The Glory (2022 -

A woman lives for absolute revenge against her childhood bullies who destroyed her life.

📝A superb drama about revenge. It's just unlike anything else I have ever seen, everything is just perfectly written, directed and shot. The first two episodes are a little slow so bear with it, and it really makes you hate the people who are doing the wrong and committing abuse but boy oh boy do they get the revenge they deserve! Absolutely brilliant. This was my first Korean Drama (or KDrama as it is widely known as) and I am now going to check out more shows from there. I highly recommend this if you like a good revenge drama and good twists. It is a proper binge-worthy show.

O pai de Mariah, avô de Mark, morre e ele tem sua primeira visão de um fantasma. A experiência o assustou tanto que passou a ser a causa de seus pesadelos.

Nasce sua primeira meio-irmã, Tonya. Mark leva sua primeira surra da madrasta ao tentar pegar a irmã no colo, alegando que ele estava passando sua maldição para o bebê.

PARTE 2 ; TRAINING

Mark é enviado para um colégio interno, mas causa um acidente no caminho e é resgatado por Svetlana Athalar, a semideusa de origem desconhecida que se torna sua mestra e o ensina tudo o que sabe.

⠀⠀✗⠀⠀2009-2012, onze a quatorze anos

Foi treinado de diversas maneiras por sua mestra. Não tinham exatamente uma casa, viviam viajando pelo país para evitar serem encontrados por monstros, então ele conheceu várias partes dos Estados Unidos. Mas sempre andavam a pé e longe do mar, era sua maior regra. Nesse meio tempo Mark aprendeu a manusear muito bem armas variadas, assim como aprendeu luta corpo a corpo, sobrevivência em ambientes diversos e como caçar animais selvagens.

⠀⠀✗⠀⠀2012, quatorze anos

Mark foi atacado em um cemitério e quase morreu. Naquele momento, descobriu seus poderes ao derramar sangue no solo e pedir ajuda para os fantasmas ao seu redor. Percebendo que talvez não conseguisse mantê-lo viva sozinha e temendo que dois semideuses andando juntos fosse perigoso demais, Svetlana levou Mark para o Acampamento.

PARTE 3 ; CAMP HALF BLOOD

⠀⠀✗⠀⠀2013-2014, quinze a dezesseis anos

Treinou no acampamento ao lado de campistas de sua idade. Mostrou-se muito bom com vários tipos de armas e aprendeu a usar outros, inclusive a sua cimitarra dupla. Enquanto isso, treinava o uso de seu poder sozinho, evoluindo para o nível II.

⠀⠀✗⠀⠀junho de 2015, dezessete anos

Após invocar mais um fantasma na caverna dos deuses como se tornou seu costume, Mark recebeu uma visita de sua mãe pela primeira vez. Ela lhe alertou sobre não usar seu poder levianamente, mas ele achou ser apenas uma questão ética, então não levou o alerta muito em consideração. Mais tarde, naquele mesmo dia, ela o reclamou perante todo o Acampamento e Mark se mudou para o chalé 27.

⠀⠀✗⠀⠀setembro de 2015, dezessete anos

Mark sai em sua primeira missão para recuperar um objeto mágico para Quíron. Seu grupo obtém sucesso, mas ele ganha uma cicatriz nova na costela após uma luta com um minotauro.

⠀⠀✗⠀⠀2016, dezoito anos

Mark sai em mais algumas missões e adquire o costume de, sempre que sai em uma missão nova, faz uma tatuagem nova.

⠀⠀✗⠀⠀2017-2019, dezenove a vinte e um anos

Ele participa da batalha contra Gaia diretamente, estando quase sempre na linha de frente e fazendo uso de seus poderes para convencer alguns fantasmas a lutarem ao seu lado.

⠀⠀✗⠀⠀2019, vinte e um anos

Após a batalha contra Gaia, recebe uma visita de sua mãe o contando os reais motivos para ele não poder usar seus poderes tão desenfreadamente.

⠀⠀✗⠀⠀janeiro de 2020, vinte e um anos

Lidera sua primeira missão, mas esta tem um final trágico e Thomas, filho de Deimos, acaba morrendo no processo. Neste dia, Mark recebe uma maldição do deus.

