    - Maybe it was to mess with Saniwa but somehow he passed on the first try 

    - He’s talking about how the earth turns to roads when it was once rivers “JIJI PLEASE WATCH THE ROAD” 

- Kogitsunemaru: 

    - Wanted to learn how to drive in order for Saniwa to get some rest from driving (in reality it’s so he can have more time with them and so they can brush his hair) 

    - Was really confused on what he was supposed to do but after a lot of lessons, he became confident in his driving 

    - That being said it took him like 3 tries in order to pass 

    - “Anything for Nushi-Sama, but which direction do I go in once I reverse?” 

- Sengo: 

    - Was also surprisingly interested in learning how to drive and was seen talking to the car??? (I’m in love with my car plays in the bg /j) 

    - Despite what others may think, he’s a natural at driving and you feel so safe in the car with him??? Saniwa could take a breather in the chaos with him that being said he often says he’ll strip in the car 

    - Passed on first try with flying colors 

    - “Fufufufufufufu, the car is obeying my commands, shall I strip? Why are you asking me to pull over?” 

- Azuki: 

    - Mostly wanted to learn how to drive so he could drive the Tantous to get sweets and to get groceries without having to get Saniwa to drive him every time 

    - Thankfully doesn’t have road rage but he’s very slow, like too slow man, like driving 40 mph on a freeway type of slow, Saniwa was about to push him out of the driver’s seat and floor it for him, he’s just concerned for the children’s safety 

    - Passed after 2-3 tries 

    - After Saniwa tells him to please be within the speed limit “Think of the children Saniwa, I don’t want to accidentally shake them with my driving.” You almost get pulled over for driving so slow, Azuki

- Hizamaru: 

    - Mostly just wanted to be able to drive his brother and you around, nothing else, so he put his heart into learning how to drive 

    - Did pretty well on the written portion but was too overly concerned on the road to focus, often Saniwa had to reassure him that he’s doing great 

    - Passed on his 2nd try, would have passed on the 1st try if he didn’t second guess himself 

    - “Maybe Anija will remember my name once I drive him everywhere!” Hizamaru baby….

- Otegine: 

    - Huh??? Why are you asking a spear that’s only good at piercing to drive? Was really against it until he saw how much ‘fun’ everyone else was having and decided to give it a go

    - His driving is choppy and abrupt to say the least, Saniwa’s head hit the windshield a couple of times over how abrupt his stops were, he apologized every time 

    - It took him like 3-5 tries to pass but hey he passed! 

    - Screams this while on the freeway “The one thing I’m good is piercing, not driving!” 

- Sanchoumou: 

    - Pretty chill about it and up to try anything so he was up to try his hand at driving 

    - Maybe a little bit too enthusiastic, almost crashed into another car but hey it’s fine…. For now, but is a quick learner and good listener so he should be fine… in theory 

    - It took him like 3-4 times but hey this bird can drive now! 

    - “Let’s see how fast this little bird goes!” You had to make him slow down before he got a ticket 

- Nagasone: 

    - Was a little interested and was up for anything so he tried his hand at it

    - Pretty chill driver that made sure to listen to your instructions, honestly he comes off as a natural until you snap out of it when he runs over a curb 

    - Passed on first try

    - “I guess this counterfeit is good at driving too!” 

- After all of that however Saniwa never wanted to teach driving ever again and passes out

Kashuualways sticks a bit close and hasn’t ever been shy in regards to seeking youraffections

As such,it can be difficult to discern when he’s sticking closer, especially if you’rethe more dense type, but it’s clear something is amiss when you look at himmore closely

He looksmore tired than he usually does and his expression seems to be laced with somekind of anxiety so you set aside your duties to pay him some special attention

Withhardly any warning you give him a hug, wrapping your arms around his body

It takeshim a moment to return the gesture, a bit longer than usual, but you’re gladthat he at least seems willing to return your affection

Then youpull back a little, look at him, and ask him if he’s willing to entertain yourselfishness for a bit, since you want to ditch work

