Just wanted to say that my recent writing streak has been some of the most fun, creatively fulfilling writing I’ve had since like 2013. I had that brain rot for the longest time that anything I wrote had to get engagement or popular to be worth it but man, just going off and doing whatever the fuck I want has been so freeing.
#this goes for fandom spaces too like idc anymore#idk what it is but I hope everyone gets to feel like this#there’s that post that says you should like things in your way not what collective fandom thinks and that is so true#kailey speaks

Inspired by this gifset, and people in the tags saying "yoga teacher Tommy anyone?"
So, uh, please accept this offering of Season 1!Buck and Yoga Teacher!Tommy 😊 I haven't spell or grammar checked this, so please excuse any errors, I will do that before I put it on ao3 (maybe as a first meeting AU for BuckTommy week?) later lol.
Rating: Mature (esque), Buck is having some not safe for work thoughts about yoga teacher Tommy >.< (and Buck's own arousal 🤤)
Word count: 1.9k~
Enjoy!!
Buck slides through the half-open fire door at the yoga studio without double checking back down the alleyway he walked down. He's on the third yoga teacher from this particular studio, her name is Jewel on Tinder, and they usually fuck in her empty classroom.
She'd leave the door open; he would make his way through half empty hallways and dodge any actual pupils from her classes, and then they'd leave the door unlocked and-
So, he's not feeling like he needs to double check himself as he makes his way to her classroom. He keeps his head high, because if he bumps into Tiff or Kailey, he's not going to say no to them joining either, and saunters his way into Jewels classroom.
Buck feels wrong footed when he opens the door, and there is a man standing at the front of the class. He takes half a step back to check the room number on the door, and it's definitely 217 which is the number Jewel had texted that afternoon when he'd been sexting her from his bunk.
Buck knows he should probably turn around, leave, get out of there, because he has plans with Jewel, except he can't seem to take his eyes off the back of the head of this guy's head.
He's big, and burly, with arms that look like they could do some damage, rivalling some of the bigger men at the Firehouse. They're shiny and look near throbbing, in the way that Buck tends to see from the men at the gym who've just spent an hour working out, beads of sweat along lines of muscle. The kind of men he spends hours talking to about their routine, their protein intake, what weight they've made it up to.
Men who like and appreciate a good workout. Men whose physique Buck admires. Men who Buck looks up and down and commits to memory for inspiration when they're sweaty and their gym clothes no longer hide anything.
And, well, Buck can see from across the room that mystery male yoga teacher is covered in sweat. The guy's tank top isn't hiding anything, stuck to him, and Buck sees his shoulder muscles outlined by the dark fabric.
There is a towel slung over his shoulders that looks equally soaked, catching the beads that roll down his neck.
Buck follows the towel down the planes of the guy's back, the tank top clings to his waist and Buck wants to suck the sweat out of it.
The thought feels like a bucket of water over his head, and he blinks.
What?
Buck's mouth feels dry, and his mind is spinning, completely caught off guard by the desire to quench himself with a strangers sweat, and he's still staring at the guy's hips. He can't stop his eyes drifting lower and over those shorts that are obviously for modesty's sake but are achieving nothing because they've risen up between the guy's asscheeks and are cupping them perfectly.
Buck wants to blame having come here already half-horny and ready for a fuck for the way that his blood is rushing.
A good ass is a good ass.
And mystery male yoga teacher has a delicious looking one.
Buck takes a step back, committing mystery male yoga teacher's back profile to memory, and ready to find Jewel and not think about this.
But then the door swings closed against Buck's ass, and he stumbles forward into the room.
Mystery male yoga teacher jumps up and spins around and, God, Buck kind of wishes he hadn't.
The guy's front is just as gorgeous as the back, hair sticking to his forehead. His pecs are incredibly perky, yet another thing that Buck notices in other men when he's at the gym, and the tank top has risen up slightly to show off a hint of his abs, and the start of the 'v' down towards his groin and Buck would love to get his tongue in that and-
"Can I help you?"
Buck's head snaps up to look at mystery male yoga teacher's face and becomes aware that his mouth is open, and he's been looking at the poor guy like he was a tall glass of water and Buck parched.
Buck unsticks his tongue from his bottom teeth, and swallows. "Hi."
Mystery male yoga teach does not look impressed. He raises his eyebrow, - Buck wonders how someone can have such blue eyes, he could get lost in them - and tilts his head to the side.
"Want to try that again?" He asks.
Buck nods, a little numbly, and now he's looking at the guy's face, he can't stop. Buck kind of wants to kiss the guy's cheek bones, nibble along his jaw, lick the cleft of his chin. Buck's vision whites a little, as he tries desperately to steer his thoughts away from horniness.
"I," Buck starts to say, and his voice cracks so harshly that Buck has to stop and clear his throat. Maybe he was thirsty. "I was here to see Jewel."
"Jewel?" Mystery male yoga teacher says, eyebrows furrowed, looking so adorably confused as his face scrunches up. "Jewel...I don't..." Tommy's face goes completely blank for a second. "Ah, right, Julie. You mean Julie, kid?"
"Sure," Buck agrees, because he doesn't know Jewel as Jewel, but he's fairly certain Tiff and Kailey hadn't used their names either.
Mystery male yoga teacher rolls his eyes. "She went home with the flu just before her last class," he says, "sorry, kid."
He turns away, leaning over to start packing the bag at his feet, and Buck can't help but look at the guy's ass again. Bent over, it only makes those shorts ride up even more, and Buck imagines crawling across the yoga classroom floor and burying his face between them.
Can't be much different than with a woman, right?
Buck kind of wants to be smothered by them, wants to let the guy use his tongue, to feel strong thighs around his head. Buck swallows, and runs his tongue along the inside of his mouth.
"Anything else?" Mystery male yoga teacher asks still bent over.
Buck shakes his head, and then breathes. "No, nope, I'm just-" admiring the view? "I'll be leaving," Buck settles for.
But he doesn't get the chance to move, because mystery male yoga teacher chooses that moment to squat, and his thighs flex and Buck's vision has full on spots dancing in them now, with how easily the other mans legs bend, and how flexible he looks fully squatted, but strong and so in control, because his ass is just inches from touching the ground.
The man bounces when he reaches the bottom of his squat, just slightly, two bounces with his legs spread and his ass dropped, and, fuck, Buck hates that Jewel has flu.
He's going to need to borrow the studios showers to douse himself, for sure, because there's no way he makes it home with how hot he feels right now.
"Look, kid, need me to pass on a message to Julie?" Tommy asks, twisting around - still squatting, how flexible is he? - and looking at Buck.
Buck fumbles to pull his phone out of his pocket. "Nah, I can just-" He clicks the button, only for the screen to stay black. Well, that explained why Jewel hadn't messaged him that it was off. "Damn," he mutters.
Mystery male yoga teacher raises an eyebrow.
"Yeah, actually, can you just tell her that..." Buck trails off, and his face feels warm, because she's not going to know his name, but he can't just tell this adonis his tinder name, and he doesn't tend to tell people outside his job that his nickname is Buck. "Tell her Evan stopped by."
Mystery male yoga teacher bounces on the balls of his feet and stands up, his bag slung over one shoulder, and shakes his head. There's something to his expression, mild disappointment, but also understanding. "Julie's not going to know you as Evan, is she?"
