Another scene I’ve wanted to draw for a while. It was one of the first scenes I’d written for In Need of Polish, and only had a few edits needed when the rest of the story caught up. I knew from the start that at some point I wanted the four girls (and Buddy Kai, he’s just there to give support hugs) together to help talk through Red Nya’s boy troubles. If that had happened in the show, the whole love triangle thing might not have been such a mess.

Twilight

PRE-TOTK: Not that close with Twilight but very close with Wolfie. Wolfie is basically his therapy-dog so Twilight knows some of the secrets/details of his life that Lost has been keeping from the rest of the Chain. Twilight struggles with respecting Lost’s privacy but also wanting to help him work through what he’s going through.

He tries to incorporate Lost into the group in little ways. It’s small but it’s the most he can do at the moment and he doesn’t want Lost to be completely isolated from their group.

If Wolfie's reveal happens Pre-Totk their relationship is soured. Lost kept all those secrets secret for a reason and Twilight knowing them messes with him a lot. Lost probably thinks that Twilight was only keeping tabs on him to make sure he wouldn’t be a problem to group despite what Twilight says in response.

POST-TOTK

If Wolfie Reveal happens Post-Totk + character development, Lost is a Lot More understanding as to why Twilight kept the whole Wolfie thing a secret. Twilight basically becomes his older brother (he was before but now Twilight gets to actually show it outside of being a wolf) and they’re really close. Twilight is the #1 Lost Defender.

Time

PRE-TOTK: Time struggles a lot with trying to help Lost because he can Tell Lost has a lot more going on under the surface. Twilight confirms this is the case but will not go into details for the sake of Lost’s privacy unless he Has To. But he can’t do much since Lost is still very much afraid of him and puts the soldier front on with him. Also struggles with the fact he doesn’t really Know Lost.

Lost has a lot of respect for Time but Also Time reminds him of his dad and that’s scary for him and also bringing up past trauma. (DADDY ISSUES!!!!!)

POST-TOTK: The first/one of the first to give Lost a hug after the Horn Incident. Lost is still working out his daddy issues but he’s a lot more open with Time. Lost’s relationship with Malon improving also helps a lot in this aspect too.

Warriors

PRE-TOTK: Lost feels the need to prove himself to Warriors because he’s The Captain and his own past issues with authorities figures. Warriors in turn struggles with the fact that Lost appears so Afraid of him all the time and tries to alleviate that fear, but it doesn’t do much. 

Warriors also is Not a fan of self-sacrificing Lost is. Tries to gently scold him and discourages him but this only makes Lost get better at hiding injuries and discreetly healing himself after fights. Warriors (+ Time) doesn’t like ordering him around but it’s the only way to get him to listen to them when it comes to proper self care and allowing others to help.

POST-TOTK: After Lost learns that he outranks Warriors he sees their dynamic more equally and removes a lot of tenseness from their relationship. Lost becomes a lot more involved with planning and strategy and helps Warriors with planning attacks/defense/etc. which helps improve their relationship a lot too. 

Legend

PRE-TOTK: Tense. Legend sees Lost as a “suck-up” and tries to be understanding of his mentality and such, but it’s still frustrating for them both because Lost is trying to “impress” Legend and prove his worth and Legend doesn’t see Lost as genuine. This eventually leads to an argument between the two of them.

POST-TOTK: After the Horn Incident™, Legend apologizes to Lost about the things he said and did pre-totk, their relationship vastly improves after that. 

Sky

PRE-TOTK: Lost has Feelings about Hylia but he respects Sky’s relationship with her + another case of complete respect since Sky is the one who made the Master Sword. There’s a healthy dose of fear from Lost almost dying from the blade as well, so he tends to keep his distance as well.

POST-TOTK: Sky has Feelings about the fact that Lost turned himself into a dragon to repair the Master Sword. Lost talks about repairing the Master Sword and how he didn’t consider any other option because “it's what you would have done”. 

Four

PRE-TOTK: Lost is the least “afraid” of him. He’s willing to talk more about himself with Four because they’re the most similar. They both have their own secrets, and they understand that. Four is also very observant of Lost, and is the first one to learn how Lost displays his emotions, and will generally come to his aid when someone in the chain is (usually worriedly) hounding him.

