Car Ride | Regina George x Reader
REQUESTED
You're a part of the plastics, and get invited by Regina to go shopping along with the girls. During the trip, another girl begins to flirt with you and Regina, being her, gets jealous.
-
warning: smut
Fingering, Reader having to keep quiet, Car sex, Public sex, dom!regina, choking, mention of strap-on
Regina had found a new person to play with, Cady Heron. You were in her group of plastics for a while and when new meat walked in, of course Regina had to invite her to have lunch with the rest of you.
Cady was very pretty, the only problem was, her fashion sense. Which, Regina couldn't tolerate. So, she decided to invite all of you to go shopping.
"Get in loser," she smirked at Cady, your jealousy growing. You and Regina's relationship was complicated. You had sex with her a lot but never more than that. She was out to everyone but you were scared to ask her out. However, despite, the "friends with benefits" relation you both had, she would get extremely jealous whenever you got close to someone else.
When all of you reached the mall, she helped pick out outfits for cady. They all tried on different types of clothing, and gretchen and karen hyped cady up and helped her decide what to buy.
While all of this was going on, you were roaming around, picking clothes that you thought would look good on Regina as you chuckled to yourself.
Of course, you had developed a crush on Regina, Gretchen and Karen had figured it out too, saying you were awfully obvious.
While you were lost in your thoughts, a worker showed up to help you out. Her blouse was slightly open, and you could tell she was trying to flirt.
Out of the corner of your eye, you could see Regina glaring at the both of you and you decided to mess with her. You started leaning in more into the worker, laughing and giggling at her words, acting flirty.
Regina was boiling with rage, she hated seeing you flirt with others, that too, in front of her. She stormed over, grabbing your arm and dragging you away.
"We're leaving," she growled, you shivered at her aggression. You all made your way to the car, but she didn't make eye contact with you, neither did she try to talk to you.
As you were too many people, you all decided to split cabs. One with you, Karen and Regina, the other with Cady and Gretchen.
Karen sat in the front, completely oblivious to the tension among you and Regina at the back. She had headphones in, not paying attention to you both.
"Regin-" you began to talk, but were cut off as she turned around and glared at you. "What did you think you were doing?" she asked you, her tone demanding, sending shivers down your spine.
You couldn't form proper sentences, her hand undoing your jeans slowly. Karen was completely phased out, not paying attention to you both to your relief. "I- I was just talking to the worker there," you managed to say.
"Oh, you know it was more than that," she hissed. She was extremely mad, and you found it so hot. You were going to answer but gasped.
Her fingers made it to your underwear, teasing your folds. "Maybe you need to be reminded who you belong to," she growled in your ear. You let out a shaky breath, nodding slowly.
"So wet for me, kitten," she purred in your ear as you bit your lip to suppress your noises. Her fingers stroked you, making you shiver.
"Who do you belong to?" She looked at you, eyes filled with lust. "Y-you, mmph," you whimper out, unable to form coherent sentences.
She inserted a finger in you, making you gasp. "Keep quiet, or else I'll have to choke you," she snarled, making your eyes roll to the back of your head.
"Oh, you want that, don't you?" she chuckled, darkly. Her free hand made it's way to your neck, choking you, as she looked front to make sure Karen didn't see anything. You let out a muffled moan as she added another finger in you.
"Regina, please, I'll never flirt with anyone else," you begged, you were getting desparate now. She giggled, fastening her pace as you let out muffled moans, biting your lip to the point where it almost drew blood.
"That's it, baby, ride my fingers," she purred in your ear as you rolled your hips against her fingers. You came undone quite quickly, making her chuckle. She pulled her fingers out, letting go of your neck and licked them clean.
You licked your lips and looked at her hungrily. You couldn't wait to get home, you knew she would punish you for flirting with other people.
And you were right, when you both got home, she bent you over her bed, ramming her strap into you till you couldn't walk.

Is this how you request a fic? I have no idea but I’ll try. I’m craving Regina George content. Can you please write something where reader is apart of the plastics but she’s not mean like the rest of them and that’s why Regina likes her. When Cady shows up and Regina has an interest in cady it’s too make reader jealous but instead cady ends up liking reader who distances herself from the plastics and then Regina gets jealous and admits her feelings so reader doesn’t end up with cady. If that makes sense? Thank you!
Craving Your Attention (Regina George X Plastic!Reader)
Masterlist
Request Something!
Summary: Regina George is the queen of North Shore High and she doesn’t like to share her toys, even if she doesn’t really play with them.
A/N: kinda toxic!regina even tho thats not really a surprise. slight cady x reader, she likes you instead of aaron (also aaron doesn’t exist teehee). The girls arent homophobic bc cady tells gretchen she likes reader and regina ends up with reader (saying this bc idk if you’re gonna read this with 2004 regina or 2024 regina in mind, and obviously 2004 was a different time lmao) content warning for diet talk but it’s just part of one scene. Heavily relied on the mean girls (2004) script for this fic, so it's almost all written centered around Cady. all in third person which felt a lil weird to write because i usually write in second person lol idk if anyone’s gonna want a part 2 but imma lyk rn that im not planning on writing a part 2, mainly bc this took so painstakingly long
***
Everyone at North Shore High knew about Regina George. They’d be stupid not to. She was practically royalty.
A queen bee was nothing without her little worker bees. First was Karen Smith. She seemed to give a whole new meaning to the word ‘clueless,’ but she was friendly. In more ways than one.
Then there’s Gretchen Wieners. She was Regina’s eyes and ears, whether it was wanted or not. All she wanted to do was please her leader.
And finally, there was Y/n L/n. If any of the plastics were to be deemed approachable, it was her. She was Regina’s right-hand girl, maybe even a bit more than that. But no one ever brought that up.
But then Cady Heron came to North Shore.
“Is he bothering you?” Regina tilted her head as she looked at the redheaded girl and the familiar boy who was talking to her. Y/n, who was sitting next to Regina, looked up from her food in curiosity. Regina didn’t usually talk to anyone outside of the table during lunch. The girl made a nondescript noise, so Regina turned her attention to the boy. “Jason, why are you such a skeez?”
Jason rolled his eyes, but tried to seem polite.
“I’m just being friendly.”
“You were supposed to call me last night,” Gretchen pouted, looking over her shoulder at Jason.
“Jason.” Attention was brought back to Regina with the simple call of his name. She wore a sweet smile, which meant that Jason was probably about to get a bite taken out of him. “You do not come to a party at my house with Gretchen and then scam on some poor, innocent girl right in front of us three days later. She’s not interested.” Regina then turned to the redheaded girl. “Do you wanna have sex with him?”
She looked shocked, giving an immediate no.
“Good. So it’s settled.”
“You can go shave your back now,” Y/n finished, and the four plastics waved him off. Jason walked away, but not before muttering an insult to the girls.
“Good one,” Regina said quietly to Y/n, who couldn’t help but smile a bit at the small praise. Before she could reply, Regina’s eyes followed after the red-haired girl, who was now starting to walk away. “Wait.” The single word made her stop in her tracks and look back. “Sit down.”
Regina moved her hands, signaling Gretchen and Karen to move to the sides of the lunch bench to make room for this mystery girl. After some more encouragement, she sat down.
“What’s your name?” Y/n asked sweetly, trying to ease the girl’s nerves.
“Cady.”
“Why don’t I know you?” Regina asked, looking at Cady curiously.
“I’m new,” Cady replied. “I just moved here from Africa.”
“What?”
“I used to be home-schooled.”
“Wait. What?”
Cady took a second, wondering why Regina kept saying ‘what.’ She didn’t think it was that confusing.
“My mom taught me at home-”
“No, no.” Regina laughed. “I know what ‘home-school’ is; I’m not stupid. So, you’ve actually never been to a real school before?”
As she spoke, Regina leaned more and more forward towards Cady. And as the conversation continued, Y/n wondered why Regina was taking such an interest in her. Regina never cared about anyone who passed by, too involved in the latest gossip session Gretchen had started or in Y/n’s appearance. Not that Y/n really noticed that; she was busy thinking about Regina to see that Regina was thinking about her. Either way, she didn’t understand why the blonde was suddenly so fascinated by this new girl.
“You’re like, really pretty.”
Oh… That must be why.
Y/n seemed to tune the rest of the conversation out, too wrapped up in Regina’s compliment towards Cady and the bright smile she wore while giving it. She didn’t know why it bothered her. It’s not like Regina belonged to her. If anything, Y/n, along with the rest of the Plastics, belonged to Regina.
Even when Regina brought Gretchen and Karen in close to speak to them and Y/n, leaving Cady awkwardly leaning back to give them more privacy, Y/n didn’t care much to listen. The gist of the conversation was that they wanted Cady to sit with them at lunch for a week, something they had never considered doing with anyone else in this school.
“Okay.” Regina started as Gretchen and Karen relaxed back into their seats, and Cady leaned back in. “You should just know that we don’t do this a lot, so this is, like, a really huge deal. We wanna invite you to have lunch with us every day for the rest of the week.” Regina wore a grin that meant she was up to something, but Cady didn’t seem to decipher that, and the rest of the girls didn’t know what it meant.
“Oh, it’s okay—” Cady’s tone seemed to indicate that she was about to decline, but Regina interrupted her before she could.
“Coolness.” The bell rang, and Regina’s eyes darted over to Y/n before going back to Cady. Her mischievous smile remained present as she, Gretchen, and Karen grabbed their trays. “So we’ll see you tomorrow.”
The three Plastics stood up and left the table, leaving Y/n in a slight daze and Cady confused about what had just happened. Y/n suddenly looked around, realizing that her friends had left without her, but the new girl was still with her. She figured that she should say something before leaving her alone. She didn’t have to be mean or unpleasant just because Regina seemed to like Cady.
“On Wednesdays, we wear pink.” Y/n said it with a timid but sweet smile, trying to get over the revelation that the girl she loved was setting her sights on someone else. Her hand patted Cady’s a few times before she stood up and picked up her tray. “Welcome to North Shore.”
As Cady watched Y/n leave, and as Janis and Damian dragged the redhead away to interrogate her about her interaction with Regina, she couldn’t help but feel warm. Maybe public school wouldn’t be so bad.
***
The next day, Cady was slightly nervous to sit with the Plastics. She felt like a double spy. Janis and Damian were under the impression that Cady was doing it for them, to listen in on Regina’s secrets and relay them back to her friends so they could laugh at the pathetic and superficial nature of it all. And sure, that was the main reason she was sitting with the girls. But Cady also returned to the table so she could bask in a new light, Y/n.
But living in girl world came with a bunch of rules.
“You can’t wear a tank top two days in a row, and you can only wear your hair in a ponytail once a week. So…” Gretchen laughed lightly, seeming a little nervous for no reason as she looked at Cady, who was wearing her hair in a ponytail. “I guess you picked today. Oh! And we only wear jeans or track pants on Fridays.”
“Which totally blows in the winter,” Y/n muttered before sipping her Diet Coke.
“Now,” Gretchen started again, “if you break any of these rules, you can’t sit with us at lunch.” Cady seemed surprised, but Gretchen continued. “Not just you! Like, any of us. Okay, so, like, if I was wearing jeans today, I would be sitting over there with the art freaks.” She said it with a grimace, pointing over to a table a few feet away from the girls before looking back at Cady. “Oh, and we always vote before we ask someone to eat lunch with us, because you have to be considerate of the rest of the group. I mean, you wouldn’t buy a skirt without asking your friends first if it looks good on you.”
Everyone nodded except for Cady, who was processing all of these new rules she had to follow.
“I wouldn’t?”
“Right,” Gretchen said with a definitive nod. “And it’s the same with guys. Like, you may think you like someone, but you could be wrong.”
“One hundred twenty calories and forty-eight calories from fat,” Regina interrupted, reading a food bar that she had grabbed. She looked at her friends inquisitively. What percent is that?”
“Uh… forty-eight into one hundred and twenty?” Gretchen suggested, not really sure of herself.
“No, I don’t think so, Gretch,” Y/n said, trying to think of the correct answer.
“I’m only eating foods with less than thirty percent calories from fat.”
“It’s forty percent,” Cady said suddenly, proud that she was able to do the equation in her head. Everyone looked at her, expressions varying from impressed to confused. Cady suddenly felt the need to show her work. “Well, forty-eight over a hundred and twenty equals X over a hundred-”
“So then you cross multiply to get X!” Y/n finished off with a grin, thrilled that she knew what Cady was talking about. Cady smiled back at her with the same excited energy, although looking a little more subdued. Not only was this girl super pretty and friendly, but she also seemed decently smart. Maybe Janis was wrong about these girls.
“Whatever.” Regina looked at the two girls suspiciously. She tossed the food bar onto the table and stood up. “I’m getting cheese fries. Y/n, come with me.”
Taken back by the sudden command, Y/n stumbled out of her seat and followed Regina. Cady’s eyes followed her until she was out of sight, and she sighed quietly when she couldn’t catch a glimpse of the girl anymore.
“So!” Gretchen startled Cady with her enthusiastic voice and a hand on her shoulder. As she turned to look at her, Cady realized that Karen was also gone from the table. She must’ve gone to the bathroom or somewhere else. “Have you seen anyone you think is cute yet?”
Cady didn’t know how to answer. There was definitely one person that came to mind, but she didn’t know if she should say the name. Gretchen might react badly if Cady told her, which would most likely lead to her getting kicked out of the Plastics.
But at the same time, she didn’t want to lie.
“Well… there’s this one.. girl.” The last word was quiet and hesitant, but Gretchen picked up on it.
“Oh my gosh, who is it?” She asked excitedly. “Do you think it’s just like, a phase, or is it more serious?”
“I dunno.” Cady shrugged. “I haven’t known her too long to be sure.”
“Who is it?” Gretchen leaned forward in her seat, completely invested in Cady’s answer. It took the redhead a long moment of hesitancy to open her mouth.
“It’s Y/n…”
“No!” Gretchen straightened up, looking absolutely horrified. She looked around, ensuring none of the other girls were back yet. “You can’t like Y/n. Not only is she a part of the group, but… Okay, you didn’t hear this from me, and you’re, like, totally forbidden from ever bringing it up. But Regina is really possessive over Y/n. They’ve been best friends for, like, forever, and Regina chases off anyone who tries to so much as ask her out. And it’s not my place to say whether or not it’s more than friendship, but if I had to say something, there’s definitely something going on between them.” Gretchen took a much-needed breath, shaking her head slightly to clear her jumbled thoughts. “Look, the point is, you shouldn’t date friends. Especially Regina’s friends. But don’t worry, I’ll never tell Regina or Y/n what you said. It’ll be our little secret.”
Gretchen gave Cady a sweet smile, and that seemed to be the end of their little conversation. But for the next few days, Cady kept thinking about it.
She didn’t want to get on Regina’s bad side. That would mean no more things to tell Janis and Damian and no more seeing Y/n. And she also didn’t want to freak Y/n out. But just because Cady wasn’t allowed to like Y/n didn’t mean she wasn’t allowed to look at her. Or think about her. Or talk to her.
A few days later, when Cady was with Janis and Damian at the mall, Janis asked when Cady would see Regina next. She said it felt weird to spy on her and that she didn’t want to do it anymore. And sure, it being weird was part of why she wanted to stop. But mainly, it was because Cady had started getting so distracted by Y/n that it was difficult to focus on Regina. Which was strange, because the blonde girl was so alluring. But Janis reassured Cady that Regina would never find out about her double agent status, that it would be their little secret.
So many secrets.
***
“Hello?” Cady held the phone up to her ear, wondering who was calling her at this late hour.
“I know your secret.” Cady stiffened at Regina’s voice coming through the speaker. She internally panicked, trying to figure out what to do. How did Regina figure out about Cady’s spying?
“Secret?” She decided that playing it cool was the better move. “What secret?”
“Gretchen told me that you like Y/n.” Cady relaxed at the fact that Regina had learned about her other secret, before freezing again. Right now, she wondered if it would be better if Regina knew about the spying. “I mean, I don’t care, do whatever you want.” Regina didn’t sound like she didn’t care, but Cady didn’t bring it up. “But let me just tell you something about Y/n: She’s, like, never gone on a date before. It’s not that she’s not pretty or anything, but no one’s ever really been good enough for her.”
“Oh?” What did this mean? Did Regina deem Cady good enough for Y/n after so many others tried and failed? Or was this a set-up?
Honestly, Cady was so happy for Regina’s blessing that she didn’t really care.
“I could talk to her for you, if you want.”
“Really? You would do that?”
“We’ve been friends since like, pretty much birth. I know exactly how to play it.” There was a moment of silence, and Cady could picture Regina picking at her nails. “But wait. Aren’t you mad at Gretchen for telling me? Because if you are, you can tell me. It was a really bitchy thing for her to do.”
“Yeah, it was pretty bitchy, but I’m not mad.” Cady was a little mad, but she didn’t feel like saying that. “I mean, it’s better she told you instead of Y/n. I dunno, I guess she just likes the attention.” Cady didn’t know why she said that last part, but it had just spilled out of her mouth.
“See, Gretch? I told you she’s not mad at you.” Cady was a bit confused, but then another voice spoke.
“I can’t believe you think I like attention!” There was a click, and Cady assumed the Gretchen had hung up. She had no idea she was even listening.
“Okay, love you. See you tomorrow!” Cady could hear Regina’s smile, and then there was another click followed by a dial tone, showing that Cady was now the only one on the line. She then hung up herself, processing the three-way call she had just survived.
And then after that, Cady realized that she had gotten Regina’s blessing to try to pursue Y/n.
***
“What day is it?” Y/n asked, looking down at her worksheet. She didn’t usually do homework at lunch, but lately, some of her classes had been kicking her ass.
“It’s October third,” Cady answered almost immediately, catching the suspicious eyes of Regina and Gretchen.
“Thanks, Cady,” Y/n said, looking up at the girl and giving her a sweet smile before returning to her paper.
“I dunno why you don’t just ask one of the Mathlete dorks to do it for you,” Regina said, looking over Y/n’s shoulder. “They’d probably even do it for free.”
“We’ve talked about this, Regina. If my teacher didn’t catch on, it would still totally bite me in the ass when I’d have to do a test all by myself.”
“You need help with math?” Cady asked, subtly leaning closer to Y/n. The girl looked at Cady, now completely distracted from her work.
“Yeah! I used to get it, but trig is crazy hard.” Y/n sighed, delicately rubbing at her tired eyes so she didn’t mess up her makeup. “I feel like I’m never gonna get it.”
“I can help you!” Cady said, excited over this opportunity. She had always excelled in mathematics, and now Y/n needs help with that exact subject? It seemed like fate.
“Really?” Both Y/n and Cady missed the slight glare that Regina was giving them.
“Oh right, Cady’s like, a total nerd.” They also chose to ignore Regina’s snide comment before sipping her Diet Coke.
“That would be amazing, Cady! Maybe I could come over after school today or something?”
Cady was about to say yes, a million times yes, but Regina butted in.
“Y/n, you’re coming over to my house today.” It didn’t really feel like Regina was reminding her of forgotten plans. Instead, it sounded like Regina was coming up with a reason for Y/n to be unavailable. Cady’s suspicions were confirmed by the confused look Y/n gave the blonde.
“I am?”
“Yeah.”
“Oh… Well, how about tomorrow?”
“Perfect!” Cady spoke quickly and enthusiastically before Regina could say another word.
***
Over the next month or so, Cady tutored Y/n a few days every week. It quickly became their favorite part of their days. After helping with a few problems Y/n was stuck on, the two girls would get distracted by conversations about whatever they wanted to talk about. Neither of them felt the need to filter themselves in fear of being made fun of by one of the other Plastics, mainly Regina. Topics ranged from the latest gossip to future plans to their favorite things in media. If Cady had never heard of something Y/n brought up, which was the case nine times out of ten, the tutoring session would turn into a movie night or music party.
“Oh my gosh, so…” Y/n and Cady were in the middle of watching a chick flick that Cady had never seen when Y/n suddenly spoke. “I’m having a Halloween party at my place. We usually do it at Regina’s, but for some reason, she didn’t feel like doing it this year. Are you gonna come?”
“Yeah, sure.” Cady’s response made Y/n smile brightly, a sight that Cady could never get sick of.
“Awesome!” Y/n sat up from her slouched position, her excitement waking her up from her slightly tired state. “It’s a costume party, which’ll be a lot of fun. I can give you a flier with all the info tomorrow. Even though I know you’re invited, you need the flier to get in. It only admits one person, so don’t bring anyone else with you.”
“Grool.” Y/n blinked in slight confusion, and Cady realized what she had said. “I… I meant to say ‘cool,’ and then I started to say ‘great.’”
Y/n giggled, which made Cady’s cheeks heat up.
“Right. Well, grool.” The two laughed, and then Y/n looked down at her watch. “Oh my gosh, it’s so late. I should probably get going.” With the help of Cady, Y/n gathered her things. “See you tomorrow!” In a flash, Y/n kissed Cady’s cheek before walking out of the room and leaving Cady’s house. Cady’s cheeks felt like they were on fire, and she lightly touched the cheek Y/n had kissed.
***
One thing that no one told Cady was that on Halloween, many girls opted for very revealing costumes rather than actual costumes. So when she arrived at Y/n’s house, she stuck out like a sore thumb in her dead bride attire while her friends wore tight clothes and animal ears.
“Why are you so scary?” Gretchen asked with concern, looking at Cady’s appearance with wide eyes.
“It’s Halloween,” Cady said with a shrug, not knowing what the problem was.
Suddenly, a hand touched Cady’s arm, making her jump. But she quickly relaxed when she saw who was touching her.
“You came!” Y/n squealed, bringing Cady in for a hug. The redhead felt a bit flustered by the contact, plus seeing Y/n in her slightly revealing outfit. When they broke the embrace, Y/n held Cady by the shoulders, surveying her outfit. “And you’re a… zombie bride…?”
“An ‘ex-wife.’” Cady replied, using her fingers to air quote.
“Well, I love it.” Y/n finally let go of Cady, although she wouldn’t have been opposed if she kept holding onto her. “You want something to drink?”
“Sure.”
“I’ll be right back.”
Y/n squeezed Cady’s arm for a quick moment before turning around. She weaved her way through the crowd to get to the kitchen, where a shit load of different drinks were scattered on the counters. She started mixing a drink for Cady when she felt a presence behind her.
“What the hell is Cady wearing?” Regina asked, squinting to see Cady from across the room.
“She’s a zombie bride!”
“She looks like a freak.”
“Regina!” Y/n set down the bottle she was pouring and looked at the blonde. “Be nice.”
“Whatever.” Regina rolled her eyes, pushing her hair off her shoulder before leaning on the kitchen counter. “You know, you should probably be careful around her. She has a giant crush on you.”
“What?” Y/n’s eyes snapped to Regina, immediately curious. “How do you know?”
“She told me. She tells everybody. It’s kinda cute, to be honest. She’s like a little girl.” Regina laughed, and Y/n tilted her head and raised her brows, silently asking for more details. “Like, she writes ‘Y/n plus Cady’ and stuff like that all over her notebook. And she made this shirt that says ‘I heart Y/n’ and she wears it under all of her clothes.
“Oh, come on.” Y/n sighed and rolled her eyes, figuring Regina had been joking. “That’s not funny, Regina.”
“I’m serious! She’s, like, obsessed with you. And who can blame her?” Regina’s hand reached out and brushed a stray lock of hair away from Y/n’s face. When Y/n looked at her friend, she was suddenly closer than before. “I mean, you’re gorgeous.”
“Regina.”
“If I’m being honest… I hate the way she looks at you.” Regina grabbed Y/n’s chin before she could look away, forcing them to maintain eye contact. “It makes me sick. She should know better than to think she has a chance with you.”
“What are you saying, Regina?” Y/n’s voice was barely a whisper, but the blonde heard her loud and clear despite being in a crowded room with blasting music and semi-drunk teenagers.
“I’m saying you’re mine, Y/n.” With every word, Regina inched closer and closer. “I don’t want you to be with Cady. Or with anyone else.”
Regina closed the small gap between her and Y/n’s lips, wrapping her arms around Y/n’s body to keep her close. After the wave of shock washed over her, Y/n reciprocated the kiss. Neither of them cared about any of the people around them watching. Including Cady, who watched from across the room with watery eyes and a breaking heart.
Cady had lost Y/n to a competition she didn’t even know she had. Y/n had finally gotten the girl she had been wanting for years after being kept at arm’s length away. And Regina had once again ruined someone else’s happiness for her own.

