remember how I said I wanted to do an AU where Johnny survives MWIII but is in a coma and Nina has to take care of him? Here's a random snippet

Nina drummed her fingers against the desk, staring hard at the question on her computer screen. It was only a practice test but her anxiety shot up with each question. It seemed dumb really considering everything.

"You don't happen to know the answer do you?" she asked, turning to look at Johnny. It had been three months since the 'accident', which was the only way she could refer to it, and he'd been unconscious since then. She'd done her best to keep his hair the way he liked it but it had gotten a little long as of late. Even with the weight loss she wasn't strong enough to hold him up long enough to cut it. Same with bathing but that required even more movements. That's why Kyle was on his way over.

She got through three more questions before Kyle knocked on the door. She'd given him a key but he still knocked before coming into the flat.

"Hey, love. How are you doing?" He pulled her into a hug as soon as the door shut. "You eat today?"

He had a bag of takeaway in his hand, just in case. She'd lost weight too.

"I did actually. I made a chicken salad," she assured, taking the bag away and putting it in the kitchen. "Thank you, though. We can eat after Johnny's bath."

"You know how eager I am to get to that." Kyle chuckled.

Nina entered the bedroom first. It wasn't really a bedroom anymore. Their bed had been replaced with a hospital bed. IVs, heart rate monitors and other devices crowded around him instead of the usual pillows and plushes.

"Johnny, Kyle's here to see you." She'd been told it was good to keep talking to him, let him know who was in the room.

"Hey mate, still sleeping?" Kyle sat in the spare chair next to the bed, he squeezed Johnny's hand. "If you don't wake up soon, I might have to steal your girl. Don't mean any disrespect but she did convince me to come over to help bathe you so she might already have me wrapped around her finger."

Nina laughed and rolled her eyes as she logged out of the practice test.

"How's studying going?"

"Okay," she shrugged.

"I do have this weird rash if you could take a look?" He jokingly started pulling up the side of his shirt. "If you're going to be a nurse, I will take advantage."

Nina waved him off, giggling.

"It is impressive, what you're doing." A look of earnestness coming over his face. "Minus the whole coma, he's pretty lucky to have you."

"It's a vegetative state." She corrected. "He has involuntary muscle movements and his eyes move a bit during painful stimuli."

"You have been studying."

"It's a little funny that the method used to determine how severe his condition is is called the Glasgow Coma Scale."

"Doesn't surprise me that's where they'd do the most research to head trauma."

"If he can hear you, he'd be very offended."

"I'm about to wash his arse. He can piss off."

"I just need you to hold him up. I'll wash his arse."

"You really are an angel."

Kyle was a good helper, it was the solider in him. He took every order of hers without question. Didn't bring up how she would steal kisses against Johnny's skin as she finished each section. He talked to Johnny, cracking jokes and letting him know recent football scores.

She couldn't say that it had gotten easier caring for Johnny. She had help, a nurse came to change his IVs, catheter and feeding tube. She was only taking the nursing classes so she could do it on her own. Simon and Kyle had warned her about burnout, offering to watch him so she could sleep or even just leave the flat for a walk. His mum and sister came down twice a month or more.

It just ate at her, that something would happen if she dared to cross the threshold. He had improved, albeit slowly but that could change any time. The brain was just a fickle thing. If he took a turn for the worse, she wanted to be there.

She never told anyone but some nights she curl up between his legs and rest her head on his thigh, a hand rubbing across his stomach. She hoped he knew she was there. That she hadn't left him. She would wait for him. If he woke up tomorrow she'd be the first person he saw.

"You ready to cut his hair, now?" Kyle asked. They were both sweaty and a little tired. She looked at Johnny. His hair did look strange with the over grown mohawk and fuzzy sides. She did like how his hair curled a little. He did need a shave but she could do that on her own.

"I think it's okay for now," She ran her hand over his forehead. "Let's eat."