POST-TOTK: Not much changes between them, for better or for worse. Lost is a lot more open to asking more personal questions, and they get to know each other much better. Plus Four got to show Lost what blacksmithing is like, so that’s a very big bonus

Hyrule

PRE-TOTK: Wary respect.Lost has respect for Hyrule’s medic abilities but is Unsure on how to feel about the magic healing. The only person he knows who is able to heal with magic isn’t a Hylian. Possibly wary of if Hyrule is actually a Hylian? + Hyrule probably reminds him of Mipha and that's Probably Not A Good Thing

POST-TOTK: Hyrule allows Lost to finally have some sense of individuality by allowing him to escape and go out adventuring by themselves. This starts a snowball effect of Lost learning things he’s interested in, nature and a drive for learning being the first few.

Wind

PRE-TOTK: Guard. Wind wants him to be a big brother, but he forgot how to fill that role due to Reasons™ Instead, he fills a guard role so he’s still able to protect Wind in some way. (Wind has mixed feelings about this)

POST-TOTK: After Lost learns more about himself and finally allows himself to have some fun, they get along like a house on fire. Please never give them access to a hill it’ll be terrible for everyone’s hearts.

Ethan Walker HCS!

as I promised in JJ's hc post, baby boy ethan's here!

(this time theyre not all are really connected to the lore post, but they may be confusing; so check it out if you haven't!)

he seems shy at first, but he's pretty chill if you leave a good impression on him

when he's shy, he speaks really quietly and only Jenna can understand him (and Lloyd, of course)

he may not have so much trauma now, but *looks at his older self* ohoho he will

when he was born, everyone had spoiled him so much, and Jenna kept playing with him at every chance she got!

he loves collecting pebbles! sometimes he'll go out to the monastery courtyard and just collect some of those pebbles he finds on the ground

with how he never left the monastery before, he can't imagine how big the world actually is, and he doesn't quite understand it, until he went to the crossroads for the first time

during those 5 years, Lloyd was practically his father figure since he had no one else, he knew he was his uncle of course but his mind couldn't process the fact that his actual father was Jay, never even knowing him (atleast properly)

he also has a big obsession for animals, he hated how he never saw them in real life but loved learning about them and watching documentries! (It bores Jenna to death)

his favourite animals are cheetahs, he always calls Jenna a 'cheetah' because of how fast she is

plus, whenever Lloyd goes to the crossroads to get some stuff, he sometimes brings him an animal plush when he could, so he has a literal collection of them

he also has little animal minifugures and ninja minifigures, too!

his room's walls' were also painted by Jenna! there's some landscapes too and alot of animals

unlike Jenna, he doesn't have that big of an intrest in drawing, but he does have a secret intrest in writing

he loves to embroider too!

he also only learns to draw for the purpose of drawing animals

he'll come out as bi in the future, continuing the chain of The Bi Walkers™

he hogs the TV from Jenna and tells her to use her phone instead, he loves to play videogames on it (and will soon become a master)

he usually watches Jenna and Lloyd when they train, most of the time it's out of boredom

when Jenna tells him about her time at school, he doesn't really like the idea of school because of the amount of people, he prefers studying with Lloyd

he didn't really like Kai at first, but he didn't say anything and made an attempt to spend time with him

same thing with Zane, but he was so amazed when se saw him for the first time and would ask him to make him some small sculptures

he loves books! he borrowed alot of of them from the team and Lloyd would get him his own books, too

he secretly prefers the romance ones, and will have collections of that genre in the future

unlike Jenna, he isn't that afraid of blood

he's actually a bit afraid of water, the first time he went to a pool he screamed and did not want to go in

he got used to it after a while and became a somewhat good swimmer, but still got an uneasy feeling whenever he's around it

that was also one of the reasons why he couldn't control his powers

he, Finn, and Noah's usual movie on their movie nights is a sappy Cliff Gordon romance movie, they never get bored of it lmao

he loves being carried!! he always asks either Jenna or Lloyd to carry him, and when his 5 new siblings came along Noah was carrying him almost all the time and he loved it, throw him in the air and he'll laugh like crazy (baby boy 😭)

another point added to the 'touch starved jayling' chart, he LOVES hugs and would never give up the chance to hug someone! he loves getting a whole lot of kisses too

he loves to help in the kitchen whenever he could from his love of cooking, and is extremely obsessed with muffins

his favourite colour isn't red or blue either, he really really loves orange for some reason, the clothes he's wearing is just clothing borrowed from Jenna's old ones!