Buck wishes the floor would swallow him up, because this man has him pegged. Or maybe he just knows his coworker really well. Could be either. Buck refuses to be embarrassed by it though, and he shuffles on the spot, puffing out his chest a little, and swallows to steel himself.
"It's, uh, Firehose."
Buck braces himself for ridicule, maybe a laugh, but mystery male yoga teacher doesn't laugh. He smirks instead, and his eyes drift down to Buck's body, lingering on Buck's chest for a few seconds before landing on half-hard cock.
Mystery male yoga teacher's eyes go half lidded, his tongue runs along his lips, and he swallows before tilting his head to the side. Buck wants to preen because he just got checked out. He just got checked out by a hot guy, and based on the reaction, the hot guy liked what he saw.
"Is it now?" Mystery male yoga teacher's voice is just as dry as his expression had been earlier, and something about that flat tone, the obvious flirt in it, does something for Buck.
"People like to tell me it is, at least," Buck flirts back with a wink.
Mystery male yoga teacher's grip on his bag makes his knuckles white, and the man nods. "I guess if it's peer reviewed," he says, finally looking away from Buck's groin to his face, and raising an eyebrow.
"By many people," Buck says, and then flounders a little because he knows he wants to flirt, but he hasn't flirted with a guy before, is he doing it right? "Very good at putting out fires, the pressure has five stars, definitely who you want to call for your emergencies."
The guy barks out a laugh, and maybe Buck missed the mark with that one, but the way mystery male yoga teacher's face scrunches up as he smiles is something Buck wants to treasure.
"Okay, well, down boy," he says. The words send a sharp bolt of electricity down Buck's spine, his skin feels like it's on fire, and he inhales sharply. "I'll let Julie know Firehose was here for her, okay?"
Mystery male yoga teacher is moving closer, clearly ready to leave, and Buck knows he'll probably never see him again if he lets him leave.
"Or, or, you could not," Buck says, quickly, it rushes out of him. "I mean, I-"
All Buck's smoothness is gone, and mystery male yoga teacher is barely two feet away, and now Buck can smell him. He sways on the spot, wants to chase that smell, press his nose into it and smell it forever. Most men at the gym don't get this close, but Buck thinks the gym might be ruined forever if he ever reacts like this again.
"Jewel didn't even give me her name," Buck says, and steps closer to him, "can't have been that serious, you know?"
"You didn't give her yours either," the man points out, unimpressed.
Buck nods, shaking his head in a 'good point' motion. "Okay, but I gave it to you."
Mystery male yoga teacher laughs again. "When I asked you." The lilt to his voice is like a sirens call, and Buck wants to make him laugh again.
"I don't give it to just anyone." Buck tries his best to look up through half-lidded eyes, bites his lip in a way one of his older flings used to like, and softens his eyebrows to appear just a little bit younger.
It works like a charm.
"Jesus Christ," Mystery male yoga teacher whispers, "you're something else, Firehose."
"Evan," Buck corrects, and smirks, because hook, line, sinker, he's bagged himself another yoga teacher.
"Well, Evan-"
Holy fuck, Buck is fairly certain he could come from this man's voice alone, his name in this man's mouth is a weapon.
"-I'm Tommy."

star crossed loves au | connor bedard x kailey hughes au ↳ slowly, but surely. ↳ au masterlist!
warnings: angst, anxiety attack, swearing etc. also this takes place in feburary after his jaw fracture! word count: 2.2k. - longer than i expected lol
"do you wanna come to my game?" was a simple question, and one of innocence. kailey would give it that, but the deep feeling of dread was felt rather too quickly for her liking. she looked away from connor as the two were finishing up breakfast, hoping he wouldn't notice the uneasiness that plagued her features. he did. the two had been inseparable since new years, and had became official only a few days afterwards. ofcourse, he'd see the tension that sprang up in her features, the inability to look at him - especially in the eye - and the way that he body seemed to be folding in on itself. she stood up abruptly, bringing the plate back into the kitchen, and connor watched with a million questions buzzing around. she came back in and sat down, swirling her lukewarm coffee. "i um, i cant go." she said staring down the place mat. his eyebrows furrowed, "can't or won't go?" he questioned, hoping for some clarification. she made direct eye contact with him and gave him a small frown, "i wish i could go, i really do. but i can't bring myself to." she said bringing the last of the once hot liquid to her mouth. he shook his head, "you have to tell me what that means kails." he said setting down his fork now.
she sighed, setting the mug down. "i vowed to myself long ago that i'd never go to another hockey game in my life, let alone step into a rink once more." she paused sniffling, "that game ruined my childhood and my relationships with the rest of my family." she said and it felt like a dagger piercing his heart. "then why, why did you agree to be my girlfriend if you can't stand what i do?" he questioned without a second thought, and he could see how much it hurt the blonde. she made a tsk noise, "i can respect and support what you do from afar connor. but y'know now that you say that, why did i say yes? why did i say yes when i knew that i wouldn't be able to listen to the sound of skates hitting the ice when it really mattered? even if it was the stanley cup final, i wouldn't be able to do it because of how much it would make me sick." she finished, standing up and heading towards his condo door. "wait kail-" she cut him off with the front door opening. she stood between the threshold, looking back at connor. "you're right connor, how can i support you when i cant even support my own brothers?" she asked rhetorically before stepping full into the hallway and towards the elevator. as soon as she hit the elevator, she quickly began to cry while hunching over with her eyes shut. connor stood with his mouth agape, unsure if he should go after her or let her go. how could he let her go, when besides hockey- she was the thing he was most sure about in his life?
_
becca kaileys roommate and longtime best friend, could tell something off that morning when kailey came back to the apartment in a fit of rage. "what'd they do now?" kailey questioned, thinking her brothers said something stupid. "not them, him." she responded beginning to pace. "but its my fault, im the one who said yes without telling him i cant watch hockey. im the one who has wasted his time because why the hell would he date somebody who cant walk into an arena without throwing up?" she blurted as becca stood up, concern lacing her gaze. "hey kails? wanna sit down?" she questioned softly, wrapping her arms gently over her the blonde's. kailey immediately began to break down again, completely folding into becca's figure.
hockey was something that was seldom spoken about in the apartment. it was not off limits per se, but it was to be treaded lightly. unfortunately, kailey held a great amount of disdain for the sport and if it was mixed in with her brothers, it was a double whammy and usually ended in an anxiety attack. sure, she'd been to therapy for her childhood, jack and the topic of of hockey had come up many times. it was the reason why she was plucked away from her budding life in toronto, because they wanted the family to be with jack and usa hockey. it was why everything and everyone that she adored, was taken away from her. so she set up boundaries, and that meant no hockey. besides quinn's debut, no debut for luke or jack. no playoff games, nada nothing. her parents had respected her choice, and with the backing from her therapist - so did the rest of the family. this was something she didn't tell connor when they were talking during break before new years, because she knew that it would scare him away. just like it had now.
