He was furious with the man who’d taken advantage of her innocence, but he did not feel jealous. He did not need to be her first, he realized. He simply needed to be her last.
Her only.

4&20 for the book asks
[through tears] haha that's the weed number
4. Did you discover any new authors that you love this year?
hmm. i didn't necessarily discover any authors whose entire oeuvre i felt the need to read immediately which is how i would define "author i love". i've been enjoying mimi matthews' belles of london series (the third book is the weakest least of all bc anne is a lesbian and the plot is ass. will read the fourth & final book before the year is out). i think darcy liao had a great debut with make room for love (BUTCH LOVE INTEREST. UNION ORGANIZATION SUBPLOT. RUN DON'T WALK). i need to hold a seance so i can make karleen winsor do the autism test after her research process for forever amber drove me to madness (complimentary). overall i discovered a lot of authors whose work i found very interesting and for whom i will be on the lookout for in the future
20. What was your most anticipated release? Did it meet your expectations?
my most anticipated release was the ministry of time by kaliene bradley which i learned about like. a month before its release and was mildly wary of bc i've found that a lot of franklin expedition-adjacent fiction is Bad. and then it ended up being one of my fave books of the year!!!!!!! i rarely buy new releases bc in this economy a single hardcover costs anywhere from 35-40 canadian dollars (tmot was $34 before tax) and they are heavy but i have no regrets here :)
end of year book asks
#the big discovery in the second half of the year was that i am capable of enjoying romance novels. heterosexual ones even#the caveat is that they have to be at least 40 years old; obsessively researched; over 500 pages; and incredibly campy#see: katherine by anya seton / forever amber obvs/ through a glass darkly by karleen koen#i haven't talked about through a glass darkly bc i read it then plunged into a depressive episode but it's FAB#hysterically funny at points emotionally moving intricate discussion of 18th century england's precarious economy#incredibly lucid depiction of a bi man in his 40s written in 1986!!!#what if it was 1715 and you were strong-armed into marrying the TEENAGE DAUGHTER of the MAN YOU LOVED for ECONOMIC REASONS#and then you fell in love with your child bride only for your CUNTY FRENCH EX-BOYFRIEND to show up and RUIN THINGS#it's so messy. already dysfunctional relationships and then off-brand lestat is there. perfect. no notes. have the sequel on my kindle#the only way i can really engage w romance novels historical or otherwise is if they're About something beyond the romance#back 2 mimi matthews for a second:#evelyn's book spends sooo much time talking about the intersections of class and race and colonialism in victorian london thank god#julia's is about mental health and the crimean war and childhood abuse (& is inspired by the blue castle which is why it's the best)#stella's is about victorian notions of (dis)ability and hopefully some other stuff. i have not read it yet#and then anne's book is like. what if you had to go to a christmas party with your ex-boyfriend. SAY SOMETHING ELSE#sorry for the tag essay#anonymous#answered#lit

₊˚⊹♡ a sunday kind of love 🌻
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
₊⊹ ʚ ₊⊹。 ⋆ ˚ ⋆ 。˚ ₊⊹。 ₊⊹ ୨♡୧ ⊹₊ 。⊹₊ ⋆ ˚。 ⋆ ˚ ⋆ 。⊹₊ ɞ ⊹₊
pairing: beau arlen x fem!reader
summary: beau always knew a way to make your heart flutter. even if it meant going into a field and handpicking flowers for you.
cw: tooth-rotting fluff, beau being an absolute sweetheart, established relationship (married).
word count: 1070
julia yaps: manifesting this kind of love tbh.
inspo: a sunday kind of love by etta james
────────── ୨ৎ ──────────
the sunshine rays snuck their way through your bedroom curtains, the golden light falling softly upon your tranquil features and bouncing off your messy but adorable bed hair.
as you naturally wake up from your peaceful slumber, you notice the other side of the bed being empty.
the only thing lying on beau’s pillow was a little handwritten note. you roll over to reach it and read,
‘good morning beautiful’ with a little squiggly heart drawn by him. it makes your heart smile. you always loved beau’s random acts of sweetness.
the mornings were stunning in montana during spring, you weren’t much of a morning person but it sure was worth the view, especially whilst living a bit out in the countryside.
it was 7am on a sunday, so you didn’t even bother to dress out of your pjs yet.
you walked downstairs, noticing the living room is empty you stroll your way down towards the kitchen, as you get closer to the kitchen you begin to hear a faint humming sound, a melody of some sorts.
you pop your head in and notice beau sitting at the wooden kitchen table, holding a cup of coffee in one hand and a small newspaper in the other.
the radio playing quietly in the background and he hums along to the song. you can’t help the smile that grows on your face, you step into the kitchen, catching his attention.
