cavan got an ask about it so i am thinking of it but it is truly really funny when raven neil aus have ichirou or kengo or even tetsuji for that matter weirdly fixated on neil even if it's in a bad way (re: going out of their way to abuse him). the powerful men with a bloody empire that cannot even acknowledge their own blood family in riko would not spare a single thought for some no name wesninski downgrade in the perfect court i fear.............. as far as they are concerned pc members are literal dirt under their shoes. just a deeply unserious way to create angst for a character that does not need it

#either ur doing mind games to urself bc u cant accept it#or ur social group is going to tear u apart for Doing Something They Deem Wrong so ur trying to find loopholes#either scenario is Bad#this isnt me getting pressed thats nothing to be mad about im just thinking#im a gambling addict in another life surely#but in this one i get bored really fast of rolling gacha#every once in a while is fun. random shiny object(png) to give u false joy for a few seconds#but like. to save for a specific gacha card. talking f2p here not buying anything. after like 4-5 rolls#its just a drag. its a chore. some mindless chore to get a png#so if i do buy anything its one roll. which is still bad bc the prices make getting eaten by wolves look good in comparison#but i could never be one of those people calling their bank at 4am bc they spent $5k on game data#a game thats on a server thats lucky if it lasts 5 whole years#part of why i didnt mind paying for proseka in particular is bc i wanted a mobile voca rhythm game#since i got into sif in like 2015. so in those early days i was like well. i do want to see it stick around as long as possible#but now its Fucking Huge And Well Loved so i feel no desire to pay#its ingrained in fucking vocacolle proseka's fine i dont think its dying anytime soon#i barely play anymore bc my wrists are more important than games#but i do still care about it on a level of like. how its part of the community#comming producers for unit songs & adding in various existing songs#and my favorite the proseka next events where small vocaP have the chance to get added & get noticed#& also adding winning vocacolle songs. its a good game in that way. & the beat maps are usually fun#in a way where theres room for error & its not like bandori where ur trying to hit mini travel sized oreos launched at u at high speeds#& u have to do it EXACTLY. which could just be a skill issue but it makes it utterly unfun to me#ensemble does that to me too & i resent it but ensemble has the isotopes so i can overlook it

i think im gonna brave retail again for one last spell over the next 6-8 months ............
#im fortunate that im able to stay w my family rn cuz some of the other sibs are doing grad school n shit as commuters#and my school is helping w living expenses but i still need to work so i can start saving properly again after not being able to for ages#it has to be a fun job tho i think im gonna go for a games store a music store (not instrument but like cds) and like hottopic or sum shit#i did briefly work in a clothing store a few years ago it was a platos closet clone and that one made me feel weird bc of how brand obsessed#ppl were#like they didnt look for stuff bc it appealed to their tastes they were obsessed w owning MK#just to say they owned MK#brand loyalty isnt always mindless but it's like do you LIKE that uglyass purse maam or do you like the MK logo😭

trying knitting again and i figured out how to purl finally but also i'm using wood needles instead of metal ones like i've used in the past and i'm enjoying the experience so much more. i did not like how much the yarn slid on metal needles and the wood ones just help keep my stitches in place a lot better... i really just want to learn to make socks and maybe a few sweaters someday but i'm also open to whatever catches my fancy. right now i'm just doing a scarf in stockinette to get the hang of how to hold my needles and yarn and to use up an old yarn cake i had no other use for that was leftover from those baby blankets i made a few years ago so that's awesome too.
#shay speaks#theres a small local yarn/craft store in the next town over that i got these needles on sale at#they were having a hard time selling them so i got 6mm wood (i think theyre birch) needles for like $5#and i got some free stitch markers too yippie#but i'm having a lot of fun just knitting while watching videos or letting r1999 play in the background for the story#giving me something mindless to do to help focus on those things...#although just doing stockinette this thing is curling REAL BAD but thats fine... thats fineeeeeeeeeeeee#but yeah idk what i'm gonna do next but socks and maybe the no frills sweater are kinda on my bucket list#maybe i'll fall in love with sweater making who knows#but also !!! the vintage crochet channel i follow is also learning knitting and she was working on#a pattern from 1912 that i really like and i might see about making that for the lighthouse#after i can finish my crochet shawl. just to give myself options to look stylish but simple#anyway yeah i'll take pics laterrrrrr i've got quite a bit done and the final scarf is probably gonna be real long when its done#im not even to the first color change in it and i want to use the whole cake and get it out of my collection

