Trick or treat from all of us at MSMC-796! No specific requests; we trust you to pick something interesting for us from the archives.
-- Angel
Greetings!
I originally did not plan to use these to share tactical profiles, as they are not part of the public section of our Archives. However, they can be shared with allies given sufficient cause, and I trust you will make good use of this. Sorry about the redactions, unfortunately we cannot broadcast certain information on the Omninet without endangering other allies of ours.
Tactical Profile: HORUS "Balor"
Type: Mechanized Chassis/Greywash Composite
History: Log begun by Honored Wing Majid-4327 of Makteba Kano: Pattern group first encountered by detachment of MK Kano, deployed on Sanjak & Khayradin by Karrakin Free Company "The Maw" during Sanjak Revolution.
Log continued by Loyal Wing Yusef Pikul-4738 of Makteba Gao: Flight Cormorant of MK Gao encountered several Balor chassis while defending allied [REDACTED] from HORUS cultists. This seems to confirm that the pattern group is associated with HORUS, though its origins in the Sanjak Revolution cast doubt on the commonly accepted origin date of HORUS in 4900.
Log continued by Vikram Arrellano-4791 of Makteba Erdaf: Data from Hercynia suggests prototype Balor-like chassis were used in the Hercynian Crisis.
Log continued by Honored Wing Solmaz-4482 of Makteba Kano: Encountered Balor-analogous frame on Sanjak deployed by Karrakin Royal Intelligence Service "Company Centimane". Beginning new Tactical Profile: HORUS "Hekatonkheires" [link blocked].
Recognition: The Balor pattern group displays few consistent features even by HORUS standards. It not a solid frame, rather a collection of miniature drones and greywash that typically assume a chassis-like shape. Is occasionally known to assume the form of other chassis or vehicles, but is always of larger size, at least Schedule 2. Always displays ability damage proximal foes by its mere presence thanks to greywash nanites, and to repair itself incredibly quickly even without pilot input. Not all Balor chassis encountered have had pilots, instead being directed by decorporealized intelligences. Note: [REDACTED]
Typical Loadout: Balor chassis typically favor melee weapons and drone nexuses, most notably, nanites in the shape of whips capable of dragging opponents to within range of their greywash swarms. As with all HORUS chassis, they are adept at electronic warfare, though only at close range. Their e-war proficiency extends to their more conventional weaponry, as much of it displays the ability to target based on an enemy's electronic defenses, even when using weapons that would not ordinarily. Finally, Balor chassis have repeatedly displayed the ability to deploy localized greywash swarms, even at some range.
Tactical Recommendations: The Balor chassis's most glaring weakness is its slugishness and lack of maneuverability, due to lacking actual legs or mech-scale propulsion. This combined with its heavy reliance on close-range attacks means the ideal way to engage a Balor-Chassis would be at long range, potentially using e-war or other heat-inducing attacks to exploit the limited reactor capabilities of its component drones. This is useful for allied groups or specialized Albatross forces, but is often impossible due to typical Albatross loadouts and combat scenarios. In such a case, Nelsons with standard loadouts are optimal for taking on Balor chassis. Utilize hit-and-run tactics, relying on the war pike's reach, knockback capabilities, and the Nelson's superior maneuverability to strike while evading retaliation and staying out of reach of pursuit. Once wise to this tactic, enemy pilots may ready themselves for attack rather than attempting to pursue, so obverse them carefully. Grapples are likely, which can be avoided with proper use of Armor-Lock Plating. Teamwork for the purposes of focusing down one target at a time is especially important so as to overwhelm their regeneration. Heavier Defender-archetype mechs are not well suited to combating Balor chassis and should instead prioritize evacuating civilians (particularly important given the rapidity with which greywash can kill unarmored targets) or finding other targets, where applicable. Note: Communications logs suggest fragments of decorporealized intelligences from "The Maw" persist in Balor Chassis even when they are piloted, and that they bear a vendetta against the Albatross, particularly MK Kano. This may be exploited by Loyal Wings capable of goading the Balor Chassis to distract them away from civilians or allies.
Data: A large amount of tactical data follows, including averaged chassis & weapon combat speeds recommended energy weapon frequencies, kinetic weapon compositions & densities, & blast patterns. It seems to be aggregated from a detailed log of what appears to be every Albatross engagement against Balor chassis, some of which are redacted.

Locations in Sapporo
things in my personal life has calmed down somewhat for the time being so I figured I'd write up an easy lore post that I completely forgot I could make so here we are
I wanted to list some common locations found in Sapporo as featured in Vocal Android! I haven't actually talked about the setting too much and while I'm kinda bad at designing locations, I figured I could at least talk about them a little
But, yeah, I'll do my best to explain, so some lore under the cut?
