The Vampire Diaries "hear me out": the series stops at 4x23 31:30 for me. That would have been much better and realistic finale compared to s8.

P. S. Season 4 was the last season that had "the VAMPIRE diaries" feeling to it.

I don't know WHO I have to say f*ck you to fumbling the friendship of Damon & Klaus. Stefan? Julie Plec?? Kevin Williamson?? Caroline?(Forbes and Dries)

Because they were the duo that never was sigh. The potential was so high UGHH. This scene alone proved they should have friends not to mention their banter in S3 but everyone was so sensitive about Damon being a lil bad here and there...

There are too many people who, upon encountering a woman character with too many specific traits and flaws established, lose the ability to identify with them and turn to secondary, less active, less developed characters that they can more easily project into.

As in, they'll reframe the whole story in their head and insist the true protagonist is a secondary or tertiary character. That the original protagonist is a 'Mary Sue' not worth regard. And it's weird because so often women characters are also criticized and labelled as Mary Sue's for the opposite reason as well.

I do not mean said secondary/tertiary character is bad or uninteresting. I simply mean it's inaccurate to frame them as the protagonist, and I do often see said characters proclaimed to have traits they don't possess (often traits taken from the protagonist).

It's a phenomenon not restricted to women, but I have noticed it's more common with women. For some reason they rarely do this to the men of the story. And I feel like there's some internalized misogyny in there.

I see it on both the audience end and occasionally even the writer's end. *cough* The Vampire Diaries *cough*. For now, I'll call it the Trapped in a Island with Josh Hutcherson phenomenon where Jenny Nicholson points out that the author wrote a self-insert, got jealous of the self-insert when she took on too much of a life of her own, and proceeded to write a new self-insert to push the old one aside.

Some examples:

Rhaenyra → Alicent, Helaena, and occasionally Baela & Rhaena (might also be some ageism in there too)

Arya & Dany → Sansa, the Dead Ladies Club, Brienne on occasion

Elena Gilbert (TVD) → Caroline Forbes

Those are the most blatant examples, but I swear this phenomenon is EVERYWHERE.

Anyways, I'm looking for more specific examples so I can better look into it. If you can think of another one, do me a favour and drop it below!

Doing an academic breakdown (likely for a future publication) about all the implicit racism in The Vampire Diaries and The Originals... Miss Julie Plec, it ain't looking good for you right now. I'm 1,500 words in (with citations and textual evidence) and not even halfway done.

No other characters got these types of comments over and over by the show runner not to mention the childish degusting passive aggressive behavior from julie and co anytime they had cons that had bonnie questions I can go through all the bonnie/black character tweets from this woman and compare them to how she and co talk about all the white characters and then we can see if they was all treated equally because I can tell you now it won't be the case

TVD AND KLAROLINE FANS I HAVE A FANFIC IDEA (if this fanfic does exist, I apologize ahead of time, but please do send me the link if it does exist)

Alright, so imagine if Klaus and Caroline were already in a relationship together, and Klaus had to deal with things in New Orleans (as always) and the Mikaelsons desperately want to meet Klaus's new girl that's got him completely whipped (you seriously can't tell me otherwise that the man isn't whipped)

Klaus obviously protested against it considering the dangers they were facing, but then things started getting bad, so the smartest sibling, Elijah, summoned Caroline, and she joined in on the Mikaelson New Orleans family chaos while keeping klaus from murdering his family which BTW scored a LOT of points from the other Mikaelsons.

I strongly believe Rebekah would be jealous that she is no longer Klaus's favorite but is grateful that Caroline can keep his distracted. Marcel immediately likes her and sees her as a mother figure, like he sees Klaus as a father figure and would definitely make mom and dad jokes. Elijah already loves her and has great respect for her for putting up with his brother. Kol and Davina are more impressed than someone led this long with Klaus without getting killed. Same thing with Hayley.

Of course, Hayley would not be the only bride in New Orleans, but the Mikaelsons are definitely throwing a great wedding for Caroline and Klaus. Plus, I think Hayley and Jackson would both respect Caroline more than Klaus and always go to her when it comes to supernatural politics.

Freya would definitely like her but at the same time be a little jealous since all of the family are in love with her

(Like I said, if this fanfic does exist, PLEASE SEND ME THE LINK OR POINT ME IN THE DIRECTION OF THE FANFIC! I NEED IT!!!

I would like some of the big names to finally speak out about Dan… like Miranda Cosgrove, Victoria Justice, Ariana Grande, Really the whole victorious cast. I understand everyone has their own time to speak out I too am a survivor of child sexual molestation, but its so important to speak out. Its so important to protect people. All these abusers need to be shown publicly as abusers. Looking at Disney and Julie Plec and Marc Schwann and so many others who have also caused trauma.
