Oh Joon-yeong x reader where the reader justs pulls him in for a kiss while they're studying
focused joon-yeong who has his head stuffed in some text book but you're so bored. "we've been studying for so long!" you whined but joon-yeong ignored you, to entranced by whatever he was copying into his flashcards. your lips were down turned into a pout. you rolled your eyes before leaning over the table and lifted his chin up with your finger. "what?" you didn't answer him, instead leaning forward and kissing his chapped lips. "fine we can take a break." he mumbled after he pulled away with a blush on his face.

Hi! Hope you're doing well ☺️. I would like to request headcanons for Ha Do-yeong and Jeon Jae-jun falling in love with the reader. She is from a rich family and Moon Dong-eun's friend who helped her in her revenge by getting married to Jae Jun. She doesn't really love him; she only got married to him to help Dong Eun. Even though he cheated on her with Yeonjin, he still loved her (toxic love) and was possessive over her. At one point, she met Do Yeong after he learnt about Yeonjin's infidelity. He fell in love with her too. Both men being obsessed with her and getting jealous of each other. Thank you ❤️
╰┈➤Having Jae-Joon and Do-yeong being obsessed with you
╰┈➤Author's Note: I didn't know how to end this so the ending might be bad.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You were a daughter of two very rich people.
Growing up, this caused many people to assume that you were snobby, spoiled, rude, better than everyone, a show-off
However, they were all wrong.
Despite having parents who had well-off jobs and made tons of money, they raised you to be polite, smart, respectful, manners.
Things that children of rich people do not have
When you got to highschool, many people believed that you would hang out with Yeon-jin and her friends.
Including Yeon-jin.
Except you didn't.
You wanted to be friends with people who wanted to be friends with you because you were like or because you had money.
That's when you become friends when Moon Dong-eun, who you became good friends with.
Dong-eun was a sweet girl, even though things at home weren't good, she was still the happiest girl.
Unfortunately, Dong-eun started to get bullied by Yeon-jin and her friends.
You did the best you could to help Dong-eun but when the bullies of your friend also have rich parents, they are able to get away with it.
This led to Dong-eun dropping out.
You weren't surprised that she decided to drop out and you didn't blame her.
You offered her place to stay at your home when she found out that her mother got up and left, leaving Dong-eun with no place to stay.
Dong-eun stayed for a few months before she left.
She thanked you for letting her stay at your home before leaving.
You and Dong-eun didn't talk much after that.
You and Dong-eun went your separate ways.
Until a year later, you receive a call from Dong-eun.
Dong-eun explains that she was planning to get revenge on her bullies back from highschool and was wondering if you were willing to help her achieve her plan.
You agreed to help her.
She asked you if you were willingly to marry Jeon Jae-Joon, not fall in love of course, but to get information from him.
You told her you'll try to get him to marry but you cannot promise he'll marry you.
Luckily, it was easy to trick Jeon Jae-Joon.
You met Jae-Joon at an exclusive gala organized by a mutual acquaintance, where your families were invited as prominent guests.
Jae-Joon, known for his charm and arrogance, approached you with a mix of curiosity and confidence, intrigued by your reserved yet commanding presence.
Despite his reputation, you managed to maintain your composure, impressing him with your intelligence and sharp wit during your conversation.
Unbeknownst to Jae-Joon, your encounter was preplanned by Moon Dong-eun, who saw this as the perfect opportunity.
Over the next few months, Jae-Joon pursued you relentlessly, enjoying the challenge of winning your attention.
Jae-Joon fell deeper for you, mistaking your calculated actions for genuine affection, while you maintained emotional distance to avoid unnecessary complications.
It takes long before Jae-Joon asked you to be his girlfriend.
Of course, you said yes.
Jae-joon believed that you actually love him.
You couldn't believe that Jae-Joon truly believes that you love him.
While you were with him, there was not much information to get from him to give to Dong-eun.
All of the information you received from him, Dong-eun already has.
You continue to stay with him to try to get more information from him.
For a year, you played the role of the perfect couple.
The tabloids adored you both, labeling you the power couple of the elite. Jae-Joon was possessive, yet he worshipped you.
Then, he proposed.
The wedding was grand, an opulent event attended by Seoul’s wealthiest.
You were the envy of many, draped in a designer gown, standing beside a man who claimed he would give you the world.
Still, no new information from Jae-joon.
It wasn't until two years later, you discovered information from Jae-joon.
Jeon Jae-Joon cheated on you with Park Yeon-jin, who is married to Ha Do-yeong.
Once you discovered it, you rushed to tell Dong-eun.
You didn't divorce Jea-joon after you discovered he cheated on you.
Your goal was to help Dong-eun get information Jeon Jae-Joon.
You couldn't divorce him despite one piece of information on him, you could find out more information about him.
A couple of weeks later, Moon Dong-eun tells you that Yeon-jin announced her pregnancy.
You ask Dong-eun if she believes the baby is Jae-Joon's.
Dong-eun wasn't sure if it was and has no way of knowing if the baby is Jae-Joon's but she will definitely keep that in mind.
Jae-joon continue to act like everything is completely normal, like he hadn't cheated on you.
Jae-joon continues to buy you bouquets of your favorite flowers, takes you out to dinner, etc.
A couple years later, Moon Dong-eun sets her plan into motions.
Everything began to fall right into place.
Ha Do-yeong
You knew who Ha Do-yeong was, CEO of a large construction company.
You have seen your father do business with him.
Do-yeong found out that Yeon-jin cheated on him with your husband.
Do-yeong knew Jae-Joon was married but didn't remember who Jae-Joon has married until he finds out that you are Jae-Joon's wife.
The moment Do-yeong saw you, he became infatuated with you.
You are the most beautiful woman he has seen.
Do-yeong come to you to ask you if you knew that your husband was teaching on you with his wife.
You smile as you told him that you did, you were the one who caught them together six years ago.
This confused Do-yeong. If you had known, why didn't you divorce Jae-Joon?
You revealed to him that you were working with Moon Dong-eun, a friend of yours who came to you for help to which you agreed to.
You amazed Do-yeong.
He didn't know what amazed him about you.
When Jae-Joon found out that Do-yeong was talking to you, he was angry.
Ha Do-yeong already took his daughter, now he is trying to take away his wife?
Jae-joon confronted Do-yeong on him talking to his wife.
He asks him what he does he thinks he's doing talking to his wife only for Do-yeong to ask Jae-Joon to ask him what he was doing with his wife.
Jae-joon didn't like that being thrown at his face .
Is this what Do-yeong felt when he found out that he was sleeping with his wife? Jae-joon asks himself the moment he actually realizes that you could leave him for Do-yeong.
Jae-joon tries to find ways to keep you away from Do-yeong but get Ye-sol back.
Do-yeong continues to talk to despite Jae-Joon threatening him to stay away from you.
There was on incident where Do-yeong and Jae-Joon had gotten into a fight with each other about you. (Do-yeong won).
You watch of all this go down.
All while you smile to yourself on how they fight over you.

The Glory -> You visit them in prison
Requested: No
Kdrama: The Glory
Genre: Angst. Fluff?
Warnings: Mentions of murder. Mentions of bullying. Mentions of death. No remorse. Swearing.
A/N: I absolutely do not condone anything that was presented in the kdrama. No one should ever bully others. This is all purely fiction.
Moon Dong-eun
Tumblr media
Dongeun had never been one to truly care about fashion, mainly because she only purchased items of clothing that could conceal the horrid burn scars that were inflicted on her during high school. However, it did not mean that she approved of the prison uniform that was currently fitted to her body. While the colour itself did not bother her, nor that it was a prison uniform, but it was rather the short sleeves of the uniform that bothered her.
Since the day Dongeun had received the burn marks from Yeonjin and the others, she has always covered them with long clothing. Ranging from long-sleeve dressed to oversized jackets and sweaters, Dongeun always made sure to hide her scars from the public eye, hating the looks of horror that were immediately scorned her way, constantly bringing a wave of humiliation to her.
She never should have been forced into the position where she feels that she has to constantly hide herself. She shouldn’t be fearful over the fact that someone could possibly catch a glimpse of her bare forearms in case they notice the first burn scar which had marked her collection. She should not living her life for the sole purpose of revenge, and yet it was the only thing which had kept her alive so far.
Dongeun stared blankly at you from the other side of the plastic screen in the visitation ward, your own face filled with obvious sadness with tears streaming down your face while you stared at her from your side of the screen. While her heart pinched at the sight of your tears, she did not allow herself to show any concern. Between the two of you, she had to be the strongest. You were already the more emotionally one between the two of you, so that meant that she had to be the controlled one.
“Dongeun...” You uttered, your bottom lip trembling after her name left your mouth, the anguish obvious to even the prisoner guard who was monitoring Dongeun’s visit with you. “I’m so sorry.”
“I have already said that it is not your fault Y/N. This was a possible risk.”
Dongeun had expected for Yeonjin to try use her means of wealth and resources in an attempt to stop her journey of revenge; however, she didn’t quite anticipate that she would manage to spin a made up story which incriminated Dongeun for supposedly blackmailing students at her workplace for some benefits. While there was hardly any evidence to the story, there was apparently some constructed proof, no doubt courtesy to Mr Chu who had some sort of vindictive grudge towards Dongeun for some whatever reason.
And so Dongeun was serving time for a crime that she did not commit, although she did not plan to stay for long.
“Still, so much has happened to you and yet-”
“One thing to know about revenge Y/N is that you should expect the unexpected. I had expected this, but did not anticipate in it actually happening.”
“Why are you so calm?!” You suddenly screeched, slamming your hand hard on the table that it echoed in the room.
Dongeun felt the gaze of the prisoner guard behind her, no doubt attempting to diagnose the cause of your temper flare, but Dongeun did not react. She instead continued to gaze at you with a blank gaze.
“I see no point in losing my temper over something that is inevitable. Becoming lost in a rage is not going to change the fact that I am in here.”
“But you didn’t do it!” You exclaimed, staring at her desperately as tears continued to escape. “You don’t deserve to be in here! Out of all people, it is Yeonjin and her whole group of asshole friends!”
You were not someone who habitually cursed, although it became a different story when you lost your temper. Even though it was hardly appropriate, a small smile found itself gracing Dongeun’s lips, her eyes lighting up slightly as she gazed at your frazzled appearance. You immediately furrowed your eyebrows when you noticed the small.
“Why are you smiling?”
“...I don’t know.”
It was true.
She didn’t know why she was smiling, but she had found that since meeting you, smiles have become a more frequent in her life. After her high school experiences with Yeonjin and the others, Dongeun could hardly feel any sort of happiness during her years into adulthood. Dongeun had to work to survive and survival hardly had any room for emotions such as happiness. Possibly the only form of happiness she felt was when she marked the start of her revenge plot against Yeonjin. Her laborious thoughts of revenge slowly started to become true, and the pieces slipping into place brought a sense of twisted glee to Dongeun, who has been a victim for Yeonjin far beyond their high school days.
And yet somehow and somewhat, she has found herself feeling a different sort of glee when she was with you. Although perhaps the correct word to use was contentment. She became somewhat content in your presence. Something she was not used to.
“There has to be something that we can do.” You said, ducking your head as you sniffled as your tears began to blur your eyesight, making you miss the tilt of Dongeun’s head as she looked at you. Dongeun reached out and tapped the transparent screen, the sound prompting you to lift your head again. She leaned in so that she could talk to you in a lower tone.
“There is nothing that we can do but wait. You must remain home and continue with your everyday life. You do not need to worry about me.”
You looked at her in slight confusion for a few moments before your expression suddenly hardened, your eyes becoming sharp despite the moisture in them.
“If you think that I am going to just leave you like this-”
“You are not because I will not be here for much longer.” Dongeun interrupted, a small gleeful smile gracing her lips again as her eyes lit up with small determination. “I already have a plan for my release, but it will take some time so I need you to continue living normally without me. You will hear more about it from me soon.”
“Dongeun...what are you-”
“I can’t tell you now but I promise that I will soon. Trust me Y/N...I have a plan for something like this.”
While Dongeun did not anticipate for herself to be put into this situation, it did not mean that she did not plan for the possibility. She had already started the process of her eventual release, courtesy of a certain doctor who was determined to be her executioner. Although while he did play an important part, he could not compare to you, her warden.
Her warden who did whatever they could to protect her, as expected of a warden. You guarded and protected, be it Dongeun or her proof for revenge. She trusted you and she knew that you trusted her to keep to her word and eventually tell you her plan. Although not for the moment. It was not the right time. She will tell you when the time is right, when there is no possibility of derailment.
Joo Yeo-jeong
Tumblr media
Despite the dark grey uniform that was clothing his body and the plastic screen that was separating him from you, Yeojeong couldn’t help but smile thoughtfully while you looked at him from the opposite seat, eyebrows furrowed at his expression.
“Why are you smiling?” You asked, your hand raised half in the air as you leaned back in your chair, fingers lazily moving against one another. His eyes brightened at your question.
“I’m happy.” He said, as if it was the most obvious answer in the world.
Although to Yeojeong, it was the most obvious answer in the world. He had finally done it. He had finally ended the life of his own tormentor. It took over two years but he eventually managed to see the light fade away from that animal that had ruined his entire life. He had so meticulous with his revenge. He at first started with the weekly medication that prisoners were entitled to have until eventually progressing to the food that he would eat. He maintained his professional facade the entire time, no one suspecting his true intentions.
He internally found delight in the wariness of the animal, cautiously stepping towards the counter to receive his medication, all while Yeojeong maintained his friendly demeanor. While he had smiled at tormentor, appearing friendly from the public eye, only he could recognize the iciness of the smile. Yeonjeong had promised him that he had to be careful when the two of them met again because then Yeojeong was going to mark the start of his revenge. He had promised that he was going to kill him and that nobody was going to suspect foul play because Yeojeong was a doctor.
It had worked for the whole two years. Yeojeong had made sure that the process was slow. He wanted to draw it out as much as he could because the animal did not deserve a quick death. He made sure that his father had choked on his blood, suffocating him and making his death panicked and painful with himself being the last thing that his father would ever see until he finally succumbed to his injuries. That was something that Yeojeong could never forgive. He could never forgive the monster who had created his father’s death, nor could he forgive that the betrayal he demonstrated by killing the doctor who had saved his life.
Yeojeong drew out his death deliciously, and when he finally stared down at the dying monster, he couldn’t help but smile. He had leaned down so that they were practically face-to-face, a calm smile on his face as he took in his moment of victory.
“Do you need me to give you something for the pain?”
