Your muse’s name: Sarah Elizabeth Rook, Junior Deputy with the Hope County Sheriff’s Department (FC5)

Two headcanons you have for your muse:  1) Sarah’s parents were quite religious (not fanatical), and Sarah’s mom taught her to rely on the bible in times of need/worry/strife. After Sarah’s mom died when Sarah was still young, her dad lost his faith and Sarah was often lonely growing up, teased for her spirituality (she often carried a bible around with her, usually hidden b/c of her peers). She read the bible often, relying on it for comfort from her sadness (not many friends, & was never close to her dad = often felt isolated/alone). As a result, she’s very well-versed in its passages. She doesn’t discuss it as an adult, both b/c of her past and because - as one might imagine - religion is a bit of a sore subject in Hope County.  (It does, however, make her a bit of an adversary for a certain religious leader who wields biblical passages like a weapon.) 2) Another trait Sarah does her best to keep hidden: in times of alarm, she recites bible passages to help her calm down and focus. Most times she can do this in her head so that others don’t overhear/see this - but if she’s scared enough and starts to have a panic attack, sometimes the recitation involuntarily gets spoken aloud (this has happened at least a couple times in ‘The Book of John’).

Three things your muse loves doing in their free time: 1) Being out in nature 2) Stealing away to a church when she can, to just sit in a pew for a little peace/solitude/meditation/reflection (as most churches in Hope County are now abandoned) 3) Being with her Hope County friends (making up for lost time from her lonely upbringing)

Seven people your muse loves:  1) Sharky Boshaw (platonic best friend) 2) Nick & Kim Rye (like a surrogate family) 3) Sheriff Earl Whitehorse (like a father figure) 4) Boomer 5) Peaches & Cheeseburger (yes, I’m counting ‘em as one, lol) - nervous/fearful of them at first, but grew to love them like ‘big, dangerous babies’ (and they love her back!) 6) Deputies Staci Pratt & Joey Husdon - like the siblings she never had  7) John Seed (...eventually, lol)

A phobia your muse has:  Sarah’s vulnerable inside b/c she’s been hurt multiple times by multiple people she trusted in the past (which will come out in my fic later, lol). Though she tries not to dwell in the pain of the past & tries to act tough (talks like a sailor sometimes, lol), deep down she’s hesitant to open her heart completely to anyone for fear of being hurt again. While she’s used to feeling isolated, she hates the feeling and is also fearful of losing her newfound friends/those she considers like family in Hope County.