he also stole that smile pin from Jenna, which was originally Jay's

he also took that headband when he one time snuck into Nya's locked room, his fringes annoy him alot so he wears it almost all the time, Nya was suprised when she saw him wearing it

is very inquisitive and curious, he'll never shut up if he has a question or notices something

he hates seeing someone distressed, and tries to comfort them the best he could

he's that sibling that would listen to your rants without ever getting bored, he loves listening to people rant, and would gladly listen to you if you need to talk about something

he knows about Jenna's PTSD, he doesn't know the full backstory but knows that whenever she needs alone time, he needs to leave her alone

when they reunited with Nya, he was still a bit wary of her and left Jenna to spend most of his time with her, but he quickly got used to having her around

Jay wasn't the smoothest thing either, Ethan did not want to be around him because he already had a bad impression on him

is obviously the baby of the siblings, literally no one can hate this little guy

he was afraid of Kaida too, and he didn't like the way she and Jenna fought, he'd always get scared when they did

he was also afraid of Kaida, Quinn and Tessa of taking Jenna's place as his older sister, he didn't understand that they were all his sisters

but once he did, he was pretty close to Kaida especially!

he, Kaida and Noah share their immense love for animals, and Noah always reads him his animal books along with Kaida

he also tags along Tessa and Noah when they watch animal planet

he absolutely loves hoodies and jackets, and when he saw all the sisters with their aviator jackets he so badly wanted one too

he doesn't really like pranks and thinks theyre rude, he'd only tag along if they're harmless

Jenna and Kaida taught him how to use insults, no regrets lmao

Quinn loves him to death, she loves borrowing his headband!

Kaida also teaches him how to use a gun, he literally gets so excited when she does

Tessa also uses him as a benchpress, he's so small she can literally benchpress him with one hand

there's never a time you won't find Noah carrying him or having him on his shoulders when they spend time together

he becomes the best cook out of his siblings, 10/10s every single time

in the future, he volunteers in orphanages, animal farms and schools while JJ became an actress!

he also becomes one of the tall siblings, maxing at 5'8 oh boy

his future partner is Tyra Karmakar (old oc), he has a taste for women that could kick his ass lmao

🏆 A Recent Release You Enjoyed

Definitely Perfect Propose! It was such a simple and mundane show but in the best way possible and i truly loved getting to watch Hiro and Kai open up and grow and heal together in a way that felt very natural and steady to me (and surprisingly didn't feel rushed despite how short the show was). I really appreciated the topics they touched on as well and the series will definitely be one very dear to me for a long time i think.

This is a tough one! Especially when there are so many couples i adore but i think for this I'm gonna go with Tang Yi/Shao Fei bc no matter how much I rewatch Trapped my love for them never dies. They can be so silly and ridiculous and soft and it's so much fun to watch them fight and work together and tease and take care of each other and truly fall for each other (and drive each other insane sometimes lol) in a way that feels so meaningful to me and then you add in the scenes like this

that just break me down into nothing but an emotional disaster no matter how many times i see them.

Everything about these two, from the hostility at the beginning to the ridiculous antics and the tender love and quiet gentle care and the raw heartbreaking emotion, was truly so incredible and these two have remained a favorite couple since the first watch and likely will continue to be for many years longer.

🌄 Your Favorite Scene Of Any BL Show

Wow!! World's Most Difficult Question For Me Specifically™ as someone who has watched over 40 different BLs as of now and is notoriously bad at picking favorites and sticking to them lol

To make this easier for myself I'm just gonna go with one of the first scenes that popped into my head and say the confession scene in UtsuKare at the end of season 1 in the classroom.

There is genuinely not a single thing i don't like about this scene. The emotions, the color scheme, the lighting, just everything. i do not know how to describe the way it makes me feel.