The terror in his eyes were wonderful and nothing brought Yeojeong more delight than seeing the moment of death. He had finally completed his revenge. He avenged his father and his family. He managed to make the monster pay for all the pain he had caused Yeojeong and his family. He could finally move on with his life, with you and with his mother.
...Only he was eventually suspected of being the cause of the death.
It took some digging to eventually track down the proof that would give them the right to imprison Yeojeong. He did not even put up a fight when they had arrived with handcuffs. He did not feel any fear or sadness; however, he did feel a sense of guilt when he turned around to see you standing in the entryway of his home, having rushed from the table where the two of you were having dinner. He did make sure to utter an ‘I love you’ to you before he was hauled away, the officer reading out his rights as he was escorted out his home and towards the police vehicle which was waiting for him.
“...You are happy that you are in prison?” You asked, snapping him out of his thoughts as he began to recall his memory of his object of revenge finally becoming lost in the next realm, most likely to a fiery inferno. He smiled serenely at you.
“Not exactly.”
“...Then why are you happy?”
“I feel achieved.”
“I achieved?”
“Yes. I finally did it Y/N, I finally killed that monster. He’s dead and its all because of me. He feared for it. He feared for his death. He feared me. It was glorious.”
It was truly glorious. It was possibly the best entertainment that Yeojeong could ever have in his life. While it was expected for him to find a new means to entertain himself, nothing could ever compare to the two year game he had to play. It was wonderful.
Crack!
Yejeong suddenly jumped at the sound of your fist hitting the table, your facial features twisted harshly as you glared from your end of the screen, your jaw clenching tightly.
“Right. It was so glorious that you didn’t think of the possibility of getting caught, or even think about how this would affect me.” He furrowed his eyebrows at you, slightly confused. You scoffed at his expression. “Were you so obsessed with your idea of revenge that it didn’t even occur to you to even mention the fact that you were going on a whole revenge trip to kill a man?!”
Yeojeong felt his body tense defensively, his facial features hardening as he stared at you.
“It wasn’t just any man, he was the man that-”
“Yes I know that now Yeojeong, after I had to hear it from a detective! Don’t you think I had to right to know about your whole plan? Don’t you think that I had the right to know that you were trying to kill someone?!”
“...”
Yeojenong couldn’t help but stare at you with furrowed eyebrows, the suddenly posed question making him ponder to himself. Why hadn’t he told you about it? The two of you had steadily progressed in your relationship. You found him after Dongeun had suddenly vanished, and he found himself finding comfort and contentment in your presence, slowly but surely falling in love with you.
...But it did not occur to him to inform you of his plans.
He was unable to say anything because he didn’t know what he could say to placate you. It simply never did cross his mind, and you had been by his side for the past two years. Why didn’t he tell you?
His lack of an answer angered you and he couldn’t help but whip his head up at you as you stood up from your seat, shaking your head before sparing him with a final glance.
“Forget it Yeojeong.”
And then you left. Your shoes leaving an echoing sound in the room as you exited the through the door and slammed it shut, leaving Yeojeong behind in stunned silence.
Ha Do-yeong
Tumblr media
Doyeong could not stand the look that you were giving him from your side of the screen, your eyes glossed over with pity and fear for him; although he did not blame you since neither of you knew when he would eventually be let out. He let out a sigh and threaded his fingers through his hair, it becoming longer than usual due to the past time in the prison. While he could have it done, he has chosen not to. He decided that it was going to be one of the first things he was going to do once he released.
“How is Yesol?” He asked, looking at you with tense eyes as he waited for an answer. You sighed and leaned back in your seat.
“She is sad but she is doing okay, much better than I had expected. But she missed you. She misses her daddy. She doesn’t understand why you are in here...and I don’t know what to tell her.”
“Did you tell her what we had agreed on?” He asked, anxiety shooting through him at the thought of his daughter finding out the truth. You nodded.
“Yes. As far as she knows, you were put in here by mistake. That you were put in here by some bad people. But Doyeong, she is a lot smarter than you think. She has started asking me questions that I don’t know how to answer. She is going to eventually figure out the truth.”
“Yes but lets prolong it for just a bit longer. She already has a mother who is a bully and a murderer...me being a crook is not something that she needs to deal with. I know better than anyone that at times ignorance is simply bliss.”
“But Doyeong...it wasn’t even your fault.”
“But it is in the eyes of the law.”
Doyeong has always prided himself on his natural instincts towards certain topics because they had never failed him. From his business school years to the strong, effective progression of his company, Doyeong had always managed to trust his instincts to guide him along the correct path.
And yet that had incorrectly guided him into the arms of a black widow, better known as Yeonjin, childhood bully and adult terror. Doyeong could not believe that he was so blind to her true nature, even though he had fallen for her during their whole courtship. She was beautiful, it was obvious, and perhaps that was why he was so attracted to her in the first place. He liked them pretty. She had a charm about her which could not be easily replicated, and like a moth to a flame, he was drawn in, not realizing that he was going to be burnt nearly a decade later.
His instincts had started working again when Moon Dongeun had entered Yeonjin’s life again, which inevitably caused the woman to enter his own. He could not believe the cruel capabilities of his wife, inflicting such cruel harm onto somebody simply because she could. While Doyeong would hardly say he was an innocent student during his high school years, he would have never done anything that Yeonjin and her friends had done to Moon Dongeun.
What they had done to the woman...it was inhuman.
Doyeong was disgusted that he had married a monster. He wouldn’t even be able to call her a human because no human would be cruel enough to inflict such pain onto another. Yeonjin could not be classified as a human. She was an animal. A monster. Anything but a human. The only way Yeonjin preserved any form of her humanity was through the birth and upbringing of Yesol.
Despite her not being his biological daughter, she was the purest thing in the world. While she had her mother’s beauty, she did not possess her twisted personality. She was innocent, sweet, and naturally curious. She was such a sweet girl who loved dolls and soccer. She enjoys making food for him and you, the two of you often bonding in the kitchen and sharing smiles and laughter which couldn’t stop a smile crawling along his own face.
The last bit of innocence that Yeonjin had before it died in school was reincarnated in Yesol, and Doyeong was going to do his best to protect it. He was not going to allow her to become like either of her biological parents. It was a vow that he had made to himself.
“I’m sure your lawyers will find something. You were not the reason for the whole scheme. You didn’t even know that it was a scheme in the first place.”
“But I am the one who had signed the papers Y/N. In the eyes of everyone and the law, I knew exactly what was happening. My signature on the documents says it all.”
His instincts had failed him for the first time with his marriage to Yeonjin, and they failed him for the second time for his entrapment in a money laundering scheme that had been discovered.”
He should have known better than to sign. He should have had his people investigate the company even more, but the business people had done their homework carefully and meticulously. Doyeong would almost be impressed if he was not the one who was had become the drop man, taking all the blame and burden once the scheme was discovered. Even though his hands were clean, they were not in the eyes of the law, hence why he was locked up in prison in a visiting ward with you.
“Don’t lose hope Doyeong. The truth will come out. I’m sure of it.” You said hopefully, a resolute look in your eyes.
Doyeong gazed at you for a few moments, almost thoughtful because he could not understand why you were so hopeful in a time which seemed hopeless to him. His lawyers would have found something by now to prove his innocence, but they have found nothing. As far as he knew, he was stuck here and there was a possibility that he was never going to get out.
“...Let us hope so.” Doyeong said, forcing a small smile on his face as he gazed at you, leaning forward to rest his elbows on the table. “Please keep looking after Yesol for me.”
You flashed a small smile at him, shaking your head before leaning forward in return to be closer to him as best that you could.
“You don’t even need to ask me that Doyeong. Of course I will.”
Doyeong smiled in return, a more genuine one this time as he nodded gratefully to you, thankful to have someone like you in his life to man the ship outside the prison until he hopefully returns.
Park Yeon-jin
Tumblr media
The silence was eating away at Yeonjin, burrowing her out from the inside while she trembled in her seat, her fingers incessantly picking at her cuticles as she waited for you to speak. You have already been here for twenty minutes and had yet to answer a single question that Yeonjin had asked. She had assumed that it was because it was still a shock to you to see her in such a horrible dressing clothes. Yeonjin was still in a state of disbelief herself that she was wearing the prison uniform, the garment doing nothing for her but torment her for all the things that have happened to her ever since the arrival of that bitch Moon Dongeun.
She should have just killed her years ago...just as she did with Sohee.
But there was hardly any time for her to think about those two pathetic beings. You were here in front of her, the only person who would visit her. Sara she knows is locked up somewhere for her stupid drug addiction, as well as stabbing that backstabber Hyejeong in the neck. Yeonjin sincerely hopes that she bled out or swallowed the whole pencil whole. And Jaejun hadn’t even bothered to show his face. But he was literally the last person she wanted to see her like this. It was humiliating enough for that damned Moon Dongeun to see her like this...that pathetic bitch deserved to die for everything that she has done to her.
Her perfect life was shattered the second that bitch had stepped foot back into that school hall.
Her nerves were already on the edge with being in this prison, the vilest of women residing in here that one could mistake them as the slugs on the garden wall that has been residing there for generations. They disgusted her and sharing her living quarters with them horrified her. There was no sense of elegance or luxury. She had no reason for being here. She did not deserve to be here. It was all because of that damned scarred bitch. She should be the one in this damn prison for ruining her life.
The only thing that could give her some sense of reprieve was you, but your silence was making her hell even more torturous. She hasn’t spoken to anyone since her arrival. They were not people who she could converse with, or even want to converse with. Tossing backwater in the dryers with Hyejeong would have been more enjoyable that interacting with those disgusting slug women. You were the only one in the prison who was worth her time and sanity, and yet you are not speaking to her.
She has sent you letters and yet you have not answered them. Yeonjin felt like she was going mad here. You were the only form of sanity that she had left in this hell. You were the only reminder of her previous utopia before she ended up in here. You were her past life. She wanted it back. She wanted you.
“Y/N...speak to me already.” She said, letting out a nervous laugh as she looked at you, expression tightened seriously as you stared at her. “Do you have news for me? Have my lawyers said anything? How is Yesol, is she-”
“You don’t have to worry about Yesol. Doyeong is taking care of her.” You suddenly interrupted, finally speaking your voice after the last twenty minutes. Yeonjin flinched at your hard voice, but she immediately fixed her attention on you.
“T-That’s good. Y/N I am telling you that this place is my living hell. You have to talk to my lawyers and get them to-”
“What lawyers Yeonjin? In case you had forgotten, the lawyers that were helping you out were hired by Doyeong. You don’t have a single cent to spend on a lawyer, not even a public one.” You snapped, your voice sharp as a knife as you glared at her from your side. Just the sound of your hard voice and glare immediately made Yeonjin tighten up defensively.
“What do you think you are saying to me? Y/N I swear-”
“What can you do Yeonjin? You are in there and I am out here. There is literally nothing that you can do to me. Nothing.”
Your sudden hiss took Yeonjin aback completely, her eyes widening at the harsh way that you were talking to her. You have never spoken to her in this manner before. You have always been more soft spoken , submissive to Yeonjin in a sense, but it was the way Yeonjin liked you because you always made her feel more powerful and worshiped. Your eyes were always filled with awe and adoration when you saw her...and yet the only thing she could see in them were ice.
“I don’t have time for this. So I’m just going to give it to you straight. I’m leaving.” You announced, checking your watch for good measure before glancing at Yeonjin again, showing no reaction to her stunned expression.
“...What? What do you mean?” Yeonjin questioned, her eyebrows furrowing as she sat frozen in her seat, a wave of anxiety slowly building up with her the longer she continued to stare at you. You sighed again.
“I got a job offering overseas. I’m going to take it.”
“You can’t.”  Yeonjin immediately snapped, shaking her head as she stared at you with hard eyes, the wave getting bigger within her. “You can’t go anywhere.”
“Newsflash Yeonjin, it is not up to you. And even if it was, there is literally nothing you can do to stop me from leaving.” You snapped, leaning down to grab your bag. The sight of you gathering your belonging immediately made a snap of panic through Yeonjin’s body, making her leap out of her chair and completely pressed against the screen, her action making you startle as she pressed her palms against the plastic and dug her nails against the surface.
“What the hell do you think you are saying? You can’t leave! What about me? Did you fucking think about me?!” She screeched against the screen, her entire body trembling as she stood before you in a deranged state, the sight making your eyes widen for a second before hardening the next. You stood up from your seat.
“All this time I have thought about you and it led me to accepting the job. What did you expect Yeonjin? Did you expect me to come here everyday to see you when it is a known fact that you are never going to get out?”
“I am going to get out! I am going to-”
“Wake the fuck up Yeonjin! You are never getting out! You fucking killed people! You literally bullied people so badly that they much preferred death than spending another second living in the same world as you! And whats worse is that you don’t even feel remotely sorry for what you have done! It’s disgusting, and I can’t believe that I fell for you in the first place!”
Yeonjin could see it. Your lack for love for her. The previous affection and adoration you had for her before was completely vanquished from your body. All she was staring at was an ice cold individual who looked disgusted at the very sight of Yeonjin. She hated it. She detested it. It fucking terrified her. And it terrified her even more when you turned around and started to walk away from her.
“Yah! Where are you going?! Where the fuck are you going?! You can’t leave me here! You bitch, you can’t fucking leave me!”
Even when Yeonjin heard the shout of the prison guard behind her, she did not stop punching the plastic screen separating you and her from one another. You didn’t even turn back to look at her as she cursed and screeched at you. The sound of the door slamming as you exited the room was almost as lethal as a bullet to her heart. A bullet would have been less painful than the fact that you had presented her.
You were leaving.
And she had just been left behind.
Jeon Jae-jun
Tumblr media
Prison did not suit him.
Jaejun has gone through literal hell being here, especially when it was discovered that he was a part of the higher society than the fucking animals that resided in these walls. The stunts that have pulled on him day and night, it was enough to make him to want to smash his fucking head against the concrete walls.
He was pissed over the fact he was in here in the first place. He paid a shit ton to his lawyer and men to make sure that all of his finances were clean, but its seemed like that asshole Myeong-oh purposefully left some documents laying around which allowed Jaejun to get arrested for tax evasion. He had been so fucking careful but the mess up by one asshole had brought him to a literal downfall.
If that asshole Myeong-oh wasn’t already dead, he would have fucking killed him.
You have tried your best to help him get through this, visiting him nearly five times a week to keep him some sort of company, although it hardly did shit because in the end you were able to leave this hellhole while he had to stay behind and deal with the down dogs that he was sharing his living quarters with. It also didn’t fucking help that you brought along his lawyer, attempting to keep him updated with his bail process but it kept coming to a damn dead end.
