I really enjoyed Watchers by Dean Koonz, and I remember enjoy his Frankenstein stuff. When the Wind Blows is probably the only thing from Patterson that I'd recommend.
Stephen King's fantasy stuff is really good too, particularly the Dark Tower series, The Talisman and The eyes of the dragon.
Xanth is done for now.
Now onto Odd Thomas. Mom keeps telling me to read the series so going to give it a chance.
FYI, if anyone has any suggestions for what I should read next, let me know.

After Death by Dean Koonz
I finished this book last night. I thought it was pretty good. This is the third Koonz book I've read where the main evil doer is and organization, the Internal Security Agency (ISA). The difference between this book and the other two, this book has one of those super evil crazy villains that Koonts creates so well.
