#Kaede Birthday Asks;;!!! 🎉

"I heard it was someone's special day today! And apparently you're so excited that you're already wearing the gifts I've brought you! Guess that proves I've got great taste in presents, right?" *david winks, having already used his speed to tie an apron around the birthday girl as well as place a matching chef's hat on her, both of which have her family's restaurant's name embroidered on them!*

"I know you probably already have an apron or two, but it never hurts to have another, right? And hey, this is one of the few gifts you can give someone where you get to encourage them to get it all nice and dirty! Unless you're name's Kaito, that should be more than enough to block most kitchen mishaps!" *and before she knows it, she'll suddenly find a small tray of cookies on the counter in front of her, david laughing as he enjoys his little bout of birthday surprises~!*

"Hehe! That's me! Yeah!! ...Wait, huh?" Blinking, she gives herself a once-over and gasps! She was apparently wearing a chef hat and apron before she knew it?! "W-Woah!! I know you used your super speed, but this is crazy! How did I not even see you do that?!" Then when she properly looks at herself in the mirror, her eyes instantly light up when seeing the name of her family's restaurant embroidered on the hat and apron! "Oh my god, David! I love this!! It's even got our family restaurant's name on it! Yeah, you really do! Oh trust me, I practically collect aprons with how much I love using them, so I am more than happy to receive this."

"And true, true~! Though I'll still try to make sure it doesn't get completely riddled with stains too soon! Heh heh, then I guess I won't have to worry as much if I do pull a Kaito when I get super into my cooking modes! Just from the feel of the quality alone, I can tell this is a very good quality hat and apron. Eee, I'm already excited for what I'll cook while wearing this: now the kitchen really will feel like my own little 'restaurant', hee hee hee~!"

Then at the sudden appearance of the tray of cookies, she gasps, and beams in delight! "Ohh you speedster, you've always got another nice surprise right up your sleeve, don't you!" She laughs with him, her smile brightening. "These look so yummy~!" Grabbing one, she plops it into her mouth and hums from how tasty it is! "And is yummy! Let's enjoy them together~" Then after eating another one, she goes and pulls him into a tight hug!

"David, thank youuu! You're the best!! Ahh I'm gonna be wearing new hat and apron so much! Since it's got the restaurant's logo, I'm definitely gonna wear it there, too, and show it off to my parents and the others, hee hee hee~! Thank you again for the cookies, too: they are so delicious~! And thank you for just... making today so awesome with so many great surprises! It made today more fun than it already is~!"

"Happy birthday Shuichi! I know sometimes the gifts I give you may be a little corny but I still want to give you this." Kaede smiled as she gave him a box of hand made cupcakes atop a wrapped present. Inside was a journal but inside on the lining was of a music sheet pressed down into it both the back and front. Even the bookmark was handmade in a similar fashion and laminated too. "I...I actually made a song for you if you're wondering about the sheets. I have another copy that I can play for you sometime! But I hope that whenever you have to write or make notes you can look at them and remember the song."

"Thank you, Kaede! And shush, that's not true at all: your gifts are always wonderful." He reassures her with a smile, before he eagerly accepts the box of cupcakes and wrapped gift. "Ohhh...! These cupcakes look delicious, I can't wait to try them! I'd love to enjoy them with you, too..."

Then he will put the box of cupcakes on the table, so that he can then unwrap the present. It being a journal was already nice, and he loves the handmade bookmark... "Such a pretty bookmark... oh I will definitely be using this." But then he notices the music sheets pressed down into the linings...a quiet gasp of awe leaving him as he looks at the music sheets..."Oh....!! You...made this song, Kaede? Th-That's amazing!! So that's what you've been working on..."

Kaede has been seemingly working on something very hard for a while. He didn't know what, but now he realized she composed her own song. Just for him... "Yes... I would love to hear you play it. But ahh... Kaede..." He carefully places the journal down on the table... so that he can pull her into a tight embrace.

"...Of course I will.... Whenever I do any of that, I will think of the beautiful song you've composed for me. I just know it will be a beautiful one, when I can hear it. Kaede, thank you so much. I love you..." He gives her a long, loving kiss.. "You're the best girlfriend a guy could ever ask for. Thank you, for such wonderful gifts...!"