“If you want me to be realistic...you have about a 20% chance on being granted bail.” His lawyer said, his matter-of-fact tone making Jaejun tighten his fists in anger as he stared across from you and him from his side of the visitation table. He noticed you flash his lawyer a disheartened look before it brightened into a hopeful expression as you turned to look at Jaejun.
“But that is still better than nothing. I’m sure a miracle can happen and-”
“I don’t believe in fucking miracles Y/N. You fucking know that.” Jaejun snapped, shifting his gaze at you with a sharp edge. You immediately flinched at his tone and look, making him sigh and shaking his head to try get a hold of himself. ‘Forget it.”
“Jaejun, I-”
“Get out.” Jaejun suddenly ordered, snapping his head up at attention.
He noticed your eyes widened at his sudden order, shock and fear evident in them before they eventually settled away when you realized that he was not talking to you but to his lawyer. His lawyer was startled by Jaejun’s sudden harsh look on him, making him shift uncomfortably in his chair.
“Listen Jaejun, I know it is tough, but I-”
“Are you fucking deaf? I said get out!” Jaejun screeched, kicking his legs out for good measure as he shared at his lawyer, who immediately shot from his seat and scurried out of the room, leaving you and Jaejun alone. Once he disappeared from sight, Jaejun slumped into his seat, exhaustion suddenly washing over him.
“...Jaejun?” You meekly called out, causing him to lift his head in question as he took in your small frame. He sighed again before repositioning himself and staring at you with a solemn expression.
“How is Yesol?” He asked, anticipating and anxiety building up in his stomach as he looked at you for answers.
That was probably the worst part about him being in prison. He was missing out on his time with being with Yesol. The little girl was nearly the spitting image of Yeonjin when they were kids, but she no doubt had his adorable looks. He was a cute kid back in the day, and it was a no brainer for his kid to be adorable, which Yesol has evidently proven because she is the cutest thing that he has ever seen in his life. He was making a plan for her to finally become his, for the two of them to finally become a family. He wasn’t going to be an uncle to her anymore, he was going to be his father.
And Meyong-oh fucked up his plans perfectly with this fucking stunt.
You seemed almost hesitant to answer, glancing around nervously before you cleared your throat and slowly grabbed your bag and dug through its contents before pulling out your phone. He watched you unlock it and slide your finger across the screen multiple times before finally turning it around to show him a picture of Yesol in her soccer uniform, a smile on her face as she kicked a ball. A smile immediately crawled along Jaejun’s face as he looked at the photo, a light feeling filling his chest the longer he looked at it.
“She is adorable.” He uttered, genuine happiness evident in his face as he continued to look at the photo. “You got any more?”
“I...no.” You confessed, tugging your phone back and clutching it to your chest. “I...I got caught by the security guard and he tossed me off the grounds.”
“...Why the fuck did he do that? What right does he have?!” Jaejun suddenly yelled, picturing a large, beefy man forcefully pulling you away from the soccer field and Yesol.  You looked at him meekly.
“I...because I wasn’t a parent, and...it also doesn’t help that I...I...”
“...You what?” Jaejun said, narrowing his eyes at your sudden nervous stammer. You gulped at his glare and didn’t say anything for a few moments before finally speaking again.
“I...got a restraining order against me for Yesol.”
...
“WHAT?!”
This time Jaejun leapt up from his seat as he screamed, making the prisoner guards immediately rush at him to force him back but he shook them off, snapping that he was fine before taking a seat again. His breathing was suddenly very uneven due to the progressive boiling of his blood.
“Why the fuck is there a restraining order against you?!”
“I...people started noticing me take photos of Yesol...and...and they found it suspicious and told Doyeong. He is the one that issued it against me.”
“That fucking asshole!” Jaejun screeching, earning himself another scolding yell from the prisoner guards which made him turn around to glare at all of them before turning back to you. “Can you reverse it?”
“W-What?”
“I asked if you can fucking reverse it. Can you?”
“I...I don’t know.”
“Then you better fucking find out! I need you to keep an eye on Yesol for me while I’m in this fucking hellhole. You need to get it reversed!”
“...I just told you that I got a restraining order against me...and you are concerned about Yesol?”
The look you gave him was a mixture of shock and disbelief, something which did not stir right with Jaejun. He cursed and rubbed his face before looking back at you.
“Listen, I know its bad but I need you to keep watching Yesol for me. Talk to my lawyer and he can start the process with reversing it. Out of all of this, Yesol is the most important person here.”
“...Jaejun, I can’t just break a restraining order. I...I’ll get into real trouble if I do.”
“So what! It’s for Yesol!” Jaejun suddenly screamed, making you jumping in your seat. “She’s my fucking daughter. Why the fuck wouldn’t you break a stupid piece a paper for her?!”
“Because she is not mine!”
Jaejun froze when the words left your lips. You also froze the moment you realized what you had said, staring wide-eyed at Jaejun before scurrying out of your seat, bag and phone gripped tightly in your hands. You shook your head at him as you slowly began to back away.
“I’m sorry Jaejun...but I can’t do it.”
You flashed him a remorseful look before scurrying away, leaving him in stunned silence until his mind finally clicked with your words, causing him to lash out and deliver several sharp punches against the plastic screen until he was forcefully restrained by the prisoner guards, your name leaving his mouth as he shouted blue murder as he was dragged away from the visitation room.
Lee Sa-ra
Tumblr media
Sara could not stop shivering. It was not because it was cold but because her body was yearning for the sustenance she has been relying on for nearly eighteen years. She couldn’t help but dig her fingers into her hair, tugging at the strands harshly, feeling her scalp burn from the intense amount of force she was using. It was not much but it was a small sense of relief, but it did not do the job like the real thing did.
The tremors wouldn’t stop and Sara felt like she was losing her grip on her sanity the longer she stayed cooped up in this hellhole with no form of entertainment, inspiration, or pleasure.
“...Sara?”
...There was perhaps only one form of pleasure that she found in this hellhole and that was when you decided to visit her.
Sara raised her head from its hiding place on the table surface, her arms creating a tent over her head to protect her from the daylight while her hair hung loose around her face, curtaining her from the offensive sunlight. Although even though her hair was in her eyes, it did not properly conceal her vision of you, your beautiful face staring at her with worried eyes as you sat from side of the screen. A crooked smile crawled along her face along with an empty cackle as she released her hair and sat up more straightly in her seat.
“You are so pretty.” She uttered, cackling afterwards before leaning her cheek against her palm as she gazed at you lovingly.
But you did not flush like you usually did when Sara commentated on your beauty, you instead look even more worried. You scanned her shivering body from what you could see from the barrier between the two of you before looking back at her, your hand gliding along the table surface towards the plastic screen.
“Sara...” You said softly, your eyes intensifying in their worry as your fingertips reached the plastic, tapping rhythmically against them as you continued to gaze at her. “Are you okay?”
“...Do I look okay?”
Instead of saying the words with a harsh bite, Sara instead lowered her arm and face to the table, resting her chin against her flat forearm with her eyes drifting towards your tapping arms.
tap. tap. tap. tap.
tap. tap. tap. tap.
She started tapping her own fingers in time with yours, matching their beat. The action made you sigh before you looked at her sadly.
“...No, you do not look okay.”
“...”
Sara didn’t say anything. She instead kept her focus on the tapping beat between your and her fingers.
tap. tap. tap. tap.
tap. tap. tap. tap.
“Is there not anything that the doctors can give you? A pill, a sedative, or something?” You asked, genuine concern in your voice.
...Laughter broke out of Sara’s mouth before she could say or do anything else. She simply couldn’t control it. She turned her head into the table and continued to laugh into it for a good few minutes before finally turning her head back to face you, your eyes wide in horror as Sara continued to cackle over your suggestion.
“Sorry baby...but who in the hell is going to give someone like me a drug for my nerves? They are the reason I am here in the first place.”
Sara had to admit that Moon Dongeun really did play her into her tricky little web despite their best efforts to not be caught by the damn black widow. When she had said that she had come for revenge, she was not joking and Sara was paying her apparent price for the stupid things they had done to her when they were in high school. The thought of the woman immediately made Sara’s smile disappear, the action not going unnoticed by you as you moved your hand to instead press it fully against the plastic screen, your palm pressed against it.
“Sara, I’m worried about you.”
“Aww...that’s sweet.” Sara teased, cackling again as she pressed her cheek against her forearm to gaze at you horizontally, her own hand moving to press against the plastic screen to cover yours.
So close and yet so far.
“Sara I’m serious.”
“So am I.”
“I can’t stand seeing you like this.” You finally confessed, moving your hand from the screen to instead press your fingers into the speaker wholes that were provided in the screen. Sara didn’t hesitate to move her own hand until her fingertips were finally touching yours.
Her tremors stopped for a small moment. Her body responding to the small hint of warmth that you provided to her, the only kind of relief that she could find in this prison.
“...If you hate seeing me like this, why do you come?”
“Because I miss you.” You said immediately, your finger tips tightening over the edges of the plastic holes in the screen.
Sara gazed at you intensely, her previous lighthearted staring evaporated as she critically analyzed you from where you sat until finally softening her feature. Her tremors were subsided for the first time in weeks since she had been in here. For one moment, her mind finally felt at peace, and her body warmed at the single touch that your fingertips gave hers.
“I miss you too.”
“You will get out soon Sara, I know it.”
“...I hope so.”
Choi Hye-jeong
Tumblr media
The cut on her lip still stung when she spike, and her left eye was almost completely swollen shut, making it difficult for her to even see you as you sat in the visitors seat while she sat on the opposite end. You didn’t even try to mask the gasp that had left your lips the second you saw her enter the room, the sound of it already breaking what was left of her already broken heart, which has been stomped on, cut, and bruised during her whole situation her.
Hyejeong felt like she was going to die. Death was quite possibly the only way that she would be able to save herself from this hell.
That damn Moon Dongeun...she completely ruined her life. She should be married by now, she should be on her honeymoon, being lavished in money and luxury while she would eagerly be awaiting to return to the city to be able to spend the rest of her time with you. She had it perfectly planned in her head, it was almost achieved too, but then she found herself suddenly being handcuffed by the police and led to a police vehicle and taken to the station for intense police questioning.
Hyejeong literally thought that her whole word was grinding to the edge of the universe when the words ‘accessory to murder’ had left the detective’s lips, along with the name of Sohee, who has been dead for practically eighteen years. Hyejeong immediately denied everything, refusing to accept any responsibility that Yeonjin had created when she decided to end the life of the high school student. But apparently there was proof for Hyejeong’s participation in the murder...even though there was no possible way for her to be involved with it because she was not there.
It had then dawned on Hyejeong that she was being framed by none other Moon Dongeun, the promise of revenge by the woman immediately ringing true as Hyejeong found herself being transported to a cell for the night until she was eventually transported to the prison. By the time she was eventually given the opportunity to call you, she had already been shipped off to the prison had been exposed to the multiple initiations of the women's prison.
“Hyejeong...” You uttered her name in such an anguished voice, the sound of it sending a wave of hurt and humiliation over her body as she ducked her head to avoid looking at you. “W-Why...”
“Because the people here are sick.” Hyejeong answered, not bothering to look up at you as she did not want to see the full damage to her face so up close.
“Hyejeong...” She heard a tremor in your voice and she glanced up to see tears forming in your eyes, your bottom lip trembling as you stared at her with a heartbroken expression. You lifted your hand and pressed it against the screen, your palm face her, almost as if you were trying to reach out to her. “Hyejeong...I am so sorry.”
“Don’t look at me with those eyes.” Hyejeong snapped, not reacting to your reaching hand as she ducked her head even further, her own hands tightened into fists in her lap as humiliation and pain continued to wash over her despite her attempts to stop it. “I can’t stand it.”
“Hyejeong-”
“Stop pitying me.” Hyejeong ordered, lifting her head to glare at you but then quickly returning it to its previous position in order to continue hiding it from you. She heard you tap against the screen.
“I’m not pitying you.”
“Yes you are.”
“No I’m not Hyejeong. I’m heartbroken for you.”
“That isn’t any better.”
“Dammit Hyejeong, you don’t deserve this!”
Your raised voice made Hyejeong raise her head to gaze at you in surprise, not expecting you to raise your voice so suddenly. You were breathing heavily on your end, tears running down your cheeks with your bottom lip still trembling. With her eyes on you, you swallowed thickly before adjusting your hand on the plastic screen so it was not directly between the two of you. It was instead resting on the lower part of the screen where it met the table, your arm laying flat against its surface.
“Out of all five of you, you are not the one who deserves to be in bars. It is all four of the others who deserve to be here. Not you.”
Hyejeong knew that she did not deserve to be here. While she was a part of Yeonjin’s gang when they were in high school, she was not the one who had done all the stuff to Sohee, Dongeun and all the others. She was just watching. That is what she did best. She was not actually the one who had participated in all the stupid things they did when they were kids. She was not the one who killed someone, it was Yeonjin. So it was complete injustice to her to be locked up like some kind of animal, beaten down constantly while the rest of the others were outside living their lives.
None of them even bothered to see her, which clearly told her that she was no longer obligated to save them from the wrath of Dongeun anymore.
“...I hate them.” Hyejeong confessed, finally moving her hand to cover yours against the screen. Your expression grew dark as you nodded.
“I hate them too.”
“I hope Dongeun will bring hell on all four of them. In fact, she can take them to hell with her.”
“And I will get you out of here Hyejeong. If it is the last thing I’ll do, I will get you out of here.”
“...”
Hyejeong tensed her fingers as they pressed against yours against the screen, her own hand aching from her defensive attempts during her time here, her knuckles covered in bruises which you had not yet noticed.
“...Please take care of me.”
“I will Hyejeong, I will.” You promised, it being the only form of comfort that Hyejeong could take while she was trapped in this hellhole.
She hoped that Yeonjin and the others burned in hell for this...and from what she has learnt so far, Moon Dongeun was effective in her revenge so she could only imagine what she had in store for those other assholes. Guess she did have a small comfort to think of during her time here. Hopefully it was be as good in person as it is in her head. Guess she will have to wait to find out.

Moon Dong-Eun
I’ve been a great help to Y/N for quite many days. I finished tutoring Min-hee and helped her get into the Semyeong Elementary School. On the other hand, I helped Y/N move into her new apartment. After finishing helping her settle, I got her the job at the convenience store. The old lady was really nice and that she told us that she was in need of another helper since she couldn’t handle everything all alone. All the supplies for the school and the transportation services were done by me.
