Jealousy - Liefje, do you agree to become completely mine?
Joost Klein × fem!reader.
Warnings: Aggression and jealousy. Kisses! Non-canonical behavior. I don't know English/maybe there are a lot of mistakes. This is my first post!
Summary: You and Joost are best friends. You meet another guy backstage at Joost's concert. Joost is jealous and angry... Aggression/jealousy and resentment...
♡♡♡
The beats of the music are passing through your body in waves. Your eyes are watering from how fast the floodlights on the stage are flashing while you are hiding behind the scenes. Your eyes are glued to the dancing Joost, he shouts something loudly in front of the his fans and raises his hands up in response to the cheers.
A slight smile appears on your lips when he picks up a water bottle standing on the edge of the stage and after taking a few sips pours the water over his head. It's damn hot outside and even though he's wearing a T-shirt and shorts, his body is covered in sticky sweat anyway and his blond hair sticks out in different directions.
You met Joost quite a long time ago, even before his first tour and before he became so popular. But fortunately, even with the advent of his fame, he did not forget about you. You often went with him to his concerts and came to his studio where he recorded his songs, you even starred in one of his videos…
Your heart started beating faster when you looked back at Joost, kneeling in front of a crowd of his fans. Something turned over in your stomach from how fast he was moving, how he was imitating… explicit movements. You wanted to bring your legs together because of a pleasantly aching feeling. But you couldn't do it. Or rather, you didn't dare, because Joost turned his head in your direction, repeating this vulgar movement with his pelvis, and grinned when he saw how you looked away. Fortunately, from a distance, he couldn't see how red your face was.
Joost is your best friend, and you can't feel the way you feel about him right now. You just can't. Firstly, because it is wrong in relation to your friendship. And secondly, because you were sure that Joost wouldn't reciprocate, he's not that kind of person. Joost could flirt with anyone, could grope, of course, by mutual consent. He could even kiss someone if the person didn't mind. But he never kissed you, never touched you, and never touched you with more meaning than as a friend. Only you. But it was for the best, otherwise you weren't sure you could hold back your feelings.…
You turned around with your arms crossed over your chest. The concert was already coming to an end, there were one or two songs left, so you hurried to the back of the stage to wait for Yost there. But, thoughtfully looking around, you did not notice the man approaching you and crashed into him.
— Oh! — a surprised exclamation burst out of your chest. You should check where you're going more often. — Excuse me!
— No need to apologize. I was lucky that such a beautiful angel crashed into me. — the guy said with a sweet smile. You recognized him almost immediately. It was Marcus, one of the interns helping on the tour. You met him a few days ago in the dressing room when he was helping the staff, then you had coffee and chatted a little…
— I… oh...... Thank you… — you began hesitantly, embarrassed by the compliment. You looked at the guy: black hair, brown eyes, tanned skin, shirt and jeans, nothing special. No tattoos, no fancy hairstyle, no accessories of any kind. The exact opposite of Joost. But honestly, you're not upset about it. You needed a distraction a long time ago. Otherwise, you might go crazy soon. A playful smile appeared on your lips. — You're that guy from the dressing room — Marcus, right?
— Yes, and you are that pretty girl — T/n. — Marcus nodded affirmatively, smiling in response. Sparkling and without a grin, as Joost always did. But still, his gaze slid over your body, tight jeans and T-shirt. His smile widened, and there was something dangerous in it. You didn't care what it meant, because right now you just wanted to take your mind off Joost.
— That's right. — you answered, squinting, looking into Marcus's brown eyes with a half smile. — Listen, would you like to have coffee with me again sometime? Relax and unwind? — you asked decisively, licking your dry lips. A drop of sweat rolled down your back. It seems Marcus didn't take your offer quite right:
— How can I refuse a date to a girl like that? Especially with… — his voice trembled, Marcus cast a casual glance at your chest and moved closer to you. — I think you should relax in my car, it's been a busy day, we could have some privacy there… — the brunette grunted vulgarly, and you suddenly felt uncomfortable. He wasn't the exact opposite of Joost, but he was someone much worse. Marcus moved closer to you, wanting to hug you around the waist, but you almost jumped back in fright, now you didn't want to relax or rest.
— Today? — you drawled uncertainly. — I'm not sure what… — you mumbled in embarrassment. Your eyes darted from side to side in search of something that could save you now. It was a shame that you suggested it yourself, wanted it yourself, and now you were running away in fright… You've always done that.
You got goosebumps between your shoulder blades. Someone was looking at you, but before you could turn around, someone's hand was on your shoulder. You were yanked to the side, hugging your neck with the bend of your elbow, pressing you against a wet, sticky body. It was Joost. You realized this when, out of surprise, you put your palms on his ribs. Under his translucent white wet T-shirt sticking to his skin, prominent muscles showed. It was… The tips of your ears were on fire, but the scariest thing happened when you raised your head…
Someone else's lips touched your lips sharply, greedily and brazenly. You opened your eyes dazedly, but Joost looked sideways while sweetly running his tongue over your closed lips, wanting to penetrate inside. You tried to push him away, but he held you even tighter. His piercing, ice-like eyes darted to you, and his lips stretched into a smile during the kiss. In a dangerous grin.
— Lieverd?(sweetie) — Joost grinned, casting a questioning glance at you, you noticed discontent in him. He was tense. Then the blond man looked at Marcus again with more menace. The guy cowered under Joost's icy, menacing gaze. — I've only left you for a couple of hours, and you're already flirting with some vulgar intern? Am I not enough for you? — he sang sarcastically, pulling you even closer, forcing you to bury your face in his shoulder. Joost smelled of sweat, dirt, something muscular and something else… tickling your receptors, which made your knees buckle. Your fingers are intertwined, and your nails are digging into his skin. You could still feel his angry kiss on your lips.
— I… — frowning, offended by Joost's words, Marcus wanted to object, but did not have time, because Joost immediately shushed him in his own manner, clicking his tongue. He looked at the brunette contemptuously, and he had to close his mouth. It's the first time you've seen your best friend… is it right to call him that now? Is this the first time you've seen him jealous? Exactly. Joost would never allow himself to humiliate someone for no reason if that person is a stranger to him. Only if he was very annoyed, upset or very angry about something. Joost was. The hand on your shoulder tightened, his rough fingers stroked your cheekbone, and you snuggled closer to Joost, feeling goosebumps running through your body.
— Boy, can you leave us alone? I need to chat with my girlfriend. — the blond man casually rolled his eyes, thrusting his free palm into the pocket of his trousers. You were still silent, not knowing what to say, your head was empty, too empty.
Marcus just nodded and tried to escape as quickly as possible, probably offended and a little humiliated by the fact that he was flirting with the girlfriend of an artist at whose concert he was moonlighting as an intern. A moment after you were alone with Joost, you were abruptly moved and pressed against the hard surface of a brick wall. Your breath was taken away and your chest tightened. It was shameful to admit that his jealousy, although it was unclear for what reason, caused butterflies to flutter in your stomach. Especially that angry look in his blue eyes, the way he was breathing fast and how his chest was heaving, and perhaps how wet, disheveled bangs fell on his high forehead, or how he towered over you with a direct threat and how his big palms squeezed your forearms not allowing you to escape. You were in a cage, but you liked it, even though you looked confused.
— Naughty girl, — Joost bent down and scorched your flushed face with his hot breath, you cringed and tried to instinctively move, but the blond immediately put his knee between your legs, tilting his head sideways and grunting: — You will not escape.
— Joost, I don't understand what… — you began to mumble, not daring to look into his eyes, but immediately the blond squeezed your chin, demanding to look only at him, pressing on you with his whole body. You're lying when you say you didn't like it.
— You all understand what love is, — Joost laughed low and hoarsely, licking his dry lips, you glanced at them, and he lifted the corners of his lips in a grin. — Did you want to make me jealous? Nervous? — he chattered, bending over your red ear. You felt something tighten in your lower abdomen, and instinctively clamped Yost's leg between your hips. He noticed this action by casting a gloomy glance down, swinging his knee and immediately returning his gaze to your flushed face. «You did it, girl. I was insanely jealous and I was ready to hit this freak just for coming up to you. Yost whined out loud, pressing his wet torso against you, wanting intimacy. His nerves and hormones were running high, his fists itched, and God knows what else… You swallowed, turning away guiltily, but then frowned. A bitter realization came.
— We are not dating and we are not a couple. You didn't have to… — you muttered discontentedly, turning away. And really, what does he think he is, to take and kiss you like that, to threaten… Joost's grip became tighter, the heat between your thighs became more and more difficult to contain. You wanted to cry and hit Joost so hard at the same time.… He's such a jerk, but you'd hate yourself for any of these actions. You already hated yourself for loving him.
— I don't care. — the singer immediately grumbled jealously through his teeth, lowering his palm to your neck, wrapping his fingers around it as if wanting to squeeze it harder. You liked the contrast. Joost liked to keep you in check, to himself. — You're mine. — he chuckled, bending down to your temple, smearing his lips on the edge of your ear. — I just haven't had time to propose to you yet, he said casually. — you frowned in surprise, what, what proposal?! A proposal? What?!
Joost ran his tongue over his teeth. You knocked him off balance, made him feel a nagging pain in his chest. When he saw some freak flirting with you, making vulgar jokes and offering you privacy... he snapped. Joost would have killed him if you'd agreed to go with that damn Marcus in his car. In truth, it was his mistake that you still aren't dating. He just wasn't sure he could be a good guy for you. Even if he's a bad guy, he can't watch others want you anymore. You were beautiful, and Joost was so damn selfish, so he didn't care. He doesn't care about others because you're his girl, no one else can touch you.
— Liefje(my love), do you agree to become completely mine? — He croaked... knowing the answer damn well…

Hiii, I'm LOVING how you write Joost! Would you mind writing an
Jealous
Joost?, like, he's this chill, funny dude 99.99999% percent of the time but maybe, on a bad day perhaps? He gets jealous of a guy, maybe friend from work who got *too* close, or a friend of yours whom you've been spending too much time with him?
In my personal opinion, joost would be the type of clingy jealous, who would want cuddles and reassurance.
Feel free to ignore this if you want!!!
🍨
😲 A/n: I skipped a lot of other's requests just because of this one. I LOVE jelous prompts.

Joost leaned back in his chair, a smirk playing on his lips as he cracked another joke, effortlessly charming everyone around him. He was the epitome of chill, always the life of the party. But today, something felt off. And it was because of that guy.
He watched you chat carelessly with Mark from work, his easy smile faltered just a fraction. Mark was a nice guy, sure, but lately, he seemed to be encroaching on Joost's territory. Maybe it was the way Mark's laughter mingled with yours a little too easily, or how he seemed to always find a reason to linger around you.
Joost tried to shake off the feeling, reminding himself that you were just friends with Mark. But as the evening wore on, his jokes became a bit more forced, his laughter a touch more strained.
And when Mark suggested grabbing drinks after work tomorrow, Joost's grip on his beer tightened just a little too much, his smile now tinged with a hint of jealousy. That was his last straw.
"Drinks with Mark, huh? Sounds like a blast." Joost said, his tone a mix of sarcasm and bitterness. He tried to mask his jealousy with humor, but the tension in the air was palpable.
You glanced at Joost, eyebrows raised in surprise at his sudden change in demeanor. He caught your gaze and quickly plastered on a fake smile, but the unease lingered.
"What is that? Are you jealous?" You asked because you never had the opportunity to see Joost jealous. Never.
"Me? Jealous? Hahah...no." He muttered the last part. Of course you knew he was jealous, everyone could see it on him.
"Yeah, sure, so you won't mind it then, right?" That was a trap and he knew it, but he also didn't want you, his girlfriend, to go somewhere with this guy named Mark.
"Yeah, I would have mind. Don't go near him." Joost said and sat extremely close to you. He put his arms around you and started giving you light kisses. Showing everyone that you're his. Not Mark's, but His.
"I won't." You laughed, "I was just teasing you." You pointed out as his kisses were tickling you.
"I know, but don't do that." Joost answered and threw an angry face to Mark. And let's just say that Mark didn't brothered you for the rest of the night, and if he did, Joost was here to remind him who was in charge.

You're Overcomplicating Things . . -> Jealous!Joost Klein x Reader
The buzzing of Joost's phone wakes him with a start.
