Let's see... how about a gentle giant tav with the girls, in game we never really have anyone comment on the height difference. When I romanced lae'zel on my honor mode run it just occurred that lae'zel is tiny compared to the muscular body types so I'd love to read some lovely gentle giant tav doing things tall people do to there partners irl. e.g: carrying them, teasingly commenting on how short and cute they are (yes even karlach) just like wholesome/nsfw scenarios yk? This is quite a lengthy ask so my apologies in advance 😅🥺
So so so so so cute, didn't end up doing NSFW as I got too caught up in the fluff lmao, but Shadowheart's is a bit suggestive ;)
─── ・ 。゚☆: .☽ . :☆゚. ───
Karlach:
Your lover Karlach's tall, muscular frame often gave her an air of unapproachable strength. Yet, in your larger embrace, she became someone different—someone vulnerable, and even a bit playful. One evening, as the two of you were lounging by the campfire, she suddenly leaped onto your back, wrapping her legs around your waist and her arms around your shoulders.
"Carry me, mighty warrior!" she teased, her warm breath tickling your ear. You chuckled, standing up with ease despite her solid build.
"As you wish, my fiery tempest," you replied, adjusting her weight so she was more comfortable.
Karlach's laughter was infectious as you began walking around the campsite. "This is amazing," she whispered, pressing a soft kiss to your cheek. "I rarely get to be carried like this. You're so strong."
You could feel her happiness radiating off her like heat from her infernal engine, and it filled you with joy. "Well, you deserve it," you said, your voice tender. "You deserve to feel cared for."
As you continued to carry her, Karlach leaned closer, her lips brushing against your ear. "You know," she said, her voice soft, "I love being up here. I can whisper sweet things to you, kiss you whenever I want."
You turned your head slightly, meeting her eyes with a smile. "Then whisper and kiss away, my love."
She giggled, planting a series of soft kisses along your jawline. "I love you," she murmured, her voice filled with genuine affection.
Holding her close, you continued to walk, savoring the intimacy of the moment. For Karlach, who was so often the protector, being carried and cared for by you was a rare and cherished experience. And for you, having her so close, feeling her warmth and hearing her whispered words of love, was a privilege beyond compare.
─── ・ 。゚☆: .☽ . :☆゚. ───
Minthara:
Minthara enjoyed every moment of having you by her side. Your towering height and broad shoulders added an extra layer of intimidation to her already fearsome reputation. She would often position you just behind her during her numerous confrontations, taking immense pleasure in the way people cowered and recoiled at the sight of you.
"Stand right here," she would say, pointing to a spot that would maximize your imposing stature. You would comply, your silent strength a perfect complement to her authority - she thought. It amused you, and it delighted you seeing her so happy.
One evening, during a heated negotiation with a group of reluctant villagers, Minthara stood tall and fierce, her words sharp and unyielding. The villagers' eyes kept darting to you, their fear palpable. Minthara noticed this and smirked, relishing the power you both exuded.
"And if you think of crossing me," she warned, gesturing to you with a flick of her wrist, "my love here will ensure you regret it."
After the villagers had hastily agreed to her demands and scurried away, Minthara turned to you with a satisfied grin. "See how they tremble?" she purred, stepping closer to you. "It's delightful."
You nodded, your expression neutral. You had grown accustomed to her delight in intimidation, and while you supported her, there were times when her bossiness tested your patience.
One day, Minthara took her bossiness a step too far. She had been issuing orders for hours, her tone growing more and more demanding. Finally, in a fit of irritation, she snapped at you, her eyes flashing with annoyance.
"Do you not understand what I want?" she hissed. "Must I spell everything out for you?"
You took a deep breath, your patience wearing thin. Without a word, you bent down, scooping her up in your powerful arms. Minthara's eyes widened in surprise as you carried her effortlessly towards a large, sturdy tree.
"What are you doing?" she demanded, her voice a mix of curiosity and indignation as she clawed at you back.
You didn't answer. Instead, you found a low-hanging branch and, with a quick heave, deposited her onto it, high above the ground. Minthara clung to the branch, glaring down at you and practically hissing as you stepped back, crossing your arms.
"You need a time out," you said simply, your tone firm but not unkind.
Minthara looked down, her expression a mix of surprise and frustration. She was feline in her movements, agile and graceful, but even she couldn't easily descend from such a height without risking injury.
"You can't leave me up here," she called, a hint of a growl in her voice.
You smirked, leaning against the trunk of the tree. "I'll let you down when you've cooled off."
For a few moments, Minthara glowered at you, clearly debating whether to argue further. But as the minutes passed, her anger seemed to dissipate, replaced by a reluctant amusement.
"You are infuriating," she finally muttered, though there was no real venom in her voice.
"And you are bossy," you replied, a hint of a smile tugging at your lips.
Eventually, you reached up, your strong arms lifting her effortlessly back to the ground. She landed lightly, her expression softening as she looked up at you.
"Perhaps I was…a bit much," she conceded, her tone almost playful.
"Just a bit," you agreed, your smile widening. Minthara stepped closer, her hands resting on your broad chest. Practically batting her eyelashes at you.
"But you still adore me," she said, her voice low and confident. You wrapped your arms around her, pulling her close.
"Of course," you murmured, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead.
─── ・ 。゚☆: .☽ . :☆゚. ───
Lae'zel:
In the heat of battle, you and Lae'zel moved as one, a formidable duo whose coordination and trust in each other were unmatched. Lae'zel, despite her fierce independence, had come to enjoy a particular aspect of your strength and height. During one particularly intense skirmish, Lae'zel called out to you, her eyes blazing with exhilaration.
"Throw me!" she commanded, her voice filled with adrenaline.
You didn't hesitate. Grabbing her firmly by the waist, you lifted her effortlessly and hurled her towards the enemy ranks. She landed with perfect grace, her blades already slashing through the air. The enemies fell before her, unable to withstand her ferocity.
