Sel!! Hi, I hope you know that I adore you so much! 💜💜 August is August! It's the last of my time off before work starts up again so I have been lazing about like no other 😌 How has your August been?

On his hands! (Remembering the absolutely normal way I hunted for the scenes where he wasn't wearing gloves like a totally sane person). Specifically on the heel of his palm and/or the inside of his wrist. I could easily see people pressing kisses there for him, both as royalty and as a healer.

I'm deep in writing burnout so the thought of me writing anyone easiest seems... out of reach to me at the moment? But I will say that usually what comes easiest for me when writing characters is both understanding their inner monologue/motives and having a solid grasp on their voice. For the first part, I'd say I have Iwa, Joshua, and Kazuya in the bag, but with the latter two, I struggle with capturing their voice (this could be that I'm too in my head for it and have since intimidated myself out of doing it). But I found it easier in the past to write for Kenny Ackerman and Kuramochi Youichi, both because they're a bit louder and so it's almost like I can hear them as I write/plot.

5x21: “El Regreso de Miach Blackthorn”  —  3 años atrás.

Maeve, que ocupaba el asiento más cercano a la ventana, alzó la mano para interrumpir.

—Hay alguien subiendo por el camino hacia la puerta —informó—. De hecho, son varios.

Emma volvió a mirar a Jules. Era raro que alguien hiciera una visita no anunciada al Centro. Solo había unas cuantas personas que serían capaces, pero incluso la mayoría de los miembros del Cónclave habrían concertado una cita con Joshua, el director del Centro y en caso más importantes, con Gabe. Claro que alguien podía haber quedado con él. Aunque, por la expresión de Joshua, si ese era el caso, se trataba de una cita de la que él no sabía nada.

Maeve, que se había puesto en pie, soltó un bufido.

—¡Eh! —exclamó—, vengan a ver.

Todos corrieron hacia la larga ventana que había en la pared principal de la sala. Estaba situada al frente del Centro y daba al serpenteante camino que llevaba desde la puerta hasta la autovía que los separaba de la playa y el mar. El cielo estaba azul y sin nubes. El sol destellaba sobre las bridas de plata de los tres caballos, cada uno con un silencioso jinete montando a pelo.

—Hadas —dijo Maeve, y la palabra le salió con el tono seco del asombro.

Sin duda no se equivocaba. El primer caballo era negro y el jinete portaba una armadura negra que parecía de hojas quemadas. El segundo caballo era del mismo color y el jinete vestía una túnica en tono marfil. El tercer caballo era castaño y su jinete iba envuelto de pies a cabeza en un hábito con capucha del color de la tierra. Emma no podía decir si se trataba de un hombre o de una mujer, de un niño o de un adulto.

—«Y primero deja pasar a los caballos negros y luego dejan pasar los castaños» —murmuró Jules, citando un antiguo poema feérico—. Uno vestido de negro, otro de marrón, y el otro de blanco… Es una legación oficial. De las Cortes. —Julian miró a Joshua—. No sabía que Gabe tuviera una reunión con una legación de los seres mágicos. ¿Crees que se lo habrá dicho a la Clave?

Joshua negó con la cabeza, claramente perplejo.

—No lo sé. No me ha comentado nada.

Julian se tensó como un arco. Emma pudo notar cómo emanaba de él esa tensión. Una legación de los seres mágicos era algo serio y raro. La Clave tenía que conceder su permiso antes de poder mantener ninguna reunión con ellos. Aunque fuera con el Inquisidor.

—Joshua, tengo que ir.

Ceñudo, Joshua se dio unos golpecitos con la estela contra la palma de la mano y luego asintió.

—Muy bien. Adelante.

—Voy contigo. —Emma saltó del asiento de la ventana.

Julian, que ya se dirigía a la puerta, se detuvo y se dio la vuelta.

—No —dijo—. No pasa nada. Ya me ocupo yo.

Salió del aula. Por un momento, Emma permaneció inmóvil.

Normalmente, si Julian le hubiera dicho que no hacía falta que lo acompañara, o que tenía que hacer algo él solo, Emma no le habría dado más vueltas. A veces, las circunstancias hacían necesario que se separaran.

Pero la noche anterior había aumentado su sensación de intranquilidad. No sabía qué le pasaba a Jules. No sabía si no quería que estuviera con él, o sí quería pero estaba enfadado con ella, o consigo mismo, o ambas cosas.

Pero sabía que los seres mágicos eran peligrosos, y no iba a permitir de ninguna manera que Julian se enfrentase a ellos solo.

—Voy a ir —dijo, y fue hacia la puerta. Se detuvo para coger a Cortana, que colgaba de un gancho.

—Emma —dijo Joshua con una voz que transmitía mucho más—. Ten cuidado.

La última vez que habían entrado hadas en el Instituto fue para ayudar a Sebastian Morgenstern a arrancar el alma del cuerpo del padre de Julian. Y se habían llevado a Mark.

Emma había llevado a Tavvy y a Dru a un lugar seguro. Había ayudado a salvar las vidas de los hermanos pequeños de Julian. Se habían librado por los pelos.