kaileys thoughts were interrupted, by a loud knock on their apartment door. "ill be right back." becca announced, standing up and walking towards the door. "ill be in my room." kailey responded, barely audible but becca picked it up. as soon as kailey was out of view, she opened the door to connor. who looked distraught, angry and sad all at the same time. "um hello?" becca said and connor opened the door, pushing his way inside. "where is she?" he asked flustered, and becca sighed. he met becca's gaze and snapped in her face, "becca, where is she?" he repeated and becca stood their in a shocked state. before becca could respond, they both heard a sob or more like a wrenching cry from kailey's bedroom. connor wasted no minute shoving off his shoes and throwing his jacket on becca, before heading down the hallway. becca could only chuckle in response, before sending him a salute as a joke and one that he didn't see. "go get em." she mumbled, before putting his stuff down.
connor knocked on the door before opening it, and as he opened it he found kailey on her bed. her head was in her hands and hunched over. his heart absolutely broke as he walked over, and sat beside kailey pulling her into his body. "its ok kails, I've got you." he whispered, repeating it every few seconds. "im not mad or upset, i promise." he whispered after a few minutes. her sobbing began to quiet down, but her breathing was still too heavy for his liking. "but you were right." she said after about ten minutes. he looked down and shook his head, "i was not right." he stated boldly. she pulled away from his chest, looking at him properly now. "you were right, why should i be your girlfriend if i cant support you on a nightly basis? its not fair to you con, its not." she said running a hand through her hair. "so what?" he questioned, and she looked at him. "so what? you matter more than hockey. yeah we may have only known each other for a month now, but I've never been more sure about somebody or something in my life besides hockey. you and our relationship im so sure about, ask any of the guys. they probably would tell you that im so disgustingly annoying." he mused causing her to giggle softly. "i promise that just because you choose not to watch hockey, doesn't mean that im gonna break up with you." he argued and she chuckled. "you don't like me enough to say and do that." she said rolling her eyes, and he shook his head. "no, i love you that's why." he confessed and she slowly looked back towards him. "wait...what?" she asked, barely breathing. he grinned before smiling, "i love you kailey clara and what are you gonna do about that?" he mused causing her to blush. she breathed in heavily why playfully rolling her eyes, "i can either kick you out or tell you that i love you back." she hummed, leaning closer towards him. "thankfully for you, its the latter." she hummed staring down his lips before pulling him in for a passionate and deep kiss.
the two pulled away after about ten seconds, pressing their foreheads against one another's. "as long as you say you're my number one fan we'll be good. this cements everything." he joked causing her to giggle. "you cheeky boy! but yes, good thing ill be your number one fan as long as you have me." she grinned before they kissed once more.
later on in the afternoon as the two cuddled with one another after connor's nose found solace in kaileys neck, the blonde spoke up. "i promise connor, to open myself up to hockey. i promise im going to try, ok?" she questioned turning around to face him. he had a small hopeful smile grace his features, "slowly but surely kails." he hummed before pulling her into his chest and placing a kiss on her head.
_
it was two weeks later, and after a black graphic t-shirt of connor came in- her and becca were off to a game against the florida panthers. the two walked arm and arm towards the 300's section wanting to experience it in the 'trenches' kailey had always called them, and experience it with some die hard fans. and, far enough away that nobody on the team or their partners would recognize her. she wanted to surprise connor.
"i feel like i could vomit." she confessed, sitting next to becca who only gave her an encouraging smile. "the game's underway, maybe that'll distract?" she questioned and kailey could only laugh in response. the two's attention focused on the game, and some point during it she had sent a text to not only tessa, alex vlasics girlfriend but her mom as well, sealing it with a picture of her view. her mom and dad gushed and sent words of encouragement and tessa begged for her to meet them after the game in the wags and family box. to which kailey responded, was a tba. the blackhawks ended up wining 3-1 with connor getting a goal and two assists. and with being on somewhat of a high, she told tessa that they would meet her in the 200's section. tessa stood their waiting for them and as soon as she saw them, she began to jump up and down with excitement. "im so happy you're here!!!" tessa gushed, pulling kailey in for a huge hug. she then moved towards becca and the two of them hyped the youngest hughes up. "oh my god, stopppp." she said blushing. "can you not, were in public you two." as the two girls highfived each other. "what?! this is a big deal girlfriend. you made it through the entire game." becca said shaking the girl just a bit. tessa's phone dinged with a text from alex, him and connor were walking towards the box now.
"get your ass in there, now." tessa demand pointing back towards the box door and becca quicky pulled her inside. becca smiled and waved to some of the girl's she had met at new years with kailey, and they were all happy to see kailey. finally. "im nervous beccs." kailey said in a whisper and becca smiled, "he'll be happy to see you chica." she smiled down at her best friend who only nodded.
kailey heard his voice before she saw him, and once becca looked behind her she turned around. connor hadn't taken notice yet but once tessa made a nonchalant comment, he quickly looked around the now - desolate- room and then his eyes landed on her. she smiled softly, once their eyes connected. he smiled, and then made his way over ot the girl. he pulled her in for a big hug without a word, his nose finding the crook of her neck. "hi pretty girl." he whispered, and she found herself blushing like a fool. "hey superstar." she grinned, before he pulled back a bit to look at her. then he noticed the t-shirt and he smiled, taking a step back to inspect it. "oh, i brought it just for this occasion." she grinned making him chuckle just a bit. "its my face." he said a bit stunned, "it is your face." becca said monotoned which made kailey snicker. "its alright, he's got a pretty face." she teased, "a pretty face, huh?" they heard Phillip kurashev tease and that made connor roll his eyes. "pretty pretty connor!" kevin joined in causing more chuckles to arise, "lets go pretty boy!" mackenzie entwistle teased, and kailey smiled softly.
"come on pretty boy." she teased, beginning to walk out with everybody else. "i should put that as your new name in my phone." becca mused, typing away on her phone. "i swear to god becca if you do!" connor threatened playfully, "you'll what?" she grinned back. "ill tell your little secret..." connor began only for becca to hear and that made becca grow quiet. "you wouldn't dare,🖕🏻" she texted and connor only giggled in response as they walked towards connor car.
so what secret, connor baby? lmao

You know what? I'm bored. Let's stur the pot a little. @mystic-warriors already has a series on "what your favorite yokai says about you" so this is:
What your favorite yokai watch ship says about you; wild accusation edition!
(Take all of this with a grain of salt.)
Natie(Nate x Katie): you're boring. You ship the Canon ships in everything because you lack imagination, and you probably love Shadowside, and we're made when Katie wasn't initially playable in 3
Nailey(Nate x hailey): you're ideal relationship dynamic is wacky hijinks in which shenanigans ensue. Yokai watch 3 is probably your favorite game, and you're likely a weeb.
Bucknate: you're ideal relationship dynamic is wacky hijinks in which shenanigans ensue. Yokai watch 3 is probably your favorite game, and you're likely gay or a fujoshi
Bucknaily(Buck x Nate x Hailey): you're ideal relationship dynamic is the three stooges. And 3 is definitely your favorite game.
Kailey(Katie x Hailey): be it lesbian or bi, you are of the opinion there is no universe in which Hailey Anne Thomas is straight
Beddie(bear x Eddie): you ship the leftovers since you know they're never gonna be as important as the other guys
Lucanate(Nate x lucas): you think lucas desperately deserved more screen time
Keiyuto(keita/Nate x Yuto): you really like the second movie, and it amazes you more people don't bring up the time Nate talked someone out of suicide.