“good morning” a sleepy smile on your face and your voice still a bit raspy from sleep, you rub your eyes and walk over to him, giving him a little kiss on the cheek, earning a warm smile from him.
“someone’s up nice and early for a sunday morning” you giggle, walking over to the coffee drip machine and pouring yourself a cup.
he puts the newspaper down and takes a sip of his coffee. his eyes respectfully roaming over your figure, he had a weakness for your natural look, no makeup, bed hair, comfy clothing. there was just something about you being relaxed and snug that he adored.
“i had a couple things to do” he answers in his deeply soothing voice. you turn to face him as you take a sip of the still warm coffee.
“like what?” you ask innocently as you lean your back against the kitchen island, purely out of curiosity as to what he could’ve possibly be doing on a sunday morning before most places and stores even open up.
he just smiles and stands up from his chair, he reaches behind his seat as if he was hiding something all this time, you frown a bit in confusion but don’t question him, not yet at least.
beau turns back round facing you with a smile as he holds a bouquet made up of wild flowers such as daisies, buttercups, lavender, wax flowers, queen anne’s lace and forget-me-not’s.
the whites, blues and purples mixed in with the yellows and greens all perfectly matching together with the beige rope ribbon holding it all together.
your soft gaze wandering from the flowers up to meet his loving expression.
“you went to a florist? are they even open at this hour?!” Your smile grows.
“well, actually.. i handpicked those myself” he admits with a little proud grin, the corner of his eyes wrinkling slightly.
your eyes light up at his confession,
“you did not..” you chuckle in disbelief.
“oh I did, i even got evidence to prove so” beau spoke, showing the palm of his hand having slight green stains from hand picking the flowers.
“aww beau..” you said in a slightly whiny tone and soft puppy eyes. “but what’s the occasion?”
“it’s called ‘because why not’ darlin” he answered, his gorgeous green eyes admiring the way the sun hits your soft features.
you can’t help but smile shyly, he is so sweet it might give you a toothache.
“thank you babe, you’re honestly the sweetest” you tiptoe to give him a peck on the lips.
he feels satisfaction growing deep inside his chest, being the reason you smile or laugh always made his heart fill with pride.
you take the bouquet from him with a grin, lifting the flowers up to your nose and smelling them.
you walk over to the kitchen cabinet and take out a small white vase to fit the flowers.
you pour some water into the vase, putting the flowers gently in and careful setting the vase down on the counter where you’ll be able to notice the bouquet every time you walk into the kitchen.
“i was thinking..” beau starts off making you turn to face him from curiosity.
“how bout we check out that new diner? you know for breakfast, i’ve heard they have amazing reviews, their belgium waffles are apparently to die for” he suggests with an excited smile. beau has always been a foodie. one hand in his jeans pocket and the other rubbing the back of his neck as he waits for your reply.
“are you asking me out on a date, sheriff?” you joke with a small smirk. he lets out a little chuckle at your casual flirting despite the two of you being already in a relationship.
“yeah sweetheart, i am” he answered a little shy.
“is that-“ you walk up to him, acting like you are trying to get a closer look at his face.
“is that a blush i see?” you tease him, then let out a giggle. booping his nose. beau can’t help the smile that grows across his face.
“okay, guess i’ll be eating waffles alone then” he shrugs as he teases you back. starting to slowly walk towards the kitchen door.
“no~ i was just joking beau” you pout as you grab him by his sleeve to stop him. “you know i love you right?” you bat your lashes at him and pout cutely.
“i know sweetheart, i love you too” his hand holding the back of your neck as he presses a soft kiss on the top of your head.
“now go get ready for me” his tone warm but authoritative. he knew it always gave you the butterflies. his hand lingering at your waist before sliding to the small of your back.
“o-okay” you get slightly caught off guard. you can feel yourself getting warmer. you hop upstairs to pick an outfit.
