shaadi mubarak 24.08.20 lb
A widow and an ex-film star, both in their 40s, partner up to start a wedding planning firm. Thus begins a unique tale of self-respect, friendship and love....
Just the blurb is filling me with hope. Premature and foolish of me, but SELF RESPECT, FRIENDSHIP, *AND* LOVE?!!!?!?!? IT'S TICKING ALL MY "HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP" BOXESSSSSSSSS. LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
i'm just so relieved that they're showcasing rajashree's gorgeous brown skin properly, without whitewashing her.
omg rajeshwari sachdev's in this tooooooo!
idk who these ppl are plot wise, some relatives of preeti's i guess?
lol i like rajeshwari's character (kusum) already. i hope she isn't gonna be a bitchy bhaabi or anything.
i keep missing what exact relation kusum has to preeti. i think i heard something about being samdhans??
ohhhhhhhhhh. kusum's son (sumedh) is married to preeti's daughter (juhi). samdhans it is.
and here they are.
lol ok, kusum issssss kind of a bitch. she's making faces at preeti's shaadi handling skills. pls god let her just be snarky, but mostly a good person.
honestly man, what's her self-care routine, that she looks this amazing at 40+, with two grownass kids who are married? didi pls to share full diet plan and list of skincare products.
ugh what is this ladke ki maa bullllllllllllshit? this is 2020 ffs.
A+ to juhi for diplomacy and handling her saas nicely.
lol @ these two cringing at kusum's antics.
juhi and her husband are cute.
preeti has some kinda moun vrat going on (???) and is guiding juhi about what to say as per the ritual.
rajasthani shaadi hai, bollywood ne gaana banaaya hai, toh ghoomar toh karna hi hai.
lol ofc this one has something to say about it.
brat son is stomping around brattishly.
a little too late to be complaining about the thaam jhaam level of the wedding no?
dulhan ka shaadi ka lehenga phat gayaaaa. DHADAAAM DHADAAAM DHADAAAAAAAAAAAAM.*thaali drop moment*
sumedh is good boy. happy for him and juhi, who seem like a sweet and loving and suljhe hue couple.
ofc preeti's gonna whip up a wholeasssssss shaadi ka lehenga in an hour or so.
god i hate the son so much already. fucking brat.
bride likes the lehenga. she seems nice enough in this first ep, but we all know from the promo that it's all gonna be shot to shit. ugh.
yup. there it is, plans to make preeti run the house like a servant. bitchhhhhhhhhhhh.
cute cute cute.
preeti's written some pretty heartfelt poems that.......... i don't think brat son and bitch bahu are gonna really appreciate.
sumedh and juhi should be in india's diplomatic service. itne achchi taraah se handle karte hain sabko.
yeh le jhoomar is gonna fall. and i'm guessing preeti's moun vrat is gonna break?
lmao really bad vfx when the jhoomar fell.
sabka reaction on hearing her talk is........ kuch zyaada hi.
wait what????????/ everyone was under the impression that she was mute like.... based on a physical inability to talk?
EVEN TARUN THOUGHT THAT????????????
god it was some mannat. that too for this naalaayak, ugh.
apparently tarun literally ate kaanch as a kid and almost lost his voice and thus the mannat.
bitch bahu is like ugh, she talks??!?!? which, i mean, i kinda relate to, but it's a bitchy af thought to have.
sumedh is best beta here. this one's "maaaaaaaaa" waali aankhein i don't trust.
yup. there it is.
DRAMA?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!!? DRAAAAAMA?!?!!!??!!??! THIS FUCKING ASSSHOLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
even shady samdhan is like fuck youuuuuuuuu brat.
man someone murder this fuckerrrrrrrr. sumedh pls do the honorssssssss.
even bitchy bahu and maa realise ki yeh zyaaada hai.
TFW motherhood is totally not worth it. (get a pet! they’re soooooo much more worth the energy/love!)
oh, papa was also a fucker. typical. achcha hua nahi rahein.