Jailey(Hailey x Jessica) same as the Kailey shippers, but you acknowledge mainline Hailey and Katie have never properly met.
Hailibel(Hailey x Isabel): same as the kailey shippers, but you're ideal relationship dynamic is nerd x prep.
Nate x blizzaria: you're probably a Japanese fan, Blizzaria is your favorite yokai, and you subsist purely on fanart.
Damonate(Nate x Damona): same as the last one just switch out the ice bitch. You also probably prefer goths, are aware Nate is canonically attracted to aggressive women... or you're name is Chiaki amf studios. XP
Nate x Toiletta: you acknowledge that Toiletta has a pretty screwed up backstory due to being Hanako-San, and want good things for her.
Katie x Venoct: you are just the Blizzaria x Nate shippers but with the opposite genders, and an unhealthy attachment to Sasuke.
Katie x kyubi: you ship this out of pity for Kyubi. This is a pity ship.
Most Manjimutt ships: jail.
Manjimutt x mermother: you either really like that one episode of the reboot, or your a couple of my friends who hate how the anime portrayed Manjimutt and want to give him something good.(you know who you are.)
Arachnius x toadel dude: i don't think there's anything I can say that hasn't already been said about you.
Robonyan x B3-NK1: you're either gay, a fujoshi, or you just respect they managed to have a robot cat get pegged on a shos that aired on DISNEY.
And that's about all I can think of right now :P.
If this post does well enough I'll think of more

A Visit To Manchester - [Lucie x Connor]
Summary: Connor takes a day trip home to tell his parent his surprising news.
Word count: 2.7k
Connor puts his SUV in park in the driveway of his parents Manchester, Massachusettes home. It is a massive, sprawling mansion in the town his dad grew up in. Connor smiles, thinking about his Grandpa Randy and the legacy he left behind for them in this town. He also helped his dad build pieces of this house and everytime Connor comes here, he feels his presence. Connor blows out a sigh, hoping his grandpa will help give him the strength to disappoint his dad.
Other sons may be excited to tell their dad about becoming a grandparent. Connor doesn’t feel that way. He knows his dad is going to be upset. It’s been itching at his brain since he and Lucie reconciled a few weeks ago. He wishes she was here. She had planned to be, but she woke up too sick and nauseous to sit in the car for the 4 hour drive down the East Coast.
So he is in this alone. Although truthfully, he thinks that is probably for the best, something he didn’t want to tell Lucie about. She’s already feeling enough guilt and worry about being a young mother. He doesn’t want to add worries about his family not liking her to that. Plus, Connor knows that isn’t the case. It’s just… complicated. Like this whole having a baby thing has been since basically conception.
Inside the garage, Connor’s dad, Miles, tinkers around his tool bench amidst his mom’s latest restoration project. When Connor pops his door open, his dad turns towards the driveway. He puts his hands on his hips, raising his eyebrows in a “what are you doing here?” way.
“Hey.” Connor calls with a wave before adjusting his hat on his head. He didn’t have time to shower before he left. He was too busy holding Lucie’s hair back from her mouth over the toilet. Fuck, he wants to get back to her as soon as possible. He wants to make sure she is okay. He thought he was protective over her before, but nothing matches the feelings he has about Lucie now that she is carrying his child.
The wind whistles through the circular driveway as Connor shoves his hands in the pockets of his jacket to join his dad in the garage. He pulls them out again to clasp his dad into a hug.
“Good to see you, buddy. No Lucie today?”
“Ah, she’s not feeling well.” Connor fills in. “She says hi though.”
“Bummer.” Miles frowns. “Mom was excited to have another artistic eye on this piece.” He motions to the sanded down wood which looks to be a dresser.
“We can send her a picture.” Connor assures, knowing that would be a welcome distraction for Lucie. “What is mom wanting to do with it?”
“Paint it bright orange.”
“Yuck.” Connor laughs with his dad, both their giggles floating to his mom, Kailey, who stands in the doorway, watching their curled heads bob in unison with their laughter.
“Lucie would understand the vision.” She insists, coming to her son. She runs a hand up his back. Connor sighs, falling down into her embrace by bending his knees. He breathes in her familiar vanilla scent mixing with the wintry sea breeze. “Hi baby.” She says, giving him one more extra squeeze. Connor reluctantly releases her, but keeps an arm around her shoulder. The three of them turn their attention back to the stripped dresser.
“You really think orange is going to get this thing sold?” Miles wonders aloud.
“Yeah, the 70s are making another comeback!”
“Yuck.” Miles looks at her, blue eyes sparkling teasingly.
“You have no vision.” She quips back, narrowing her eyes playfully. “I bet this would look great in your bedroom, baby.” She directs at Connor.
“No.” Connor says immediately. “Not if it’s going to be orange.”
“You know, I had a kid so they would always agree with me. Now you’re siding with your dad?”
“Gotta throw him a bone once and a while.” Connor grins down at her. She groans, pressing her nose into his chest to hide her smile then walking off to run her fingers along the wood top, likely checking for places she may need to sand over again. “I have to finish this today. Dad and I are going to pick up this old crib tomorrow. I’m restoring it for your cousin, Caitlin. She’s having another boy.”
“Ah.” I fill in, swallowing hard. I wonder if that’s what Lucie and I are having. But truthfully, I don’t care either way. I just want a healthy baby- half me and half Luc.
“She keeps insisting she wants white, but I saw her eyeing a light blue one I re-did a few months ago that is currently in the shop. So, I’ll probably do that.”
“Nice.” Connor nods along, feeling his nerves begin to expand in his chest. He swallows hard, digging his hands back into his pockets. They ball into fists as he folds his bottom lip between his teeth. Silence settles between them and he takes the opportunity to look at both his parents. They seem to be in a good enough mood.
“Uh.” Connor clears his throat of the anxious mucus coating it. “I actually have something to tell you both.” His heart pounds in his chest. “Well, Lucie and I do.” He corrects himself. This isn’t only his news. It’s hers too. Fuck, he wishes she was here.
Across from him, his mom tilts her head expectantly while his dad’s eyebrows furrow. He knows. If his mom does, she doesn’t show it. But she’s always been the calmer one.
“We are having a baby.” Connor exhales the words. A heavy silence fills the garage for a beat and Connor immediately has to fill it. “In November.” His dad’s nose, bent from years of fighting in the NHL, scrunches.
“Lucie is pregnant?” He repeats back to the garage.
“Yeah. It’s early, but that’s why she isn’t here. She’s been pretty sick.” Connor rubs the back of his neck, eyes floating between his parents. His mom has a slow smile forming over her face and wetness collecting along her lower lids. Connor smiles back at her.
“Wow.” His dad scoffs. “We are so-”
“Happy for you!” His mom darts in. She rushes around the big bench, throwing herself into her son for a huge hug. She sways them back and forth, squeezing his cheek to hers. He looks at his dad over her small shoulder, who is definitely not pleased with the news.
“Thanks, mama.”
“Ah! I’m so excited! Screw Caitlin. I’m gonna get this crib for you and Luc.”
“That would be really nice.” He says, trying to look at her and not at the angry scowl across his dad’s face.
“So…” His dad starts, making Connor’s mom tense next to him.