“10 minutes and I wanna see you downstairs”

Note
All the 2023 contestants were born in 2007 and grew up with the show being off the air, so they were all 100% in the trenches of ship drama in the td fandom defending their ships. Here's my 100% correct do not @ me headcanons for each characters favourite ship.
Priya: Zoke, she was put on some block lists because she said she shipped all of Mike's alters with Zoey and no one else. Her parent's grounded her and made her watch Vito x Anne Marie edits as a punishment.
Bowie: If Gwourtney has a million fans, he's one of them. If Gwourtney has five fans, he's one of them. If Gwourtney has one fan, he's that fan. If the world is against Gwourtney he is against the world.
Millie: Thinks it's incredibly problematic and childish to ship real people. But Bawn.
Julia: Got her first taste of internet fame by claiming Blainely and Chris were in a secret relationship. When this comes out this will cancel her worse than the dinosaur thing and she will be forced to go into hiding for her own protection.
Emma: Wrote poly drama brother buys you from your parents fics. Chase read these out on a live stream and they stayed together.
Chase: Not a shipper but was defending Duncan with his last breath over the love triangle stuff.
Zee: Zee hasn't actually seen the show he thought he was auditioning for 6teen, in which he ships Judesy.
Ripper: I don't know whats telling me this but Leonard and Beardo. I think he saw a photoshopped image of them together with red arrows and he's currently convinced they're in a relationship.
Wayne & Raj: Lyler is unironically relationship goals for them, they celebrate their anniversary every year
MK: Commented under Noco posts "Uhm, what about Nemma?" and then watched the world light on fire. Ships Nowen.
Scary Girl: She unironically thinks Sierra is really normal but doesn't ship her with Cody because she just doesn't like him, thinks he fumbled her. Ships Heatherra, Bowie sent her death threats over this and she sent them back
Nichelle: Runs in the same circles as Chris, saw Chris and Chef together all the time despite Total Drama not being on, just assumed they were partners.
Axel: Shasmine anti, thinks Jasmine is gaslighting Shawn about the zombie stuff, wrote a long angry reddit post about it and got banned from the total drama subreddit.
Caleb: Gwent, also got death threats from Bowie and tried to @ Gwen and Trent to come to his defense.
I take no criticism. 🪅Jester ass looking piñata

since i don’t have time to write fics for wlw week here are some wlw headcanons! @total-drama-wlw
(if i didn’t list a woman on here it’s not bc i necessarily headcanon her as straight and more that i don’t have a specific sexuality headcanon for her in general that fits this post)
beth - bisexual and i don’t think she realizes she also likes girls until in between tda and tdwt. something about her and lindsay’s trip to paris makes her realize she likes girls and she comes out to lindsay while they’re literally in jail and lindsay is the most supportive bestie ever. beth is also sometimes a lesbian to me. as a treat.
bridgette - if she had to label her sexuality she’d probably say bisexual but i think she prefers to not use a label and just vibe.
courtney - lesbian forever and ever in my heart 💜 don’t even get me started on her (affectionate)
gwen - bisexual who’s known she’s bisexual for a while and is very chill about it until she gets her first full blown crush on a girl and then she starts freaking out (not about being bisexual, she just doesn’t know how to handle a girl crush when she can barely handle a guy crush)
heather - lesbian but doesn’t realize it at first, just thinks she’s not into guys because she’s smarter and more strategic than all these other girls who are letting feelings get in the way of a million dollars
katie & sadie - started off very boy crazy but i think over time they were more into the idea of a relationship and a partner to obsess over than the boys themselves. but they’re not ready to come out to the other person because it will make them different so they both keep up the boy crazy act until finally they’re like… wait a minute we’re both lesbians and then they probably start dating each other or something. they give me the vibe of girls who were super into dan and phil and then realized they were more into the idea of having that kind of relationship with someone of the same gender than into guys. if that makes any sense.