His head turns a bit to the side, slowed from exhaustion. Joost's vision is still catching up with him, the living room gauzed in a radial blur; he feels like he’s wading through quicksand — dragging himself to sit up, before his arm catches another body. You're curled onto the left side of the bed, unmoving — the pillow your arm was wrapped around having ended up on the floor. There’s a spot of drool on your hoodie, plush lips tugged along the bold Eurovision logo of your sleeve.
“Morning,” Joost mumbles, patting the cushions for his phone. His voice is groggy, scratched dry from the shitty beers you two had downed the night before. He grimaces at the spit webbed on the top of his mouth, flicks at it with his tip of tongue in disgust. He moves to gently push at your leg; it’s hot, too hot for you to lounge this close; there’s a pool of sweat sinking into the crook of his chest — he feels gross, sticky, uncomfortable. There's a heavy silence in the air. It feels like you did something wrong, but you can't place your finger on it. You stir in response, a whine of annoyance rumbling from your throat. You blink over to see what Joost's all worked up about, who’s grabbing his phone from the nightstand, pinching at his forehead.
"Good morning — what's wrong?" You're still waking up, clearing the spit from your throat. Biting back a cough, you manage to sit up, pressing on the wrinkles from your shirt.
Joost offers you a tired smile, moving to kiss your forehead. "Long day ahead, right? Hop to it." A bit of enthusiasm pokes out of his voice as the words die out, his lips trailing to your jaw, pressing into it. It feels like he's hiding from you, even when he's slotted into your side like a puzzle piece, lazily tracing his fingers against your hip.
He's sulking, the boy-shape trying to disappear into your skin, upset and loathing.
Your fingers find his curls, gently raking your nails across his scalp. He makes a noise of satisfaction, face nestling closer to your collarbone.
You would know his envious touches through death. There were small, red marks around your waist where he had been pressing into it, marking you, yet.. gentle. Apologetically, he rubbed his thumb over them, turning his face from you.
"Joost," you sigh, "you think it's stupid," he perks up. "Right? That's why you won't tell me."
His bottom lip is caught between his teeth. "Your makeup, it looked good yesterday. The new artist. Good." Joost fixates on the blanket under you both, looking anywhere but at you. "Good connection."
"Good connection?" He's already kissing the words from your mouth, stealing them from you. If he took them, then he wouldn't have to hear you say them. Listen to you accuse him — be disappointed. "Joost, let me," you're tired of this game already, and he's holding you like he can't get enough, arms tightly wrapped around your waist. You can feel the tense of panic in him, cold throughout his veins, a tremble to his grip.
You're prying his fingers away — careful, soft, not like a punishment. A warning. "You need to talk to me."
Joost is quiet for a minute. He's thinking. His uncomfortable grin is full of teeth, ones that graze on your irritability, biting into you like a peach. He doesn’t wipe the juice from his mouth — instead lets it dry on his chin, picking at the stain. A rash of his own, festering nerves.
He sits up. Joost's tank hugs his figure. His hair is coiffed into loose, blonde strands of fray, kissing the back of his neck — bouncing when he tilts his head. He frowns. You wrap your arm around his shoulder, keeping him afloat.
"You do not rehearse today, yes?" Joost asks after a bit. You want to make a remark about how you have his schedule memorized, everything written down on your phones, laid out for him — it's a little mean. He doesn't need it right now.
Swinging your legs to the side of his bed, you nod. "Not today, yeah. You want me to come hang out with you?"
Joost nods, a little too fast.
You kiss the side of his head, pulling him back into your chest. "You need to tell me when you're upset. Even if you think I'm gonna get mad, or, I don't know — weirded out."
"I love you." You hum into shoulder. You're ghosting the pad of your thumb against his cheekbone. He looks satisfied, curling back into you.
Joost tangles your fingers. You know how this goes.
"I love you too."
Thanks for reading!

You should write Mel a thank you note, really. For one because she always lets you crash at her place whenever you visit Berlin (which happens to be very frequently, actually) but also for tagging along to her party nights with her Berlin friends which also include the famous German rapper Ski Aggu and his dutch friend Joost who you couldn't seem to keep your eyes from. Ever since you first met last time you were in Berlin (which was only three weeks ago) you were crushing on the man - hard. And suddenly you were pretending you knew more about music than you actually did just so you could try to hold a conversation with Joost. And you stepped out one time too many to smoke a cigarette with him when you usually smoked maybe two cigarettes within one year. And overthinking whatever you should wear to go out with Mel and all her friends without even knowing if Joost was gonna be there that evening as well.
And when you decided to visit Mel again just three weeks after having been the last time ("Already?"), maybe Joost was a deciding factor as well. You didn't even know if he was gonna be in Berlin around the same time as well but you were in luck when you and Mel walked into the bar and you could see Joost's figure sitting beside Aggu. You tried to play it cool as you greeted everyone and finally got to Joost.
"So nice to see you again," you said earnestly as you both hugged.
"Likewise," Joost said and gently rubbed your back. You hoped that he wasn't just being polite and actually remembered you.
You were also in luck when there was a free spot beside Joost which you could take as you tried to casually open a conversation with him, talking about whatever the two of you had been up to in the last few weeks. You talked about his hometown, your hometown, why you were visiting Berlin so often and how you were thinking of moving here. You could tell that Joost was taking interest in the conversation and by extension you, but it wasn't enough for you. You knew that you wanted Joost in other ways and you wondered how and if you could persuade him of you.
"I'm getting a new drink," you announced. "Does anybody want anything?" you asked and hoped Joost would say something or offer to come with you to the bar.
"Actually, I'll go with you," Ski Aggu offered instead.
"Alright," you smiled and you two headed off to the bar.
The bar was incredibly crowded and you could already tell that you would have to wait a while until the bartender would get around to take your orders. You leaned against the counter.
"So, does Joost visit here often?" you asked and immediately regretted it as it came out way too obsessively as you had intended to. Aggu laughed.
"Why do you want to know?" he asked amused.
"I don't know, just because I don't live here as well," you tried to casually explain.
"Yeah, well, he's working on new music currently, so he comes here a lot," Aggu said and paused as he seemed to contemplate for a moment. "Joost is cute, right?" he tested you. Blood rushed to your head.
"I suppose," you shrugged nonchalantly.
"Nah, come on, he's very cute, we can agree on that," Aggu pushed jokingly.
"I imagine most girls would agree," you said.
"Maybe, but I'm talking about you," Aggu said and poked your shoulder as he said the last word. "Do you think he's cute?" he asked again. "Or sexy or dreamy or whatever?"
"Yeah, I think Joost is very cute," you blushed. "Is it obvious?" you asked.
"Well, I think Mel mentioned how you're not a smoker when we first met and suddenly Joost is here and all of a sudden you're out with him for a smoke every hour or so," he teased and you hid your face behind your hands in embarrassment.
"Oh god," you groaned.
"Nah, come on, it doesn't matter," Aggu said. "Nothing to be embarrassed about," he insisted and removed your hands from in front of your face.
"Yeah, but Joost definitely doesn't like me," you explained with a saddened expression on your face. Aggu raised an eyebrow.
"How do you know that?" he inquired.
"I don't know, I just feel like he's deliberately treating me like a friend, you know, in a very platonic way only," you tried to explain. "Like he's very persistent about me just being a friend - if that," you said. Aggu looked sceptical.
"Listen, I don't know if Joost likes you back but I do know that he's a little awkward about flirting and expressing his feelings and whatever," he said. "He might need a little help to push him along," Aggu said with a knowing smile. You looked at him with a confused expression on your face. "You can say no to this if you want, but I have an idea for us," Aggu said and you nodded, indicating for him to keep going. "What if we both do a little thing to make Joost jealous?" Aggu proposed and your heart started racing.
"What do you mean?" you asked.
"Let's just try for tonight to spend a lot of time together, laughing a lot, sitting very close to each other, touching, flirting and just rubbing it in Joost's face that you're having a great time with me?" Aggu explained. "In fact, I saw Joost looking over at us standing here a few times already," Aggu pointed out and you looked over to the table where all your friends were sitting and as your gaze crossed Joost's eyes he immediately averted the gaze and looked in another direction. "We've got nothing to lose, either way the outcome, we'll just have a fun evening together," Aggu concluded.
You contemplated Aggu's idea for a second before you decided that he was right - you had nothing to lose. Aggu obviously was a nice and handsome guy so you wouldn't mind having a fun evening with him as well.
"Alright, it's a deal," you said with a smile and extended your hand before Aggu took it for a handshake.
"Alright, let's start with me buying you a drink," Aggu grinned and moved to stand closer to you. You casually rested your hand on Aggus bicep as you kept talking until the bartender finally took both of your orders.
"Is this okay?" Aggu asked as his arm wrapped around your waist to hold you.
"Yes," you said and you wondered whether Joost could see you right now, what he would feel at the sight of you two being so close to one another. "Thanks for the drink," you said and cheered your cup to Aggu's after you got your drinks.
"Scoot over," Aggu directed Joost as you got back to your table. You could read a confused expression on Joost's face for just a second before he darted his eyes back and forth between you and Aggu quickly. As Joost moved over from his spot Aggu could now sit beside him and you could take your seat beside Aggu.
As you were talking with Aggu you made an effort to seem careless and laugh at every joke he made, softly grazing his arm if the chance occurred or bite your lips as you watched his face. It took everything in you to look to the left of Aggu to check on Joost. You were so desperate to see whether he was fazed by your spiel. But you knew you needed to ignore him for the time being. Aggu took the biggest leap so far when he casually wrapped his arm around your shoulders to bring you closer to him as you giggled.
"Alright, I'm going for a smoke," Joost announced almost immediately after. Aggu's arm dropped from your shoulder as you both had to move over to let Joost out of the booth. After Joost got out he stood there for a moment looking down at you with a blank expression. Did he wait for you to join him for a cigarette as you always had in the past? Surely not, you thought before Joost turned around to get outside alone.
~
Joost leaned against the wall outside as his cigarette was slowly nearing its end. Usually, you would be leaning against the wall beside him as well and he would intently listen to whatever story you were telling him, always grateful that you were so good at making conversation. If it weren't for that fact you might as well would have never talked to each other. And although Joost tended to be a little quieter around you, he was hanging onto every word you said. The truth is, Joost was a little shy around you because you mattered to him. Because he liked you, he was way too afraid to mess something up. So he stood back instead.
But now he was cursing himself for doing so. Because apparently now you had enough of him and instead you were attached at the hip with Aggu. And the situation was made worse by the fact that Aggu was Joost's friend. He was annoyed at Aggu for snatching you away from him but he knew he shouldn't feel angry and instead be happy for his friend.
Joost flicked his cigarette to the ground and stumped it out before he decided to get back inside. As he looked over to the table where you and your friends sat he caught your gaze. You were sitting on Aggu's lap, your arm wrapped around his shoulders. Joost stood still, the sight really making him not want to sit back down beside you. Aggu leaned into you and whispered something into your ear as you were still looking over at Joost who couldn't hide the sad expression on his face.
Joost felt uncomfortable and looked down at his phone before he decided to step out again instead of sitting back down at the table. Time for another cigarette or just maybe go back home already. As Joost lit the cigarette in his hand, the door to the bar opened again and you stepped out into the cold.
"Hey," you said softly.
"Hey," Joost replied with a nod. "Want one?" he asked and held out his hand with his pack of cigarettes. Your arms were crossed in front of your body because of the temperature. You looked down at his offer before you declined.
"You know I usually don't smoke," you admitted.
"Really?" Joost asked with a raise of an eyebrow. "That's news to me," Joost said although it really shouldn't come as a surprise to him as he noticed that you never carried your own pack of cigarettes.
"I know," you laughed. "Are you having a good evening?" you asked.
"Not really," Joost admitted honestly.
"How come?" you asked and Joost didn't answer. Instead, he just shrugged as if it wasn't a big deal. You could feel an aura of sadness radiating from him and you suddenly felt really bad for the spiel you and Aggu had been doing tonight. Although you still didn't know how Joost felt about you, you wondered if you had somehow contributed to his bad mood tonight.
"How long are you staying in Berlin for?" Joost asked after he released a puff of smoke.
"Another two days," you said. "You?" you asked in return.