Crypton Laboratories HQ/Crypton Towers: The place where the CVs live and where Meiko and Kaito work. A huge white, gray, and cyan building shaped like a C if you look at it from above, it's home to Crypton's various research labs. The building has floors entirely dedicated to be Miku, the twins and Luka's living spaces, and they each have their own color-coded rooms and living areas. There's a recording and dance studio in the building for the CVs to do their idol work and music playing, as well as a virtual reality training room. There's also the CVs' very own superhero base of sorts, which Gumi helped design, and allows the crew to oversee the city in case danger makes itself known (it's also a convenient place to hang out and take a nap). There's also a sizeable garage below the building, where Rin keeps the road roller.
Kenmochi Academy High School: Miku, Rin and Len's school. A large, clean campus made of three V-shaped buildings with their points pointing towards each other and hexagon-shaped windows. A pretty high-bar school with a lot of recent technology, it's one of the more popular and well-known high schools in town (and thus, an excellent candidate for Meiko's goal of having the CVs interact with humans their age). It is headed by Principal Sasaki. (Current Student List: Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin and Len, Kobayashi Matcha, Masaoka Azuki, Yumemi Nemu, Hibiki Lui, Akira Kano/Arsloid, Otomachi Una, Sato Sasara, Suzuki Tsudumi, Kokone Aime, Kizuna Akari, Futaba Minato, Hoshino Ichika, Tenma Saki, Hinomori Shiho, Mochizuki Honami, Koharu Rikka (formerly), Suzune Ring)
Ichikawa Academy High School: Gumi's school, a high school on the eastern side of the city. It's a more "normal" high school, less flashy than Kenmochi and looking more typical, but still has a few good programs to its name, including its science program (which Gumi tries to participate in). (Current Student List: Megumi "Gumi" Nakashima, Kotonoha Akane and Aoi, Tohoku Zunko, Gahata Meiji, Kamishiro Rui, Kusanagi Nene, Tenma Tsukasa, AiSuu, Tsuina-chan)
Utahako Elementary School: The local elementary school a block or two away from Kenmochi. It's a modest little elementary school, having been newly refurbished from an older building. Many of the students that go there end up graduating to Kenmochi later. Kiyoteru teaches here. (Current Student List: Kaai Yuki, Oliver Twitchell, Rana, Macne Petit, Tohoku Kiritan, Otomachi Unagi, Ryuuto Nakashima)
The Macne Cafe: A fresh-looking little internet cafe that sits in the town plaza and is the CVs' favorite hangout spot. Established by the Macne Family, it's become slowly but surely known around town for its delicious green apple cheesecake and desserts. Nana has been trying various ways to spread their customer base further.
The V5: A swanky nightclub and bar that is also in the plaza, run by four friends: Amy, Chris, Kaori and Ken. Many of the adult characters come there to drink and chat a bit.
UTAU Studios: A record label company and radio studio stationed in the industry hub of town, notable for its large staff and loooong list of talents. The studio runs a daily radio broadcast that's fairly popular, and their top talent is Namine Ritsu (or it was, anyway).
Sapporo University: The local college. A bit of an older building since it's been there basically forever compared to a lot of the rest of futuristic city. Has a small, colorful dormitory community next to it where students stay. (Current Student List: Galaco, Po-uta, Tsurumaki Maki, Shirosaki Yuudai; Utatane Piko isn't a student but he lives there)
Kamukura Shrine: A humble shrine that's only a little ways away from the beach, and is where most of the cast goes for holiday celebrations (such as New Years). It's headed by Kigashima Sourin and his protégés, Kurono Takehiro, Wakamatsu Akashi, Aoyama Ryuusei and Shirakami Koutarou, who are training to be proper priests. They also have their shrine maiden, a fussy teenage girl named Lumi who claims to be a jellyfish kami from the sea. Her antics tend to bring a lot of visitors.
SEKAI Auditorium: A venue a few blocks away from Crypton HQ and the main place where Miku and friends perform locally. Very spacious and known to host tons of acts, including smaller ones like local bands, singers and theater shows. Also functions as a sort of convention center at times. However, it's tendency to get raided by supervillains (mostly in pursuit of Miku and co.) has given it a bit of a weird reputation.
The Nebula: A recently-established nightclub in the plaza run by American DJ CYBER DIVA (and her partner CYBER SONGMAN), who is also the headlining act of the place. Used to have a bit of a rivalry with Miku, but they're both over it. Gets a lot of younger customers than the ones at the V5.