Kyle had picked up Greek. They ate with the bedroom with Johnny. They had a football match playing on the telly. It felt almost normal.

"You're doing a good job." Kyle kissed the top of her head, having pulled her into another hug by the door. "If you need anything. Call me. And I'm begging you to at least sleep on the couch instead of that cot. Can't do much if your back is fucked."

"I'll try. Thank you Kyle." She missed being held like this. "I love you."

"Love you too." He gave her another quick kiss on the crown of her head before heading off.

Back in the bedroom she turned on some of Johnny's favorite music and opened her lap top to continue her test.

I love them so much y’all don’t even understand every couple of years decades really there’s a couple or on screen ship that’s so insanely good with palpable chemistry and sexual tension that my brain chemistry gets altered in way that’s not for the sane people the serotonin and buzz be so strong no dr*yg could ever make me feel that way! that even tho logically I’m my mind I know it’s just acting and they are doing their job incredibly annoyingly well I still believe it with all my heart that they are in fact dating and are happy and aren’t just saying anything because they don’t wanna let people in on their life which is fair I know it’s wrong and silly and just very dvmb bc it’s just acting very very phenomenal brilliant acting but damn and 80% of the time they were or ended up as couple later on sure few weren’t and didn’t but it all started with JD/WR BP/AJ Sandra x Keanu, Jake x Anne Kiera x James(James with anyone really Christina Anne) Anne Kiera with anyone too, Margot x Will, Ian x Nina, Sophia x Austin, Ryan x Sarah (this one hurts still bc wdym they dated longer then they was alive on the show?) sometimes the actors be doing not even a bit to much but wayyy over the board to much actually, Nicole x Micheal then came stonefiled then came Haesoo jisoo x haein and now we are here in this dilemma that should get into a psych ward next to the riddler joker and penguin with lukenewton and nicolacoughlan they are the worst too

I fight with my mind constantly telling myself it’s just acting then I be like really is it? Is it really just acting that kinda of unhinged chemistry brilliance cant just be acting it’s to much to be acting only😂! be careful the brain plays tricks on you and so the actors bc to them it’s just a job while to others(me) it’s a straight jacket signs and mental illness signs! Clear sign of breakdown

Notes: So I recently found out that our beloved Miggy has Equinophobia, or in other words has a fear of horses. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to write about it! Besides that, I wrote this while I was half sleep and I didn’t feel like proof reading so please keep that in mind. I hope y’all enjoy!

Warnings: Fear of horses, a few annoying friends, Miguel pees on himself in front of all of you, biting (from the horse), children, sabotage, two grown yet childish idiots, passing out, profanity. Let me know if I forgot anything!

From the moment Janina was old enough enjoy anything, she’d loved horses. Her favorite show was my little pony, her first word was pony, and her favorite bathing suits have all had some form of a horse on them. She was obsessed.

When she’d asked for a Pony for her sixth birthday, you knew it was a no go due to her father’s equinophobia . What you didn’t know is that when you declined her request, she’d asked your parents the exact same question.

The two of them love their grand babies with all their heart. With the amount of money they have, they buy them everything they want within reason.

On a normal day, they’d never think a horse was a reasonable gift. But for a birthday? Heck yeah!

“NiNi, we have a gift for you, love.” Your mother spoke, pulling Nina into her lap.

“Really, Nana?” Nina asked, a small smile adorning her tanned face, “What is it?”

And when your dad walks into your large backyard, pulling a small horse next to him, all hell breaks loose.

Nina’s eyes light up and she leaps from your mothers lap, running her way over to her grandpa and the horse. “Wow, a real life horse! Mommy, daddy, come look!”

Miguel looks at you and frowns a little. You give him a look before turning back to your daughter and her newfound best friend.

“Daddy’s legs hurt a little right now, baby. I’ll come meet your pony.” You tell her.

You pat Miguel on the shoulder before walking over to your daughter and the pony.

“What are you gonna name her, baby?” You ask.

Janina huffs. “She’s a boy, mommy! You should never assume!”