⠀⠀✗⠀⠀março de 2020, vinte e um anos

Decide começar a estudar no mundo mortal, usando de seus contatos mortos e um pouco de manipulação da névoa para falsificar documentos para que acreditassem que ele tinha se formado no ensino médio com honras e entrar na prestigiada escola de Direito de Harvard.

⠀⠀✗⠀⠀2020-2023, vinte e um a vinte e cinco anos

Período de paz. Mark se reveza entre os estudos no mundo mortal e os verões no Acampamento, onde participa de mais missões, mas nenhuma tem um final tão trágico. Ele eleva de nível II para nível III, mesmo usando bem menos seus poderes em consequência do aviso da mãe, e se torna instrutor de arco e flecha.

PARTE 4 ; CURRENT TIMES

⠀⠀✗⠀⠀dezembro de 2023: o chamado e comemorações de natal

Mark estava estudando para provas de meio período quando o chamado de Dionísio chegou, e largou tudo do jeito que estava em seu dormitório para ir para o Acampamento. Ele é um pouco Grinch na época do natal, então não exatamente é a pessoa mais festiva do mundo, mas apesar de ficar meio de longe apenas observando, é possível vê-lo sorrindo discretamente ao ver seus amigos se divertindo.

⠀⠀✗⠀⠀janeiro de 2024, o ataque

Ajuda a proteger o acampamento do ataque do manticore e da quimera e não possui ferimentos graves, mas visita a enfermaria com frequência depois disso.

⠀⠀✗⠀⠀fevereiro de 2024, festa dos líderes e surpresa do submundo

Comparece à festa dos líderes e contribui fazendo drinks ao melhor estilo universitário que aprendeu durante sua estadia em Harvard. Após a abertura da fenda, passa a mandar fantasmas observarem Petrus de longe e lhe contarem o que ele estava tramando, mas não descobre nada nos primeiros dias e por isso acaba desistindo.

⠀⠀✗⠀⠀março de 2024, missões

Mark se revolta por não ter sido escolhido para nenhuma missão e acaba tendo uma discussão com Quíron por causa disso, o que lhe rende uma punição de lavar pratos por uma semana.

⠀⠀✗⠀⠀abril de 2024, segredos revelados e caça ao cão infernal

Não se surpreende por saber que Petrus realmente estava envolvido em merda, mas trinca os dentes e secretamente se enfurece por não ter sido ele a descobrir aquelas informações. Ajuda na caça ao cão infernal, usando seus contatos fantasmas para isso, e acaba ferido pelos escorpiões que saíram da fenda. Não foi diretamente envenenado, mas torceu o tornozelo de maneira vergonhosa ao lutar contra um.

⠀⠀✗⠀⠀maio de 2024, aniversário

Dá uma pequena festa de aniversário no chalé de Melinoe para comemorar seus vinte e sete anos, chamando apenas os amigos mais próximos de outros chalés. Porém, acabam sendo descobertos e todos os semideuses de outros chalés que compareceram, assim como o próprio Mark por ter organizado, são punidos e obrigados a limpar os estábulos por uma semana.

⠀⠀✗⠀⠀julho de 2024, ilha de circe

Ajudou a espalhar armadilhas pela ilha, mas só se deu ao trabalho de ficar lá enquanto fazia isso. Não aproveitou as comodidades da ilha, desconfiado demais de que acabasse caindo em alguma armadilha por lá, então voltou para o Acampamento e dormiu em seu chalé todos os dias.

⠀⠀✗⠀⠀agosto de 2024, fechando a fenda

Ajuda no combate a Campe durante o fechamento e não tem ferimentos, mas durante a batalha acaba tropeçando e quase cai na fenda antes dela ser fechada.