After the battle, as the adrenaline began to fade, you found Lae'zel leaning against a tree, her chest heaving with exertion and excitement. She looked up as you approached, a rare smile tugging at her lips.
"That was incredible," she said, her voice breathless. "The way you threw me… I've never felt so powerful."
You smiled, reaching out to brush a stray lock of hair from her face. "I'm glad you enjoyed it," you replied, your voice filled with affection. "I love seeing you like this—so alive."
Lae'zel's eyes softened, a look of genuine affection crossing her face. "You are strong, and you understand me," she said quietly. "In battle, you and I are unstoppable."
Later, as the two of you rested together in the quiet of the night, Lae'zel moved closer to you, her hand resting on your broad chest. "I want you to know," she began, her voice soft, "that I cherish these moments with you. Not just in battle, but here, now."
You wrapped an arm around her, pulling her close. "And I cherish you, Lae'zel," you said, your voice filled with sincerity. "In every moment, on and off the battlefield."
She looked up at you, her eyes shining with an emotion she rarely showed. "Then let us make the most of every moment,"
─── ・ 。゚☆: .☽ . :☆゚. ───
Shadowheart:
The battle had been fierce, with arrows and spells flying in all directions. As the dust began to settle, you scanned the battlefield, your eyes locking onto Shadowheart. She was surrounded by fallen enemies but looked unharmed. Still, your heart pounded with worry.
Without a second thought, you strode over, scooping her up effortlessly and slinging her over your shoulder. "We've got to get you to safety," you said, your voice tinged with urgency.
Shadowheart made a small sound of protest but didn't resist. You carried her to a quieter, more secure area, finally setting her down gently on her feet.
"Are you okay?" you asked, concern etched on your face as you examined her for any injuries.
Shadowheart's cheeks were flushed, her breathing a bit ragged. She looked up at you, eyes wide and pupils dilated. "I'm… fine," she stammered, her voice unsteady.
You frowned, touching her forehead lightly. "Are you sure? You look feverish."
Before you could react, Shadowheart surged forward, her lips crashing into yours with a fervent intensity. The kiss was heated, desperate and when she finally pulled back, you were breathless and stunned.
"Sorry, I just uh couldn't help myself." she confessed, her voice a low whisper. She looked you hungrily and as you were still reeling, you didn't have time to process her words before she pushed you down onto the soft grass. Her hands were all over you, pinning you to the ground as she kissed you again, her need palpable.
"Shadowheart," you murmured against her lips, your voice a mix of surprise and desire. You were used to being scolded at after pulling a stunt like that.
"Just let me," she whispered back, her tone filled with urgency. "I've never felt like this before."
You surrendered to her, your hands roaming over her smaller frame as she took control. The intensity of her need matched your own, and the two of you lost yourselves in each other, the aftermath of battle fading away as you found solace and passion in one another's embrace.
Lae'zel, who had a downed Astarion slung over her shoulder was not impressed when she found the two of you and you were on dishes for the next week.
─── ・ 。゚☆: .☽ . :☆゚. ───
Jaheira:
Jaheira, having lived long enough, had a habit of making herself comfortable wherever she was. Your broad, muscular frame had become her favorite spot to rest, not out of affection—though there was plenty of that—but out of sheer practicality.
One evening, as you sat by the campfire, Jaheira approached with a book in hand. Without a word, she settled herself on your lap, her back against your chest as she began to read. It was such a common occurrence that neither of you thought twice about it. You wrapped your arms around her, resting your chin on her shoulder.
"Comfortable?" you asked, a hint of a smile in your voice.
"Very," she replied, not looking up from her book.
A few minutes later, you reached for a nearby piece of equipment, but Jaheira shifted, making it clear she wasn't moving.
"Do you mind?" she said, her tone mock-offended. "I'm sitting here."
You chuckled, moving the equipment aside and wrapping your arms around her again. "Sorry, my love. Didn't mean to disturb you."
Jaheira glanced back at you, a small smile playing on her lips. "See that you don't," she teased, her eyes twinkling with amusement.
The two of you sat in companionable silence, the warmth of the fire and the comfort of each other's presence creating a perfect moment of peace.
Later, when scratch found himself in your lap, Jaheira huffed in mock indignation, standing up with exaggerated reluctance. "Honestly, you'd think people would know better than to take my spot,"
You couldn't help but laugh, pulling her back into your lap as soon as Scratch had become interested in a passing squirrel.
"It's all yours," you said, kissing her temple. And so, Jaheira settled back in, her book in hand, a contented smile on her face as she enjoyed the comfort and warmth of your embrace.

could've shouted out loud
ao3 link
at the end of the game i went with karlach and wyll to avernus without realizing that would like cement things and then watched how nervous astarion was about if you're really staying together when my gf finished the game with him. so i split the difference and wrote fix-it fic for my personal fuck-up lmao
just over 2k; spoilers for the end of bg3 of course. rated mature-ish, fully gender neutral tav. it takes a while to come back from avernus and when you find him he is Pissed with you (and very hurt). comforting and some spiciness ensues
It takes longer than you expect to find Astarion again.
You, Karlach, and Wyll have been working on carving out your little corner of Avernus; it's rough work, but Karlach pulls most of the literal weight of setting up shelter for the three of you. It's not much, little more than reinforced tents, but it's better than nothing.
You finally feel like it's safe to go back and look for Astarion, and Wyll opens a portal for you that brings you right to the heart of Baldur's Gate.
It takes three days and nights of asking around before you find him. A helpful bartender at the Blushing Mermaid informs you that someone matching your description of him comes in and sits at a certain table, alone, most nights, and you go there yourself to wait for him.
And sure enough.
Sure enough, come sunset, and given an hour, he walks through the door. He doesn't notice you right away, ordering himself a bottle of wine and taking a glass from the bartender, but when your eyes finally meet, he nearly drops them both.
You smile pathetically at him.
He does not smile back.