This is the 3rd time this has happened! I demand to speak to anyone that’s in charge.
“Ugh, she won’t stop complaining,” you groan as you finish reading another email from the same customer who’s been complaining for 4 days straight because the delivery man delivered her package to her neighbor.
You’ve tried to explain multiple times that he had no choice due to her absence at the time of delivery but she’s adamant on letting you know she doesn’t approve.
You rub your eye with the knuckle of your index finger, careful not to smudge your eyeliner or mascara before you let a loud sigh push past your lips and slouch in your chair.
Your co-worker and friend, Taehyung, glances over at you from the desk next to yours with an amused grin on his lips. “I dealt with her last time. Good luck, she won’t let up.”
With a turn of your head, you finally meet his gorgeous eyes that glimmer with mischief and it annoys you to the core. Your glare throws imaginary daggers at him, an irritated scowl forming on your face.
“All she did was order some balloons and confetti. I’d understand if she had ordered something expensive like a phone or console,” you mumble in annoyance, your eyes flickering to the bottom right corner of your monitor to check the time.
It’s 3:34PM. Under 30 minutes until you get to clock out. You swivel in your chair, head thrown back as you stare at the ceiling, lost in thought. You close your eyes, allowing the built-in ceiling-air-conditioning to softly fan over your face while you think about what a shit week you’ve had.
“You’re too frustrated. Thought about fucking it out of your system?” You hear Taehyung’s deep voice way closer than it was before, making you snap your head in the direction of said decibels.
He has rolled over in his chair, now sitting right next to you with a shit-eating grin on his lips. You merely grunt in response, lifting your leg and placing your foot against the edge of his seat’s cushion right in between his thighs in one swift motion, missing his groin by a hair before you kick his chair back in the general direction of his desk.
He laughs as he aimlessly rolls back to his desk, grabbing onto the edge of the wooden surface belonging to his desk before turning to fully face you.
“I’m serious, Y/N.” His tone does sound more serious but you just wave your hand at him in dismissal as you return your attention to your inbox that’s bursting with emails waiting for a response from you.
“You offering?” you tease, playfully, without looking at him, eyes still fixed on the screen in front of you.
A deep chuckle leaves his throat before he continues, “If you’d asked that a week ago, I would’ve fucked the shit out of you.”
Your eyebrows raise in surprise as you turn to look at him but this time it’s Taehyung that’s avoiding eye contact, eyes glued to his screen as his long fingers gracefully dance over the black keyboard in front of him. Taehyung has always been flirty, has always made dirty jokes but that’s what they were. Jokes.
This time, he says it like it’s a confession. Like he’s serious. And you hate to admit that it rattles you to the core.
“Be normal,” you mumble, uncertainty coating your tone as your hands fidget with the bundle of papers to your right, pretending to look busy and unbothered.
He glances at you for a moment before shrugging and saying, “I’m not lying.” He returns his gaze to his computer, right hand draped over the cursor as the clicking of his mouse sounds louder than ever.
“But as you know that cute guy asked me out again and I can see it going somewhere,” he explains as he brings his other arm up, leaning his elbow on his desk and bringing his hand up to rub his lips with the tips of his fingers.
You idly blink at the side of his face a few times, eyeing his side profile. He truly is a sight to behold. A chorus of swear words start clouding your mind. Taehyung was down to fool around with you and you didn’t take that opportunity? You must be fucking crazy.
Well, in your defense, he wasn’t obvious about it. But you do wish you’d gotten to spend at least one night with him, just to see what you’re missing out on. He has never hidden his wild lifestyle, partying every weekend, meeting new people everyday, it makes you so very curious because you aren’t like that at all.
You like staying home, you like being in bed, you like rewatching your favorite shows on Netflix.
The soft knock on the door to your office snaps you out of your thoughts, your head automatically turning to look at the door as it’s being pushed open.
One of the long-term interns turned employee pushes his face into the room, politely bowing his head at you and Taehyung as his eyes peek at you above the rim of his glasses.
You’re acquainted with Seokjin but he’s really quiet and doesn’t really engage in much conversation, though, he’s always been polite and has never made you uncomfortable or anything.
He did once buy you a brand new, expensive keyboard and cursor because he felt so guilty for spilling your cup of coffee all over them. He kept apologizing even when you told him it was okay. He returned the following day with a new set and insisted on installing it for you.
Or another time when you left him speechless for buying him a box of chocolates for Valentines day, despite the fact you had bought one for everyone at work. He almost dropped to his knees to thank you, which made Taehyung burst into laughter as you tried to stop the giant with broad shoulders from being so dramatic.
You always do your best to be nice to him because everyone at work kind of dodges him, in fear of having an awkward conversation or assuming he’ll start rambling about his Pokemon card collection.
He has never said anything about owning a Pokemon card collection or anything of the sort. It’s just one of the many dumb stereotypical jokes they’ve made up about him, simply because he graduated top of his class, wears dorky sweaters, has glasses sitting on top the bridge of his nose and is socially awkward.
Or is he? They’ve never attempted to even have a conversation with him that lasted longer than 30 seconds.
With you, he isn’t awkward. He’s quiet but he’s not awkward. Yes, you have to do most of the talking which can make it awkward for you but he’s just a guy that keeps to himself. Who wouldn’t when they get treated like this?
He walks further in, muttering a low ‘excuse me’ before turning his body to address you, “Y/N, are today’s report files done?” Seokjin quietly asks you, referring to all the complaints you have to print out that need to be on your manager’s desk at the end of every day.
You nod and point your chin towards a bundle of files on your desk. He smiles at you politely and you return the smile, unfortunately, yours is fake. You’ve had a shit week and you can’t bring yourself to start small talk with him like you usually would.
He must’ve noticed you’re not in the mood so he just gives you a curt nod and takes the bundle of papers, fingers wrapping tightly around it as he spins on his heels and heads out of your office again. He disappears as quickly as he appeared.
You don’t pay much attention to him as you return your gaze to the screen in front of you, a quiet sigh leaving you as you continue to do what you’re paid to do.

You absolutely hate going grocery shopping on Saturdays, which is why you usually don’t. But when you swung the door to your fridge open and found out you had run out of milk, it had you cursing like a sailor. To think you’d have to start your Sunday morning without your mandatory bowl of Frosted Flakes and cup of coffee has you grunting in annoyance as you reach for a plastic store basket.
You sling it over your forearm and start walking around the store, already knowing your way around your go-to supermarket. Your eyes trail some of the new products, fingers silently tapping the handle of the basket against your forearm. You make your way to the refrigerated dairy section of the store, eyes skimming the see-through glass doors until you find what you’re looking for.
You fill your basket with some cheese, yoghurt and 3 bottles of whole milk before closing the glass door and turning on your heels. You start heading towards the checkout counter because you don’t want to be here any longer than you need to but your feet slow down in their pace once your eyes fall on a rack of condoms.
Your eyes scan the different brands, the different sizes, the different flavors. Even multiple types of lube hang on rods in front of you and Taehyung’s words instantly come rushing back to you.
Is he right? Should you just fuck it out of your system?
You aren’t the type to really have one-night-stands but Taehyung is. And he’s the happiest, most carefree guy you know. His happy-go-lucky attitude is branded on your brain wrinkles and you crave that same carelessness.
Before you can even let your rational self talk you out of it, you reach for a random box and turn it over, eyes skimming over the small white letters on the package.
Pffft. Extra thin for maximum stimulation. Ultrasmooth inside for a more natural feel. Made from premium latex.
Your eyes linger for a moment longer before you hear your name coming from somewhere on your right side.
You turn your head to look at the person, only to be met with the quiet long-term intern turned employee you’ve worked with for a few months now, Kim Seokjin. His fluffy brown hair is draped over his forehead like always, kissing the edge of his signature silver-rimmed glasses. His plump lips are big and pink, stretching to give you a polite smile.
“Oh, Seokjin?” you say with surprise in your tone, the box of condoms in your hands completely slipping your mind.
With a single nod of his head, his gaze slowly drops down to the box of rubbers in your hands that you’ve been ogling at.
“Having trouble choosing?” he asks in a neutral tone, the question catching you off guard.
You glance at the condoms again with a frown as if you’d forgotten you were even holding it, heat instantly rushing to your cheeks and ears in embarrassment. It’s only now that you realize you’re still holding a pack of rubbers that are made to cover a penis before it enters a hole.
You quickly place it back in panic, a nervous chuckle escaping your lips, “Oh, I uh.. I was just curious,” you mumble, shaking your head at the fact you let that lunatic talk you into checking out condoms in public. Damn you, Taehyung.
“Are you sure? I can answer some questions you may have.” His words are so well enunciated and polite that it relaxes you a bit.
You’re both adults. Adults have sex. This shouldn’t be embarrassing, not in the slightest.
His soft tone reassures you that there’s nothing to be embarrassed about so you glance up at him for a moment. You idly stare at him for a few seconds, committing his features to memory.
He’s quite beautiful. Very beautiful actually, you always seem to forget that fact about him but you’re reminded of it every single time you’re near him. Unfortunately, his personality isn’t really anything interesting so you don’t feel that attracted to him.
“Y/N?” he says with his brows pinched together, hidden behind his fluffy brown locks.
You must’ve been ogling him like a fucking freak for him to be calling you out like this. Fuck.
“Oh, right,” you blurt out, “well, I was wondering…” You don’t even know how to go about this but his calm and soft demeanor makes you feel at ease, despite your heart racing in your chest.
You continue, “I just wanna have some as backups at home but I’m not sure which size or brand to choose.” You’re relieved that you managed to say that without stumbling over your words but the hiccup in your chest is still being persistent as hell, though. You can’t help but be a little embarrassed.
“This brand is good,” he says without hesitation, pointing at a black box before tugging it off the metal rod and handing it to you. “Size medium is your safest option. They fit most people.” The words leave his mouth so nonchalantly, as if he’s talking about the weather.
If he notices how surprised you are at his reaction, he doesn’t show nor comment on it.
“If they don’t fit a regular medium then they’ll usually have their own.” His eyes finally meet yours as the words leave his lips, still no sign of judgment or disgust on his features. It makes you drop your tensed shoulders in relief.
“Yeah, I suppose you’re right,” you reply quietly, nodding your head as you process his words. It makes sense, of course. If someone has an unusual size, they’ll have their own condoms, no? Whether that be too small or too big.
“Thank you, even though that was more than a little embarrassing,” you chuckle to deter the embarrassment you’re experiencing at the moment, placing the black box of condoms in your basket before turning to face him again.
There’s a flicker of something unusual in his eyes and it catches you off guard for a moment but he quickly offers you a smile, his perfectly straight pearly whites making an appearance. You try not to be stereotypical but you can’t help but wonder whether that must’ve been the result of braces.
“Anytime.”
With that, he spins on his heels and disappears behind a corner at the end of the aisle. You slowly exhale the deep breath you didn’t realize you were holding and press the back of your hand against your cheek, the heat from your cheeks spreading through your skin, knuckles and fingers.
You gently shake your head in hopes of cooling down and head toward the checkout counter, waiting your turn as you unload your unpaid products onto the black conveyor belt.
The line is slow but at least it’s moving. When it’s finally your turn, you offer the cashier a polite smile as you reach for your wallet but you’re stopped by a hand on your elbow. You snap your head in the direction of the person that’s touching you, only to be met with familiar beautiful brown eyes behind thin silver-rimmed glasses.
“Sorry, I’m kind of in a rush. Do you mind me butting in?” Seokjin asks, holding up the products he’s holding in his hand. You’re surprised by the sudden interruption but you shake your head, muttering a quick ‘of course not’.
He quietly thanks you and begins by placing a bag of coffee machine capsules, a bag of Doritos and a small black box onto the conveyor belt, next to your stuff.
He walks around you from the back and presses his card to the payment terminal, paying for all your stuff as well. Your eyebrows shoot up in surprise, lips slightly parting as you watch him bag your goods.
“You didn’t have to do that,” you say as you tap his bicep to get his attention.
He simply shrugs his shoulders and offers you a kind smile, his hand coming up to the bottom rim of his right lens, pushing his glasses further up the bridge of his nose with the back of his index finger. You suppose paying for your stuff is his way of thanking you for letting him cut in line.
Your gaze shifts toward the products that he hasn’t bagged yet, the black box of condoms catching your eye. You pick up the box, thinking they’re yours but you notice the golden ‘XL’ letters immediately. That is definitely not the same box. Is he buying you another box of condoms as a thank you?
What does an ‘extra large’ dick even look like, though? That sounds ridiculous. “I thought you said mediums were fine?” you chuckle as you turn the box over to examine it properly.
“Oh,” he pauses, “those are for me.”
His words process in your mind a little too slowly to your liking. As soon as you realize what he just told you, your head snaps in his direction and he’s already looking at you with a small awkward smile on his pretty lips.
You absentmindedly blink at him a few times, your mind screaming at you to say something and end this excruciating awkwardness.
“Oh,” you start, “oh! Right, yeah. Of course. My bad.” You drop the box of condoms back onto the counter as if it burned your hand, heat spreading through your face, ears and neck all over again. And your burning cheeks had just started cooling off from the previous encounter, great.
A soft chuckle escapes his throat quietly, his head shaking in dismissal. “It’s fine. No worries,” he says as he gathers his stuff and loads them into another plastic bag before handing you yours.
“I’ll see you at work,” he pauses as he turns to look at you one last time, “Have a good weekend, Y/N.”
And just like that, he turns around and starts heading out, an air of his confidence still lingering around you. Your eyes intently watch his retreating figure as if you’re in a trance, his broad shoulders on display in the black shirt he’s wearing.
You can’t believe that just happened and what’s more unbelievable is how calm and nonchalant he was about the whole thing.
At work he seems so introverted, so shy, so timid. But today, he approached you, initiated small talk and even helped you with your concerns about fucking condoms.
Not to mention the fact that you just made him tell you that he has a monster in his boxers.
What the fuck just happened?