Nằm trong chuỗi phim quay ngược thời gian cùng với những cái tên đình đám như Lời hồi đáp 1988, Lời hồi đáp 1994, ở Lời hồi đáp 1997, khán giả được quay trở về với cuộc sống người dân Hàn Quốc, đặc biệt là giới trẻ những năm 90 trong giai đoạn làn sóng Kpop nở rộ và những câu lạc bộ fan cuồng nhiệt ra đời,…

Bất cứ thời đại nào, tôi tin tuổi trẻ vẫn là khoảng thời gian đẹp đẽ và khó quên nhất mà chúng ta từng trải qua. Một trái tim chân thành và cháy bỏng dành cho những điều ta yêu – đó cũng chính là những tháng năm tuổi trẻ của nhóm bạn 6 người: Sung Shi Won, Yoon Yoon Jae, Kang Jun Hee, Mo Yoo Jung, Do Hak Chan, Bang Sung Jae.

Phải chăng tuổi trẻ khó quên vì những lời yêu còn bỏ ngỏ? 

Với mối tình đơn phương của Yoon Jae với Shi Won và những cảm xúc không thể gọi tên của Kang Jun Hee thì có lẽ là như vậy. 

“Vô tình gặp nhau trên đường. Lấy cùng một cuốn sách ở thư viện. Ai đó vào che nhờ ô của tôi. Tôi cứ nghĩ tình yêu phải đặc biệt như thế. Nhưng nó không giống như tôi tưởng tượng.”

Những thổn thức đầu tiên của trái tim đến thật bất chợt. Bỗng một ngày, bạn nhận ra cô bạn lớn lên bên cạnh mình từ thuở bé cùng cắp sách đến trường xinh bất ngờ, như khoảnh khắc mà Yoon Jae rung động trước Shi Won khi cô tháo kính cận. Hay sự âm thầm ngưỡng mộ Yoon Jae của Kang Jun Hee đã lớn dần thành mối tình đầu từ khi nào mà anh cũng không biết. Điều này làm tôi chợt nhớ đến câu hát trong bài “Chuồn chuồn” của Tùng: “Tình yêu diệu kỳ đến thế/Tôi có trao đâu mà tình yêu bắt đầu.”

Tuổi trẻ của mỗi người đều đã từng là Yoon Yoon Jae hoặc có cho mình một Yoon Yoon Jae không thể quên. Yêu thầm cô bạn thân và nhìn thấy cậu bạn thân của mình dường như cũng thích thầm cô ấy, Yoon Jae lúc nào cũng trưng ra bộ mặt “u sầu” trước mặt Shi Won. Cậu bật đèn xanh và ra tín hiệu mọi lúc có thể nhưng vì quá thân thiết nên Shi Won chẳng bao giờ để ý. Dù tỏ ra thờ ơ, luôn cãi vã nhau nhưng Yoon Jae vẫn âm thầm quan tâm cô, thậm chí còn không màng đến bản thân mình. Cậu luôn ghi nhớ mọi thứ về Shi Won từ những điều nhỏ nhặt nhất. Ước mơ từ thuở bé của cô là động lực để Yoon Jae quyết định vào Học viện Không quân. Khi đàn ông bày tỏ với cô gái mình thích tức là anh ta đã chịu mạo hiểm không gặp cô ấy nữa. Và Yoon Jae cuối cùng cũng quyết định đặt cược ván bài tình cảm với cô gái mình thầm yêu…

“Mối tình đầu – tình yêu tươi xanh ai cũng hết lòng ca ngợi. Có lẽ thứ tình cảm ấy tươi đẹp không phải vì nó là mối tình đầu, mà vì nó chứa đựng cả một thời thanh xuân ngây thơ, nhiệt huyết mà không ai có thể quay về được.”

Lặng thầm một mối tình “câm”

Thời niên thiếu, có những mối tình câm, tình thầm mãi mãi chôn chặt trong trái tim. Không biết bắt đầu từ khi nào cũng không biết đã kết thúc từ bao giờ. Có một câu nói như thế này: “Hoa nở là đẹp rồi, tại sao nhất thiết phải biết nó thuộc về ai.” Kang Jun Hee lặng lẽ bên cạnh Yoon Yoon Jae suốt 6 năm, dù biết chuyện tình mình sẽ chẳng bao giờ đơm hoa kết trái nhưng đối với cậu, chỉ cần được nhìn thấy người mình thích đã là sự đáp trả ngọt ngào nhất khi yêu đơn phương. 