He makes his way to the secluded table and you stand to meet him when he does. He sets the bottle and glass on the table and folds his arms, looking you up and down.
"Is this a trick?" he asks, first, looking at you with scrutiny.
Despite his closed-off posture and his attempt at a foul expression for you, he's still just as beautiful as he had been when the sun began to burn him.
You shake your head.
"No, no trick," you promise, and he tenses hearing your voice. Disguises and illusions can mimic many things, but a voice is tough, too unique to recreate for most mages and wizards.
"I'm going insane, then?" he asks sarcastically, and gestures at you to a man passing by. "Excuse me? Do you see the person in front of me?"
The man looks between you and Astarion and you can only give a little wave.
"Yes?" the man answers, and fucks off.
Astarion's frown deepens.
"So, what?" he asks, voice dripping with venom. "It's you, then?"
You swallow nervously and hope that the time apart hasn't put you back to square one.
"It's me," you confirm. "I'm sorry it took so long to find you," you apologize, but he scoffs.
"Must not have been looking very hard," he huffs. "I thought you'd —" he says, voice cracking in vulnerability, and he steels himself all over again. "I thought you'd decided I wasn't worth the trouble once you saw me in the sun," he tries again, and this time, his volume is louder. "I thought you ran off so I couldn't find you and be your burden."
You reach out, but he smacks your hand away.
"Astarion," you breathe, heartbroken. Is this it? Does he... Has he gotten used to the idea of living without you?
Is this over, now?
"Where have you been, then?" he spits, looking away from you in a huff. "You'd better have a damn good answer, or I'll kill you right here myself."
"I'd let you," you breathe, smiling just a bit — threats of harm are better than a cold shoulder. "I've been in Avernus," you say. "With Karlach. And Wyll."
His shoulders relax just slightly hearing Karlach's name.
"She's still alive?" he asks, making glancing eye contact with you to show his sincerity.
You nod.
"She can't leave the hells anymore, not yet, but she's alive," you confirm. "We've been working on a solution, and working on making a home there, for now."
He doesn't say anything, waiting. You swallow nervously.
"We were chased by devils for a tenday when we arrived, otherwise I would have been back for you sooner," you say, and pray to any gods that might listen that he understands. "And then we had to get settled, make sure no one was on our trail," you continue.
Astarion scoffs, but his eyes glimmer with unshed tears.
"You could have written," he mutters, needing to make light of the situation for his own sanity.
"I owe you a postcard," you agree, the barest smile slowly returning to your face.
He sniffles, and curses under his breath.
"I thought...?" he starts, but can't finish, hiccuping back a sob.
"I know," you try to soothe. "I'm so sorry."
This time, when you reach out, he doesn't stop you. You put your hand on his shoulder and squeeze lightly, stroking your thumb over the soft fabric he's wearing.
"I love you," you practically whisper. "I've thought of you every moment of every day since we were parted."
He doesn't answer with words — instead, he shoves himself against you, and it takes half a moment to realize he's trying for a hug, reluctant to wrap his arms around you but making the gesture anyway.
You fling your arms around him and squeeze him in tightly. He's cold, so much colder than he ever was when he was feeding from you regularly, and you realize he might not have been drinking from anything but animals again.
"I've missed you so much," you mumble against him, your head ducked against the side of his. "Astarion, I can't believe we're both here," you laugh, relieved, and he laughs too.
"I thought you might have been dead," he admits, and his voice is so, so small. "I thought I'd never see you again."
You hug him tighter.
"I'm here now," you promise.
His arms wrap around you properly now, too, and he almost starts to relax against you.
He's holding back because you're in public, but he shakes with emotion.
"Where have you been staying?" you ask, pulling back just enough to speak with him properly. "Let's get out of here and talk there."
"The Elfsong Tavern," he sniffs. He straightens himself up and quickly wipes the tears off his face, and suddenly the mask is back in place. "Let's, shall we?"
You hold his bottle of wine in one hand and his hand in the other as you walk back to the Elfsong. Neither of you speaks beyond his comment that it's a nice night out and your hum of agreement.
Once you arrive, you head upstairs. His hands shake as he pulls out his room key, and you've never seen him struggle with a lock more than now.
It finally gives way and opens, and then you're finally, finally alone together.
You set the bottle of wine on a side table, briefly turning away, and when you turn back to say So, where do we begin? he's already kissing you.
You've missed this. You've missed him, his insistent, smart, sharp mouth and his hands that pull at your waist to bring you in close and his fingers that dig into your sides like you could disappear if he ever loosened his grip.
He's crying again, tears catching on your lips and turning your kisses salty, but you don't care at all.
"Astarion," you gasp between breaths, just to hear his name on your tongue, and he drags you to his bed.
"I thought I was going to die without you," he growls, pushing you onto the mattress and crawling over you like a predator. "I was so scared, for you and for what I might do if you didn't — if I never saw you again," he admits, voice low and dangerous.
"I'm here," you reassure him, holding onto his arms and sliding your grip to ground him.
"I thought you were gone," he says, angry and scared and afraid and a thousand other things.
"Have you... Are we still...?" you start to ask, and he kisses you again.
"I've been mourning a lost love," he breathes against your lips. "Every face I've seen, I've only looked to see if it could be you, and then I've looked away," he admits. "When I saw a stranger with your stature or your hair, I'd hope, just for a moment, and then it'd be lost."
Your heart flares with love — even thinking you might have left him, abandoned him, died on him, he didn't give up hope that you might return.
"I'm so sorry," you apologize again, kissing him over and over. "I'm here now, I promise. I'd never leave you."
Rather than the coy, self-deprecating never say 'never', darling you might have heard when all this began, he hums with such pleasure it's nearly a moan, just hearing your dedication to him spoken aloud.
"I love you," you remind him, fingers tangling into his hair to keep him close. "I love you, I love you," you breathe, and with every word his breath hitches higher until he's kissing you hard, forcing you silent lest something in him break.