You tryto frame it as you being selfish and doing as you please but Kashuu knows youwell enough to know that you’re doing this for his sake

It makeshim tear up a bit and he tries telling you not to worry about him, but you’vealready called out to another sword and delegated your work to them

In theend, you convince Kashuu to let you paint his nails

The resultis a bit messy and uneven, and even to you the result is only passable, butKashuu insists its beautiful and he loves them because it’s you

Souzaisn’t really one for intimacy, even though he’s come to trust you

As such,you expected him to go to his brothers after what you presume to have been along day for him (Kousetsu is a soothing presence after all)

So when Souza seeks you out, you’re quitesurprised

It’s notmuch, just him wandering over to where you are (and to his relief, you’realone) and he just stays close to you

But youknow him and the implications of him sticking so close are, even if he doesn’ttouch you

If you’rein the middle of doing something, you set it to the side so you can focus onhim

Nothingyou’re doing at the moment is more important than being there for Souza,especially since he’s sought you out himself

You setaside your present work and smile at him, looking into his eyes, silentlyasking if it’s okay for you to touch him

It’s oneof the few times that he’s agreed without much effort from you, which onlyfurther confirms your earlier thoughts

So youjust gently take his hand in yours and lace your fingers together and standcloser to him

Youaren’t really close to each other, but this kind of intimacy is rare and youwonder what more you can do for him

If you’vemanaged to get really close to him, he even lets you sit between his legs

But i never had a oneshot book so big though.

Okay, I'll explain a few rules here for requesting.

1. Do not request smut or sex between blood-related characters, PLEASE. NO. INCEST.

2. Be specific when requesting, don't just type character x reader, give me more detail on what you want me to write, this rule applies to oneshots, headcanons, scenarios and AU's.

3. This should be expected, but I'm putting this down here anyway. I do not write sex scenes with minors In them. Nor do I write minors with a character who is 18+, smut or not.

4. I can also write Polyandry / Polygyny, LGBT+ etc.

5. If you request sexual trauma or rape, I will NOT write It explicitly. Same with gore.

6. I also write character x character and oc x character, If you want me to write a character with your oc you'll have to give me information about their looks, backstory, personality, etc.

Shoes hit against the floor as the owner of them walked through the hallway, eventually stopped walking and went up to one of the rooms, opening the door upon hearing laughter.

"Auntie?"

A woman sitting In a chair next to a hospital bed walked up to the girl and hugged her.

"Crystal! Great timing, dear." The woman exclaimed, pulling away from the raven haired girl, pointing over to the hospital bed, "This Is Rei, she's one of the patients here, can you keep her company for a little bit while I take care of something else."

Crystal nodded, her lips forming Into a smile, "Sure." She said, to which her aunt gave her a thumbs up and left the room.

The white haired woman smiled softly, patting the chair Crystal's aunt was sitting In earlier, "Would you like to sit with me, dear?"

"A- Ah! Sure!" The girl hesitantly walked over and sat In the chair by the hospital bed.

She's pretty...

"Do you come to the hospital often?"

Crystal jumped slightly, "Ah...I do sometimes so I can visit my aunt..."

"Well, when you come by..Can you visit me? I would appreciate the company."

Crystal looked up, smiling once more, "Of course!"

Crystal's feet moved back and forth as she wasn't really paying attention In class and looking at the heterochromiac boy who's seat was In front of hers, he turned his head to meet her eyes, aware of her staring and raising a brow. Crystal quickly turned her head, her face was flushed red as she covered It.

He's so quiet...

Steps were heard going down the hallway,

"Don't talk to her, It'll make everything worse than what It Is."

Screw that.

Shouto opened the door, about to say something but widened his eyes when he saw a familiar face.

Crystal turned her head to the door upon hearing It open and her eyes widened also.

After a while of Shouto talking with his mother, reuniting with her and Rei explaining the situation of Crystal visiting her both of the teenagers eventually went together to go visit Rei who would often wink and say something along the lines of, 'You two have been getting close lately' or 'I'm so glad you both are friends'.

And that one day came.