sierra - not sure of her exact label but she’s a girl liker in at least one alternate universe
leshawna - probably a lesbian who isn’t quite ready to come out yet, still figuring herself out and experiencing occasional attraction to men which confuses her
eva - she’s a butch lesbian to me 💜
anne maria - bisexual and chill as hell about it
jo - butch lesbian who struggles to date because she has issues with femininity but she also views other butch women as competition. girlie has a lot she needs to work out
ella - either bisexual or comphet lesbian
jasmine - bisexual and i think also poly, she’d be down to date shawn and sammy at the same time
sammy - lesbian and in the closet because she doesn’t want amy to know and bully her (amy is also a lesbian but she’ll still bully sammy)
sky - also either bisexual or lesbian comphet
axel - ive seen her as a lesbian from day one (no im not projecting because she’s the td character who looks the most like me) but bisexual axel also intrigues me. truly depends on the situation
tdi emma - bisexual but everyone thinks she’s straight. after season two when they’ve become friends again, bowie finds out she’s bisexual and needs a day to recover from the shock
julia - bisexual but heavily prefers women, refuses to show emotional weakness and therefore doesn’t date anyone for a while
millie - lesbian who always gets crushes on straight girls so she never pursues them, very pessimistic about any crushes she does get
mk - lesbian but doesn’t want to date because love is lame
nichelle - lesbian who keeps her relationships private from the media not because she’s closeted but because she doesn’t want her love life plastered in tabloids
priya - my brain says bisexual but my heart says lesbian. my headcanons contain multitudes
rr emma - she’s either a lesbian or bisexual who is so much more attracted to men that she hesitates to label herself as bi. there’s literally no in between
jen - lesbian, she and tom are wlw/mlm solidarity, they are each others’ biggest hypemen when getting ready for dates
kitty - she’s either pan or aro and still figuring that out for herself. knows she is attracted to everyone equally but doesn’t know if the level of attraction is yes or no
the geniuses - that’s just a lesbian couple
the vegans - that’s a lesbian ex-couple who stayed friends but uh. that was maybe not the wisest choice
sanders - lesbian who is either dating macarthur or knows she deserves better. idk what macarthur’s deal is in the second scenario but she would be so protective of sanders if she got a girlfriend. immediately started imagining a fic where sanders and jo start dating and it creates this big rivalry between jo and macarthur that sanders has to deal with but that rivalry turns into a friendship which relieves sanders until she realizes that they two enable each other and now she’s like “idk if this is worse”

THE PRINCESS DIARIES - coming into your power.
Astrological analysis with nakshatras
Tumblr media
The princess diaries, 1 and 2, are forever on the list of my favorite movies. Girls all over the world feel for Mia and I'm no exception, I almost always cry during certain scenes and I'm amazed again and again by how relatable and real she is, by how those movies speak to young girls.
I've decided to break down the main themes in the two movies by analyzing nakshatras of the people involved.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A quick recap of what the story is about: Mia is a 15 year old teenager living in San Francisco with her mother. She's clumsy, awkward and has no self esteem. One day, her estranged grandmother comes to visit her from Europe to tell her that she's the only legitimate heir to rule a small country- Genovia.
Director of the movies, Garry Marshall has Ketu in Magha. Magha is about ancestors, bloodlines and it's also associated with royalty (Magha begins the signs of Leo). Ketu in a chart represents a person's primal creative energy. This explains why he was drawn to a story about royalty. One interesting fact to note is that Gary Marshall made two very iconic movies (Pretty Woman and Runaway Bride) starring Julia Roberts who has been a kind of muse to him and who has Magha moon. This is also a pattern with directors and actors, one example I can think of is Kirsten Dunst (Ashlesha moon, Purva Ashadha Ketu) being a muse to Sofia Coppola (Purva Ashadha moon, Ashlesha Ketu).
Anyways, let's get back to The Princess Diaries and analyze the heart of the two movies- the relationship between Mia and her grandmother, queen Clarisse.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anne Hathaway - Hasta moon, Vishakha sun, Jyeshta rising
Julie Andrews - Vishakha moon, Hasta sun, Uttara Phalguni rising
SPOILER ALERT
Part 1
Hasta- strong females
Tumblr media
The second movie's main theme is about female empowerment and independence. When the parliament refuses to let Mia rule without a husband, she has 30 days to arrange a marriage and she's willing to do it, just because she wants to rule so much that's she's ready to make such a sacrifice. At the last second she breaks down at her wedding, unable to be betray herself and finds courage inside her to make the parliament change their minds. She succeds and becomes queen without a husband.
Hasta is all about female empowerment but unlike Bharani, it's in a non-sexual, celibate way. Hasta, as a woman, completely rejects almost all male influence and is capable of being self-reliant, only opening up to rare men who she deems worthy. Hasta is the female that does not need a man and in that way, is a safe and empowering place for women.