After everything was done, I brought Y/N to my apartment. She was caught off-guard due to all the pictures of them attached to the walls in front of her.
“You did quite the research, didn’t you? You weren’t kidding back then when you told me you tracked each and every step they took,” she said as she slowly approached a picture of the group together in their teens. She was reading the sticky notes that I attached on some of the pictures when she saw a polaroid of her when she was young, followed by few other pictures of her from the current time, along with her niece. She also saw a few photos of her families before and after they separated. She stood in front of those and rubbed her finger gently on an image of a girl I believe was her sister.
“You didn’t leave me out as well,” she said as she turned around to meet my eyes. “I have every reason to be mad at you, Dong-eun, but at the same time, I don’t. I can simply report you to the police for stalking me and immediately put an end to your years’ effort, but at the same time, I can’t. I can easily walk out of this place and quit participating in your plan, but I don’t wish to. Because I trust you, Moon Dong-Eun. Not only am I risking my own life, but also Min-hee’s life. Once they find out about her, they will use her against me as my weakness. So make sure you prove me wrong and help us not get caught.”
After hearing those words from her, that’s when I knew I did the right thing involving her in this. She’s aware of the environment she’s getting herself into and knows how to take the necessary precautions, and not just an airhead with the lust for revenge.
“I knew you would feel this way once you notice those pictures. But I couldn’t help it either. When we were in school, you never bought a cell-phone for yourself. So it was quite difficult to track you down.”
“I would rather call it stalking than tracking down, Dong-eun,” she said as she turned away from me to look back at those images. I couldn’t say anything since she made a fair point. But I didn’t have any other choice either.
“I don’t recognize her. Who’s she?” She points out to a picture of Hyeon-nam.
“That’s Kang Hyeon-nam. She works for me as my assistant. She’s the one who helped me land the job as a homeroom teacher. She’s also the one who ‘stalked’ you.”
“Huh, interesting,” she said as she removed her finger from the picture and placed her hands inside her pockets. “I would like to get to know her.”
“You will when the time is right.”
I walk towards the kitchen as she moves from the wall to the window, her eyes never taking it off of those images.
I placed a small security camera at the top shelf in my kitchen, making it unnoticeable, and connected it with my phone. I took out another small box that contained another security camera and handed it to Y/N.
“There’s a possibility of them finding out about our address once they get to know about our plans. So take this, and install this somewhere where nobody will notice it. And don’t be surprised when one of them or all of them enters your house when nobody’s there.”
“Alright,” she takes it from my hand and puts it back into her satchel.
“Come on, let’s go to the roof.”
“The roof?”
“Yeah, I want to show you something.”
“Okay,” she walks past me towards my door. I unlock the door open as she busies herself in putting her shoes back on. As we got outside, I locked it behind me and walked towards the elevator.
We got inside the elevator and pushed the button to go upwards.
“Did you get the invitation for the Alumni Awards?”
“Sorry, what?”
“The Alumni Awards ceremony at Sung-han High. It’s in a few days.”
“Oh yeah maybe I did. I haven’t checked it yet.”
“Am thinking of going.”
“Wait, they’re going to be there too, wouldn’t they?”
“Yes. You need to come as well.”
“What’s the use? We aren’t even getting any awards?”
“It’s not about awards, Y/N, it’s a game of intimidation.”
She kept staring at me as if I said something illegal that deserves life in prison. We didn’t talk for a while.
The elevator came to an abrupt halt and the doors slowly opened before us. We stepped outside and climbed few more stairs to finally get to the roof.
It was a beautiful evening with the sun just setting, the color of the sky a perfect hue of flame. We came near the edge that overlooked the houses that stretched far beyond our vision. The tall buildings at far distances created just the flawless silhouette I’ve ever witnessed. Everything about Semyeong just felt so beautiful at the moment. I never took some time for myself to appreciate how exquisite this place this. The ordeals I faced here, never actually gave me any time to appreciate anything about my life.
“You see the house there?” I points to the one nearby.
“Yeah, what about it?”
“That’s where Yeon-jin lives.”
The perfect moment she was in immediately faded when she heard her name.
“That’s where she lives?”
“Yes. Ha Ye-sol, Ha Do-yeong, Park Yeon-jin, all under the same roof.”
She looked at me with her bewildered eyes, a face of the scared.
“But-then why did you buy this apartment? Wont they find out easily?”
“Not so easily Y/N, she has no clue whatsoever. She still thinks that she can get away with anything. She never learns.”
She looks back at the house. The lights on the road and inside the house lit up as it got darker. We didn’t talk for a while. The sun had set a while ago. Everything is just happening so fast, it’s making me feel overwhelmed, but I didn’t think of telling that to Y/N, otherwise she would be scared too, almost like how a mother deep down feels scared for their children but acts like there’s nothing wrong, just for them to not get scared.
It’s been my dream, for so many years, to stand here and watch over all of them, behaving as if they did absolutely nothing wrong, as if, they can get away with anything they want. Little do they know, that am right here, right in front of them, to prove them wrong.
“The day I dropped out from Sung-han High, I went to meet them, at the gym.”
She removed her hands from the edge and turned to look at me.
“What?”
“Yes. That day, I felt something new, some kind of new change in myself, something a bit evil.”
“Evil?”
“Yes. Almost like, the end of their reign, but a beginning of my hell.”
“What happened that day?”
“That day, was the only day I entered the gym voluntarily. Nobody forcibly dragged me there, I went in completely on my own. I remember so clearly, as I walked in, Hye-jeong started walking away from me, as if she was scared of me. But I ignored her, and went straight to Yeon-jin, sitting at her usual place. The weirdest part is, we talked about our dreams.”
“Dreams?”
“Yeah, they submitted their “dreams” at Cyworld, and I read all of them, told them about those that day. Yeon-jin dreamt of becoming a wise mother and a wife, Choi Hye-jeong dreamt of becoming a stewardess, Jeon Jae-joon wanted to own the golf course, and Lee Sa-ra dreamt of being an artist. Obviously, they asked me about my dream as well.”
“So what did you say then?”
“Yeon-jin,” I said with a pause. “I told her that she was my dream, and that I really wish to meet her again.”
“So all of our dreams finally came true.”
“Indeed. And I wish to bring them to their knees and show them no mercy.”
She turned around to look at me again, but I didn’t. I haven’t taken my eyes off of that house.
“Does Ha Do-yeong have the slightest idea that he married a monster?”
“He doesn’t, but he will soon. And so will Ha Ye-sol. I wish to isolate her to the point that the people she holds dear, the ones who covered up her crimes, will give up on her. Soon then she will feel like the only human on this planet, she would become completely transparent. All of her crimes and secrets will show up and she will rot in hell. Nobody will ever even think, of helping her. You can never change a monster, Y/N, never.”
She stares at me for a while and then looks away. The air was filled with aroma of the potted plants behind us.
“Do you wanna know what Myeong-oh’s dream was?”
“What?”
“To become rich.”
She began eyeing me from the side when we burst into laughters. When was the last time I laughed like this?
We took a breather to stop ourselves from more laughing. It was quite hilarious how Myeong-oh dreamt of becoming rich yet here he is, working as Jae-joon’s lackey.
“Alright then. I guess I’ll see you on the awards day.”
“Yeah.”
We went back the same way we came to the roof. Climbed down the little flight of stairs and got into an elevator to the ground floor.
I saw her out and got her a cab. As I went up to my apartment, I was thinking of how I could have told her about the meeting I had with Myeong-oh few days ago. I will tell her when the timing is right. I bribed him enough to keep him in suspense—he will also be the one to know who murdered Yoon So-hee, hopefully.

Summary: Class 2-2's Vice President: VP.
In which the sensible Vice-President does their best to keep their little band of survivors alive.

Chapter One
Harabeoji lays on the hospital bed, unaware that the world continues without him.
You're his only visitor today. The room is cold, and his heart monitor fills the silence since you won't.
You don't know what to say, where to start.
Do you tell him that he needs to wake up? That since he fell sick, your step-grandmother used his coma as an opportunity to move everyone from your family home (sans yourself) and that her son, your half-uncle and proxy, is already making deals to have the line of succession passed to him instead?
Seoul is too far from Hyosan for you to visit him, to remind him to keep fighting and to keep vigil at his bedside, but they moved his treatment here anyway. Have already brought themselves a sky-line apartment right in the centre.
If you told him that they've left you alone, that they've left you behind, would that be enough to wake him up?
On your lap, you've brought a collection of Western comic books you've been reading to practise your English and since you need to fill the quiet somehow, you pick one out to read:
The Walking Dead, it says.
If Harabeoji finds your pick distasteful, he doesn't say.
(You wish he would).
Tumblr media
In a class-room setting, the Vice-President is meant to ensure that there is strong communication between the Class Reps and the President. When the President is absent, it is up to them to act in their stead. To lead the class through ever-changing situations with a clear head and mature outlook.
At times, you enjoy being responsible for such tasks. The position gives you a sense of purpose on days when you feel set adrift, makes you feel more present as you tend to your responsibilities and resolve minor conflicts. Those are the days you feel like an ordinary student, responsible only for the happenings of your class.
Other times however, it's a bitter reminder. Of Harabeoji who's counting on you to do good, of the dynasty you're set to inherit in his name and of the interests you've had to sacrifice in favour of activities more appealing for Universities overseas. Like being Vice-President.
Joon-Yeong insists you should have been Class President when the positions are first announced. It's unfair Nam-Ra gets the position because of her Mother's bribery when you're not only first in class but have given up more to commit to your school's night self-learning programme and your new role.
He says it with an air of indifference as he crosses his arms, but his eyes burn behind his glasses. You think it's because losing the Presidency to a friend will make the loss hurt a little less, and because it would excuse you from not hanging out with him and the others as much as you used to.
You don't point it out to him, though. Joon-Yeong has to come to his own conclusion for things to stick. Instead, you make a show of pointing your finger right at his nose as you order him–and the others watching–to call you "VP" henceforth.
It's not much, but if you show that you're not upset with the position you're given then your friends have no grounds to be angry on your behalf. You just hope that overtime, they'll come around about the Class President you do have in the meantime.
You did in the end, hadn't you?
Tumblr media
Speaking of your Class President, Nam-Ra always complains about the music playing on your headphones whenever she slides into her seat next to you, but it doesn't stop her from leaning over your textbook to assess your work.
You respond by turning your volume all the way up so the melody of Auld Lang Syne rattles your ears, mouth curling when she nods begrudgingly at your answers.
There isn't much she'll find to begin with, but it's routine; Nam-ra grumbles about your music in the morning as she looks over your work (way better than her rhythm techno beats, mind you), and you pretend this isn't her odd way of showing her friendship.
Silently, you offer her a piece of Poki from your half-opened bag, your own show of friendship, and she accepts the treat after a long, drawn out moment. Even though she doesn't say anything, you can see her face soften in the corner of your eye, and beyond the obvious, you're glad that she's not actually mad about your song choice for today.
"Wake me up when Ms. Park comes," you say after a moment, falling into your normal position as you cross your arms over your textbook, cushioning your head as you close your eyes. Nam-ra predictably grumbles at your command, but doesn't make a move to disturb you.
And drifting off, you hope that today is another calm day.
Tumblr media
It's not.
Hyeon-Ju's bloodied entrance is too shocking for the day to be anything but calm.
Even when she's whisked away by Ms. Park, Su-Hyeok and a few others to the infirmary, the shock gives way to unease and the feeling settles under your skin before you can do anything about it. It makes you itch to do something, anything.
Ms. Park instructs you all to resume studying but hearing what Hyeon-Ju said and seeing her state in general, more than half the class group together to brainstorm what happened between your classmate and Mr. Lee.
Nam-Ra seems to be the only one actually studying and while it looks like you are too, with all your pens laid out and your head tilted down to your book, you're actually listening in on the chatter around you. Pulling out your stationary was just a show of solidarity, if anything.
From what you gather, no one seems to say anything that corroborates your unease or the sense of foreboding that's taken root. Dae-Su's idea is perverse, Wu-Jin is quick to slap him on the back of his head, and I-Sak returns with a troubled face before the others can chime in.
At once, everyone turns their attention towards her, even Nam-Ra, but the weight of someone's stare grows heavy on the side of your face so you turn to other side of the room instead, catching Gyeong-Su's gaze just as he snaps his head back to I-Sak.
You're sure he knows you caught him staring at you because the tips of his ears are pink, and his posture is rigid as he faces the front. If you weren't feeling so agitated, your skin still itching, you'd smile at his embarrassment.
How long will he wait before he confesses?
"–What happened? Is Hyeon-Ju okay?" Wu-Jin chimes. He kneels next to I-Sak when he asks, and you begin tapping your finger on your desk when she speaks, pulled back to the matter at hand.
When you saw Hyeon-Ju last, the poor girl was delirious as she stumbled into the room, eyes fluttering as she tried to stay awake. Her face was bloodied, her hair was matted and when she collapsed by Ms. Parks' feet, she could could barely move.
However, the Hyeon-Ju I-Sak left in the infirmary sounds like a completely different person.
Having to be restrained as she thrashed on the bed. Hissing. Biting.
She scratched Ms. Kim, I-Sak says.
There's a cold sweat running down the back of your neck the more you imagine it, different scenarios flitting through your head in quick succession, but when I-Sak mentions some weird shot Mr. Lee injected her with, the agitation you feel reaches a crescendo.
You stop tapping, deciding that you need to see things yourself.
Nam-Ra glances at you from the corner of her eye, and you hope the look you flash her doesn't belie your nerves.
It turns out though that the Class President must consider you more of a friend than you realised (the kind of friend that you cover for), because her mouth twists like she knows you're up to something but doesn't push.
"I'll find a mop to clean up the mess," you lie, grabbing your bag.
"Hurry back," is Nam-Ra's cool reply.

