Along with them, we are saying goodbye to Estelle Chalopin and Hana June, Petr's wife and aughter, to Alexandra, Aylie, Sasha and Dominic Hanga, Adam's wife and children, to Kirstyn Thomas and Naz Alexander, Nigel's wife and son and to Marisela Fernández, Kayla and Julian, Anthony's wife and children. I wish them all the best for the future.

Only Murders in the Building (Seasons 1 & 2, 2021/2022, USA)

Mini-review:

I finally got around to watching this show in the past week, and I must say it definitely deserves all the hype! I wasn't sure if I was going to like it during the first episodes, but I got more and more hooked as I kept watching. In fact, I enjoyed the second season way more than the first one and now I'm certain I will tune in when the next one starts. One of the best things about the show is that it perfectly knows how to do both smart and silly comedy, and its sense of humor never stops surprising you. Another thing I particularly loved is the way each episode sort of focus on one character, which really expands the scope of the story and the setting. On top of all this, both mysteries were really interesting, although the second one kept me guessing a lot longer. As always, I'm a huge fan of murder mysteries, specially when they are as well made, told and acted as this one.

After Miracle Queen, being denounced by her classmates and parents, Chloe runs away. Somehow she gets isekai’d to Barbie Princess and the Pauper. It’s also a crossover with Barbie 12 dancing princesses.

From there, Chloe uses her skills and becomes a fencer and jouster. She becomes somewhat well known for it. Then at some point she gets to meet the characters from the two aforementioned Barbie movies. Don’t where it goes from there, but it’s mostly a slice of life au. She might get adopted. Preminger most likely won’t have any huge role, maybe a cameo. Same with Rowena.

I doing this for fun, since I love those two Barbie movies and Chloe Bourgeois. Plus drawing Chloe in armour is fun. Also I get to have Queen Genevieve and King Randolph interact. And I get to make jokes about Julian and Derek being great detectives.

Also for future, if I say I’m going to make a piece of art after another artwork. Don’t believe me, my focus switches so quickly so I won’t. I’ll try not to do that for future.

If there’s one category that’s been locked up since award season began, it’s Best Supporting Actress. Da’Vine Joy Randolph has swept the major awards, including some of the critics’ prizes that tend to go against the mainstream.

There’s no real second choice here. Emily Blunt may have an outside chance if Oppenheimer overperforms in voting across categories. America Ferrera’s nomination is cause for celebration, but there’s not enough in it to really challenge for the prize.

Danielle Brooks secures the only nomination for The Color Purple. It’s a deserving performance, but the film hasn’t made enough in-roads with voters this award season. Jodie Foster is great in Nyad, though I wonder if her legendary status in the industry is why she earned this spot over other like Julianne Moore in May December, Rosamund Pike in Saltburn, or Penelope Cruz in Ferrari.

Hackback2: guacamaya ciborg

  La palabra leak podría traducirse como fuga. Es utilizada para hacer referencia a la filtración de información confidencial de corte gubernamental o corporativo. En los últimos años, aunado a los bots, México ha comenzado a experimentar y tener en la conversación pública términos como: hackeo, ciber-espionaje y ciber-ataque. El caso de Pegasus es un ejemplo de la infraestructura gubernamental de comunicaciones, espionaje y complejidad cibernética de nuestro presente.    Hackback2: guacamaya ciborg se trata de 10 dibujos que sintetizan dos intereses abordados anteriormente en mi trabajo artístico: las presentaciones de power point y la ciberseguridad.  