There's a scene in the second movie where Mia stops the parade to defend a small girl from boys who were bullying her. She tells her how to be a princess and empowers her, letting her and the other kids join the parade. During the monologue at the end, when Mia is talking to the parliament at her wedding, we see women accross the country intently listening to her on the television, shushing the men . 😆
Part 2
Vishakha - joining opposites
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like Hasta, both Anne Hathaway and Julie Andrews have Vishakha in their luminaries. Vishakha nakshatra is about joining opposites. It begins in the sign of Libra (partnerships, agreements, relationships, compromise) with its last quarter being in Scorpio (death, transformation, occult). Vishakha is ruled by the gods Indra and Agni- the lightning and fire gods. It's about energized ebthuasiasm, cultivating something over time, about using the pent up energy or anger. It's another name is Radha ("the gift", hence the next nakshatra being Anuradha- "after the gift".)
"The gift" is not just good, it can also be unwelcome, like in Mia's case, when she was angered by the revelation that she's a princess. Queen Clarisse and Mia are very different from each other, but neither had a choice but to compromise and agree to a bargain. They learn to appreciate their differences and embrace their similarities, thus, joining opposite forces.
They do have misunderstandings, but that's part of all relationships and eventually they bond deeply as they realize they have the same goal. Vishakha is also connected to anger and the little outbursts they both have definitely show that. One great example is when Mia ruins Lana's (her bully's) outfit and calls her a jerk in front of everyone after always just silently ignoring her remarks.
Joining opposites in this movie is not just about Mia and the Queen, it's also about the two cultures, also about the first movie being a high school drama as well as a fairytale for young girls.
Part 3
Jyeshta - from underdog to the ruler
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgement that something else is more important than fear."
-Mia's father to her in a letter
To me, Jyeshta is connected to the underdog who succeeds despite all odds. Jyeshta 's power is to "rise, conquer and gain courage in battle". It's the stage of intense competition. Its deity is Indra- lightning god and the king of the gods, like Vishakha. We see other kids bully Mia in the first film but she slowly places herself above it, making her point (by taking her little revenge on Lana) and then not engaging with them anymore, as she realizes her own self- worth.
A major point in the movie is when she decides not to run away despite being scared to speak to the public, showing her true courage.
Besides Indra- the king of the gods, another deity associated with Jyeshta is Dhumavati- the hag goddess who is eternally hungry. Because of this, I think Jyeshta is associated with grandmothers and our relationship to them. I personally have exalted Ketu in Jyeshta and I was practically raised by my father's late mother (unlike my sibling, mind you. I'm the eldest) and I still have a close relationship with my mother's mother. Mia, played by Jyeshta ascendant Anne Hathaway, also has a very special relationship with her grandmother.
So, in the end, the bullied underdog became a princess and eventually- a queen.
Some bonuses:
Uttara Phalguni is associated with gaining wealth and privileges from partnerships. Uttara Phalguni ascendant Julie Andrews playing queen Clarisse, who became a royal by marriage, confirms that.
Heather Mattarazo (Lily) and Anne Hathaway were born only a few days apart, hence their charts being similar and them playing best friends.
So, this is it. If you found this interesting, please, interact with me, like, comment, reblog. Take care 🤍

“has it occurred to you that we’ve spent more valentine’s days with each other than with people we’ve actually been dating?”
rulie
Their first Valentine's together is an accident-the both of them had dates, but thanks to a freak storm they were stuck inside. Reggie hadn't even meant to be at the Molinas, but he had left his bag there after band practice and when the rain started he couldn't exactly leave.
"This sucks," he grumbled as he stared out the window. "I am never gonna get another chance with Kayla."
"Wait, you asked Kayla out for a first date on Valentine's?" Julie asked with a giggle, handing him a mug of hot chocolate.
"I wanted to be romantic!" he exclaimed. "Not like you and Nick are much better, what have you been together like a week?"
"It'll be a month next Tuesday!" She gave him a playful shove, but she was smiling, which always made Reggie happy-Julie had so little cause to smile over the past year, so he was thrilled whenever she did.
"Well he's missing out, you look amazing," he said, flicking through the channels to find the least cheesy rom-com.
"Thanks," she said with a blush. "You look...the same."
"I was gonna change!" he protested.
"Sure you were."
"Shut up and enjoy the movie Molina."
~
The next time was a few years later-and the Phantoms just happened to be on tour. They were in some podunk little town, trying to build their brand. None of them were overjoyed to be away from their partners on Valentine's, but they had all agreed that their art came first.