"pata nahi kab maa ki khushiyaan aayengi?!"
yeh lo ji, aa gayi khushiyaan.
in a....... velvet suit?!!?!? WHILE WE HAVE >90% HUMIDITY IN THIS COUNTRY?!?!?!!?!? brave wardrobe decision, sir.
ofc the poem is gonna fly rightttttttttt onto mr. velvet suit khushiyaan man.
thank you, serendipitous jhonka of hawa!
lmao, this one is doing a dramatic reading of a random poem he found on the floor. i'm reminded of joey reading ‘love you forever” for emma's birthday party.
DIMPLE ALERTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!! ADORABLE ALERT!!!
lol filmyyyyy keeda bohut hi zor se hai inko. but everything maaf coz he seems so fucking lovable.
BUT ALSO I LOVE THAT IKTARA IS THEIR THEME SLKDFJSLKFJLDKJ I'M SO HYPE JUST GIVE ME THE MUTUALLY RESPECTFUL FRIENDSHIP/LOVE ALREADY!!!!!!!

Bollywood Couples Who Had A Low-Key Wedding Away From Fans And Media
Bollywood Couples Who Had A Low-Key Wedding Away From Fans And Media Niharika Nayak Hyderabd040-395603080 October 24, 2019
Everybody wants a big fat Indian wedding. We hear stories of celebrities throwing grand weddings to celebrate their nuptials all the time which go on to serve as inspiration for our respective Pinterest boards. However, there are a few celebrities who successfully managed to cut down their carbon footprint while celebrating their union.
Instead of imbuing this momentous occasion with luxury and grandeur, they chose to celebrate in a low-key manner setting the much-needed examples in our excess-driven society. Here are ten celeb couples whose celebrations were simple events with only close family and friends in attendance:
10. Milind Soman And Ankita Konwar
ankita_earthy / Instagram
Making his debut as a model in the 90s, he stole the hearts of millions of people across the country. After being a bachelor for many years, Milind finally tied the knot with his girlfriend, Ankita in 2018. The couple were married in a beautiful traditional Maharashtrian ceremony at Milind’s Alibaug farmhouse in the presence of their close family and friends.
9. Shahid Kapoor And Mira Rajput
mira.kapoor / Instagram
Bollywood’s favorite chocolate boy, Shahid Kapoor, broke the hearts of his fangirls when he got married to Delhi-based Mira Rajput in a hush-hush wedding at a Gurudwara on the outskirts of Delhi. The ceremony was modest, with around 40 of their close friends and family followed by a star-studded wedding reception in Mumbai with the entire Bollywood fraternity in attendance.
8. Urmila Matondkar And Mohsin Akhtar Mir
urmilamatondkarofficial / Instagram
Another 90s heartthrob known for her critically acclaimed roles in Ek Hasina Thi, Rangeela and Satya, Matondkar, tied the knot with a Kashmiri businessman named Mohsin Akhtar Mir. The two got married in a low-profile private ceremony at Urmila’s residence with close friends and family in attendance. Urmila looked stunning in a gorgeous red and golden lehenga designed by her close friend, Manish Malhotra, who also played the cupid in her love story. The couple met at Malhotra’s niece’s wedding in 2014, and for Mir, it was love at first sight.
7. John Abraham And Priya Runchal
priya_runchal / Instagram
Bollywood hottie John Abraham tied the knot in a hush-hush ceremony with his then-girlfriend Priya Runchal, an investment banker. The cat got out of the bag when he accidentally broke the news by wishing everyone on New Year and signed off the message as John and Priya Abraham.
6. Juhi Chawla And Jay Mehta
iamjuhichawla / Instagram
Jay Mehta was introduced to Juhi as a close friend of Rakesh Roshan, they became good friends and met up a few times over the following months. However, tragedy struck Jay when his first wife, Sujatha Birla, lost her life to a tragic airplane accident. During this time Juhi stayed by his side as a friend and eventually their friendship blossomed into romance.
They got engaged and planned for their wedding. However, tragedy struck once again when Juhi lost both her mother and brother, causing their marital plans to reach a steady halt.
In 1995, after almost five years of relationship, the couple secretly tied the knot in a private ceremony in front of close family and friends. The marriage only came to light when it was reported that Juhi was expecting the couple’s first child.
5. Himesh Reshammiya And Sonia Kapoor
realhimesh / Instagram
The renowned vocalist got hitched to his long-time love interest Sonia Kapoor in a private function at home in the presence of their close ones. His son from his first marriage, Shyam, was also present at the wedding.