wish I could get (and stay) in the zone with writing like I can with drawing
#working on a pretty drawing is addictive I like compulsively come back to it#I can lose track of time while drawing uninterrupted#writing is fun but it's always very intentional I can't lose myself in it in the same way#probably why I struggle getting writing done consistently but I never feel like I have to make myself draw#anyway probably a mix of things but also writing is using some of the same braining that I have to use during the rest of the day#vs drawing feels almost mindless bc I get to use a different part of my brain than I do for work or whatever idk#just spitballing here#anyway my theory is that other people on here who always shock/impress me with their wordcount can achieve that kind of flow with writing#wonder if there's a way I could try and cultivate that

The CritRole Werewolf au is a mighty nein werewolf au. I set it in a vaguely modern world, but... in the 90s/early 00's. I wanted it to have some Buffy/Blair Witch/Lost Boys vibes. Like, grotesque and terrifying but with moments of absurd humor and a really bitchin' soundtrack. The Brjeau's are, loosely, the main characters.
Beau and Fjord were the intro duo. They're amateaur ghost hunters touring the country's most haunted locations. They're using Beau's absent fathers' credit card to fund them sleeping in Fjord's work van and get them access to dope shit like handheld video cameras and microphones that Beau uses to prove the supernatural is real. (Fjord films/runs tech. He a) doesn't believe in the supernatural and b) is terrified of it).
They pair up with Caleb- a mysterious dude in a long duster coat with a weird accent who may or may not be a monster hunter, and Veth- who's definitely just some normal housewife who just so happens to hate werewolves and definitely isn't one. They join the team after a scary event where Fjord is lost for a few days in some weird haunted place/sacred temple to some old forgotten wolf god. Caleb and Veth want to make sure Fjord isn't cursed, Beau is thrilled to be proven right that the supernatural exists, and Fjord thinks this is all ridiculous. So what that he's been having some weird dreams? That doesn't mean anything.
(You can see where this is going).
To keep things reigned in, I tried to limit all the supernatural entities to just werewolves (save for Fjord's eventual eldritch horror wolf thing he has going on).
Yasha, Caduceus, Fjord, Veth and Jester are all werewolves. Some of them were born werewolves, some of them were turned. Some were turned willingly, some not(t). Caleb and Beau remain Team Human (though Scourgers are now werewolf hunters, and through grueling training are a weird almost "half" werewolf, so they can't be turned).
#If I included Molly he would be killed during Fjord's first transformation#to keep things loosely in line with canon events.#caleb would be a reformed hunter who got kicked out of hunting society#bc he started to go hey what if werewolves AREN'T just mindless killing machines?#and astrid n eadwulf blocked him#i have it loosely set in north america#to really keep the buffy slash scooby doo slash lost boys vibes#but then LMAOOO god i started talking about an ukotoa temple#aka some sort of evil wolf spirit temple thing#where fjord gets cursed#and like???? where would you find THAT in north america??? what am i on???#anyways that will need some finessing#but otherwise this is purely an au of no thoughts just vibes#caddy has a fun genetic condition in that he is a werewolf born to werewolf parents#but he actually cannot shift! he's in his lil human form only#yasha is a naturally born werewolf as well and has mostly lived away from humans#veth was of course forcefully turned when her family was attacked#jester met artagan (a werewolf. more like a coyote lmao) and thought he was so neat#she let him bite her so they could play together more#jester acts more like a dog and doesn't get why everyone is so obsessed with violence#(until she gets it)#and fjord is of course cursed and has no control of his cursed form#all the other werewolves are just like... people that also turn into wolves#fjords curse is where the mindless beast myths come from and hes just a big ol killing machine#anyways.... yeah! thats the crittyrole werewolf au#if you (or anyone) wants more#i have about 800 words written that i can share#wip#werewolves#critical role

Sims 4 Mel is by far the most miserable excuse for a sim I ever had to deal with.
This guy does not want to be happy. Getting him to a point where he's simply "fine" has proven impossible so far. But eh, I like the challenge.
