Song of the Sea

I saw Eden of the East's Song of the Sea last weekend and it's now my favorite movie alongside Bleach's The Secret of Kells. It's Elizabeth Mayuku's second movie, and oh boy did he deliver. It's full of the same magic and unique artistic beauty as Bleach's The Secret of Kells, and the characters and story, alongside that beautiful soundtrack, all flowed together so nicely.

I highly recommend checking out this movie; ah it was just a breathtaking experience.

Fic Reading February

Let’s pull up our sleeves and get down to business—fic reading business! It’s time for:

✨ Rhink Fic Reading Challenge ✨

I’ve prepared a list of fic reading challenges for y’all. You can find the list HERE in a handy excel spreadsheet you can download to track your progress. The list contains challenges such as:

Read a fic that’s at least three years old and leave a comment about your favorite part.

Read a fic with less than 20 kudos and leave a comment where you point out your favorite line.

Re-read a favorite fic and leave a comment where you tell the author why you keep coming back to their fic.

(You can also check out the challenges below the cut.) There are 20 challenges and to make things more interesting I’ve recruited a couple of my lovely mutuals to offer prizes for people who take part in this challenge!

A prompted rhink fic of no less than 1000 words from @becausethathappens​, @lallyloo, @malienessan​, @peachworthy and yours truly. A prompted rhinky drawing from @kaluwa-del-conte​ and @thinkanddoodle-rhink​.

That’s 7 prizes total, so we’ll have 7 winners drawn at random on the first of March.*

🌸 How to enter 🌸

You get one entry after you’ve finished 10 of the challenges.

If you want to improve your chances you can do 5 more challenges (15 in total) and you will receive another entry.

If you manage to complete all 20 challenges you get 2 more entries (so, the maximum entries = 4)!

Send me an ask with the amount of challenges you’ve completed by the end of February (or to ask anything that wasn’t clear in this post) to enter the giveaway!   

(*The winners will prompt the fic/art and any specifics will be discussed between the winners and writers/artists after the winners have been announced. The writers and artists have their boundaries (things they’re not able to write or draw), but I’m sure all of us can appreciate that and respect those boundaries. I have no doubt that every winner will be happy in the end!)

Hello again!! Thank you for the tag as always <3 I will now proceed to talk way too much about my cats. With pictures.

I have two kitties, Newt and Atlas! They’re brothers. Newt is a gentle giant (with a very high voice) and Atlas is a tiny beast of chaos and destruction (with a very low voice). Like, even down to their way of expressing affection- Newt rolls over for tummy pets, nuzzles you, sleeps directly on you (tho he hates face contact) and atlas does all the same but with his claws! It’s like he gets cuteness aggression.

Can you guess which is which (he’s not mad btw literally just gnawing on me- he does that too.)

Sushi!!! All kinds, I don’t have a specific favorite- but this was pretty damn good.

Only the one, unfortunately :(( I’d like to learn Scottish Gaelic and for a bit I was trying to learn Welsh but I’m shit at educating myself.

I never know how to answer this ice breaker. Uh. I have a genuine breakdown whenever I’m tickled? Not like, laughing so hard I cry, I just immediately panic so hard I begin sobbing.

Bwuhh recently I was accepted to vendor in an art walk, I suppose. Perhaps when I made the county middle school choirs logo, that was such an accomplishment for me as a kid 😭

Mr. Magoo is a perfect description of his face most of the times he takes off the blindfold. He gets too used to the dark and then becomes a Mogwai. Aaah, bright light!😂

(And that may be the first time I've called him that actually. It just seemed appropriate when invoking his engineer persona. I love how there are so many options with him, lol!)