"'M leaving next week," Joost said. "You should come back soon," Joost tried nonchalantly, giving you a sign that he cared about you in some way.
"You think?" you said with a smile.
"Yeah, you're fun to have around," Joost said.
"Well, I'm sorry if I haven't been around you tonight a lot," you said earnestly.
"It's fine," Joost said. If he had the confidence of Aggu, Joost would only have to take one step forward to engulf you in a kiss. "Can't blame Aggu," he said and immediately realised the implication of his words. He looked up at you again and saw a smirk on your face.
"You know me and Aggu aren't actually-," you tried to explain. "We're just friends," you said and Joost could feel a blush creeping on his face.
"Oh?" Joost said.
"Yeah, I'm interested in someone else actually," you said.
"Oh," Joost stated.
"If only he would notice already," you said and looked Joost deeply in the eyes.
"Maybe he's too shy," Joost offered.
"He doesn't have to be," you said and stepped towards Joost. You reached out for his hand and took the cigarette before you put it to your mouth to take a drag. As you let it fall to the floor Joost slowly and carefully reached out his arm to your hip without actually laying his hand on there. You stepped just a little closer until his hand touched your hip and you were standing so close you had to look up to him. "He could just kiss me," you said and it wasn't long before Joost leaned down, his hand finding the back of your neck, and his lips attached to yours.
You approvingly hummed into the kiss. Joost's lips tasted of beer and smoke but it was a divine taste to you as your lips started moving against each other in sync. You rested your hands on Joost's chest where you could feel his calm breathing. Joost's hands tangled in your hair as your lips parted to taste each other on your tongue. Your head was spinning, heart racing as you finally got what you had been looking for since the night you first met Joost.
As you pulled back from the kiss Joost cupped your face and looked down at you with a sheepish grin on his face.
"We should've done this way sooner," he stated.
"That's what I've been saying!" you laughed before you leaned back in for another kiss.

Joost is definitely a touchy feely guy. He’s also a smoker which means passing the cig he’s smoking to you, brushing his fingers against your own and revelling in the feeling. “We should quit.” You say jokingly. He hummed with agreement thinking of how many touches he’d miss out on if you both ever did.
Joost hugs you from behind a lot putting his chin on your head, especially to show others that you’re his. He’s very protective of you both when it comes to others making unwanted physical contact with you - a touchier friend, a dumb guy in the club - and when envy is in play - a jealous ex, a shitty colleague.
Joost always makes sure you’re comfortable. “Can we go home please?” You asked when the party was getting too much. “‘course lovely.” He quickly bids everyone goodbye and drives you to your apartment or your shared home where you spend the rest of the night watching dumb comedies and laughing your asses off.
Joost always shows up for you. As absorbed as he is with his music he always makes time for you, a trip to a cinema, a coffee date or just your day off which you spend curled up in his arms talking about nothing in particular.
Joost thinks about you constantly. “Heyyy.” He said into the phone, stirring the vegetables in the pan. “Hi lovely!” You exclaimed into the other end. How’s your day going? I’m just making dinner for when you come back.” You smiled. “‘s going okay. Glad you’re having fun!” The joy was evident in his tone, clearly proud of making you happy. The conversation went on for a while, you could really talk to him about anything without feeling bored.
Joost loved sharing his music with you, whether his own or other people’s, he enjoyed looking at you when he showed you something new. “D’you like it?” You nodded. Something you’d hear at a club in Berlin was flowing through your headphones and since it was recommended by him you loved every second of it. “We need to listen to Aggu’s newest song!” He stopped the track mid through and switched the song. “I’m telling you it’s great!”
Ah Joost Klein the man that you are…

No guy friends - Joost Klein smut
Joost sees you talking to a guy friend and gets jealous.
WARNINGS: unconsensual sex!!!! Creampie, jealousy, dominant Joost, for adults!
You’re backstage watching your boyfriend Joost perform in front of hundreds of people. You still can’t believe how lucky you are to have him all to yourself. Joost gives you subtle glances and smiles here and there while dancing and jumping on stage. You could say he’s obsessed with you, and you’re obsessed with him. Suddenly you feel a light tap on your shoulder. You turn around to see your old friend Max.
- “Max? Oh my god what are you doing here?”
You smile and hug him tightly. Max is a DJ you met five years ago. You guys met at a rave and clicked as friends. You haven’t seen Max in years since he lived in another country and didn’t keep in touch too much.
- “I’ve missed you too. How’s it going with Joost?”
Max asks. You guys chat for some time. Laugh and catch up on everything. Suddenly you hear loud footsteps coming from behind you. It’s Joost.
- “Who the fuck are you?”
Joost asks, staring at Max and you furiously. His mic is turned off and the crowd is yelling and screaming for Joost to come back.
- “He’s an old friend of mine, a DJ I met-“
Joost instantly cuts you off.
- “ I don’t give a fuck, get out of here! Why the fuck are you hugging my girlfriend like that, huh?”
Joost yells at Max. You try to calm him down but it’s not working. Max looks at you and nods. He understood that he wasn’t wanted there and left.
- “what’s wrong with you? He’s only a friend”
You say to him with an irritated tone in your voice.
- “Your guy friend? Do you see any girl friends of mine here?”
Joost asks as he mockingly looks around. And no, there wasn’t any Joost’s girl friends. In fact, Joost has only a few girl friends but they aren’t so close with him and don’t really chat. You start to feel bad but you’re still angry how he reacted. Joost gives you one more look before he walks back to the front stage.
- “sorry guys, we had some technical issues” Joost said into the mic.
You hear the crowd cheering. You’re frustrated and confused. You decide to just walk back to the hotel to give yourself some time to think. You pull out a cigarette and smoke it, exhaling out your frustration.
Its almost 3 o’clock at night and Joost hasn’t still come back to the hotel. You know he is at an after party with his friends and having fun. You start to wonder if he’s even gonna come back. You get up from bed and start to change into your pajamas. You slip on Joost’s black boxers and put on a grey top. Suddenly you hear someone unlocking the door. It’s Joost. He is clearly drunk, struggling to stay up while he kicks off his shoes. He looks up at you and sees you standing there, with your hands crossed over your chest. He walks up to you while holding eye contact. You notice him looking at you with frustration and lust. Now he stands right in front of you, a few centimeters away. You slightly furrow your eyebrows to the smell of alcohol. You look up at him since he’s way taller than you. He smells so familiar. Cigarettes and a good perfume. He gently puts his hands on your cheeks and says
- “No guy friends”.
Your anger instantly comes back. You push his hands away as you tell him to fuck off. Joost clearly isn’t done with this conversation and over the fact that some random guy has you smiling and hugging him like that. He instantly pushes you against the wall and has his other hand on your mouth and the other holds both of your hands together so you can’t push him away. His hands are so big that both of your hands are basically locked in his fist. You look up at him with big eyes full of shock. Joost looks you in the eyes. His eyes are now full of anger and jealousy. You can feel it how obsessed he is over you. His grip on you is tight and starts to hurt a little. The anger in his eyes slowly turns back to lust and obsessiveness. He slowly moves his gaze down to your lips, breasts and to your hands. He looks back up and slightly licks his lips and asks you again “No… guy… friends. Understood?”. This wasn’t a question by the tone of his voice. You can’t help but admire his handsome face, his blonde hair and how masculine he is. That right there, is a man. A very good looking man that hundreds of fans would kill for.
You keep staring into his eyes for a while before giving him a slight nod. You’re starting to doubt how twisted your mind is as you feel getting turned on by this situation. Is this normal? You think to yourself as your gaze has moved to his lips. Joost notices and his grin grows wider. He flips you around against the wall, now your back facing him. He pushes himself against you, now both your hands locked behind your back.
- “Would you want your DJ friend to do this to you, hm?”
He asks. You sheak your head and try to not seem turned on by his actions. You bite your lip and try to free your hands from his grip. His grip holds onto your hands even tighter, you feel him putting pressure onto you so you can’t get away from him. He moves closer to your ear and you can feel his warm breath against the side of your face.
- “So pretty… I hated to see you like that with another guy, you know? Almost ruined my mood at the concert.”
He says drunkenly with his low and raspy voice. Oh god that voice. That was your last straw in trying to not get even more turned on. You start to feel that pulse between your thighs. You start to feel his bulge growing against your ass, which doesn’t help at all.
- “I really think I should put you back to your place. Remind you who gets to touch you, kiss you and fuck you.”
He starts to slowly grind his rock hard bulge against your ass. You shut your eyes and a small whimper escaped from your lips. He’s planting small kisses behind your neck and slides your hands above your head against the wall. He holds your hands against the wall, as his other hand starts to wonder around your chest and waist.
- “All of this is mine. I don’t want anyone to touch you again”
He says with his low voice. He slowly pulls down your underwear. You start to feel his hands moving around your body. He slowly slides his fingers onto your dripping wet pussy. His grin spread wider again as he felt how wet you got over this situation.
- “Oh fuck didn’t know you liked me talking like this. You’re such a good girl for me…”
He says and kisses your neck as he slowly rubs circles around your clit. He wanted to hear a few moans from you before he pushed two fingers into your pussy. He starts pumping in and out slowly. You can’t help it anymore and moan his name.
- “Joost..”
- “Shhh… you’re doing so so good”
He says. His fingers feel so good in you. Your eyes roll to the back of your head as he pumps in and out. You close your eyes and let him use your body. You didn’t care what he was gonna do to you, you loved it and the feeling of him being in full control. Your head falls back as another moan escapes your mouth. His fingers are starting to move slightly faster now. The pleasure feels so good but so wrong at the same time. He didn’t ask for your consent but neither did you really want him to ask for it. You liked it when he was dominant in bed, but this was to another level. You have had secret fantasies about him forcing himself on you. But of course you never expressed these fantasies. You were scared of how he would react.
- “I can’t wait to feel you around my cock pretty girl”.
You moan as you heard his words. He gives you a few more pumps before he pulls out his fingers and you come back to your senses. What is happening? “Why do I like this?” You thought to yourself. It feels so wrong but… so good.
- “Wait, Joost-“
- “Shut up, and take it like a good girl”
He said as he cut you off. He unzipped his jeans with his other hand while still holding your hands against the wall with his other hand. He pulls down his jeans and boxers, spits into his hand and gives himself a few strokes. He slides his dick against your wet pussy, and rubs your clit with his tip. You bite your lip and before you know it, he’s pushing himself into you.
- “Oh my god”
You yelp as he pushed himself into you without warning. He pushed himself so deep. Oh so deep… it hurt a little since you didn’t have time to adjust to his size. But you liked it for some sick and twisted reason. You liked it how he forced himself into you. You scratched the wall with your fingernails and moaned his name, louder this time. Joost moved his mouth closer to your ear and whispered, “such a good girl, taking me so well…”. You couldn’t help but whimper. He starts rocking his hips against you hard. His cock slamming into your pussy.
- “Oh fuck… tell me how it feels? Like it how my cock fills up your pussy, hm?”
He said softly as he keeps pounding into you. His hand moves to your throat and gives it a light squeeze.
- “Answer me baby, tell me how it feels.”
He commands. You can hardly come up with words as you moan. His dick deep inside of you, the sound of skin slapping, his hands, everything is so overwhelming.
- “It-… feels-… oh god” you manage to say with your voice trembling.
- “I didn’t hear you pretty girl. How does it fucking feel?”
He asks you again gently. His beautiful low and raspy voice against your ear. His grip around your throat getting tighter.
- “Your cock feels-… so-… good-… please don’t-… stop!”
- “Such a good girl” Joost answers and loosens his grip around your throat.
His dick still pounding into your pussy hard and mercilessly. Your moans turning louder and louder. You can hear heavy breathing behind you and his gaze exactly on you.
- “Wanna be a good girl and take my cum?”
You chuckled slightly since this is the only thing he has asked for consent this night. You nod and he kisses your cheek before starting to pound into you even harder. His balls slap against your clit and you might as well orgasm right there and then. He’s become a moaning mess as well. You rarely hear him moan like that and wouldn’t mind to hear it more often. He grabs your hair and pulls your head to rest against his chest. You arch your back and look up at him.
- “I want to see your pretty face when you cum” Joost says breathlessly.
You feel your walls getting tighter and tighter. A few more pumps into you and you’re gonna cum.