4. Aftab Shivdasani And Nin Dusanj
aftabshivdasani / Instagram

3. Minissha Lamba & Ryan Tham
On July 6th, 2015 actress Minissha Lamba had a secret wedding with her long-term partner, Ryan Tham. Their marriage was a court wedding and was only brought to the limelight after a congratulatory tweet from Pooja Bedi.
2. Konkona Sen Sharma & Ranveer Shorey
The Economic Times
In September 2010, acclaimed actress and director, Konkona Sen Sharma married her longtime boyfriend, actor Ranveer Shorey in a super private ceremony that was limited to just close family. The couple had always shied away from the spotlight and only broke the news of their marriage two days later on Twitter. They welcomed their baby boy, Haroon in March 2011. Despite the marriage not working out, they share a sweet child, and Konkona dons the hat of single mom excellently, as she does with all her movie roles.
1. Rani Mukherjee & Aditya Chopra
India Today
This friendship-turned-romance began after Aditya Chopra ended things with his ex-wife. Rani revealed startling secrets from their years of courtship including how Aditya showed up at her house to ask her parents for permission to take her out on their first date. The celebrated actor and the director dated for years before finally tying the knot in a small, intimate ceremony in 2014. In December 2015, the couple welcomed a baby girl, Adira into the world.
These celebs proved to the world that larger-than-life is not the only way to make declarations of love and commitment. Sometimes, small and intimate conveys the import of the relation in a much more dignified manner.
So, which do you prefer? A grand, fancy wedding or an intimate, low-budget one? Share your views with us in the comments section.

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Preeti and Kamya tease Naina on the nightie incident. Kamya calls their jiju romantic. Naina asks her if he should have been unromantic. Kamya teases her for supporting her husband. Preeti and Kamya say JBR has teased you guys well over honeymoon. Naina proposes to study first and even help Sameer study. Preeti and Kamya laugh hearing it. Kamya shares that Munna and Pundit were talking to Sameer about his honeymoon. Naina asks her to share the details but Kamya says they dint let us know anything. Naina requests her to find out but Kamya tells her to focus on the pink nightie. Preeti also reminds her of what she had just said. Naina makes a face at them and tells them she will find out herself. Naina meets Sameer in the cafe. He tells her he has been thinking about her only. She makes him swear that he is not lying to her and will never lie to her. He agrees. She asks him to tell her what he has planned for honeymoon. Where are we going? Sameer realises that Kamya and Swati must have gave his plan away. She again asks him to tell but he keeps a condition. He points at his lips. She threatens to go but he reminds her that they are about to get married. She reasons that there are so many people around. He offers her to take her to some place where no one will be there but she refuses. What will I say at home? He tells her not to tell at home. We wont be meeting stealthily anyways after this. She gets thinking. Phula Bua asks Bela if she eloped and married Anand. Bela denies. Phula Bua says we will first put haldi and do everything later. Rinki asks her about the ritual. Phula Bua explains it to her. Rinki gets excited again about her wedding. Phula Bua gives her a fitting reply. She asks Arjun if he has informed the guests to come at the venue. He nods. She asks about the outstation guests. Bela shares that her husband will bring everyone. They discuss as to what all will be needed. Preeti tells Naina not to feel so nervous. You used to go in the past too. Why are you afraid now when you are getting married? She offers to take care of everyone. Munna, Pundit and Sameer come to the place. They are impressed by the house. They tease Sameer on his upcoming meeting. It will be your last meeting as a lover. You will later meet her as her husband only. Sameer says relations change between a girl and a boy but friends remain friends forever. They share a hug. Bela asks Naina where she is going. Rinki says she must be going to meet Sameer but Naina denies. I was going to close the door as so much stuff has been kept around. Bela tells her against it. Don’t go anywhere especially not to meet