Crystal handed the flowers In the vase to Rei, "Here you go, I hope you like them!"

Rei looked at the flowers and smiled, "Thank you, sweetie. How did you know I like these?"

"It was actually Shouto who told me..." Crystal rubbed her neck, which was as flushed as her face.

"Hm, that's sweet of him...Shame that he doesn't have a girlfriend yet." Rei sent Crystal a wink and the raven haired girl stumbled, her dark brown eyes widening slightly.

"H...How...Did you..."

"Mothers just know, get 'em tiger!" Rei winked again and Crystal came out of the hospital room, more redder than usual.

Shouto raised a brow, "Are you alright?"

"I- I'm fine! I'll just head back home now!"

"I can walk you back If you want?"

"S...Sure!" She squeaked, earning another eyebrow raise from Shouto, but the male said nothing as they headed out the hospital.

Crystal looked up at the sky, eyes widening once more.

"What's wrong?"

"I...I don't have an umbrella..." She admitted, looking at the dark sky as It rained cats and dogs.

"There's a extra one at my place, we can go there and I can get It for you?"

Crystal nodded, "Okay."

The two teenagers headed to the house, turning around and noticing Crystal was soaked from the rain, her uniform somewhat see-through and Shouto quickly turned his head, his face flushing slightly.

"I...I should get you some new clothes, you'll get a cold..."

Crystal looked down, noticing her clothing being wet she flustered, nodding, Shouto went to his room, grabbing a new shirt, It was a little big but he hoped that It would fit her, he came out. Passing the shirt to Crystal. "You can change In the bathroom." He said, the raven haired girl nodded, heading to the bathroom as Shouto searched for that extra umbrella, after finding It he headed to the bathroom, completely forgetting to knock and he opened the door.

"Hey, I found the umbrella and I'll place It nea-" He froze, pausing with his words as his face flushed slightly and Crystal jumped, putting her hands over her chest to hide the bra that she was wearing.

"Sh- Shouto?!" She screeched, stumbling a little as she tried to regain her balance from surprise, she was expecting the male to leave but Instead he walked Into the bathroom, standing In front of her.

"I like you."

Huh...?!

The girl wasn't sure If she should laugh or say that she liked him as well, he just said It with such a straight face which turned Into a pinkish hue after she stayed silent for so long.

Is this even a good time to say that...?

Crystal shook the thoughts out of her head, holding the shirt that he gave her earlier over her chest, she blushed and turned her head away. "I like you as well...But..."

"Hm?"

"Shouldn't we talk about this when I'm...Decent...?"

As If a delayed reaction Shouto's face turned as red as the left side of him, to which Crystal let out a soft chuckle.

"I..I'm sorry."

"It's fine Shouto." She smiled softly as the male headed out of the bathroom.

His lips were dry, maybe a little chapped as well.

The kiss was sloppy but It seemed like neither had cared,

Shouto pulled back and Crystal's eyes widened, "Uh...Shouto?"

"Yes?"

"Your left shoulder Is on fire..."

"Damn It."

How would Kashuu, Houchou and Tomoegata react to an official who tries to woo the saniwa?

Time Government Official tries to woo Saniwa (GN!Reader)

♡ Kashuu and the Saniwa were at the Time Government HQ to drop off the recent supports for the HRA Invasion research. Normally such paperwork would either be mailed in or an official would come to the citadel to get it themselves.

♡ Due to the gravity of the situation, such documents were required to be delivered to the HQ right away in case it could help make a breakthrough on such an awful event happening.

♡ Kashuu was the sword assigned to be Saniwa's personal bodyguard for this trip... You can never be too safe now a days.

♡ However there was one thing he didn't plan for...

♡ A man with long, curled, black hair that was shaved on the left side and green eyes lit up when he saw Saniwa appear with their paperwork.

♡ "Angel, if you told me you were coming today, I would of dressed up nicer for you." He commented to the Saniwa who looked almost taken aback as Kashuu was.

♡ "Do you know him, aruji?" Kashuu whispered. A ping of anger rushing through his gut as he heard the way he spoke to his master.