"I want you," he rumbles against you, and your heart soars while your insides dance with butterflies.
"You have me," you say, and you mean it. It doesn't matter if you do nothing but kiss and hold each other tightly until the sun comes up and then goes back down, you're his as much as he's yours and you're eager to remind him of that however you can.
"You're wearing too many clothes," he practically snarls, digging hands under your shirt and pulling roughly at things to loosen your breeches, and you wholeheartedly agree.
"So are you," you growl back.
You manage to get his shirt off over his head at the same time he's struggling with yours, and you sit up so he can do the same with yours.
Wriggling out of your bottoms is a little more difficult when neither of you can stand to be apart, but you both get the waistbands to your knees and that's good enough for you.
His cock is half-hard from excitement and anticipation and you're quick to reach for it, but he stops you by pinning your wrist beside your head.
"I've missed this," he purrs, squeezing your wrist in his hand. He grabs for your other wrist and you let him, allowing him to pin you fully and press his body up against yours. "I've missed feeling you struggle against me," he laughs.
You arch up against him just for fun, pressing your leg up between his and rubbing his cock against your hip.
"Is that what you want tonight?" you ask, challenging him by straining against his hands. He's weak — he hasn't fed recently, or fed enough, and you can feel him put his full weight into keeping you down.
"Oh, darling, I want everything," he hums. He kisses you again and ruts his cock against your hip on purpose this time, moaning softly into your mouth. "I want you ruined under me," he breathes. "I want you debauched on top of me. I don't want to leave this room until tomorrow night at the earliest."
You laugh against him.
"Agreed," you hum back.
He lets go of your hands in favor of holding you by your hips, and your arms wrap around his shoulders like it's where they've always belonged.
"I missed you," he sighs. "So much."
"I'm here now," you reassure him again. He nuzzles into your throat and you bare it for him, inviting him, and he shudders.
"I don't suppose I'd be allowed a bite?" he asks, trailing kisses over your pulse.
"I've missed that, too," you sigh. "Go on."
He gives your neck one more tender, open-mouthed kiss before he sinks his teeth into you, a familiar pain that you've dearly missed.
He drinks deeply. You can feel his starvation sating, his body becoming warmer and softer against yours as he melts against you.
Gods, you've missed him. You never want to be separated again.
You feel the past slipping away from you, as though you've never been apart; all that has ever existed is this, this moment, with his mouth pressed to your neck, bite-wound weeping blood onto his tongue and him swallowing as greedily as you cling to him.
He finally pulls away, the perfect amount taken that you feel light-headed but not dizzy, and he feels sated but not full — a balance the two of you perfected over your journey, and one that he's apparently still in tune with.
"Perfect," he breathes into your neck, lapping at the fang marks still slowly oozing blood. "Oh, love," he sighs.
He buries his face in your neck and breathes deep.
"You smell like Avernus," he notes, amused.
"Ugh," you agree.
"You smell like you, though," he says, muffled against your skin. "Gods, I missed that."
You take a long moment to hold each other like that, arms wrapped around each other and clinging and just breathing deeply, taking each other in.
Eventually, his cock twitches impatiently against your skin, and you laugh.
"Sorry," he mutters, pulling his face out of your neck to kiss the corner of your mouth. "I really would just like to be close, if you're not up for anything like that," he says, almost shyly.
You press your hips up against him in answer, and catch the gasp off his lips with your mouth against his.
"I'm up for things," you grin, and he laughs against you.
"Alright," he agrees. "'Things', it is."
You give him one more long, lingering kiss before the two of you go any further, one that you'll remember years from now.
"I'm so happy you're here," he admits, and you smile against his mouth.
You are, too.

Not me thinking I'd only played 20 hours so far lmao. (yes my character's name is Lyra after the constellation, which ties in nicely with Astarion who I'm trying to romance. She's a half-elven lvl 4 sorcerer and a folk hero lol. Not sure if Star is gonna buy that, her approval in currently neutral 💀 also pronouns she/her & pansexual - already shared a kiss with Shadowheart & I wanna romance Karlach too but I've heard she disproves of a poly relationship with her...can you romance Alfira?)

what steps did you take to recruit minthara btw? (from the context it seems you are doing a Good Playthrough, so i got curious). i've read a lot of conflicting information and i want to recruit her in my next game
So on my romance for her I did her recruitment before they dropped patch 5, so I did the “not resolving the situation in the grove” route to get her. This was the good or neutral playthrough way to get her before patch 5. I did the shadow Druid stuff to get the druids to stop the ritual so the tieflings don’t get kicked out of the grove, and then I just moved on without doing any further grove stuff. You do lose the tieflings for the rest of the game, and I’m not even entirely sure what’s supposed to have happened to them, bc you don’t find their bodies along the way or anything but then you do find zevlor in the mind flayer colony? So it’s not written super well lol but wyll and karlach will stay in your party this way and you can still get minthara at moonrise. You also lose halsin (no big loss for me lol) and thus can’t fix the shadow curse in act 2 (which is too bad, I hate that it requires halsin)
The way my gf and I did it on our astarion and shadowheart multiplayer campaign is the way that became available with patch 5, where you can knock minthara out in the goblin camp and then take out the other leaders to complete the grove protection stuff. You have to make sure to knock out minthara when she has the “temporarily hostile” tag, so triggering a fight by stealing in front of her or attacking a goblin or something. Once you knock her out she should have the “temporarily unconscious” tag if you did it right. Knock her out BEFORE taking out dror ragzlin, bc killing him triggers the whole camp to go permanently hostile and minthara won’t show up at moonrise if she’s knocked out while permanently hostile. You also can’t knock her out at the grove assault, it has to be in the goblin camp
Also if you take her armor off her body while she’s knocked out she’ll be naked at moonrise lmao so. Don’t take her armor from her if you don’t want that (or do if you do lol)

22. What is your Tav's first impression of the other companions (Astarion, Gale, Karlach, Wyll ...)
LMAO I started thinking of the answer for Gale and it just made me think of one of those... "How It Started / How It's Going" memes, I've answered that one via a stupid doodle
Tumblr media
...anyways. everybody else.
