Being a part of the mk fandom is unlike anything I've ever experienced before. On one hand, on sites like tumblr and ao3 you'll find some of the most talented and funniest writers and artists and see/read mesmerising works and on the other hand, on sites like YouTube and reddit you'll find top notch incel culture and so much toxic masculinity. It's astounding how the same exact piece of media can be received in so many different ways and have such various types of communities associated with it.

An interesting fact about the "sickly" part:

In Korean you can put the... suffix? "미('mi'; beauty)" behind a two-syllable-ish word and make it a type of charming point. So there can be, like 백치미(baekchi-mi; "dumb beauty"—like Marilyn Monroe) and in this case, 병약미(byeongyak-mi; "sickly beauty")

So I searched it up(it's actually a pretty popular concept), and it's a charm point as in "inducing the protection instinct." Some examples are(oh my god i'm searching in real time as i'm writing this and it's fucking CRAZY-what the hell) Tanjiro's dad from Demon Slayer, All Might from BNHA, Johnsy from O'Henry's the Last Leaf, Akutagawa Ryunosuke from Bungou Stray Dogs, Walter White from Breaking Bad, Maria Robotnik from Sonic the Hedgehog, some many versions of Sans from Undertale, Doc Q from One Piece, fucking Rene Descartes, and Sarina from Oshi no Ko.

SO, my point is, um, Charles is charming whether he's alive, dying, or actually dead. I guess.

Summary: something small and cute I wrote about while waiting for the bus (there might be some grammar mistakes, english is not my first language)

''I don't understand the point of the game." Kenshi says, holding a controller in his hand.

"The point is to destroy your enemy in battle and laugh in his face while enjoying victory." Johnny pronounces the word victory as if he can already taste it in his mouth, probably daydreaming about his win and how he will rub it all over Kenshi's face. The hint of a smile tags at Kenshi's lips, not being able to hide his amusement over Johnny's excitement. Amused or not, he is not going to miss an opportunity to toy with the other man and continues to fake ignorance.

"We have fought beings from another realm. Hell, we have fought people from other timelines. Even yesterday we fought each other during our sparring session.. Why would we need to fight each other in a video game, pixels fighting pixels?"

"Maybe because I like beating you in every reality possible, virtual or not" Johnny answers, the flirtation in his voice evident as he moves just a bit closer to Kenshi.

Kenshi can feel the hot breath of the other man against his face and a gentle hand touching his leg, moving ever so slightly towards his crotch.

"Funny you'd say that, considering I was the one on top of you at the end of yesterday's match"

"Have you considered that I just let you win because I like you on top of me, Kendoll?" Johnny asks playfully. He leans closer for just one more second, lips almost brushing and then he suddenly removes his hand from Kenshi's lap and presses unpause on his controller, getting the match to start and earning a head start on the game.

Kenshi takes a moment, a few milliseconds really, to understand what just happened and then grabs his controller.

"You little- "

Kenshi smashes some random buttons trying to understand how certain moves work. Johnny smiles so brightly because he knows he has already won, maybe not in the game yet but certainly in life, because he has an incredible man sitting next to him, willing to play a game he doesn't know or like, willing to do anything really, just because Johnny Cage asked so sweetly.

honestly love them, but the fact that there are very few of them and you have to create the content yourself is upsetting. :( at the same time, the johnsi have a huge fan base, which I'm extremely happy about.

and everything would be ok, because I write fanfiction, and draw, I’m trying renpai, so that in the future I can make some kind of novel with MK (something light and simple) or even a dating simulator, until my father sends a new laptop by mail (I have a laptop since 2010??) but I don’t have enough time and inspiration for all this. studying is exhausting. D:

On “The Last Leaf” by O. Henry

In this story, it shows a great deal of sacrifice and hope, a very important theme in the Bible. This is quite biblical, as we see in 2 Corinthians 5:21: "For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ". (NLT) In which we see that Christ was sacrificed and died on the cross and rose in three days, to save our lives. Very similarly in the story, Johnsy is saved from death and despair by Behrman sacrificing himself by painting a leaf to give her hope. In our own lives, we see this, people being kind, sacrificing time, and giving us hope. Sometimes a small act of love can save a life. This is why Christ calls us to love so profoundly, “We love because he first loved us” (NIV, 1 John 4:19), or in John 3:16, which we can better understand by reading Hosea 3:1-2, that is how God loves us, and how we are called to love. In my life, I can see this Christ-like love through friends, my parents, and even the cashiers at Barnes and Noble who I see weekly. This story is a good example of love and sacrifice, as Christ-like love is giving one’s life. I can see a biblical meaning all throughout this story, as Sue staying by Johnsy is even like Ruth staying by Naomi when Noami was miserable. A good thing to learn from this story is that good friends matter, and that being loving can save life, and having hope can save your own.