Your legs lazily carry you toward your desk the following Monday, feet dragging across the floor and shoulders slouched. Taehyung greets you from his desk as chirpy as ever and you simply nod in response, plopping down into your seat with a grunt.
He laughs at your grumpiness with a shake of his head before he returns to the work that’s waiting for his attention. You bring your hand up to shield your mouth as you quietly yawn, desperately in need of some coffee. You glance to the side, batting your lashes prettily at Taehyung with your hands clasped together under your chin.
Taehyung turns to look at you, an amused frown on his face. “What do you want?”
You pout at him, tilting your head to the side as you continue to bat your eyelashes. “Coffee,” you innocently say, making your eyes big and doe-like.
He laughs and shakes his head, rubbing his eyes with the knuckles of his index fingers. He leans back with a loud groan and slouches in his seat, staring up at the ceiling with his hands on his stomach as he turns in his chair from side to side.
He loudly sighs. “Only because you’re my favorite co-worker.” He finally gets up, yanking his phone out of the charger and tucking it into his pocket.
“I’m the only co-worker you see!” you exclaim with a scowl, watching as he blows you a kiss and heads out of your shared office. You childishly huff and cross your arms, spinning in your chair as you stare at the ceiling. You should at least start your PC up but you don’t think you could even get your brain to work and do something as simple as that.
You snatch your phone off your desk and check the time, 8:05AM. Too fucking early to do anything. You grunt and toss your phone back onto your desk, playing with the earring in your earlobe as you wait for Taehyung’s return.
It doesn’t take long for him to enter the room again, two cups of steaming liquid in his hands as he pushes the door open with his hip. He struts up to you and places the cup next to your keyboard. He brings his free hand up to flick the back of your head, causing you to yelp in surprise.
You snap your head in his direction, one of your hands flying up to the back of your head and your other hand reaches out to hit him but he quickly dodges you with a giggle, making sure he doesn’t spill his own cup of tea—he hates coffee—and burn his fingers.
He plops down in his seat and takes a sip, humming in delight with his eyes closed as the warm liquid slides down his esophagus. He pulls his lips away from the rim of his cup with an obnoxious ‘ah’ exhale which makes you groan in response.
You’ve never met anyone as annoying as him.
You roll your eyes at his ridiculousness and huff, a small smile on your lips as you eventually mutter a quiet ‘thank you’ to him. You take a sip of your coffee and moan, enjoying the taste on your tongue.
“So, how was that date?” you ask him, remembering how he mentioned something about the cute guy asking him out again.
To your surprise, he groans and puts his paper cup down on his desk with a loud thud, almost spilling the piping hot liquid everywhere. “He was a fucking asshole about me liking women as well so I called it quits.”
Your eyebrows pinch together, a slight stinging in your chest at his words. People can be such assholes.
“Oh, that’s horrible. I’m sorry you had to deal with that.” You turn your chair to face him, a small pout on your lips.
“It’s okay, I fucked his friend anyways.” He wiggles his eyebrows at you, making you scrunch your nose up at the shameless confession. You’re grateful you weren’t sipping on your hot coffee because that information would’ve easily burned your throat.
He snorts at your reaction, picking up his cup and taking another sip of his lemon tea, hissing at the heat on his tongue. “What about you? How was your weekend?” he asks you after he’s swallowed it down, eyes curiously glancing at you.
You shrug your shoulders. “It was fine. Boring.” The last word leaves your lips in a mumble, downing the rest of your coffee in one big gulp after it cools down a bit.
“I told you to loosen up, didn’t I? Have some fun, you’re young, you should be enjoying your twenties.”
His words instantly throw you back into Saturday, a twitch in your eyebrows as you recall the bizarre scene clearly.
“Oh, my God,” you mumble, staring at the computer in front of you before turning to look at him with big eyes.
Taehyung’s eyebrows raise in surprise before scrunching together, tilting his head to the side in curiosity as he looks back at you. “What?”
You pinch the tip of your nose and sniffle to prepare yourself as you think about how to explain your strange incident from this weekend. “What do you think about Seokjin?”
His frown doesn’t let up. “The quiet intern?”
“Yeah.”
The confusion on his face turns into complete perplexity, the question catching him completely off guard. “Uh? I mean…” He confusingly shakes his head to collect his thoughts.
“Pretty cute, tall, broad shoulders, geek, boring as hell,” he pauses. “Why?”
You nod to his words as you listen, agreeing to what he’s saying, “Would you believe me if I told you last Saturday he…” you begin, slowly processing the words you plan on saying out loud for the first time since it happened. “…He bought me condoms?” you finish, still uncertain about it as the words leave your mouth.
He instantly lunges at you in his chair, big eyes and a big shit-eating grin on his lips. “Wait, what the fuck? What are you talking about?” He gets out of his chair and places his big hands on the armrests of your chair as he hunches directly over you.
You sink into your seat, a bit surprised by his proximity as he leans into your face like he’s trying to decipher whether you’re lying or not. You try to ignore the lump forming in your throat. Taehyung is still a very attractive man after all, even if he’s your friend.
“Yeah, and it’s all your fault. If he didn’t see me ogling the condom section like a fucking weirdo because you told me to loosen up, that awkward interaction wouldn’t have happened.” You push your hand flat against his hard chest to push him back but he doesn’t budge, too intrigued by the exciting events of your boring weekend.
He laughs when he tells you, “Oh, that nerd wants to fuck you so bad.”
You screech, adding your other hand to his chest which finally allows you to push him off. He laughs loudly, running a hand through his fluffy golden locks as he stumbles back a bit. He still looks absolutely flabbergasted.
“No, you freak. He was being nice,” you mumble, disregarding the thought completely.
“Tell me everything,” he says with a smirk as he leans his butt against your desk, facing you with his arms crossed over his chest.
You explain the entire thing in vivid detail as you remember it, mind wandering to the way Seokjin’s brown eyes stared at you as you picked up his box of condoms. The image will never leave your mind.
You look around to make sure no one’s going to barge into your office and hear you talk about the strange conversation you’re having with your co-worker about another employee’s private matters (and parts). “Then after he paid, I picked up that box and he said those were for him.”
“Oh, so he actually fucks.” He strokes his chin at the new information. “What size were his condoms?” Taehyung can’t help but smirk, his tongue peeking out to wet his lips.
Your response is just a grunt, your attention returning to the computer in front of you. You completely ignore his question in hopes he’ll drop the topic but he’s Taehyung.
“What? Is he walking around with a little dick? Or is he blessed?” He nudges you with his hip, causing you to groan loudly as you try to push him off your desk. “Come on, I went and got you coffee.”
A heavy sigh pushes past your lips as you look up at him, guilty about the fact you’re about to reveal private information about another colleague. “XLs.”
You watch as his expression completely becomes that of a cartoon character. Eyes widened, jaw dropped, eyebrows raised.
“Shut the fuck up!” he beams. Grabs you by the shoulders. Shakes you slightly. You childishly groan his name but you make no efforts to stop him.
“Damn, who would’ve thought?” he mutters as he drops his hands from your shoulders to lean back against your desk, hands tucked into his pockets. He blankly stares ahead, eyes glued to the white wall in front of him as he continues to think about the revelation. “Shit. Nerd with a big dick. I should’ve called dibs.”
“Get back to work, you horndog.” You nudge his hip with your elbow, finally getting him to go back to his chair with a low chuckle.
“How long until you think he tries to make a move on you?” Taehyung purrs, taking a final sip of his tea. He crumples up the paper cup. Tosses it across the room. Completely misses the trash can. He isn’t the athletic type.
You shake your head in dismissal, a scowl on your face. “He’s not going to make a move on me, he was just being nice,” you say before you pause and momentarily glance at him to add, “don’t make it weird.”
He chuckles lowly, muttering a quiet, worthless apology. He begins, “Well, just because he’s big doesn’t mean he knows what to do with it. It’s not about the size of the wave but about the motion in the oce–”
You cut him off with a loud groan, “That’s enough out of you, freak.”
With a final laugh, he finally drops the topic of your timid co-worker’s penis and returns his focus to his work.

The rest of the week goes by so damn slow. And so does the next week. And the week after that. And the one after that.
It’s been weeks, months. Work is taking its toll on you again. It makes you twice as excited about going out to eat with a few of your friends this Saturday.
When Saturday afternoon finally rolls around, you take your mandatory everything-shower. You take your time washing your body and hair, shaving every nook and cranny of your body and exfoliating your skin.
You feel good.
Once you hop out the shower and wrap a fresh towel around your naked body, you saunter into your bedroom. You reach for your phone, unlocking it by typing in your passcode and instantly checking the groupchat.

Taehyung
Yall are some hating ass people bro
[4:01PM]
You
no ur just dumb
Taehyung
Oh I’M the dumb one OK
You roll your eyes and chuckle as you toss your phone onto your bed, getting ready to do your hair and makeup after you’ve slid on your black lace panties and matching bra.
After you’ve finished styling your hair exactly as you like it, you start with makeup.
You keep it pretty minimal. You hold your hand mirror in front of your face and get to work. You just color your brows in a bit, apply some concealer and bronzer. A pretty shade of blush to the apples of your cheeks and pretty wings of liner on each outer corner of your eyes. You pick up your phone to text Taehyung, in desperate need of a second opinion.
[5:13PM]
You
falsies or no falsies
You apply a coat of mascara while you wait for a response, making sure not to get any black clots stuck in your lashes. You soon apply a nice brown lip liner and a nude-peachy liquid lipstick on top, giving you the perfect kissable pout.
Your phone vibrates.
[5:15PM]
Taehyung
Falsies. Always falsies
[5:15PM]
You
👍 thnx
You chuckle as you apply lash glue to your pretty cat fake eyelashes you got from some random drugstore and place them on your desk gently as you wait for the glue to get tacky.
Your phone vibrates again.
[5:16PM]
Taehyung
I honestly don’t know what the fuck falsies even are but the more of anything the better
[5:16PM]
You
fake eyelashes dumbass
[5:16PM]
Taehyung
Oh. Show me the difference?
You sigh in exasperation as you apply fake eyelashes to only one of your eyes, tinkering with the band in the inner corner of your eye, tongue poked out at the corner of your mouth in concentration.
Once you’re satisfied with the lashes, you glance into your vanity mirror to see what it looks like from afar. You put your phone up and open up the front camera, staring into the camera with a sultry look to emphasize the difference of fake lashes versus no fake lashes, but with a peace sign to make it somewhat playful.
[5:19PM]
You

You fight the urge to nibble on your bottom lip, to not ruin your perfect lip look of tonight as you anxiously wait for his response. You’re running out of time and you still have to get dressed.
[5:20PM]
Taehyung
Both are nice but definitely with
[5:20PM]
Taehyung
You look good
You smile to yourself when you read the message, beginning to prepare the other fake lashes.
Once you’ve wrapped up your makeup with a spritz of setting spray directly onto your face, you fan it down with your hand and place your hand mirror back in its rightful place.
You get up from your little vanity and head towards your closet, fishing out the white silk button up that compliments your waist and chest so beautifully and the black knee-length pencil skirt that hugs your ass and hips so well, making you want to bend yourself over any surface.
You snap out of your ludicrous thoughts and quickly slip your clothes on for tonight, walking up to your vanity as you’re buttoning up your shirt. You reach for a gold layered necklace and wrap it around your neck, leaving the top 2 buttons unbuttoned so you can flaunt your pretty necklace.
You pick up your favorite perfume and spray yourself with the sublime scent, humming in delight as the scent enters your nostrils.
You push the needles of the small golden hoop earrings you fished out of your drawer through the already existing holes of your earlobes, clasping them up and turning to look at yourself in the mirror one last time before sliding a gold bracelet onto your left wrist.
You grab your small purse, tucking your phone and lipgloss inside as you head into your hallway, pushing your feet into your black pumps before unlocking your front door and heading out, making sure to lock up behind you.
You look and feel good for the first time in a while. Tonight’s going to be fun.