chaos erupted in the wooden classroom as everyone scrambled to find a cell phone - a lifeline to the police and, more urgently, their parents. meanwhile, you sat on the floor at the back of the class, exhausted and in agony. but then you remembered the small first aid kit tucked away in your bag, a habit that might just pay off. you shed your green school vest and began to unbutton your dirty, ripped white shirt, revealing the aftermath of your tumble down the stairs. with shaking hands, you opened the ointment bottle from your medkit and gently slid your shirt off your shoulder, wincing in anticipation of the treatment to come. across the echoey classroom, gyeongsu's voice rang out, "hey, joonyeong! i think you're right. they can't open doors!" he yelled to his classmate, who was grimly holding the doors shut against the infected horde. joonyeong's reply was laced with caution, "yeah well... let's keep 'em closed just in case."
meanwhile, the desperate search for a cell phone continued. daesu stood a few feet away from you, his eyes fixed on your pained expression as you applied medicine to the jagged gash on your shoulder and neck. his brow furrowed in concern, "a-are you okay?" he asked softly, his voice tinged with worry. you let out a weary sigh before responding, "yeah..."
daesu's nod was hesitant, his eyes darting back to yours with a mix of concern and skepticism. "do you, uh, need help? i could put it on for you," he offered, his voice tinged with uncertainty. you looked up at him, confusion etched on your face - was he genuinely willing to assist? "um, yeah- no... think i got it," you stammered, awkwardly thanking him.
daesu nodded again, his gaze dropping to his shoes, clearly eager to escape the uncomfortable exchange. you seized the opportunity to divert your attention, catching onjo's eye across the room. she flashed a gentle smile before returning to her search through scattered desks and backpacks. in that moment, you realized the depth of her kindness - a quality you'd overlooked until now. a pang of regret hit you; if only you'd mustered the courage to connect with her before all this chaos erupted. isak's triumphant shout cut through the disorder: "here! i found one!" the room's attention converged on her, where she stood beaming, a cell phone held aloft like a treasure. the device, pilfered from a forgotten backpack, sparked a flurry of hope. as isak attempted to unlock the phone, you seized the moment to rise from the floor, joining the crowd gathered around her.
"is it charged?" daesu asked, peering over cheongsan's shoulder. gyeongsu's retort came swiftly from his post at the door, "of course it's charged, you idiot, who the hell comes to school with a dead phone?" daesu's face fell, but he countered with a pout, "it could happen..." isak's sudden curse cut through the exchange: "shit. it's locked." the room's collective excitement deflated, replaced by a crushing wave of disappointment. while you walked to gaze out the classroom window, your injured arm hung limp against your torso. your mind began to wander, wondering if other students were trapped, just like you. the sight outside was eerie - zombies swarmed the school grounds, their convulsions visible even from a distance. in the soccer field below, you spotted familiar faces among the horde. one in particular caught your attention: a 1st year boy, his high school journey brutally cut short. his ripped jacket and bite-ridden skin were a grim reminder of the fate that had befallen him. you couldn't help but wonder... what were his parents doing at this moment, oblivious to the tragedy that had unfolded?
with a nervous gulp, you turned to see cheongsan holding up the treasure, tantalizingly close to the girl outside - now a snarling zombie, her jaws snapping wildly against the glass window. "what are you doing?" you asked, alarm creeping into your voice. isak and onjo turned to you, and isak explained, "he's trying face recognition." you shook your head, hesitation etched on your face, "that's... it's not gonna work. she's moving too much, and she looks completely different from just an hour ago." with a dismissive gesture, you tossed your vest onto the desk and leaned back, retreating into your own thoughts. cheongsan exchanged a skeptical glance with his friends, who shrugged in response, unsure of their next move.
onjo stepped forward, her impatience palpable. "y/n-ah is right. just call 112, you don't need to unlock it for emergency calls." cheongsan's fingers flew across the keypad as he dialed the number, the room falling silent in anticipation. you nervously ruffled your hair, which had fallen into your eyes, as a mix of unease and worry swirled inside you. your mind began to wander to your dad - was he okay? it was ironic, really, that you were worried about him now, when he'd probably never even noticed if you skipped school.
the seconds ticked by at a glacial pace as we waited for someone, anyone, to pick up. cheongsan's eyes were fixed on the phone, his grip on it tightening with each passing moment. onjo shifted her weight, her eyes darting between the phone and the window, where the zombie girl still snapped and clawed at the glass. you couldn't help but think of all the worst-case scenarios, your mind racing with the possibilities. and then, just as suddenly as it had begun, everything was silent. the phone's ringing had stopped, replaced by an eerie stillness. "hello?" a voice crackled through the speaker.
cheongsan's voice was shaking slightly as he spoke, "h-hello? yes, we need help. our school... it's been overrun by zombies." the voice on the other end was calm and detached, "what's your location?" onjo leaned in, her eyes locked on the phone, "we're at hyosan high school. please, you have to hurry." the voice replied, "yeah sure sure.. help is on the way. just don't get bit.." you felt a surge of hope at the words, but it was short-lived. the sudden sound of the call ending had erupted in the silence.
wujin's voice rose in frustration as he exclaimed, "they hung up? what the fuck..?" daesu tried to calm him down, offering a reassuring presence. you couldn't help but groan at cheongsan's blunder, "why would you tell them there were zombies? you should've said something more urgent." your annoyance was palpable, and cheongsan shot back, feeling defensive, "then what would you have said, huh?" the room fell silent, all eyes turning to you, waiting for a response.
you ventured a suggestion, "i don't know, like, there's a serial killer or something.." your words trailed off as you nodded, but the silence that followed was deafening. you glanced away, feeling a twinge of awkwardness at the lack of response. "..or not," you added, your voice barely above a whisper.
jimin's calm and collected voice cut through the tension, "it doesn't matter. the teachers and principal are probably having people come get us." her words were like a balm, soothing the frazzled nerves of the group. the reminder of the adults' presence was a welcome one - they would come, they would rescue us, and we would be reunited with our families. the thought brought a sense of comfort, a reassurance that we weren't alone in this desperate situation.
nayeon's frustration boiled over, her voice rising to a shout. "ugh, just call them again!" but joonyeong’s response was laced with urgency, "hey, keep it down, you're gonna attract more of them." his arms ached from holding the door shut, his muscles cramping from the strain. just then, a blood-curdling scream pierced the air, echoing down the hallway. everyone's heads snapped towards the sound, their curiosity and fear piqued. the zombies outside, once shuffling aimlessly, now lurched towards the commotion, their footsteps shuffling rapidly down the corridor. as the hallway cleared, gyeongsu cautiously opened the door, peeking outside before suhyeok yanked him back to safety. amidst the chaos, onjo seized the phone, her fingers flying across the keypad as she dialed a mysterious number. the room fell silent, all eyes fixed on her, wondering what she was planning.
onjo sidled up beside you, her shoulder grazing yours as she leaned against the desk. you sensed a piercing gaze and glanced back to find cheongsan's eyes flashing with hostility. swiftly, you averted your gaze, focusing on the window's distant view.
meanwhile, onjo's voice was calm and composed as she spoke into the phone. "hello, sir. do you know captain nam soju from rescue team one?" her words trailed off, leaving you wondering who she was talking to. your eyebrows knitted together in surprise - how did onjo know someone of such high rank? the question lingered, unanswered, as you waited for her next words.
onjo's gaze shifted towards you, her expression a mask of neutrality as she listened intently to the voice on the other end. the silence stretched, and the eye contact became too much to bear. you cleared your throat, breaking the spell, and redirected your attention to your shoes - suddenly, they seemed fascinating. however, onjo's next words shattered the calm, her tone grave and urgent. "there's a fire." the room's atmosphere shifted, everyone's ears perking up at the alarm. "it's in classroom 2-5 of hyson high school. hurry, it's massive." with that, she ended the call, the sudden silence punctuated only by the weight of her words. the
“theyre coming?” you ask softly, eyes filled with hope. onjo nodded her head with a sigh of relief. “thats great! we’ll be back home in no time.” hyoryeong said with a small nervous chuckle. “right?” she asked with insecurity. not being confident in her exclamation.
onjo's nod was reassuring, but her expression remained cautious. "yes, they're on their way. but we need to be careful, we don't know what's happening outside." she glanced around the room, her eyes lingering on the barricaded doors. hyoryeong’s eyes darted to you, then back to onjo, her voice barely above a whisper. "what if...what if they don't make it in time?"
the room fell silent, the weight of hyoryeong's words settling over the group like a shroud. you exchanged a nervous glance with onjo, the hope in your chest beginning to flicker with doubt. onjo's expression turned grim, her jaw clenched in determination. "they'll make it," she said, her voice firm. "we just need to hold out a little longer." but her words were cut short by a loud scream once again from outside the room. the group's heads snapped towards the sound, hearts racing. the wooden walls creaked, groaning under the pressure. "what was that?" gyeongsu whispered, his eyes wide with fear.
you spoke up, your voice firm, "that's the second time we've heard that scream." but no one responded, and you felt exasperated. you stood up and moved away from the desk, "hey, someone could be out there." but your words were met with disbelieving stares. daesu asked incredulously, "what, you wanna go out there?"
you hesitated, feeling a flush rise to your cheeks, "i'm just saying...i would want someone to come looking for me if i was missing." your words tumbled out, laced with a shy vulnerability.
nayeon flopped down in a chair, her back to you, and huffed, "if you wanna go out there, be my guest, but i'm staying here." her dismissive tone made you scoff. you rolled your eyes, muttering under your breath, "god forbid you actually contribute." but nayeon seemed oblivious, already pleading with jimin to call the police again, her voice laced with desperation. meanwhile, you focused on the mundane task of tying your shoes, careful not to strain your shoulder. once finished, you stood up, buttoning your torn white shirt with a sense of determination. your eyes locked onto gyeongsu, and you began to head towards him, ready to take action.
every gaze in the room locked onto you, confusion etched on every face. gyeongsu's voice rose above the rest, "wait, are you really gonna go out there?" he asked, incredulous. wujin chimed in, his tone laced with doubt, "you're injured, how do you even expect to help?" his words hung in the air, a challenge.
you turned to him, your voice low and sharp, "now you're concerned about me?" the quiet snap was a stark contrast to the turmoil brewing inside. you shook your head, disbelief written across your face. the same childhood friend who had ignored you yesterday now pretended to care? it was almost laughable.
your words sparked a reaction, daesu taking a step forward, his face tense with a mix of confusion and annoyance. "what the hell is that supposed to mean?" he demanded, his hand on wujin's shoulder, as if holding him back from lashing out. you let out a sigh, the sound barely audible, and turned away from the confrontation, your eyes drifting towards gyeongsu and the door. "forget it," you muttered, your voice laced with a hint of frustration, as you began to head towards the exit.
but your progress was halted by a hand on your shoulder, suhyeok's grip gentle yet firm. he looked down at you with an expression of genuine worry, his brow furrowed in concern. "i'll go with you," he said, his voice resolute, his determination clear in his tone.
suhyeok's declaration sparked a wave of panic within the group, like a stone tossed into a tranquil pond. you couldn't help but think: of course, everyone's worried now that the golden boy is going with me - the outcast. "suhyeok, you can't!" onjo exclaimed, her voice laced with urgency, "we don't know if that person is even still alive or not." she added, her words dripping with concern.
you shrugged suhyeok's hand off your shoulder, the touch feeling suffocating, and took a step back, creating some distance. he noticed your uncomfortable withdrawal, his eyes narrowing slightly. "i don't need you to come with me..." you said, your voice barely above a whisper, as you looked away, avoiding eye contact.
isak's words hung in the air, laced with a quiet intensity. "yeah, if y/n-ah wants to go, then let him. that's his choice, not yours." her eyes betrayed a deep-seated fear, not of the present moment, but of the unknown consequences that might unfold.
suhyeok turned towards you, but you avoided his gaze, your eyes fixed on some invisible point on the floor. his attention shifted to the table, where your green vest lay discarded. he swiftly walked over and picked it up, and with a swift motion, ripped it halfway down the middle. "hey, what are you-" you started to ask, confusion etched on your face, but suhyeok's finger pressed against his lips, signaling silence. you watched, perplexed, as he tied the two pieces together in a knot, his hands moving with a quiet purpose.
with a few quick movements, suhyeok transformed the torn vest into a makeshift sling, his hands moving with a quiet confidence. "here, put your head through here and you can let your arm hang here," he instructed, his voice low and gentle. before you knew it, he had crafted a perfect solution to ease the tension on your upper shoulder and neck.
meanwhile, daesu and wujin exchanged a weighted glance, their faces a picture of suspicion and uncertainty. you shot suhyeok a sideways glare, your eyes narrowing slightly. "i'm not thanking you," you whispered, your voice barely audible, as you looked up at him with a mix of annoyance and gratitude. suhyeok's expression remained neutral, his eyes locked onto yours. "i know," he said simply, as he fell into step beside you, following you out towards gyeongsu.
as you walked, the silence between you and suhyeok was palpable, punctuated only by the soft rustling of your clothes and the distant sounds of the group getting up behind you. you couldn't help but feel a twinge of discomfort at his presence, his actions both helpful and infuriating at the same time.
gyeongsu waited by the door, his eyes scanning your face before shifting to suhyeok. "ready?" he asked, his voice low and even. you nodded curtly, avoiding eye contact with suhyeok. "we’ll just go check and come back." with a quiet nod, gyeongsu pushed open the door, revealing a brightly lit corridor beyond. the air was thick with an eerie silence, and you could feel the weight of the unknown pressing down upon you.
as you stepped into the corridor, the door creaked shut behind you, enveloping you in an unsettling quiet. the air was heavy with the scent of dust and decay, and the flickering fluorescent lights above cast your eerie shadows on the walls.
you led the way, your footsteps echoing off the walls, with suhyeok following closely behind. your eyes scanning the deserted hallway, your senses on high alert. the corridor twisted and turned, leading you deeper into the heart of the building. you couldn't shake the feeling that you were being watched, that unblinking eyes were trained on you from the shadows. suddenly, you halted, your head cocked to one side to find suhyeoks hand on your back. "do you hear that?" suhyeok suddenly whispered, his voice barely audible.
your eyes narrowed, your gaze scanning the hallways. "hear what? and stop touching me." you hiss at him. suhyeoks eyes locked onto yours, his expression grim. "that." then, you heard it too - a low, mournful whimper, seeming to come from the direction in front of you. you cautiously peeked around the corner, your gaze drifting down the dimly lit hallway towards the staircase, the flickering fluorescent lights above grabbed your attention. but what you saw made your heart skip a beat - a girl's limp form hung suspended from the stairway's bars, her body eerily still, her eyes frozen in a permanent scream. you gasped, your instincts screaming at you to act, your mind racing with worst-case scenarios.
but before you could take a step forward, suhyeok's arm snaked around your waist, pulling you back into the shadows with a swift, firm motion. "what the fuck did i tell you-" you hissedat him. his voice low and urgent, his breath warm against your ear, before clamping a hand over your mouth, his fingers pressing against your lips. "at least look around before you get yourself killed."
his eyes narrowed, annoyance etched on his face, his brow furrowed in concern. you shot him a defiant glance, your eyes flashing with anger, your heart still racing from the shock. shoving him off of you, "you touch me again and i'll push you into those things," you threatened, your finger jabbing into his face, your voice barely above a whisper.
suhyeok's expression twisted into a disbelieving scoff, his eyes rolling heavenward. "yeah, i'd like to see that," he taunted, his voice dripping with skepticism, his gaze lingering on yours with a hint of challenge.
you swiftly silenced suhyeok with a hushed command, your eyes darting back to the staircase. that's when you saw it - a zombie looming mere inches from the girl's desperate grasp, its presence a constant threat. she struggled to pull herself up, her face reddened with exertion, sweat dripping down her forehead. but every time the zombie turned, she'd retreat, hiding in a futile bid for safety.
time was running out - she was mere seconds from slipping, her fingers trembling with fatigue. if she fell, it would be a four-story drop to certain death. you watched, transfixed, as she teetered on the brink of disaster.
as you scanned your surroundings, a forgotten pencil case caught your eye, lying just a few feet away. with a deep breath, you dropped to the ground, army crawling towards the pencil case with deliberate slowness. your gaze remained fixed on the zombie, while suhyeok's eyes locked onto your legs, poised to pull you to safety at a moment's notice.
with suhyeok watching your every move, you inched closer to the pencil case, your hand reaching out to claim it. finally, your fingers closed around it, and you crawled backward, creating a safe distance between yourself and the zombie. then, with a swift motion, you hurled the pencil case down a nearby hallway, the sound echoing off the walls as it flew through the air. the zombie's attention was caught, its body lurching away from the girl as it shambled down the hallway in pursuit of the noise. seizing the opportunity, you began to stand, but suhyeok was already ahead, swiftly closing the distance to the girl. helping her down and he grasped her hand, pulling her to safety as she thanked him over and over, her voice trembling with tears.