Lae'zel: Vennet liked her right away actually! she's good in combat, doesn't take any shit, there's... a lot of similarities between the warlike culture/ attitude towards other species / etc between githyanki & drow. they're also the two who are totally out of place in this environment. I think after ten minutes with Lae'zel Ven was like "right, I get it, I knew a dozen girlies exactly like this back in Menzo"
Shadowheart: probably along the lines of just "wtf is your deal?" because SH is sooo cagey and mysterious at first, and then Vennet also has personal reasons to dislike Shar... it took a long time for her to not be wary of SH but they ended up good friends
Astarion: some combo of "Yikes, Surface Elf, Be Extra Wary" + immediately finding him attractive + respecting how mean he is
Wyll: I regret to inform the people that Vennet also thought Wyll was cringe and that... never really went away LOL, I think she just does not have any patience for his good guy Blade of Frontiers shtick and also that they would have argued A Lot and kinda fought for the role of party leader.
Karlach: Vennet definitely has a soft spot for Karlach and found her really charming and likable despite herself! Karlach is the last person you recruit of the main tadpole squad so by that point it wasn't really a question of "are we bringing this person along" and it was just nice to find a new ally.
29. What does your Tav do about the Goblin camp? Do they free Halsin or side with Minthara? What's their opinion of them?
This is one of those points in my story where the personality I had in mind for my character clashes a little bit with the decisions I made as a first-time player who wanted to stick with what was obviously the "default" good-guy route of the game for my first run... In order to resolve it I lean on the idea that Vennet wasn't really the ~*~Leader~*~ of the group and that it was more democratic like a real dnd party would be, esp that there was a lot of input on the Moral Decisions from Wyll and his main character energy (I love you Wyll xoxo). Vennet starts off as pretty solidly Neutral Evil and it would not be OOC for her to have ignored the goblins attacking the grove or to have even sided with Minthara maybe.
Vennet's opinion on Minthara is... hmm, pending, until I get to know Minthara better lol, I've still only barely just recruited her on my second playthrough and I don't know that much about her yet. I think they would have actually met before the game in some capacity, or at least that Vennet would have known of her, because they're close in age and Minthara is from a very prominent family. Whatever their confrontation was like in the goblin camp, it ended with Minthara dead, so :/
I think there's probably an alternate timeline where I knew about hwo you could knock out Minthara (I knew she was recruitable, but thought it was only on an evil playthrough if you sided with her) and instead of getting no romance ending, Vennet and Minthara were the Underdark's bad girl power couple going on a crusade against Menzoberranzan (sorry to Gale lmao)
As for Halsin, Vennet never really got to know him on a personal level well enough that her opinion moved to anywhere beyond "I am glad that we have this reliable and strong ally to our cause." I just feel like their vibes are not compatible lol I can't imagine them getting along that well.
86. Did your Tav complete the trial of Bhaal?
Asdglhkr yeah you know Ven killed that annoying fucking hollyphant to be named an Unholy Assassin and did not lose a moment of sleep over it. (Actually, Astarion is the one who got the killing blow and the cool cutscene where you're covered in blood, but yeah.) Her good friend Lae'zel was kidnapped by Orin! We had to get her back ASAP, who cares about crossing a little moral line here and there for the sake of our goals!

J, L, P, X, Y? 👀
Thanks for asking for these ones!
J. Name a fandom you didn’t think about until you saw it all over Tumblr. (You don’t have to care about it or follow it; it just has to be something that Tumblr made you aware of.)
Signalis. Which is weird because I loooooove that game. Gay robots, psychosexual trauma, and survival horror? Sign me up. I still don't really read for it, which is just because I rarely do for video games.
L. Say something genuinely nice about a character who isn’t one of your faves. (Characters you’re neutral about are fair game, as are characters you merely dislike. Characters that you absolutely loathe with the fire of ten thousand suns are exempt, as there is no point in giving yourself an aneurysm over a character that you hate.)
Gortash is actually a very satisfying boss fight because the whole point is that he's a fuckin' dork, not a Ketheric Thorm or Orin. When you fight him one-on-one, he's a complete pushover and he should be. His abilities lie elsewhere.
P. Invent a random AU for any fandom (we always need more ideas).
Parks and Recreation x Baldur's Gate 3 AU/Crossover. It would let me combine my fandoms and do utterly unhinged shit with both sides of the coin.
X. A trope which you are almost certain to love in any fandom.
I'm not sure if it has a solid trope name, but "sad girl with large comfort person" is genuinely so for me it's unbelievable. There's a reason Shadowheart/Karlach is my favorite canon/canon pair.
Y. What are your secondhand fandoms (i.e., fandoms you aren’t in personally but are tangentially familiar with because your friends/people on your dash are in them)?
Some of my friends are in the LOTR and Dragon Age fandoms, but I never did anything more than enjoy those series and games. I've also learned more about Destiny lore from following you than I ever did playing those games lmao.

8, 12, 17, 28, 33, 35, and 39 for your durge and hector!!
ik its alot so dont feel like tou have to answer allll of them lmao. Im very curious about rhaka 👉👈 (hope i spelled that right)
(Tav/Durge as Companion Ask Meme)
Surprising no one, I'm doing the WHOLE DAMN THING. :D I hope you enjoy. <3
Hector first!
Tumblr media
8. Companion/romance death reactions
Lae'zel: "Get up, Lae'zel! This is not our last fight!" Shadowheart: "I'll protect you in Selune's name, will you or no!" Karlach: "No! You don't fall here, not after everything!" Wyll: "We've more yet to save, Wyll! Get up!" Gale: "Gale, no! Hold on, I'm coming!" Astarion: "Damn it-- no! Astarion!" Jaheira: "Jaheira's down! We've got to help her!" Halsin: "Hold tight - I'll help you, Halsin!" Minsc: "I'm coming, my friend! For you and Boo both!" Romanced PC: "My love! No, please. PLEASE!"
