“gojo-sensei.”
megumi calls him softly. a rare tenderness underneath his stoic nature. the annoyance gone towards the man who raised him for the last twenty years.
a smile quirk up on satoru's lips. amused at megumi's surprising behavior towards him. he didn't say anything. remaining silent as he continued to speak.
“things happened a lot and i thought, although you're going to be annoying about it.” megumi swallows like his throat had gone dry before continuing. “i'm a father now.”
you slowly gave your baby to your husband. megumi gentle cradled the newborn in his arms before showing it to his teacher. “you're going to be a pain in the ass if i told you but meet, satoru.”
gojo's eyes widened. a chuckle escaping his lips at he looks at megumi. it seems like yesterday megumi was so little and now mature. a father now.
the baby let out a gentle coo. his eyes that are yet to open fluttered. “ (y/n) and i decided to name our kid from you.” megumi looks behind you and you smiled. resting your jaw in his shoulder as you caress the head of your child with megumi. “it's all thanks to you. pestering me and (y/n) and we have a kid now. i know i wasn't a good kid but thank you for the years you've raised me and tsumiki. looking out for me and (y/n). please do continue looking out for us and to our child.”
“now, now — megumi. don't get too emotional on me but —” a tear pooled at the corner of gojo's eyes. threatening to fall at any moment now. touched at megumi's words. “after all these years, you've gotten kind at me!” he dramatically speak. faking to faint before returning to his relaxed expression. “don't worry about it, you can always count on me.” he smiles. ruffling megumi's hair.
the wind gently blew in the open air. the leaves swaying on the branches and megumi feels light, contented. staring at the tombstone where his sensei was laid to rest after the shibuya incident. it's been years and the first thing he did after weeks of you giving birth was to introduce his child to his sensei, who stepped up as his father.
megumi didn't forget him. where everyone moved on and continued with their lives, megumi didn't forget his sensei who was dear to him. he wouldn't admit it.
“thank you for everything, gojo-sensei.”

I fully do NOT care if Yutamaki or Itazawa are canon, like I’m pretty used to not getting my preferred ships go canon by now.
But if I have to have one more person freaking CLOWNING ON ME for daring to say that I’m still reading it as just implied or simply the fact that I ship Nobamaki and Itafushi, I am fully going to crash out.

In my satosugu-diseased brain, Gojo and/or Geto made this face to the other when they were reunited at some point in the afterlife.
Tumblr media
For Yuji, the snow is reminiscent of his unchanged soul even despite the trauma and tragedy of what happened. And the “dazzling snow reminds me of someone I really love.” - for Oizawa, it’s a connection to Yuji.
The blue... between Gojo and Geto. Well, we know it reminded them of a time (and of the “one and only”) they had always cherished.
The “feelings arrow” is from Oizawa -> Yuji and not reciprocated.
But for Gojo & Geto? I’m eternally grateful that Gege made it Gojo -> <- Geto.

So, maybe I’m overanalyzing word choice, but I can’t exactly remember if twins in jjk share a single soul or not, because iirc, Sukuna consumed his twin in the womb as well as his soul.
Now call me a liar or whatever but I’ve had this reincarnation headcanon for Sukuna and the Itadori’s for like two years now and believed it followed a pattern of one twin being born each generation and that Wasuke was Sukuna’s human reincarnation and Jin his twins THUS meaning that Yuji would be the next Sukuna reincarnation.
SO, with that all said, I still dont believe that Wasuke is Sukuna’s twin reborn; his sour disposition and looks are so damn similar to Sukuna (and thus Yuji(looks)) compared to Jin, it makes more sense to me since Akutami specified that Wasuke shares a soul with Sukuna. AND considering Wasuke’s concern for Yuji following in his footsteps (and thus Sukuna’s) as a karmic reincarnation of the King of Curses (guy who does a lot of mean and bad things in his life and dies alone), it just makes more sense to me? As far as I know, Wasuke cared deeply for Jin, just as Sukuna would have cared for his family had he been given the chance (and thus shown when he adopted Uraume and pretended like he did it for a selfish reason as if he didnt find Ura’s loneliness painfully close).
Idk yall, I see these parallels and comparing them to the other canonical twins (Maki and Mai, Toji and Jinichi), twins arent the same person, they dont act the same, they dont have the same goals, and when their heart dies, heavenly restriction and the other’s cursed energy becomes absolute. So considering Toji and Maki didnt eat their twins, I think it makes sense that they wouldve become exceedingly powerful as Sukuna did.
This has been a long ramble and, like I said, I could be reading too far into it, but man, having a headcanon for as long as I have that (maybe twisted to my views) suits new canon, seeing people call Sukuna and Wasuke twins irks me because it just doesn’t make sense to me. Thanks for coming to my ted talk 🫡.