♡ "He is just an official I have talked to a few times... We aren't close."

♡ Not close, huh? Meaning that Kashuu didn't have to be nice.

♡ "You really should of dressed up nicer. You came into work looking like that? This isn't time be in your lounge wear... I see stains all over that poor white shirt."

♡ It was now time for him and the Saniwa to look at Kashuu in shock. All the while, a proud smile on Kashuu face. He wasn't sure exactly what it was but the way he talked to his saniwa irked him beyond belief and wanted to make it stop right then and there.

♡ "Since we are in a busy situation, something you clearly don't know about since you are living the good life while aruji puts their life on the line, we will be going. Enjoy the paperwork." He took the folder out of their hands and slide it over to him.

♡ His hand gently grabbed Saniwa's and lead them out. Part of him felt shame for letting such an ugly emotion out in front of someone he held so dear to him... But he couldn't help it. He couldn't just stand there and watch that.

♡ "You still think I'm a pretty sword... Right?" He whispered to them.

♡ "Of course I do. I also know you have emotions Kashuu. I won't leave your side just because of that."

♡ "Better not. I want to be the most loved. So I can't let that guy steal you away from me."

♡ Houchou heard there was a visitor at the door asking for his saniwa. Being the nosy tantou he was, he walked to the front of the citadel and opened the door.

♡ He was greeted by a Time Government Official with rough golden skin, short, straight, blond hair and brown eyes. He held a platycodon bouquet in his hands and a shocked expression when he saw it wasn't the saniwa that opened the door.

♡ "Oh hello. Is (Y/N) coming?"

♡ (Y/N)? (Y/N)!? How dare he use your name so casually like that!

♡ "Why do you need aruji...?" Hanchou asked, as he put a gummy bear into his mouth and sharpened his gaze at the man. He was trying real hard to be intimidating... but he is a little too cute for that.

♡ "I was going to ask them out on a date. These flowers are for them." He grinned. "We never talked before but I wanted to strike up my chance with them."

♡ Hanchou looked behind him to make sure that no one was close before he drew his attention to the stranger in front of him. "Aruji is sick right now..." He lied and gave a sad face. "But I can give those flowers to them for you!"

♡ He thought it over for a few seconds before finally giving in and gave the bouquet to Hanchou. "Please let them know I'm hoping they recover soon and to come to the HQ if they want that date-"

♡ "Uh huh." After getting the flowers, Hanchou closed the door in his face and skipped down the hall to Saniwa's study.

♡ Looking over the flowers to make sure there was no note that could out him about what he had just done.

♡ Before he even got to their room, Saniwa was making their way down the hall to go to the front door.

♡ "Aruji!! Aruji!!!" Hanchou cheerfully squealed as he ran up to them, holding the large bouquet out to them. "I got this for you!! Do you like them?"

♡ You couldn't help but blink for a few seconds before leaning down and admiring the beautiful flowers. "These are lovely, Hanchou. How did you get them?" They asked as they took the flowers and hugged the small tantou.

♡ He quickly returned the hug. "I saved up my allowance to get you a gift!" Hanchou smirked into their shoulder as the saniwa thanked him. No one needed to know Hanchou little secret.

♡ A time government official made her way into the citadel to discuss something important with the Saniwa. Tomoegata was currently the assigned attendant to the saniwa, so it was his job to guide any guests to the meeting room and make sure saniwa knew of the unexpected guest.

♡ When Tomoegata arrived to his saniwa's office to tell them of the news, the saniwa was flustered over the sudden visit. Clearly not told beforehand at all. He told them that they would meet them in the meeting room after he made tea for everyone.

♡ The tray was set with three cups and a pot full of chamomile.

♡ "Please excuse me." He called out as he opened the door and pulled in the tea cart. Only to witness the girl with short, wavy, black hair and brown eyes be drawn very close to his saniwa and touching their arm.

♡ The Saniwa looked very uncomfortable. Tomoegata's mouth was left agape from the scene before him as he walked over to the table and put the two cups very far apart.

