I saw it! ooooh! I'm so excited as well! It's gonna be so much fun! Can't wait to see Researcher T & little monster Nene-chan animated!! I love the whole AU in general, so seeing it animated is really great news!

Let me share a little thing connected to this pleasant announcement with you, Anon! I've had this little dream of having wizard Tsukasa (he's my top 1 of all the AUs Tsukasa so far/forever it seems. haha) animated before, hear his voice, see all his mischief, enjoy all his glory, but never thought highly of it... since there is no way we will get a twitter event animated. Oh, how wrong I was! While I didn't get the one I hoped for, Researcher T is one of my top favorite Tsukasa! It's so cool to have animated! I will enjoy his glory to its fullest! Can't wait for the episode to be out!!!

Hi there again! I was the anon who asked for your ideas of TeruKane in the monster nursery au which is, again, lovely and amazing! I simply love how you expanded this au and adore the conclusion(?) of how Teru and Akane managed to live out the fullest of their lives and be together until Akane's death! The last part of Teru still wearing the wedding ring was unexpected and angst yet a great bittersweet one since Akane was a human, after all.

Just, truly, thank you for answering the ask!!

Just wanted to point out something about Mitsuba and Nene’s monster designs

So very obviously all of them follow their researcher’s color schemes, with Mitsuba being red, Nene purple, and Mokke yellow. But another thing to take note of is about their tails

Mitsuba has a spades symbol at the end of his tail

And Nene has a flame

i have a whole au dedicated to it id have to dig up its lore to find it but it seems really interesting honestly .. dragon teru >>>> Oh and akane's there too . ig

i like the idea of teru wrapping his wings around akane when he kisses him... also his tail around akane's like as a subtle protective gesture but he doesnt even realize he's doing it. kinda like a dog tail but he doesnt know how to feel when its compared to that

also akane's easily flustered and pushes teru away because of his affection all the time like it's so . Gay nd he has to get used to it first

teru can breathe fire but akane has a huge bat strong bfs

Study Time w/ Professor A Sketches Coloured

AoiNene Week Ficlets #6

Day 6: Childhood Friends/Future

The Kamome Monster Nursery AU was the only JSHK AU where I hadn’t written AoiNene for it yet. So here it is.

Nene was someone she had watched keenly from the start. Even as an egg assigned to that one often troublesome researcher, she couldn’t help but be curious about how that one would turn out. When the little monster finally hatched, full of potential and energy, she was drawn.

Researcher T laughed brightly when Nene first bit her tail. But if he was expecting a confrontation for Nene to surely win, he was sorely mistaken. Aoi was good about keeping her poise and she kept on smiling even as Nene chewed on her, little fangs scraping against her fur.

She’d have to spend quite a bit of time brushing out her fur, but that was fine. Not a big deal. And Nene was looking up at her with such bright eyes.

“Curious, ne? Nene?” Researcher T cooed with Nene’s childish ‘namesake’. “Or do you think Aoi-chan is just very tasty?”

“Pwah!” After spitting out a mouthful of fur, Nene crawls up her tail. “Ao-i!”

She’s heavier than she looks, but when she settles into Aoi’s open arms, she’s nothing short of angelic.

“Nene-chan,” Aoi murmurs back. “You’re so cute.”

Researcher T chuckles again, and Aoi almost wants to snatch Nene up and slither away into her den. Alas, when Researcher T retrieves her and carries her off, Aoi can’t stop him. Nene does wave at her over Researcher T’s shoulder, adorable and cheerful and Aoi waves back.

And Nene—stays that cute even as she grows at a rapid rate.

“Aoiiiii!”

Nene outgrew chewing on her tail but would still tackle it, wrapping her arms around its width and squeezing. She buried herself in Aoi’s fur, giggling as she did.

“Today! We learned a bit of history!” she exclaimed. “I’m told I’m doing okay—but Mitsuba’s more studious than I am. I’m told that’s because Researcher A is waaaaay more of a nerd. Researcher T makes fun of him a lot, and it really gets Mitsuba worked up...”

“And?” Aoi asks sweetly, prodding at one of Nene’s squishy pink cheeks.

“If Mitsuba wants a fight, he’ll get it!” Nene harrumphed. “I can take him!”

“Nooo, no fighting,” Aoi laughed, curling her tail around her to nuzzle her precious face. “Nene-chan, it’s no good to cause unnecessary trouble for the staff.”

“Researcher S says it’s fine as long as I’m fit and happy,” Nene pointed out but she pouts, “But I don’t want to cause trouble for Aoi... We’re best friends, aren’t we?”

Aoi purred in agreement.

“Researcher T says you like me a lot!” Nene exclaims then. “I also like you a lot, Aoi!”

Aoi squealed, hugging her tight.

An easy friendship. An easy relationship. Neither of them thought anything of it and then...

“When she grows up, she’ll be quite the fierce beast,” Researcher T chirped, grinning with a rather malicious gaze. All while Nene was wrapped in her tail and sleeping oh so peacefully. “Aoi-chan, you won’t let her tear you apart, right?”

“Nene-chan wouldn’t do that.”

“Mm, she’s too sweet-tempered when it comes to you,” he agreed, only to add, “But we never know what the future brings, right? Especially for monsters.”

“Even so...” Aoi clicked her tongue, possessive and protective of the girl in her embrace. “I know Nene-chan will always be my friend.”

“Just your friend?”

That—she couldn’t give an answer to.

Aw, Akane and Teru are all grown up.

I wish we would have seen more of them as babies tho, I’ve seen Teru with Mei and Shijima. We haven’t seen them in forever…

Hanging with the Oniisans is so cute tho, their like big siblings to them!!