- “Joost i’m gonna-“
- “Cum for me pretty girl.” He said as his voice trembled as he tried to not cum before you. He loved looking at your face, especially when he was fucking you.
After hearing those words you instantly came. Your walls tighten around his cock as you cum all over his dick. You moan his name loudly.
- “Such a good good girl, but I’m not done yet” he whispered into your ear.
He was so sweet for letting you cum first. He keeps pounding into you faster and harder and you feel yourself getting overstimulated.
- “Oh good Joost! Please cum ah-… I can’t… take it!” You moan.
He keeps slamming his cock into you, his grip on you still tight. He moans and calls you a good girl for taking his dick so good.
- “Look at me when I cum baby. I wanna see your pretty face when I cum inside of your pretty pussy” he says while trying to hold himself together.
A few more seconds later he cums into your pussy. He’s trying to catch his breath while his dick is leaking cum in you. He leans against you and rests his head on your shoulder, breathing heavily and whimpering your name. You try to catch your breath as well. You feel his cock twitching slightly inside of you, you love that feeling.
He slowly pulls his dick out and kneels down behind you. He spreads your pussy lips open with his fingers and watches his cum dripping down from your pussy.
- “Oh god..” he catches his breath.
He gets up and grabs you a towel to clean up his mess with. After you’re clean, you jump into bed.
- “Did I scare you?” He asks.
He wasn’t sure what you felt about this and looks into your eyes with worry. You reassured him that you’re fine and actually enjoyed it. You both lay on the bed not knowing what to think about. You two end up cuddling all night and sleep the night.

Roomating with a producer can be a bit of a handful. There's always random people in their home, playing loud sounds, always hearing conversations or laughter. It's enough to make people want to move out, but not (Y/N). It was like that from the beginning though. She got tired of the loud noises and kept considering moving out, but that changed. She stayed because of the people she met. Her roommate introduced her to some of the coolest people ever.
One of those "coolest people" happened to be a Dutch musician by the name of Joost Klein. He wasn't just a cool person, he was an absolute sweetheart. He was a gentleman, some may say.
One of their first interactions happened in the kitchen. Joost was getting a drink out of the fridge while (Y/N) was reaching for a plate that was placed in a higher cabinet. She was tugging at the big batch of plates, she didn't realize the smaller ones on top were about to fall on her head. Joost noticed this and immediately jumped into action and caught the smaller plates. Joost asked (Y/N) if she was okay to which she jokingly responded with, "Oh my God you saved my life." That marked a new friendship in the process.
After that, Joost and (Y/N) started talking more, some conversations being taken to Instagram DM's or regular messages. Whenever Joost came over to work on new music, (Y/N) would be the first person in the room to talk to him. They easily connected and it was a euphoric feeling for both of them. As time went on, some feelings were starting to develop from both ends. The more they interacted with each other, the more those feelings got stronger. At first, it was a concerning issue for both Joost and (Y/N), but they individually came up with the idea 'If I don't tell, then nothing will happen.'
They never knew how hard that mentality was going to affect them.
It was another work day for (Y/N)'s roommate, meaning people were going to come over, also meaning Joost was coming over. (Y/N) waited on the living room couch for the door to make a knocking sound. Joost had a special knock that made (Y/N) instantly know it was him. It was the rhythm to (Y/N)'s favorite song. When she heard the rhythm knock, she shot up from the couch and basically ran to the door. She opened the door and was met with her blonde friend and another blonde that she didn't recognize. He had a pair of ski googles on top of his head which made him stand out just a bit.
"Hi stinky," (Y/N) heard Joost say. She smiled and gave him a hug and welcomed him and his friend in.
"How are you?" she asked Joost. He just just gave her a thumbs up and a dumb smile, which she adored.
"This is my friend, August," Joost pointed to his friend. "But you call him Ski Aggu because you're not his friend," Joost jokingly added.
(Y/N) smiled and rolled her eyes. She turned to August and put out her hand, to which he happily shook, "It's nice to meet you, my name's (Y/N)."
"It's lovely to meet you too, my friend Joost was telling me all about you," His voice and accent were deep. "You seem like a fun girl to be around," He continued, his tone changing just a tiny bit.
"I'd like to think I am," She replied. The atmosphere got a little thick in Joost's head. 'What did August mean by that? And why did (Y/N) even reply?' were thoughts going through Joost's head, but he pushed them away to not overthink.
The moment was put to an end when (Y/N)'s roommate opened his door, making everyone turn to him. "Oh shit, sorry guys. I kinda forgot you two were coming," he said, "The song's almost done, I just want Joost to make a bit more background vocals and then we're done. It shouldn't take long."
(Y/N) walked back to sit down on the couch and turned on the TV. She watched as Joost and August walked to her roommate's room to finish what they needed to do. August gave (Y/N) a little wave before entering the room, making her smile and wave back. Joost caught this and made him question even more, but didn't want to overthink it.
Before shutting the door, Joost turned to (Y/N) and jokingly said, "No girls allowed."(Y/N) giggled and told him to shut up and get to work in a joking manner.
Seconds turned to minutes, minutes turned to hours, at least that's what it felt like to (Y/N). (Y/N) never gave the work her roommate did any interest, even though she loves listening to music. It was ironic. But one thing she learned from her roommate, making music isn't easy or for the weak.
(Y/N) was distracted on her phone until she heard a door open. She looked up from her device and saw August walking toward the kitchen to look for a snack. She watched as he walked towards the pantry and opened it up to see what he can munch on. She kind of felt bad because her roommate didn't really buy snacks like she did. August was struggling to figure out what to get because he didn't know which snacks he was allowed to get.
"You know, I have a full bag of takis towards the back. You can have them if you want." (Y/N) suggested.
August looked at her, back at the pantry, and back at her. "Are you sure?" he asked. (Y/N) nodded and told him she didn't mind. He smiled and reached toward's the back to find a party-sized bag of chips.
August was about to go back to the room until he realized that (Y/N) was all alone. He felt bad leaving her alone while he was with his friends working. He wanted to get to know her, alone. He sat next to her and turned towards her. "You're really nice." was all August said.
(Y/N) giggled. "Thank you, but why are you saying that?"
"Well, I don't know anyone else who would let me have their full bag of chips, let alone a party-size bag," August answered.
(Y/N) laughed at his response. At the end of the day, it was never that serious, but (Y/N) loved when people took their gratitude to a silly level. "This guy almost never buys snacks and whenever he does, he eats it in the same hour." She added, referring to her roommate.
August and (Y/N) continued their conversation that started because of a bag of chips. August kept making (Y/N) laugh with his responds and comments, which caught the attention of another musician in the very next room. "Damn, bro. He's taking your girl," Joost's producer friend jokingly said. Joost lightly punched him on the shoulder and got up to "Investigate."
When Joost walked out the room, he instantly noticed how close August was sitting next to (Y/N). That made his stomach feel weird. He hated watching another man make (Y/N) laugh, especially if it was one of his friends. He wanted to jump into the conversation so he didn't feel left out. "Guys, i'm kind of hungry," was all he said to break their conversation.
August and (Y/N) looked at Joost. "I'm kind of hungry too, i'm not going to lie," (Y/N) added, "I could door-dash us some food but.... I honestly don't want to pay that much for delivery."
"Oh, August and Teun can go get the food," Joost immediately suggested.
August looked at Joost and raised his eyebrow. "Why can't you go?" he asked.
"Because I don't want to and I need to record more adlibs," Joost replied. There was an awkward silence between the two blondes. (Y/N) didn't know why but she felt like there was weird tension between the two. The more they stared at each other, the more the tension was because thicker, someone could cut it with a knife. The weird moment was broken when Teun walked out the room and said, "Come on, August. You can choose what we eat," He was while grabbing his keys.
August mentally sighed and got up to leave with Teu, leaving Joost and (Y/N) alone. It didn't take (Y/N) much to realize Joost was bothered about something. "Are you okay?" she asked. Joost turned around and muttered about him being fine. (Y/N) was bothered by his response and called him out, "Don't do that. Don't. I know something is wrong, so tell me."
Joost slowly turned back around to look at (Y/N) and was mentally debating on whether he should tell her or not. He looked at the ground like a little kid that's about to get in trouble and sighed. "Honestly..." was all he could get out while making a quick pointing gesture at the door.
(Y/N) didn't understand what he meant until she connected the dots when she remembered the tension between August and him. She gave him a sympathetic smile and patted the spot next to her on the couch. He quickly sat next to her and she laid her head on his shoulder, making his heart race. "He can never replace you," she whispered to him.
Joost chuckled and reached to lay his hand on her cheek and jawline, covering her mouth. He felt like in that moment, it was the right time to let her know how he felt. "I like you, a lot. And I hate how a situation involving a man made me tell you," he confessed.
It was silent for a couple of seconds. Making Joost worry. "I like you more, but I still want to get to know you," (Y/N) replied. Joost smiled and looked at her.
"How about I let you know me more over dinner?" Joost asked. (Y/N) gave him a big smile and nodded. She gave him a quick kiss on his temple and got up to run to her room. Joost watched as she disappeared into her room. He finally got the girl he wanted and was once grateful for his envy.

song inspo: Heart To Heart - Mac DeMarco
You and Joost first met at a small gathering hosted by a mutual friend. Your day had been spent mostly in the comfort of your bed catching up on whatever show you were watching. Nothing had been planned that day. That was until your friend Thalia texted you about a party she was throwing. Of course, she apologized for the last-minute plans, but you were more than happy to accept the invitation. She texted you that a friend of hers had flown into town and she wanted everyone to get together for some drinks and fun. Anything was better than rotting in bed any longer. Then she said everyone was going to start showing up in 2 hours. With that you rolled out of the comfort of your blankets, the cold air of your apartment making you shiver slightly. You stepped into some slippers to avoid the cold and threw on a jacket you found on a chair nearby. Now that you were warmer, you walked to your closet to pick an outfit. For this occasion, you decide to dress up a bit. There was a dress that was just sitting in your closet that seemed perfect. You had never worn it because it was quite short and you didn’t go anywhere where you could wear this. But now seemed like the perfect time.
You were doing some finishing touches on your makeup in the bathroom. Although you weren’t doing much makeup, you wanted to look presentable for these new people. The alarm you set up had begun to go off, startling you a bit. You were quick to shut it off. You returned to your room to spray on some perfume before searching for your purse. You’d thought you’d left it on your desk, but it wasn’t there. This started a search around your room that lasted 10 minutes. As soon as you found it, you had a short-lived celebration as you realized you were already late. After one more quick look in the mirror, you grabbed your keys and left your apartment.
You didn’t know what to expect as you pulled up to the house, but it wasn’t what you saw. The last time you were here for a celebration it was something small, but you can tell from the outside that the house was packed. You could hear the music get louder with each step you took towards the door. Instead of knocking, you just texted Thalia that you were here. Within seconds she opened the door. Though you were late to the party, you were still welcomed with open arms. You had only knocked two times before Thalia opened the door.
“Oh my god! I was starting to think you weren’t going to show up.” She sighed in relief and hugged you tightly, which you returned. “Come in! I want everyone to meet you.”
She grabbed your arm, dragging you into her house. The house was lively with colorful lights emitting from different points of the house, lighting the space. The speakers pumped out bass-heavy beats, making the floor vibrate with every pulse of the music. The air buzzed with the mingled sounds of laughter and animated conversations. You both passed up the living room had a cluster of people in it. From the brief you got, you could see that there was where the dance floor was. You both walked a bit further until you reached the kitchen. It was currently the quietest room in the house since there were no speakers and everyone inside was having conversations amongst themselves.
Suddenly you were a bit nervous to meet these people. They didn’t notice you both walk in as they were too interested in their conversation. You take a quick look around the room. The kitchen was lit with the same lights as the rest of the house, but it was less intense making the room slightly dimmer. The kitchen wasn’t as crowded as the rest of the house. But there was a group of five people talking amongst themselves. A guy and a girl were there and his arm was around her. Probably a couple you thought to yourself. Two guys were having some sort of passionate discussion. Then there was a single guy leaning on the counter, a drink in his hand. He had quickly caught your attention. He was laughing at some joke, but his smile was charming. Thalia broke your trance by clearing her vice trying to get their attention. It didn’t work.