Dr. Momone's House: A modern house in a quiet neighborhood next to the industrial part of town where Dr. Momone, Momo and Defoko live. Their neighbors consist of Yufu (who lives down the lane), Eru (who lives at the far end of the lane), Tsukishiro Hakupo and his servant bot Kunishiki (who live next door) and Sensei.
Gumi's Apartment: Gumi, Gakupo and Ryuuto's small apartment in a building not too far from Crypton HQ. Not the nicest apartment that ever was, but it's homey.
Gin no Hana: A old-fashioned restaurant that has reasonable business and is popular due to the comfy atmosphere. Managed by Ginsaki and his wife, Koharu.
The Old Soul Theater: An old theater in town that's mainly still in the city for the sake of preservation, but still has small plays and acts now and again. Has been turned into an acting school of sorts by Miriam Stocks, a theater connoisseur.
Ruko's candy shop: A hole-in-the-wall shop in an alleyway managed by Yokune Ruko, where they sell candy, snacks and cheap cups of drip coffee. Totally not shady in the slightest. Is almost constantly out of coffee-flavored hard candy because Ruko keeps eating it.
Meiko's apartment: Meiko's home, a simple apartment in a simple complex where she crashes after a long day at the lab. The CVs have never been to it.
There's probably more than this but yeah :>

Single episode length: 24 minutes
Also known as: Spaceketeers / SF Saiyûki Starzinger / Space Journey to the West /  太空西游记  / Stranger Things / 宇宙奇兵
IMDb: tt0185655
Type: Reimagining
Summary:
From April 2, 1978 to August 26, 1979, it was broadcast on Fuji TV every Sunday from 19:00 to 19:30. All 73 episodes. From episode 65 onwards, the title has been changed to "SF Saiyuki Starzinger II". Aired on Toei video production. Strangely enough, at about the same time, Nippon TV aired the drama "Journey to the West Series" and TBS aired the drifter puppet show "Fly! Son Goku" on the same subject.
Based on "Journey to the West", Eisuke Ishikawa's science fiction novel "Science Journey to the West" is the original draft. Produced in the midst of the Leiji Matsumoto boom that began with "Space Battleship Yamato" in the late 1970s, following on from the previous program "Wakusei Robo Kano no Danguard A", Matsumoto drew the settings for the anime. Unlike the previous work, Matsumoto himself does not comicalize, Gosaku Sakurata is "TV Land" and Shigeto Ikehara is serializing the manga version as " Adventure King". In addition, the main character of this work, Kugo, has been changed from the giant robot series that has continued with the "Mazinger" series and "Wakusei Robo Danguard A" to a life-size hero. However, perhaps because of the setting that Son Goku in Journey to the West can also be gigantic, after becoming "SF Journey to the West Starzinger II", a setting has been added in which the main character becomes gigantic and fights.
The galaxy was in turmoil. Due to the weakening of the galaxy energy emanating from the center of the galactic universe, Great Pluto, even the good cosmic creatures became ferocious and rampaged as space monsters. In order to stop the progress of the situation, the power of Princess Aurora, who lives on the planet (Earth) of the solar system, was necessary. Therefore, Princess Aurora follows three galaxy cyborgs, Jean Cugo, Don Hakka, and Sir Jogo as knights. To restore peace in her universe, she continues her journey to the great planet while fighting space monsters and evil aliens.

Prominent Nigerian journalist and broadcaster, Rufai Oseni, has expressed deep concern over the political climate in the country as the 2027 elections approach. Despite widespread suffering and complaints about hunger and economic difficulties, Rufai believes that many Nigerians may still support President Bola Tinubu’s administration during the upcoming elections. Turkish Journalist Stunned by Victor Osimhen’s ‘Madness’; Galatasaray Fans Push for Permanent Deal In a post shared on his X (formerly Twitter) handle on Saturday, Rufai lamented the cyclical nature of political manipulation in Nigeria, warning that vote buying, which has historically affected the country’s elections, will continue to thrive. He highlighted that many citizens, struggling under the weight of hunger and economic challenges, could once again fall victim to the promise of a few incentives in exchange for their votes. Pay Attention To: My Appointment is Purely Political: New Minister Indicts Tinubu, Vows to Reclaim Kano for APC Rufai pointed out the ongoing situation in the Ondo election, where similar tactics are reportedly being used, and suggested that this pattern will only escalate ahead of the 2027 presidential elections. He stated, “I believe a lot of people screaming hunger will still vote this administration in 2027. The mind of the oppressed works in a certain way. Unless we intentionally free ourselves from the mental shackles of oppression, nothing will change. This is exactly what those in power understand, and they will play the same rice card just like in Ondo." He went on to explain how individuals struggling with poverty are often swayed by small offerings, noting, “When a hungry man sees 5kg of rice and N10,000, voting becomes the least of his concerns. Many destinies have been ruined this way." Rufai’s post has sparked significant discussion about the long-standing issue of vote buying in Nigeria, where vulnerable citizens are often swayed by temporary reliefs. With 2027 on the horizon, Nigerians face a crucial challenge in breaking the cycle of electoral manipulation and seeking real, lasting change.

