howdy comrade, it is i: me. for draco and eurwyn,, perhaps,, some combination of 8.) things you said when you were crying and 19.) things you said when we were the happiest we ever were
hee hee sorry this one is really clunky but here it is
Three months ( and twelve days ) since Draco landed in Akavir and he's still in the same little port town in western Tsaesci. He hasn’t travelled very far past Vhreir’s borders, hasn’t travelled to any of the larger islands belonging to the Tsaesci domain — mostly due to the fact that his neighbors have informed him that outside of Vhreir, little to no people speak the common tongue.
So, while he’d love to travel to the larger islands of Tsaesci to search for his father, he thinks staying put for some time to learn to actually speak the language might be a better bet for him. He doesn’t want to get lost, after all.
And perhaps he’s gotten comfortable. His apartment has a little balcony he stands out on in the mornings, watching the sunrise over the water, over the village below. His neighbors are kind and know nothing of his past, they don’t judge him. However, there’s something missing in his daily life that he doesn’t want to admit to.
It’s a quiet morning when that changes. He’s standing up on the balcony, watching as a ship pulls into port. It's obviously Tamrielic, mostly Breton in make. Draco's breath hitches as he watches the way the crew pulls the ship to a professional stop on the water.
Just like the rest of his neighbors ( though perhaps with a hopeful motivation, unlike their curiosity ), he decides to make his way down. His neighbor, a little Tang-Mo woman with her child wrapped against her chest, tilts her head at his urgency.
"Looks a bit like the ship I came in on," he says, and she smiles at him. She says nothing about the hope written across his face, but she knows.
He doesn't mean to rush, not really, but the people around him are moving so slow. Dodging those standing around at market stalls, he finds himself moving faster. Down the slope of the city's streets he sees the dock workers beginning to lower the bridge to the ship itself, bustling to meet the captain halfway.
He focuses on running, then, slipping past a couple debating over their dinner, past a large Ka Po'Tun man growling at someone. He stops short of running into a cart, then takes off once more, just in time to see the captain gesturing onto her ship. The dockmaster looks concerned and Draco can finally see both of them closer as he comes to a stop on the dock.
"No Tsaesci refugees?" He hears the dockmaster ask, and then the woman laughs.
"No, but I've got a hopeless fool desperate to find one that just showed up here." Her accent is Breton, his heart skips.
The door to the hold of the ship creaks. Outside steps a familiar face, wobbling on his feet, likely from not being used to the water.
"Eurwyn," Draco says, and then shouts, "Eurwyn!"
Eurwyn's face lights up, his discomfort forgotten as Draco stares at him. The dockmaster steps back, as does the captain. It feels as though everything comes to a halt as Eurwyn makes his way across the rickety bridge, nearly running into Draco's arms.
This can't be real, Draco thinks, pulling Eurwyn into a hug and lifting him off the ground. But it is, because Eurwyn's arms are around his shoulders, clinging to him like he's going to lose him again. He feels Eurwyn shake, his shoulders trembling as Draco sets him down and stares down at him, and then —
His hands are under Eurwyn's jaw, tilting his head up so he can kiss him. It's only the second time he's ever kissed Eurwyn but it feels like coming home, even as Eurwyn's cheeks run wet with tears. When they pull apart, Eurwyn's voice cracks with emotion as he speaks, babbling about how much he'd missed Draco, about everything and nothing.
"Eurwyn," Draco says, his chest feeling light, "I missed you."
"I missed you, too, Draco." Eurwyn answers, "I couldn't… I couldn't do it without you."
Then it's Draco's turn to feel tears burn behind his eyes, threatening to fall.
Around them, people have stopped to watch the scene unfold. The captain of the ship leans against the railing of the dock, the dockmaster does the same. But none of it registers in Draco's head — he's too focused on Eurwyn with his bright, mismatched eyes staring up at him, his lips pink from being kissed…
"I love you," Draco says, Eurwyn's hands in his, "I love you, and I'm sorry I never said anything before. I was so stubborn, so stupid—"
"I love you, too." Eurwyn says, cutting him off. He's still crying, his nose and eyes turning red.
For all the attention they're drawing, Draco can't bring himself to care. He's got much more important things to worry about — such as pulling Eurwyn into another kiss, finally letting tears leak down his cheeks.

So, after reading Mysterious Akavir in game, I'm headcanoning that the Tang Mo are similar to khajiit in terms of the determination of their breed. For example, the same moon cycle that could produce a housecat breed of khajiit could produce a lemur-like Tang Mo, or the same that produces the khajiit as we know them could produce a gorilla Tang Mo.
I'm also headcanoning that the khajiit are distantly related to the Ka Po'Tun. You can't give me two races of cat people and expect me not to.