“Miles.” She grumbles in warning.
“I tell you at the start of this season that you need to really dig deep and focus. Which you don’t do, ending up in a trade, and then to put a cherry on top, you knock up your girlfriend? Who is what? Barely 22 and hasn’t finished college yet.”
“Yeah. I did it just to piss you off.” Connor snaps back, annoyed at his condescending tone.
“Miles. Lay off.” Kailey warns.
“No, we raised him better than this.”
“Sure, but I guess the apple doesn’t fall that far from the tree.” Connor retorts, squaring his shoulders. Who the fuck is he to lecture him on unplanned pregnancies?
“Boys, I’m serious. Knock it off. Let’s go inside and talk about how we can support Connor and Lucie during this big milestone.” Connor and Miles stare each other down, almost daring each other to cross the line further. Kailey wisely steps between them, creating an obstacle just in case this goes sideways. Instead, Miles snorts, shaking his head before he walks off towards the backyard without another word. “He’s surprised.” Kailey immediately tries to justify. Connor looks down at her with disappointed eyes. “He’ll have to process in his time, babe.”
“I love Lucie, Mom.” Connor says, not understanding his dad’s difficulty in grasping this as a good thing.
“I know, hon. She is wonderful and good to you. We love her.” She nods and stops talking, like a few more words were behind that sentence. Eventually she sighs and says, “Did you go to an ultrasound yet?”
“Yeah.” Connor smiles widely, digging his phone out of his pocket.
They stand in the garage, flipping through the pictures he and Lucie have electronically and the video of a tiny blob wiggling in black and white.
“Ugh, this brings me back!” She chuckles, rubbing at his back. “Seeing you on that ultrasound was indescribable. So much joy and being scared shitless.” She shakes her head. “Your dad looked like he was gonna pull all those pretty curls out of his head.”
“I felt like the whole world shifted when the heartbeat played through the room.”
“Are you going to find out the gender?”
“Lucie is the mother of my child. Yeah, we are finding out.” He chuckles.
“What does she think it is?”
“Girl.”
“Oooo, the Woods aren’t really known for girls.” She murmurs, biting her lip. “But I’m with whatever Lucie thinks.” She wiggles her eyebrows. “Are you hungry? I made some brownies last night. Your dad ate half of them but there are still some left.” Connor trails behind her as she continues to talk. She does her best to take his mind off his dad’s reaction and sudden escape from the conversation.
But it becomes harder and harder the longer his dad remains absent from the conversation. After a few hours, Connor hits the bathroom, then texts Lucie after washing his hands.
How you doing?
Not good. Are you on your way back yet?
I’ll head out soon. I’m sorry you’re having a rough day, baby. Can I grab anything on my way home?
Um some crackers? Maybe gatorade.
You got it. I love you.
We love you too.
Connor smiles at her mention of we. He inhales heavily, looking at himself in the mirror. He looks tired, slightly older than he remembers looking with dark bags under his eyes. Lucie hasn’t been sleeping well and when she’s up, he is up. Longer, dark stubble coats his jaw more than usual and he kinda sees what his dad’s concerns may have been. Lucie has been pregnant for 9 weeks and he is already feeling it- physically, mentally, and emotionally. He can’t imagine how she feels, having some of the same emotions with a lot more of the physical burden. With that in mind, he rolls his shoulders back, perking himself up for the four hour drive back to her.
“Hey, I’m gonna head out. Get back to Luc.” He says to his mom, heading to the fridge to grab a Red Bull.
“Okay, baby. Thank you for coming to see us. Keep me in the loop on how things are going, okay? I texted Lucie, but have her call me when she’s feeling up to it.”
“Will do.” He says, then wraps his arms around her, squeezing tight.
Connor stuffs his feet back into his sneakers in the mudroom, then pulls open the garage door while taking another hearty swig of the energy drink. He glances to the right, seeing his dad back to tinkering at the tool bench. Clearly that’s more important than being inside with him and his mom.
Dick.
His dad glances over at him, but doesn’t offer any words to Connor as he heads towards his car. Connor doesn’t bother saying goodbye either.
As Connor pulls out of the driveway, his dad’s identical blue eyes sweep over him with a disappointed tint. It lodges in Connor’s chest, burning him up with acid and the realization that he let his dad down. Connor swallows hard, turning the wheel with the heel of his hand then speeding off back to New York where his girl needs him.
He drums his thumb on the steering wheel, feeling his chest tighten and his throat begins to close up. By the time he hits I-95, he can barely see the road from his tears.
Connor may barely be a father, and he sure as hell doesn’t have all the answers, but he would never let his kid drive away feeling like he feels right now.
With an angry jab at the display on his center console, he calls his dad. The ring shrills through the surrounding speakers, making Connor’s blood pressure soar.
“Con-”
“I’ve got something to say to you and I’m man enough to say it, so shut up and listen.” He brings both hands on the leather steering wheel, white knuckling it. “This is a surprise to us too. We fucked up, okay. We fucking know that. We don’t need a lecture about it. And you’re going to be a grandparent, whether you like it or not. But I’m telling you right now, don’t bother stepping into that role until you’re fucking ready to. My kid deserves better than whatever the hell that was back there.”
“Buddy, I’m just-”
“I don’t give a shit what you are. This isn’t about you, dad. This is about us. We are starting our family. One that we really want. The love of my life is having my baby. She’s bringing life into this world for us, and if you can’t support that, then you need to stay away from us until you can show up the way that we need you to. The way that I need you to.” His voice waivers with that last sentence.
“I love you. I’m here for you.” His dad responds tightly. Connor can tell he is trying not to cry.
The line goes quiet and Connor does too. He swallows thickly, taking a hand off the wheel to wipe his cheeks.
“Babies change everything.” Miles says quietly. “You flipped my whole world upside down when we had you. I don’t know if you’re ready for that.” Connor narrows his eyes, huffing his exhale.
“I don’t have a choice. I have to be. Maybe you could learn something from that.” Connor snaps, then clicks end.
The whole drive back to New York, Connor’s body stays tense. By the time he pulls into a parking spot, his whole body aches. He unlocks the front door, immediately confronted with the adorable sight of Lucie sleeping, curled up on the couch, hugging herself. He smiles, going over to kiss her cheek and gently moving her hair off her face. She doesn’t stir, passed out from utter exhaustion. Connor glances over the back of the couch, seeing Lio making something for himself at the kitchen stove.
“Oh fuck.” Connor whines as he opens the fridge for a beer. He sees the blue gatorade sitting mostly empty on the shelf next to the Budweiser, reminding him of the missed stop he forgot on the way home.
“I got her more. And the crackers. She couldn’t wait.” Lio fills in, pausing Connor’s turn back towards the door.
“Thanks, man.” Connor sighs, popping the top off his beer bottle and flicking it towards the trash. It bounces off the side. Connor ignores it, too damn tired to walk over there and pick it up.
“How did it go?”
Connor shoots an annoyed look at Lio over the amber bottle of beer.
“That good huh?” Lio jokes. “To be fair, I’m not sure the conversation with my dad would go any better.”
“Yeah, but you’re you. And who the fuck would that kid be with?” Connor snorts. “It’s not the same. Lucie is going to be my wife.” Lio smiles, a genuinely sweet smile that has Connor smiling too.
