Finally, I can answer asks again... (Out of pure, raw sleepiness, I published this instead of drafting it. I'll cry)

To say that dealing with three Matildas is simple is such an understatement. They're not the messiest nor the hardest to deal with, but lord should they get separated.

Insecurity Matilda is one of the few emotions that ever comes out. She's supposed to be proud, but sometimes she wants to be held. She wants attention, something her mother and father never provided. This would usually be hidden under a prideful facade, but without it, she's so easy to move into tears.

If there just so happens to be one of her lovers (or both) or - if she's lucky enough to be at the right place at the right time - Ms Kimberly in the same room as her, then be sure she's clinging to them for comfort.

Kanjira is taken aback but is quick to reply, she's never dealt with this so it takes her a moment to find the right pace. Mercuria is top best at dealing with Insecurity Matilda, as she holds the sobbing girl in her arms and mutters comforting words to her, offering comfort and a safe space inside her embrace.

Then there's Kimberly, who nervously carries Matilda around and gives her meat to eat. How can you be sad with a delicious plate of meat right in front of your eyes?

"Oh! Master, are you-" Kimberly's eyes open wide "-Crying?! Ah, no- uh, why are you...? Here, have some of this chicken! Yes, I made it myself! N- no, erm, could you let go of my dress? I, uh, can carry you! If you want me to"

Prideful Matilda is so easy to deal with because, well, that's your every day Matilda. Prideful, calling herself by grandiose names and telling others just what to do. Just you average Matilda.

Sure, you might not be able to fluster her, but her pride is like a huge wall made out of bricks- yes, she is dense.

"You're gorgeous under the sun's light, darling"

"Hah! Of course I am. Don't you know that I am not only THE best field investigator, but also the most good looking one?"

"Pffft- Yes, I believe you."

Just because she can't get flustered (her Flustered self is just running around hiding inside rooms) doesn't mean compliments and flirting don't work on her.

And you're gonna be lucky as heck if you're able to see Flustered Matilda because Lord, she's good at hiding.

She's too nervous to talk to anyone, so far only Shamane has seen her, and that's because he didn't comment on her personality split (he didn't know)

You can try to drag her out of her room (they tried) but you'll only be able to hear a stuttering insult in french before seeing the dust she left behind after running away at a shocking speed.

Monthly Reverse Gets: "I Somehow Forgot About September" Edition

Like the title says, I somehow forgot to do a version of this for September. Anyway, my Insight 3 section is starting to fill out nicely.

Brand New:

Semmelweis: One of our two free characters for the Anniversary patch. I built her, despite not wanting to run Eternity, because I really need one other, decent, Mineral DPS for Limbo content. She actually works surprisingly well with Charlie.

Lorelei: The other free character.

Medicine Pocket: Got them in the banner during the first half of the Anniversary patch. They're still not usable, but once X is done they're next. Can't stress enough how happy I am to have Med Pocky on my account :D

Pickles: Picked up while trying to get Kakania.

Kakania: Managed to get her during the big Anniversary patch. She was only untrained for about 10 minutes before I immediately boosted her to Insight 3, Level 30, Resonance 10.

Lucy: I also managed to pick up Lucy after pulling on Kakania, no hard pity necessary. I got her to Insight 2 but I'm not even going to bother leveling her further. I don't want her to suck all the fun out of the game with her ridiculously OP kit.

Ulu / Kanjira: I picked them up at some point. I think it was on the first 10 pull for the Mercuria Banner. I didn't intend to pull for Mercuria but I had to do a 10 pull, just because that banner gives you a guaranteed 5* on the 10th of 70 pulls.

Mercuria: I just wanted to build up 30/70 pulls for the J pity, but Reverse 1999 kept giving me 6* characters on pull 20-30 (and it happened like 3 times in a row), so now I have a P1 Semmelweis AND a P1 Mercuria and only 26 pity for the Joe banner (please RNGsus have mercy on me). If it were P0 Mercuria I'd ignore her, but as a F2P character whose 6* are all mostly P0, I can't really ignore a P1 Mercuria...

Leveled Up:

A lot of long time characters on my account finally got to graduate from "Forever Insight 2/3". Tennant, Sonetto, Necrologist, Desert Flannel and Yenisei.