You laugh at her slip up before apologizing.

“I’m sorry, baby. What’s his name?”

“Mommy Jr.”

“Mommy Jr?”

“Yeah!”

“But what about Sparkle? Or Stud? Maybe even Flashlight?”

“Well Uncle Johnny said I should name him Mommy Jr!”

You whip your head around to face both of her Uncles that go by that name.

There was Jonathan, your brother, and Johansen, Miguel’s friend from who knows where. Both of them shared a similar personality and were always getting your daughter into trouble.

“Which one of y’all idiots told my baby to name this horse after me?”

Both of them looked at each other and then back at you before bursting into laughter.

“You can’t lie, n/n. He kind of looks like you!” Johansen admitted.

“Yeah,” your brother joined in, “Y’all both got that grown man look going on for you.”

You continue to argue with the two, not noticing your father and Janina walking over to your husband. They pull him out of his seat to the side of you furthest from the horse.

“Aww, Miggy.” You look at him, quickly cleansing your mouth of all the curses you had aimed at Jonathan and Johansen. “It’s okay, we won’t let the horse eat you. Come here.”

Miguel allows you to drag him in the middle but he still squeezes himself tightly against you.

“How can I ever be a man if my six year old daughter finds out I’m afraid of horses?” Miguel whispers in your ear.

You turn to face him. “It’s a phobia, baby. Everyone is afraid of something.”

“Who do you know that’s afraid of horses?” He asks, raising an eyebrow.

You don’t answer, only prompting to shush him and get him to loosen up.

“Time for a picture!” Your mom speaks. Your dad hands Nina to Miguel and he puts on the most realistic smile he could manage.

Your mother peaks at you all from behind the the camera and smiles. “On three, say Mommy Jr!”

She begins to count up from one, but right before she says three, Miguel squeals and tries his hardest to jump onto you.

“Cielo, cielo!” He yells, gripping you tightly.

You look at him worriedly. “What’s wrong?”

“He bit my pants!”

You look behind Miguel at the miniature horse who obviously can’t take a hint and nudges your husbands leg once again.

Miguel gulps loudly and looks down at the horse who—unfortunately for him—was staring right back at him.

Miguel shrieks and runs to the other side of you, away from the horse. The horse seemed to be in a playful mood and decided to follow Miguel wherever he went.

Eventually, your daughter grew tired of the run around and jumped from her father’s arms, running over to sit with her uncles. Your party guests watch in amusement and you try to block the horse from your husband.

To your surprise, the horse got around you and approached your husband. He passed out, and both Johnnys stood to their feet, looking over the table at your husband.

“Damn! That nigga scared of horses!”

A few hours later, Miguel blinks his eyes open, squirming uncomfortably as he adjusts to his surroundings.

“Babe!” You squeal, running over to the hospital bed. “You’re okay!”

Miguel side eyes you. “I recall being in the presence of a horse?”

“Um…” you rub the back of your neck. “Yeah.”

“Why was the horse chasing me?” He asks.

“Dumb and dumber put some apple slices in your pocket.”

Miguel frowns.

“If it makes you feel any better, I cut Jonathan’s wicks and put nair in Johansen’s shampoo. You know how crazy they are about their hair.”

Miguel chuckles a little and scoots over to the right, patting the spot next to him. You squeeze in there with him and rest your head on his shoulder.

“Besides that,” you start, “you had a panic attack and it was pretty severe, I guess. They said you’ll be free to go today, but they also had a few extra notes for you. You’re better off hearing it from a doctor.” You start to sit up. “I can go get one if-“

“No!” He protests, grabbing your arm and pulling you back into him. “Stay with me for a little.”

“Okay then.”

“Did I worry anyone?”

“Nah, everyone was too busy laughing.”

“I passed out and people were laughing?”

“You kind of…” you take a deep breath and prepare to answer him, but a doctor walks in to check on him and notices he’s awake.

You promise to tell him later.