“Hey guys!” she raised her voice, quieting the group. “This is my friend I told you guys about.”
All eyes were now on you. You gave everyone a small wave before telling them your name. You were now standing next to him and felt yourself become more nervous. Everyone introduced themselves. It only took one of the guys saying something for another conversation to start. They started arguing about a bet one of them lost and people were chiming in giving their two cents. You were just laughing along with them. Soon everyone was talking amongst themselves, leaving you to try a strike up a conversation with Joost. The nerves you felt when you first arrived came back Words were coming up blank to you. Joost leaned in and whispered, "Don't worry, I'm a nice guy. Just relax." You smiled and felt your nervousness dissipate. You asked him about himself and where he was from since Thalia never told you. He told you about his home and his music career. That caught you off guard since Thalia also failed to mention that he was a musician.
________
The night was going by in a blur. It felt as though only a few minutes ago you were taking your first shot of the night, and now, a few drinks later, you were amongst the crowd in the living room, dancing against Joost. The bass of the music was pounding in your ears and you moved your hips against him following every beat. His hands were rested on your waist, keeping you close to him. You felt your legs shake and your heart flutter. You felt yourself getting lost in the moment and forgetting everything else. All you could focus on was the beat of the music and the touch of Joost's hands. You felt a rush of pleasure as Joost's lips brushed against your neck. He turned you around and pulled you flush against him. Your faces were just inches apart and you could feel his breath against your lips. He leaned forward closing the space between you both, but then moved his lips to your ear.
“Let’s take this somewhere more private.” His breath brushes against your ear sending goosebumps across your skin.
He took our hand in his as he walked you both past the crowd and upstairs. Anticipation built with every step you take. Once you reach the top, he leads you into one of the guest rooms. He opened the door and moved to let you in. The room was dimly lit, with only a small bedside lamp lighting it. The room was very clean and you could smell Thalia’s air freshener. Joost quietly closed the door. He walked over and sat on the edge of the bed, gesturing to you to come to him. He takes both of your hands and gently pulls you on his lap, straddling him. His hands find the sides of your waist as he looks up at you. There’s something in his eyes you haven’t seen before. Lust. One of his hands comes up to caress your cheek.
“You are so beautiful.” he smiles. You were pretty sure that the alcohol was influencing this moment, but you didn’t care. He leans in, connecting you both in a kiss. It was sweet at first, but then it became hungrier. His tongue brushed over your lip, begging for entrance. You parted your allowing for him to explore your mouth. His hand went into your hair, entangling themselves. He pulled you closer and your chests were touching. But this wasn’t enough for you. You needed to feel him. So you start to move your hips looking for any sort of friction. He groaned into the kiss.
“So needy.” his voice was low and sultry in your ear, making you even wetter. He didn’t stop you. Instead, he let one of his hands drop to your ass, squeezing the soft flesh and encouraging you to continue. You bit your bottom lip hard as felt his bulge under your clothed clit. He pulled you into another messy kiss as you still grinded on his hungry cock. Then he pulled away, breathless and chest heaving as his eyes blazed with lust.
“I’m gonna fuck you so goo-” You were both interrupted by the door being swung wide open. It was Thalia. You watched all of the color drain from her face as looked between the both of you with utter shock on her face.
“Oh my god I’m so sorry!” she quickly covers her eyes. “I was just looking for the both of you because we were about to do karaoke. But I uh. I see that you’re both busy. Sorry.”
She awkwardly left the room, leaving you and Joost alone again. You couldn’t help but giggle causing him to chuckle.
________
It had been a few days before either of you reached out. You spent a lot of time contemplating texting him first, but couldn’t think of what to day. It didn’t help that you got even more busy with work recently. There were many unsent messages that you deleted after giving it some thought. Since he didn’t seem to want to reach out, you assumed that maybe you misinterpreted your time together. These thoughts blocked you from texting him any further. You thought that would be the end of it until you received a message from him one afternoon. A week after the party.
Hey it's Joost from the party.
You were happy to have heard from him, and a part of you was also relieved that he reached out. You texted him back, too quickly. He invited you out to lunch which you were happy to accept. He took you out to a brunch spot that was downtown. The weather was warm since the sky was clear, and it made you appreciate choosing to walk to the place. You had arrived quite sooner than you expected. You looked down at your phone, checking to ensure you had the right place. When you stepped inside, you glanced around. The restaurant was small and cozy and each table was full. As you glanced around you saw Joost, sitting at a table with a cup of coffee. You smiled, feeling excited and happy. You walked over to the table and when he noticed he smiled at you and stood up to hug you. He held onto you for quite some time before letting go to let you sit. He asked how your day had been and you filled him in on all the details. You both chatted for a while, catching up on each other's lives. Finally, you ordered your meal and you enjoyed an intimate dinner.
As you both finished up your food, you knew that meant that it was coming to an end. And you both knew that there was something you both needed to discuss that you’d been avoiding the whole time. The party. More specifically the kiss you shared. You didn’t want to leave before talking about it, so you spoke up first.
“So we should talk about the party.” you were fidgeting with your hands under the table. “About what it means for us.”
He looked at you, his expression unreadable.
“Yeah, we should.” he looked away and outside the window before looking black at you. One of his hands reached out to capture yours in his. “I really like you and I'd love to get to know you even better.”
You smiled with relief.
“I’m so glad you said that. I like you a lot.” his thumb caressed the back of your hand. He gave you a tender smile and it broke your heart into pieces to tell him the rest of your thoughts. “I just don’t think I’m ready to do long distance and you don’t deserve that. But I really want us to stay friends.”
You watch as his smile fades, but quickly replaces with a softer smile. There was a moment of silence between the both of you as you anticipated his response. Even after what you told him, his hand never left yours.
“I understand that.” He went quiet again, trying to find the right words. “I would love to stay friends with you, but I’ll also wait until you’re ready.”
You smiled at his words. He took it better than you had expected and it relieved you. You were terrified of losing him. There was more you wanted to say, but no words were coming to you. Luckily the waiter came by to give you the check. Of course, Joost picked it up without giving you the chance to even offer. As you both left the restaurant, he asked if he could walk you home. You thought he’d want nothing to do with you after this, but you were happy that he still wanted to spend more time with you.
This ended up being the first of many hangouts between the both of you. He took you to many spots that he’d found online like an arcade, an ice cream shop, or a local carnival. He even walks you home from work a few times. Those walks soon became the highlight of your week. Together you can talk for hours, but you also enjoy the comfortable silence. The banter between you both still flows easily as if you’ve known each other for decades. The time that you spend with him is the most fun you’ve had in a long time. All of this made you fall for him even more as time went on and made it even harder when he had to leave.
The day he was supposed to leave was quite difficult, mostly for you. There had been a pit in your stomach since the day you told him you couldn’t be with him. No matter how hard you try to justify it with yourself, it never works. You had made a mistake and you feared it was too late to fix it. You and Thalia drove with Joost and his friends to the airport to see them off. The moment it was time to part ways, he turned to you with a slightly sad expression. You wanted to tell him that you changed your mind or felt differently, but you knew it was too late. You felt regret stabbing you in the heart. So instead you just said goodbye to him with a heavy heart. You hugged him tightly and he promised to keep in touch. You then waved goodbye as you watched him board the plane.
________
It had been a few months since you’d last seen Joost and a lot of things in your life had changed. You moved into a new place which was much larger than your last place and closer to your new job. You were also now in a relationship with someone new. He was nice, easy on the eyes, and was a good cook. You both met at your new job. He made working much more enjoyable for you, so after a few weeks you decided that you would both try dating. He took you to a bunch of your favorite places, plus a bunch of places where Joost used to take you. You knew that he only took you there because they were fun, but it couldn't help but make you think of Joost.
Recently Cole has been acting strange. He told you that he got a second job to pay off a loan. You were kind to offer to help, but he told you no. He reasons that he wanted to pay it off himself. When you asked him about this job, all he said was it was a security gig. So you left it at that. Now every day after work you’d part ways. He’d go to his second job and you’d go home alone. You seemed to spend less and less time with each other anymore. As you walked home, you were reminded of the way Joost used to walk you home. The way his hand would softly slip into yours as he’d listen to you ramble on about work. Now the walks seemed colder and lonelier. You missed it. You missed him.
Throughout your relationship with Cole, you posted pictures of your dates on your Instagram. You enjoyed sharing with your friends and family the places you visit and the things you do. What you didn’t know was that Joost has been stalking your account since he left. He likes seeing what you’ve been up to. But recently he’s dreaded looking because of your new relationship. He’s not the type to get jealous, but it annoys him every time he sees you post about it. Not just because of your relationship but because he's taking you everywhere he used to take you.
Joost one day decided to look up Cole on Instagram to do a little digging. He found his main account and looked through it. Seemed normal. Just pictures of him with family, friends, and you. You clicked on one of the pictures that had you in it. You were at the ice cream parlor he took you to and you were smiling at him. It was the same beautiful, gentle smile you gave him. He missed seeing you, being with you. He went back to the search and saw that there was another account. When he clicked on it he realized it was a second account. But all the pictures were very different from his main account. It was pictures of him at various clubs with many different people. Mainly women. In a lot of these pictures, he was getting very close to these women. They were all over him. And then he saw a video of him making out with one of these women. He was completely shocked and beyond pissed. He was cheating on you and you had no idea, but he was gonna make sure you knew exactly who you were dating. So he sent you the account along with an explanation.
You and Joost had kept in touch since he left. You sent silly photos to each other, talked about each other's day, and had the occasional conversation about how you both missed each other. He told you that he would be in town in a few days. So when he texted you out of the blue one night, it didn’t seem off. Until you opened the text. It was the link to what you thought was your boyfriend’s account. Technically it was, just wasn’t the one you followed. When you click it, it brings you to a bunch of pictures of your boyfriend with multiple other women. Many of them showcased these girls touching him in various places. But a certain video of Cole making out with another woman. You wished you could say you were surprised, but you saw this coming. You ignored him coming home late, the smell of perfume that wasn’t yours, and the second job he was very vague about. You didn’t even feel like crying over him. Instead, you went and packed all of his things, which luckily wasn’t much, and put it in a box and set it outside. You sent Cole a quick text with the account attached.
don’t bother coming here tonight.
You set your phone on silent for the rest of the night and decided to just go to bed.
________
The day came when Joost came back into town. He was performing at a local festival. Of course, he invited you along with Thalia to come. The sun dipped low over the sprawling fields of Randall Park as the rhythmic pulse of guitars and drums echoed through the air. It was the opening evening of the Harmony Festival. The lineup promised a diverse array of genres, from indie rock to electronic beats, ensuring there was something to captivate everyone. The festival kicked off with an amazing performance by a local indie band. You had heard about them through some of your friends and they were phenomenal in person. Their infectious energy spreads like wildfire through the crowd. The lead singer's raw vocals intertwined with the wailing guitar solos, drawing cheers and applause that reverberated off the surrounding hills. As the evening progressed, the energy shifted with each new act. A soulful jazz ensemble transported listeners, while a DJ set on a neighboring stage had people dancing under a canopy.
The sun soon set and the performances hadn’t let up. The lights from the mainstage cast beautiful colors over the venue while small lights that were littered all over the place created a warm atmosphere. The crowd hadn’t thinned out much even as it was getting later. You and Thalia were getting drinks at a booth near the main stage. She told you that his performance was going to start in a few minutes which prompted you both to speed walk towards the stage. She looked worried as the crowd was huge and feared that you wouldn’t get a good spot. You refused to watch from the back, so you grabbed Thalia’s hand and made your way through the crowd as politely as you could and made it near the front. Since you had worked all week, you hadn’t been able to see him since he got into town. So seeing him on stage, in person, was wonderful. His energy on stage was incredible. Though you didn’t know his music, it still made you want to dance and move to the beat. You loved every song he sang. You watched as he was just being himself and having fun on stage. He was a natural performer and you could tell he was enjoying himself. You could feel the excitement from the crowd and you knew everyone was having a great time.