Your night is filled with laughter and chitchat, surrounded by people you enjoy being around.
“He was so drunk he literally threw up all over that poor girl’s Louboutins.” Olivia goes on and on about the crazy night she spent with her best friend, Hoseok, last weekend. Taehyung is enjoying the outrageous story, laughing and slapping Hoseok’s shoulder as he listens to every word.
Hoseok, who has visibly reddened in his face, groans loudly, “You literally snorted so hard at that guy’s joke that you spat in his eye.” He shoots back in defense, ready to start their signature back and forth sibling-like bickering.
They continue on and on but it’s nearing 8PM and your social battery is running out.
As if he could read your mind, Taehyung waves a waiter over and asks for the check.
Taehyung had offered to go for drinks somewhere else but Hoseok and Olivia have to get up early and do some volunteering in her hometown’s new pub that’s co-owned by her parents.
You’re thankful, though, you really just want to go home. The night life just isn’t for you, you just want to cuddle up in your bed, watch a sappy movie or thrilling series and go to sleep. Like you do pretty much during all your weekends.
You excuse yourself to go to the restroom but on your way there, you hear your name being called.
Spinning on your heels, your eyes scan the area, trying to locate the voice that called out to you. Your patience is running thin and you’re about to continue your strut to the restroom until a soft hand gently cups your elbow.
You turn your head to look over your shoulder, met with chestnut brown eyes and big plump lips. It takes you a moment to recognize him without his fluffy hair draped over his forehead and no glasses decorating his eyes.
Your frown must be getting to him because he speaks up again, “Forgotten my name, have you?” he teases, dropping his hand from your arm.
Your eyebrows shoot up in surprise when his familiar voice booms in your ears, flabbergasted by the sight in front of you.
He’s wearing a 2 piece black suit, a beige dress up shirt under his black suit jacket, unbuttoned at the top. Even his damn neck is gorgeous, how is that possible?
His brown hair is in a side part, forehead and eyebrows on display, his bangs kissing the ends of his brows. You weren’t even sure he had eyebrows because his hair was always covering them. His signature silver rimmed glasses are nowhere to be seen and you assume he must be wearing contact lenses.
He’s absolutely fucking gorgeous. You already knew that but literally, what the hell?
Your brain is screaming at you to answer him already and not ogle him like you want to drop onto your knees and give him the sloppiest blowjob of his life.
“Of course not,” you blurt out, “Seokjin… right?” you finish, uncertainty in your tone.
He chuckles at your playful guess, not taking offense to your doubt. “Yeah,” he pauses, “what are you doing here? You look fantastic, by the way.” His gaze drags up your figure quickly and your heart jolts in between your lungs, causing your breath to hitch in your throat.
“Oh,” you begin, “thank you. I was out with some friends. What about you?” You have to pretend that compliment didn’t just make your insides clench.
He scratches the back of his head with a defeated smile. “I was supposed to go on a date but I think I got stood up because she was supposed to be here 20 minutes ago and she’s not answering her phone,” he chuckles with an air of embarrassment.
Your heart sinks to your stomach at his words. People are such fucking assholes.
“I’m so sorry,” you say, placing a comforting hand on his bicep. Your hands tense on his arm because touching his hard bicep isn’t a smart thing for you to do right now. “I never understood how people can bring themselves to do something like that. It’s such a shitty thing to do.”
He simply shrugs his shoulders. “I’ll wait 10 more minutes and then go home,” he muses, glancing down at the silver watch wrapped around his left wrist.
You slowly nod as you drag your gaze up his body. Wow. You can’t stress this enough. He is absolutely ethereal.
“Enjoy your night, Y/N.” A smile stretches onto his lips as he takes a step backwards, still holding eye contact with you before he turns on his heels and returns to his table which isn’t far from the restrooms.
You stand there for a moment, trying to gather your thoughts before you silently make your way into the restroom with a heavy heart.
How unfair. He’s such a sweetheart, why would anyone treat him like that? He’s respectful, well-mannered, absolutely gorgeous and allegedly has a big dick. He’s a complete catch.
You abruptly put a stop to your own thoughts. What kind of a hypocrite are you?
You literally don’t pay him any attention because he doesn’t ooze confidence or act like a bad boy with a foul attitude that are beasts in bed. You are one of the assholes you’re complaining about.
With a long glare at the mirror in front of you, staring yourself down in disgust, your heart won’t let up. He doesn’t deserve this. No one does.
You reapply your lipgloss after making up your mind, retouching some of your makeup and fixing some of the hairs that are out of place before you strut out of the restroom and return to your table.
You glance at Seokjin on your way to your table but he’s immersed in his phone, absentmindedly scrolling. Your heart sinks at the sight again.
“Took you long enough, I already paid,” Taehyung mutters, nodding toward the empty seats that once belonged to Hoseok and Olivia.
“I’m staying here.” Your words make him glance at you in surprise, a slight raise to his brows.
“What’s going on?” he pries because he’s Taehyung.
You shake your head quickly, dismissing the concern in his tone. “Everything’s okay,” you say in a reassuring tone.
“Why are you staying here?” he asks, eyes furiously scanning the area.
You obnoxiously sigh, he won’t stop prying so you might as well just tell him. “Seokjin got stood up and I feel bad for him. I’ll join him for like… half an hour.”
Taehyung narrows his eyes at you for a moment, tilting his head to the side as he processes your words. There haven’t been any note-worthy incidents between you and Seokjin since the condom-thing so Taehyung never brought him up again but just as you thought he could finally act like an adult, a smug smirk creeps on his lips.
“You’re definitely getting fuc–”
“Out.” You cut him off, pushing him toward the exit.
He laughs as he heads out the door of the restaurant, throwing you his attempt at an ahegao face from behind the glass of the window outside. You roll your eyes in exasperation, holding up your middle finger in response before you start making your way to Seokjin’s table.
He’s still on his phone, elbows on the table as he mindlessly scrolls through whatever app he’s on.
You inhale deeply before approaching him, pulling out the chair opposite of him and plopping down on it.
This catches his attention. He peeks up at you from his phone, eyes glancing at you through his brows in surprise and confusion.
You return the eye contact and place your own elbows on the table, slightly leaning forward to close some of the distance between you two.
“Long time no see,” you joke.
He frowns for a moment longer before he chuckles and he locks his phone, turning it face down onto the table next to his utensils. “What’s up?”
You stare at him for a little while longer while he awaits your response in confusion. You part your pretty lips to speak, “That date is probably not coming. Thought I’d join you for a while, I don’t have any plans anyways.”
His eyebrows shoot up in surprise, thick lips parting to say something but no words come out. He leans back into his chair, a certain look in his eyes that you can only describe as intrigue as he shuts his mouth again.
You tilt your head to the side, pretty eyes still intently watching him with a glimmer of something in your eyes that even you can’t put your finger on.
“That’s nice of you. Why, though?” he asks, voice neutral as if he genuinely just wants to know why you would do that.
You bring your shoulders up and drop them right away. “I just wanted to.”
He glances at you for a few seconds. There’s a flicker of something in his eyes but it’s gone by the time you’ve realized it’s skepticism. “It’s not out of pity, right?”
Your heartbeat stutters for a moment at how his voice seemed to drop an octave when he asked that, sweat forming on your palms. You quickly compose yourself and shake your head. “No.”
“Well then,” he says as he glances at the seemingly expensive watch wrapped around his left wrist, “would you like to order something?”
“Nah.” You shake your head at his offer because you really just want to go home but quickly realize he must not have eaten yet, since he was waiting for someone that never came. “But you must be hungry, right?”
He brings his fingers up to his face, absentmindedly rubbing his shaven chin as his eyes continue to study you. “Yeah, but I heard the food here takes quite some time to get to your table so I was just planning on leaving and eating something at home or something.”
“Hm,” you hum, fingers fidgeting with the hoop earring in your right earlobe. “I have some leftover lasagna at home. Would you like some?” The words leave your mouth before you can even think them through. Why the hell would you invite him into your home?
Thankfully, Seokjin is more of an introvert who also prefers the comfort of his own home, so he’ll probably decline.
“Sure.”
Your chest visibly stutters but you quickly compose yourself and rise to your feet in a hurry, hoping he won’t notice the nervous switch in your demeanor. “Cool, let’s go,” is all you say as you scramble to gather your purse.
He wordlessly blinks at you a few times before quietly chuckling and reaching for his phone as he tucks it into the pocket of his slacks.
He calls a waiter over and explains the situation before walking up to you, trying to get through the sea of bodies that are present. He finally reaches you as you wait for him by the exit of the building and places his hand on the small of your back as he motions for you to walk out the door first.
His touch, not even directly to your skin, sends an instant volt of electricity down your vertebrae. Stop suddenly acting a fucking fool around him when you didn’t even notice his presence before, you think to yourself.
“Did you come here by car?” he asks, taking his car keys out of his pocket before turning to look at you.
You shake your head. “Taehyung came to pick me up.”
He nods to your words whilst leading you to his car, warm hand still on your back. “Kim Taehyung? From work?” He leads you to a black Mercedes and you don’t know a lot about cars but this one looks insanely expensive. How does he have the money to own a car like that with the same salary you have?
“Oh uh,” you say as you snap out of your thoughts, “yeah.”
He opens the door to the passenger seat’s side for you and holds your hand for support, his other hand protecting your head as you get in.
Wow. Who would’ve thought he was such a gentleman?
It’s a stark contrast from when Taehyung called you a sexy bitch and told you to hop in his car earlier this evening.
Seokjin closes the door on your side and makes his way around the front of his car to the driver’s seat. Your eyes stay glued to him like a moth to a flame as he makes his way in, your heartbeat quickening again.
Why are you so nervous? It’s all Taehyung’s fault and his crazy scenarios.
“Earth to Y/N?”
You must’ve seemed lost in thought for too long because your nostrils suddenly fill up with a vanilla and musk scent, making you snap out of your filthy mind. Seokjin has leaned into your body, arm reaching across your chest as he tugs the seatbelt from your side over your torso and clicks it into the buckle.
Your breath is stuck in your airways as you freeze at his proximity, your palms growing sweaty again. “Oh, sorry.”
You don’t look at him as he leans back into his seat and buckles his own seatbelt, surprisingly not commenting on your apology. He presses a button on his dashboard, making the car roar to life before he places his hand on the back of your headrest and looks over his shoulder.
He starts backing out of the parking spot despite having a camera right above the car radio. Old habits die hard, you suppose.
You glance at him for a moment but immediately regret it. He is so fucking hot.
He must’ve sensed your eyes on him because for a moment, he makes eye contact with you whilst he’s still reversing out of the parking slot. There’s an unreadable look in his eyes as his eyes briefly meet yours before he looks back over his shoulder again.
He didn’t smile or anything, just glanced into your eyes and returned his attention to backing out of the parking spot.
Heat instantly rushes to your face and you turn your head to look out the window on your side, forcing yourself to not make the same mistake of gawking at him again. Not when you’re so close to him, at least.
He turns on the car radio after asking you for your home address and typing it into the built-in navigation system of his car before he accelerates and starts driving to your destination.
“Not to pry but are you and Taehyung…” His voice gets quieter as it reaches the end of his sentence, eyes still looking at the road in front of him.
“Huh?” You turn your head to look at him, mesmerized by his amazing side profile.
He slightly turns his head to look at you for a moment before returning his attention back to the road, a look on his face as if to tell you it’s obvious what he’s hinting at.
“Oh,” you say as you realize what he’s implying. You shake your head quickly and blurt out, “No, not at all.”
He only nods to your response, eyes unwaveringly staring ahead of him.
The rest of the car drive is uncomfortably quiet, the soft pop music playing is the only thing that’s keeping this silence between you two from being excruciating.
Luckily, the drive isn’t long and you’re in front of your apartment complex in less than 10 minutes. As you reach for your purse and unbuckle your seatbelt, Seokjin has already gotten out of the car and jogged to your side to open the door for you.
He holds his hand out for you to take and you do, hoping to the Lord that he can’t tell how sweaty your palms are. You swing your legs out of the car, placing your heels onto the concrete with a loud click as you get out. You let go of his hand to smooth out your skirt but really, you’re just wiping the sweat off your palms.
He locks his car with a button on the car keys and follows behind you as you fish your keys out of your purse, opening the door to the entrance that leads to the lobby.
The walk up the stairs is silent aside from your obnoxious heels clicking against the tiles, making you wince with each step you take. You make it to your front door and unlock, walking in and kicking your heels off. There’s a significant difference in your height now but he doesn’t comment on it and instead neatly places his shoes by the door as he closes it behind him.
You lead him to your living room and motion for him to sit down while you go and warm up the leftovers.
“This is a nice place,” he muses as he sits down on your couch, looking around to scan the room.
You quietly thank him as you disappear into the kitchen, taking the container out of the fridge and pulling open the cupboard to grab a plate for him.
This is starting to feel like it’s going to be a long night.
⋆ ⋆ ⋆ ⋆ ⋆ ⋆ ⋆ ⋆ ⋆ ⋆ ⋆ ⋆ ⋆ ⋆ ⋆ ⋆ ⋆ ⋆ ⋆ ⋆ ⋆ ⋆ ⋆ ⋆
With the empty plate of lasagna remnants on your coffee table, you’re seated right across from Seokjin who is on the couch opposite of you. The two of you had some small talk about work and cooking recipes whilst he ate but the silence has been going on for about 2 minutes now and it’s becoming uncomfortable.
Almost as if he heard your thoughts, he speaks up, “You don’t have to sit so far, you know. I don’t bite,” he says with a teaseful tone. “Unless you want me to.”
The words that leave his mouth so smoothly single handedly knock the oxygen out of your lungs, cause a twitch in your lips and bring a raise to your brows. You can’t seem to tear your eyes away from his face, his smug face. Did he drink earlier?
“Did you have something to drink back in that restaurant?” you nervously chuckle, clasping your hands together to stop yourself from fidgeting in front of him.
His shoulders bounce with the way he chuckles, slightly shaking his head. “Would I have driven us here if I drank?”
It almost sounds like he’s mocking you and heat starts bubbling in your stomach at the way the words rolled off his tongue so smugly.
“What’s all this then?” you ask, waving your hand in a circular motion in front of you, aimed at him.
He tilts his head to the side in question. He silently reaches for his glass of water and a small smirk creeps onto his lips when he speaks after taking a sip and says, “Elaborate?”
The bubbling heat in your stomach has seeped to the rest of your body, burning in your veins all the way to the tips of your fingers and toes.
You stare at him for a moment longer before saying, “This façade. This persona or attitude you’ve got going on.”
The barely-there smirk stays glued on his lips, his hooded eyes make his gaze feel that much more penetrating.
“Façade?” he repeats, bringing his hand up to rub his chin, the silver watch around his wrist glaring in the light coming from your corner lamp.
“Yeah, you’re nothing like how you are at work.”
He slowly nods to your words, a glimmer of mischief flickering in his eyes that have gone from pools of honey brown to bottomless pits of jet black. “What makes you think this is the façade and not the persona I got going on at work?”
His words process in your mind but you can’t bring yourself to understand what he’s saying. Is he implying he’s always like this and the way he is at work is just an act?
“Why would you put on an act at work?” You lean further back into your couch, crossing your arms over your chest as you swing your right leg over your left to keep yourself from bouncing your leg up and down in anxiety.
“Because those people don’t need to know me.”
Your frown deepens at his words. “Those people? We’re your colleagues, Seokjin.”
“Yeah?” he muses, placing his elbows on his knees as he leans forward, hovering his face over the coffee table that’s separating the two of you. “Tell me, if you told them that you were with me right now, what would their reaction be?”
His question shuts you up right away.
Aside from Taehyung who already knows, your co-workers would most likely tease you. You wouldn’t call Seokjin the punching bag of your workplace but he’s definitely not favored in any way. They’ll usually have him do the work that they don’t want to do, treat him like he’s not there. You’re the only one that treats him nicely.
You press your lips into a thin line as your eyes visibly soften at his question, a guilty look on your pretty face.
“Yeah,” he mumbles as he leans back into the sofa, thighs spread and hands on his upper thighs. With a curt nod, he arrogantly adds, “That’s what I thought.”
You swallow thickly and look away from him, uncrossing your arms as you subconsciously fidget with your fingers again, picking at your manicured nails.
You can’t blame him, you suppose. You think about all the times people have dismissed him or dropped their load on his desk without another word, the vivid memories making your heart sink into your stomach.
“Why are you so nervous?” His question makes you snap your head in his direction, eyes slowly widening at him. How did he know?
You blurt out, “I’m not nervous. What makes you think that?”
“Why were your hands sweaty when I helped you get out of the car?”
Your mind travels at lightning speed to come up with a rebuttal but all you can say is, “I’ve always had clammy hands.” Dirty liar.
You try to keep eye contact with him to seem assertive but your pathetic heartbeat quickens once he rises to his feet and walks around the coffee table, toward you.
You shoot up in your seat, uncrossing your legs as he closes the distance between you two. You tilt your chin up, glancing at him through the pretty lashes you chose today as he stands before you, menacingly looming over your body.
“May I?” he asks, holding out his right hand but you have no idea what he’s asking of you.
You slowly and confusingly hold your left hand out to him but he gently turns your hand over by your wrist so the back of your hand faces down and your palm faces up. The tips of his fingers softly graze your palm before moving across as he presses the tips of his index and middle finger against the center of your wrist, right under the length of your thumb.
You stare at his fingers on your skin during the process but still being confused, you look back up at him.
The tension in the air can be cut with a dull butter knife.
His eyes aren’t on your face, instead, they’re still glued to where his fingers are pressed to your skin. His eyebrows are pinched together and he looks in a deep state of concentration. If you believed in magic, you’d swear he’s casting a spell on you right now.
Then, he subtly nods and lets go of your hand, watching how it flops back down to your lap. You continue to stare up at him, the dryness in your throat moving up and spreading throughout your mouth.
“Hands sweaty, heart rate quickened, breath heavy, fingers fidgeting, forcing yourself to look into my eyes,” he lists and then concludes, “You’re nervous.”
You realize he just took your damn pulse to prove his point.
He backs away and silently makes his way back to the opposite couch with a certain smugness, a clear indicator of his satisfaction at victory as he drops his ass back onto the couch. You stare at him with your mouth agape, a slight pinch between your brows and your mind racing with words to say.
“I’m not nervous, I’m just,” you start, “I’m confused. I don’t know what to make of you right now. You’re confusing me.” You finally find the coursge to speak up but your voice is quiet, your words almost incoherent.
“Well,” he pauses, “I don’t really owe you an explanation.”
Your eyebrows raise in surprise, a bit taken aback by his bluntness. “Can’t tell if you’re being an asshole or just bold,” you murmur, wondering if he’s just saying this to get a reaction out of you or if he’s just like this. He can’t be like this. This is not Seokjin.
Is it? Did you ever really bother to get to know him better?
He simply shrugs his broad shoulders and replies, “Either way, it seems like you like it.”
His words are like a punch to the gut, making you shoot your eyes straight at him as you clear your throat and lean forwards to act like you didn’t just hear him. “Excuse me?”
He starts, “You invited me over for food after pitying me. I’m done eating, I’ve been saying stuff that has clearly struck a nerve and yet you’re not telling me to get out.” His eyes scan the room for a moment before settling on you again. “Clearly something is keeping me here.”
Your glossy lips part and your eyes widen in disbelief, incoherent words and sentences bubbling up the back of your throat but never actually making it out of your mouth.
What the hell?
You clear your throat to speak again, “I’m just polite. And curious.”
“Curious?” he chuckles, “Don’t you know curiosity killed the cat?” The joke rolls off his tongue with another chuckle, making your stomach tingle with something you can’t put your finger on.
Curiosity killed the cat.
(Read: The cat being your pussy.)
His confidence, his look, his posture, everything is making him so much hotter than you’ve ever seen him before.
As if you needed it, your mind suddenly jumps to the vivid image of the golden XL letters on his box of condoms.
Maybe you should listen to Taehyung.
You ignore his smug remark as you eye his empty glass of water, nodding toward it before you ask, “Would you like something else?”
“Depends,” he says with an air of nonchalance, apparent by the smug shrug of his shoulders.
“On?”
“Whether you’re on that list.”
His flirtatious comment has your stomach doing backflips and a surge of heat shoots right down to your core. You hate how all he had to do was arrogantly imply he’d drink you up – no pun intended – and it’d have your panties sticking to your sex.
That’s it. You decide it’s time to bite back.
Just pretend it’s timid Seokjin from work, you think to yourself.
You get up from the couch and pour some more water into his glass. He reaches for the glass but you surprise him by wrapping your own hand around his glass before he can, bringing it up to your lips and taking a sip from his glass whilst keeping eye contact with him. After you’ve swallowed, you lower the glass back onto the table, leaving a stain of your lipstick on the rim.
He watches you with an arrogant raise to his brows and a faint smirk on those lips that you’d love to feel on your skin.
You plop back down onto the couch where you were previously seated before you say, “You’ve gone from bold asshole to bold flirt in the span of 2 minutes.” Your shoulders slouch and you hope you’re coming across as unbothered and casual.
“No harm in a bit of fun, right?” he jokes, a cocky tilt to his head as he continues to stare at you, reaching for the same glass and drinking from it.
“Sure, but where’s the fun in it if it’s all talk?” you quip.
Fuck. You can’t believe you just said that, your heart has shot up into your throat the moment the words left your mouth.
He simply smiles at your words before speaking up. “Do you actually believe that?” he says, his voice neutral and his expression almost mocking you.
You cross your arms and nonchalantly shrug, one of your hands coming up to allow your fingers to play with the earring in your earlobe before you part your lips to say, “Guess there’s only one way to find out.”
He squints his eyes at you for a moment before he dryly chuckles, shaking his head as he looks down at the glass in his hand absentmindedly.
After a few moments of silence, he places the glass back down with a thud. He looks back up at you through his brows, his hand coming up to his face in order to push some of his bangs out of the outer-corner of his eyes with his fingers.
“If you want me to come over there and fuck the shit out of you on that couch, you should just say that. Don’t beat around the bush.”
Fuck.
You force the yelp that’s threatening to erupt from your throat to go back down by forcefully swallowing it down, a knot forming in your stomach and a tingle in your panties. Fuck, you’re so happy you did all that scrubbing in the shower before you left for the restaurant.
“Aren’t you the one that’s beating around the bush?” you quip, watching as his eyebrows raise in surprise and you’re glad you’ve caught him off guard.
“Hm?” he hums in question.
“Really? ‘Depends whether you’re on that list’?” you repeat his words before continuing, “If you want to come over here and fuck me, you should just say that. Don’t beat around the bush.” You shoot right back at him, satisfaction swimming in your stomach at your quick comeback.
His nonchalant response is immediate. “I want to fuck you.”
Well.
Your mouth dries out like you just scooped a spoonful of cinnamon powder into your mouth in the middle of the scorching hot Sahara.
You clear your throat and gulp, gaze trailing to the wall on your side. You see him staring at you in your peripheral vision and you can just sense the smug smirk on his lips.
But you’re not going to let him win.
You finally decide to speak up. You say, “Well, what are you waiting for? Come over here, then.”
He rolls his tongue against the inside of his cheek, moving the wet muscle across his back teeth before rising to his feet.
Oh, fuck.