When Mane's Bulletin arrives this week X will also be usable for endgame content.

Sweetheart: I couldn't really afford not to build her. She finally hit P5 and I still REALLY need a Beast DPS for Limbo content, so I built her, despite her being pretty mid.

Baby Blue: She also hit P5 though I honestly started to enjoy playing her due to the Roguelike mode. She's a low priority but I do want to run her alongside DPS-Six (since she has pretty easy debuffs to help power up Six's Ult).

Twins Sleep: With Kakania on my account, it's a lot easier to play certain low rarity characters. Twins Sleep is the first low rarity I'm building up, since I know they're pretty solid supports from the Roguelike mode.

John Titor: GET HYPE FOR JOHN TITOR COSTUME IN 2.3 WOOO

Other:

Kakania: I ended up using the new Resonance upgrade mechanic on her, since you can massively increase her HP with it (and that makes her even better at absorbing damage for allies).

I plan to also upgrade Marcus and Charlie, since their default R10 pieces aren't very good. They're both DPS characters, but their default pieces give them like, extra HP and Crit Defense. Not sure what I'll use for Charlie, but Marcus should get the Incantation boosting piece.

I can Imagine Mesmer Jr is pretty easy to take care of, I mean... It's not even an animal You just have to make sure it's in a safe place, and if it moves, you have to make sure it's not floating around where it shouldn't.

Vertin is just sitting by this thing that's Mesmer Jr taking a sip of her tea while offering some to the inanimate object (Mesmer says no)

Blonney is almost some sort of cursed doll so picture Jessica proudly showing off the weirdest toy ever and treating it like her girlfriend, because it is. Blonney is not even a menace she's just sitting there annoyed and fixing her fabric, it's Jessica that's the problem.

Jessica places Blonney on her back, asks her to hold tight and then runs around with Udimo Blonney and poor girl indeed, she's fearing for her life in case she flies away.

Udimo Jessica is more simple, it's a hyperactive deer that just cuddles up to Blonney. And Blonney has her on a leash for both of their safety, trust her, she knows her deer better.

Tooth Fairy is a simple bird, she perches on the top of Madam Z's head and stays there all the time, sometimes she flies all over the room of lies on her lover's hand, but other than that, she's just lying on her head. And chirping really loudly when Z goes through her fifth cup of coffee.

Imagine Windsong holding a fish in her hands with a red fabric on its head and a goofy smile, the fish is not in pain and is just there, in Windsong's hands. Windsong has no idea what to do or what just happened but the fish is asking for food and she delivers, and yes it does get put in water don't worry.

As for Vila, she carries Windsong on her scarf and from time to time, shows her off! It's her cute girlfriend that got turned into a small creature that's just as pitiful as her normal self! Best of cares for Udimo Windsong

I can imagine Kanjira picking up Ducktilda and showing her off to everybody else. She's just too cute!! But Matilda hates this embarrassment and is quacking the whole way, she's also not getting her feathers wet or anything, Nuh uh. Mercuria doesn't pick her up as much, she just lets her walk around and lay on her lap if she wants, but she's definitely pocking her or petting her.

Kanjira is pretty much like Punji, mischievous snake scaring everyone she sees and hiding under her lovers clothes because she can and because she wants to.

Mercuria Udimo? Girl looks like she consumed a stack of weed and just laid there in unicorn form. Yes she's just oddly calm and since she's no longer a human, it's rare. Matilda and Kanjira try to encourage her to run around and she just flops on the ground and sleeps. Me core ngl

Kakania in Udimo form is a smart parrot, she talks a lot and is moving around too much. She ends up in Isolde's arms eventually and is being spoiled, petting her head, giving her best quality food and providing her with warmth. What's better than being spoiled by your lover?

Isolde Udimo is similar to Tooth Fairy, she hides in Kakania's huge hat and only comes out when Kakania herself asks her to. She just likes being there for no reason at all.

Yes, rare not doomed Isolkania because I'm bitter.

Last ask before Barbra makes me count sheep- actually, two in one:

First: Who gets pregnant between Matilda, Kanjira, and Mercuria? (Can add Anjo Nala in on that for fun if you wish)

Second: Who would you ship Barbra with?

For me, Anjo is most likely their unwillingly adopted murderous woman. As in, she adopted herself and interrupts their daily life.