What? [So what is the correct answer?] 🐱What, what is this? [Everyone, you're watching this heartwarming scene] 👩🏻 Pokemon challenge 🐱Waaah that's correct! Did you watch it? [Let's take a look at L's cuteness] 👩🏻 I thought it was really cute. It was cute and new to see you 🐱(Shy) [Thankfully] You liked it. Then the next question. What is the name of Myungsoo's recent live broadcast? (1) It's 9:28 (2) Can you hear me? I always write the time whenever I do live broadcasts and the like. What time I started it. So the right answer is (1) 👩🏻 I'll look for it and watch 🐱No, no 👩🏻 First I'll subscribe to your Youtube 🐱(Save Myungsoo) please don't… 👩🏻 I'll start with Youtube. To watch your YT [He's resigned now] 🐱Oh ok ok
...
Q. What did you learn from your character?
🐱Actually, I have a lot of similar tendencies, but if I have to pick one... It would be the way he upholds his beliefs. Of course, there are hardships and challenges about it in the process of thinking about it. But in the end, he maintains it in order to protect Hongdo and what he has. I think it was very cool.

Workers demand different minimum wage across geopolitical zones
Tumblr media
The Tripartite Committee on the National Minimum Wage, on Thursday, put forth recommendations for a new minimum wage across the six geopolitical zones. Chaired by the Chairman of the National Salaries, Incomes, and Wages Commission, Ekpo Nta, the committee called for the active involvement of stakeholders in the process. A public hearing was scheduled for March 7, with venues in Lagos, Kano, Enugu, Akwa Ibom, Adamawa, and Abuja. “We invite state and local governments, labour unions, employers of labour, civil society groups, small and medium enterprises and other stakeholders in the six geo-political zones to attend,” the statement quoted the chairman as saying. The chairman urged the stakeholders to present a memorandum which should include the proposed new national minimum wage for workers. PUNCH Online gives a breakdown of the recommendations from across the six zones. North West new minimum wage demandThe presentation was made by the Kano State Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Kabir Inuwa, on behalf of the North West leadership of the congress. He said the proposed minimum wage of N485,000 was necessary considering the dynamics of the national economy. The NLC boss noted that the Minimum Wage Act has given all the protection required to ensure compliance. North East new minimum wage demandLabour unions in the North East proposed a monthly national minimum wage of N560,000. During the North East Zonal Public Hearing of the Tripartite Committee on National Minimum Wage, both the NLC and Trade Union Congress branches across the six states in the region jointly recommended the amount. In contrast, the Adamawa and Bauchi State Governments suggested N45,000. The NLC chairman in Adamawa State, Emmanuel Fashe, presented the joint recommendation, advocating for a biennial review of the minimum wage instead of the current five-year cycle. The Christian Association of Nigeria in Adamawa State similarly recommended N486,000 per month, considering various family expenditures. Other groups, including the Nigeria Medical Association and the National Council of Women Societies, aligned with the NLC’s position. The hearing, chaired by NLC President Joe Ajaero, addressed diverse recommendations, with differing proposed amounts from various groups, including N200,000 by NCWS and N75,000 by the Muslim Council of Nigeria.North Central new minimum wage demandThe NLC chapter in the Federal Capital Territory suggested a revised minimum wage of N709,000. The FCT Chairman of NLC, Dr Stephen Knabayi, presented the proposal during the North Central Zonal Public Hearing organised by the Tripartite Committee on the National Minimum Wage in Abuja on Thursday. In a parallel recommendation, Mr Amaege Chukwudi, the leader of the TUC FCT chapter, proposed a monthly minimum wage of N447,000. He highlighted the prevailing economic challenges, emphasising that many Nigerian workers are now facing dire circumstances akin to begging due to the hardship. South West new minimum wage demandThe NLC demanded N794,000 as the new national minimum wage for workers in the South West geopolitical zone. The labour union in the South West, through the chairperson of the Lagos State chapter of the NLC, Funmi Sessi, made the demand during her presentation at the public hearing of the Tripartite Committee on National Minimum Wage in Ikeja, Lagos on Thursday. South South new minimum wage demandThe South-South chapter of the NLC recommended a revised minimum wage of N850,000 for workers across the country. The chairperson of NLC in Akwa Ibom, Sunny James, made this announcement during a public hearing on the proposed wage structure held in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, on Tuesday. The proceedings of the event were broadcast live on Facebook. James voiced his dissatisfaction with the fact that certain states