KIM SUNG KYU IMPRESSED BY FANS' CHORUS -FANS PROUDLY CHANT: MALAYSIA BOLEH!

Kuala Lumpur, 11th August 2024 - Organised by D-SHOW, with Offbeat and 43 as Promoters, the two- day shows of the 2024 Kim Sung Kyu [LV:3 Let's Vacay] Asia Tour in Kuala Lumpur, were successfully held last night and this afternoon at Zepp Kuala Lumpur. The moment Sung Kyu appeared on stage, he was met with screams from INSPIRITs (the boy band’s fandom). He greeted everyone in Malay, saying: “Apa khabar semua, saya Kim Sung Kyu!” right after singing three opening songs. This concert was Sung Kyu's debut solo show in Malaysia, he shared: “It’s been a long time since INFINITE last performed in Malaysia, and I’m so happy to finally see my fans here again!” He also shared that he had a restful night before the show and ate Malaysia’s must-try food, Nasi Lemak.

As he performed his first solo track, "41th", fans responded with excitement, shouting, "We love it!" He continued to captivate the audience with his talent and charm, performing other hits like "Climax," "It Will Be", "Jump", "Go Again", "Kontrol" and "Sorry" leaving fans satisfied. During his performance of "Small Talk" and "60sec", fans joined in the chorus, prompting Sung Kyu to give a thumbs up and praise them, saying, "You sang so well, I’m really surprised!" In response, the fans proudly exclaimed, "Malaysia Boleh!" Sung Kyu, who participated in several musicals, asked the audience if they had seen his performances, some fans responded, "Yes!" and said that they had travelled to South Korea to support him.

When fans repeatedly requested a reunion of INFINITE for a show in Malaysia, his promise to return to Kuala Lumpur with the group sparked immediate excitement. As soon as he announced, "This is the last song for today," fans responded with shouts of "No!” With heartfelt emotion, he said, "It’s been more than 10 years since I last came to Malaysia, but you know, I’ve always been with you. So much has happened in these 10 years - I’ve cried and laughed. Thank you for always supporting me. I love you!" The concert wrapped up with encore songs "Kontrol", "My Everyday Is You", "답가" and "끌림".

Tickets come with fan benefits and will go on sale 17th July

(Kuala Lumpur, 9th July 2024) - Kim Sung Kyu, the leader of K-pop group INFINITE, sent  INSPIRIT – the boy band’s fandom – on a high with the announcement of his upcoming solo  Asia Tour, with two nights in Kuala Lumpur as his first stop! 

Organised by D-SHOW, with Offbeat and 43 as Promoters, 2024 Kim Sung Kyu Concert [LV3:  Let's Vacay] Asia Tour in Kuala Lumpur is scheduled for Saturday, 10th August at 8pm and  Sunday, 11th August at 4pm, taking place at Zepp Kuala Lumpur. 

INSPIRIT in Malaysia will have the privilege to be the first to experience the tour, which marks  Sung Kyu’s first time in the country after 11 years, as well as his debut solo performance here. 

With [LV3: Let's Vacay], Sung Kyu continues his [LV] solo tour after [LV2: Like Your Vibes] last year and [LV1: Light & Voice] the year before, it is definitely a not-to-be-missed occasion for fans anticipating his appearance.  

Always a well-known figure of K-pop, Sung Kyu debuted in 2010 as the leader of INFINITE  with their first mini album "First Invasion", which includes the lead single "Come Back Again" that cemented their reputation in the new K-pop generation. He would go on to carve out a  successful multifaceted career through music, films, TV shows, musicals and hosting. 

After completing military service in 2020, Sung Kyu jumped back into the scene with a three day “Shine Encore” solo concert in Seoul, appearances in shows and musicals, as well as the  release of his third mini album "Inside Me", maintaining an active presence since then. Since  his debut solo mini album "Another Me" in 2012, he has released 1 studio album and 5 mini  albums to date.