every time i see a news article say how ozawa and yuuji are now canon i die a little inside because he has shown NO interest in her at all this entire time like... THEYRE NOT CANON. its basically just confirming that she does love yuuji. like i love ozawa and i think she's a good character but i dont think that in the end theyre canon.
like i dont think he blushes ONCE while talking to her in the entire chapter. like its all her. idk just my opinion though. i still think she's cute tho :)
her and yuuji just dont seem canon to me

Me looking to the side. did no one else know Uraume was likely a kid before the epilogue? it's been said before in the manga & anime. the epilogue only pointed it and the history out more.

✎ protect
Tumblr media
- gojo satoru x reader
the word “protect” now means so much more to him
genre: soft and playful gojo, sugary dump fluff, pregnant!reader
note: anyone craving some soft gojo? :3 based on a suggestion by an anon who needs a soft gojo a while back, thank you!
a part of gojo's love entries
general masterlist
Tumblr media
When he was 16, Gojo Satoru thought that protecting other people was a pain, and didn't take it seriously.
Later, when he realized that even non-sorcerers deserve to live their lives in peace, he dedicated himself to becoming stronger so that he would be capable to protect them more. However, even then, he didn't perceive their worth as significant.
But when you entered the picture, that measly, glorified word suddenly became so much more.
Usually people would only care about whether he had succeeded his mission or not. His formidable reputation as the epitome of strength means no one is genuinely interested in his wellbeing—no one after Suguru, to be exact—until you did.
After a whirlwind romance of attraction and banters, Satoru reached the conclusion that he wanted you, the only person left who actually made him feel like a human, to stay happy and safe. He would do it with his own hands, even if it meant reshaping this cruel world to be kinder for you with him as your shield.
And the word “protect” gained an entirely new meaning years later, when he rested his head on your swollen belly—the place where his new cherished treasure was growing.
“When will he come out~?” he asked in a whiny tone and a blissful smile, even though he clearly knew the answer.
You shook your head with playful resignation, unable to conceal your smile. "In three weeks. Now help me get comfortable, you dork."
He helped you turn over and fetched a pillow to place under your aching spine. Then, with a mischievous grin, he lightly poked your belly with two fingers, eliciting a yelp from you.
"Don't poke me! You're poking your child!"
To that, Satoru merely threw his head back and snickered like the dumbass he was. He then tenderly rested his hand on the taut skin of your belly, gently massaging it, smiling with ardent happiness.
"Can't really believe it," he sighed, brimming with the purest sense of contentment. "A mini Gojo, huh... You're really doing a honorable work."
A child of his and yours. He had always wondered how he would be after seeing him firsthand—would he laugh just like he had been doing now, or will it be the first instance that move him to the point of shedding tears? One of the reasons he eagerly anticipated his son's birth was just to discover how he would react.
Seeing the weight of his baby growing within you, making you rounder and fuller, stirred a deep well of warm emotions in him with each passing day though.
"I am," you retorted cheekily, rolling your eyes. "In fact, you should be revering and worshipping me for carrying your spawn."
He merely hummed in a childlike manner, feeling his baby move around under his touch. You were about to roast him again with something funny when he leaned down and planted a kiss on your tummy, whispering to it.
"Please come out already~ Papa wants to meet you!"
Your heart swelled with warmth at that moment. Gojo Satoru was many things, but he wasn't typically known for his softness—he was often seen as this all-perfect being, and so witnessing him acting purely on his human emotions brought you a sense of happiness.
“Who do you think he’ll take after?” you mused.
“Hmmm. Me, obviously. He'll be hot just like me!” he quipped proudly, and you playfully smacked him on the arm.
Satoru caught your hand and kissed it tenderly amidst his grin. "But I want him to have your personality. I'd hate to see him be a show-off."
"So you do realize that you're actually a menace."
He laughed out loud, patting the generous swell of your belly again with a smug look on his face.
"I know, but I'm your menace, and that's all that matters."
And when his adorable son was born less than three weeks later and you passed out due to sheer exhaustion, Satoru vowed by everything in the heavens and the earth that he wouldn't spare anything to protect you and his child from this curse-filled world.
Tumblr media
Epilogue - on the night of the birth -
“Satoru—” you panted, grimacing, head jerking back as your womb throbbed and pulsed in order to bring forth your child into the world. “I… feel like I’m going to faint…”
Worry etched his face as you leaned on him. “Hey, hey… Calm down sweetheart, relax and catch up on your breath, okay? Don’t worry, he’ll come out soon.”
Somehow his words rubbed you the wrong way.
“Hahh—this… is because of you! This happened because you shoved your stick into me! You horny bas—aahh!”
“Well, hey! Last I remembered, you begged me to put it into you! And I'm not—pfft—”
“Then what are you?!”
“Hmmm, nothing but a man who got you pregnant, sweetheart~”
“If I bleed out and die, it’s going to be your fault, you evil, wretched sorcerer!”