♡ "I will ask you to unhand my master since they clearly are uncomfortable by your advances, miss." His tall form stood over her and casted a shadow over her.

♡ It looked as if she was debating it before slowly moving away and to the seat with her cup.

♡ Tomoegata gave a look to ask if his master was truly okay... only receiving a shaky nod in return. He decided that tea, in the end, was not needed for the discussion.

♡ "It seems my aruji is not feeling well today. What is it that you came here for that was so important you didn't give notice?" He asked. His voice firm and strict. Something normally Tomoegata didn't do since he knew the people around him were more experienced and he had much to learn.

♡ "Ah... Did I really need a reason to come see their cute face?"

♡ "Yes. As aruji's face is not there for your pleasure. If you have nothing to discuss, please follow me to the exit. Now."

♡ His brows furrowed as he gestured to the doorway, away from his saniwa. You could see the wheels in her head turning as if trying to figure a reason to stay and flirt more with her crush. Clearly not being a fan of this Naginata... She decided it was best to retreat for now.

♡ Before Tomoegata left to show her the way, he poured his master a cup of tea. "Please take all the time you need, aruji. I will return quickly to heed any call you may give."

♡ His sharp gaze returned once more when his eyes landed on her and walked in front to lead her away from the one he held dear. He would never admit it to anyone... But that was the first time Tomoegata felt true anger. He didn't realized it until the moon rose in the sky and he talked to Kokindenjunotachi about what occurred in the afternoon.

♡ He learned from his soothing words that those emotions were rather normal and sometimes were called jealousy. A part of him was scared that he could hold just burning emotions inside him that clouded his mind... but the other side made him feel like he could float on a cloud from understanding another part of being human and could connect closer to his Saniwa.

Yagen Toushirou

The minute Yagen finds out that you’re sick as hell not in a good way, he immediately wants you to rest. He’ll fucking guard your room himself if he must. He doesn’t panic like Kashuu will (more on that later) but to him, it’s your health above all. He will be that nurse who comes to check on you every hour for updates, taking your temperature and so on and so forth.

He keeps his brothers away from you during this time. The more hyper ones at least, they can go sit in a corner and think about what they’ve done.The quieter ones like Gokotai or Akita or Ichigo can stay, he can trust them. They can help him take care of you!

And then you sneak outta your room while Gokotai’s tiger(s) didn’t notice and now you’re WORKING? IN THIS CITADEL? OH N O. Yagen may be small as fuck (5 feet/153 cm) but damn right he’s going to carry you back to your DAMN ROOM.

Now the more hyper brothers are of use. They rat you out the minute you try to work, and keep you distracted. Sure they’re going to carry you back to your room and take away anything that seems like work but damn right they are going to help you get better. It’s what the doc ordered!

If you’re just bored in bed, it’s up to Yagen and the Toushirous to the rescue! Gokotai with her tiger(s), Hirano and Maeda with stories and four leaf clovers, Hakata with whatever the heck he’s up to, and so on and so forth! Maybe Yagen will give you a lap pillow to help you relax? I mean you do it to him and he does it to his siblings. Why not complete the circle of love and give you a lap pillow!!

YEs he will still take away anything related to your work. Yes he’ll have his brothers guard you and watch movies with you. He’ll join in of course, letting you lean your head on his shoulder as you nap and then usher everyone out.

Yeah Yagen may get sick but it’s not like he can’t take care of himself! He can and will! He’ll multi-task and take care of you and himself at the same time!

All of the soup. He’s going to ask Kasen and Micchan how to cook and make you soup or something or other to munch on while you’re sick. Not really the udon song in Hanamaru but more along the lines of “sus looking but healthy and taste good so it’s edible” and he does make it with you in mind so it’s the thought that counts?

Yagen knows you’ll bounce back easily, it’s just a cold. You’ll only make it worse if you work! GO BACK TO BED. Don’t make him drug you. he won’t he promises

But if anything Yagen trusts you. He wants you to feel better! You are his master and you are important to this citadel. You just have to get better! Yagen will stay by your side until the end for that!

