Breaking News: Well in the mists...

They still got married. Jason Duggar and Maddie Jones are the new Mr and Mrs of the Duggar family. They married October 3rd 2024.

Bridal party includes Jedidiah Duggar as the best man and 3 other brothers James, Justin and Jackson and 4 of his sisters Johannah, Jennifer, Jordyn and Josie. Looks like also 4 others are in the party as well based on the number of hands and bodies in this photo.

Duggar Predictions 2023

Jim Bob and Michelle - I don't think his weight loss journey will be as easy as he expects it to be, it's rarely smooth sailing and I speak from experience.

Josh and Anna - Returns to social media once all appeals are exhausted. Continues quietly visiting Josh.

Jana - Whispers of a courtship but she's just happy with her plants.

John and Abbie - We find out Charlie's full name and birthday so I can fill in a blank on my spreadsheet.

Jill and Derick - I don't expect #4 to be too far behind Frederick and I think we will have an announcement around Christmas. Israel and Samuel return to school next academic year.

Jessa and Ben - Another baby, Jessa gives birth in odd years. I think it will be a boy this time. Normal first name, weird middle name.

Jinger and Jeremy - Book is boring with little new information. Have baby #3, a girl.

Joe and Kendra - Another baby (#5), obvs. #4's name is revealed via a sex prediction board, an Instagram comment, someone calling his (yes I am still convinced it's a boy) name or something along those lines. Remain quiet on social media. House move if they haven't moved already.

Jed and Katey - Nora born in May and another baby baking by the end of the year.

I predicted that Justin&Claire would announce a pregnancy in may. They didn't. They are really taking their time with just the two of them and I can't say anything else then 'good for them'.

But since they are fundies, let's make a new prediction. I think they will announce in november 2023. What do you think?

Baby Rodrigues 1 is on the way!

As the clock ticked over from 2024 to 2025, Timothy and Heidi Rodrigues made an exciting announcement - they are expecting their first child! They also gave an exact due date, 12th July 2025. Praise be! I somehow never did the couple's wedding data, so take this speedy pregnancy data as a compromise.

Early, Late, or On Time? Before this announcement, the average marriage-to-firstborn pace was 371 days across all Duggar, Bates and Rodrigues announcements. The Rodrigues average was 343 days, but with large variability as Nurie had a relatively long pace for her first child and Kaylee's was very short due to Gideon being premature.

This meant Tim and Heidi weren't expected to have a baby until September 2025, so this baby has come slightly early. However, it is very much within what the spreadsheet expects, and was only 0.59 Standard Deviations early.

Timing of Pregnancy Announcement Much more typical than the other Rodrigues announcements, I can say! Across all spreadsheet couples, the average to announce was on Day 99 (14 weeks, 1 day). However, when you just look at the Rodrigues family, the average is much, much earlier on Day 46 (6 weeks, 4 days). Tim and Heidi come in at a more typical pace of announcing on Day 88 (12 weeks, 4 days). Obviously couples are welcome to announce whenever they want, but this announcement is far more average!

The average spreadsheet couple now announces on Day 98 (14 weeks). Tim and Heidi were 0.34 Standard Deviations earlier to announce than the average predictor couple now is. This data point will now be used to estimate when Tim and Heidi will announce future pregnancies.

Due Date This one is clear, thanks guys! Timmy said, 'Heidi and I are thrilled to announce that we are expecting a baby come July 12th.'

Impact on the Data This has slightly quickened the pace of a first baby after marriage from 371 days to the new average of 368 days. This has affected Jana Wissmann, Jason Duggar, Justin Duggar and Jackson Bates. It has also significantly quickened Tim and Heidi's predicted pace. They are now expected to have eleven children, up from eight just after their wedding day.

Baby 2? Assuming no changes to the second child multiplier before then, the couple are predicted to announce Baby 2 in April 2026 for a birth that November. The predicted spacing between these two pregnancies is a speedy 482 days.