Not to make things weird or anything, I feel like exploring a little into the future of a character's relationship in a more mature light can make you understand a couple things about the characters.

Though this might be an uncomfortable topic for some? I'm not entirely sure, the age and all...

So... Err, I think it would be Mercuria.

I took a moment to think, and I feel like Mercuria would be the one to take upon herself that responsibility.

Matilda is a foundation worker, so far, I don't think the foundation would allow anyone to engage in such conditions, especially someone so important as Matilda. In the future, if things continue the way they are, Matilda would be a very important asset to the foundation due to her loyalty, independence and goals.

She's very unique and a person that can rule and be able to come up with solutions with things given to her. If she's so smart this young, the foundation would absolutely require her once she's older. So, if she still works there, they would not allow her to get into any sort of thing that would have her temporality stop doing field missions.

Hell, they'd barely leave time for her personal life! Like Madam Z but instead of being an assistant, she's a field investigator equally as overworked if not more!

Kanjira, on the other hand, is a loose string. I don't think she'd be able to take upon herself the responsibility that it means carrying a child, as mentioned before.

It's more so the way she was raised, Sherja (?) didn't have any children yet she still had to take care of her and others, her parents were not present in her life and she had a bad experience with the adults back in her hometown. If that's how things are, could she really bear the thought?

Mercuria is the most mature and responsible one when it comes to life decisions. She's not a Matilda that barely has time to breathe, nor a Kanjira that doesn't want to carry with the responsibility.

She loves her mother despite what happened, she knows her mother loves her too but wasn't mentally prepared for the task. So, she had to really consider the idea.

She has that instinct, and I'm pretty sure it's her who suggested the idea to the others, because she's in a good place mentally, emotionally and spiritually, and she can do what her mother couldn't do for her.

I remember her tenderness when talking about her mother back in the event, though I didn't play her side story so I could be mischaracterizing, but I believe she has that instinct within herself that she can take care of her own child.

So, yes. I believe it's Mercuria, and Matilda is no absent mother, she would ask for a leave from the foundation to be there!

And I ship Barbara with Nick Bottom, though you'll probably see that in the other ask. Good night comrade, please sleep, I feel your tiredness.

An-An Lee with Yenisei's personality is such a calm and peaceful woman with the most savage comments if you bother her.

The hyperactive An-An Lee would return your comments with pettiness, but this An-An Lee would say some things that damn...

"Your job is not even a real job! Ghost hunting? Really?"

"I still win your year salary in a week"

It's more common to hear her speak in Cantonese, as well as her writing. She's still a little bit concerning sometimes, when she doesn't act up when she sees ghosts but instead efficiently and calmly.

"Good work today, now I must rest for a moment"

Yenisei with An-An Lee's personality does NOT fit her face.

A bright, hyperactive Yenisei with a big smile? Whose nightmare is that?

It's easier to find Yenisei swimming or just chilling above water during this period of time. She's just enjoying time in a very exciting way, catching fish with the help of Vila.

Yup, she burns her energy by running around, doing whatever activity that she finds amusing or water-related. It burns her adrenaline and also keeps her busy, so, why not?

She's far more affectionate, since she wouldn't really hug anyone before, unless protecting Bessmert and hand holding with Jiu counts, she rarely touches people. Which is why seeing her with an arm wrapped around Spathodea and a bright smile is so weird.

She's more active at night, a difference from her usual self, more active in the morning.

"Good evening Vertin! Are you ready to go swimming today?! Mm? Oh, don't worry, it's just a little fun!"

Mercuria and Ms. Newbabel is such a crazy concept ngl. You wanna put my baby with this absolutely gorgeous woman's personality?

Mercuria's eyes, usually just wandering around, suddenly fixated upon money and prices? Such a crazy concept ain't that right?

Mercuria doesn't really care much for prices or business and such, but if she has such sharp eyesight for the future and divination, she can certainly make a business out of it, can't she?

Thank God she had no fixation for critters because she's making a lot of money from reading people's futures. At least she's making money out of her passion.

She has such an amazing friendship with the critters and walks around freely through the woods of the wilderness with her two critter companions.

Since she doesn't do divination, she's just walking around with a bunch of critters after her with the most peaceful, totally-doesn't-smoke-weed vibe.