The distress in Kiyoi as this all becomes too much for him to handle anymore, the way his mask of nonchalance and apathy he hid behind for so many years to protect his heart is now nowhere to be found in the wake of everything finally boiling over, the way he shouts at Hira because its the only defense he has left, the way his voice breaks as he tries to speak and to make Hira understand, "I'm an ordinary guy. I want to be with the person i love. I want to touch him... I'm just an ordinary guy." Hira's shocked disbelief that Kiyoi could ever want him of all people, the emotion in Kiyoi's face and in his voice as he falls apart, "Why would you love someone like me?" "I wish I knew! I really don't know" the mesmerized look on Hira's face as he tries to reach out and touch Kiyoi only to have his hand slapped away because Kiyoi can't handle it if it doesn't change anything, the way Kiyoi is lashing out because he's still so afraid of how much this matters to him, "I love you so much, Kiyoi, that it drives me crazy! I think of you like a god. I never thought i could have you." " I'm not a god" Hira's nod as he tries so hard to understand "Can I touch you, Kiyoi?" "Not if it's the same way you did before" the way Hira looks at him as he tentatively places his hand on Kiyoi's cheek still unable to believe he really can do this, the way Hira looks him in the eyes as he tells him he loves him, THE HUG AND THE WAY HIRA BACKS KIYOI ONTO THE DESK AND THE LIGHTING AND THE MUSIC AND THE WAY HIRA IS FINALLY LETTING HIMSELF WANT AND TO ACT ON IT AND THE WAY KIYOI LETS HIM BECAUSE THIS IS WHAT HE HAS WANTED FOR SO LONG

I'm sorry i just have a million feelings about this scene and its impossible for me to convey them in a way that makes sense and isnt just screaming but holy fuck dude this scene was so incredible and the actors did an absolutely phenomenal job with it

Even though it's the end of the season it's also just the beginning of them learning and growing together. It's the beginning of Kiyoi learning to be vulnerable and express his feelings and ask for what he wants and of Hira learning to be Kiyoi's partner and equal instead of a devotee and servant like he always thought he was. It was an incredible end to the season and very important turning point for both of them as people and their relationship going forward and i am still so incredibly proud of the growth and progress they achieved through the rest of the series. It's both one of my favorite scenes and one of my favorite series and I'm not sure i will ever really recover from the things it made me feel.

It's the 14th of August here, which mean that a little penguin was born today.

I had difficulty this time because there's so much good material for him. He's been so so adorable for ages before getting a glow up recently 😭

Sigh, I don't want to do all the simping here, I'll just leave the letter now. So I can simp bett-get's shot in the head

I think it's been ages since I talked about the maknae in a group and now, thanks to Hyuka, I can finally do that.

I have a little history to share first tho. When I started stanning TxT, I wanted to share my love for the group with my mom. I know, that's a very strange thing to do, but my mom has always been supportive about my hobbies and has always been curious about my interests, especially the ones who sounded new and strange to her. So, I shared a bunch of pics with her and I asked which members she preferred the most. She picked Kai and when I asked her why she chose him her answer was "He looks like your brother when he was younger".

I've been stunned for a few seconds because of that answer. And the hilarious thing is that I also elaborated that answer, I didn't just brush it off. Probably the elaboration was made because my brother and Hyuka share the same age and I've always loved my little brother so that association really affected my vision of him.

For a while, because of this, I've painted Hyuka as the little boy Must-Protect from TxT. It didn't helped the fact that, every time I watched a To-Do Episode, Hyuka always acts as the innocent boy who wouldn't hurt no one and then he proceeds to second Beomgyu on every thing he does to "torture" Yeonjun sorry Yeonjun .

And his bond with Soobin...ach, don't let me start with that. Soobin just made the little member Must-Protect allegations much stronger 😭 I still remember a little video they did together and Soobin hugged him tightly and rubbed his nose on his shoulder and I melted. My heart melted, I mean. So, yeah, I had this idea of Hyuka being a little precious baby for a little while.

Then I discovered that he's a middle child and he had the glow up during these recent comebacks. But I think the first info made the big change of my image of him. Believe me, I love so much the interactions he has with Bahiyyih, he's really that caring big brother who sometimes teases his little sister in a playful way. And about the glow up...I mean, have you seen him recently? He's a grown ass adult now 😭 Sigh, I should accept the fact that he's a big boy for real 😔

Also, I must confess that trying to understand his story as "Mr. Worldwide Kai" confused me a loooot. Believe me, I still missing pieces of where he went when he was little or which heritage he actually has. I just came to the conclusion that Huening Kamal Kai just belongs to the entire world and the entire world must love him 🤣

My dear Kai, it's been a while since I've started my journey with TxT and I can easily say that I literally saw you growing up. Even tho in my eyes you're still looking like a little boy, especially when I see you surrounded by plushies, I think it's time for me to start calling you Little Man. But you're still the Cutie Huening Kai™, you'll never leave that, I'm sorry, you'll always look cute, accept that 😤

My birthday wish for you is to keep your journey with TxT and growing much more with them as time goes by. I think they've become your second family and the place where you grew so much and in a very beautiful and bright way.