En el año 2018 realicé la pieza “POST-PNL” https://vimeo.com/184650328 un video silente en el que se realiza la deconstrucción semiótica de una presentación power point para un curso de Programación Neuro Lingüística al cual atendí como participante de una capacitación docente. Me interesaba romper el sentido original de la presentación para poner en crisis las imágenes y conceptos empleados, una especie de programación neurolingüística inversa. Por el lado de la ciberseguridad, en el año 2014 realicé wwu https://diego-ortega.tumblr.com/post/661090918595706880 un proyecto de impresiones 3D a partir de las fotografías cotidianas publicadas en facebook de una persona con la que nunca he tenido contacto. EVRY BRTH U TK (2016) https://vimeo.com/163945682 es una pieza en la que se yuxtapone la letra de la canción Every breath you take de The Police con logotipos de empresas dominantes en internet alternados con algunas empresas mexicanas de telecomunicaciones. Por último, CCTVMX es un gif https://diego-ortega.tumblr.com/post/661093582552350720 compuesto por fotografías de cámaras de seguridad, visibilizando las implicaciones de la imagen, con fines de vigilancia, en el espacio público.  El reciente acuerdo de liberación del caso de Julian Assange es un recordatorio de la turbulencia política generada cuando el internet sirve como canal de filtración de documentos estatales.    Esta pieza retoma páginas de distintos documentos filtrados resultados del hackeo a la SEDENA (2022) atribuido a Guacamaya Leaks para llevarlas al dibujo.  Entre pdfs, presentaciones power point, documentos XML y listas de excel, también dentro de los contenidos que se pueden descargar de manera pública desde el sitio web: https://enlacehacktivista.org/sedena/ viene un video titulado hackback2 que muestra 3 ilustraciones, 2 de ellas relacionadas a la selva, las vidas animales y a la militarización de Latinoamérica. La tercera imagen es una pintura de la artista americana Lynn Randolph, en esta se ilustra a una mujer tecleando una computadora con un felino blanco sobre la cabeza, operando una especie de computadora universal. Esta imagen es también la que ilustra portada del libro Mujeres, simios y cíborgs. La reinvención de la naturaleza de Donna Haraway creando un vínculo que puede ser interpretado de muchas maneras entre el trabajo de la bióloga y el hackeo realizado por este colectivo hackfeminista. Sobre las imágenes que aparecen en este video se muestran fragmentos de código probablemente usados para el hackeo. La banda sonora del video son algunas canciones de protesta por la defensa de la vida, los niños y la selva, la Tierra y en contra del capital voraz. 

En el extracto reproducido mediante 10 dibujos, de esta pieza, se puede leer información relacionada al seguimiento a activistas sociales y ambientales en conflicto por la construcción del Tren Maya, seguimiento de colectivas feministas y grupos indígenas, monitoreo de percepción en redes sociales de políticos y documentos que demuestran que el ejército tenía en observación a la Escuela Normal Rural Raúl Isidro Burgos, antes de la desaparición de los estudiantes de Ayotzinapa. En estos documentos se vuelve evidente el conflicto ideológico político con comunidades atravesadas por la construcción del tren Maya, lo cual puso al EZLN en la mira de la Secretaría de Defensa Nacional de manera reciente. 

Parte de mi trabajo artístico ha virado en torno a la idea de lo público en internet, el monitoreo de redes sociales. Con esta pieza me interesa acercar al público a los contenidos de estos documentos, así como abonar a la conversación pública frente a este tipo de escenarios que todo indica, seguirán ocurriendo de distintas formas y en distintas magnitudes.  

Los feminicidios, los 43 de Ayotzinapa y el tren maya, son aquellos temas en los que México no ha encontrado paz.  México tiene precedentes ciber-activistas con dotes artísticos. En 1998 el colectivo hacktivista: Electronic Disturbance Theatre, de la mano del ejercito Zapatista, realizaron la primer ciber-protesta de la que se tiene registro, realizando un ataque con un software. Floodnet interrumpió el tráfico de un servidor en específico y escribió mensajes en su registro de errores, logrando llamar la atención sobre Chiapas, México. 

Estos 10 dibujos pueden pensarse como una fotografía del México reciente. Que mejor foto que aquella que se toma desde el núcleo operativo de la SEDENA, evidenciando las preocupaciones del Estado Mexicano. Para la exhibición de este proyecto presentarían fotocopias a color digitales impresas en papel opalina de 180 gr pendiendo de una cadena sujeta a una armella en el techo o columna, a la altura del pecho de una persona de 1.70, pensado que incluso niñxs puedan acceder a su contenido. La medida de la cadena dependerá de las dimensiones del lugar de exhibición.