Things I Can't Explain
Karen Smith x reader
In life there were a lot of things you couldn't explain.
One of those things in life was falling in love with one of the most beautiful people you ever met in life.
It all started when you moved to Northshore.
Moving is hard on anybody, let alone a kid who didn't have much to begin with. Separated from your friends, the people that you grew up with, and the friends you grew up with. And you had nothing, just the clothes on your back.
You were rather low on the totem pole; being the new kid meant everybody knew you, and some kids love to pick on the new kid.
And then you met Karen.
You were in line with Karen when some skeeze named Jason walked up to the girls and tried to guess the girls' bra sizes and you just so happened to put a stop to it. She was upset, but was intrigued by you.
Karen wasn't very....err....smart, but she was very sweet and you liked her. A lot.
And she was easy to like.
She was pretty. Very pretty. The joy that she had radiated off of her as she went to Taco Bell was one of the things that made her beautiful. She was always prescribing that as a solution. Whenever you were mad---"Wanna do something fun? Lets go to Taco Bell!"'
And you'd shoot right back: "Karen, we can't just skip school to go to Taco Bell!"
It was cute, frankly.
You became very protective of her, telling her about some people, and even escorting her around school on occasion.
You were beginning to fall in love with her.
And then it call came to a head one afternoon. One afternoon, you had found Karen crying in the bathroom. Some girls had been calling her names and you (who just so happened to be in the bathroom) went there to comfort her. She kissed you as you were leading her out.
And then it finally came-----"You're very nice and sweet (Y/N) (Y/L/N). Why don't we go out to Taco Bell----on a date, this time."
From that time on, it was fun.
Love is a drug all its own. Karen made the world for first time shades of beautiful technicolor. Before the world was just black and white.
She showed you her talents of espn; you showed her yours of art. You helped out with assignments in class. You took her out on dates to the movie theater. And you are very protective of her. Every day, she was thankful you were with her. And you were thankful she was with you.
Gretchen adores you, and the two of you try to protect her from people who would take advantage of her.
In life there were a lot of things you couldn't explain. But Karen loved you and suddenly for the first time, some things were made clear.

Defender, Protector, Keeper (Arthur Morgan x f!reader)
A/N: This is one of those things I write that should have a first part but.... It doesn’t.... I do plan on making more within this little.... world??? With this mom!reader and her son Ben. So sorry for this mess.
Word Count: 2.5k
Warnings: violence, nothing out of canon, Micah is mean to children, mute child (is that a warning?) fluff, Arthur being a father figureish thing, soft Arthur, I don’t know what else to tag, blood? it’s all canon to the game
Summary: Arthur steps in to help you with your son after a run in with Micah.
***
“Miss Y/L/N! Miss Y/L/N!”
You moved out of the tent upon hearing Mrs. Grimshaw calling your name.
“Right here, Mrs. Grimshaw.”
“There you are. Where is that boy of yours?” She looked around as if trying to peek into the tent. I’ve got a little chore for him and Jack.”
“He was just in here helping me with laundry, but he wouldn’t mind giving you a hand.” You turned to go into the tent. “Ben? Mrs. Grimshaw needs your help.”
Ben, your five-year-old son, put the clothing in his hand down and looked at you.
“Come on with me, Ben. I’ve already got Jack over by the woods.” Susan gestured for him to follow her.
“What are the boys going to do?” You asked her.
“Help Lenny and Sean pick some firewood. The little fellas ain’t gonna pick nothin’ but some small kindling. The fellas– Well, Lenny won’t let the boys hurt themselves.”
You fought the urge to volunteer to follow your son. It was just little kindling sticks and twigs. It wasn’t like they were going to chop down entire trees.
Susan, sensing your hesitation, stopped just at the edge of your tent.
“They aren’t going far into the woods at all, Y/N. Charles and Bill are on guard duty and Sean and Lenny are going to be with them. Nothin’s gonna happen to those boys.” She assured you.
You nodded your head, reaching down to run your fingers over Ben’s hair.
“Go on and help Mrs. Grimshaw, Ben.”
He silently followed alongside her.
You continued to fold laundry until it was finished. Once that was complete, you decided to go out and see if there was anything else around camp you could help with.
It seemed to be a rather mellow evening. No one was out doing any jobs nor was anyone talking about any jobs, which was a rarity. In the three months that you had been staying with the Van Der Linde Gang, you had quickly realized their lifestyle was fast paced and there was almost always something to do.
You made your way over towards the tent the girls in camp stayed in.
“Hi, Y/N.” Tilly greeted you first. She was reading a book.
“Hey, Y/N!” Mary-Beth was also reading. Karen sat on a chair next to the two singing. “You wanna sit with us for a bit? You’ve been working hard all day.”
“That’s okay, Mary-Beth. I think I should go see if Ben is doing okay with Sean and Lenny.” You looked around towards the woods.
“What’s he doing with those two fools?” Tilly put her book down in her lap.
“Mrs. Grimshaw had him and Jack helping them with firewood.”
“Last I saw, Lenny and Sean were sitting over by the fire.”
A knot began to form in your stomach. Why hadn’t your son returned to you?
You moved to search for Lenny and Sean, but they proved to be easy to find. They were sitting at a fire with a few other gang members.
“Excuse me, gentlemen.” You cut off Sean. “Where is Ben at?”
“Hi, Miss Y/L/N.” Lenny gave you a charming smile. “Ben and Jack went over towards John and Abigail’s tent. Jack said they were going to play.”
“Thank you, Mr. Summers.”
***
You did indeed find your son at John and Abigail’s tent. He sat outside of it with Jack. Jack was talking about some sort of story that Hosea had told him about a bear while your little Benny just kept playing with his half of the deck of cards.
“Y/N.”
You looked up to Abigail.
“Hi, Abigail.”
“I hope you don’t mind that Jack brought Ben over. I know Susan had them working earlier.”
“I don’t mind.” You shook your head, smiling. You crossed your arms as you watched Ben. Jack didn’t seem to care that Ben was silent and wasn’t responding to him. Jack had learned since you both arrived at camp that talking wasn’t something Ben did, so he usually did all of the talking for Jack. You were thankful for this. In the beginning, you weren’t sure how young Jack would react to your quiet son.
“Do you want to sit down and have a cup of coffee with me?” Abigail asked. “I don’t usually get much down time, but neither do you. You’re always running around.”
“Have to keep busy, you know.” You chuckled a little. “Coffee sounds nice.”
The both of you got your drinks and then sat down at a table not too far from the boys.
“They grow like weeds.” She thought out loud, shaking her head softly. “I’m gonna have to get Jack some new clothes soon. He’s about to be too big for nearly all the pants he’s got. Maybe Ben could fit into what Jack can’t wear. Ben is a little thing. That way you don’t have to go out and waste money. I mean, the clothes aren’t perfect. Jack has needed them patched more than once. But they work.”
“That’s very kind of you, Abigail. Thank you.”
She gave you a smile.
“Momma! Momma!” Jack called as he ran over to Abigail.
Ben rushed up to you, a smile on his lips. His hair fell into his face and he tried to wipe it out of his eyes but he didn’t do too good of a job.
“Hi, love.” You smiled down at him, brushing your fingers through his hair. “Are you having fun?”
He nodded, looking over to Jack.
“Momma, can we go give Sean his cards back?”
“Where is Sean at?” Abigail asked, looking around the camp.
“He’s just on the other side of camp at one of the other fires.” You told her, recalling where you had seen him earlier.
“If Miss Y/L/N says that Ben can go, then yes. You can. But you have to ask her.”
Ben tugged on your skirt as if to ask you.
“Miss Y/L/N! Can we take Sean his cards?” Jack waved the stack of cards around.
“I don’t see why not.”
“I’ll race you over there!”
You watched as Jack took off first with Ben just behind him.
“I’m glad Jack finally has someone to play with and keep him company.” Abigail smiled.
“They get along so well.” You nodded. “I was a little…. worried at first, if I’m honest.”
“Oh really?”
“Just because…. Well, sometimes it’s hard for Ben.”
Abigail nodded her head understandingly.
“He’s a sweet boy, Y/N. You raised him well.”
“Thank you-,”
“You dumb little rat! Watch where you’re going next time!”
You stood up upon hearing the sound of shouting. Feeling the urge to find out what had happened, you ventured across camp until you found your son and Micah Bell. Micah had a hold of Ben’s arm and was holding him at an awkward angle.
“When someone speaks to you, little boy, you’re supposed to answer them!”
“Micah!” You raised your voice.
Micah turned his head to look at you but didn’t let your son’s arm go.
Anger bubbled in your veins.
“Ah, the whore. Maybe someone better teach this boy manners before he ends up worse than his ma.”
You pushed against Micah’s chest. Ben was crying at this point, trying to grab onto your skirt anywhere he could but Micah was finding amusement in pulling the boy away from you.
“Micah! Get your hands off of that boy!” Abigail shouted.
The next few moments happened all too quickly for you to know what exactly happened. But Micah released Ben and he fell backwards to the ground. Your hand flew up to smack him and you landed a nice hit on his cheek, but he was quicker than you and far more skilled in fighting so the backhand to your cheek came out of seemingly nowhere.
You took a few steps back to keep from falling flat on your ass. You ended up hitting something solid. A hand found your side and another your arm.
It was Arthur Morgan. He only took a couple seconds to make sure you were steady on your feet before moving around you to deliver two punches to Micah. The nasty man fell back as blood began to pour out of his nose.
“Y/N, are you okay?” Abigail rushed to one side of you and Mary-Beth came to the other.
You didn’t answer them. You only pushed them away to get to your son.
Tears streamed down his cheeks as he sat in the dirt where he had fallen.
There was a hand on your wrist that stopped you just before you could get to him.
Arthur turned you back around to face him. You pulled against him, wanting desperately to get to your son.
“You’ve got blood on ya, pumpkin.” He murmured quietly, using his thumb to wipe away the little bit of blood from your busted lip. “He don’t need to see that.”
“Th-Thank you.” You whispered.
“Can I pick him up? Move him somewhere else for you?”
You nodded.
Arthur let you go and moved towards Ben.
“Come here, Benny. You alright?”
Ben nodded his head, shyly tucking his face into Arthur’s neck.
Arthur took him to a table and sat him down on it, then pulled out a chair for you. But you couldn’t sit down just yet. You had to make sure he was okay.
Your hands cupped his face and tilted his head up so you could check him over for any marks.
“Are you okay, love? Does anything hurt?”
He held up his hands to you, showing that his palms were scraped up and bleeding a little. He sniffled, his bottom lip quivering.
“I’ll get somethin’ to clean those up, Y/N.” Mary-Beth spoke, moving towards Strauss’s wagon.
Upon seeing the scratches and bleeding scrapes from Ben falling back and catching himself on his hands, anger welled up inside of Arthur.
He turned and started to make his way towards Micah.
“Arthur! Arthur Morgan!” Abigail called after him, but she couldn’t stop him herself. “John! Mr. Smith! Please!”
You couldn’t pay attention to what was happening with Arthur right now. Ben was important and took priority.
You brushed his hair back and sat down in front of him.
“I’m so sorry you got hurt, love.” You leaned forward to kiss his cheek.
He wrapped his arms around your neck, careful not to touch you with his injured hands, and then slid down into your lap.
A few moments later, Mary-Beth returned with a bowl of water and a few rags. Tilly was with her too, helping to carry bandages.
“Are you alright, Benji?” Tilly asked. He nodded his head without lifting it from your chest. “He didn’t get too hurt by that nasty Micah, did he?”
“Think it just spooked him more than anything.” You answered her. “Thank you, girls.”
The items were placed on the table and then they left.
“Ben, I need you to sit on the table so I can reach you, love.”
He shook his head.
“We’ve got to get these scratches cleaned up, okay? We don’t want them to get yucky.”
A hand found your shoulder. You looked to see Arthur moving around your chair.
“Lemme give ya some help. That way Benny can stay on your lap where he’s comfortable.”
You nodded your head, giving him a little smile as a thank you.
“Hey, Benny? Can I see your hands?”
Benny shifted around on your lap so that he could easily face Arthur. He gave Arthur one hand.
“This might sting just a bit, but I promise it’ll be over soon.”
Arthur got a rag wet and began to clean the dirt and little bit of blood from Ben’s small palm.
“You’re a strong fella, Benny. You know that?”
Ben sniffled.
“I heard you helped Sean and Lenny with getting firewood. Did you carry all the big logs by yourself?”
A little grin tugged at your son’s lips. He shook his head.
Once he was cleaned up and Arthur had carefully wrapped up his hands, Ben looked around for Jack. He was with Hosea. The two weren’t very far away at all. Ben shimmied down from your lap but stayed by you. His eyes were focused on Jack. He wanted to go play with his friend.
“You can go on, love.” You told him. He flashed you a little toothy smile before taking off in the direction of Hosea and Jack.
Arthur stayed on his knees beside you for a few moments, watching Ben go. He let out a breath through his nose and shook his head.
“That bastard is lucky I don’t put a bullet in him.” He rose to his feet, shaking his head.
“Ben is okay, Arthur.” You turned your head to look at him. “He just…. He was just shaken up a bit. But he’s okay.”
“He hit you too. No man should ever treat a lady like that.”
You admired his words, the way he viewed things.
A little smile came to your lips and you watched him sit down next to you.
“Well, Mr. Morgan. Not everyone has the same ideals as you.”
Arthur shook his head, fingers curling into a fist. He was still worked up over the situation.
“It’ll be okay, Arthur.” You reached over to place your hand on his. “I can take a hit just fine. But I do appreciate you stepping in. It was really kind of you to help clean up Ben.”
He became a bit sheepish at your words, tipping his head down so you couldn’t see his eyes completely thanks to the brim of his hat. He cleared his throat.
“Just-Just hate seein’ the little guy cry is all.”
You smiled a bit and gave his hand a squeeze before moving away from the table he sat at.
Arthur watched you leave, then turned his head to watch the two youngest members of the gang with Hosea. Hosea was telling a story while Jack and Ben listened.
Arthur turned his head back to see where you had gone off to. You were standing with Abigail near Pearson’s tent. Abigail said something that caused you to look at Arthur, a smile pulling at your lips then you looked back at her, shaking your head and bringing your hand up to cover your mouth. It was a poor attempt to hide a giggle.
Arthur fixed the hat on his head and decided to go towards his horse.
“When are you gonna tell her?” Charles spoke from his horse. He was messing with a strap of Taima’s saddle.
“Tell her what?”
Charles rolled his eyes and shook his head.
“I’m not oblivious to it, Arthur. I don’t think any of us in camp are.”
“To what?”
“That you fancy her.”
Arthur mounted his horse, shifting around in the saddle a bit.
“I don’t know what you are talking about, Mr. Smith.” He adjusted his hat.
“Yeah, I’m sure you don’t.”
“You wanna come with me? Or keep standing there goin’ on about it?”