Hope you'll spend this day happily with the members and MOAs. I know that you've been very busy these days so I hope that you'll take this day as an opportunity to take a little break before starting working again.

What are some comfort foods Vi's got?

i put on my neck brace just to crack down and answer this...

khao man gai / thai style chicken rice….. similar to tha hainanese version. but its got a sauce thats like fermented soybeans, ginger, garlic, and chilies. the rice is cooked in chicken broth with garlic.

jok / rice porridge! topped w. pork, ginger, scallions, and a sprinkle of white pepper. the combinations r endless, u can put a lot of things in jok. sometimes he'll top it with a soy egg and dried shrimp. very, very winter food for him. or, if he just feels bad and needs a Warm Hug™.

sheng jian bao / dumplings!! pan fried dumplings. he'll cram anything into them but his favorite filling combo is tofu, black garlic, and bok choy. sprinkle some chili crisp... maybe dip in a combo of vinegar and soy sauce. yeow.

kai palo / thai five spice stewwww... hardboiled eggs n pork belly. the broth is like five-spice powder, garlic, soy sauce, and sum palm sugar. ngl sometimes he'll get some bbq ribs from the premade food section of the grocery store and just chunk it up in there lol.

also he rly likes kaeng om, an herbal kinda curry.

- miles shyly asks gumshoe to be his best man a few months before. gumshoe bursts into tears and does not stop crying whenever he sees miles from then on. he cries even harder during the ceremony

- maya and larry duke it out to be nick’s best man. maya wins, so larry settles for being a made up title that he doesn’t know is made up, since he’s friends with both of them and kinda got them together in the first place

- ray shields walks miles down the aisle

- pearl is the flower girl, and when she reaches the end of the aisle, she rushes over to hug phoenix before taking her seat

- trucy is the ring bearer. she makes the rings magically disappear, but just as phoenix is freaking out, she pulls them from her pocket with a smirk

- the judge is in tears during the ceremony because he’s seen them both grow up so much since they began and he’s grateful he doesn’t have to deal with their blatant pining in the courtroom anymore

- franziska sits in the very front row, her whip out and ready ‘in case anyone wants to object to this foolish marriage’. nobody dares comment on the tears rolling down her cheeks

- apollo’s chords of steel officiate the wedding

- ema is so happy she’s crying, but to take attention off of herself she turns to klavier and whispers, ‘you’ll be next, glamour boy’ while she nods toward apollo. klavier turns bright red

- athena is the first to cheer when they kiss. simon has to hold her down

- at the reception, kay and sebastian give a toast to That Man™, while miles buries his face in his hands and phoenix laughs

- lotta hart takes pictures for them. she’s the one who catches the bouquet. for the rest of the night, she dances with larry, much to his surprise and delight

- at the end of the night, maya channels mia, who tells phoenix she’s very proud and happy for him. she does the same for miles with gregory, who cries upon seeing his son all dressed up and smiling

literally comes at your beck and call afterwards all the time.

also continues to spar with you, he's always one of the first to step up ( though you have to tell him to stop going easy on you ).

he's super bent on finding the guy who stole them; pixal has to tell him to be patient because she's diligently searching for any trace of the villain.

but when the said droid does confirms eyes on him ー everyone's ready for action.

cole and you literally almost argue because he refused for you to come </3 you still went though

nontheless, the villain was made quick work of and you tried to activate your powers ..

they worked!

you pecked cole on the cheek after the mission, grateful for his support.

"thanks for believing in me cole :)"

he's totally blushing and stuck in place; holding his cheek.

he's angry that he was right in front of you and watched it happened.

he's angry that the guy got away.

but most of all, he's angry at himself because it should've been him, and now you were going to be powerless, for who knows how long.

you can see the guilt in his eyes, so you console him. or rather, you say:

"it wasn't your fault, kai. don't blame yourself for a villains actions."

and with that, he tries his best to do so.

gets upset at anyone who asks if you're still a ninja even with your lack of power. ( "of course they're still a ninja, they've protected ninjago countless times!" )

and when they finally run into the said bad guy again?

he's so happy to write his wrong ong

but even whilst being powerless, you managed to deal the final hit!

thankfully, defeating them seemed to return your powers. but overwhelmed with giddiness, you're quick to hug kai.

he squeezes back, exclaiming the great news like an excited toddler.

jay's afraid that he'll say something completely stupid or insensitive, so he's simply quiet when it first happened.

but he's there for you, ready for you to lean on him whenever you please.

he even offers you to go on patrol with him sometimes ー perhaps trying to prove nothings different, that you're still a part of the team.