After the performance, you Thalia quickly left the crowd to go meet Joost backstage. Once again Thalia held onto your arm as you weaved your way through the thick crowd. You let Thalia lead the way after you were free from the crowd. You were thankful it was cooler now that the sun had set because the body heat within the crowd was terrible. You both decided to stop and get something else to drink before continuing. However, you weren't the only ones with that idea as the line for the booth had at least 30 people. You both agreed that it would take way too long and continued on your way. Two guards didn’t seem too keen on letting anyone in, but Thalia flashed them your badges and they stepped aside to let you in. Your heart began beating faster as felt nervous about seeing him in person again. You thought about finally telling him how you feel, or maybe just thanking him for saving you from a shitty relationship. Either way, you weren’t sure if you’d even be able to get a sentence out. You both walked past a few other performers before finally finding him. He was talking to another guy. You got a good look at him while you both waited for him to finish up. Not much had changed about him other than his hair was a bit longer.
Thalia was quick to get his attention once he finished up. He turned around to find the source and smiled when he saw you. He was over and hugged you tightly. You had missed his touch since he left, so being in his arms again made you melt into him completely.
“I missed you.” You felt your heart flutter and you felt a wave of emotion wash over you. You felt all the tension melt away as you two embraced.
“I missed you too.” He let go and gave you a warm smile. It made your heart flutter and all of the memories of the time you spent together came back to you. You needed to tell him how you feel. “Can we talk? Please.”
“Of course.” You told Thalia that you’d be back. He took your hand in his and walked you over to a more secluded area of the festival. The small lights that decorated the venue lit your path as you walked. You both walked for a while in silence just enjoying each other’s company. His hand was still holding yours and it was warm compared to yours.
“I wanted to say thank you for showing me the truth about Cole.” You looked at him, giving him a genuine smile. Though it's not what you wanted to say, it was a start.
“Yeah, he was a piece of shit.” You felt his grip on your hand tighten, and his eyes weren’t meeting yours anymore. “He didn’t deserve you.”
Once again it was quiet again before you muster up the courage to say something. You stopped walking, stopping him. He looked at you with confusion.
“I was wrong.” He still looked confused but also intrigued. “The last time you were here I told you we couldn’t be together. I was wrong. After you told me how you felt, I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I was so focused on not ruining our friendship. And when you left it made me realize how much I miss you and how much I care about you. I want to be with you. I’ve always wanted to be with you."
You looked at him trying to read his face, but his expression was unreadable. It made you nervous. What if you were too late and he moved on? His hand reached up to rest on both sides of your face. He pulled you close and closed the distance between you. The kiss was gentle and sweet and exactly what you needed. He pulled away, looking at you with nothing but love in his eyes.
“I told you I’d wait for you.”

Entering the backstage tent of the festival, you were immediately hit with a wave of scorching heat, the sun's relentless rays seeping even through the canvas. The energy from the performance on stage outside was pulsing and lively, carried by the young artist who commanded the crowd's attention, music increasing the adrenaline in your blood. Yet even as you prepared for your own set, the background noise and excitement faded to a muted hum as you focused on your vocal exercises and cues. As you readied yourself, the atmosphere surrounding you was as sultry and intense as the heat outside, the hot air seemingly alive with a buzz of anticipation.
With as much haste as the sound disappeared from your brain, a new, baritone voice flowed through the air.
“Ah, sorry. Didn’t see you here.”
You looked up from your daze and were met with a deep, hypnotic blue, one that would make even the skies jealous. The angles of his nose were perfectly shaped, as if God had taken extra time to mould the clay that would later take on his form. From the standpoint of a bystander, the two would seem like the sun and the moon; two opposites that seemingly complimented each other like second nature. As the silence lingered for a second too long and his gaze set comfortably on yours, you choked up the first words that came to mind.
“No worries! I was just lost in my own world there for a moment.”
He was entirely captivating — you were unsure of how to compose yourself as you burned under his stare. As if reading your mind, he quickly offers his hand out to you, eager to make any form of connection.
“You can call me Joost.” He urges, carefully tracing his eyes over every line in your face for a reaction.
Taking his hand in yours, you promptly share your name. A subtle yet powerful exchange — trading names — the fibres in which every invisible string between two people begins to entangle together. His hands felt as though they had once held the warmth of a flame, having the ability to breathe life into anything it touched. For lack of better word, you were electrified.
A careful knocking on the stage door alerted the two and prompted the release of your hands. Your manager walks in, choosing to ignore the other figure in the room.
“Sorry, you’re on in 3.”
“I’ll be there, thanks, Jere.” He nods, closing the door with relative ease and resuming whatever words he was muttering into his walkie-talkie.
A beat passes as Joost speaks up again, “Succes!” Smiling fervently, he lightly brushes the skin on your shoulder with his palm as he walks out into his own dressing room before you could even respond, taking with him the warmth of his presence.
Unsure of how to make sense of what had happened, you drowned in your own quandary. The blood in your veins were still pounding against the valves of your beating heart and your kidney was beginning to beat to the same rhythm. You were unsure of whether this was due to stage fright or your recent encounter, though it didn’t really matter anyways; it was the fact that they were both valid options.
—-----------------------------------------------------------
As you step on stage, the roar of the crowd engulfed your senses like a crashing wave. Your eyes scan the sea of bodies, a kaleidoscope of colours and faces all there to witness your performance. Unconsciously, you were scouring for the blue that looked at you as if you had been the only girl in the world.
Unbeknownst to you, he had joined the crowd to experience the passion that you had brought out with your music — he wanted to get to know you, and music is the window to one’s soul. As you sang your first song, it became adamantly clear to him how the atmosphere shifted and every light softened under your radiance. Your music highlighted the more subtle hues in life that Joost had not seen in awhile, eliciting memories of lustrous summers and fleeting springs; it felt as if his world, which was always turning at 100 kilometres an hour, began to slow. Your voice was mellow, it filled his eardrums and calmed the ringing which usually reverberated in every corner of his skull. He took note of everything you did, from the way you held your guitar to the reds blossoming on your fingertips as you held down on its strings. Ultimately, he was hopelessly captivated — by your lulling melody, your beauty, and the entirety of your being.
Diverting your eye from your guitar to the crowd, you locked your gaze on a familiar aquamarine — a shade you couldn’t get out of your head as it bloomed in your peripheral vision. A smile played on your lips; you couldn't help it. It was as if the corners of your mouth were tugged at, forcing them to curve upwards. The warmth which was previously absent in your stomach began to reignite and it felt as if rainbows were being drawn on the skies of your psyche. Being on stage in front of thousands has never felt so intimate before.
—-----------------------------------------------------------
As your final song comes to an end, your cheeks are numb from the constant smiling — not performatively but rather from sheer happiness. You step off the stage and back into the backstage tents, still dazed from the trance you were under as you had, prior, melted under the beautiful stranger’s gaze. You could feel a familiar set of eyes linger on you and you’re met at eye level with two deep blue pools. He spoke up gently, breaking the silence between the two before it could settle on your shoulders.
Joost grins at you, his eyes still sparkling with the same intensity as before. "You were phenomenal up there," he says. "I couldn't take my eyes off you."
You felt your cheeks flush a rosy pink, with a shy smile you replied, “you weren’t too bad either.”
Joost let out a hearty chuckle, amused by your comment. "Just 'not too bad'?" he teased, feigning offence. A beat passes as you forget to answer, as if wind had been sucked out of you from the mere sight of his laughter. Taking the initiative, he inquires you; “Hey, uh, I was thinking of walking around some more, take a look at some other stages if you wanted to hang out for a bit?”
Your eyes sparkle with a glint of excitement, “I was actually thinking the same thing — I’d love to join you.” Your voice cracking ever so subtly, betraying your nervous plight.
Carefully, he took your hand and started walking out of the tent, leading you towards the next stage — “so you don’t get lost.”
As you shuffle through the labyrinth of crowds, your bodies are constantly pushed together, every small touch prompting an exchange of warmth in return. His doting predisposition was almost overbearing, each time he looked back to make sure you were still behind him was so subtle, yet so appetent. The implications of it all, his hands on yours as you traverse the field of human bodies, wide open for the consumption of a myriad of prying eyes, was not lost on either of you, yet it remained a fact that both of you choose to ignore.
Breathing away the air of silence encapsulating the two of you, he speaks up. “What kind of music are you into? Like what artist do you want to see right now?”
You hadn’t realised how your gaze was so readily fixed on him — as if it were a force of habit, until his voice fills the silence you’d had in your head; racing at 100 kilometres an hour to catch up to the speed of your heart. Without much time to formulate a response, you quickly mutter the first few words that enter your thoughts. “I’ll watch anyone! Plus — maybe you could introduce me to some new music?”
Your words elicited a gentle smile as he tugged you towards a new area; “truth be told I don’t know who’s performing either — but we can discover together!”
As you settle into the crowd and your bodies blended in to the splatter of colour amidst dancing souls, he rested his hand on the small of your back, fingers fidgeting with the fabric of your top — holding dear to you and praying to a higher being so as to not get partitioned in the middle of thousands.
Although you were sure your attention was focused on the performance just ahead, you could feel each time his gaze averted into your eye line — his stare burned into your cheek the same way a kiss would; searing your flesh with a romance that lingered like sun rays on burnt skin. You used each chance he looked away to do the same — to leave a persistent stain on his peripheral vision which sent his heart to the moon. This prolonged back and forth lasted all the way to the end of the artist’s set, his songs being nothing more than background noise as your heart pounded prolifically in your ears.
Eager to extend your time together, you asked to buy him a drink — with which he gladly accepted.
—-----------------------------------------------------------
Minutes passed into hours discreetly — you were lost in conversations about everything and nothing at the same time, until the noise settled and the crowd thinned, bringing your conversation down to weak attempts at staying in each other’s company.
You take the final sip of your drink; you promised yourself this’d be the last. Eased by the momentum of your mutual exchange, you ask him: “Do you ever look out into the crowd and realise that every person that everyone’s ever met was brought together by chance?”
“Like how your set just so happened to be right after mine?”
Hesitantly, you replied, stepping on eggshells as you cherry pick each word carefully, trying to gauge some meaning behind your blooming relationship. “Yeah, I mean like what if I hadn’t been in that tent when you came in? Would you still watch my set? Would you be having a drink with me right now?”
“I’m pretty sure someone with a presence like yours would’ve caught my attention one way or another.” His response was delivered almost immediately, as if the answer were the most obvious thing in the world.
Attempting to hide the smile inevitably slipping onto your face and the pink creeping up your cheeks, you let out a sincere chuckle. “I’m glad you think so.”
As your conversations drift with the sunlight, a call from your manager reminds you of your responsibilities, prompting an exchange of see you soons and subtle glances over the shoulder as you both depart from each other’s warmth.
It was hard to be around him — to be close but not close enough. To say he charmed you would be an understatement, and to say that he didn’t feel the same would be a lie. Being back in your hotel room reminded you of how intoxicating it felt to be near him, and it felt like an itch as you traced back the steps that you took so carefully around him; how the two of you danced around each other so gently. You weren't sure you'd ever cross paths again; the regret of not being forward about how you'd felt with him loomed around you as you lay in bed, phone in hand, wondering if he was still thinking about you. His name rested on the tip of your tongue as you drifted off to sleep, naturally burrowing a home in your chest.

Waking up to waning notifications and texts hardly alerted you as you were seemingly stuck in the same state of wonderstruck that you had been in the day before. As you recollect your fleeing consciousness, the blots of colour on your screen begin to form coherent shapes, revealing texts from your manager and PR team, all addressed at several tweets and posts discussing you; their messages growing more and more panicked with each one. With a deep breath, you clicked on the Twitter app, bracing yourself for what you knew was coming.
The tweets were overwhelming, discussing everything from your performance to your interaction with Joost. People were making assumptions about your relationship and dissecting every detail of your interaction.
Mindlessly scrolling through the barrage of tweets, a text from a number you have labelled as “Joost :)” halts every single movement and thought previously in motion.
J: hello girlfriend :D
R: joost?
J: have u seen what theyre saying about us??
R: its really brutal
they dont hesitate
J: this is my first time experiencing something like this (・´з`・)
R: me too!
i hope youre ok with that kind of stuff though, its pretty intrusive
J: yup, but im going to have to get used to this (╥﹏╥)
and you are cute, so i dont mind (⁀ᗢ⁀)
R: oh thank you, youre cute too :D
You smiled as you read Joost's messages, feeling a warm sense of relief and happiness. Despite the gossip and speculation online, he seemed to be handling it all in stride – easing any preexisting worry that he’d be weirded out or pushed away by the assumptions forced upon you and your relationship. You stared intently at your screen, your fingers hovering anxiously over the keypad. Your heart rate quickened as you contemplated hitting send on the message, a wave of trepidation washing over her.