He spotted one right by the big fountain in the park, feeling that such a nice view would make enjoying their stuff together even better.

“The fountain always looks so pretty... especially when it’s peaceful and quiet like this. We chose the perfect time to come!” He chuckles, taking a small sip of his tea. But that wasn’t the only reason he wanted to bring her here, of course; he also wanted to finally surprise her with the gifts he got for her. After a while of chatting, he starts going inside of his bag as he says: “I have something else for you, too: your gifts... !” What takes out is one small gift box, and a medium-sized one. In the smaller one, was box of homemade birthday cake macarons, topped with sprinkles. Half were filled with vanilla, while the other half was filled with chocolate. “I made macarons for you! I thought you’d love to enjoy them with your bubble tea!" Also in that bag was a purple insulated travel mug with a design of pink flowers on it, paired with bags of caramel and mocha frappe mixes.

And then inside of the bigger gift box... was a pink portable piano keyboard, small enough where it could lay comfortably across her lap. It even came with a bag to travel it with, along with a small stand attached to the keyboard to place music sheets. “I-I also wanted to surprise you with this... ! I wanted to get you a bigger one, but I thought that would probably make it a bit harder to carry around, ahaha... s-so I hope this works just fine!! So that you can be able to play music, no matter where you are... I imagine that would feel very nice to do if you want to do so at your favorite spots. And... if you ever want to... I’d love to join you and listen whenever you’d like. I think that’d be nice... but yes, I hope you love it and your other gifts, and will have a lot of fun using it, Kaede. Happy Birthday... !” He smiles brightly, gently resting a hand on her shoulder. (HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE GOODEST GIRL!!! 🎉🎹🎂) ❞ ( Birthday ask!! )

What better way was there to spend a birthday than with your best friend? Shuichi had already made it a wonderful birthday with both lunch and boba tea. She had a skip in her step before they ever even made it to the park. She took her seat on the bench, nodding. "It's perfect right now. Especially with a good drink." She wobbled her drink playfully before taking another sip. Shuichi pulling gifts from his back was met with a bright smile, Kaede taking the smaller box first and, drink set to the side, opening it. "Oh, these look amazing!" She plucked a chocolate macaron from the box, taking a bite. The sweet, rich flavor was almost comforting in a way. She hummed happily. "You always make the best desserts." She meant it. They were even better knowing they were from Shuichi. The mug and drink mixes brought her an equal amount of joy. "This is so cute! I can wait to try the these too." Finally she took the larger gift box, shooting Shuichi a confused if excited glance at the size of it. Upon opening it, however, she gasped. "Oh. . . my god." She gawked over it for a good couple of minutes, taking it from the box and examining it with more excitement than she had thought possible. She then set it aside, turned, and practically launched herself at Shuichi. She pulled him into a tight hug. "It's perfect! You really are the best, geez." Squeezing him once more for good measure, she released him with a laugh. "You always know just the thing to do. This is going to be so useful!"

"Y'know, I think I'll play you what I've been working on after we finish our drinks—" she grabbed the box of macarons, scooting over so she could set it between them, "—and share these!" And then she paused, fiddling with her fingers for a moment before adding more softly, "You really have made this the best birthday, so. . . thanks."

For Kaedy, We were together as Team Wind in Kachou Fuugetsu, and we're also together with Hello Pro Dance Academy, and so we were also together for the shoot for LIPPS-san, she's come to my house on days off, we've also thought about dance together, with that we were together again for Kachou Fuugetsu,

I've realized we've gradually gotten closer 🤭🤭

On this years birthday, the day of the event was the year before, and there was a request to shorten its time, whether I would or wouldn't be able to have the event...... it was the situation,

"Since I'm apparently not allowed to make my Kaito Style Birthday Cake Extravaganza, or anything else in the kitchen for that matter, that means I had to think even harder for what I was gonna give you today." *there's an incredibly proud, if not slightly smug look on kaito's face as he places his hands on his hips, a medium-sized present resting right beside him*

"After thinking long and hard, I finally came up with a solution! Not only would it not be fun to just get you something normal, but I know that chefs always want the freshest ingredients. So, why not combine those two into the perfect gift!" *and if she were to open the box she'll find a shiitake mushroom grow kit inside that's all ready for her to use!*

"Nothing's more fresh than a mushroom that's growing right on the log, right? Lemme know when the mushrooms are ready to eat, I wanna see what you're gonna cook with them, haha~!!"

