THE EVIDENCE OF THE NEW LIFE
Tumblr media
TEXT: Eph. 2:1-3
KEY VERSE: "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee. Except a man be born of water and of the
Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. John 3:5
THE EVIDENCE OF THE NEW BIRTH
The Bible says when we were óf the world we lived in disobedience, we lived according to the prince and
power of the air, we live in fornication, hatred, stealing, quarrelling, fighting, masturbation,
pornography.
We make our hairs styles as the world dictates to us, we made fashion hairdos, we wore
trousers as women, we wore Jewries, make-ups and put on transparent, skimpy and tight clothing that
exposes our bodies to seduce others and we didn't mind because we were walking according to the course
of the world.
These ungodly fashion and dresses are designed by Satan for his children, the children of
disobedience. But now that you are born-again you have to turn away from these worldly fashions to
godly way of dressing.
The new birth comes with some evidence, and some fruit. In the new birth your life will change from how
you used to be, you will stop going to some of the places you used to go to, you will stop the dresses or
clothes you used to wear that exposes or advertises your body and makes you live a proud life style, your
behaviour and character you used to manifest will be transformed. The evidence is both internal, within
your heart and external, in your appearance; that is the repentance of both your internal and external sins.
To be born again means total repentance, turning around from sin and self-pleasing lifestyle unto holy
living. 1John3:5-6
Sin is of the devil, and anyone who lives in sin has submitted himself to the leadership and control of the
devil, any man who sins, carries a load that belongs to Satan and with that load on him he cannot be
admitted into God's Kingdom.
The Bible says "Jesus answered them, Verily. verily, I say unto you.
Whosoever commits sin is the servant of sin." John 8:34
Jesus Christ came to take away the load of sin from man and to destroy its works and effects in us.
1 John3:8
Therefore, do not give yourself to any form of sin, do not go back to your old lifestyle of worldliness and
artificial fashions, drinking alcohol, smoking, fornications, Iying, cheating, masturbation, insincerity.
disobedience etc. again. Rom. 6: 12-13
Some of the evidences of the new birth are if you are born again:
1. You will stop living a sinful life.
2. You will destroy every link or connection to sin.
3. You will start doing your restitutions
4. You will
cut away from every friendship with the world and every worldliness.
5. You will have increased love
for God and the things of God.

Question 4: Can a Christian couple watch Pornographic film? Ex. 20: 26; Matt.5:28
Question 5: Can my dressing take me to hell? Zeph. 1:8, Pro.7: 10
Question 6: How will my dressing take me to hell? Matt. 5: 28; Matt. 18: 6-9; Rom. 14:13