12. Encountering a locked chest/door
"Locked. Though that never seems to bother us much."
"Selune forgive me, I suppose. If she cares about this particular lock."
"This didn't used to be a part of my day-to-day."
17. Looking in a mirror
"Gods, the road's a dusty place, eh?"
"I've never looked so tired."
"The glass didn't crack, so we have that."
28. Party banter with Karlach
(Needless to say, in a scenario where Hector is a companion, he and Karlach are implied to get together in a scenario where neither are romanced. :P Because I said so.)
(Act 1) Hector: "I must admit, I don't know how you dart around with that axe in battle so easily." Karlach: "Well, when the weapon's bigger than you are, it's challenging. Like an imp with a longsword - cute but unwieldy." Hector: [mock-affronted] "Well, luckily I do so well with just my fists instead." Karlach: "And look good doing it, too!"
(Act 2, after Karlach's second repair, if neither romanced) Hector: "Gods, it's bleak out here. I've never gone so long without seeing moonlight of an evening. It's unsettling." Karlach: "Well, I can't do anything about the moonlight, but I bet I could make you see stars." Hector: "What?" Karlach: "What?"
(Act 3, after Hector's personal quest (deciding to stay with the party rather than return to the monastery)) Karlach: "So... decided to keep slumming it here with us, eh, Hec?" Hector: [gravely] "It wasn't an easy decision - but I've changed too much. I couldn't go back." Karlach: "Well, I'm glad you stuck around. Too many things still need punching, and you put on the best show in town!"
33. Party banter with Minthara
Passing on this one for now as I have not really had her as a companion yet. I also have an open request from @zenjestrr to do Hector banter with Minthara once I know her better, so I'll answer this then. XD
35. How would your Tav/Durge greet a player character if they were a companion at low, neutral, high, or romanced approval?
Answered here for another similar meme; copied here for completeness. :D
“Are we there yet?” (very deadpan) (negative approval)
“Make it quick.” (negative approval)
“What new madness to deal with?” (low approval)
“You look like you want something.” (low approval)
“Name what you need and you’ll have it.” (medium approval)
“Sorry, let me mark my place– there. Something I can do for you?” (medium approval)
“My sibling in moonlight. What can I do for you?” (high approval - Selunite)
“Always glad to see you. What can I do for you?” (high approval - others)
“I swear you can tell when I’m feeling lonely. Hello, darling.” (romanced)
“My love. Tell me everything.” (romanced)
39. If romanceable, what lines would they say if a player character prompted them with, "Can I kiss you?"
"I will never say no, my love."
"Gods, please - I could use it."
[slightly giddily] "Ahhh... lucky me."
----
And Rakha!
Tumblr media
8. Companion/romance death reactions
Lae'zel: "Stand - the fight's not won." Shadowheart: "Get up. Your goddess watches you." Karlach: "I will not let you die." Wyll: "No. No! Get up!" Gale: "Agh-- the Weave cracks-- someone get him up!" Astarion: "Not your blood, not now. Theirs!" Jaheira: "If I must fight on, then so must you." Halsin: "No earthen grave for you yet, druid." Minsc: "Will you die with skulls yet uncracked?" Romanced PC: "If you die, I will bleed the world dry!"
12. Encountering a locked chest/door
Answered here.
17. Looking in a mirror
"I knew that face, once."
"Where did the scar come from?"
"Sometimes it looks out of my eyes..."
28. Party banter with Karlach
(Act 1) Rakha: "You fight with rage. Blind violence." Karlach: "Yeah, well, I've got plenty to be angry about. And, well, sometimes it just feels good to really let loose, you know?" Rakha: "Yes. When I think of spilling blood, it is when I feel most alive." Karlach: "You know, somehow it's way creepier when you say it."
(Act 2 - after whatever happens to cause THE reveal) Karlach: "You know, I was jealous of you for a while. Would've been nice to be able to forget everything that happened to me in Avernus." Rakha: "And now?" Karlach: "Now... I don't know. I hope you're doing okay. You've had a lot dropped on you." Rakha: "I have. And I am not doing okay. But... thank you for asking."
(Act 3 - after Gortash's death) Rakha: "It was good to see Gortash die." Karlach: "Really fed the ol' beast, did it? Tried to really splatter him up, just for you." Rakha: "That isn't what I mean. [pause] He was cruel. You did not deserve it. So I am glad he is dead." Karlach: [slightly startled] "Oh. I mean-- yeah. Thanks. Me too. [pause] Obviously."
33. Party banter with Minthara
Once again, passing this until I know Minthara better. XD
35. How would your Tav/Durge greet a player character if they were a companion at low, neutral, high, or romanced approval?
Also answered here and recopied. :D
“…” (negative approval)
“What?” (negative approval)
“Say what you must.” (low approval)
“Go on, then.” (low approval)
“Who needs killing?” (medium approval)
“I have more questions. But you may speak first.” (medium approval)
“My blade is ready. Speak your need.” (high approval)
“Something troubles you?” (high approval)
“I wish I could show you what I see. How the Weave dances around you.” (romanced)
“It calms when you are close… I thank you…” (romanced)
“Please… come back later. The blood is… distracting.” (random, when spoken to while bloodstained from battle; conversation cuts off immediately)
39. If romanceable, what lines would they say if a player character prompted them with, "Can I kiss you?"
"Yes."
"I would like that."
(random) "I don't... want to be touched right now. Later. Please..."

Hello! For the ask game,
2 for Thurak
8 for Davh
14 for Mayhem
and
21 for Sergil!
✨Goodbye! ✨
For Thurak: What is your character's alignment?
Thurak is neutral good, when I was setting up the bases for some of my characters I was going to play he originally was going to be the Chaotic Good one, but after playing him he became more Neutral Good, the one who was supposed to be Neutral Good (Mayhem) taking the place of the Chaotic Good one.