"we've all lost our powers at some point; i'm sure you'll get yours back, too."

jay doesn't use his powers as frequently around you unless necessary. poor guy is doing it without being aware :(

you're both in the middle of playing video games when the villain decides to strike.

jay ends up fumbling with his remote; taken off guard by the alarms going off in the monastery.

"i'm going" "absolutely notー" ( the others have to tell you to hurry up otherwise they'd escape )

needless to say, you were victorious and the blue ninja simply decided he'd have to protect you if anything happened.

the last hit came down to you while everyone was trying to fend for themselves due to the enemy activating your powers for themself.

you straight up uppercutted them and everyone was in shoCK.

My headcanons for Vergil's s/o acting motherly towards Nero

Ok, ok. So, Nero isn’t used to someone acting motherly towards him – even though he had an adoptive mother, given how he used to be treated in Fortuna for being different and all his Angry Kid™ antics, he saw her more like “she is the woman who was kind enough to take me in and I should have some respect” then like a loving mother figure;

That being said, he would be completely and utterly lost with Vergil’s s/o behaving like an actual mother;

Nero is going out? “Hey, kiddo, don’t forget your coat.” “Nah, that’s ok, I’m not…” “You might get sick, I’ll be worried. Humor me, please?” And there you go, Vergil’s s/o hands him the coat and Nero is there, just staring at them, with the phrase “they will worry about me” running like a headless chicken around his brain;

“Nero, when you get there, give me a call? Or at least send me a message.” “Why do you guys have to be so controlling, I can take care of myself…!” “I just want to know you got there ok, that’s all. I trust you, kiddo.” And Nero is almost thrown on the floor, crying his eyes out;

200% doesn’t know how to act when someone cares about him;

I mean, he has Kyrie and we all know that woman is an angel on Earth, sent down to cherish his angry cinnamon bun heart and make him know he is loved, but motherly love and lover love are two different things;

And even though Kyrie cares so much about him and does worry about him, Nero experiences first-hand what is like to have a feral creature ready to take someone’s head off if someone messes with their son;

“You sorry excuse of a demon, you will regret the day you thought you could lay your filthy hands on my kid.”

Cue in Nero and Vergil completely flabbergasted, not knowing if they will explode of pride, cry, scream, hug them or do all of that, exactly in that order;

Nero will get annoyed at first, though, because as I put before, he will probably mistake all that care with them not trusting his power (deadweight syndrome strikes again);

And it will take him time to notice they are doing it out of love and protection, not because they don’t believe he can take care of himself. It’s such a foreign feeling, the kid has no clue on how to react;

Read: Nero’s cheeks will get all red, the tip of his ears will tingle, he will put on that “oh, welp” smile of his and start scratching the back of his head because he won’t know what to do with his hands;

“Hmmm… Yeah… I’ll call ya, ‘kay?” He’s almost kicking nothing on the floor to have somewhere to fix his eyes on, the poor boy;

Once he gets used to it, though, expect random displays of affection – such as them kissing the top of his head while he is having breakfast or Nero kissing the top of their head before going out; them asking Nero to run errands and him coming back home all covered in blood and “Hey, are those the eggs you asked?”, things like that.

And with that, I’ll leave you with the scenario on the next post, because I went overboard with it! Hahahaha it’s such a great prompt, so I hope you like it!

Jay: loves science fiction media so much, the one in the team with an unhealthy caffeine addiction, serving golden retriever gamer boy energy, bisexual and doesn't shut up about it /pos, knows a lot of big words but can't spell any of them, went to a chucky cheese when he was like five and now it's his whole personality, loves to zap the others unprovoked (like static electricity yknow-), cluttercore aesthetic, music taste of an early 2000's mom

Cole: the only one on the team who didn't know that the titanic film was completely fictional, loves first person shooter games, musical theatre kid but hides it by listening to classic rock and 60's hits, loves incorporating dance moves into martial arts, hamilton musical references just to annoy the others, a gym bro at heart, gives the best hugs, his dad saw ac/dc once in concert and he's still very salty over it, his blood stream is 80% protein powder and pre workout *sigh*, likes to follow bob ross paintings to destress

