"You are beautiful," James mumbles out, through his mouth full of blood. Leaning over him, is Sirius. He has a concerned look on his face, with that very stern crease between his thick eyebrows. Has his eyes always been this stunning? Like silver, mixed with iron. Iron like the taste in James' mouth. Liquid pools of riches. A treasure. And James may well be a dragon, because he never wanted to hoard something so bad. "He has a concussion!" Sirius yells out, to who knows whom. His hair looks disheveled, strands flutter over his face. Are there spells that make sure that the wind actively makes sure you look your very best? James' jaw hurts. Is that where the blood came from? But there are more pressing questions right now: "Will you marry me?" Sirius scoffs, and James is very sure he is rolling his eyes, though James isn't able to confirm that. "Jamie, open your eyes and stay with me. Pomfrey will be here in a minute." "Only if you'll marry me!" James sounds petulant, and very whiney. To underline his point, he presses his eyes closed even further. Cold fingers press against his jaw. Maybe some cloth? "This bludger hit you hard, biche," Sirius says quietly, still not answering the only question that really matters. "Sirius, will you fucking marry me?" James says, and instantly chokes on the blood in his mouth. Is this what it would be like to drown in Sirius' eyes? "Merlin and Morgana, yes, James. I will marry you. Now open your bloody eyes-" But James is already, and very happily, drifting out of consciousness.

Probably every July 1st, I would always worried that it's already the exact halfway of the year. It's so fast and unsettling. A six months had already gone and another six months would surely go 'til an entire year fall. The distance of July to January is just exactly the same with January to July. scary six months. curious half of a year.