Eternity and Kanjira, the successful business woman and the shameless thief.

Eternity with Kanjira's personality would certainly be a deal. She's a dignified lady, a woman of money who holds herself higher than the rest due to this. To her, money is easy, and business is even more important than companionship.

So, when you see this dignified lady pickpocketing with a mischievous smile, you know right away that she's not herself.

Eternity is mischievous, a trickster by birth, but unfortunately, she's also naive and driven by her own emotions. Not like she shows it or anything, but it's not that hard to confuse her if you know what you're looking for.

Surprisingly, she keeps herself spotless just so she can offer beautiful rocks or distract people before stealing their wallet or any priced possession.

"No, don't look at me. This wallet is just... A similar design to yours. ID? It doesn't have one!"

Kanjira with Eternity's personality would almost be herself but if she had been taught business.

She's a thief, but with Eternity's successful, prideful and tricky personality, she's amazing at business.

Coming from below and using such a thing to trick people for money, such as beautiful things made by herself or things she had stolen before, she's able to buy a significant amount of money.

And commit tax fraud.

Indeed, she's a smart young lady who uses her poor, haggard looks to steal, but in prices. Different to stealing wallets, she'll make you feel robbed by selling you a flower crown for the shocking amount of 55 Sharpodontry.

Oh, but you wouldn't complain to an orphan, would you? With such a haggard look and background, wouldn't you offer those 50 Sharpodontry?

An evil, greedy trickster.

Charlie and Blonney is pretty interesting, considering what you guys have told me to do (I'm building her bond atm), Charlie is a very interesting and sad character. So...

Blonney with Charlie's personality is a mess, something she could have been if only she had been allowed to have her old, human forced personality. Rationality and all.

A shy lady who uses her jacked to cover herself as much as possible to not catch anyone's eyes. You have seen her posters of horror movies? N-no, those are not hers!

Shy, reclusive and antisocial. She wouldn't speak much, nor would she appreciate visits unannounced. She prefers just, staying inside.

When it comes to battle, she's more herself. Smashing the enemies, using her arcane skill to launch monsters at them and destroy them.

Her confidence in battle is frightening. She uses such tactics to scare, creep and to frighten the enemy by using her horror movie addiction and creativity. She's aggressive, putting on a show as she destroys every single enemy.

That laugh she has in one of her lines? She's laughing like that all the way with a scary look in her eyes.

"H-huh? Uhm, these posters? No- no, Nono those aren't mine! These are from, uh, Horropedia!"

Charlie with Blonney's personality? A harsh change.

She would attempt to act naturally, if you know what I mean. Less of a shy or confident circus director and more of a... I suppose an idgaf-er. Which she isn't.

She's pretending to not care, her business are certainly not anyone else's, but it's hard to let go of that shell.

This Charlie is determined, at least. She's confident in her plays and her actions, but with Blonney's doubts and her self-esteem, mixed with Charlie's own doubts, she's just putting on a confident mask.

"Would you lock the door? I'm in the middle of a play. ... No, I don't, I don't care, if you don't have something important to say, leave."

Seeing Matilda silently taking a sip of her water while observing the suitcase is quite creepy. The outspoken, confident and talkative Matilda so silent, poised and well-mannered? Quite strange.

Despite all of that, she seems to want to be close to her lovers as much as possible, lighting up every time she sees them, even more than she normally would. There's a sense of need sometimes, to be held or to be touched, but she won't say anything about it.

It's concerning to see her so quiet, so silent, yet with such a want and desire in her eyes that's contained inside.

"It's not that I am lonely... Maybe, perhaps I am, but you don't have to worry. I'll be fine, I am Matilda Bouanich after all, I have to be fine."

Of course Mercuria and Kanjira have tried to cheer her up, hold her and try to make sure she doesn't say anything about her predicament. Mercuria even held a session for her during this period to see what could be happening, just a change in personality, nothing severe. Of course that's just a chance between traits but not between thoughts so...

Either way, Matilda seems to be taking care of herself properly, despite how unsettling her aura is.

As for Isolde, it's the complete opposite. She's HILARIOUS.

"Place your eyes onto I, the amazing Opera singer and last of the Dittarsdorf family, Isolde von Dittarsdorf!"