“Damn, I knew this would happen. You two would meet and fall in love and change the whole world. That kid is so damn lucky to have you two as its parents.”
Just like that, Lio’s words soothe everything that happened today. Because he is right.
This kid hit the jackpot.
Connor is going to make sure they know that, everyday that he is on this Earth, getting to be their dad

the russian boy//part six
warnings: swearing, mention’s of blood, mention’s of violence
lowercase intended
part six: the deal
i walk out of the bathroom, my thoughts in a 𝚝𝚑𝚎 blur. fuck fuck fuck fuck. why did i do that. why the fuck did i do that. my feet take me outside to the parking lot, im on autopilot. i walk to boris's car and open the drivers side door falling into his lap sobbing. "lucy?", i can hear theo say as i sob into boris's t shirt. "what happened? what's wrong?", boris says lifting me up and walking me to the back seat, placing me and himself back in the car. he looks at my hands, "fuck, are you bleeding?", he says worried. he tries to take one of my hands but as soon as i touches it i recoil back in pain. i shake my head no and look at theo. "it was the girl from english,", i turn my head to boris, "your ex girlfriend.", i say embarrassed. i realize im crying and wipe my clean hand across my cheek. boris looks at theo, "go back inside theo, we leave now. i pick you up later, yes?.", he says. theo, who's mouth is open in horror and confusion, nods and crawls across to the drivers side and leaves the car. boris lifts my chin up, "i take you to my house now, ok? we talk there.", he says before opening the back door and getting back in the drivers seat. the ride home is silent. the only thing i hear is my heart pounding and the thoughts racing through my head. he's going to hate me. i just met him yesterday and have already punched his ex like some crazy obsessed girlfriend. he's gonna get scared and never talk to me again. in a month theo and him will laugh about the crazy bitch they spent the night with one night and freaked out the next day. he pulls into his driveway and gets out of the car. as i hold my head down in shame and anger, he opens the back door. "let's go inside.", he says holding out his hand to me. i grab it, flinching from the pain in my own hand when i do so. we walk inside, my hand still in his as he leads me to the kitchen sink. as soon as he lets go of my hand i cover it with my other. he looks at me, "let me see.", he says looking in my puffy eyes. i bring my hand up, limp, as he takes it and examines it. "it's not broken,", he says, "is good thing, we won't have to go to hospital.", he tells me with a serious yet sympathetic voice. he runs the water at the kitchen sink, and puts my hand under it. i wince in pain as he softy cleans kailey's blood off of it. i'm a horrible person. sure she might have said something's i didn't deserve, but she definitely didn't deserve to get punched for it. my thoughts are interrupted as he turns off the water and leads me to the small couch in the living room. he picks popchyk, who was peacefully sleeping, up off the couch and places him on the floor. he sits me and himself down and lifts my head up to look at me. "what happened?", he asked in a caring tone. i take a deep breath, "i walked into the bathroom and i swear i didn't even realize it was her. she started saying all this stuff to me, telling me i was a slut, saying that i slept with you, saying that everyone at school would know how easy i am. i promised didn't even make the connection to who she was till i-", he cuts me off. "till you put her in her place.", he says. confusion twists around my face. is he not pissed at me? is he not scared of my outburst? does he not think i'm some psycho bitch? he sees the look on my face and speaks again, "she can be a real bitch. you stood up for yourself. you didn't take her shit.", he says still holding my face. i spit out the first words i can think of, "your not mad?", i say still shocked. this makes him laugh, "ha! mad? no, i'm proud new girl. you've got balls. she's fucking crazy! anyone at school will tell you that.", he says smiling. he seems almost amused? even maybe impressed? "i promise i wasn't being a weirdo crazy bitch when i did it, i was just so..so fucking mad she would talk to me like that.", i say remembering the way she spoke to me. "trust, she's gotten her ass beat plenty times for running her mouth.", he tells me.
"well why hasn't she learned her fucking lesson yet? boris she was talking about you like you two were...a thing. tell me if there's something there, cause if there is i shouldn't be sharing a bed with you, i shouldn't be wearing your clothes, i shouldn't be-", he cuts me off again, but not with words this time. he cuts me off with a kiss. he pulls away and looks at me, "ive been wanting to do that since yesterday. nothing between me and her. but something between us, yes? i know it's fast but i feel it.". my mind is in jumbles, i don't understand what just happened. i don't understand what to say. of course i feel the same way, but everything is happening too fast. i don't want to rush into something with a kid i just fucking met yesterday. i'm not twelve years old, i don't just get into a relationship with the first guy who shows interest in me. but fuck. there's something special about this russian boy. my body overpowers my mind. i kiss him back.
i pull away as soon as my mind realizes what im doing. "i-i can't be in a relationship right now. i can't be the girl who gets into a relationship with someone she just met. i'm not that type of person.", i stutter, i honestly can't tell if im saying this for him to understand, or for me. he smiles and shrugs his shoulders unfazed by my words. "i guess we won't call this a relationship then, we'll call it...", he thinks for a moment, "a friendship. but the kind where im allowed to do this," he leans in and kisses me again. he pulls away, "and you tell me when you want to call it something different, yes?", he says with a smile. fuck. i look at him as he waits for my answer, "we can't tell anyone, not theo, not anyone at school. not until we figure out if the connection is genuine, or just some random physical attraction. understood?", i say in the most serious tone i can muster. "like secret. yes, i can keep us a secret until you're ready.", he says thinking about my words and taking in exactly what they mean. "it's a deal.", he says holding out his hand. i take his hand , "it's a deal", i say shaking it. "ow fuck!", i say when i pull my hand back. he laughs, "come new girl, let's get you some ice for that right hook.", he says helping me off the couch. this is either going to be amazing, or the worst decision i've ever made.
authors note:
sorry for the short part!
hope you all liked this! i decided to give the people what they want and started to make things between lucy and boris a little more interesting. i was gonna wait a few parts to start their "romantic relationship", but i think this works well considering the tension between them.

SWORDTEMBER '24, DAY 16: CLOWN
Item ID: HH-2416 Item Name: Honker’s Segmented Blade-Whip Category: A-4 Origin Point: Kidd Kailey’s Intergalactic Carnival Owner: Honker McBastion Description: [This item is primarily a show prop, intended to be used by a trained professional in a controlled setting, for entertainment purposes. Employees of the Federal Port Authority tasked with handling this item should take great care, in spite of the whimsical appearance. Misuse can still cause property damage or bodily harm.] A segmented sword, approximately 70 cm in length with a 14cm handle while in its default configuration. The blade itself is primarily a stark white, with swirls of red painted across the flat of it. Only one in three of the segmented sections are kept sharp for various tricks. At the bottom of the hilt is a decorative red sphere, similar to a “clown nose” (see file EC-4471-H4) which squeaks when squeezed, while the guard of the item resembles an oversized bowtie. The handle is wood painted with a pinstripe pattern. At the press of a button, the segments of the blade unlock, separating to allow the item to be used as an unconventional whip. Connecting the segments are cloth ribbons tied together, alternating in colors red, yellow, blue, and green. There is no clear mechanism for how the ribbons fit inside the sword, nor how they retract when the button is pressed for a second time. Cataloger’s Notes: I… cannot believe the owner of this thing… is named… Honker. His legal first name! HIS BIRTH NAME. That man was destined to be a clown, I guess. The folks at the circus were also very thankful for my assistance, and apologetic for getting the initial forms incorrect, so they offered me a few free tickets to their next show. I’ve never actually been to the circus before, most of the ones that come through are a LOT more expensive. Honestly, I probably would have been able to go to Kidd Kailey’s even if they hadn’t given me free entry. Naomi is excited to go with me, apparently she hasn’t been since she was a kid.