"you're my hero, truly. thank you so much," the girl gushed, her arms wrapping tightly around suhyeok's neck as she hugged him with gratitude. but you were already moving, your patience worn thin. "lets go," you whispered urgently, your voice low and insistent.
suhyeok pulled the girl along, her hand still clutched in his, as you all turned the corner and sped through the hallways with a crouched, hurried gait. the girl's sobs grew louder, her words tumbling out in a frantic, tear-choked explanation of what had happened to her friends. suhyeok tried to calm her down, his voice a soothing murmur, but she was beyond consolation, her breath coming in ragged gasps as she hyperventilated.
"you need to stop crying, or we are all gonna die," you warned, turning back to the girl with a stern expression, your finger pressed to your lips in a silencing gesture. but before you could continue, the sound of footsteps echoed through the hallway behind you - loud, quick, and getting closer.
"run!" suhyeok yelled, darting to the front of the group as you all sprinted down the hall. your hearts racing, you turned a corner and finally saw the classroom door ahead. suhyeok pounded on it urgently with both fists, releasing the girl's hand as he did so. you caught up, breathless, and saw nayeon blocking gyeongsu's attempt to open the door, the two of them arguing in hushed tones. but before you could intervene, you turned to see a horde of zombies rounding the corner behind you - three to seven of them, their eyes fixed on you with a mindless hunger as they ran at full speed.
in a flash of quick thinking, you slid open the classroom window and urged suhyeok to climb through. he cast a desperate glance at the zombies closing in, their ragged breathing and shambling footsteps mere feet away, before hoisting himself up and through the opening. he reached back for your hand, but you gestured for him to take the girl's instead.
with a surge of adrenaline, you grabbed her knee and pushed her upwards, trying to boost her to safety. but she clung to your arm, her eyes fixed on the horrors behind, her cries growing more frantic. "go! go!" you shouted, pushing her upward with increasing urgency, as suhyeok tried to pull her arm up from the other side.
suhyeok's grip on her hand faltered, sending her tumbling over you as you desperately tried to break her fall. you groaned, the impact knocking the wind from your lungs, as the zombies closed in - now mere feet away. with a surge of adrenaline, you tried to haul her to her feet, but she was paralyzed with fear, her screams echoing through the hallway.
"come on! damnit!" you shouted, tugging at her arm with increasing urgency, but she was frozen in terror. and then, in a flash of horror, the closest zombie latched onto her leg, its jaws closing around her ankle like a vice. she shrieked in agony as the zombie's teeth sank deep, the others quickly following suit, their bites tearing into her flesh with savage ferocity.
you stood frozen, helpless, as the zombies feasted on her flesh, their gruesome banquet mere feet away. the girl's eyes locked onto yours, her face contorted in a silent plea, her tears streaming down her cheeks like rain. her hand reached out, a desperate bid for salvation, but it was too late. just as all hope seemed lost, a chorus of screams erupted from the windows, the voices of your friends shouting your name, their cries piercing the air like a siren's wail.
“y/n-ah, leave her!”
“shes gone, come on!”
“y/n-ah, move your ass!”
“get inside! now!”
a crushing wave of guilt and fear washed over you, paralyzing your nerves and muscles. your eyes widened in horror, frozen in place as the zombies devoured the girl below. but then, a pair of arms wrapped around you, lifting you up with a gentle yet urgent strength. you felt yourself being pulled up into the window, your limp body causing you and your rescuer to tumble backward onto the classroom floor.
as you sat up, dazed and disoriented, you found yourself cradled in someone's lap, their arms wrapped tightly around you. the warmth of their embrace was a stark contrast to the terror you'd just faced, and for a moment, you simply sat there, frozen in shock. the others shut the windows quickly and held onto the doors to keep them shut.
your head hung limp, your gaze fixed on your lap as you felt the strong, muscled arms wrapped around your body, holding you in a tight embrace. the pressure caused your shoulder to ache, but you didn't have the strength to move. slowly, you lifted your head, your eyes scanning the room as reality began to seep back in. that's when you saw them - your classmates gathered around you, their faces etched with concern. and then, you realized who was holding you - suhyeok. with a surge of adrenaline, you swiftly elbowed him in the ribs, breaking free from his grasp. you stood up, your legs trembling slightly as you found your balance.
he coughed, his eyes widening in surprise at your sudden movement. "what the..?" daesu muttered, confusion etched on his face as he looked from you to suhyeok, unsure of what had just happened.
"i told you. stop touching me," you said, your voice firm, as you clutched your shoulder, still feeling the ache from suhyeok's grip. your hair was disheveled, a testament to the intensity of the moment that had just passed. you glared down at suhyeok, who looked away, defeated, his eyes cast downward in submission.
but cheongsan wasn't having it. "yah, suhyeok-ah saved you," he spoke up, his voice tinged with annoyance. "you should be thanking him." his words hung in the air while others just stared.
slowly, you turned to face the group, your eyes meeting the gaze of your friends, who were all staring at you, their faces etched with concern. your chest still heaved rapidly, a reminder of the chaos that had just unfolded.
the room was thick with tension, the only sound the heavy breathing that still racked your body. you felt like you were under a microscope, every eye on you, waiting for your reaction. suhyeok's gaze remained downcast, his shoulders slumped in defeat. cheongsan's eyes flashed with irritation, the others looked on, their expressions a mix of confusion and concern. the silence stretched out, becoming almost unbearable. you knew you needed to say something, to break the tension, but your mind was a blank. all you could think about was the feeling of suhyeok's arms around you, holding you captive, and the horror that had just unfolded below the window.
jimin's voice had a subtle rebuke. "he wouldn't have had to save him if you had let gyeongsu open the door," she said, her gaze fixed on nayeon as she strode away, her eyes scanning the other windows with a mix of fear and determination. nayeon spun back, her face twisted in a scowl. "you wanted to leave them out there!" jimin accused, her voice low and venomous.
nayeon's defenses were clearly breached, her words tumbling out in a rush. "so what? they decided to go out there, we never told them to! they could've been bit, fuck, they could still be!" her finger jabbed toward you and suhyeok, the pressure of the moment clearly getting to her.
suhyeok slowly rose to his feet behind you, still wincing in pain as he released his grip on his ribs. "you can check us, we didn't get bit," he said, his voice steady, his eyes locked on nayeon. onjo quickly came to his defense, her voice firm. "suhyeok-ah said they aren't bitten, he wouldn't lie," she said, her gaze fixed on nayeon, trying to reassure her.
but before the tension could ease, cheongsan strode forward, his eyes scanning you from head to toe before narrowing in suspicion. "oh sure, check me but not him, right?" you shot back, your voice laced with sarcasm, as you stood face to face with him. cheongsan took a step closer, his jaw clenched. "and? you have a problem with it?" he asked, his tone confrontational.
just as the confrontation was reaching a boiling point, suhyeok stepped in, his hand extending from behind you to gently but firmly push cheongsan back. "guys, not now," he said, his voice a calm anchor in the storm, trying to steer the group away from further conflict. gyeongsu, leaning against the door frame, chimed in with a soothing tone, "yeah, come on guys, we gotta be careful. now's not the time to argue." but his words were quickly met with a sharp tone from nayeon. "oh, now you wanna add on?" she snapped, her voice dripping with disdain. "you're such a liability, and you don't even know it." the air seemed to vibrate with tension as her words hung in the air, a challenge to gyeongsu's very presence.
gyeongsu's face reddened with anger as he took a step forward, his voice rising. "what? what did you just say?" but before he could get any closer to nayeon, his friends grabbed his arms, holding him back. "everyone needs to just shut up and sit down-" someone started to say, but the words were cut off by a sudden commotion.
"watch out!" you yelled, as the classroom door burst open and a frantic figure scrambled inside. everyone recoiled in fear, unsure of who this new arrival might be, but as the person turned to face the group, a collective sigh of relief rippled through the room. it was coach kang, his face flushed and sweaty, his chest heaving with exertion.
the room fell silent, all eyes fixed on the coach as he struggled to catch his breath. finally, he spoke, his voice gruff with concern. "are you guys okay?"
the question hung in the air, open to interpretation. but before anyone else could respond, gyeongsu nodded curtly, speaking for the group.
gyeongsu's eyes narrowed slightly as he approached coach kang, his voice laced with skepticism. "what about you, you weren't bitten?" coach kang's head shook slowly, his chest still heaving with exhaustion. "no, of course not. i-im alright. yeah, i'm alright," he stammered, his nod a bit too emphatic. something about his demeanor didn't quite add up, and your eyebrows furrowed in concern. you turned to your right, searching for a shared spark of suspicion, and found it in namra's watchful gaze. as your eyes met, a silent understanding passed between you, a sense that something was off.
namra rose slowly from her seat, her movements fluid and deliberate, her eyes never leaving yours. unspoken questions, the group's attention drawn to the subtle exchange between you and namra.
"okay, well let's block the doors first," coach kang instructed, his voice snapping the group back into action. the room's dynamic shifted in an instant, as if a switch had been flipped, and everyone reverted to their student roles, mannerisms and all. with newfound urgency, the group sprang into motion, rushing to construct a makeshift barricade. desks scraped against the floor, chairs clattered on top, and the sound of heavy breathing filled the air. you strained to move a desk with one hand, your legs pushing against the floor to drag it into place.
"hurry up, what's taking you so-" coach kang's voice trailed off, his words freezing in his throat as his gaze landed on you. his eyes widened, his face a picture of shock, as if he'd seen something that made his blood run cold. "what happened to you?" coach kang asked, his voice laced with a wariness that bordered on suspicion.
you let out a frustrated huff before explaining, "i fell down the stairs and hurt my shoulder. i wasn't bit if that's what you're thinking..." but your words trailed off as your gaze drifted down to the coach's arm. a jagged red gash caught your eye, surrounded by teeth marks and bloody flesh. the sight made your heart skip a beat. coach kang seemed to sense your stunned silence, and cleared his throat awkwardly, busying himself with moving chairs and avoiding eye contact. it was clear he was no longer interested in listening to your explanation.
you turned to onjo and jimin, their eyes already locked on the coach's arm, a silent understanding passing between them. "do you guys see that...?" you whispered, your voice a mere breath, as if speaking the truth might shatter the fragile calm.
onjo and jimin nodded in slow, synchronized motion, their faces reflecting a dawning realization. onjo's voice rang out, a loud whisper that cut through the tension. "coach kang, you have a bite on your arm!" the coach's face drained of color, his skin turning a ghostly pale. "w-what? no, no," he stuttered, his hand jerking up to yank his sleeve down, hiding the offending arm. "no, i wasn't bitten, it's alright," he protested, his words tumbling out in a frantic bid to reassure, but his eyes betrayed a growing panic.
the coach's denial was met with incredulity. "you have a bite mark, how is that not a bite-" but before you could finish, he cut you off with a sharp rebuke.
"shut up, i said it isn't. don't talk back to me, you're a student," he spat, his words dripping with venom. his tone was a slap in the face, and you felt a surge of indignation at the dismissive language. isak stepped into the fray, her voice calm but firm. "it looks like you were really bitten," she observed, her eyes fixed on the coach's arm. the coach's face turned red with rage. "i wasn't! how many times must i tell you?" he thundered, his eyebrows shooting up in disbelief and anger, as if the very suggestion was an affront to his authority.
"show it then!" you demanded, your voice firm and resolute. isak stepped forward while her tone was uncompromising. "then why the hell are you hiding it? show us." the coach's gaze faltered under the weight of their combined scrutiny. isak’s eyes flashed with a fierce intensity, her voice dripping with authority. "i think you should leave right now," she commanded, her words a clear dismissal.
as the standoff continued, you discreetly glanced to your side, your eyes landing on a desk with a sharp pen lying on it. with a slow, deliberate movement, you reached out and grasped the pen, hiding it behind your leg, your grip tightening around it. "come on! get out already!" isak yelled, her frustration boiling over, her words echoing through the tense silence.
the coach's face twisted in a sudden, vitriolic outburst. "you cocksucker!" he bellowed. you spun around, bewildered, and shot back, "are you insane? watch your mouth!" your gaze swept the room, locking eyes with your male peers. "you're gonna let him speak to her like that?" you asked, your tone laced with disgust and outrage.the coach's face reddened, his finger jabbing accusingly at you. "you stop talking! i could call you the same thing!" his lips curled into a sneer, a cold, calculated glint in his eye. "yeah...you think i don't know?" he taunted, his voice dripping with malice. "you think they don't know?" he sneered, his gaze raking the room. but you stood your ground, your voice firm and resolute. "i don't give a fuck what they think, and you need to leave now, you fucking pervert." your words struck a nerve, and for a moment, the coach's mask slipped, revealing a flicker of unease beneath.
