His perception might not have been the best outside of determining what someone literally glued to his side was doing, but her fiddling around his waistline was easily determined- if not a driving factor for him jostling her a few times under the guise of straightening her up to give himself a moment just to consider her touch...he had no idea what to make of such grabbing and fussing right away, having only really been one to fuss or grab at companions with his hands above the belt, and though he certainly trusted her enough to have not dropped her by now, he still erred on the side of caution if only because he was aware of how he'd (albeit, mindlessly at the time-) harmed plenty of the people in camp he considered himself at least halfway amiable towards, it was paramount she didn't join them.

Her suggestion had him biting his lip, pinning it back with his tusks as he considered just what her being blunt would entail when her words already ruffled him like an owlbear fluffed up against a winter breeze. Granted, they were alone now (well hopefully- as far as his dark vision could make out of the dim lighting in the shed) so he figured he could endure her nit-picking without going catatonic. "I said that I liked ya, did I? Can't recall doin' a thing like that, but...sure it wasn't the tadpole whisp'rin what ya wanna hear?" Birvor mused, though he didn't want a tadpole of all things taking credit for how she clung to him now, so he was quick to dip his head and nuzzle just under her chin for a moment- long enough to scoop her head back with a light jerk of his tusks so he had room to press his lips shortly to the soft underside of her jaw- just long enough to feel whatever vibrations might emerge and give him a proper idea of if she was enjoying the attention or if he could expect a swat in due time. Though with how he fastened his grip on her thighs resolve at trying to crush him between them, it would seem he'd be content with taking any blows that might come of his teasing.

Though from the sound he felt burble forth against his mouth as she considered his relenting compliment, he had little more to worry about than perhaps some damaged armor buckles should she pull at them too earnestly around the assortment of belts that made up the druidic styled tunic she'd found for him after his last raging incident shredded much of the last armor's leather bindings. Not wanting her to bend a nail back with the effort it would take to quickly dispatch them, he ensured she had to hold on to the straps as he swung them both around and backed her into a window opening that faced the opposite side of camp. Nothing but a bit of a field and a rocky drop off towards the bay through the opening greeted them through it, but he nudged her part way into the nook- not for the view, but for a spot to help keep her balanced as he relented and retrieved one of his arms and set it to the slow task of unfastening an assortment of buckles he at least knew the locations of without having to break contact between his mouth and the warm pulse in her neck, though few words found their way between during the exchange.

"-wha, you'd prefer some sour n'stead?" He huffed against the dip of scar tissue along her neck, making no move afterwards to dissuade her from finding his gaze as his attention settled on sliding straps down off his shoulder once freed from their clasps, face warm- yet focused. The feeling of the scar on her neck tingled still against his lips and he wondered how it got there so that he could find and crush the source of it.

Once the feeling of the bay's breeze through the window became more evident against his chest, he gave a little shake to shrug the shoulder pads off, ignoring how the torso bindings sagged in place, just a snap or two away from joining the rest of the armor below. When his fingers fell onto one of the last buckles, he felt hers already there working away. As his eyes drifted up through his lashes to settle on hers, he felt his face mirrored the same purple shade of her eyes- though not nearly as vibrant as it was on her. "...and you're never wearin' nearly enough-" Which he proved by guiding his remaining hand on her thigh up until it was pressed cozy between her skin and the fabric of the skirt he tested with a small yank to upset the symmetry of how it rested upon her hips. "Real one to talk 'bout des'pration, here..."