Kashuu Kiyomitsu

Oh this poor young man PANICS when he finds out that you’re sick. Perhaps he’s still thinking of Okita and how he died from his illness, immediately will ask if it’s some kinda disease similar to TB. But when Yagen tells him that it’s just a normal cold or something his panic leaves him but like - dude, he’ll still worry about you.

Assuming you two are together, Kashuu will know your habits by now. He knows that you will try to work while being sick so you wake up to find your room full of nothing but nail polish and beauty products. Where the fuck did your papers go? Back in your office where those damn things belong. You are not leaving your room while you are resting.

If you are bored, expect Kashuu to tell you stories or just do little things with you. Make hair accessories or accessories in general, paint and mess with your nails and hands - give you kisses. Sure you may look like hell from falling in and outta sleep like this but he loves you none the less!

And then you sneak outta your room to go work and Kashuu has to drag you back to bed. Asks the rest of the Shinsengumi to help seal off the door to your office. He’s carrying you as Yams and Nagasone lock the doors and Horikawa is making soup and Kane-san is just....being moral support.

If you keep on insisting that you want to work, Kashuu will only give you the easiest documents to work on, along with the shortest ones. He’s not letting you work for too long, he knows how bad it is to overwork yourself. You bet your ass he’s going to be there right next to you, hovering over your shoulder and taking your papers away when he thinks you have had enough.

Cuddles. Don’t fucking think that just because you’re sick Kashuu won’t cuddle your ass. Yes he’s a little concerned with you sneezing and coughing on him but if it’s for his beloved master (and romantic partner) he’ll do whatever he needs to do to make you happy!

No lippy kisses during sicky days. It’s forehead and cheek kisses or bust.

As you recover you can see the life shine back in his eyes, oh so happy that you’re okay! If anything happened to you, oh man Kashuu would be disTRAUGHT. He’s still going to hover around you though, worried beyond belief.

Most of all, if you’re uber cuddling during your sick times, KAshuu is more than willing to cuddle~!

RATING: Teen | GENRE: Hurt/Comfort | WORD COUNT: 1,217 SUMMARY: Kashuu becomes jealous and worried as soon as Mikazuki comes along.

Kashuu took great pride in his looks. He spent long periods of time in his room, making sure that his appearance was perfect so that he could present himself to his master at his absolute best. You complimented him with honest words whenever he asked you how he looked for the day, but every now and then, you would offer compliments to the other swords, and that made him upset at times. However, while it did upset him, he tried not to let it bother him too much to affect his relationship with the others and in turn his performance on the battlefield. All in all, Kashuu was satisfied with how things were. That is, until you managed to get your hands on a certain new sword.

"Mikazuki Munechika," the ornate sword introduced himself with elegance and grace. "They call me Mikazuki on account of the many patterns on my blade. Please take care of me."

"Oh my... I've heard many things about you, but to see you personally like this... You really are beautiful as they say," you breathed out, entranced at the sword that bowed before you.

A small laugh left Mikazuki's lips, "You flatter me, Master."

Kashuu watched this small exchange from the side along with the other swords who were already in your possession. Everybody wanted to see who this new ally was, and it sort of became a new tradition to introduce themselves individually. As Kashuu continued to watch, he could slowly feel his heart sinking. The look on your face as you welcomed Mikazuki was one of pure awe and admiration. Kashuu tightly balled his hands into fists. He could feel his nails start to dig into his skin, and he was certain he could draw blood from his palm at any second.

Shishiou, who was standing beside the male, noticed this and asked, "Hm? What's wrong Kashuu?"

"Nothing," Kashuu answered in a much harsher tone than he realized. "Excuse me." He then swiftly turned on his heel and pushed a few swords aside as he left the area, unable to bear seeing his master look at anyone asides from him with that kind of expression.

The next few days, you had spent most of your time with Mikazuki, trying to help get him accustomed to his new life in the citadel. Kashuu, who was extremely bored one morning, had decided to leisurely pass the time talking with you. He walked throughout the citadel but was unable to find you. When Kashuu asked one of his fellow uchigatanas who was training by himself, he said that Kashuu might be able to find you in Mikazuki's room.