"Oh god, I can only imagine what such a cake would entail." She chortles, knowing it or anything he would have made if he could, definitely would have been crazy! "Well, even if you couldn't make that, I know that whatever else you came up with will still be just as nice, Kaito!" And that proud look on his face as she looks towards the present, only made her all the more confident that it will be a nice surprise.

"Ohhh? I see, I see... haha, you aren't wrong about that: the fresher the ingredients, the better! Plus, I always love a good surprise! Now I'm even more eager to see what you got me...!" Opening the box, her eyes widen in surprise when seeing the shiitake mushroom growing kit inside. She knows it was supposed to be an unexpected gift, but as she pulls it out of the box to get a full look at it, she truly was caught be surprise!

"O-Oh wow, you weren't kidding: this really is surprising, hahaha! In a good way, of course! I love shiitake mushrooms! I never grew them from a log, before, ooo... I can't wait to try doing that~! Yes, definitely! Hehe, I'll definitely be thinking of lots of different recipes where I can utilize them well, and you'll be the first one to know once I do!" Carefully placing the kit down, she goes over to pull Kaito into a big hug~

"Thank you sooo much, Kaito! You always come up with the best surprises! I always love to try growing my own ingredients, so this will be so fun to use: I promise to make the mushrooms come out excellently! Thanks for making today even more awesome~!"

"I know you left the decision of what flavor your birthday cake would be, but I'm afraid I had a difficult time deciding as well. So I consulted with Kaito and I believe we came up quite the interesting compromise!" *it's then that taka reaches out and lifts a big, opaque lid, revealing a cake with three different sections! one section has white frosting with pink hearts on it, another has purple frosting with sprinkles all over it, and the last one has blue frosting with a yellow moon and stars!*

"It's rather unique, isn't it? Each one is a different flavor! However, I'll let you discover what those flavors are, haha~!!" *taka then pulls her into an incredibly tight hug, making sure to give her an even tighter squeeze!*

"Aww, I'm sorry, Taka, I didn't mean to make you stress over it. Though ooooh, you guys did? Hehe, I can't wait to see it, I know you both came up with something great!" She beams, excitedly clasping her hands together as she sees Taka open the lid! She gasps in delight when seeing the different sections of the cake, eyes sparking in awe at how each section was not only a different color and flavor, but even different toppings on them! She loves it~!

"Oh my god, this is so cute!! It is, I love it! Ohh, each flavor is a surprise, huh? Hehe, how exciting! I can't wait to taste it and see what they all are~! This was such a smart idea, you guys! I just know I'll enjoy each and every part of it! And of course, I will be expecting you to enjoy it along with me, Mr. Ishimaru!" She playfully winks with a giggle, before beaming at the hug, returning it back just as tightly with a squeeze, too~!

"Aww, you're so sweet... thank you! And of course, of course! You will always be invited, Taka: you're one of my bestest friends ever, after all~! And you absolutely have!! Even you just being here to celebrate with me makes it exciting enough, but then you really went the extra mile and made something so wonderful and tasty for me! I'll make sure to thank Kaito as well for helping out as well. Can't wait to enjoy the cake with you guys~!"

Kaede wasted no time in nearly tacking Shuichi, throwing her arms around him in a tight hug. "Happy birthday!" She released him, a grin on her face as she asked, "So, how does me treating you to lunch at your favorite café sound?" Her smile faltered, just slightly, as she added with a hint of nerves, "Plus I. . . might have written a song for you, if you want to hear it afterwards." ( they're so cute— / @somemindsatwork )

"Kaede! H-w-woah hoh!!" The hug makes him stumble back a bit in impact, but then instantly returns it just as tightly with a laugh. "H-Haha, hey there, hey there! Thank you!"