"how dare you speak to me like that? do you think i won't remember this when this is all finished? huh?" his thunderous voice sent shockwaves through the room, loud enough to draw a few zombies to the hallway outside. as he took a menacing step closer to isak, onjo swiftly intervened, positioning herself protectively in front of her friend. you instinctively moved to stand guard, the pen at the ready. "y/n-ah, stay back!" wujin warned, his voice firm and urgent. "he's infected," joonyeong added, her eyes fixed warily on the coach.
and then, a telltale sign of the infection's grip: a nosebleed. the coach's eyes widened as he felt the warm trickle down his face, his gaze dropping to the crimson droplets staining his clothes and splattering the floor.
the coach's gaze snapped back up, his eyes locking onto yours with a mix of anger and desperation. his face twisted in a snarl, the nosebleed worsening as he took another step forward. you stood your ground, the pen poised like a tiny sword, ready to strike.
"stay back!" wujin and joonyeong chorused, their voices a united front against the coach's erratic behavior. onjo's eyes darted between the coach and you, her expression a mask of concern. the coach's body language screamed warning signs - the jerky movements, the wild eyes, the increasing aggression. you knew the infection was taking hold, and time was running out. with a deep breath, you steeled yourself for what might come next.
the coach's eyes seemed to glaze over, his pupils dilating as he took another step closer. his mouth opened, revealing bloody teeth, and a low, menacing growl rumbled from his throat. you gripped the pen tightly, bracing for impact.
"he's gone," joonyeong whispered, his voice barely audible over the coach's eerie growl. "we need to get out of here, now."
onjo nodded, her eyes fixed on the coach's deteriorating form. "y/n, come on," she urged, tugging on your arm. for a moment, you saw a glimmer of the person he once was, trapped beneath the surface of the infection. in a split second, the coach's face twisted into a grotesque snarl, and he sprang into action - but his target was mijin, trapped between the narrow lockers. panic erupted as he pounced, his body pinning hers to the ground.
chaos ensued as the group scrambled to escape the horror, but daesu stood tall, his adrenaline-fueled strength surging as he rushed to mijin's aid. with a fierce cry, he heaved the coach's zombie form off her, slamming him into the nearby wall with a bone-jarring crash. as the dust settled, all eyes turned to mijin, her face etched with pain and fear. and then, the unthinkable - a crimson bite mark marred her lips, a grim harbinger of the fate that awaited her.
mijin's eyes widened in terror as she stumbled backward, her hand instinctively rising to cover the wound. "no, no, no..." she whispered, her voice trembling with fear.
daesu's face fell, his eyes filled with a mix of horror and helplessness. "mijin, oh god..." he trailed off, his voice cracking with emotion. the group stood frozen, paralyzed by the grim reality unfolding before them. the coach's zombie form, still reeling from daesu's tackle, began to stir once more, its eyes fixed on mijin with a mindless hunger.
"we have to get out of here, now," wujin urged, his voice firm but laced with desperation. "we can't let her...we can't let her become one of them." but it was too late. mijin's eyes began to glaze over, her body starting to succumb to the infection's deadly grip. a faint moan escaped her lips, and she took a stumbling step forward, her gaze fixed on the group with a growing hunger.
in a heart-stopping instant, coach kang's body contorted in a grotesque convulsion, his limbs twitching with an otherworldly energy. he sprang to his feet, his movements jerky and unnatural, and launched himself at suhyeok and wujin. the latter held up a chair as a makeshift shield, but suhyeok swiftly shoved him out of harm's way, dodging to the side as the zombie coach crashed into the podium behind them.
the zombie's head twitched, its eyes locking onto suhyeok with a mindless hunger. it lunged, arms outstretched, but suhyeok dodged the grasp by a hair's breadth. with a swift punch, he struck the zombie coach in the face, but it seemed to have no effect. the zombie latched onto suhyeok, its grip unyielding. your heart sank as you watched in horror, but instinct took over. you sprinted forward, grabbing a chair with one arm and slamming it into the zombie coach's back with a loud crash. the force of the blow sent shockwaves through the air, but the zombie's grip on suhyeok remained unbroken.
in a flash of adrenaline, suhyeok seized the opportunity to turn the tables, using the zombie momentum against him. with a swift motion, he hurled the man into the wall, the sound of crunching bone and scraping flesh echoing through the room.
cheongsan sprang into action, grabbing a nearby desk and slamming it into place, pinning the man to the wall with a fierce determination. gyeongsu rushed to his side, adding his strength to the effort, and together they strained to keep the desk in place, holding the snarling zombie at bay.
the air was electric with tension as the two boys wrestled with the desk, their muscles straining to keep the zombie trapped. the sound of scraping furniture and labored breathing filled the room, a testament to their desperate bid to contain the monstrous creature that had once been their coach. as you stood there, chest heaving, the chaos seemed to slow down, and your gaze drifted to the side. that's when you saw mijin, her eyes brimming with tears, her face a picture of despair. nayeon burst into the space between you, her movements frantic as she began to dismantle the barricade at the door.
"y/n-ah...please," she begged, her voice barely audible over her sobs. her eyes pleaded with you, and yours stung in response, welling up with tears. "i-its...it's gonna be okay," you whispered softly, trying to reassure her as she stumbled towards you, her hands shaking like leaves. you knew you had to calm her down, to make her believe everything would be alright. "mijin-ah, you have to stay where you are, okay?" you continued, trying to sound calm, but the words felt like a betrayal. "it's okay...it's just a scratch," you lied, the words tasting bitter on your lips. but you knew the power of the mind was a potent thing – maybe, just maybe, if mijin believed it, it could become true.
mijin's gaze fell to the floor, her eyes clouding with disbelief at your words. she took a step forward, her feet carrying her towards nayeon, who was still frantically trying to clear the barricade. but as mijin approached, nayeon's fear spiked, and she scrambled onto the desk, her eyes wide with terror. "get away from me!" nayeon shrieked, her legs kicking out wildly as she tried to push mijin away. one kick landed squarely on mijin's chest, sending her crashing to the floor.
"nayeon, stop!" you bellowed, your rage lifting at the scene unfolding before you. but it was too late. mijin's body began to contort, her neck cracking ominously as her limbs twitched with an unnatural, robotic jerkiness. then, a blood-curdling screech tore from her throat, and she sprang to her feet, her hands dangling limply at her sides.
daesu sprang into action, his arms encircling mijin's waist as she launched herself at him with a savage ferocity. but even his formidable strength was pushed to the limit as mijin's body contorted and twisted, her limbs flailing with a wild, unbridled energy. with a swift, urgent glance, daesu roared, "everyone, out, now!" and made a frantic dash for the door, mijin's crazed form clutched tightly in his grasp. her body arched and bucked, threatening to break free from his hold, but daesu's grip remained unyielding as he battled to contain the fury that had consumed her.
as the two zombies continued to writhe and snarl, suhyeok's voice cut through the chaos, "we gotta go." he sprinted to nayeon's side, and together they frantically cleared the doorway of debris, their movements fueled by desperation. "get out, get out!" suhyeok's guttural shout echoed through the room, his words punctuated by the sound of scraping furniture and shuffling footsteps.
you scanned the room, ensuring everyone had escaped before making a final dash for the door. "lets go guys!" you yelled, shoving the last straggler forward as you followed close behind. but as you emerged into the hallway, a sense of unease settled in - suhyeok was nowhere to be seen. you spun back to face the door, just as he stumbled out, his face etched with exhaustion, and slammed it shut behind him. with a shared sense of urgency, you followed the group down the familiar hallways, the same corridors where, just moments before, you had tried to save a young girl from the clutches of the undead. as you pounded the hallway floor in a frantic sprint, your momentum was abruptly halted by a collision with joonyeong's back. the sudden impact sent a ripple through the group, and before you could process what was happening, everyone began swiftly reversing direction, their feet shuffling in unison.
curiosity getting the better of you, you darted a glance to the side, and your heart sank. a horde of zombies was closing in, their vacant eyes fixed on the group with a chilling hunger. nayeon's terrified screams pierced the air, echoing off the walls as she crumpled to the floor, her legs seemingly unable to support her. the group's frantic energy was visible, and you knew you had to act fast to avoid being overwhelmed by the encroaching undead.
in a flash, suhyeok burst from the rear of the group, his movements a blur as he launched himself upward, landing a lightning-fast kick on the bloodied student's face. the sudden display of agility left you breathless - stunned didn't begin to describe it. with a fierce determination, suhyeok continued his assault, pinning zombies to the walls and sending them crashing to the ground. but despite his valiant efforts, one managed to slip past his defenses, charging towards the group with a menacing intent.
without hesitation, you darted forward, weaving through the crowd with a swift precision. as the zombie closed in, you struck, your kick finding its mark on the undead attacker's leg. the zombie's balance faltered, and it crashed to the floor, its momentum extinguished.
just as you thought you'd dodged the worst of it, a zombie lunged from the shadows, its grasp closing around your injured arm like a clutch. a searing pain shot through your limb as the zombie's grip tightened, and you couldn't help but yell out in anguish as it yanked your arm with a sudden, violent force. in a heart-stopping instant, the zombie's mouth was mere centimeters from your arm, its rancid breath washing over your skin as it prepared to deliver the final, gruesome bite. time seemed to slow as you faced the very real possibility of becoming the zombie's next victim.
“y/n-ah! no!”

Can you please write jealousy headcanons for Yeo jeong, Do yeong, Jae Joon? And can you please write how differently they will react when reader is their wife vs when they are in love with her but haven't confessed yet?
Jealousy Headcanons ft. Jeon Jae-Joon, Joo Yeo-Jeong, Ha Do-yeong
Tumblr media
Jeon Jae-Joon:
In love with you
He is jealous of anyone you interact with.
It doesn't matter who is was.
Jea-joon is a extremely jealous person.
He tries to one-up whoever is getting your attention—if someone gives you a gift, he’ll get something twice as expensive.
He gets unreasonably moody when you praise another man, brushing it off with an eye roll but later overthinking it.
If he sees you with someone else, he’ll interrupt the conversation with some flimsy excuse—“Hey, didn’t you say you needed my help with something?”
If the jealousy gets too much, he might start flirting with other women in front of you to gauge your reaction.
Married to you
Jea-joon is still an extremely jealous person.
It doesn't matter if you have been married for five years, he is still an extremely jealous person.
Jae-Joon has zero tolerance for anyone getting too close to his wife. He’s openly territorial, making it clear that she belongs to him.
He’ll wrap an arm around your waist and pull you close whenever another man even looks at you for too long.
If a man dares to flirt, Jae-Joon’s sharp tongue comes out—cutting insults laced with arrogance and threats masked as jokes.
He’ll intentionally kiss or touch you in front of the person making him jealous, making sure they understand their place.
If you scold him for being dramatic, he’ll just smirk and say, “What? Just making sure people remember you’re mine.”
He is the type of person who is not afraid to fight someone if they don't get the hint.
Joo Yeo-Jeong:
In love with you
Yeo-Jeong is not a very jealous person but he does get jealous.
He hides his jealousy well, always smiling, but his hands ball into fists behind his back.
If you talks about another man, he’ll listen carefully, taking mental notes.
He’s the type to subtly sabotage competition—giving advice that makes the other guy look bad, or steering conversations away from them.
He volunteers to help you with anything to keep you around more—offering rides, tutoring, even making her favorite meals.
If you seems interested in someone else, he quietly suffers, convincing himself that as long as you're happy, that’s enough.
Married to you
He is not a jealous person once you two are married.
His jealousy goes down.
He trusts you.
Though he does get jealous from time to time.
He’s the type to casually but firmly place a kiss on her temple in the middle of a conversation—just to remind everyone who she belongs to.
He reassures you gently, never blaming you but always making sure you knows how much he cherishes her.
Ha Do-yeong:
In love with you
Do-yeong is the master of controlling his emotions, rarely letting jealousy show.
He watches and listens, carefully assessing his competition before making his move.
If you seem interested in another man, he quietly retreats—but never gives up. He simply waits for the right moment to step in.
Instead of acting out, he proves his worth—making sure you notices how reliable, capable, and successful he is.
If another man disrespects you, his tone shifts—it’s not a warning, it’s a statement: “That’s enough.”
He subtly steers conversations away from other men, always shifting the focus back to you and what you wants.
If you're close to someone else, he doesn’t sulk—he raises his game, making sure you start to compare everyone else to him.
The only time his jealousy slips is if he sees you with someone unworthy—then, his usual patience wears thin, and he finally says, “He doesn’t deserve you.”
Married to you
Do-yeong handles jealousy with calm authority—he doesn’t need to raise his voice to make his presence known.
He stands behind you with perfect posture, placing a hand on your shoulder—a subtle yet powerful sign of possession.
If another man flirts, he interrupts smoothly, making the guy feel out of place. “I see you’ve met my wife. Isn’t she wonderful?”
He never lashes out in public, but later, in private, he might say, “I don’t like the way he looked at you.”
If you reassures him, he’ll smile softly and kiss your forehead, saying, “I trust you. It’s them I don’t trust.”
When truly provoked, he wields his business connections like a weapon—blacklisting people without them even realizing why they suddenly lost opportunities.
He has an understated yet powerful possessiveness—he doesn’t need to say much for people to fear crossing boundaries.

Hope you enjoy :) trigger warnings: bullying, murder, gore, depression, abuse, mature content, violence, sexual themes. pairing: reader x multi

Y/N
“Y/N DID YOU MESS UP YOUR CUSTOMER’S ORDER AGAIN?” My manager yelled.
“I’m sorry, I’ll make sure this doesn’t happen again,” I apologise as I bow in front of him, followed by a sharp pain of his slap right across my face. Gasps and whispers echoed in the room.
“Fifth time this month. Do you get what I'm saying? FIFTH TIME THIS MONTH!!! Am firing you next time you do this again. YOU HEAR ME?”
“Yes sir.”
He begins to walk away as I retreat back to clean the counter.
"Honey, you should go easier on her," The manager's wife whispered.
"Look, we are the only ones properly running this restaurant and we barely get any customers. This is the least i can do to atleast get more people.”
"Don't you think he's being too hard on her? She barely got a proper job after her graduation. He should be grateful that she even chose to work here," whispered one of my co-workers.
"I don't know. I heard she ran away from her house. We don't even have any information about her family. Don't you think it's all too suspicious?"
"Is Min-Hee really even her niece? Or is that a child she had out of wedlock?"
And so all the whispers followed. So many rumours yet none of those ever bothered me.
My shift is almost over.
I’ve been working at a fast food restaurant in Seoul for two years now. I live in an apartment few blocks away with Min-Hee, my four year old niece. Her parents were killed in an accident two years ago. Her mother, who was also my sister, had wished for me to take Min-Hee into custody. Quite many people were against this idea since I was financially unstable to raise her on my own. Today, I can say am financially stable enough to get Min-Hee into a school. The restaurant employees, including myself, are not well compensated. Payment of bills and rent is quite difficult for all of us. The money I make from my job was enough for me to manage a roof over our heads. Even though I never wanted to live like this, I am still grateful of the fact that I no longer live in Semyeong.