R: maybe we can talk more over lunch? just to make sure ure all good!
Was it too desperate? Did it seem like you wanted a second? First? Date amidst an unfortunate impasse? Would he be discouraged? Did he even want to see you again?
J: i’d love 2!!!!
Oh. You release the breath you hadn’t noticed you were holding in, letting the pressure dissipate from your shoulders. Despite the weight of the situation, you found solace in knowing that he had playfully accepted the circumstances and was willing to brace the full extent of the accusations by risking another day with you. Finalising the details for lunch, you got ready and swiftly made your way out the door – towards the destined spot.
—-----------------------------------------------------------
Stumbling through the city, you took in the sights as you passed by slews of oscillating buildings and unnamed parks. Unanswered messages from your manager remain rigid and unread as you lock away your phone, looking forward for signs of the restaurant you were to meet Joost in. Determination sets in to the anterior parts of your brain – the tenacity to express your interest in growing together with the man you had just met the day prior. Although it was sudden, you were sure that getting to know him would only continue to confirm the feelings beginning to harbour at the base of your judgement. Rounding the last corner, you were hit by a familiar warmth; it was sudden, intrusive, preponderant, and all-consuming simultaneously.
“Hallo!” The Dutch accent slipped into his greeting like honey, the same baritone voice you’d come to be acquainted with to fill the air around you, as a blanket would. Suddenly every smell, minute sound, or gentle breeze that was prevalent became subdued – every one of your senses focusing on the presence of the alluring companion standing in front of you.
Your grin evident in your voice, you reply tenderly, “hello, stranger.”

Joost Klein x gn!reader
You're mine
Wc: 196
---
Joost noticed your absence almost immediately. His adrenaline was still coursing from the performance, but his concern for you cut through the euphoria. He found you backstage, leaning against a wall, trying to steady your breathing.
"Hey," Joost's voice was gentle but edged with worry as he approached you. "What happened out there? Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fin-" You tried to reassure him, but Joost was already in full protective mode, his arms wrapping around you almost instinctively.
"Are you hurt? Did someone touch you? They had no right..."
You chuckled softly, despite yourself, at Joost's dramatic reaction. "Joost, I'm okay. It was just a fan getting too excited. Nothing serious."
He pulled back slightly to look into your eyes, his expression softening but still firm. "But they shouldn't have touched you like that. You're mine, you know that?"
You nodded, touched by his possessiveness but also finding it endearing. "I know, Joost. Thank you for being so protective."
He sighed dramatically, pressing a kiss to your forehead. "I can't help it. Seeing you out there, exposed like that... it makes me want to keep you close."
"I'm alright Joost, really." You softly told him.

Fanpages
Joost klein x goth! plus sized! reader
It was only inevitable your relationship would become public. unfortunately, not all attention is good.
wordcount: 700ish
warnings: fatphobia, cyberbullying, google translate Dutch
a/n: First request ive gotten, thanks! haven’t written for a plus sized reader before but i really wanted to take a stab at it so i hope i did it justice at least a lil. Also most of the time i try to write gn readers but this one ima be leaning more fem. hope you enjoyyy (Im so bad at titling things you guys)
RPF BELOW. Dont read if not comfortable with that k thnks :)
it was unlike you to go on such a deep dive into the comments of some random fanpage for your boyfriend, but it was only inevitable regardless the recent events. After Eurovision, Joost’s popularity just seemed to have skyrocketed and with that your guy’s relationship became a lot more public.
Fans figured out you two were dating quite quickly. Piecing together screenshots and matching posts, but it wasn’t until some fans took a picture of the two of you kissing at a bar last night that your socials truly went haywire. Most fans were supportive, you had seen a cute fan edit of the two of you already, but of course with every few lovely comments, there were always gonna be jealous fans.
- can’t believe hes dating this fat bitch
- i know right?! she looks so tacky and weird compared to the rest of his friends
similar comments kept popping out at you, all under the slide of fan paparazzi photos with the caption: JOOST GIRLFRIEND CONFIRMED?!
You didn’t even wanna look at your dms at the moment. fans taking it upon themselves to tell you you weren’t good enough for him, like you hadn’t already been together for years. You knew you shouldn’t let the comments of strangers get to you, but it brought up all the insecurities you’ve had about your relationship in the past.
your little media spiral had led you to where you were now, hiding in your bedroom, under the covers, away from the world. You were too busy doom scrolling on your phone and blasting Bauhaus to hear the knock and jingling of keys from Joost entering your apartment.
He had gotten the news probably even before you did that morning, his mentions filled with the same few screenshots and reactions that he learned to ignore. He had stopped by the store to pick up a bouquet of flowers and coffee and pastries from your favorite cafe you two frequent. He followed the sound of the music to your bedroom to find the lump of blankets on your bed that was you.
"oh Schatje..." you heard him call out. Your head popped out from under the covers to reveal to him your tear stained face. Eyes red, you did your best to put on a smile for him.
"Hi love, Im guessing you saw the news.." you sniffle and glance at his full hands. "You really didn't have to come by today, I'm okay I promise."
"je gezicht zegt iets anders, liefje" (your face says something different, love) He set down the flowers and small feast on your dresser and crawls onto the bed next to you. You sit up in your blanket cocoon and lean on his shoulder, Joost wrapping in arm around you and pressing a kiss to your forehead. "What did they say?"
"people are assholes." you mumble. "Its nothing I wasn't expecting.. just wasn't how I thought this week was going to go.."
"I know and im sorry. I saw some of the bad comments already, you know I love everything about you right?" he pulls out his phone and opens tiktok to show you a post he had saved. It was another edit, this one of pictures of joost in his lowlands performace with his mime face paint and you that same day with your matching trad goth makeup. The caption included the hashtag # couplegoals and it made you smile. "See, not everything is bad, they love you Schatje, I love you."
"okay okay, can we just stay in today? and tomorrow, and maybe the whole week..."
"Today for sure, why do you think im in sweatpants?" he gestures to his cozy attire. "Now share the blankets, your place is always so cold."
you open the blanket to wrap around the two of you and Joost repositions you so your legs are resting over his in his lap so he can be all the more closer to you. You look up at him and his right hand cups your face, wiping away and remaining tears, before leaning in and kissing you. You lean closer and move your lips with his as you feel him grab your side to move you more onto his lap. you break the kiss, faces still inches from each other.
“The coffee is gonna grow cold.” he just smiles and murmurs against your lips.
“fuck de koffie”

Hiiii!
I saw your post about requesting for Joost, and idk if this is good but I'll try my best!(first time requesting something btw)
So, we all looooove some good jealousy prompts right?(or am I just weird?)
I saw some about reader being jealous and blah blah blah but how about a jealous Joost?
He isn't the type to be easily jealous he really isn't! He trusts you with his life! But... what if HE isn't enough?
He's on tour, away from you for months. He hates it but he loves it at the same time, on one side: his work is being seen, he's getting money, he's visiting other countries. But on other side... you're away from each other and it kills him.
So, one night, he just got back from a show, he showered on the hotel bathroom, he's drying his hair with a towel while he sees random stuff on insta, he sits on the fresh hotel bed when he sees one new story from you.
You're smiling and there's a friend of yours, smiling too, with a caption:"thanks for the amazing night (friend nickname) you're the best! ❤️"
And the two of you are at you favorite restaurant.
You did mentioned to joost that you were feeling lonely without him, that work was killing you and you wanted to go out... he is happy for you, of course, but... he just wishes it was HIM next to you on the photo, it was HIM that took you out. HIM that you were sending heart emojis to.
(Maybe reader and joost are dating or maybe you could do a friends to lovers on this one)
So, as soon as he's back, he's knocking on your apartment door.
He doesn't even waits, as soon as you open the door, he hugs you, he's all over you.
"Joost?! You're back already?? Oh I missed you too!"
You hug him back.
Joost lives this. This peace. This warmth. This love, his heart bursting with adoration, he wants to prove to you that he's the best, that no friend could ever replace him!
Sorry if this is not good! Anyway, thanks for even reading this!
a/n: omg thank you so much for this prompt anon! i looove a good detailed prompt, i think i stuck mainly to your request, i really only changed some dialogue to fit the story! side note... i had a lot of trouble formatting this for some reason, so hopefully this posts ok. tumbr is giving me grief lmao
Irreplaceable | Joost Klein
content: gn! reader, Joost wins Eurovision (as he should), drinking, a singular dirty joke, allusion to smut if you squint, and hickies. alternating POVS, some dutch, mostly pet names (schat, lieverd, liefje), and small phrases (ik hou van jou= i love you, het spijt me= i'm sorry) this fic contains rpf and has been tagged as such, do not continue if that makes you uncomfortable
word count: 3,630
Your fingers sweep across the glowing keyboard of your phone. The intense bright white of the display in contrast with the dark of the restaurant that surrounds you makes you lower your eyes into a squint, the letters blurring before you.
Much needed night with my girl <3
You reposition the text to fit with the picture, a half-tipsy selfie you had taken just moments prior with your best friend, Anna. Your finger hovers over the "your story" button on the bottom left corner of your screen. You do one last scan of the photo, looking at the wide grins of you and your friend, you couldn't remember the last time you had seen yourself so happy.
You tap the button, deciding the photo is worthy to be seen by your whopping 400 Instagram followers.
"Did I look hot in that?" Anna's voice pulls you away from your phone, you place it face down against the white tablecloth in front of you. She's raising an eyebrow at you as her red lipstick coated lips curl into a smirk. She swirls a nearly empty glass of red wine in her hand.
"Of course," You grin, "When do you not?"
"Good point." She winks before raising the glass to her lips, finishing what was left in a single swig.
You'd been more than grateful for Anna taking you out tonight. Truth be told, the last few weeks had been bleak. They consisted mostly of you sitting at your kitchen counter, hunched over your computer doing work. Who knew working from home could be so stressful. You'd been completely swamped ever since a co-worker who had shared your position switched companies. Now you were stuck doing double the work for the same pay.
But maybe even worse than the stress of work was the loneliness of it. Taking a remote job had seemed ideal when you accepted the position, however, now you realized it was just like working any other office job without any of the human connection or interaction.
Your life hadn't always been this lonely, but you guessed that was the price you paid for living the city life, coupled with dating a musician.
Joost had been doing music since you met him a year and a half ago, and in that short amount of time, you never would have expected how huge he would have gotten. A summer hit in Germany and a fucking Eurovision win catapulted him into success.
Of course, you were more than proud of him, in fact, words couldn't even describe how happy you were for him. He deserved each and every fan, and each and every stream.
But being a musician meant being busy, and in particular, being on tour for weeks to months at a time.
Truth be told, during these last five weeks, Joost was on tour you had been living vicariously through videos posted online of his performances, desperately wishing you were in the crowd getting to watch him do what he loved every night. You would scroll intently in the isolating darkness of your apartment, at this point you had to have seen every angle of every single performance he'd done on tour thus far. It at least helped you feel a little less alone, watching how he smiled on stage, adoring the crowd, similar to the ways he had adored you.
You'd barely left the house since Joost had started touring, but you owed everything to Anna for forcing you out tonight. You were actually enjoying yourself.
A shadow looms over you, forcing you out of your thoughts. Your head whips to the side, and your waiter is standing over you
"Whenever you're ready." He places the black leather book in the middle of the table and nods as his lips press into a tight smile before walking away.
"Dinner's on me," Anna smiles slyly, her hand darting out and swiping the check from where it lay on the table. You can't say you're shocked by her offer, she had always been generous, but your heart is warmed by her kindness.
"Oh you don't have t-"
"Yes I do," She cuts you off. "This is your night out. Remember?"
"Thank you," You grin.
"Don't mention it," she opens the book, glancing down at the check, "Oh," She looks up at you, "Zoë asked if we want to meet her, Noor, and Hanna for drinks after this. They're at that bar a few blocks away. And seeing as I drank most of this bottle of wine, I reckon you need a few more drinks in you"
Your head bobs up and down, nodding, "More drinks sounds just about perfect right now."