She would be walking into a room and she exudes confidence. Her voice is already powerful, but with such a confident aura and her bright smile, she's certainly even more attractive.

She doesn't mind boasting her achievements, though what makes her more hilarious are her interactions with the spirits around her. She doesn't pay attention to them, and when they get bothersome, she shuts them up

"Silence now! I, Isolde von Dittarsdorf, the best Opera singer in Vienna, ask you, a low spirit that haunts me, to shut your mouth or be condemned by my incantations"

And then sometimes she proceeds to actually launch an arcane skill.

Seeing Isolde smile so boastfully is so very cute and attractive, her face was made to wear a confident grin and the way she moves and acts makes her the center of attention. As a performer, she knows how to keep it unto herself.

It's a shame it's only for a limited amount of time, and that she can remember every single detail of this, because Kakania wished she could go there and try to fix their relationship. Wishful thinking indeed, it's still too early for them to meet again.

And uh, we canonise the plushie saga into this au. So the plushies in this au are actual 'official' merch, so what its the reaction of the cast to the plushies?

Vertiny it's no longer Halloween please stop spooking the R1999 fans/silly

So far, it might be Lucy's costume. You see, it's made out of real iron and the paint has to be made for every scene, they also have to ensure that Miss Lucy doesn't have any allergic reaction to the paint or any difficulties with the costume.

And repairs are quite the thing so, yeah. As for a close second, we have the garments. Spathodea has a similar problem but without the paint and Lilya's armor is also made with real metal and made by a professional, so... They paid quite some money for a singular garment. Luckily it was the most famous one.

How the i2 outfits work is quite simple, they do change clothes a lot in the series so they're not wearing the same outfit all the time except for the Foundation workers, who have to wear the same outfit. Vertin doesn't change often unless it's for relaxed scenes (she never relaxes), meanwhile Sonetto only changes in specific scenes like season 4 or season 7, and Matilda is the more free one because of her rank so she has quite a wardrobe.

Isolde doesn't actually complain, she's actually glad she doesn't have to change as much as she does in an opera. Those two dresses are surely something but she's fine with it.

Meanwhile, Miss Lucy sighs every time she has to get in her costume. It's a whole procedure that's quite annoying to go through every other scene. She did ask for a change of proportions but, well, they made slight changes so she could fit in the metal parts.

As for Lucy's i2 outfit, it's just the Actress having freedom from some parts of the metal body.

Miss Lucy: I have to say, I don't hate the costume but having to go through all that process is time consuming. Thankfully I always get a health check and ensure my safety.

Regulus is the one with the most outfit changes, she might even wear her usual clothes and call it a day. Makes Lilya and Vertin a little jealous since they're not allowed to change outfits.

Pavia willingly doesn't use his i2 outfit as much, he likes the colors of his i0 outfit so you will only see him in his i0, i2 is a collective imagination from the fandom (jk)

I can picture Vertin holding a Smallneider and making a video of herself sobbing while hugging it to feed the fans. She has a lot of fun with the plushies, holding them in her arms. And putting them in difficult situations

Meanwhile Isolde holds dearly a Kakania plushie because that plushie ACTUALLY pays attention to her. Isolde has made some bitter comments to Klara who's like "Oh? Yeah the plushie is so cute! It looks like a mini-me"

She's about to make a wedding with the Kakania and Isolde plushie to send it to Klara but she knows her thick head will not get that crap.

Then there's Lilya and Regulus throwing plushies at each other, "The plushie war" if you will.

Lilya: Hey, wanna play angry birds? I put the Arcana plushie in here and you throw the rest at her.

Regulus: Damn you're a genius. Lemme get the Vertin plushies ready.

Theophil: Isolde, could you please stop sobbing onto Mini Kakania? I can hear you from here

Isolde: Shut up Theophil, I'm depressed

Theophil: You're always depressed- Hey! Don't throw them at me!

Semmelweis is always seen with a Bela and Semmelweis plushie somewhere in her emo clothes, if you stare long enough, you'll see it. They're her emotional support plushies she sometimes throws at Valentina when she's unaware.

Oh and Matilda hates (liar) her duck plushie. She's NOT a duck. Mercuria and Kanjira have taken pictures of her cuddling up to that plushie like her sanity depends on it. Little ducking liar.