For Davhomin: Who are they suspicious of?
Tbh I would even say that everyone because of generalized anxiety, tbh even himself due to his lack of memories as to how he ended up in the Nautiloid.
It's easier to say who he isn't suspicious off, which mostly consists of Wyll and maybe Halsin & Karlach.
He is generally in high alert, at least at the start of the game, does he like, treat anyone badly because of it? No gods forbid, he may be suspicious but he's not going to be an asshole about it.
For Mayhem: What hobbies does your Tav have?
This is canon just because of one dialogue option in game that I don't remember how it went but they like knitting, I do picture them doing one of those blankets(?) with a row of different colours representing the current temperature.
You can see when Elturel got sent to Avernus just from the long strip of deep red through the blanket.
For Sergil: What is your Tav's favourite spell?
Thinking about what I use most with Sergil + what I think he would like there are 2 candidates (I'm not counting Hunter's Mark here unfortunately because that would be an easy choice for a ranger lmao).
1) Invisibility: Gloom Stalker likes being sneaky y'know? Having quick access to invisibility can be a god sent for infiltration purposes and generally for he to be a lil shit with it. As I mentioned it before to you I do picture him pulling a Death from Puss in Boots 2 if he feels like it, he already knows how to whistle very well so the general sneakiness helps.
2) Faerie Fire: Making more than one enemy easier to hit can be a god sent... If they don't break your concentration first of course, it helped me through some fights, like the goblin camp or the one time I fought the spider matriarch that I think I posted about before. If concentration isn't broken It can help a lot through fights with multiple enemies.
So I picture he liking those two for those very different reasons.
Anyways thank you for the ask, Bard!

bg3 tav/durge intro part 5
meet Imrae (she/her)
tav
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Race: seldarine drow
Class: way of the elements monk
Personality: chaotic, energetic, optimistic, lawful for the most part, gets along with everyone, bubbly, can be a worrywart, can be headstrong, protective of those she loves and cares about, likes making others happy, can come off as intense sometimes, bit of a people pleaser
Romance: Karlach
Complete/Incomplete: complete
Good/Evil Run: good
my comments and links to other intros below 👇
Notes: this was my first play through that i decided to start messing around with hair mods!
also the second pic i got by complete accident. i became a screenshotting fiend and wound up getting a lot of different and cool screenshots like that one, as well as funny ones.
being a monk, i tend to throw her into encounters head on since that does the most damage for her. so that being said, she gets downed a lot. i'm not looking forward to the raphael fight in this run lmao.
she is so chronically good that i don't know how i got minthara's confession dialogue in act 3. i wonder if being a drow makes getting approval easier? i'm not sure. i got it in nion's play through as well but it took a few long rests in the lower city to get it. i think i got it in my first or second long rest in the lower city in imrae's. i got it right before i got karlach's act 3 date night because i talked to minthara first.
i know drow society is rough and the closest thing you might get to a good aligned drow is a neutral aligned one, but i really enjoy playing more good aligned ones. but i am tempted to try and play a more morally gray one.
also, i never got to actually write out the full personality on my separate notes yet for her and my next one (which will also be the last one i share for now) so this is just based on pure vibes and how i've been playing her (and the next one's) character(s). maybe once i actually get myself to write them out, i'll update them if there's any changes. the backstory i have in my brain for her (and the next one) is vague in my brain and is also based on vibes, so bear with me.
part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4, part 6

With all the news of my bg3 campaigns with family and friends, I forgot to announce I finally finished the game my self lmao
Spoilers under the cut
So Sahar, my storm sorcerer ended up sacrificing Orpheus to defeat the Absolute (as in Orpheus became a mindflayer and then Sahar killed him as he was asked to do), respected Karlach's desire to die and was there for her (I cried), romanced both Shadowheart and Halsin and i truly believe in my mind they would visit Halsin, Thaniel and the kids (I finally found where the "they call me Daddy Halsin" comes from!) at every change they get, and adopted the owlbeard cause ofc.
I also was so scared of my allies dying in the last fights I didn't summon most of them LMAO
Only summoned the dragon :v Yurgir and Dame Aylin :D
Very proud of our bestie Astarion for his character development, didn't ascend him cause when I tried I didn't like that he didn't treat me as a friend anymore more like an asset or a pawn (I was fine with the being evil part but why can't we be evil and besties together!?)
Gale is a god lmao cause Sahar definitely do not like deities, in general, he does not believe Gale should have sought forgiveness from Mystra cause screw her but as long as Gale still remembered Sahar and all we did together (unlike Astarion) they approved of Gale becoming a God and he did do that, so grats
I feel betrayed because Mayrina said she was gonna name her kid after me and ended up naming them after her husband 🥲 gurl u were my second fav npc
My fav npc is definitely Arabela, Sahar was like their godparent in magic and felt proud of her (also I love how she calls Sahar "hero person" 😭 adorable)
It really is noticeable how much the pronouns of your character change how they address you specially if you watch cis people play the game and notice the differences when they call them gendered terms, but if you play the game with they/them pronouns it's unnoticed in the best way possible and that's me playing in english, just recently found out that neo pronouns/ neutral pronouns are implemented in the Spanish version as well, I bet that is gonna be more noticeable and if the translation were more neutral spanish or even latam spanish I'd play that version on my own time
I STILL NEED CROSSPLAY AVAILABLE LARIAN!? WHEN AM I GONNA BE ABLE TO PLAY WITH MY FRIENDS WHO ARE ALL ON PC AND I'M THE ONLY ONE ON PS5
The game as solo player is great, but playing with someone else always makes it a better experience imo, and the only way I've been able to do that is transporting my ps5 to my brother's house every Saturday to play with him and his bf 😭 Larian please, I need crossplay
Also bg3 is serving as a snack for my dnd hunger in the meantime cause we haven't been able to play in so long 😭 I have even been creating more dnd ocs, it's crazy

the absolute worst most annoying people (thankfully they all get hella downvoted every time) on bg3 social media pages are the ppl that see a post about astarion (can be in any tone; good, bad, neutral, etc) and are like "killed that mfer immediately hahaha" (or something along the lines of that). i've gotten used to ignoring it but for some reason, it still gets to me bcuz like...i killed karlach my first time playing bcuz i prematurely killed kagha and caused a grove massacre and didn't just want to leave her/wanted to please wyll in some way (lol) and i generally do not care for karlach, but im not posting that abt her on like every post. i have several friends who killed lae'zel their first playthru and they don't post that on every post about lae'zel lmao
tbh i think it's more of a "this character is VERY popular online, amongst women and gay men especially (some of which who have not played the game) so i have to dunk on them every chance i get cuz im highkey/lowkey homophobic/misogynistic"
and i play dnd w one of them lmao (ew)

nykalaeni/astarion 7
while writing the scene where nykki vented to karlach, i initially had her venting to wyll, as someone who is pretty smart about people, but then i thought. hmmm wyll is not actually a very neutral party. being as. he is the reason nykalaeni and astarion made it official.
