Virus i bataljonen (2009) [👍🔁🎭]
Werewolf in a Girls' Dormitory / Lycanthropus (1961) [📺]

how do you feel about mystery games and scifi?
I love both!
I just went through all of Rise of the Golden Idol just recently, even though I'm not the best at it (Sometimes I have no idea what's going on...) and I've played Disco Elysium to conclusion twice. I wish I could play Obra Dinn, but the art style hurts my eyes. I've also enjoyed the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney trilogy (haven't gotten 4-6 yet, waiting for another sale) and The Great Ace Attorney duology so far, and Professor Layton, though it's more of a puzzle game thing, is forever one of my favorite series. I play hidden objects games too, and more than a few puzzle games on top of that.
As for sci-fi, I've always been a giant fan-- From Josh Kirby: Time Warrior to Doctor Who, I grew up on it. When it comes to games, I'd add in Portal (one of my hyperfixations), Day of the Tentacle, and Don't Escape (though it's more 3 and 4 that are sci-fi), and I've even played a bit of AI: the Somnium Files and 2064, though other games got in my way. Oh, and even the old Hitchhikers Guide text adventure! Holy frick the babelfish puzzle sucks.
The only games I don't play for myself much are FPS, battle royale, and horror. Even then, I'll still watch playthroughs or analysis videos just to see what they're like. Especially horror games-- I love stuff like Until Dawn, Silent Hill, and Alan Wake, but I could never play them myself. I'm just fascinated by horror, though I always need a buffer between me and the thing itself.
#ask response#anon#the owl posts#games#i have a LOT of games i love tbh#though mostly I've been playing house flipper and platformers and such#i still love things like IHNMaIMS but I can't find how i could play it myself#so ill just enjoy analyses of it :3#thanks for the fun question!!

One-On-One with Writer and Producer Eric Miller
Event Date: Saturday, December 8, 2018 || Speaker: Eric Miller || Check-in: 12:30 pm ||
This event is with a Writer and Producer who will discuss a variety of topics, including: writing strong characters, creating a compelling premise and/or story, finding your voice, script development, working on past shows and much more.
You could say that writer Eric Miller has just about done it all in his nearly 30 year career in Hollywood. His produced screenplay credits include NIGHT SKIES, THE SHADOW MEN, MASK MAKER, SWAMP SHARK, and the SyFy Channel hit ICE SPIDERS, which was said by the Hollywood Reporter to be “…first rate entertainment.”
Miller was also hired to write a number of screenplays that are currently in development, including DOG SOLDIERS II for Kismet Entertainment and MIDNIGHT CARNIVAL for Director/FX Artist Roy Knyrim. Miller has also done uncredited rewrites for films such as COUGAR HUNTING, has optioned spec screenplays such as HUNTERS and BLOOD & SILVER, and has been hired by various companies to write script outlines and treatments.
On the other side of the keyboard, Miller was the head of production and development for Raw Nerve, working with founders Eli Roth, John Penotti, Boaz Yakin and Scott Spiegel to create and produce a slate of horror films that included 2001 MANIACS, starring Robert Englund and Lin Shaye, and HOSTEL. He was also the head of development for the cult favorite direct-to-video company Cinema Home Video.
Miller produced the award-winning Texas Noir thriller BROKE SKY, said by the Daily Variety to be “…an exceptional example of American regional indie filmmaking,” as well as the horror film KNIFEPOINT, among many other films. As a staff producer for Full Moon Entertainment, he supervised a number of films shooting in the U.S., Mexico, Italy, and Eastern Europe such as BEANSTALK, PRIMEVALS, TEENIE WEENIES, JOSH KIRBY: TIME WARRIOR, MAGIC ISLAND, and many other films.

Miller has also worked in a number of other key positions in film production over the years. As a Transportation Coordinator he has worked with Liam Neeson on the TAKEN series, Matthew McConaughey on SURFER DUDE, Director Rick Famuyiwa on DOPE and CONFIRMATION, Sofia Coppola on BLING RING, Roman Coppola and Charlie Sheen on CHARLES SWAN III, and over 40 other film and TV shows. He is also a respected Production Manager, working on such genre films and TV series such as MIAMI MAGMA and MONSTER WOLF for the SyFy Channel and THE NEW ADVENTURES OF ROBIN HOOD for Warner Bros. International Television.
Outside of the movie industry, Miller is a book publisher, editor, and fiction writer. Under his Big Time Books imprint, Miller edited and published the Bram Stoker Award nominated anthology HELL COMES TO HOLLYWOOD, its imaginatively titled sequel HELL COMES TO HOLLYWOOD II, and the trucking horror anthologies 18 WHEELS OF HORROR and 18 WHEELS OF SCIENCE FICTION.
His zombie comedy short story “Culling the Herd” made Ellen Datlow’s BEST HORROR OF THE YEAR’s rec list, his horror short “The Patch” appeared in the anthology HALLOWEEN TALES he contributed a chapter on screenwriting to HORROR 201: THE SILVER SCREAM, and his poem “I Haunt This Place” was in the HORROR WRITERS ASSOCIATION POETRY SHOWCASE 2017. Miller is an Active member of the HWA.
Miller lives in Los Angeles, but works on location more often than not. In his spare time, he reads voraciously, writes occasionally, and loves movies of all types, though he has a soft spot for Godzilla movies and romantic comedies.

Curse of the Ring / Ring of the Nibelungs (2004) [👍🔁] Klart bättre än mycket som släpps inom fantasyn idag.
Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters (2013) [👍🔁]
Happiness Cage, the / the Mind Snatchers (1972) [👎📺🆓] Konstig film med en del intressanta idéer, men knappast värd att sitta av.
Hercules Against the Moon Men / Maciste e la regina di Samar (1964) [👍📺🆓]
Hjältarna vid Troja / La guerra di Troia (1961) [📺🆓]
Hjälten från Marathon / La battaglia di Maratona (1959) [📺🆓]
Josh Kirby… Time Warrior: Chapter 5, Journey to the Magic Cavern (1996) [👍🔁📺🆓]
Josh Kirby… Time Warrior: Chapter 6, Last Battle for the Universe (1996) [👍🔁📺🆓]
Sword of Venus (1953) [📺🆓]
Tyrannernas Borg / Saracen Blade, the (1954) [👍📺🆓] Riktigt bra swashbuckler. Rekomenderas.
Men Curse of the Ring / Ring of the Nibelungs, Tyrannernas Borg / Saracen Blade och Voyage of the Rock Aliens är väl värda att kika in om man inte vill sitta av hela listan.

Why can I imagine Hollis ranting about the Magic School Bus?
Because she would. (Especially the new version-- She doesn't like the new version at all.) But she does it because she loves the series, and likely has a lot of opinions on how it could be done better.
Kinda like me with things I used to like. Like, say, there's this show I watched as a kid called Josh Kirby: Time Warrior! and looking back? it's completely shlocky trash. But you know what? I still love it
That's the vibes she gives me about it. You love it even though it's not the best because you just. Care about it.