your would-be husband. Rinki says I will surely go when I will be getting married. Phula Bua scolds her. Preeti lies that Naina was going to market to buy clips. Bela says she has enough but Naina adds that she needs matching clips for her lehenga. Bela allows her to go. Sameer goes inside to get the car key. Pundit realises that they missed informing Sameer about Vishakha’s arrival. She is coming today itself. They close the doors so no one casts a bad eye on them. Anand brings a modern suitcase for Naina. Everyone is happy to see it as it has wheels. Preeti jokes that it will be a relief for Sameer as he only would end up carrying it. Everyone smiles. Bela asks her husband if he had word with Rakesh. Has he agreed to come in the wedding? Anand denies. Phula Bua is sure he will come to fulfil his responsibilities as Naina’s father. Anand hopes it happens that way only. He has to agree for Naina’s wedding. Naina sits in Sameer’s car. He asks her why she is tensed. She replies that she came out after so much difficulty. He says difficulties make love stories interesting. He holds her hand romantically but she makes him keep it on the steering. The top wedding trends Bollywood wore at Sonam Kapoor-Ahuja’s reception
Sonam Kapoor-Ahuja and Anand Ahuja’s lavish three-day wedding didn’t just bring a slew of hilarious, unmissable Bollywood pictures and videos with it. The newly-weds’ celebrations also gave India’s wedding hoppers major festive wardrobe inspiration. From Kareena Kapoor Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif and Shweta Bachchan Nanda, the industry’s biggest stars made sure to stop by the Kapoor-Ahuja get-togethers in some of the coolest wedding looks we’ve seen this season. Before you get ready to click on the add to cart button, take cues from these celebrities for the top trends that are currently topping our sartorial charts.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Karisma Kapoor take the ivory route
One of favourite hues at #SonamKiShaadi was white, and very clearly so. While everyone from Katrina Kaif to Shilpa Shetty Kundra worked the hue at Sonam Kapoor’s mehandi, shades of ivory continued to rule at the actor’s wedding reception last night too. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made her entry wearing an embellished Manish Malhotra anarkali; Karisma Kapoor worked her favourite colour with an elegant sari; and Twinkle Khanna complemented her all-white churidar set with gorgeous gemstones in green.

Kareena Kapoor Khan and Janhvi Kapoor go bold with bling
No Indian wedding is complete without a healthy serving of shimmer and shine, and Sonam Kapoor’s celebrations were no different. While the bride’s Veere Di Wedding co-star Kareena Kapoor Khan showed off her steel-cut abs in an intense gold pre-stitched sari, sisters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor walked in wearing lehengas drenched in minty blue and coral sequins respectively. Other fans of the OTT bling at #SonamKiShaadi included cousins Kajol and Rani Mukerji.

Celebrities spotlight some of summer’s coolest wedding colours
Last night, Alia Bhatt walked into Sonam Kapoor-Ahuja and Anand Ahuja’s wedding reception with Ranbir Kapoor in a stunning chartreuse Sabyasachi lehenga that’s already on wedding wish lists all over the country. And as it turns out, Bhatt wasn’t the only wedding guest to play with fun, summery hues this week. While Jacqueline Fernandez, Janhvi Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor attended the Anand Karaj last afternoon in bright pink lehengas, Swara Bhasker picked an ultramarine Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla that was embroidered with red, pink, orange and green threads. That’s not all. If you love vibrant Indian ethnic wear, you cannot miss out on Khushi Kapoor’s yellow ensemble or Karisma Kapoor’s floral number.

Gauri Khan and Mira Rajput Kapoor ditch predictable lehengas
While lehengas will always be the go-to for Indian weddings, it doesn’t hurt to give other silhouettes a try once in a while. At #SonamKiShaadi, Gauri Khan stood out by ditching the party staple for a nude and black Tarun Tahiliani gown, and second time mom-to-be Mira Rajput Kapoor gave us all maternity style goals in a draped Anamika Khanna ensemble. Earlier in the day, Kareena Kapoor Khan was also seen partying with the couple in a practical baby pink Anita Dongre anarkali.