within the region have not yet implemented the existing N30,000 minimum wage, which was last updated in 2019. South East new minimum wage demandThe NLC and the TUC in the South-East region jointly recommended N540,000 and N447,000, respectively, as the new minimum wage. The proposal was presented by organised labour during the South-East Zonal Hearing organised by the Tripartite Committee on National Minimum Wage in Enugu on Thursday.Representing the NLC in the region, Fabian Nwigbo, the Chairman of the NLC Enugu State Chapter, emphasised that the purchasing power of the 2019 N30,000 minimum wage has been significantly eroded by inflation. PUNCH Online reported on January 30 that the Federal Government inaugurated the tripartite committee on the national minimum wage. Meanwhile, Vice President Kashim Shettima inaugurated the 37-member panel at the Council Chamber of the State House in Abuja. In his opening address, Shettima urged members to “speedily” arrive at a resolution and submit their reports early as the current N30,000 minimum wage expires at the end of March 2024. On Friday, the Appeal Court sitting in Abuja upheld the ruling of the tribunal that sacked Governor Yusuf and declared Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna of the All Progressive Congress (APC) winner of the March 18 election. In a broadcast on Friday, Yusuf said he had instructed his legal team to challenge the Appeal Court ruling at the Supreme Court. Earlier, Abdullahi Ganduje, National Chairman of APC, said his party was waiting for Yusuf and the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) at the apex court. “I thank Allah for this important judgement. We have to thank the judiciary for providing good administration of justice despite all the distractions that took place since the beginning of the case. “We have to thank the judiciary. There is no doubt this is a victory for democracy. It is a victory for APC and a victory for Kano State. This is an indication that democracy has come to stay in Nigeria. Democracy we can say is matured in Nigeria. We have to thank all those stakeholders, the political parties, even the NNPP that took us to the Appeal Court. “For Kano State, this victory is for all of us. We are fully aware, we know what happens during the election; a lot of malpractices and we took the issue to the tribunal and by the grace of God, we got a fair judgement in favour of our great party, APC. “Now, the government in power, the NNPP decided to go the Court of Appeal and this morning , by the power of God, the Court of Appeal affirmed the judgement of the lower court. And by so doing, our gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Nasiru Gawuna is the duly elected governor of Kano State. “But in all, probably, they will go to the Supreme Court which is part of democracy. There is nothing wrong for them to go to the Supreme Court. We too, we are ready to meet them in Supreme Court. And Insha Allah, we will win at the Supreme Court as well.”

Shandi Kano - From Running Highs to Breaking Points: Shandi's Journey of Healing and Self-Discovery after the Boston Marathon Bombing
Shandi’s love of running began when she was very young, and throughout her life, it was something that always helped her to cope with stress and anxiety. However, as she got older, she became consumed with the idea of proving something to others, and the pressure of the pursuit caused her to have a nervous breakdown during the 2013 Boston Marathon.
During this episode Shandi shares more about how she got into running, how running the NYC Marathon changed her life, especially the second time she ran it, when she ran a Boston qualifying time of 3 hours and 12 mins.
After qualifying for Boston, she set herself the goal of breaking a 3 hour marathon. Shandi put a lot of pressure on herself to perform well.
Unfortunately things did not go to plan, she realised early on she wasn’t going to hit her goal, but she still managed to cross the finish line, where she was immediately ushered to the medical tent. Her body had finally given in and later on she would find out that she had had a nervous breakdown.
*Please be advised that in this episode, we will be discussing the Boston Marathon bombings, which took place on April 15, 2013. This event resulted in the tragic loss of three lives and injured hundreds of others. We understand that this topic may be sensitive and triggering for some listeners.
Our guest, Shandi, will be sharing her personal experience of being at the 2013 Boston Marathon, and the impact it had on her mental and physical health. If you feel that this topic may be difficult for you, we encourage you to prioritise your emotional well-being and listen at your own discretion.
Shandi shares more about the aftermath, how she needed to heal her body and mind.
She did this by making big changes to her life; from leaving her job as a television producer and moving to be closer to the mountains. She also started to freelance as a creative producer.