and like wyll's a good guy and i don't think he would take advantage of their relationship trouble, but...idk, maybe he has a little more incentive to be like "it seems like you guys are having a lot of trouble making it work, maybe that's a sign"
whereas karlach actually has quite a lot in common with astarion, background-wise, even if they have responded to it very differently. so i thought karlach was a good choice for a sympathetic ear. she'd also understand the difficulty of wanting to have sex and knowing it would hurt her partner, although that's. obviously more literal in her case lmao.
and then i was like, what would be the funniest person to meddle in this situation? lae'zel. lae'zel, who fell for nykalaeni harder and faster than astarion, or even wyll. lae'zel, who was the first dangerous person to come onto nykalaeni and make her even think about kink stuff. lae'zel, who has been VERY CONSPICUOUSLY SILENT about the relationship stuff; other companions have commented from time to time but lae'zel says NOTHING it's like she never even confessed. nothing. no feelings here, no sir.
except.
well, now it seems like astarion is fucking up. and you know what lae'zel has learned over the course of this game that friends do for each other? fucking meddle in personal business.
(notable in that everyone else would feel very much like they shouldn't get involved, or have no right to get involved, so no one else is going to come to astarion and be like GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS but honestly that's probably lae'zel's strong suit as a friend. explain yourself and prove you're not fucking up or simply stop fucking up. so she's really the only person i could see pushing her way into this business!)
-
Lae'zel shoved aside the screen dividing Astarion's corner of the room from the rest of it. "No, please," he said, "come right in. It's not as if I'm doing anything, after all."
Predictably, Lae'zel ignored that. She stared at Astarion, looking as pissed off as she ever did. After a moment, she asked, "What did you do?"
"You need to be slightly more specific than that," Astarion said.
Lae'zel made one of her rude noises. "When you and Nykalaeni returned from the brothel, you immediately separated. She has been on the rooftop ever since. Obviously, something went wrong, and you must know that or you would have sought her out by now."
Astarion frowned. "You know," he said, "I've always thought one of your most likable qualities is how you've kept your nose out of my business before now."
"She chose you over me," Lae'zel said, "and you are causing her pain." She crossed her arms over her chest, and leaned back. "I suspect you are also causing yourself pain, which makes you doubly foolish."
That was uncomfortably astute, and it got his back up. He snapped his book shut. "I did not ask for your advice, and I do not need it."
"Wrong," Lae'zel said. "You did not ask for advice, but you clearly need it desperately. How did you fumble a free evening at a brothel?"
"I beg your pardon, I have never fumbled anything relating to sex," he said.
"I see," Lae'zel said. "Then the problem was in your other behavior."
"There is no problem," Astarion said. "It was a lovely but rather intense experience, and it's not surprising Nykalaeni would need some time alone to recover."
"Chk," Lae'zel said, jerking her chin up. "You think me blind because I have been silent. The place Nykalaeni most often seeks comfort is in your presence. That she is not here now, reading over your shoulder or from another tome, is evidence enough of a problem."
"Well I don't know what else she wants," Astarion snapped. "I did my best! It's not my fault if that's suddenly not good enough!"
"I see," Lae'zel said again. "And was 'your best' what you wanted to do?"
"What does that have to do with anything?" Astarion asked.
Lae'zel sighed, as if Astarion was a misbehaving child. He entertained a brief thought of lunging at her, but he'd seen her fight enough to know that would not be nearly as cathartic in reality as it was in his head. "Idiot vampire," she said, "what do we have in common?"
"Nothing," Astarion said. He thought better of it, then added, "A tadpole."
"Correct," Lae'zel said. "But what did she think we had in common, when she started having sex with you as well?"
He supposed 'being sexy' was not the answer Lae'zel had in mind.
Apparently she didn't expect him to have an answer at all, because after only a few moments, she said, "Being straight-forward in our desires. There is little Nykalaeni appreciates more than honesty, and little she likes less than being manipulated. So I ask you again: was whatever you consider 'your best' what you truly wanted? Or were you doing what you thought she wanted you to do?"
Astarion sat with that for a moment. He had even told her he would leave if he was uncomfortable, hadn't he? But instead of doing that, he fell back on old habits. Unfortunately, Nykalaeni knew him well enough now that that was probably apparent to her. And if she noticed it, she would be upset by it. That was almost certainly the case. "Shit," he said.
"That is what I thought," Lae'zel said. Then she leaned over and slapped him across the face.
Astarion jerked back. "Ow, what the hell?"
"Stop hurting her," Lae'zel hissed. "Go apologize and tell her you will try to do better, or I will make you regret that she chose you over me."
"I already said you were right," Astarion muttered, setting aside his book to stand up. "You didn't need to hit me."
"No," Lae'zel agreed easily. "That was for me. Go."