However, after their show, Alex was calling Willie, Luke was trying to find inspiration at the bottom of a bottle, and once again, Julie and Reggie were curled up together with a bad movie and a hot drink.
"Not calling Kris?" Reggie asked as Meg Ryan did something quirky up on the screen.
"No answer," Julie answered sullenly. "Anne?"
"Went to voicemail," Reggie replied. "But she had to work tonight, so that tracks."
"Well at least we have each other and Meg," Julie commented.
"To Meg," Reggie said as they clinked their glasses.
"To Meg."
~
The next few years they found themselves single more often than not, so it meant more Valentine's together, usually with a movie and cuddles. Some years they had a partner and actually went out or did something, but none of those relationships ever seemed to lst.
"I think we have a tendency to attract losers," Julie commiserated over ice cream.
"Rebecca was nice, we just didn't have anything in common," Reggie argued. "But Matt-ooof, Jules you sure can pick 'em."
"Don't make be bring up Gigi."
Reggie shuddered at that-that one had been a mistake right from the start that went on far too long. He still had regrets about it-and his friends would probably never let him live it down.
"Maybe we should just give up, stick to our ritual of watching movies together and let romance pass us by for a while," he commented.
Julie hummed at that, clinking their mugs together, but then paused. "Has it occurred to you that we’ve spent more Valentine’s days with each other than with people we’ve actually been dating?"
"Really?" Reggie asked, then thought on it. "Huh. I'm okay with that though. Can't go wrong with hot cocoa and Julia Roberts, Meg Ryan or Sandra Bullock."
"I thought we were watching The Notebook this year."
"You know what I meant," he said, knocking their shoulders together. "You, Julie Molina, are the best Valentine there is."
"I should start asking for flowers and chocolate then," she joked. "Maybe do something other than watching a movie on the couch."
"Do you wanna go out?" Reggie asked. "Get a fancy dinner, go dancing? Because we can if you want."
"Won't everywhere be booked?"
"We're rock stars now, surely we can get a table and a floor to sway across somewhere," Reggie replied.
"Okay," Julie giggled. "I'll go get ready."
They ran off to their respective rooms-Alex and Willie had their own place and Luke was half way into moving out, but the two of them had been fine living together in the band apartment by themselves, even if they sometimes missed having all of them in one space. Reggie found a nice pair of slacks and a button down, tossing a blazer over it at the last second, but forewent a tie-he never knew how to knot the things anyways.
He emerged just as Julie did in a frothy red dress, her hair done up, her lips a deep crimson, and he let out an exaggerated whistle, just to make her blush and smile-still one of his favourite sights. "Shall we?"
They didn't try to go somewhere too upscale-too many chances of paps looking for their next scoop. But they also didn't go to their usual greasy spoon, even if the idea was slightly tempting. They found a little place that Reggie liked for dates that had a free table in the back, a good selection of wine, and an even better dessert menu.
"Beats cocoa and Gosling?" he asked as Julie polished off the last of the cheesecake.
"You promised me dancing," she reminded him.
"So I did."
But finding a place they could dance outside of a club was a bit harder, so Reggie decided to use a move he had once used as a teen that had never done him wrong-he drove to the beach. One that was abandoned and beautiful, especially with the moon sitting in the sky, reflecting off the water.
He turned the car stereo way up, and held out his hand to Julie/ "Shall we?"
She kicked off her heels and nodded, letting him lead her around the dunes, head resting on his shoulder. "This is the best date I've ever been on," she whispered.
"Me too," he replied, tilting her head up. "Glad it was with you."
And maybe it was the day, or her eyes sparkling in the starlight, or the fact that he had always wanted this, but had never admitted it, even to himself, but in that moment, Reggie kissed her. A kiss that made his toes curl in his boots, that made her cling to him as she deepened it, that made the music in his heart sing even louder than the stereo.
They broke apart, out of breath, smiling, blushing, and dove back in for another. And another, until their lips were swollen.
"Definitely better than cocoa," Julie finally said.
Reggie beamed, dipping her as the song came to a crescendo, her laugh echoing over the waves, and they walked hand in hand back to the car, fingers never letting go as they drove home. Kissing goodnight at her door in a soft lingering fashion.