Tentative thoughts about the JJK Epilogue Chapters that have just leaked.
Spoilers (obviously) under the cut:
As you know if you have come across my posts, I’m a shipper so I view things with a special satosugu lens. I mean, they’re the grandparents - the strongest of the modern era - who started the wave of change, after all.
Just this image alone reminds me of that:
Tumblr media
I digress.
So I think it links back to Gojo trying to nurture the students so that what happened to Geto and him wouldn’t be repeated.
The epilogue of each person seems to pull on themes relating to Gojo & Geto.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Snow = their connection = their Ao / 青春 / Blue Spring
Nostalgia. Unchanging bond. A sentimentality. Something treasured.
The person who you are on the inside may not change you when if things in life occur or threaten to change you.
Tumblr media
Panda being Yuta’s/Gojo clan’s treasures = being spoken about by children of the future.
The passage of time that is natural. What seems to be a peaceful world. The curse between Yuta & Rika was unlike what was between Gojo & Geto.
If one is willing to heal, people can recover & move on. EDIT: Even if I’m not generally a fan of YutaMaki , I guess I can see the sense in it. Yuta is a bit monstrous from being able to bind Rika & upon releasing use her shikigami & move on (despite(?) his pure love much as it is part of his CT) with Maki. And Maki can use Mai (with honour) to obliterate her clan to change things. So they’re just quite fitting I guess. Gojo & Geto are a little different in that they moved on in some ways, but also bound each other emotionally until the end.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“From the bottom of my heart” / 心底 / 心の底 (as pictured from jjk0) - sincerity, authenticity. One’s true self.
Tumblr media
That it matters whether one truly and sincerely cares. Whether the other portrays themselves authentically or not.
Even the blindfold and Gojo’s somewhat disapproving attitude towards Geto’s apparent frivolous attitude in his portrayal as a villain was pictured in 0 — seem to parallels with Nobara & her mum.
But they’re of course not perfectly paralleled. Gojo cared for Geto & Geto was honest with Gojo at the end. Geto also never enjoyed doing what he did, unlike that Nobara’s mum appears to. But that is if we believe what she actually says.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
U: Aren’t you cold being beside me?
S: The same goes for you, Uraume.
Theme here? My only one.
Each other’s only exception. And they’re reunited in the afterlife.
Edit: if I’m not mistaken, Gojo & Geto do not refer to each other by name in the afterlife. Only in the scene in jjk 0 (“satoru, you’re late” & “suguru, ______”).
And so it seems poignant that Sukuna & Uraume call each other by name in the afterlife + flashback in the epilogue.
It makes for a nice contrast between the pairs, imho... it’s worth noting here that they also go in opposite directions - South & North, respectively. To the past/“unknown” and somewhere new/a “next time”.
In sum... It echoes my thoughts over the ending of jjk. Gojo, Geto, and the others of their generation helped to break the norms of the crappy jujutsu world.
Gege injects these little salient themes into the series and they’re like Easter eggs for people like me who think too much 🤣
Thank you Gege for writing this...
Thank you guys for reading my thoughts & musings.
Comments are welcome as always 🙏🏼