“Lý do tớ thích cậu… Lý do tớ thích cậu là gì ư? Bởi vì đó chính là cậu. Chỉ là cậu mà thôi. Còn lý do nào khác nữa sao? Giá mà tớ biết được…làm thế nào mới có thể ngừng thích cậu. Nhưng điều đó tớ không thể tránh được. Tớ chỉ mong duy nhất một điều… Mãi ở bên cậu như một người bạn…không hơn.”

Cùng nằm trong chuỗi phim nổi tiếng của đạo diễn Shin Won Ho, thật khó để không đặt cả 3 bộ phim lên bàn cân so sánh. Tôi chưa xem qua Reply 1994, nên ở đây chỉ nói về Reply 1997 và Reply 1988. Cá nhân tôi cảm thấy cả 2 bộ phim đều chứa những giá trị ý nghĩa riêng dựa trên thời gian và trải nghiệm sống của mỗi người. Ở Reply 1988, bộ phim làm tôi xúc động trước câu chuyện của người khác: tình cảm gia đình, tình làng nghĩa xóm của khu Ssangmun Dong và đặc biệt là nó tái hiện lại những ký ức rất hồn nhiên, trong sáng và vui vẻ bên bạn bè. Còn ở Reply 1997, tôi lại thấy thân thuộc và chạm tới cảm xúc nhiều hơn vì nhìn thấy ở đâu đó có bóng dáng câu chuyện của mình. Chúng ta đã từng là những Sung Shi Won, Kang Jun Hee và Yoon Yoon Jae,… đều có khoảng thời gian tuổi trẻ vô tư và nhiệt thành như vậy. Ta sống hết mình với tình yêu cho hiện tại không cần biết sẽ nhận lại điều gì, có lúc thấy bồi hồi trước những cảm xúc chưa dám gọi tên, có lúc dũng cảm chạy theo tiếng yêu đầu đời, nhưng cũng có lúc loay hoay không biết mình sẽ đi về đâu. Lời hồi đáp 1997 lấy nước mắt người xem còn ở việc khai thác rất tốt về khía cạnh tình cảm gia đình khi con cái bước vào độ tuổi 18 quan trọng của đời người nữa. Nói chung là rất đáng xem đóoo! Phim nào của đạo diễn Shin Won Ho của làm mình tốn nước mắt hết.

Under Seongsu Bridge

... is a Korean music crew. Their name refers to Seongsu bridge in Seongsu-dong, which is the neighborhood they’re from. They have 6 members, are part of FLOCC and have Paloalto (who also lives in the area) as their biggest supporter. They released a collab album in 2021 which is hiphop and r&b (song recs at the bottom of the post).

It is said that they met in middle school where 365lit was bullied by the other members and then they became friends (?) - however, the crew wasn’t founded until 2019.

welcome back to unwanted reviews <3 today we're talking about shooting stars, a series that is not well known but one of the best ones out there.

we've got our fighter oh han byul and rich hot traumatised gong tae sung, college (?) friends but working enemies transition to (obviously) lovers.

i. well-placed transition between friendship to crush to love to hatred to love again from both the sides, tbh. it was difficult to see han byul feel anything during the first few episodes but loved the way lee sung kyung brought her to life. han byul was treated as a proper working woman, who was not some miracle worker or anything, but her journey of learning and growing was explored well.

ii. all bow down before kim young dae. istg, i completely understood the hype about tae sung in the series. also, kdrama actors look better with their hair pushed back and you can't fucking change my mind. this man was the perfect example of petty but i think he redeemed himself well. his bromance with almost every male character in the show was simply *chef's kiss*

iii. side characters special shoutout they were so cute, everyone ended up together like one happy family. it's like watching your kids grow up and all marry each other. (quote: the office us). special mention to tae sung's manager bec damn that actor was a pain. manager was also pretty dumb in the beginning but he made up by helping tae sung flirt with han byul.

iv. han byul and tae sung were SO cute together. the ending scene was so wholesome and gave me sm closure on the entire series, it made me cry. also, the way she never gave a crap about his celebrity status when he kept DOING COOL THINGS AND MA'AM NEVER PAID ATTENTION i felt so bad for tae sung

v. those two side actors getting married was cute and deserves a special point.