Zane: loves indulging in the interests of his teammates, stress bakes, reads wikipedia like its the bible, mom friend™, is the only one that makes their bed, "I'm not your own personal Alexa guys,, so stop treating me like one *plays despacito on command*", sleeps to those weird whale noises (iykyk), really likes super hero media, sleeps on his back like a maniac, always says "you'll never understand the intricacies of" when talking about anything he really enjoys, is actually super chaotic but covers it with logic and various big words

Kai: plays horrible dating simulators unironically, reads romance novels/manga, a sucker for a happy ending (yes that was a heathers reference), resident big red/hot tamales/red hots/atomic fireball consumer (he really likes cinnamon flavored things), puts hot sauce on things that don't really need hot sauce on them, makes s3xu4l comments but is actually s3x repulsed, reads the fanfiction made about him to the rest of the team out of spite, ate hair gel once just to know, eats nya's snacks all the time out of spite of the hair gel incident™

Nya: is always thirsty/always drinks water, watched h20 just add water as a kid, steals protein powder and pre workout from cole, listens to paramore like the goddess she is, cried over the twilight films (she also owns the soundtrack on cd), got kai into romance manga now she just laughs at him for liking it, she likes spice drops but won't eat the cinnamon ones, once poured out all of kai's hair gel and replaced it with elmer's glue (they laugh about it now but they hated each others guts for years over it)

Lloyd: was forced to watch the ant bully movie when he was like twelve and stopped trying to be evil out of fear of being turned ant sized and getting kidnapped by anthropomorphic ants (yes, I am projecting here), can't figure out how to change his xbox-live name so he'll forever be stuck with user garmadone666, gatekeeps mitski seriously, has a scene sonic oc, writes emo poetry in the dead of night, saw the batman movie once and has never been the same, likes a lot popular/mainstream media, tumblr kid, probably has an iron deficiency

The Ninja When Drunk Headcannons

Hey All! It's 3AM and I've had a slice of my grandmother's Christmas Vodka-Rum cake, so everyone gets headcannons!

*Trigger Warning! Alcohol and drunkenness!

Kai:

His personality completely changes when he's drunk; I mean really drunk, in one of two ways:

A) He gets really depressed and let's out 15+ years of trauma all at the same time, scaring whoever happens to be there to listen to him, or:

B) Starts doing advanced astrophysics and/or quantum mechanics in a way that leaves even Dr. Borg and/or Dr. Julian Speechless!

Seriously! After flying that ship back from the asteroid Arcturus is season 3, he went on for WEEKS about his theory for FTL travel!

He also identified a total of 57 stars which might be host to a Dyson's Sphere...

The worst part is: Once that theory hit the internet, absolutely NOONE could disprove it in any way!

There is one exception to all of this of course: Whenever either of his siblings start drinking, he instantly goes into Big Brother Mode™ to make sure that they're all okay!

Zane:

He never really drank before he became the Titanium Ninja, but the one time he did drink, it was mostly on accident when he took a sip of some of Wu's tea!

Zane wasn't all that different when he drank in his old body, but he was totally a lightweight! The boy just couldn't hold his liquor!

When he would really get drunk, the first thing he would do is go and look for food...

This is basically how he learned how to cook...by getting drunk and hungry!

Now that he's the Titanium Ninja, he's installed a series of filters that removes the alcohol before it can mess with his systems, so he doesn't experience intoxication anymore.

Cole:

Okay, Cole isn't all that different when he's had a little too much to drink (mostly because it takes a lot for him to feel it, so he gets bored of it really easily).

When he does manage to get tipsy, he becomes really poetic and starts reciting stuff like Shakespeare and Matsuo Bashou.

It doesn't happen often, but when he does manage to get completely smashed, he basically turns into a big, cuddly teddy bear!

Depending on who's closest, he'll just latch onto them and pull them into a bear hug! (It's usually Kai; he's so warm and if he's depressed, he becomes his comfort buddy).

Jay:

Ah yes, another lightweight!

He's nowhere as bad as Zane was, but it still doesn't take much to take him over the edge!

Once he starts getting tipsy, he'll start sketching out various designs and inventions on whatever surface he finds!

The drunker he gets, the more imaginative his inventions become! They also tend to get sloppier and confusing, so depending on how much he drinks, he may or may not be able to make out what he designed when he sobers up.