-----
It had been a stressful week at work, certainly, with Cynthia’s boss officially announcing his upcoming “retirement” (everybody in the office knows that he was given the option to quit or be fired), as well as an unusual spike in item confiscation. Plenty of employees elected to take overtime, including herself. Now that the week is finally at its end, she can enjoy some time with her girlfriend, on a well-earned date night. Even if it’s not something she had ever really imagined doing on a date.
Like watching a starstruck Naomi participate in a pre-show juggling lesson, taught by none other than the ringleader themselves: Kidd Kailey.
“Ooh, so close! You’re doing quite well for a beginner, almost like this isn’t the first time you’ve tried juggling,” Kidd Kailey says, the second part in a stage whisper, her hand covering her mouth. Immediately, Naomi’s cheeks go pink, and she stutters out a few words that get jumbled together. Despite the way her tongue trips over itself, the meaning is parsed, and Kailey lets out a gentle, almost soothing laugh. “Nothing to be embarrassed about, dear, I’ve lost count of how many souls I’ve met that once dreamt of joining the circus. From scientists to pilots, from soldiers to politicians… even a few members of royalty. It’s a common enough dream, to want to spread joy wherever you go. No shame in taking up other things, though, as long as you still find ways to spread that joy. Now, I’m afraid I need to finish setting up for tonight’s show, but why don’t you go show that partner of yours what you’ve learned?”
With that, she bid farewell to the others gathered, then slipped away. Smiling softly, Naomi takes a moment to collect herself and admire the free juggling kit she’d been using. It’s rather simple, just a few colorful balls with the circus’ logo on them, as well as a bag to keep them in. But there’s something else, too, that hadn’t been there a few moments earlier: An autograph. That excites her even more, and she’s quick to rush back to Cynthia to show off her new trophy (as well as her renewed talent).
They spend another twenty minutes like that, and Cynthia even makes an earnest attempt at juggling. Eventually it’s almost time for the main show to begin, so they turn off their phones, find their seats, and get settled in for a good time. Nothing could ruin their night, nor add any stress. Come tomorrow, they’d be in a much better place to deal with the shifting of Cynthia’s workplace… and the new messages from her coworkers.

In what fucking world is Hailey's On It a fantasy cartoon? And why the hell would it belonging to that incredibly broad genre make it not worth watching in and of itself?? I literally just can not think of any way that Hailey's On It could be even remotely connected into being a part of the fantasy genre, as there’s just no elements of the fantasy genre in it to speak of. Honestly, I’d say that its a sci-fi comedy more than anything else, and I say that as somebody who has quite enjoyed watching some fantasy cartoons. So how the fuck could you possibly think that that show belongs in FANTASY of all genres??? That just doesn’t make any sense.
Don’t watch the show if you don’t want to, but don’t lie about is just because you can’t be fucking bothered to diversify your media diet a little bit and actually watch something NEW for a fucking change. Pretty much everything about this show is as far from the things you claim to hate about so many other cartoons/movies from the past several years that you’ve refused to watch too. So if you just don’t want to watch ANY cartoons or TV shows anymore, just fucking say so instead of making up bullshit excuses to keep yourself from expanding your tastes. Holy shit, I expect that you’d next try to claim that you didn’t want to watch Wallace and Gromit because IT was somehow “ThE nExT fAnTaSy CaRtOoN” if it fucking came out today!
Lol hoes mad.
Anyway have fun with Bailey Does Shit or whatever the fuck you’re into these days imma keep it real in the taste zone.
Edit: SITCOM ANON IM SO SORRY THAT KAILEY FUCKS UP MASK YOU HAD ON HID YOUR IDENTITY FROM ME MAH DARLING

Delian: Nice to meet you, Erato! If you’re an Othonos, whatever you’re writing can't be silly. My mom has a collection of writings from an Othonos. I think her name was Kailey? Katelyn? Ka-
Erato: Kalliope. She was my grandmother, her writing is something I look to for inspiration. Though, she wrote epic poetry and I’m more into… romance.
Delian: Don’t say it like it’s a bad thing, I’m sure your romance books will be epic too!
Erato: *Chuckles* I mean she wrote epics, it’s a type of poetry. By comparison, romance is seen as… low brow.

CONGRATULATIONS, Kailey! You have been accepted into the group as Regina Mills. Please make sure to follow our checklist, and let us know if you have any questions!
OOC Information
Your Name/Alias: Kailey/ Kails
Your Age: 27
Timezone: EDT
Rate Your Activity: I would say like a 6ish
RPing experience: Oh gosh like 14 years
IC Information
Desired Character: Regina Mills
Second Character: Ivy Belfrey (I know she isn’t there till season 7)
Writing Sample:
Why did you challenge Emma when she arrived in town?
Are you talking about the woman who wants to take my child away from me?
Ms. Swan is no more than a convict who is incapable of being a mother. Her coming here is nothing more than a sick joke.
I am Henry’s mother and I need to protect him, even if he doesn’t agree with me.
I will do what I must to get her to leave.
Do you believe in happy endings? If so, what is yours?
What kind of happy ending do you think I deserve? Does the name Evil Queen ring a bell? Even when this entire town doesn’t remember anything, they still treat me like a monster. They think I should rot, perish in some dungeon. If they can get a happy ending, why can’t I?
If I had a choice in the matter, my happy ending would be to live with my son, away from all these people. We would have a happy life, one where he would be safe. Is that too much to ask for?
Do you miss having magic while you’re in Storybrooke?
Having magic would make things much easier here. But bringing magic in would allow more than just me to have it. I’m not sure if I want certain people here to have access to it.
Look at the things I did back in the Enchanted Forest, imagine what they would do to me here now that we’re trapped inside the town line. I’m the biggest target here, and once they realize that, I’m done for.
Do you consider yourself a good mother?
I am a good mother, who would do anything to protect her son. Henry is the most important person in the world to me, and as his mother, I need to make sure he is okay.
At least I love and care for my son. You show me someone who loves their child more, I can assure you, you won’t find anyone close. The lengths I’ve gone to make sure he is safe surpass the qualifications of a good mother.

little lion | Luke hughes au! ↠ v day in nyc. - blurb. ↠ au Masterlist! ↠ warnings: none! just very cheesy in the beginning lol. ↠ word count: 1.2k.
lion woke up on the 11th of feburary with kisses to her cheeks and giggling, as she peeked one eye open. her mouth turned upward as she realized that it was luke leaning over as he said next to her, with his face only mere inches away from the girl's. "goomorning." he mumbled placing a kiss on the tip of her stubby nose, causing her to blush profusely as she rolled over onto her side. luke chucked softly, setting the flowers on the ground next to the bed before dramatically plopping his hands on both sides of her, and began to tickle her. which, were the absolute death of her.