Bonus:

Ever since the doctor interrupted your earlier conversation with Miguel, his curiosity had been eating away at him. What happened to him? Why was everyone laughing?

He walks to the bathroom door and knocks on it.

“Baby?” He speaks loudly through the door.

“Yes?” You yell over the stream of water coming from the shower head.

“What happened to me when I passed out?” He asks nervously.

“We will discuss this when I get out.” You respond.

Miguel huffs before stomping his way to Nina’s room where she lay on the floor playing with her Shopkins.

“Nina?” He asks, taking a seat next to her.

She looks up at him. “Yes, daddy?”

“What happened when I passed out?” He asks, picking up one of her dolls.

“Oh, you peed.” She says casually.

His eyes widen. “I peed?”

“Yeah!”

Miguel gulps. “W-was it noticeable?”

Nina raises an eyebrow, confused by the big word her father had used. “What?”

He rephrases his question. “Could people tell that I peed?”

“Oh, yeah!” Nina giggles. “It was really bad. Mommy had to throw away your pants and uncle Johnny took a picture of you.”

Miguel chuckles, thinking his daughter was joking, but she only blinked at him.

“Why are you laughing daddy? I’d want to run away if I were you.”

A lightbulb goes off in Miguel’s head at his daughter’s words. He kisses her head before running back to you in the bathroom.

“We are moving to Mexico.”

“Boy, get out my bathroom!”

On a happier note, thinking about an AU where Nina's mum does leave her husband for Price

Poppy hires a divorce attorney before she even tells Price she's pregnant. She knows its his. The divorce is hard and drawn out but Price gets to keep his position and his name on the birth certificate.

He continues to rise up the ranks while Poppy teaches art at a local school, keeping up with her own watercolour works at home. Nina's still a skittish little book worm. When he's home Price often falls asleep in her bed while reading to her.

She's eight when Poppy finds out she's pregnant again. They spend a lot of time reassuring Nina that nothing will change, she's still there little girl.

She goes to University in London, studying poetry (Price does try to convince her to pick a more 'profitable' major which Poppy scolds him for). One night at a pub she meets a scot, newly moved to London for work. He's military and she omits the fact that her father is a captain, pretends not to notice the SAS tattoo on his arm.

She likes him. Johnny thinks its funny that she has the same last name as his captain. But Price is too dedicated to his work to be a family man.

She wants him to meet her family. Poppy, her baby brother Sebastian and her dad, Captain Price. Johnny almost passes out after giving Poppy a bouquet and bottle of wine just to look past her to see his Captain standing at the end of the hall, wearing a sweater and an apron as he makes dinner.

"Soap..."

"Sir."

"Turn the Captain part off." Nina says, hitting her dad's arm. "I like him."

Price swears he won't let it affect their professional relationship but Johnny does notice he's assigned to run more kilometers than usual.

Omgggg Zoe and Johnny I’ve seen it and this it’s very cute 😭🩷 I THINKKKKKK u told me ur headcanon for Zoe and Johnny??? I need to find it omg. I’m going to need Johnny to date multiple people until he finally gets to dating Nina. Especially since Johnny will become famous at some point in time. Also pls feel free to dive into the Zoe x Johnny lore a bit more if you’d like!!!

For me, I personally don’t ship Zoe with any of the guys from roomies. I know they got inspo from new girl but I picture them as friends who’ve gotten close enough to consider each other family. IF I had to choose a guy from roomies to date Zoe it would be Gavin tho idk 🤷‍♀️

dare I say Johnny even paired with Don is cute 💀 but I like them being best friends and imagine them complaining to each other abt their lives. Don venting to Johnny abt Dina, Nina and Cassie while Johnny just listens. Johnny vents abt his family drama to him and Don hits him with the “that’s rough buddy” line. 💀

Also….Struggling with what Don’s career should be? I’m thinking he could become famous for being on the Bachelor 💀 like him being a tv/Internet personality makes so much sense to me.