8/10, sung kyung never fails to impress (kim bok joo????) and young dae stole my heart. it was so weird seeing lee jung shin in c4k after this but love him all the same. loved kim yoon hye's diverse roles from vincenzo to this she was absolutely amazing.

go watch shooting stars, honestly.

The SPA plays a crucial role in governance, including appointing key positions such as the President of the SPA presidium(formal head of state), Chairman of the National Defense Commission, Head of the Workers Party of Korea and ministers. The SPA also has the authority to remove officials from office, and deputies can be recalled by their constituents if they act against the people's will. Elections in the DPRK are based on selecting individuals to represent their districts in the SPA, with multiple candidates typically running in each district. The process emphasizes community engagement, with candidates actively working to gain the support of their neighbors. 

Kim Jong Un is the head of the Workers Party of Korea, When Kim Jung Un interacts with an important person from another country, it is probably a person who interests the DPRK as an ideological, geopolitical, friendship or military ally. Therefore he can also be seen as head of state. This is because the role of head of state has been divided into multiple structures with unique responsibility to the country and people. Kim Jung-Un too can be voted out if he acts against the people's will according to the constitution but likely never would out of reverence for the leadership of the Kim family guiding them through their difficult history.

The "face" of a country is its head of state. In presidential systems like the US, the head of state is also the head of government, but that is not the case for every country. For example, in the United Kingdom, it is the king or queen who is the head of state while the prime minister is the head of government. In the DPRK, the President of the State Affairs Commission is the head of state, and the Premier is the head of government.

  Deux capitaines de police entrent en lutte afin de résoudre une affaire de tueur en série, espérant ainsi obtenir une promotion. Emportés par leur ambition, ils vont franchir la ligne de la légalité…

    “Biseuteo” (비스트), ou “The Beast” pour la distribution internationale, est un thriller policier sud-coréen datant de 2019, co-écrit et réalisé par Lee Jeong-ho, à qui l’on doit également “Broken” (2013). Les acteurs principaux sont Lee Sung-min, sur l’on a pu voir dans “The Spy Gone North” (2018), Yoo Jae-myung, qu’on a pu voir dans “Golden Slumber” (2017), Jeon Hye-jin, qu’on a pu voir dans “Resurrected Victims” (2015), Choi Daniel, qu’on a pu voir dans “Chronicles of Evil” (2015), Kim Ho-jung, qu’on a pu voir dans “Fabricated City” (2017), et Kim Byung-choon, qu’on a pu voir dans “No Doubt” (2010). Ce film est paru le 26 juin 2019 en Corée.

L’histoire proposée par “The Beast” nous invite à suivre Jeong Han-soo (Lee Sung-min), capitaine de police, enquêteur chevronné, qui se retrouve, avec son équipe, sur les traces d’un tueur en série. Non seulement, il doit composer avec l’équipe d’enquêteurs adverses, dirigée par le capitaine Han Min-tae (Yoo Jae-myung) mais également avec une de ses indics qui l’implique dans un meurtre. Remontant progressivement la piste du psychopathe qui se cache derrière les homicides, la situation devient de plus en plus tendue pour Han-soo car Min-tae veut impérativement être celui qui résoudra l’affaire afin d’obtenir la promotion qui a été mise officieusement dans la balance. Les deux capitaines se livrent donc une bataille où tous les coups sont désormais permis, n’hésitant pas à franchir la ligne rouge…

Bien qu’il y ait un nombre substantiel de personnages secondaires, le focus est positionné sur deux figures du récit. C’est essentiellement l’opposition entre les deux chefs d’unité qui centralise l’intérêt. Le capitaine Jeong Han-soo se retrouve piégé par son indic qui vient tout juste de sortir de prison. Cette dernière tue l’individu qui est responsable de son incarcération avec l’arme du policier. Celui-ci n’a d’autre choix que de couvrir ce crime et s’enfonce de plus en plus au fur et à mesure qu’il tente d’effacer son implication. Le capitaine Han Min-tae est sur le coup et tente de tirer la couverture à lui. Il devine que son collègue est impliqué et espère pouvoir le faire tomber. Leur rivalité exacerbée a une incidence sur l’enquête, et le principal suspect parvient à se faufiler à travers les mailles du filet, et continue à tuer, ce qui aura des conséquences personnelles pour Han-soo.