I finish my shift by depositing the rubbish outside in the restaurant's back yard. I was thinking of buying some noodles for Min-Hee on the way home when I notice a shadowy figure standing at the end of the street.
I didn't give it much thought until the person started walking towards me. Nobody else was on the street except me, and our restaurant had just been closed by one of my coworkers. It was 9:45 p.m. I don’t know where to go. I don’t have anything to protect myself with.
The faint light in the street helped me figure out the person’s appearance. The individual had their hair tied back as a low ponytail and wore a long grayish coat along with long loose pants. As the individual came more nearer, I could finally see the face. It’s a woman.
As she eventually approached me, I could finally recognize her. I felt chills running down my body when she got more closer. I remember who she is.
Moon Dong-Eun. After so many years. I was quite curious to what happened to her after she dropped out. The Moon Dong-Eun I remembered from high school feels like an entirely different person than the one standing right in front of me. But what the fuck is she doing here? How and why did she find me?
“It’s been quite a long time. How are you doing y/n?”
I didn’t say anything at first.
“You can say am doing fine I guess. I have a job now and…." I paused. I decided to stop blabbering and cut straight to the chase. "What are you doing here? How the hell did you even find me?”
“I will explain that later. I need your favour.”
“Favour?” I crossed my arms as I said so.
“Yes. I’ve been wanting to do this for quite many years now. I can even pay you if you want.”
“Pay me?" That's strange. "Okay. What is it that you need from me?” I ask hesitantly.
She doesn't say anything and looks around. Is she trying to look out for someone?
“I need you to go back to Semyeong.”
My arms dropped to my sides. The silence grew louder between us. I stood right there in disbelief. No, I cant go back there. Not when I have Min-Hee now, no. I worked hard to get away from that godforsaken place. No. I cant go back there.
“Sorry I cant. I cant just go back to Semyeong just because you asked me to. Am not going back even if you pay me. Since you’ve been able to find out where I live, you might already know that I have my niece to take care of. Sorry. Just find someone else.” I raise my hands as I try to dismiss our conversation and retreat away from her.
“I understand your reason. But don’t you think they're living their lives quite easily, after knowing what they’ve done to you? What they’ve done to us? Don’t you want revenge too-”
“Am sorry. I already told you, I cant go back there. I can barely afford anything these days, let alone go back to the hell I escaped from. Sorry, I wont help you.” I nod my head as I gather my things.
“It’s 10 pm. I have to get back.” I say after a pause. I start walking towards my apartment. Min-Hee is waiting for me.
“Yoon So-Hee was murdered.”
I stop dead in my tracks. Yoon So-Hee? Oh I remember her so well. Someone like us. Yoon So-Hee. She disappeared one day out of nowhere. Or so I was told. Nobody was able to find out what happened to her. Yoon So-Hee.
“What?” I turned around to face her.
She shows me a picture of a dull yellowish name tag. On it was carved in black “Park Yeon-Jin”. My mouth went completely dry. Yeon-Jin? She is behind the disappearance of So-Hee? How did Dong-Eun find that out?
“I mailed this name tag to the police right after I dropped out, hoping it would work, I was pretty naïve back then.”
“If you gave that to the police, how do you have the picture with you then?”
“I have my sources, which I can’t tell you yet.”
I keep staring at the name tag, did she really murder her? She willingly went that far to kill someone for her pride?
“After Yoon So-Hee’s disappearance, the police found a body of a girl in her teens with her skull cracked. Maybe she had few of her ribs broken as well. The body was found near the abandoned building of our school. Apparently, they did find a pink lighter at the roof of the building and never informed anyone outside their own people, but because of the snow, they couldn’t trace who it belonged to. The sweater she wore was burned too.”
All this information was just a lot for me take in. I just couldn’t say anything.
Dong-Eun takes my phone out of my hand and dials some random digits on it. She saves the number under her name. I need to put on a phone password.
“Call me if you ever change your mind. I’ll see you later.”
I stood there completely motionless as she walks away to the end of the street. She gets into her car and drives past me, didn’t even bother to look at me. What did she get herself into? How the hell did she manage to get hands on a confidential evidence? What will be her next move? She did mention she had some help in accessing the name tag. Then who’s helping her? Are they even reliable?
The ring of my phone interrupts my chain of thoughts. It’s Min-Hee calling from a telephone number.
“When are you coming home?”
“Almost there. Just crossing the street.”
“Doesn’t your shift end at 9.30?”
“Yeah I was just caught up with some stuff. Do we have food at home?”
“Oh yeah we have the leftovers from today’s lunch.”
“Oh that’s great. I’ll be right home.”
“Okay.”
I slide my phone inside my pocket as I walk up the stairs. Moon Dong-Eun. What the hell are you playing at?
I walk into my apartment. I haven’t stopped thinking about what Dong-Eun told me. She comes out of nowhere, tracks me down, finds out where I live and where I work, and decides to tell me about an information I am in no liberty to talk about to anyone. Are there more people who know about this? Or is it just me? What the hell do I do now?

20 Questions for Fic Writers!
This made my fucking week, let's gooooooooooooooooooooo!
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
87, blame The Lucky Ones.
2. What is your total AO3 word count?
741,058. No comment.
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Mostly All of Us Are Dead. I have ideas for other fandoms, but like, I should really update my AoUAD fics.
4. Top 5 fics by kudos?
Losers! Parents! Georgie! (IT) (1,510)
Beating of our Hearts  (The Umbrella Academy) (1,501)
The Power of Friendship (And Being Sort of Siblings But Not Really But Also Kinda) (X-Men/WandaVision) (1,500)
This is fine. I'll be fi- THREE HOURS!?!?! (IT) (1,453)
Twistin' the Night Away (The Umbrella Academy) (1,228)
Gotta love big fandoms...
5. Do you respond to comments?
90% of the time. Sometimes I'll get a comment on an older fic and procrastinate on replying, then forget. Or sometimes they'll ask about updates and I don't know what to say. 😭😭😭
6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Take your fucking pick of TLO fics...
(My choice is I Didn't Have It In Myself To Go With Grace ('Cause When I'd Fight You Used To Tell Me I Was Brave) )
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Man, I don't know.
I feel like my early Umbrella Academy fics had pretty happy endings so maybe… Beating of our Hearts or Klaus and Dave’s Fancy Party?
Not to say that I never have happy endings, those just felt the most cheesy-happy.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Pretty much never.
9. Do you write smut?
Oh God. I will be honest and say that in the past I’ve posted two fics of this nature anonymously, and I’ve since orphaned them. Um… yeah, never again. I accept that I mostly don’t have the stomach for it.
10. Do you write crossovers?
I was this close to saying no before I remember my Maximoff twin AU. But even that doesn’t really feel like it counts because canonically, the Marvel multiverse is real, and they technically could meet in canon. It’s not impossible.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
No. Fingers crossed it never happens. 🤞🤞🤞
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
No. Someone did say they wanted to translate Good Luck<3, and I gave permission but I haven’t heard from them since, so either it’s taking awhile or it’s not happening.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic?
Of Apologies and Food Fights: A Glimpse Into the Afterlife with @glowstar826!
14. What’s your all-time favorite ship?
Call me overdramatic but Joon-yeong/Woo-jin from All of Us Are Dead is what taught me what true love is. I’m being serious, no one has touched them.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you will?
Oh God. I’m about to go on a tirade. I’m gonna say Maximoffs of Madness (Emphasis on the Madness) because even though it didn’t do well, it’s the sequel to one of my most popular fics, a fic I ended on a bad ending.
And like, when I lost passion for it, I told myself I’d get it back when Multiverse of Madness came out, which is something I tend to do whenever I lose inspiration. I tell myself it’ll come back whenever the media I’m writing for gets a sequel or a new season. But that method has never worked. And like, I’m still hopeful about my Encanto fics and that one Ghostbusters fic, because I can see myself still liking the premises of those fics if I ever become invested in those franchises again, but honestly, this Maximoff fic is just kind of a mess.
16. What are your writing strengths?
I write emotion really well. Especially if someone is miserable, I’m like, ‘Let’s fucking go.’ I want readers to know exactly where a character is, what they're going through. I don't want to be like, 'They were happy' and then move on. I want to go on for paragraphs about why this specific person with this specific background feels peace from this specific situation.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Setting a mood and keeping it consistent. Like, hate to say it, but sometimes I will be that writer who will tell the joke, even if the scene is better without it, or even if that character would not say that, just because I think it'd be funny.
Oh and also I can't fucking finish the projects I start. 😭😭😭
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language?
I usually have to consult google translate when I do this, since I only speak English. I've seen people write characters talking in different languages by using written English that's in [ ] or ( ), which seems effective. No matter what, I want to portray a culture authentically.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
I still have access to the account I posted it on. I was so close to linking it.
Once Upon a Time. That was my show in middle school. I had gotten into fanfiction the year earlier when I first got into HP, but the Zelena arc inspired me because 👏I👏love👏long👏lost👏sibling👏tropes. The fic was called ‘Sister Power!’ Yes, the exclamation point was a part of the title. It’s still up on Wattpad, if you wanna look it up, search with the username I have now bc I came up with GlitterFairy in the sixth grade. I was like… twelve when I started it. It’s not good.
It’s funny, because I ended it on a cliffhanger, and the cliffhanger was like, ‘But then everyone was distracted by the crazy thing happening on the other side of the battle field’. But I didn’t know what the crazy thing was, I just wanted an excuse to end the fucking chapter, and so I never knew what to write for the next chapter. And then I gave up.
20. Favorite fic you’ve ever written?
I'm gonna say Good Luck<3 because two very specific things are true for it. a) I still think about it all the time, I have not forgotten about it in the time since I've stopped working on it. And b) When I do reflect on it, there are very few things I regret about it. Like, some fics I look back on and to quote Olivia Rodrigo, 'Oh God, what did I say?' and 'I made it weird. I made it worse.'
You see my point.
But not this fic.
Also, it was just such a fun experience the whole way through. I never lost interest or motivation. I was updating consistently. I got a lot of comments and kudos on it, which is always gratifying. And it was always so fun whenever I would start a new episode reaction. The plot points were so simple, people react to what was already in the show, that the plot more or less became character development, which was just so fun, and I'm so glad that that was my first long fic for AoUAD.

20 Questions for Fic Writers!
Let’s get this baby started! Thanks for the inspo @gracelesslady23!
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
60 (blame my HP and AoUAD obsession lmao).
2. What is your total AO3 word count?
471,017. That’s…insane.
3. What fandoms do you write for?
At the moment, mostly for All of Us Are Dead. But of course, I can’t forget the whopping majority of HP fics I have! They really defined the beginning of my fanfic-writing journey.
4. Top 5 fics by kudos?
The Filthy Half-Blood Spy (777)
A Meaningful Sacrifice (490)
Albus Potter and the Journey Through Time (481)
The Bravest Man I Ever Knew (277)
My Old Friend, Minerva (267)
As you can see, I really love HP. The second one is AoUAD.
5. Do you respond to comments?
Of course I do! I appreciate everyone who takes the time to leave them.
6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Oh, I’ll take a quiet life for sure. It’s a canon divergence of A Meaningful Sacrifice, and hoooo boy, that’s probably the single most saddest thing I have ever written in my life. (Never again, Glow. Never again.)
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Pretty much all of them have happy endings, so if I were to pick a few, then they would probably be The Bravest Man I Ever Knew, A Miracle in the Midst of September, and Come Back to Me.
The second fic is Downton Abbey while the third is AoUAD.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Not really, but when I was writing A Meaningful Sacrifice, I got a lot of spam.
9. Do you write smut?
Not explicitly, no. There was one fic I posted (that I since deleted) which features non-graphic smut between Snape and Lupin. (I deleted it because it was too embarrassing to keep on my profile.)
10. Do you write crossovers?
I have one, Finding My Way Back to You (Again)! It’s a crossover where Oh Joonyeong of AoUAD is a doctor in the 20th Century Girl universe who helps Poong Woonho overcome amnesia sustained in a plane crash.
Other than that, I prefer writing AUs where I put characters from one show into another show’s universe. My Duty After School AU with AoUAD characters, Reluctant Duty, is a great example of this.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Thankfully, I have not.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Yup! Albus Potter and the Journey Through Time in Portuguese on Wattpad (which is unfinished, unfortunately).
13. Have you ever co-written a fic?
I have! Of Apologies and Food Fights: A Glimpse Into the Afterlife was an awesome collab with the amazing @glitterfairy-21225!
14. What’s your all-time favorite ship?
Oh Joonyeong/Jang Woojin, for sure. Since February 2022, these boys have been living in my head rent-free. Honorable mentions include Lee Cheongsan/Nam Onjo, Yang Daesu/Seo Hyoryung, and Lee Junho/Woo Youngwoo. The first four ships are from AoUAD, and the fifth is from Extraordinary Attorney Woo.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you will?
Probably Albus Potter and the Journey Through Time, even though it won’t take much longer to finish it. Every time I go back to it, I immediately feel discouraged from writing it because it suddenly seems like too big of an undertaking. However, I will never stop trying!
16. What are your writing strengths?
Dialogue, descriptions, and AU ideas (God knows how many are floating around in my head right now 😭).
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Having too many ideas. I swear, if I could just commit to finishing one project, then I would have way more completed fics.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language?
It would be all fine and dandy if it uses the Roman alphabet (think French, Spanish, German), but if it was a language like Korean or Chinese, then I’d rather write the transliteration since my writing would be targeted towards English readers/speakers. But obviously, I’d try my best to write other cultures authentically.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Though they’re all deleted, I first wrote for Detroit: Become Human. That was what got me into fanfic in the first place because I reasoned that, since the game had 99+ endings, fanfiction was fair game (I really hated fanfic at the time).
20. Favorite fic you’ve ever written?
A Meaningful Sacrifice, hands down. That was probably my single best piece of writing in terms of characterization, setting, worldbuilding, and cohesiveness with the original show. Additionally, I ended up creating two very important OCs which had significant influence in the main character’s life.
Writing that fic inspired a whole lore which is present in my other AoUAD fics like Washed Down the Drain, Us, Withering Under the Sun, and Reluctant Duty. I also gained an awesome friend from it in @glitterfairy-21225, so yeah. One of my best fanfic-writing experiences to date.
On that final note, here’s your tag to do this, @glitterfairy-21225! <3