Pero entonces Emma no llevaba tanto tiempo entrenándose. A los doce años no había matado ni a un solo demonio. No se había pasado años preparándose para luchar, matar y defender.

De ningún modo se iba a quedar atrás.

DC Comics Celebrates The 90s This November

DC Comics is all about the 90s. The company will celebrate the decade with the return of WildC.A.T.s, a Waller vs. WildStorm mini-series, a WildStorm 30th Anniversary Special, Batman / Spawn: The Classic Collection, and 90s themed variant covers in November.

WildC.A.T.s are getting a new on-going series from writer Matthew Rosenberg and artist Stephen Segovia, which will spin out from Batman: Urban Legends. The HALO Corporation gathers a crew under the leadership of Cole “Grifter” Cash that will have to work together in the shadows to make the world a better place...no matter who they gotta kill. Too bad they are about to cross paths with The Court of Owls.

WildC.A.T.s #1 features a cover by Stephen Segovia, variant covers by Jim Lee, Stanley “Artgerm” Lau, and Ben Oliver, 1:25 connecting variant cover by Jeff Spokes, 1:50 variant cover by Alan Quah, 1:100 variant cover by Dan Hipp, 1:150 pencil variant by Jim Lee, and a ‘90s Cover Month variant by Brett Booth and Sandra Hope. The comic goes on sale on November 8, 2022.

Waller vs. WildStorm is a four-issue mini-series for DC’s Black Label from writers Spencer Ackerman and Evan Narcisse and artist Eric Battle. During the ‘80s Cold War intelligence agency Checkmate is pulled in two directions. On one side is the public face of the agency Jackson King, aka The Armored Battalion, former leader of Stormwatch. One the other side is Adeline Kane, whom King suspects is engineering horrors. Unknown to King, Kane also has a new ally, young Amanda Waller, who has her own ideas as to how metahumans can serve their country without worrying about all that pesky honor, dignity, and long lives.

Waller vs. WildStorm #1 (of 4) features a main cover by Jorge Fornés, a variant cover by Eric Battle, and a 1:25 variant cover by Mike Perkins. The comic goes on sale on November 15, 2022.

WildStorm 30th Anniversary Special #1 is a 100 page special issue that pays homage to Jim Lee’s WildStorm Productions. The special will reprint, in periodical form, short stories from WildStorm: A Celebration of 25 Years hardcover as well as now stories featuring WildStorm characters in the DC line, charting their future in the DCU. The special hails from creators Jim Lee, Matthew Rosenberg, Joshua WIlliamson, Brandon Choi, J. Scott Campbell, Brett Booth, Ed Brisson, Bryan Hitch, and more.

DC is reprinting Doug Moench, Chuck Dixon, Alan Grant, and Klaus Janson’s Batman / Spawn: War Devil #1 and Frank Miller and Todd McFarlane’s Spawn / Batman into a single collection titled Batman / Spawn: The Classic Collection.

Beyblade Burst x Darling In The Franxx AU

So I’ve had this idea in mind for nearly a year now and finally decided to share it with you all! I hope you all like it! ((By the way, this AU does not have a happy ending so... sorry in advance))

In this AU, the characters are all apart of The Nines. The members of The Nines are Valt Aoi, Shu Kurenai, Sisco Karlisle, Cuza Ackerman, Wakiya Murasaki, Rantaro Kiyama, and Joushua Boon.

Everyone in The Nines are all clones of another member they have never met before and all posses a unique number “name” that was given to them at the timing of their cloning. As  The Nine’s developed they were given high levels of yellow blood cells each week in order to maintain a stable health. 

When the group is finally able to go into battle as stamen and pistil’s, a new member is added to the group. The new member turn out to be Free De La Hoya.

Free is welcomed into the group with open arms, however, he doesn’t exactly return the welcome. He tends to keep to himself and only ever talks to Valt when they are alone. When the group does go to battle the members can team up with anyone of their choosing and are able to operate as both stamen and pistils. Shu and Valt tend to pair up a majority of the time, but on occasion Free and Valt pair up. ((A lot of mixed pairs happen when operating a Franxx as well as a lot of ship interactions.)) -- One by one, members start to die off. Some die from sustaining major injuries and some from being from illness’.The Nine’s are never allowed to intermix with other teams outside their facilities. As a result, no new members are ever added on after Free, which leaves The Nines at a big disadvantage when in battle.

By the end of this AU, only Free, Shu, Valt, and Sisco remain.

The Klaxosuar Princess by now, has captured the four and forces them into entering a war with VIRM. Both Sisco and Shu oppose of entering the war and are killed off by The Klaxosuar Princess on the spot, leaving Free and Valt to join the war out of fear. When Free and Valt go into battle with the rest of the Klaxosuar’s and The Klazxosuar Princess they make sure to protect each other as best as they can... Which ends up doing more harm then good. In the end a VIRM destroys their Franxx((Klaxosuar)) and Free and Valt are killed instantly. 

The war rages even without The Nine’s around until the Klaxosuar’ s are all eliminated. VIRM has won and eventually return to Earth, allowing for the next set of life to try and stop them. Which unfortunately... are the kids from Beyblade Burst S4/Gachi))
