Kaguya has difficulty with emotional expression, and often relies on logic and strategy. She struggles to express her emotions directly and instead uses elaborate plans and scheming to convey her feelings without explicitly stating them.

She lived a deeply sheltered life and thus has a somewhat rigid adherence to the rules she interprets as social norms, an example being her belief that romantic confessions must happen in a particular way (the boy confessing first).

She is pretty socially naive, and while she is very skilled within the limits of academic contexts, she definitely has an emotional and social deficit when compared to her peers, which she struggles to navigate. Also, the way Kaguya presents herself as a poised and composed figure to match the expectations of her prestigious family, can be seen as a form of masking.

Kaguya conveys a deep yearning for meaningful relationships, contrasted with her insecurity about how to build or maintain said relationships.