Le scénario concocté par Jeong Ee-mok et Lee Jeong-ho, qui endosse ici la double casquette de réalisateur et de scénariste, est directement inspiré par le film “36, Quai des Orfèvres” d’Olivier Marchal, avec Daniel Auteuil et Gérard Depardieu dans les rôles principaux. Comme je le soulignais précédemment, l’histoire s’articule principalement sur la confrontation entre les deux capitaines de police, laissant de côté l’affaire du tueur en série, qui prendra néanmoins toute son importance dans la dernière partie du métrage. Afin de donner du relief au récit, celui-ci a été alourdi avec la présence menaçante d’un cartel chinois de la drogue qui d’une part cherche à récupérer sa marchandise saisie par les forces de police, et d’autre part, veut obtenir vengeance de l’assassinat d’un des leurs, tué par l’indic de Han-soo. Et pour en rajouter une couche, une autre sous-intrigue mettant en scène Madame Oh (Kim Ho-jung), proche des deux policiers, qui cherche à tirer profit de ses connexions avec les différentes parties.

Tout ceci étant dit, “The Beast” c’est une ambiance particulière, un climat sombre, une atmosphère morne avec des personnages taciturnes. Cette ambiance est renforcée par la photographie, avec les séquences les plus marquantes, les plus importantes, tournées de nuit. La bande originale, une nouvelle fois composée par Mowg, vient renforcer les tensions, la pression sur les personnages, mais également les dissensions qui les animent. Enfin, l’édition orchestrée par Sin Min-kyeong permet d’avoir un métrage d’une durée de 130 minutes où le spectateur est pleinement maintenu captivé.

En conclusion, “The Beast” est un très bon thriller policier disposant d’une histoire à plusieurs niveaux, d’une intrigue captivante et d’un développement complexe. Le rythme est cohérent avec l’histoire, le récit offre une certaine complexité par endroits et la narration est linéaire. La photographie accentue l’ambiance taciturne du récit offrant de nombreuses scènes de nuit, la bande originale vient agréablement accompagner le climat global et l’édition est bien équilibrée pour maintenir le spectateur en tension. La distribution offre de très bonnes prestations dominées par les performances de Lee Sung-min et Yoo Jae-myung. L’ensemble s’éloigne suffisamment du film originel pour être attractif et prenant. DREAM HIGH 2

Dream High 2 was released a year after its first installment, Dream High. The first part of this drama had a stellar cast, received high ratings, and won a fair amount of awards.

Many would expect that Dream High 2 would present similar results, as this drama was jointly produced by KEYEAST, and JYP Entertainment. Interestingly, SM Entertainment was onboard as a one of the producers, but the company dropped out of the project a few weeks before the drama was to begin filming.

A lot has changed since Dream High, the beloved performing arts school has fallen bankrupt, and so things are not the same. Firstly, a new law has been introduced which prevents under-aged entertainers from working past 10 p.m., and they need to spend a certain number of hours in school as well.

This new law does indeed pose a threat to the entertainment industry, as it means companies will incur a loss of revenue if their idols aren’t working. But one CEO has decided to find the loopholes in this law, and so Kirin High has been taken over by OZ Entertainment.

This takeover is not what the school’s administration was expecting, but they have no other choice since the school is going under. On the other hand, the student’s don’t take this takeover too well at all.

OZ Entertainment has enrolled members of its groups, HershE and Eden at Kirin High as well. Not only do the students have to compete among themselves, but now they have professional idols joining in the mix.

From the opening episodes we’re introduced to Shin Hae Sung, she’s a student at Kirin High, but we learn that her acceptance to Kirin was due to her high scores on the written exams. When it comes to the performance aspect, Shin Hae Sung needs a lot of work, a fact that she knows all too well.

It’s also important to note that she’s a huge fan of Eden, and it’s her love for them that causes her to somewhat aid the group in breaking this new entertainment law.

