I want to narrate Sai's ambush on Sasuke because it doesn't make sense:

Sai briefly met Sasuke for the first time a couple of hours ago. During their short meeting, Sasuke made it clear that he had no interest in dealing with Sai or discussing Naruto's feelings.

So after a few hours, Sai decides to sneak into Sasuke's bedroom while he's asleep. For some reason, Sai believes that Sasuke will have heartfelt chat with him and be overjoyed, because Sai is taking him back to Konoha.

It’s also important to let Sasuke know that you initially intended to kill him but changed your mind (good grief, Sasuke, you're safe now). Despite having experienced Sasuke's opinion on that matter firsthand, Sai still chooses to discuss Naruto’s bonds. Naruto is desperately holding onto Sasuke, so Sasuke is expected to comply. Sai doesn't ask for Sasuke's side of the story, apparently he's already expert in team 7 relationship.

fun fact: Sasuke is so unbothered that he doesn't even turn over.

Also, I wonder if Danzo really believed that Sai would be able to eliminate Sasuke, he knew Uchihas, he knew their abilities, he feared them and suddenly Sai's brush vs Sharingan makes sense?

for literal yeeeeears at this point i’ve occasionally checked the “misc anime” bins around my town’s resale shops looking for kagepro stuff, knowing it was in vain, so IMAGINE MY SURPRISE when i landed on this today!!!! an angel lost its wings at my city’s bookoff!!!!!! if they’d had kido too i def would have taken mekatrio home (or maybe not - they were p expensive at ~¥1500 each). the second konoha was hanging on a different hook and was actually the first one i spotted - took me like 15 seconds to believe what i was seeing - so i had to take him home. he was just lost. it’s ok i’ve got him now

in related news, the mekatrio mug w the disappearing kido which is the coolest thing ever and of which i came into possession in february 2021 by paying ~$50 including shipping, is in fact, available with high supply on japanese mercari