I guess I have a crush on you
Karen Smith x fem!reader
requested: no
warnings: no, just really cute and supportive plastics
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Karen Smith, the most beautiful girl you’ve ever seen and you never really knew how to describe what you were feeling towards the “Lost” girl.
All you knew was that the feeling was strong and no one knew about the feelings you had towards her, well the plastics knew and they know you’re helpless for Karen and when they found out it was in this exact order
“Guys I think I kinda have a crush on Karen”
“Omigodomigodomigod, you guys would be sooo cute together aww”
“I knew it, you weren’t really discreet when it came to your feelings towards Karen but I ship it”
“Yeah you’re kind of a... what do they say Regina”
“A helpless gay-”
“Yeah a helpless gay”
“Anyways” Regina says putting down her lipgloss
“You need a plan”
“A plan for-”
“To ask Karen out, god Y/n keep up” Regina says
Yeah so here I am, infront of Karens house with a pink flower in Regina’s car with Gretchen inside as well parked across the street before I exit the car I hear Gretchen say “Ooh also tell her that her shirt is fetch” yeah after a lot of convincing fetch is a thing.
“Don’t get hung up on your skin” Regina says giving a thumbs up “Right Right” you walk across the street and ring Karens doorbell “who’s that?” she says instead of who’s there “It’s Y/n” you hear the door unlock “Hiii Y/n come in”
you walk inside and show Karen the flower “*gasp* That’s soo pretty” she says looking at the flower “I-it’s for you” you say. Karen grabs the flower and looks back up at you “It’s almost as pretty as you” she says
you turn red really quick “Thanks for the compliment, but can I tell you something” “Anything” she says “Okay, these past few months I-I don’t know I guess I’ve had these feelings for you” she looks confused “Whaat?” “What i’m trying to say is, I guess I have a crush on you a-and if you want to go out if you want to” there was a pause “If you don’t like me it fine I’ll just lea-” you say about to go to the door but you get cut off by Karen kissing you, yup Karen Smith
“I like you to I just thought you wouldn’t like me” you pull her into a hug “Of course I like you you’re adorable

I was wondering if you can make a Bakugou x reader, the reader is a really really dumb girl (like a fusion of Karen Smith (from mean girls and Brittany from glee)) but she is so beautiful and funny and Bakugou fell in love with her because her personality, something really fluff (the quirk of the Y/N is "angel",she can cure people with wounds, also floats and make like a wonder woman lasso of thrut with her halo)(I’m sorry if this is hard to understand english is not my first lenguage)
a/n: yes!! this is so cool omg, also glee was my shit bruh- i watched all of it, and the ending still makes me cry so much. thank you for the request love!
summary: bakugou is absolutely head over heels for you, the beautiful and funny angel-quirk having girl that isn’t always the brightest. yet he’s still in love with you.
key: (y/n) - your name / (f/n) - first name / (l/n) - last name / (e/c) - eye color / (h/c) - hair color / angel - your quirk
warnings: fluff, swearing
wordcount: 1.2k

Bakugou couldn’t exactly pinpoint the moment he fell in love with you. He just did. It wasn’t a big surprise to him, he found you incredibly gorgeous, and was willing to do anything to talk to you or just be in the same room with you.
Your personality was as beautiful as you were. You were kind, caring, and heavenly. Your quirk was literally called Angel. And you made Bakugou laugh.
Bakugou also found that you weren’t always so bright. It wasn’t a bad thing, in fact, Bakugou liked it, more than he liked Kaminari.
“Hey, Bakugou!” You smiled and hugged him, pulling away when you’d successfully squeezed the life out of him.
“H-hey.” He breathed out, taking in a deep breath. You giggled and twirled a strand of hair between your fingers.
“What do you want?” Bakugou asked, watching as a blush spread across your cheeks. You were confused. Your pink lips parted as to say something but no words came out.
“You always do that hair-twirl thing when you want something.” Bakugou spoke again, this time his tone softer. He admired your (e/c) eyes as they seemed to glisten in the light of the common room. A smile perked up on your lips.
“Do I?” You question, trying to think back on every occurrence that you’ve ever twirled your hair between your fingers.
“Yes, you do, just spit it out already.” Bakugou was one to get impatient, but he never seemed to get that way with you. No matter how irritatingly long you took to say something or to get your point across, he could listen to you say ‘like’ ‘uhm’ and ‘so’ forever.
Your voice was so sweet like it was dripping honey with every word or sound that left your lips.
“Okay so, you know how that big test is coming up? I was wondering if you could like, help me study for it. I lost my notes.” You rub your lips together, the pink sparkly lip-gloss that coated your lips spreading back out.
“This better not be a waste of my time, Angel.” Bakugou had given you the nickname since you were quite literally the definition of it. Not to mention the bright glowing aura that seemed to follow you and the golden halo that floated above your head.
Bakugou was curious to know if it stopped glowing when you fell asleep, but he figured now was not the time to ask questions.
“It won’t be! Come on!” You drag him up to your room, which was surprisingly clean. Bakugou tried to ignore the pictures you had up of you with Deku, one of your close friends in the class.
There was one picture that made Bakugou smirk though, the one you had taken with him, the two of you standing on the stairs of U.A., Bakugou holding you in his arms after winning a 2v2 battle against Kirishima and Mina.
You were kissing Bakugou’s cheek in the photo, and Bakugou was smirking like a dumbass. Much like he was doing now.
“Earth to Bakugou!” You waved your hand in his face, snapping him back to reality. You plopped down onto the floor of your dorm, papers strewn across the floor.
“I still can’t find my notes.” You huffed, your lips pouting. Bakugou sat down and watched as you dumped your bookbag out in the middle, emptying all of its contents on the floor.
“My lipgloss! I was looking everywhere for this!” You pick up the light purple container of lipgloss that you had lost a week ago. Bakugou sighed as he picked carefully through the pile of stuff on the floor, the notes catching his eye.
“I found your fucking notes, although they look more like a coloring book page-”
“You’re my hero! Thank you so much!” You wrap your arms around Bakugou, avoiding laying all over your stuff that laid on the floor.
Your notes were written okay on lined paper, in several different colors with doodles all over the sides.
You’d made small comics of some kind as well as kissy-faces and notes around his name.
Bakugou’s cheeks were bright red at this point.
“Oh my god! You weren’t supposed to see that! This is like sooo embarrassing!” You quickly hid your notes behind you, covering your red face with your hands.
“Do you like me or something?” Bakugou asked, his curiosity finally getting the best of him.
“Yeah, you’re like super cute, and strong. How could I not like-like you?” You smile, your hands moving to search through the rest of your stuff.
It’s pushed away as Bakugou practically leaps across the floor to kiss you. His lips connect to yours and your back is pressed against the ground.
The kiss is needy, and well-overdue. You wrap your arms around his neck as you kiss him back, his lips tasting vaguely like cherries. What did he eat for lunch? Was this chapstick you were tasting?
It was your lipgloss. It had rubbed off on his lips and you’d just now tasted it. Kinda funny.
Bakugou pulled away and looked down at you, his vermilion eyes staring into your (e/c) ones.
“Your lips are shiny now.” You giggle. Bakugou rolls his eyes and tucks a strand of hair behind your ear. You get silent as he looks down at you, his body hovering over your own, his knees on each side of your legs, trapping you below him.
“Do you really need my help with this test? I know you aren’t that dumb.” Bakugou stares at you, a blush evident on his cheeks.
“Yes, I do! But only if you help me, Momo talks to fast.” You admit, feeling a little embarrassed.
“You better ace this test or I won’t help you at all.”
Bakugou knew that he was lying to himself when he said that. Of course, he’d help you.
- - -
“Bakugou!! I did it! I got a B!” You waved your test in his face, showing him how good you had done. He smiled and rolled his eyes, his hands resting on your hips.
“Babe, calm down. I’m proud of you.”
“This is like, the best I’ve ever done! I did so good!” You were smiling and giggling, an intoxicating sound to Bakugou.
“How about I give you a reward for doing so good?” Bakugou took the test from your hand and had a full view of your reddening-face now.
“R-Reward?”
Bakugou’s lips found their way to yours within seconds, and you were breathless. It was cute and short, nothing too extreme since the two of you were still in class, thankfully everyone had cleared out.
Bakugou pulled away and rubbed his lips together before running his tongue across his bottom lip.
“Vanilla chapstick this time?”
“It’s actually birthday cake-”
“Shut up.”
Bakugou pressed his lips back to yours, missing the feeling of your lips on his. It was such an amazing feeling, one he’d wanted to feel for what felt like ages. He’d dreamt about kissing you from the week he met you.
“Babe, we’re gonna get-”
“Hey! Go to the dorms.” Mr. Aizawa groaned, trudging past the open classroom door, cocooned in his sleeping bag like a caterpillar.
“Caught.” You finished your sentence, Bakugou’s face bright red.

Love at First Sight
Hey! This is my first fic so please don't come at me for the absolutely horribleness of it bc I suck at writing. (Also if you notice mistaken in the beginning its bc I’m writing on my phone bc I’m to lazy to get my laptop)
Category: FLUFF ABSOLUTE FLUFF
Warnings: None (In this part.)
Spencer Reid x Fem! reader
A/N: Hey! This is a totally fluff slow burn. There will be multiple parts bc I suck that way. Enjoy!
Part 2
You stop right outside the doors, an old gym bag and a cardboard box in hand. You were totally qualified for this job, a masters in criminal psychology and a PhD in forensic science. Not to mention your IQ of 185 and photographic, more properly eidetic, memory. Yet as you stood outside the glass doors of the bullpen, your heart was racing and you felt like you were going to pass out. As you were about to open the doors you hear a voice and a hand grabs it for you.
"Hey, careful there, might drop you stuff." You look up to see a tall, dark, muscular man staring down at you. You smile at him and nod.
"Thanks." He nods as you walk through the doors. "Hey, do you know where Agent Hotchners office is?" You turn around to face him as you ask your question.
"You must be Emily's replacement. Just up the stairs, his door is open. Good luck." As you flash your smile as a thank you, he turns away to his desk and you walk up the stairs, knocking at the door in front of you.
"Come in." As he looks up at you, he shows a slight smile but not much. "Ah, SSA Y/L/N. Please sit down, you can put your stuff on the floor next to you." You set the box and bag inches away from the chair that you sit in. "Now, normally I would brief you on the job, but as you worked in the New York office before and we have a case, that will have to be put on hold. Welcome to the team, you will fit in nicely." You smile at him as he stands up to lead you to where they would brief the case.
You have finally started to calm down, but as you walk through the whole team stares at you, apart from a man sitting reading a book.
"Good morning, sorry for the early start. This is SSA Y/N Y/L/N. She will be starting today." As you bite on you cheek a kind voice speaks up.
"Hi, I'm Jennifer but you can call we JJ. Welcome to the team." She gives you a warm welcoming smile and you return with yours.
"Derek Morgan." It's the man who opened the door for me just minutes ago. "Good to put a name to a face." Your smile doesn't fade, you feel welcomed for once, and thankfully it's not a boys club.
"David Rossi." You look up excited at the man introducing himself.
"Wait, really? I have read your books, you are a great writer." He chuckles as you look at him, remembering the lines from his book.
Before he can say anything else a peppy, bright colored women steps in. "Well hello! You must be Y/N. Good to meet you! I'm Penelope Garcia but you can really call me whatever. I think you will make wonder boy over there have a run for his money." You look at her confused. "Sorry dear, I may have read up on you, I do it for every new addition to our team. You laugh a little as she says this.
"Baby girl, what do you mean by Reid is gonna have a run for is money?" She looks at him.
"Oh, I forgot to tell you guys. Y/N over here is incredibly smart. What an IQ of 185 and eidetic memory? And I think it said you can read 16,000 words per minute, right?" You smile and nod. You have always been very proud of your gifts but never boasted about them, that's unkind.
"Well well well pretty boy," The man reading the book finally looks up as Derek ruffles his hair. "Looks like you might need to move aside as resident genius. Go ahead, tell the girl about yourself." He looks up at you. You try not to blush as he looks at you, the most handsome man you have ever seen.
"Uh hi. I'm Dr. Reid. Spencer. I have an IQ of 187, an eidetic memory, and can read 20,000 words per minute." You two are so alike but so different. Your talents are similar but your personalities are definitely different. He barely looks up from his book and speaks softly, while you look people in the eyes when talking and are a loud talker, something you need to work on.
"Well, I guess you guys are right. Watch out Dr. Reid, I might just steal the spotlight." In his eyes you did that the moment you walked in. He had looked up for a moment but got shy when he saw you. And when he heard how Penelope had spoke of you, he could barely contain a smile.
"Ok, Garcia go ahead." You sit down next to JJ as she points to the empty seat next to her.
"Portland Oregon. A dj name Jay Johnson was on his way home after leaving the club. He was cutting through an alley when bludgeoned by a club. He was stabbed 31 times and his watch, cell, and computer were stolen. That was 2 days ago." As she continues you read the case file in front of you, quickly getting in all the details.
"Early this morning a Karen Heywood a 30 year old nurse, she died during a home invasion being stabbed 40 times after being bludgeoned by weapons of opportunity." You look at her.
"The file says that there were 8 weapons."
"So we are looking for a group?" Rossi speaks up.
"Most likely, we only have 9 hours until night fall. We can discuss more on the jet. Wheels up in 10." You stand up as Hotch finishes talking. JJ grabs your arm.
"Hey, slow down. Sit." You look at her confused and slowly sit down. "I saw you blushing at Reid." Your jaw drops as she says this.
"I was not!" She looks at you brows raised and smiling.
"Don't even deny it. I saw it with my own eyes, but be warned, Derek and Garcia will make fun of you if you don't stop being so obvious about it." I smile and walk away to go get my stuff only to see Derek carrying it to a desk.
"Oh. Thanks." He smiles at you.
"No problem kid." You grab your bag and head to the jet following the rest.
***
After Hotch finishes and we are all left to do what we want I go to sit by Spencer noticing the book he is reading. "Do you like Arthur Conan Doyle?" He is reading 'The Narrative of John Smith' a classic.
"Hm? Oh, uh yeah. You know his books?" You smile and nod.
"I love them. My favorite writings of his are the Sherlock Holmes ones, I'm a kid at heart, what can I say." He laughs a little closing his book. "Oh I didn't mean to interrupt you. You can keep reading. I was actually going to come over and read too I just-" He stops you talking.
"No, no you're fine. I was just finishing it anyways." You smile at him, your face starting to burn. "I was going to get some coffee, do you want anything?" You nod.
"A green tea would be nice."
"You know green tea is really beneficial. It helps improve brain function, helps prevent cancers and type 2 diabetes, can help with weight loss, sorry. I tend to ramble." You smile at him.
"No, don't worry. I do the same. Continue. Please." He smiles and continues but you don't listen. You're to busy looking at his features. Beautiful honey gold eyes that could put you in a trance. His hair was wavy but well kept. His cheek bones and jaw were strong. All you could think about was him.
"Y/N?" Oh shit, you had been practically ignoring him. "Are you ok?" You nod.
"Yeah sorry, just spaced off." He lost his smile. "Oh, Spen- Dr. Reid, it's not you. I just tend to space off a lot, ask any of my friends and family." His smile came back to his face. It's your favorite thing about him.
"I will got get you that tea. Honey?" You nod.