We also meet Jin Yoo Jin (left) from the first few episodes, he’s a talented singer-songwriter, and one of the many students who don’t really want the idols from OZ Entertainment around. We later learn that Jin Yoo Jin and Eden’s member JB (right) have a bit of history.

The thing is, it doesn’t seem like Jin Yoo Jin really remembers what he said to JB when they first met. JB’s old memories, along with the fact that Jin Yoo Jin’s not a fan of idols, are the two things that fuel the rivalry between them.

Like I said, the students at Kirin High don’t want to fall lower on the ladder now that idols are their new classmates. If you’ve watched Dream High you’ll know that the students at Kirin High have the chance to attend their own showcases, and so they’re evaluated regularly.

As the plot progresses, we get to see how the students at Kirin High pull up their socks as they begin to take the competition seriously. Of course, this competitive spirit is all over the school, and so the idols find themselves competing with their fellow classmates as well.

What’s a high school drama without a little teen romance? The plot flows in such a way that leaves us to wonder if JB, and HershE member Rian are a thing. I honestly didn’t see/feel any chemistry between the two, and it becomes obvious that their relationship wasn’t serious as JB began to pay attention to other things, and people.

JB of course begins to spend more time with Shin Hae Sung, one would have to be blind in order to not see the hard work she puts in. Day in and day out, Shin Hae Sung tries to reach beyond her limits by practicing as hard as she can.

JB grows to admire her work ethic, and the two grow even closer to each other. I don’t know how I felt about this relationship, as I wasn’t really convinced that the two were really into each other.

As per the plot, both JB and Shin Hae Sung are, what I would say, in like, with each other. And that’s okay, they’re high school teens, there’s no need for the heavy romance. 

But at the same time, I didn’t find them cute, or wholesome. One thing I must say, is that there is mutual respect and support between the two, and that’s important to any relationship. 

At this point, the plot has become stagnant, we get a few scenes here and there which showcases the ups-and-downs of the lives of Dream High 2′s supporting characters. The competitiveness of Kirin High is brought to the forefront once more, but at this point in the drama, I’ve lost interest.

However, I kept on watching as I wanted to see how things would end for the students at Kirin High. I admit that my mind kept wandering to Dream High as I thought about how the plot of that drama tied everything together.

Dream High 2 on the other hand, presented a few loopholes when it comes to the original cast of Dream High. We get to see a few cameos of the OG cast, but those appearances didn’t tie in well with the viewers’ expectations of what happened to the original character’s lives.

But I really have to say, that Dream High 2 also had a message that it wanted to convey to the viewers. I don’t dislike this drama at all, I just think that the plot didn’t flow smoothly.

Kang So Ra plays the character of Shin Hae Sung, a student who tries her best to excel in whatever she does. Kang So Ra has been active for many years, and so you can find her in the dramas, My Lawyer, Mr. Joe, and Revolutionary Love.

GOT7′s JB plays the character of JB, an idol who tries his best at whatever he does. Dream High 2 is JB’s first on-screen project, but you can also find him in the drama When a Man Loves.

2AM’s Jinwoon plays the character of Jin Yoo Jin, a talented musician who’s trying to get through his parents’ divorce. You can find Jinwoon in the dramas, Madame Antoine: The Love Therapist, and Let Me Introduce Her.

GOT7′s Jin Young plays the character of Jung Ui Bong, one of Kirin High’s talented students. You can find Jin Young in the dramas, He is Psychometric, and When My Love Blooms. 

The members of HershE were played by Ailee (left), Hyorin (center), and T-ara’s Park Ji Yeon (right). Both Ailee and Hyorin have only acted in Dream High 2, but you can find Park Ji Yeon in Triangle, and I Wanna Hear Your Song.

Dream High 2 was directed by Lee Eung Bok and Mo Wan-II. Lee also directed Descendants of the Sun, and Guardian: The Lonely and Great God. Mo also directed Misty, and The World of the Married.

Dream High 2 was also written by Heo Sung Hye and Jang Eun Mi. Heo also wrote Beyond the Clouds, and Tomorrow With You. Jang has only worked on Dream High 2 so far.