Akavir (unofficial concept art)
Not much is known about the mysterious land to the east of Tamriel, however they have more than once tried to invade Tamriel. There are four main sections with four races dominating each region, the Tsaesci, Ka Po’Tun, Kamal, and Tang Mo.
Ka Po’Tun, the Tiger-Dragon Empire
The Ka Po’Tun are a race of tiger like cat-folk, probably similar to the Khajiiti, however it is unknown how closely related they are, if at all. Black Dragons lived on Po’Tun for a time, but presumably soon after they arrived, all dragons were defeated in a great war. Then the Po’Tun attempted to become dragons, but only their leader Tosh Raka managed to turn do so. This plus their alliance with the Tang Mo have led them to become a formidable foe to the powerful Tsaesci.
Tsaesci, the Snake-men
The Tsaesci are perhaps the most powerful of the Akavir. They “ate all of the Men of Akavir” which may be literal or metaphorical, meaning they assimilated with them, as the next phrase says that they “still kind of look like them.” They most likely have humaniod upper bodies and a large snake-like tail instead of legs. In battle, the Tsaesci are known to use only swords rather than armor or shields.
Tang Mo, the Monkey-People
The Tang Mo are “ kind, brave, and simple” folk who live on the Thousand Monkey Isles. They have been the victim of every race of Akavir at one time or another, but still live so must be able to defend themselves quite well. There are reportedly “many breeds of money-folk” but all are considered to be Tang Mo.
Kamal, the Ice Demons
The Kamal are demons who are frozen in ice. Every summer they thaw and bring terror to the Tang Mo. They live in what is called Snow Hell. Once a leader of the Kamal tried to conquer Morrowind but was defeated at Red Mountain by Almalexia and the Underking.
Information from Mysterious Akavir, and some Tsaesci information from 2920, Morning Star (v1) including the conclusion of their appearance.

what do you think the pantheon for each akaviri races are like? Any daedric princes that might be included? And also do you think there could be a deity worshipped there but remains unknown in Tamriel? Love ur posts btw!
I haven't really thought about Daedra in Akavir yet but I imagine that daedric worship isn't as stigmatised there (ofc depending on the prince).
I definitely think there are likely gods we don't know of since ESO gave us some gods we've never heard of but could just be akaviri names for known gods.
However I think in Akavir things arn't as simple as Aedra/Daedra, as the Kamal themselves came from the Magna Ge (headcanon: That when the Magna Ge left Nirn some of the magic of the holes they made landed on the snows of Kamal creating the Kamali hence why they're called 'demons').Spiritual worship tends to be more of the main focus of Kamal. They believe in the Kamasil which if a Kamal doesn't go to rest peacefully they're going to come back as an angry snow spirit called a Kamasil. Thus a religious practice in kamal is called O-Te Kamasil which is a priest who deals with these angry spirits.
This belief is unique to the Kamal. But they do take on some Tsaesci beliefs (Tsaesci are sort of the Akavir version of imperials and by that I mean they stick their noses in everyone's business thus everyones got their religion) But the main gods in the Tsaesci religion are: Z'en, Aka, Alduin, Myn, Zisa, Nyfa and Ilni. Ironically despite being called Dragon Land, Z'en is the most profound god in the akaviri religion. And it is common to curse: 'By Z'en!' 'For Z'en's sake' etc.
In akaviri art work due to the mixed views of dragons, these gods are sometimes depicted as dragons and sometimes mortal races. In Tsaesci dragons art hunted, in Ka Po'tun Dragons are worshipped, in Kamal they generally keep away from dragons (due to their belief of spirits coming back and they don't want a spirit dragon), and Tang Mo also generally avoid them.
Tsaesci gods are also known to have demi-aedra or lesser aedra offspring such as Shinoginxhi and Xhinadorasai who are the children of Zisa + Ilni and Myn + Nyfa respectively. This can also be seen with dragons being the lesser aedra of Aka.
Other gods that are extremely important to the Tsaesci are Lorkan and Satakal. The Tsaesci believe they gained their serpentine forms as the last gift from Lorkan while he died (slain by Aka). They also believe that Satakal is the child of Lorkan and represents a side Tsaesci like to hide (the hungry serpent). This is why the vampiric strain that effects Tsaesci in particular (Note: in my headcanons Tsaesci aren't actually vampiric that's a misconception made by people from tamriel due to the importance of blood magic in their culture.) is called the Satakal strain. So along with Z'en you could say Lorkan is their most important god as they call their snake from their 'Lorkan Blessed skin'.