"Step five. Let her know you're Spider-Man. I don't know how, but she'll have to know." Peter muttered to himself as he silently read step five that was on the recruiting method which was pinned on the bulletin board in his room above his desk. For the next three days since Friday night, a.k.a the night he did step four, he had been reading and re-reading step five over and over.
After all, telling Y/N that he was Spider-Man was different and he had never done it before. Ned, aunt May, and MJ found out and figured it out on their own. "At this point, Y/N may have already figured out." Peter told himself, but he immediately shook his head.
However, it was impossible for Y/N to figure out because she and him weren't really close before. Therefore, Y/N has never really paid attention to Peter. Y/N may have picked up a few of MJ's traits here and there, but she never got MJ's way of observing. Again, Peter asked Scott for help when he took a break from patrolling on a Monday afternoon.
"Hey, what's up, Petey?" Scott smiled as he answered the phone. He munched on some chips while watching television. Peter scrunched up his face because it sounded like some weird ASMR mukbang video on YouTube.
"Yeah, hi. I need your help again." Peter said as he lifted his mask until his mouth so that he could speak properly and so that he could be understood.
Scott put his phone away from his ear and looked at Luis and grinned, "Hey dude, guess what."
"What?" Luis smiled.
"I'm talking to Spider-Man on the phone!" Scott bragged. "We're, like, besties now. He asks me for help. Like, I'm so honored! So, so honored."
If Peter didn't have any steps to be followed or if he weren't recruiting anyone, he would've laughed at Scott. But now, he didn't. He was desperate for help. He didn't know what to do.
"Um, Mr. Lang? You still there?" Peter asked.
Scott quickly pressed the phone on his ear again and said, "Yeah! And don't call me Mr. Lang. I sound old or whatever. Call me Scotty!"
"That sounds kind of weird." Peter admitted. "I'll, uh, I'll call you Scott instead."
"Sure thing, spider-bro!" Scott said excitedly as he looked at Luis, who gave him two thumbs ups. "Anyway, what did you need help with?"
"I don't know how to tell Y/N that I'm Spider-Man." Peter said in a hushed voice, afraid that someone might hear him despite sitting on the rooftop.
Scott nodded and hummed, "Well, I don't know what to say. I guess, just ease your way through it before actually telling her."
"How?" Peter questioned.
"I don't know." Scott shrugged. "Drop hints for a few days or something and when the time is right, just say it. Tell her."
"Scott, that's genius!" Peter grinned. "Thank you!"
"No problem, Spidey!" Scott chuckled. "I'll talk to you soon, okay?"
"Okay. Bye! Tha-"
Scott hung up and put his phone on the coffee table. Luis was shocked, "I can't believe you hung up on Spider-Man."
"I mean, I have to act chill, you know? I don't want to let him know that I'm freaking out!" Scott shrieked. "Like, he called ME!"
"Yeah, that's awesome!" Luis laughed and gave Scott a high five. Meanwhile, Peter was already planning on what hints to drop before telling Y/N about his secret.

Tuesday
Today's the first day that Peter would showcase his spider powers to Y/N. He didn't know which skill to show first. Although, that question was already answered when Y/N walked in school pushing a very very big box full of different items.
Peter jogged up to her and he said, "Good morning, Y/N!"
She gave him a sweet smile as she wiped her sweat with the back of her hand. She mumbled a small 'good morning' before pushing the big heavy box again.
"Allow me." Peter stopped her as he picked up the big heavy box with ease. Y/N looked at him in shock.
"Peter, oh my god." Y/N said. "Where the hell were you when I needed you? We literally live near each other."
"Sorry about that." Peter said as the two of them walked to her locker. "I woke up late and I went straight here. I was surprised that I got here first and when you entered the school with a big heavy box, I figured out why."
Y/N chuckled and opened her locker. Peter looked down at the loosely closed box and was able to take a peek at the things inside it. Peter furrowed his eyebrows in confusion and looked at Y/N, "Um, what's all this, anyway? Are you running away or something?" He joked.
"No!" Y/N laughed and shook her head. "Those are all the old things from my community theater. I figured I could take it and bring it here and donate it to the theater club. Plus, the glee club need props too."
Peter nodded and pursed his lips, "Right, right. I forgot that you joined all of the clubs."
"Not all. I didn't join the cheer squad." Y/N smiled politely before closing her locker.
"Why didn't you?" Peter asked. In his opinion, not that anyone was asking, she would be a perfect fit in the cheer squad.
"I didn't want to risk my power for memory." Y/N whispered. "I can't touch the ground directly, remember? What if I'm on the bottom of the pyramid and the rocks start forming some memory on the field or something? I can't risk that. No one else knows about my powers except for you and Eunice."
'And the Avengers.' Peter thought. He nodded and said, "Yeah, that's understandable. Anyway, do we head off to the auditorium first before going to class? Or do we take this big ol' box with us to history?"
"Auditorium, please." Y/N smiled.
"Lead the way, Barbra Streisand." Peter chuckled as they walked together.
"You know Barbra Streisand?" She asked with a laugh.
"Of course, I do! I mean, not personally, but I do know her. I've seen her movie with Seth Rogen and her carpool karaoke with James Corden."
"That rhymed! Are you a rapper now?" Y/N laughed.
"Who knows?" Peter shrugged. "Maybe I'm the next Eminem." He joked.
The pair arrived at the auditorium and she made sure they placed the box on stage in the middle for the theater club moderator to see. Y/N pulled out a paper from her backpack and wrote down: My community theater decided to get rid of our old props. I figured I should donate them here instead of throwing it away. Sincerely, Y/N Y/L/N.
Y/N looked through her bag and pouted when she realized that she didn't have any tape or anything that could stick. Peter saw this and remembered that he put some leftover web fluid in a container in his backpack.
"I, uh, I have something sticky." Peter blurted out as he quickly looked inside his backpack for the container.
"Pete, you're my friend and all, but that sounded wrong." Y/N giggled. Peter's face flushed red, but didn't pay attention to it as he handed her the container. It was in an old Elmer's glue container.
Y/N thanked him before squeezing out the 'glue' at the back of the paper. Her face lit up when she didn't see the typical white color of the glue. She was surprised that it was transparent. "Okay, tell me where you shop for school supplies. This transparent glue is my new everything!" She said as she gave back the 'glue' and pasted the paper on the front side of the box.
"Uh, I didn't buy it. I actually made them." Peter said, which wasn't a lie. He really did make it, it just wasn't glue, that's all.
Y/N nodded. She was impressed. She grabbed her backpack and said, "Can you make me some?"
"Sure!"
The pair walked out of the auditorium in silence and the silence continued on even when they reached the classroom. It wasn't an awkward silence like before. It was comfortable.
"Peter?" She called his attention as they sat down in their respective seats.
"Hm?" He hummed.
"Thanks for carrying the box. If I had known you were that strong, I would've called you before I left my apartment." Y/N chuckled.
"No problem." Peter smiled. "I'm really glad I could help. Helping people is a part of me." He hinted, as if his super strength and web fluid weren't enough hints.
"You know, Spider-Man is like that." Y/N smiled. "That's why I admire him so much. I just wish I could know who he is."
"I know right? Same here." Flash said from behind her. Y/N and Peter turned to look at him as Flash shrugged.
Flash looked at Peter and nodded at him, "'Sup, dickwad?"
Peter gave him a thumbs up before he and Y/N turned around to wait for the teacher.
-
Wednesday
Y/N came to school that day wearing the most early 2000's look ever. She also wore pink as an homage to the most famous Mean Girls quote, "on Wednesdays, we wear pink". She wore a slightly fitted, long sleeved, pink shirt with a pink skirt and heels. She was dressed as Karen Smith. MJ, Ned, and Peter were surprised with her outfit.
"What's with the Mean Girls get up?" Ned asked with an amused smile on his face.
"Ned's right." MJ said as she looked at Y/N up and down. "I've never seen you wear pink before, but you actually look good in it."
Peter nodded, "Yeah, I agree."
"No mean remarks, Peter?" MJ asked and eyed him suspiciously. Peter just shook his head before he smiled at Y/N, who smiled back at him.
Later that day during lunch, Y/N was walking to her seat when she slipped on the floor. With Peter's enhanced reflexes, he immediately caught Y/N before she fell and he was able to catch her tray and her food.
Y/N gasped and she looked at Peter with wide eyes, "How did you do that?! You're so cool!"
Peter shrugged as he set down the tray before helping Y/N sit down so that she wouldn't slip again. MJ and Ned looked at each other because both of them knew that Peter was up to something and they had to corner him and ask him about it.
When the day ended, Y/N had to go to the auditorium for theater club. Finding Peter alone by his locker, Ned and MJ immediately cornered Peter. When Peter turned around, he was surprised to see MJ and Ned.
"Um... hey guys." Peter said.
"You're being really obvious, Peter." Ned said.
MJ nodded, "Yeah. I thought you being Spider-Man was supposed to be a secret. Why are you being obvious?"
Peter sighed. There was no choice but to come clean, "I need to drop hints about my powers to tell her that I'm Spider-Man."
"Why do you need to tell her?" MJ asked.
Peter opened his mouth to say something, but he immediately closed it. MJ didn't know about Y/N's powers and it wasn't his secret to tell. As much as his feelings were complicated towards Y/N, he would never tell her secret to anyone else. He wouldn't do that to anyone, even Flash Thompson. Thankfully, he thought of a quick cover up.
"Because I want her to know. We're friends after all." Peter reasoned.
-
Thursday
When Peter arrived at Y/N's apartment to pick her up like he did every morning, it was announced that classes were cancelled because of the storm.
"Peter, why don't you stay here for a while? You and Y/N can hang out here while I go to work." Eunice offered.
Y/N smiled, "Yeah, Pete! We can bake or something."
Peter shrugged, "I suppose I could stay." He pulled out his phone to text aunt May that he'd be staying at Y/N's apartment until it was safe to go out.
Eunice eventually went to work an hour later and the two teens were doing different things. Peter made himself comfortable in the couch as he watched Mean Girls. Y/N was busy in the kitchen as she cooked brunch for the two of them.
The two of them didn't know or didn't notice that it was all domestic at that moment. They failed to notice that they both looked good together. At one point, Peter paused the movie and stood up to stretch. He walked to the kitchen and watched her.
"You could've told me that you were cooking. I could've helped you." Peter said. He grabbed plates and set the table. It was the least he could do.
"Nonsense! You're a guest, Peter." Y/N smiled. "I'm done, anyway." She brought the food to the table and sat down. Peter sat down across from her and they ate in comfortable silence.
"This is really good." Peter said as he broke the quiet ambiance of the dining area. She grinned and thanked him.
"I have to tell you something, Y/N." Peter gulped. He figured it was time to tell her. They were alone together and neither of them could walk out due to the storm.
"What is it?"
Peter took a deep breath and said, "I'm Spider-Man."
Y/N stared at him and smiled, "That's cute, Pete. I'm Spider-Man too. Anyone can wear a mask."
"No, no, no. I mean it, Y/N." Peter sighed. "I really am Spider-Man."
"How am I supposed to believe you, Peter?" She raised an eyebrow.
"One, because I believed you when you told me about your powers. Two, I lowkey showed you." Peter said.
"I used my super strength to pick up the heavy box, I used my web fluid for your paper and told you it was glue, I told you that I loved helping people-"
"Helping people isn't a power, Peter. It's a choice and the web fluid thing sounds wrong."
"I also used my enhanced reflexes and agility to catch you when you slipped at the cafeteria. I'm Spider-Man." Peter added. Y/N stared at him and said nothing. "Please say something, Y/N."
Y/N blinked a few times and cleared her throat, "Well, thanks for telling me. I'm just mostly embarrassed because you know about my big crush on Spider-Man and YOU ARE Spider-Man."
"Oh, right." Peter blushed. "I forgot about that."
"And please continue to forget about it." Y/N chuckled lightly. "Anyway, let's talk about something else. What's it like being the friendly neighborhood hero?"
"Oh, you have no idea how hard it is. But I love my job." Peter said.
The rest of the day was spent with Peter talking about his patrolling stories and Y/N showing off her powers and Peter also showing Y/N his wall-crawling ability. He even showed her his web-shooters.
"I can show you my web-shooters!" Peter said excitedly.
"You know, no matter what you call it, it really sounds wrong." Y/N laughed. "It's like you're going to show me your penis or something."
"I never thought I'd hear you say 'penis'." Peter looked at her.
She shrugged, "What can I say? I'm surprising."
"That's true." Peter nodded in agreement as they smiled at each other.