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Munna and Pundit discuss about the guests’ pickups. Munna asks Swati if she will come with him. She tells him she wants to talk in private but he pushes it for later. Sameer returns. Munna gifts him something and says honeymoon. Sameer repeats the word loudly. The girls have heard them too. They divert the topic. Munna goes aside with Swati. Sameer opens the envelope Voiceover – Sameer:I turn red even today whenever I think of that day. What could I have done? That age was like that. Munna and Pundit had shown me a dream which was too colorful. Bells started ringing in my mind after hearing that word. I had no idea I will get in trouble afterwards while calming down the bells ringing in my mind. Bela, Preeti, Naina and Phula Bua come to a shop to buy the special nightie. Naina and Preeti stare at the different styles of nightie hung on the mannequins. Bela hesitantly asks a shopkeeper to show them a special kind of nightie. She even points at one of the mannequins. He addresses them as heroines. They look at him in confusion. He shares that they have named the nighties as it catches everyone’s attention. He starts showing them the nighties. Sameer enters in the same shop just then. Bela asks for another design. A lady stands between Sameer and Naina so they cannot see each other. Shopkeeper asks Sameer what he wants. He points at the mannequin wearing nightie. Shopkeeper shows more nighties to Bela. Preeti asks Naina to call Sameer and ask for his suggestion. Sameer asks for pink nightie specifically. Shopkeeper is mumbling to himself. Kids have become so shameless these days. He has come to buy nightie for his wife on a ladies shop! He should have come with some woman only. Bela overhears it and calls the guy shameless too (without seeing who it is). Naina stares blankly at the nighties. Shopkeeper shows a pink nightie. Bela suggests Naina to buy a red one. It suits you very much. Naina asks her if it is important. I have enough night suits. Preeti tells her to buy one. Heroines wear them too. These are so soft. Sameer asks for light pink colour. Shopkeeper asks his colleague to show more nighties as per Sameer’s request. Preeti repeats his request in Naina’s ears. She turns to look at the guy and notices Sameer. Bela asks for her choice. She starts diverting her and the shopkeeper to show more. Bela says we have seen everything. Sameer looks around. Naina does not let Bela move from her place. Sameer notices the mannequin and selects that one. He loudly asks the shopkeeper to pack this one. Naina, Bela and Preeti stare in his direction in shock. He lies that he was buying a saree for Naina (holding a nightie in his hand). He throws it away and excuses himself. Shopkeeper shows him the pink one that he had requested for. This is what you wanted for your would-be wife right? The ladies stare at him blankly. Sameer runs out of the shop. Voiceover – Naina:My cheeks have turned red because of Chachi ji’s slaps in the past also but they turned extra red that day because of that incident. It was because back then it wasn’t an ordinary thing to do. Sameer returns stealthily to the shop to buy that nightie. Voiceover – Sameer:It is about the time when the stores were separate for ladies and gents. I was feeling embarrassed but I pushed that thought aside and bought that nightie stealthily. Next day, Naina is unable to hold back herself. Sameer tells her not to laugh too much. I just wanted to give you surprise. She continues teasing him and agrees not to smile but fails miserably. I was smiling more because of your expressions than the nightie incident. He stares at her pointedly. She agrees not to laugh again. You are so shameless. I thought you were simple. He replies that he was innocent. It was you who turned me naughty. He holds her hand. She asks him to let go and fools him by taking JBR’s name. He refuses to let go and inches closer. What if I had bought something? I am your wife. She reminds him that he is her would-be husband. Let’s go. We have to also distribute cards to everyone. Juhi is checking herself in the mirror when Arjun enters in the room calling out to Naina. He goes quiet for few seconds. They start talking. He gets lost for a while. She makes him compliment her dress. I have seen it somewhere before. She shares that it is Shefali’s. She has worn a similar one in an ad so I copied it. I don’t know if it is looking equally good on me or not. Arjun says it is looking way better on you. She asks him what she should wear in the wedding. He advises her to wear anything. You look good in everything. She decides to wear lehenga. It will be so much fun. I will enjoy it thoroughly. He smiles and leaves. Sameer and Naina gift JBR their wedding card. He agrees to come. The toppers of our college are going to marry after all. He calls it another one of his lame joke. They get to know that Principal Ma’am wont be in today. They offer him sweets when he cracks another bad joke. They also hand him their leave applications. They ask for 15 day leave. He reminds them that their exams are due next month. Carry your books with you on your honeymoon. Voiceover – Sameer:Naina and my love story was strange. Books dint leave us even on honeymoon. Voiceover – Naina:I was such a fool that I started making a list in my head already. Precap: Sameer asks Naina for a lip kiss. Update Credit to: Pooja