Without a moment's hesitation, Kashuu headed towards the newcomer's room. Once he had reached his destination, he hesitated. "Uh..."

"Oh, is that you, Kashuu?" your familiar voice spoke from within the room when you heard his voice.

Then, unreservedly and rather rudely, the male opened the door without permission. He peered in and saw that you were helping Mikazuki get dressed. Kashuu paused for a moment before whining, "Master~ I'm booored!"

"Ah, sorry," you apologized to Kashuu, giving him a quick glance. "I'll be done here soon. Just wait a bit."

In front of you, you heard Mikazuki speak. "Sorry. Fashion is not one of my strong points. I always need to ask other people for help."

"No need to apologize," you smiled as you continued helping Mikazuki get into his beautiful attire.

From the corner of your eyes, you saw Kashuu walk into the room and sit himself down on the tatami beside Mikazuki. He watched, fidgeting and shifting his position every so often. Mikazuki glanced to the side to look at Kashuu. They met each other's gaze, and Kashuu saw the corners of the other sword's lips tug upwards into a knowing smile. The uchigatana couldn't tell if it was mocking him or not; he was too upset to make any calm and rational observations.

"Aaand...done!" you announced, catching Kashuu's attention.

The male was quick to stand on his feet and tugged at your arm, "Great! Now let's go~ I'm bored!"

You put up little to no resistance towards Kashuu's incessant tugging and quickly wished Mikazuki to have a good day before leaving his room, telling him that he could do whatever he wanted for the day. The ornate sword waved his hand, wearing an amused smile as he watched the two of you leave.

"Kashuu, wait," you winced slightly at the sword's grip which was much too tight for comfort. "That hurts!"

The uchigatana snapped out of his thoughts and immediately let go of you. His eyes widened with fear and regret, and the male bowed his head low. "I'm sorry..." he whispered, his voice cracking the slightest bit.

You intended to reassure Kashuu that everything was fine, but your words got caught in your throat when the uchigatana's soft sobs reached your ears. Kashuu's shoulders shook, keeping his head bowed. He didn't want you to see him in such an ugly state. What he said next surprised you. "...Please don't leave me."

Confusion crawled onto your features from the sudden and strange request. "What...?"

The young man stared hard at the ground, his fingers finding each other and started fiddling them. He made an audible gulp, an attempt to relieve his suddenly dry throat. Still refusing to look up at you, Kashu finally spoke, his voice wavering, "Mikazuki is...very beautiful."

You were unable to keep up with the conversation, and the puzzled frown remains painted on your lips. Afraid of possibly saying the wrong thing and upsetting Kashuu even further, you slowly nodded your head. "Yes, he is..."

"Do you think he's more beautiful than me?" Kashuu asked, snapping his head upwards so that his glistening eyes bore into your widened ones.

That's when everything finally fell into place. "Oh, Kashuu..." you breathe out with one of the most sympathetic tones you've ever used.

The uchigatana bit hard at his lower lip, willing himself not to cry. Carefully, you reached out and touched his shoulder. When he didn't flinch away, you continued to move until you fully wrapped your arms around his trembling and vulnerable figure. You cooed softly in his ear, not even bothered when Kashuu hugged you back with such intensity, his hands desperately clutching onto your clothes.

"I'm sorry," Kashuu sobbed, burying his tear-stained face into the crook of your neck.

"You have nothing to apologize for," you reassured the male, the gentle smile on your face finding its way in your words. Your hands stroked Kashuu's hair in slow and even motions, bringing him a small sense of calm. "Mikazuki is beautiful, I won't deny that, but it doesn't mean I'll love you any less. You're special to me, Kashuu. You've been with me for a long time now, and I don't intend to leave you any time soon if at all."

Giving himself a moment for your words to sink in, Kashuu nodded and loosened the embrace, pulling back to look at you. You smiled back at him, and he rested his forehead against yours. The pair of you stayed like that for a few more moments longer before taking his hand and guiding him to spend the rest of the day together.