The both of them agreed it was the best Valentine's ever-well until the next year when they were dating for real and decided to do it all over again-only they ended up back on the couch at the end-decidedly not watching The Notebook, their cocoa stone cold on the coffee table.

The Ecstasy of Influence by Jonathan Lethem ([on/a] plagiarism)
On the Ethics of Boinking Animal People by Patricia Taxxon (video essay) (ostensibly what the title says, but actually a detailed musing on the essential properties of furry media and the freedom of dehumanization; changed my life a bit)

“I love you,” he said, and it felt as if the whole world settled into place when he finally told her. “I love you, and I cannot bear the thought of a moment without you, I want you at my side and in my bed. I want you to bear my children, and I want every bloodline person in the world to know that you are mine.”
“Daniel,” she said, and he couldn’t tell if she was protesting or giving in. But her eyes had filled with tears, and he knew he was close.
“I won’t be satisfied with anything less than everything,” he whispered. “I’m afraid you’re going to have to marry me.”
Her chin trembled. It might have been a nod. “I love you,” she whispered. “I love you too.”
“And…..?” He prodded. Because he was going to make her say it.
“Yes,” she said. “If you’re brave enough to want me, I will marry you.”

Dear Wendy by Ann Zhao cover!  art by betsy cola, design by julia bianchi
Sophie Chi is in her first year at Wellesley College (despite her parents’ wishes that she attend a “real” university, rather than a liberal arts school) and has long accepted her aromantic and asexual identities. Despite knowing she’ll never fall in love, she enjoys running an Instagram account that offers relationship advice to students at Wellesley. No one except her roommate knows that she’s behind the incredibly popular "Dear Wendy" account. When Joanna “Jo” Ephron―also a first-year student at Wellesley―created their “Sincerely Wanda” account, it wasn't at all meant to be serious or take off like it does―not like Dear Wendy’s. But now they might have a rivalry of sorts with Dear Wendy? Oops . As if Jo’s not busy enough having existential crises over gender, the fact that she’ll never truly be loved or be enough, or her few friends finding The One and forgetting her! While tensions are rising online, Sophie and Jo are getting closer in real life, bonding over their shared aroace identities. As their friendship develops and they work together to start a campus organization for other a-spec students, can their growing bond survive if they learn just who’s behind the Wendy and Wanda accounts? With its exploration of a-spec identities, college life, and more, this platonic comedy, perfect for fans of Netflix’s The Half of It and Alice Oseman’s Loveless , is ultimately a love story about two people who are not―and will not―be in love!

APH x EVILLIOUS
So- I was thinking on a Hetalia AU of Evillious Chronicles (Vocaloid Saga) so, here are some characters >I think< they could fit well. Have to say this is my own interpretation ! I love this saga. I’m not an expert, nor heard the new songs bc idk what the fuck is doing mothy with the saga now. Note: Not all characters would fit their "canon" relationships on this AU, I choose the characters of by their personality thinking on the original character. Also Nyos and their counterparts could be not related nor be the same character of course.
It’s important to say that the story has a lot of body swaps, reincarnations, so, some characters will not act as they should, some are just “vessels”
Theres some empty roles, i’m starving on female characters, HIMARUYAAA
So, here we go.
Tumblr media
Second Period
Levia // Nyo! Poland Behemo// Poland Seth Twiright // Prussia Gumilia Matsumoto//  Nyo! Iceland Michael(a) Arklow// Finland
Lich// Norway Eater// Denmark
Original Sin Story
Levia // Nyo! Poland Behemo// Poland Seth Twiright // Prussia Maria Moonlit //  Ancient Greece Eve Zvezda // Hungary Adam Moonlit // Austria Meta Salmhofer // Nyo! Denmark? France Ly Li//  Vietnam Elluka Clockworker // Ukraine's body (soul of Nyo! Poland and Poland)
Irina Clockworker(ReBirth) // Neko! Belarus
note: Elluka Clockworker is a new character, not the original Elluka, she is Levia/Behemo Vessel. So now, Ukraine’s conscience is just Nyo!Poland and Poland.