If Nya's around, then she makes sure that he doesn't have too much, and stays hydrated as much as possible, but if she's not there, then he'll usually go and find her.

Lloyd:

The others typically try to keep him away from alcohol and spirits, and he usually doesn't like to drink at all because of the taste. But it becomes a whole different ballgame when he discovers mixed drinks!

It really doesn't take much for him to start to feel the effects, but once he does, he loses all ability to walk in a straight line! Thankfully, his reflexes are so honed-in, that anytime he stumbles, he's able to easily catch himself.

He's already a sugar fiend when he's sober, but once he's had a glass or two, the little candy gremlin that he used to be comes right back out!

It also doesn't help that his sense of smell gets incredibly sensitive whenever he drinks!

Lloyd has been known to crawl into an empty cupboard (usually the one where Zane hides the sugar) and fall asleep while trying (and failing) to open the bags!

Nya:

Out of all of the ninja, she's probably the hardest to tell if she's drunk or not. Kai swears its because of her element, but Nya's just a very relaxed person.

Since she paces herself with water, (ha!) she's able to keep a much clearer head.

While the others don't really see it that often, she does have a mother hen mode (like Kai does) that just goes into over-drive whenever she drinks!

She'll often stick close to her brother, because she knows just how much of a mess that he can be! But barring that, she'll also station Cole near by so that they're both covered.

She'll also try to make sure that any mixed drinks that Lloyd gets are virgin (non-alcoholic) or at least, keep Zane near-by.

Nya does have a gremlin streak though, and that's something that sometimes comes out.

Once she gets loaded enough, she'll start putting together a bunch of traps and pranks that can be on par with the ones that Wu set up at the beginning of season 11!

Hahaha what a great day yesterday was.......

Okay, so I go in at 4. The other cashier leaves at 6. There's a bit of a line, but by the time she clocks out it's gone. Kay? She clocks out at 6 and there's no line. That's important.

She comes back about 15 minutes later with her shoppinh, there's now a line, but not too too long. We have a separate line for returns that employees are supposed to go to, so we don't have to wait in a potentially very long line right after an 8hr shift or anything. Ya know. Because the managers are decent people. All the employees go to this line. It's not an issue.

My manager's a few feet away, and is like "Hey Anon, returns" to let me know my coworker's waiting. So when I finish with the people I'm checking out, I call her.

And the guy in the front of the normal line fucking blows his top. Starts demanding to know why she got to go first, saying she should wait in line with everyone else. I say she works here. He says that doesn't matter she still has to wait. He's been waiting for half an hour, yadda yadda. (And at this point, there was no line less than 20 minutes ago, so either he has no sense of time at all or he just doesn't fucking care.)

I am physically shaking after about five seconds, but I manage to get through it. My coworker leaves, the guy comes up, and I'm being very carefully customer service polite to him. He slams his purchase down on the counter so hard it breaks the hanger and demands I call the manager. Fine. I need her help with the line anyways, and she is not gonna be on your side here my dude.

He yelled at the manager when she came, like, "she didn't even apologize!" Which, 1, I'm not gonna apologize for doing what I've been told to do when you're bitching at me. 2, I'm not apologizing to someone who fucking screams at me for DOING WHAT MY MANAGER LITERALLY JUST TOLD ME TO. 3, you start fucking yelling at me out of nowhere and you think I???? Should apologize!?

I'd feel sorry for his family, except they acted angry too. God.

I got to go on my break after that, which was good. Except shortly after I came back there was another Customer™. This one was nice at first, and I even talked to her all real-nice like I do for nice customers. Then she got snippy with me for not folding her clothes. Ma'am I am on a timer and there is a line. I do not have the time to fucking fold your shit. Do it yourself.

And that'd be fine, you know, if she hadn't then gone, "I didn't catch your name :)" No shit Sherlock. I stopped wearing my nametag after one lady said she needed my name to make a report about the store. And we are not friends. You didn't introduce yourself either, I notice.

I mumble out something about not having said it, trying to get her gone because I am having serious bad vibes now. She doesn't go. She demands to know my name. I say it's store policy not to give out names. (No idea if that's true, but it's what one of the security guys said to a bitch demanding the manager's name recently.) She says, "Well, I know that's not true" and demands I call the manager.

Ma'am you do not know store policy better than the employees. Also, I hate you.

I called the manager, and she took care of the lady. Later, she was like "sorry about that lady" in a way that felt like a verbal hug.