Moments later the waiter is coming by again, taking the check off the table.
You look down at your phone on the table, flipping it over. The screen shines bright, revealing two notifications.
Joostklein liked your story
Joostklein replied to your story: have fun, liefje <3
A smile creeps onto your face and your chest swells with a warmth that both comforts you and stings at the same time. What you would give to have him here right now. Your thumb grazes over the screen, tapping the message to respond.
"C'mon y/n" Your head flings up at the sound of Anna's voice, "I got my card back, we should get going."
You nod, standing up from your seat, slipping your still open phone into the pocket of your jacket.
Joost lay on the stiff linens of a hotel bed. The lingering scent of his shampoo filled his nose as he took a deep breath, turning over his phone to check his notifications once again. Nothing.
It had been three hours and fifteen minutes since he noticed that you saw his response to your Instagram story, three hours and fifteen minutes since you saw his response and didn't respond.
He flips his phone back down, turning to his side, the pillow is damp against his face from his freshly washed hair. He closed his eyes and thought about that picture of you, how you smiled so wide, the way your eyes twinkled. He couldn't help but smile as he thought about it, it was almost like a reflex to him. Seeing you in such a state brought him an unexplainable warmth.
However, a part of him felt weird, a strange sense of yearning as he thought about the photo, Anna so close to you, the way you thanked her, complete with a heart. Part of him hoped that that was him taking you out to eat, him getting you to smile like that. But it wasn't, and it hadn't been him in a long time, and it wouldn't be, not for a while.
Of course, the two of you shared heartfelt messages with each other every day, and phone calls whenever you could. But it wasn't the same. It wasn't the same as being right there with you in person. It was hard for him, and he knew it was hard for you too.
In an instant, he's thinking about the last phone call you shared, just yesterday, the way you'd broken down in tears to him, about your workload, about how isolated you'd been feeling. He tried to keep composed, but he knew that he was part of the reason you were crying, though you never outright blamed him. All he could do was gently coo to you on the other end of the phone, softly pleading with you to not cry, that you would be alright. Truth be told he wanted to curl up and die in that moment. He'd never forget the sound of your wavering voice, the way it cracked just before a desperate sob clawed its way out of your throat, "I just miss you so much."
Part of him wondered if you would ever get sick of this if one day you would wake up and realize you didn't want a boyfriend who was gone all the time.
He had no problem with you spending a night out with your friends, in fact, he was ecstatic that you seemed to be having a good time, it was the fact that he wasn't able to share that good time with you that led to the sinking feeling in his chest that he felt now. You having left him on seen had only added insult to injury. If he really thought about it, he'd much rather feel this jealousy than have you cooped up in your empty apartment all night.
He shook his head, rolling onto his side, damning himself for feeling so selfish right now.
He turned his phone over once more, and the time flashed in front of him, 1:47 AM. Fuck. It was later than he thought. His jealousy was completely replaced by worry, and his stomach flipped. Surely it was far too late for you to still be at dinner, you'd told him you'd text him when you got home.
Anxiety set in as he began to weigh his options, either he could call you and potentially disturb your night out, or not call you, leaving you unbothered, but leaving him worried about where you were. After all, what if something happened, he'd never forgive himself for not calling.
He unlocked his phone, scrolling his recent calls so he could call you. He swore he could hear his heart beating as the phone rang, once, twice, three, four times-
"Hmm hi mmbaby." Your words are sloppy on the other end, and for a moment Joost worries that he may have woken you up, until he clocks the combination of the stifled thumping of music, and screeches of laughter.
"Hoi schat, where are you?" His eyebrows furrow
"I am..." You trail off, "I am at a bar, like, i think. I think two blocks from the restaurant- wherever I was." You sigh.
"Are you drunk, lieverd, who's there?" Joost cringes at his words, silently cursing himself for his interrogative tone.
"Ummm... Maybe a little, or a lot" You giggle, "And um- Anna, duh, and... Hanna..." You pause to laugh for a moment, "Anna and Hanna," You repeat, obviously fascinated with the rhyme, "And Zoë and Noor."
"Okay," Joost sinks into the bed, relief washes over him when he recognizes the names of who you're with. "I don't want to bother, I just wanted to make sure you're okay." He's timid, it's unlike him to be so quiet, his words softly tip-toeing around his true feelings, feelings of how bad he wishes it could be him you were out with right now.
"Okay?" You repeat with more emphasis, "Not ok...I am great!"
"That's good to hear." He hopes his jealousy doesn't peak through his short words, it feels terrible, his stomach has tied itself up in knots and the guilt he feels for feeling this way strangles him.
He thought about the nights the two of you would go out drinking together, the way your eyes would light up when a song you liked played, you'd grip his hand tight, forcing him out up so he could dance with you. He'd always end up more drunk off his love for you than he did from the alcohol, no matter how much he drank. By the end of the night, like clockwork, the bartender would be shouting that it was last call, and Joost would stand at the bar, taking the remaining sips of his final drink. Your head would rest against his arm, eyes barely open. You'd complain your feet hurt from all the dancing you'd been doing, your voice thick with intoxication and exhaustion. As the two of you headed out, he'd let you climb on his back so he could carry you to wherever the pair of you were going. He'd love nothing more than to feel that now, to feel the comforting weight of your body against his back, to feel your arms wrapped around his neck, your head nuzzled against him, the warmth of your breath tickling the skin of his neck.
"I'm so happy," You state, and Joost can almost hear your smile through the phone. "M'so happy. Love my friends."
"Sounds like they're taking good care of you,"
"Yes, such such good care of me, don't you worry - they will have me back home in one piece."
"Goed, will you be home soon?"
"Mmmprobably, my feet huuuurt." You whine, causing Joost to let out a small chuckle, like clockwork, "Nngh- If only I had a tall, handsome, strong, dutch man, preferably one who is blonde and has a mustache and is also named Joost Klein to carry me home." You sigh loud and dramatically.
Your words sting, Joost knows you don't mean them to, but he can't help but feel a twinge in his chest at how badly he wishes he were the one taking you home.
"I'll carry you wherever you want when I get home, to make up for my absence, you won't have to walk a single step ever again."
Joost's face lights up hearing you giggle on the other end, but suddenly your laughter dies down, and you sigh once more,
"I think- I should go,"
"That's alright, get home safe, ik hou van jou"
"I love you t-,"
"Eyy," Joost cuts you off, "In Dutch."
"Ik hou ook van jou."
Joost <3: Flight was cancelled, I don't know when I'll be able to get on another, het spijt me, I was really looking forward to seeing you tonight.
It had been a whole eight weeks that Joost had been gone, and as you stared down at the text you just received, it felt like if you had were to spend one more second apart from him you might just explode.
Sure a cancelled flight may only delay you seeing your boyfriend for a few hours, maybe a day at most, you could still feel the tears welling up in your eyes. It already felt so late, you didn't want to wait anymore. You tilt your head back, blinking rapidly to fight the small droplets pooling in your waterline.
Your phone chimes again.
Joost <3: I'll see you soon, I promise, Oké?
You're barely able to read the message through your wet eyes before there's a knock at your door. You sniffle, and quickly dry your tears, confused at who would be knocking on your door at this time. You slowly rise up from your bed, walking with trepidation towards the door.
You press your chest up against the door, closing one eye tight to look through the peephole. As your gaze adjusts, you feel your heart slip down to you the stomach it couldn't be.
Quick, trembling fingers are racing to unlock the locks of your apartment door before flinging it open. It was.
There Joost was, standing before you. A grin plastered onto his face, he'd been holding something in each hand, a bouquet of flowers in one, a bottle of wine in the other, but still his arms were stretched out, inviting you in for a hug.
Before you can even think of a word to speak you're running into his arms, wrapping your own arms around his torso. The familiar warmth of his body heat fills your body.
He must be able to hear the sound of your heart from how loud its beating, or at the very least, feel its rapid pulses against his chest. You nuzzle your face against him, taking in the gentle scent of his cologne. It's so familiar, and inviting, and you feel nothing but overwhelming love as you let Joost overwhelm your senses.
"You don't know how much I've missed you." His kisses pause for a moment as he mumbles against your hair.
"I've missed you too," You strengthen your grip around his waist, "So much."
"Let me put this stuff down so I can give you a real hug, ok?"
You don't want to let go, not even for a moment, you'd spent far too long without him, and you feared if you let him go, even just for a second, he would disappear again. Reluctantly, you let your arms fall from his torso, sighing at the lack of warmth you feel as your body separates from his. He steps around you, leaning over to kiss your cheek as he passes you, "Stay here,"
"Huh?" You question, about to step forward to follow him into your apartment.
"No, no no- stay there." Joost quickly whips his head back around, moving towards the kitchen counter to place the wine and the flowers. He looks up and smiles before heading towards you.
His arms wrap around your lower back, beckoning for you to jump a little so you can put your legs around his hips and he can carry you. Once Joost had you steadily in his arms, he walked forward, letting go with one arm to quickly shut the door behind the two of you before placing it back around you once more.
"I told you, you wouldn't have to walk when I get back,"
"Hmm, won't have to or won't be able to?" You smirk as you push your body against his, laying your head on Joost's shoulder, he shakes his head, clicking his tongue.
"Such a dirty mind." He chastises
You place soft, passionate kisses against Joost's neck, slowly trailing up to his jaw, before eventually planting a kiss on his lips. He wastes no time in kissing you back, his lips hungrily going after your own. Your hands find your way into his hair, your nails softly scratching at his head as gently pull at the blonde strands.
Joost breaks the kiss so he can turn around, placing you on the kitchen counter. He stands in front of you, in between your legs, you wrap them around him in an effort to bring him closer to you. Your head flips to the side,
"Are these for me?" you pull at one of the flower petals with your thumb and pointer finger, feeling its soft velvety texture.
"Of course, and the wine. Well, I guess that's for us. I'll order us some takeaway, I know it's not as going out- but I promise I'll take you out tomorrow, I'll make up for every second I was gone," Joost's fingers gently grip your jaw, pulling you to face him. Your eyes meet his, deep and blue, filled with a light you missed all too well, "I'm sorry, liefje, for making you so lonely."
"You know that's not your fault." You tilt your head, pouting at his consolation. His words cut, how could he blame himself?
"It's okay if you say it is," His hand trails up your face, resting his palm against your jaw, his thumb rubbing soft circles into your cheek, "You can tell me."
You stare at him with wide eyes, your brain searching for the right words to properly convince him that he has done nothing wrong.
"No," You manage to whisper, "You don't know how happy it makes me to know you're performing every night, to know you're doing what you love."
"But if I wasn't gone all the t-"
"I wouldn't trade this situation for the world." You cut him off, staring at him intensely, hoping to communicate how deeply you mean your words.
"Okay," Joost concedes, his voice quiet, he was never one to fight you on things, "But one day, when I make enough money, I'll take care of you," He cranes his neck, planting a kiss against the opposite cheek of where his hand rests. The stubble of his facial hair is scratchy against your skin, in an oddly comforting way, it's familiar, and it reminds you of your close proximity. You sigh, drinking in the intimacy of the moment as his lips lower to your neck. He pulls away briefly, "You won't have to work another second and I'll take you everywhere with me."
A soft smile pulls at the corners of your mouth, and you cannot help the heat that floods your body as you picture your future together. It's a comforting picture, and it makes all the waiting, all the lonely nights worth it.
Your hand reaches out, tugging at the thick fabric of his sweatshirt, attempting to pull him even closer to you, like you wanted your bodies to intertwine, to fuse and become one so you'd never have to be without him again.
"I can't wait," Your words are short, your breath getting caught in your throat as Joost nips at your neck. His lips are soft, soothing the tingling pinch of his teeth against your skin.
His breath is hot, and each kiss is filled with an ardent longing. Warmth spreads through your stomach as his hand slips to the back of your neck, his fingers thread through the strands of your hair, before tugging gently, careful not to hurt you. But it is enough to make your breathing shaky and you wonder if you're even going to get to break open that bottle of wine anytime soon.
You hope he leaves a mark against your neck, you hoped he'd leave many. If you were in any space to talk, you'd speak up and tell him as much, begging for a pretty purple and red reminder of where he'd been.