I’ve Got You
This is for the wonderful ray of sunshine that is @scribblepigeon as she won 1st Prize in the competition I ran a while back! I’m so sorry this has taken so long, but I really hope you enjoy it!
Summary: after the mess of the Blackwater ferry job, you and the gang have taken refuge in Colter, and you’re feeling useless. Determined to prove your worth to the gang, you decide to scout a nearby O’Driscoll camp. When your mission doesn’t go to plan, it’s down to Charles to bring you home.
Warnings: one use of a racial slur, angst, mentions of gore.
Pairing: Charles Smith x Fem!Reader
Word count: 3,191 (yeahhhh I went way over the word count, sorry)
If you had hated stitching before, it was nothing compared to now. The cold had rendered your unskilled fingers practically useless. You couldn’t feel a thing as your fingertips gripped the needle, poking it idly through bits of old fabric in a crude attempt to make a blanket. Your breath misted in front of you as you sighed loudly. Tilly looked up.
“Having fun?” she smiled sympathetically. You rolled your eyes, shaking your head as you rubbed the bridge of your nose. She nodded grimly. “You and me both.”
It was only until the storm cleared, you thought to yourself over and over. Just a few days. Maybe even less than that. Perhaps even tomorrow, you’d all be on your way to pastures new – to warm air, to blue sky, to grass! If there was one thing you missed as much as going to sleep without shivering, it was greenery. Charles had promised to take you out walking as soon as you got out of the mountains. You knew he was probably just being polite but you still smiled whenever you thought about it. You always smiled when you thought of Charles. He’d been so gentle with you right from the start, always greeting you with a kind word. On the long wagon journeys you’d sit beside him and watch the rolling landscape change, in comfortable silence. Sometimes you’d let your head slump against his shoulder, but he never seemed to mind. He’d always tuck a blanket around you.
“That blanket won’t make itself, Miss L/N.” Susan called from across the room, dragging you out of your daydream. There was frustration in her voice but it was strained, like she couldn’t quite find the energy to be truly angry with you. The past few days had taken its toll on you all.
All that money, lost, sitting somewhere in a town where you’d be shot on sight. You’d experienced disappointing jobs before but this felt cruel. Just as you’d let yourself start to dream, the world had closed in on you once again. Dutch had placed his hand on your shoulder before you rode to Blackwater, saying something about being rewarded for your trials, like that ferry held the rightful prize for all the gang had endured. It must have been even worse for the others, the ones who had been with Dutch for years, even decades. You had only been around for a month or so. Jenny had found you cowering behind a saloon, drunk and alone and afraid. She had been so kind to you, a true friend, and now she was gone. So was Davey, so were Mac and Sean for all you knew. Even John was missing. It was cruelty, plain and simple. Your chest tightened as you felt the threat of tears in your eyes.
You felt useless. It didn’t help that barely anyone was speaking to you properly. You knew it was because there was so much to do, but the sting of people walking past you without even looking you in the eye was hard to ignore. You hadn’t even seen Dutch and Hosea today; they were always holed up pouring over maps or out scouting the surroundings. Arthur and Javier had ventured into the mountains to look for John. And here you were, sewing, if you could even call it that. You held up the blanket, which looked more like a long scarf. Jack looked up from the fire and frowned puzzledly at your creation. You smiled, wrapping it around your neck.
“Very modern, don’t you think?” you asked, striking a pose. Jack giggled.
“Miss L/N, the sooner you fashion something useable, the sooner we can all get warmer.”
“Yes, Ms. Grimshaw.” you mumbled. This wretched needle was starting to aggravate you. It seemed to transcend its form to become a vicious little insect intent on ramming itself into your exposed flesh. You winced, sucking on your index finger.
“Now, that’s a sight I could get used to.” Micah purred from his corner. You pulled your finger out of your mouth, glaring. He smirked, taking a drag of his cigarette.
“Mr Bell, if you’ve nothing meaningful to say may I suggest taking yourself somewhere else?” said Susan, her brow furrowing. Micah placed his hand on his heart in mock-offence.
“Is that any way to speak to one of your own? Besides, I’ve been breaking my back lately. As I see it, I’m owed a pretty view or two.”
Susan opened her mouth to retaliate but you stood up, throwing down your sewing.
“The prettiest thing in this room will be your blood on my fist if you don’t shut up, Micah.” you hissed, your blood boiling. Micah leant back in his chair, taking another drag.
“Vicious little thing, aintcha? Don’t let me distract you from your housework now, Miss. Gotta earn your keep somehow.”
“I’ve earnt my keep, Bell. You know that.”
“Oh, sure. We’re all so grateful for having to save your ass back in Blackwater. Hell, if it wasn’t for you losing your nerve maybe we’d still have that money.”
You were breathing heavily now, your fists bunched by your sides. You knew it wasn’t true, not really. He was just choosing the exact words to get under your skin. But God, it was working.
“Leave her alone, Micah.” Karen snapped from her corner. Micah turned to look at her, sneering.
“I wish we had! I know that redskin bastard’s gettin’ sweet on her, but even he can see she’s a waste of air.”
That was enough for you. You turned on your heel and stormed out of the cabin before anyone could see your tears. You crunched through the snow, your head fuzzy, barely hearing Lenny when he asked if you were alright. Leaning against the cold wood of the stables you shut your eyes, willing the sobs away.
It was true about Blackwater. Only minutes after the job went sour you’d misfired and almost gotten yourself killed, only to take a nasty fall and hurt your ankle so badly you could barely limp out of the room. Charles had gone back for you. You could remember how easily he lifted you up and carried you to safety, running as you shot your pistol over his shoulder at the advancing lawmen. I’ve got you, he kept whispering, long after the gunfire had ceased and your heart had settled. Even when he looked down and saw his wounded hand, bloodied and charred. Still he held onto you, kneeling on the yellowed grass with you in his lap. If you focused on how warm his chest felt, you could get the image out of your head of Heidi McCourt’s brains spilling over the ferry deck.
“Y/N?”
Charles voice, soft and concerned, pulled you out of your memories and back into the snow. Your eyes snapped open and you saw him in front of you, his hat pulled low over his face, his arm cradling his wounded hand. Your stomach twisted with guilt.
“Are you alright?” he asked suspiciously. You nodded too quickly, your cheeks flushing. He kept looking at you, regarding you, and for once you wished he wouldn’t.
“Get yourself back inside, you’ll catch your death out here,” he continued, gesturing to the darkening sky. You shrugged, your eyes falling to the ground.
“I’m fine, Charles. I just wanted to be alone for a minute.”
Charles paused for a few moments, as if contemplating saying something more, but he turned away.
“Charles?”
You spoke before you could stop yourself. He looked back at you, his eyes soft.
“I…I’m sorry.” you stammered.
“Why are you sorry?”
“Your hand. If I hadn’t…if you hadn’t…I’m sorry.”
Charles stared at you, letting out a long sigh.
“I would never have left you there,” he said softly. “never.”
You took a deep breath.
“You wouldn’t have had to go back for me if I wasn’t a…a waste of air.”
“A waste of air? Who’s been saying that to you?”
“It doesn’t matter,” you snapped, shaking your head. “it’s the truth. All I want to do is show you people that I’m worth having around. But no, the good Lord has decided I’m to be cursed with a life on the run with none of the skills to make it work. And…and I can’t sew!”
“Can’t sew? What are you talking about?”
“Can’t sew, can’t shoot straight, can’t even die when I’m supposed to.”
“Stop.” Charles growled, his eyes narrowing. Your tears slipped from your cheeks and dropped to the ground, melting the snow in tiny circles by your feet.
“Y/N, for better or worse, we’re all still here.” Charles continued, his voice strained.
“I…”
“You’re feeling the weight of all this hell, same as the rest of. But I want to keep everyone around for as long as possible, you included. So just…just look after yourself. Please, Y/N.”
You gripped your elbows, chewing your lower lip. Charles nodded slowly as he turned to walk back to his cabin.
“And don’t venture out, at least not far,” he said grimly, over his shoulder. “I’ve heard there might be O’Driscolls out around these parts. Out near some lake, I heard.”
O’Driscolls. You hadn’t experienced a run-in with them yet, but from the way Dutch talked about them it wouldn’t be long before you did. After all the everyone had been through recently, a night raid by a rival gang might have tipped things over the edge. Your palms felt sweaty despite the icy air as you contemplated the idea that had settled in your mind. Scouting from afar wouldn’t be difficult, you knew that. You were quiet, and the increasing gloom of the evening would aid your mission.
And you couldn’t stop thinking about the way Charles had looked at you, like you were a frightened little animal on the side of the road. You were sick to your core of pity. Of being told to be safe, to take it easy, to look after yourself. Of watching the boys ride out together every day whilst you huddled by the fire and stitched blankets of no use to man nor beast. You had so much energy to use up and no way to utilise it that didn’t result in strange looks or Dutch barking at you to get back into the warm. You didn’t sleep well, waking up multiple times a night only to shiver and stare at the ceiling. As darkness fell gradually around you now, leaning against the stables as you listened to Pearson grumbling at his workstation and watched the shadows in the windows, you figured you were better off going in search of a fabled O’Driscoll camp than laying still until morning.
And then you were silently un-hitching your horse, stroking his nose and cooing gently as he whinnied against the cold evening air, mounting up and trotting out of Colter before anyone could see you.
The silence of the mountains was deafening. You strained against the biting wind and tried to ignore the primal fear that simmered inside you when you thought of the wolves out there, waiting for an easy supper. Instead you focused on the camp you were searching for. You had seen maps of this area before and knew there was a lake nearby, one with some abandoned structures that could serve as easy shelter for a band of outlaws. A short wave of pride washed over you as you realised that you could do this. You could do this. You could be an asset. A quick scout of the camp, and returning home with vital information that could even save the day. With some soothing words to your horse, you pressed quietly on into the gloom. You were riding for over an hour before you saw lights in the distance. Finding yourself atop a ridge looking down at the camp below, you squatted in the snow and narrowed your eyes, picking out the dark shapes of who you assumed were O’Driscolls, clutching rifles as they stood guard, laughing, squabbling, drinking. Their voices cut through the night like daggers.
You slowly crept along the ridge, making mental notes of the various buildings you saw, the numbers of men. There were a lot of them, more than you anticipated, and your mouth felt dry. When you felt the presence of someone behind you it took every fibre of effort not to scream.
“Stop…stop right there!”
His voice was as shaky as the wind as you turned slowly to face him, your hands raising above your head.
“D-don’t…don’t try anything! I know how to shoot!”
The man who pointed a pistol at you didn’t look much older than you, his eyes wide with concern under his hat.
“I…” your words failed you as panic rose in your gut. This nervous creature didn’t seem much of a threat, but his camp was right beneath you. You cursed yourself for your carelessness.
“You…you shouldn’t be here! Who are you?” he demanded, his voice slightly stronger now. You shook your head, breathing rapidly. In a moment of blind adrenaline, you reached down to your pistol. And that’s when he shot you.
The bullet hit you in the shin, nestling itself in your flesh with a sickening bang. You screamed, dropping to the ground and howling in pain as you grabbed at your leg. The man hurried to your side, gabbling with panic.
“Oh god, I’m sorry! I’m so sorry, miss!”
You couldn’t do anything except continue to wail and sob, oblivious to the noise you were making. The man shook his head, his hand on your shoulder. You pulled away, suddenly furious.
“You’re…you’re…sorry?!”
“Miss, I truly am. I didn’t mean to hurt you! I just…I just panicked!”
“Damn you…”
“Miss? Miss!”
You stopped cursing and looked at him, seeing the real fear in his eyes.
“Miss, they’ll kill you if they find you. Maybe worse. You have to get out of here, and fast. They’re not stupid enough to ignore a gunshot this close to camp.”
“And why…why wouldn’t you hand me over? You’re one of them, right?”
The man stopped and looked you dead in the eye.
“I ain’t no O’Driscoll, Miss.”
There were a few seconds of silence before you let yourself believe him. He helped you to your feet.
“You got a horse, Miss?”
“Sure. He’s close.”
You whistled a few times, and before long your horse cantered into view. The man guided you to his side and steadied your feet into the stirrups.
“Ride hard,” he said sternly. “don’t look back once, you understand? Get out of here.”
You barely had time to gasp your thanks before he struck the rear of your horse and watched you gallop off into the night.
Blood flowed steadily from your wound and into your boot, its sticky warmth combining with the pain and making you feel increasingly nauseous. You felt waves of dizziness as you thought of how foolish you had been, how selfish. You thought of Charles, only this time you didn’t smile. All you could picture was his face when he saw you wounded, again. Beads of sweat trickled down from your forehead and mixed with the tears on your cheeks.
In all the confusion, all the pain, you didn’t have time to register which way you were going. The night swirled around you as you rode aimlessly, the pain in your leg throbbing with every bend in the landscape. Eventually you slowed your hose to a halt, breaking down completely and sobbing into his mane. You didn’t know how long you lay there, half passed out, half asleep, half dead. When you heard Charles’ voice you were certain you were dreaming.
“Y/N?”
His voice echoed through the trees. You were dead, you thought, you must be dead. But then you heard him again.
“Y/N!”
His arms, his strong shoulders, the warmth of his chest as he lifted you down from your horse and cradled you against him.
“Oh, Y/N, what have you done?”
His hand rested on your bloodied shin and you sobbed into him, exhaustion mixing with relief and shame. He pressed his lips to your forehead as he lifted you up and carried you to Taima, who was waiting patiently as she always did. When he had you settled on her saddle he went back for your horse, attaching the reins firmly to Taima so they could ride back together. He sat behind you, letting you loll back against him.
“I’ve got you,” he whispered. “I’ve got you.”
Lights, voices, hurried words and scrabbling hands lifting you down and wrapping you in what felt like a thousand blankets. Water, hot whiskey, bandages and searing pain and more tears, and Charles holding your hand long after the bullet fragments had been removed from your leg. Falling in and out of sleep, waking briefly to be scolded by Dutch and Susan. It all felt like a painting, like a song, something to be observed, not lived. And yet here you were, saved both by a stranger and the man who held your heart.
You walked again when the snow finally began to ease. Pale sunlight trickled through the window of your cabin, teasing you with it’s meagre warmth. You shakily stumbled to the door, peering out at the tiny town as the gang went about their business.
“Ah, ah! Absolutely not. Sit down before you fall down.” Charles smiled, wandering over to where you stood in the doorway. You rolled your eyes, giving him a little push.
“Sorry. I couldn’t resist watching everyone else break their backs.” you grinned, watching Bill topple over some stacked crates with an almighty clatter. Charles looked at you, his eyes warm, his face softer than you’d seen for a long time.
“I still owe you that walk when we get to pastures new.” he said. “Can’t let all that greenery go unexplored, especially now you’re a regular little adventurer.”
“Very funny!”
“I mean it.” he said solemnly. You peered at him.
“What you did…it was stupid. Reckless. Foolish. And if you ever try anything like that again I don’t know what I’ll do. But…you did good.”
“…really?”
“Really. Even Dutch was impressed. We’d never have known how many of those bastards were camped out there if it wasn’t for you. Now we can ride out knowing what’s coming.”
“Charles?”
“Hm?”
“Why did you come looking for me?”
Charles sighed, wrapping an arm around your shoulders.
“I saw how upset you were back at the stables, but I didn’t help. And I couldn’t stop thinking about what you said – that you couldn’t even die when you were supposed to. The way I see it, there isn’t any way we’re supposed to die. We have a right to decide when and where, in a way. It’s all in the choices we make, in the choices others make. And my choice was to find you.”
He placed two fingers under your chin and tilted your face up to look at him. When he kissed you it felt like coming home.
“I’ve got you,” he whispered. “I’ve got you.”

In The Desert (Charles Smith x reader)
A/N: I want/need to write more Charles Smith fics! I love this man so much!
Warnings: none, pure fluff!, Charles dances!!!
Word Count: 1.3k
Summary: On the trip back to camp, you get distracted by a thunderstorm.
***
Charles turned his head to look over his shoulder, concerned that you were falling behind and you were out of eyesight.
Your horse had slowed down to a slow walk and you were gazing up at the sky.
“We aren’t going to make it to camp by nightfall if you keep watching the sky.” He brought Taima to a stop to wait for you to catch up.
You didn’t notice this, too busy and enchanted by the gray clouds circling overhead. Your horse bumped into Taima, making the paint whinny and put her ears back. You moved your horse away from Taima, apologizing to her.
“The clouds are pretty like this.” Your eyes met his, a little smile playing on your lips. “I could watch it for days. Do we have to go back to camp right now?”
“They’re expecting us before dark.”
You frowned at his answer.
“Do you have something else in mind?” Charles tilted his head to the side.
You bit the inside of your cheek.
“We should camp out here for the night. Just the two of us.”
The thought made him smile, but it didn’t last long.
“It isn’t very safe out here at night, doll.”
“But just think about it, Charles.” You slipped down from your horse, keeping the reins in your hand as you moved towards Charles. You placed your hand on his knee. “We can stay out here just for the night. No one bothering me about chores. No one bothering you with stupid jobs to do. No Karen being nosey. No Micah or Bill to sour your mood. Just me and you and that storm that’s comin’ our way.”
That smile that was on your lips drove Charles crazy. It was sweet and tender but also wild and adventurous. You craved a little bit of excitement.
He watched you for a few moments, then looked in the direction the storm was coming from.
“Okay.” He let out a soft breath.
Your smile grew. You squeezed his knee and moved to mount your horse.
“But only if we make camp against a cliffside.”
“Deal!”
***
A little while later, Charles found a place he deemed safe enough for the night. It was a little spot nestled cozily into the cliffside. This would give you a little extra cover from the wind if it were to get too strong. And with where the camp was, it would be hard to spot from the road.
While Charles set up the tent, you brushed the horses down and made sure they were okay for the night.
The first few droplets of water to hit your skin made you freeze. Had you really felt it? Or was that just your imagination?
A few moments passed and a drop hit you on the cheek. You moved away from camp, leaving the horses and Charles as you ventured away from the cliffside.
Rain began to pour from a dark cloud just above you. You put your head back and closed your eyes, bringing your hands up to feel the rain.
Hearing the rain against the tent, Charles peeked his head out to look for you.
“Y/N, the tent is ready-,” He stopped talking when his eyes fell on you. There you stood soaked to the bone in the rain with your eyes closed and a big grin on your lips.
Charles stayed there at the edge of the tent for a few moments, admiring you. It never failed to surprise him how mesmerizing you were.
You could feel eyes on you. Knowing he was the one watching you, you turned your head to look at Charles.
“You’re crazy.” He said, unable to hide the smile on his mouth.
“I can’t hear you over all the rain!” You giggled, brushing your hair back out of your eyes. You could hear him, but you were just teasing him.
“You’re crazy!”
“I know.” You bit your bottom lip, shifting your weight from one foot to the other. “Come dance with me, Charles.” You held your hand out for him.
He hesitated, eyes flickering around the large expanse of desert.
Charles moved from the tent, groaning a little at the feeling of his clothes almost instantly becoming soaking wet with the rain.
He placed his hand in yours, pulling you into his arms.
“Was this your plan all along?” One of his arms slipped around your waist, drawing you as close to him as possible. “To get me to dance with you in the rain?”
“I’ll never tell.” You leaned up on your toes to kiss him. Some of the pieces of his dark hair that were shorter clung to his wet forehead. You reached up to brush them back with the rest of his hair.
Charles put his arm around your waist, pulling your body into his. His opposite hand clasped yours and he began to sway the both of you from side to side.
“What if one of us gets sick?” He asked, his mouth close enough to your ear that you could hear him over the rain. You giggled.
“I think we’ll be okay.”
Charles dipped you down, a smile tugging at his lips as you laughed.
“I also think we should take trips like this more often.”
“You think so?” Charles raised a brow.
“I do. We deserve more time alone. Everyone at camp is just…. Obnoxious. Well, not everyone. Not Arthur or Sadie.”
“Not most of the time.”
“You think everyone is obnoxious.” You reached up on your toes to kiss him. “Can I dip you?”
“Oh, I don’t think you can dip me, doll.”
“I think I can.”
Thunder rumbled across the sky. You stopped for a moment to watch the lightning web across the dark clouds.
“We shouldn’t be standing out here in the open.”
“We aren’t standing.” Your hand rubbed up and down his side. “We’re dancin’.”
“You know what I mean.”
You frowned.
“Can we at least watch the storm?”
“If we go sit in the tent.”
You nodded, a little bummed that you couldn’t dance anymore with him.
With his hand on the small of your back, Charles led you towards the tent.
“I’m going to get dry clothes. We don’t want to get the bedroll wet.”
“Okay.” You nodded, settling just inside the tent.
With difficulty, Charles changed out of his wet clothes.
“Doll? I’ve got your clothes.”
You looked over your shoulder at him.
“Charles?”
“Yes?”
“Do you think we’re actually going to Tahiti like Dutch says?”
Charles was quiet for a few moments. His eyes flickered down to the dry clothes of yours that he held in his hand.
“I don’t know, doll. It’s hard to tell, especially right now. There’s a lot going on and things seem to be changing rapidly.”
You nodded softly.
“Why do you ask?”
You turned your head to look back at the sky.
“I don’t want to leave this. Does Tahiti have thunderstorms?”
Charles smiled just a little.
“I don’t know much about Tahiti.”
“Well, I guess whatever happens will happen. As long as I have you, everything will be okay.”
“We’ll be okay, doll.” Charles promised you. “I won’t let anything happen to you.”
You smiled.
“You should change your clothes. You might get sick.”
“You worry too much.” You teased, moving to get the dry clothes.
You changed your clothes and then moved to get comfortable on the bedroll. Charles got comfortable beside you, allowing you to rest your head on his arm.
“Will you tell me that story your mother used to tell you about storms?” You looked up at him.
“I’ve told you that story a hundred times.”
“But I really love hearing it, and you have a lovely voice. Please?” You put your hand on his chest.
“Alright.”