"luuuuuuuuke!" she screamed through fits of her's and his laughter. "stop stop stop!" she screamed squirming to get away from him, which resulted in her falling off the other side of her full bed. "don't touch no!" she said as he leaned over to check on her, and she quickly shot up into a fake dramatic fighting stance. she raised her fists near her face, squinting as she did. luke sat on his knees with an amused look on his face, "gonna throw a couple?" he teased and then she threw a fake punch. he dodged it, and she tried again and he took the 'blow' to the chest. "oh! my heart!" he said dramatically before pulling her into his chest and plopping her back down on the bed. he hovered over her, and pulled some stray hair that fell out of her loose braid, behind her ears. "you look beautiful, as always." he smiled staring into her eyes and she blushed. "thankyou lukey. also, thankyou for the 7:30 wake-up call." she teased, groaning playfully. "we've got things to do, places to go, and people to see." he said getting off of her and pulling her out of bed. "oh god, if i have to see jack this morning im gonna riot." she teased heading to her ensemble washroom. luke stayed silent, but followed her to the washroom. she began to brush her teeth and stared at luke, with a death glare. "he's actually waiting downstairs." luke finally responded, and lion smiled.
"well ill be sure to take my sweet time getting ready." she grinned before starting her skincare.
_
the couple and jack walked into a small cafe in chinatown, as kailey was craving a matcha that morning. the three quickly ordered before sitting down, at a small table in the back. "so! hows the girlfriend prospect's coming along?" kailey blurted and luke froze, as he waited for jack's response. jack's mouth twitched into a sly grin, before shaking his head. "still no luck on that." jack answered honestly, and kaiely nodded. "but happy valentines day to you too, little ovi." jack said mockingly. kailey rolled her eyes as she crossed her arms, "you should be grateful i didn't kick you out of the drivers seat earlier. you should be grateful i let you in on our little vday, j.j." she taunted and luke felt himself stifle a laugh. jack gawked "thought we said no j.j." he mumbled. "all bets are off today, j.j" she shrugged as they set down the matcha's for jack and her, and a coffee for luke.
"i dont know how you guys can drink grass, pure grass." luke said sippig his iced americano. jack laughed as kailey glared at him, "this grass you happen to dislike is good! so hush." she teased. "anywho, im getting sick and tired of this pity party." she paused returning her attention to jack, and motioned with her hands over him, "that im taking it upon myself to set you up little boy." she announced. jack went to dispute while luke chuckled. "unless you consider nico your partner, then i guess were good." kailey added for an extra push. jack rolled his eyes looking up at the ceiling while luke snickered. "shutup before i dump my matcha on you." jack taunted and kailey brought up her's to her lips before winking at him, "whatever you say lil jizzy."
_
luke and lion walked into her apartment building, after spending the morning and early afternoon frolicking around manhattan after jack dropped them off. they walked from upper manhattan down to greenwhich that late afternoon, stopped at a small supermarket, brought frozen pizza, and supplies for cupcakes. and luke ofcourse, had to get her another set of flowers- roses this time because her face lit up as they walked through the front doors of the store. she told luke no, but he got them anyways for her.
the two headed up the two flights to her and her roommates - rain - apartment, and saw that the lights were off - indicating that nobody was home. she flicked on the living room light's and then towards her bedroom for her side table lamps. luke in the meantime, went to go light two candles that they had in the living room - one in peonie scented and the other that was musky. lion smiled as she walked back out, as luke finished lighting the room nearest to her. "thankyou luke." she hummed leaning up a bit on her tippy toes and giving him a quick peck.
"can you set the oven to 350 while I wash my hands and get these flowers in some water?" she questioned and he nodded, turning around to do it.
the two found themselves in a comfortable silence as the two began to prepare the cupcake batter about 20 minutes later. luke connected his phone to the Bluetooth, and the first song that played was say yes to heaven, which was their song. "were you listening to it?" she teased and he blushed while nodding. she came up and wrapped her arms around his neck, "well i love it lukey...i do it quite a lot actually." she said looking at his chest. "oh?" he questioned, pulling her in closer by the hips. she nodded looking up at his face as the next song played, you make me feel so young by sinatra. as soon as the first words played out, he began to twirl her around the small kitchen. she threw her head back giggling, as he did so. he softly began to sing the lyrics to her, as he pulled away to twirl her into his chest. she pressed her head into his chest, giggling like a fool.
"something amusing?" he teased as he continued to twirl the two around, and she shook her head, swaying from side to side now.
"no, its just youre dancing!" she exclaimed and that made him nod while placing his nose in the crook of her neck from behind. "i can be romantic when i choose too." he teased, and that made her playfully sigh. she turned around in his arms, "choose too, huh?" she smiled gleefully, before taking some of the cupcake batter and plopping some of it on his nose. his mouth grew agape, as he looked down at her in shock. he grinned, taking an egg from the carton and plopping it down on her head. "oh no you didn't!" she shouted before taking two eggs in both of her hands and plopping them on his head.
the two didn't stop there, taking other ingredients and then the frosting and throwing it at one another.
"oh my god!" the two of them heard from the living room, to the side of them. lion looked first seeing rain, who had an amused looked on her face. "hi rain." luke said politely, and she could only roll her eyes. "yall better clean up tonight." she said turning around and walking into her bedroom. luke and lion looked at one another, and then down at her phone which began to ring with her dad's contact.
hope you guys enjoyed! please like and reblog if you did!

Happy world poetry day!
(I know this isn't really a poem but I did this for an assignment an I got a good grade on it so I'd like to think it's a poem, and a good one at that)
~Tuesday, April 15th, 2012~
Many emotions were felt that day,
none of the good, to be honest.
Anger, fear, sadness, it felt like they were all stabbing at my heart.
I wanted them to go away,
but they grew, the more I stared at my burning house. Hot tears left my eyes, whilst I ignore the paramedic as if he were a ghost in my ear.
It was currently 2:37 in the morning,
I was shaken awake by my mother only half an hour ago.
Someone had broken into our house, and my mother had gotten my brother and me. We went to try and wake up my father
but to zero avail.
My mother told my brother and me to run and try and escape.
When we got down the stairs, I was terrified to see that half of our living room was already up in flames.
We go back to get our parents, we see our mother by the bed-
sobbing.
Through her sobs, she says that my father isn't waking up
We tell her about the living room and she takes us back down The stairs to get out.
Everything after that is a blur of smoke and red.
The next thing I remember,
I was outside my house as now it was encased in flames
I was in the arms of a fireman, walking me toward an ambulance.
And found out-
I was the only one to survive the fire, my father had died in his sleep, and I still don't know why.
My mother and brother had gotten trapped in the flames after they had gotten me out.
Of all the days, why did it have to be my birthday?
After that day, my life took a drastic left turn.
I've been placed in the foster care system.
I'm now living with a loving couple who have been taking care of my needs and wants.
They set me up with a counselor, who recommended that I write my thoughts and feeling in a notebook.
So that's what I'm doing.
Whenever I'm feeling a strong emotion, I write it in here. whenever I have something on my mind, I write it in here, At least, that's what I'm going to be doing.
Well, that's it for my first entry. I think I'm gonna like where this is going.