At her offer, he clasps his hands together with a delighted smile and a nod. "I-If that's okay with you: I would love that, thank you...!"

Then hearing she even wrote a song for him, makes his eyes widen in surprise. "You....wrote a song for me...?" Shuichi was sure that even for composers, writing a song is not easy; so he can't imagine how difficult it might have been for Kaede, a pianist, to write a song. And yet, she did that just for him.... "Silly..." His smile and gaze grows warmer, as he reaches a hand out to cup hers, giving it a soft squeeze in reassurance. "I would be honored to hear it. I'm sure you worked really hard on it. And the fact that...you even wanted to write me a song: means so much to me. I'll cherish it the moment Iisten to it. You really are the greatest friend a guy could ask for, Kaede.."

Gently pulling her closer towards him, he's the one to initiate the hug. "Thank you so much. You already made today special for me before we've ever done the things we wanted to do, yet..."

❝ happy birthday, saihara-kun! ❞ kaede shouts excitedly as she walks up to the boy, presents already in hand. ❝ i got a few presents for you, so i hope you like them! ❞

the first thing she handed off was a little slip of paper; a ticket to her next recital. nothing too special, since she invited shuichi to all of them anyway, but she wanted him to have it regardless.

next, she handed him the gift bag, and sitting inside was a set of various books. every time shuichi offhandedly mentioned wanting a particular book, kaede wrote down the title so she could remember everything he wanted for this particular occasion.

and finally, she handed off the wrapped box in her arms. when shuichi unwrapped it, he would find a photo album filled with pictures of them and their classmates that had been taken over the past few months. she had to ask for help on that one, she was hopeless with cameras...

"!" When he heard Kaede greet him with a 'Happy Birthday', a smile instantly lights up on his face as he turns towards her, giving her a small wave as he says: "Hey, Akamatsu-san: thank you!" Seeing presents in her hands, excitement grows at the thought of what she got him. "I see: I can't wait to see what they are! I know for sure I will like them."

When he first receives the recital ticket, his smile widens. "Ahh, thank you! I'll be there for sure!" Shuichi would always make time for every recital she has, so he was happy to receive a ticket all the same. Then when she gives him the gift bag, he skips the recital ticket inside to keep it safe, before looking at what's inside. "!!!!!" A gasp leaves him when he sees the specific kinds of books inside. "O-Oh!! These are....!!!" Every book that he indeed did mention wanting, but he didn't expect Kaede to have secretly write them all down. "All the books I've been wanting...! Ohh you little sneak: been doing some detective work of your own, huh? Heh heh heh." He gives a playful nudge to beg elbow, before holding the gift bag around his arm. "R-Really, thank you! Ahh I'm so excited to start on one of them later tonight!"

And just when he thought she couldn't possibly spoil him more with wonderful gifts, she gives him a wrapped gift. "O-Oh my goodness, you're too good to me!" He laughs, eagerly unwrapping the box. Seeing that it was a photo album, and the different pictures of them, their classmates.... "Ahhh..." A quiet gasp of awe leaves him, as he slowly flips through the pages. "Ahh I remember these.... the ones when we all went on that school trip, that one when we hung out with our friends at the beach...ah, and that's when me and you took a picture together with the trophy you won at your last recital, and that one when we went to the summer festival together, and...!"

Just recalling those fond memories with her, with everyone...makes his heart warm inside. And a little emotional, but he swallows down any tears that threaten to leave him. All memories that he would cherish for the rest of his life...

"... More than like: I adore them..." He hugs the photo album close to his chest, closing his eyes in content. "I will take precious care of all of them, Akamatsu-san. Yes, you absolutely did give me the best gifts! You truly do know me so we, hehehe... seriously, you are the best. I'm having the best day now, thanks to you...!" For a moment, he places the photo album down, so that he can give Kaede a big hug. "Thank you...thank you so much. I'm not sure what I did in my life to deserve you, but I'll always be happy that you're in it."