Other note: Later, Prussia used Grim the End as a vessel for his soul, becoming himself the wrath demon, later Austria would join into the vessel before going to Marlon Spoon, weird huh
⚔ Venomania | Lust Arc

Julia Abelard// “Nyo!Italy” (possesed by Neko! Belarus) Mayrana Blossom// Nyo! Romano Lemy Abelard// Sealand Rin// --
Elluka// Nyo!Russia Gumilia/ Eight Snipper// Nyo Iceland
DUEL OF MERRIGOD PLATEAU On this part between Sloth and Envy arc where the characters have a conflict and a New Entity is created through the combination of conscience of these characters. This new conscience is named as "Elluka Ma Clockworker" or just "Ma" Elluka(Levia/Behemo)// Nyo! Poland and Poland Gumilia/ Eight// Nyo! Iceland Irina Clockworker (Julia Abelard)// Belarus Levia// Nyo! Poland Behemo// Poland Lemy// Sealand (Here, Lemy dies, and Behemo abandons Elluka's body and goes to Heavenly Yard) Then the souls merge. i'm new to the tudor "fandom" can you explain why anne fans hate jane rochford?? like it's so strange seymour i can atleast understand even if their wrong but what on earth did rochford do to make them hate her?
✨ terfs/zionists fuck off ✨
well, i don’t consider myself the best spokesperson for ab fans, to be fair! certainly a lot of anne fans do like jane, and go to significant lengths to challenge the negative ideas surrounding her. many anne fans appreciate jane’s close relationship with the boleyn family, and recognise the misogyny and injustice present in both cases that led to each women’s executions, as well as in subsequent historiography.
however, with that said: yes, there can be a perceivable trend of anne fans not liking jane rochford.
firstly there’s the fact that jane has been scapegoated for anne’s death for centuries, and still is — many recent works have been all too willing to uncritically repeat the narrative of a scheming jane acting against the boleyns. if you are new to fandom, you may be unaware of the context for discourses around jane. eric ives’ book on anne is perhaps the most influential modern biography on her: it concludes that jane must have colluded with cromwell. susan bordo’s the creation of anne boleyn was hugely popular in fandom and likewise argues the same. conversely, jane’s main reappraisal should be credited to julia fox, who arguably takes a more critical view of anne boleyn. this is to say nothing of all the popular history books/documentaries on the subject, or dramatisations that still characterise jane as spiteful and scheming, such as the tudors, wolf hall, and channel 5’s anne boleyn. for anne fans, this view may well compound the idea that jane betrayed anne and caused the deaths of her and her brother. perhaps there is some substance to such a view, as james taffe’s recent biography of jane has countered fox’s reappraisal and defends the view that jane testified against the boleyns. personally, i think he over-corrected in this effort, but nevertheless, that may be the simplest answer to your question.
beyond this, i suppose historical evidence might arguably put them at odds (jane may have supported mary, she ‘confirms’ anne’s guilt through the testimony that anne slandered her husband, anne seems to have used and discarded her when banished from court for trying to remove another lady from court which challenges the idea of anne as a ‘feminist’ defender of women). beyond anne, people might take issue with jane’s involvement with katherine howard and thomas culpeper. but quite honestly, i think (some) anne fans don’t like jane rochford because i believe anne fans don’t like historical women, in general. we unfortunately simply cannot discount misogyny.
i get the impression that the dislike stems from the same issues anne fans have with other female contemporaries (catherine of aragon, mary i, jane seymour)… i.e. difficulties in tolerating women who aren’t entirely loyal and subordinate to anne, and a discomfort at the narrative of historiographical misogyny being applied to historical women other than anne. i imagine this is a symptom of the ‘not like other girls’-esque exceptionalism that anne’s fandom popularity is built on. in other words, i think acknowledging a historical woman other than anne might have been mistreated by the historical record seems to threaten the popular idea of anne boleyn as singularly persecuted. i have seen whinging about a historian tweeting their personal opinion (which they qualified as such) that jane was the “most maligned” woman in history. this prompted the (reasonable) argument that others had it worse than jane in historiography only to cite a (unreasonable) ‘better’ example of a maligned historical woman in the form of Literal Nazi™️ wallis simpson… and not, say, any historical women of colour for whom history has certainly been unkinder to than another aristocratic white woman. i have seen complaints of a “industrial complex” over jane in fandom, and i have seen fans sarcastically mocking “slander allegations”, attempting to diminish and delegitimise defence of jane — as if the dehumanising and misogynistic historiographical record regarding a woman judicially murdered by a man willing to change laws protecting people suffering from mental illnesses from capital punishment is anything but slander. i can't find any other explanation for this than misogyny, really.