Amen 🙌
I read a book by John Steinbeck once called "The Pearl" and to summarize, "It is a parable about a Mexican Indian pearl diver named Kino who finds a valuable pearl and is transformed by the evil it attracts. Kino sees the pearl as his opportunity for a better life. When the townsfolk of La Paz learn of Kino’s find, he is immediately set upon by a greedy priest, a doctor, and businessmen. After a series of disasters, Kino throws the pearl back into the ocean."
We're all searching for "treasure" in life. We're all searching for meaning and purpose, understanding, for acceptance, for security, for love, for where we fit into this world.
For some people it's money, for others a career, for many it's fame and glory, for some still it's as simple as family and or a partner or kids, or even just trying to experience all that life has to offer and living in the moment.
Listen, there's nothing wrong with these. They are indeed "treasures" but they're temporary treasures that aren't guaranteed to last a lifetime, and it's a well known fact they won't do you much good after this life, they're fine pursuits and motivations and aspirations and goals, but ultimately they bring no lasting meaning (the book of Ecclesiastes).
Very much like Kino, the "pearls" we think will change our lives for the better often disappoint. If they don't, then they'll never be enough. Why have one pearl when you could have two? Why settle for two when you could have a whole necklace of pearls?
The Bible tells us we'll know we've struck "gold" not just when we've heard about Jesus, but when we've heard his call in our lives.
Romans 8:28-30 NLT
[28] And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. [29] For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. [30] And having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And having called them, he gave them right standing with himself. And having given them right standing, he gave them his glory.
It's not enough to hear about Jesus, it's not enough to believe in Jesus. We need to surrender ourselves to him. To surrender yourself just means to trust him. Whatever weighs on your heart, he knows your thoughts and your feelings and don't worry, he already knows what you're going to say before you even say it. That's because he loves you so much he gave you a gift. The gift of the Holy Spirit. It dwells within you (Romans 8:9). It is your guide and it is your voice. It is God himself inside you, and he is knocking. It's up to you to answer the door (Revelation 3:20). If you haven't surrendered yourself to God, wholeheartedly and completely surrendered yourself to God yet, then I have to say my brother and sister that it would be the wisest choice you could ever make, and I think all Children of God can tell you that it's the best choice you'll ever make. Because then you won't just be somebody but the person that God made you to be. You'll be a part of his body (1 John3:1).
I love you my brothers and sisters, but there's no love like the love of Jesus, may God bless you, always 🤍
44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field. 45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: 46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it. - Matthew 13:44-46 KJV
I was listening to this song about v. 44 above, and it struck me that the treasure the man found was far more valuable than the purchase price of the field. Selling "all that he had" was hardly a sacrifice for the man, compared with what he knew he would gain by buying that field. Likewise, when we give our all to the Lord, we find in time that the Lord gives us far more in return.
Unlike the man in the first parable, who happened upon his treasure, the merchant was actively searching for "goodly pearls". And he found one: a "pearl of great price". It was of such a high value that the merchant, like the man with the field, was willing to sacrifice all that he had in order to obtain it. No doubt he knew the value of pearls and had come across many already. No doubt he understood just how priceless this singular pearl was. "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you" (Matt. 7:7). Those who honestly seek the truth will find it, and will understand the eternal value of what they have found.
No matter how we come by the gospel of Jesus Christ, whether by happenstance or by diligent search, the same sacrifice is asked of each of us: "all that [we] have". But the return is far greater: eternal life in the presence of God.
That is why the kingdom of heaven is like the man and the merchant: because it is filled with those who understand this, filled with those who sacrificed all other treasures for the matchless gift to be there.

John 3:30
Now a days faith isn’t as common [as it should be]. Especially in younger generations. That’s sad for a variety of reasons, the main one being that God is the answer to everything, to every. single. need. We need to have a faith as bold and zealous as Paul’s. Paul went from executing Christians to BECOMING Christian himself. From persecuting those who loved and followed Jesus to loving and following Jesus himself. He put his whole trust in and devoted himself to God. Why is it that it’s getting more difficult for us to do this? Why is it that faith is “unpopular” lately? The world is the way it is right now because God is being removed. From schools, workplaces, media, etc. People don’t want to allow prayer in schools; they don’t want people talking about it where they work; they give a look to those who pray before eating; songs, movies, tv shows all (media) are now adding to the trend of non-believing. Unless believers speak up, nonbelievers and those who remain uncertain will be lured away from faith in the One True GOD.
May HE become greater and we become less.

The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.”                                                                                                                                                                                                                 [Luke1:30-33] But Jesus said“I am the way and the truth and the life. A Note/Poem-Written in 1981 A note written by me, Andy Neckar, in early 1981. I took my last drink Oct 21 1981. I found the note on a piece of paper in with a bunch of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) 30-day sobriety chips. I just thought I would send it out. I was trying HARD to stop drinking for the past three years and then, one day, going about my business as usual, AA took hold. I was ashamed of myself, and I knew I was not worthy of my family.  Mon would go into the room I was in, and I would go into another.  I was ashamed to be in the same room with her. I checked myself into a place called Soul’s Harbor. They had AA meetings nightly and a Protestant  minister come out each Sunday.  I was Roman Catholic until 1991. After a few weeks they put me on a work detail and the thought hit me that if I could work for them, why couldn’t I work to support my family? (Wife & three kids)  This was early 1981.  I came back home, got a job (good paying) and sobered up soon after. I remember her telling me that year, Andy, your children are growing up all around you, and if you don’t sober up pretty soon, you’re gonna miss out on all of it. Anyway here is the poem I found recently. A lot of water under the bridge since then, and Jesus the Christ in my heart and on my mind, with the Spirit influencing my behavior. GOD is good. Andy ************************************* THE POEM It all seems so hopeless Your bills are all past due Your family’s getting tired Of putting up with you. And even though you love them As you know love to be Your selfish mind keeps telling you What can I do for me Momma’s holding things together As best as she can do She’s bringing up the children Without any help from you. There were some precious moments But somehow I can’t recall It’s a hopeless situation Brought on by alcohol. Andrew Neckar, they’re calling your name They’re gonna get you, you’re to blame They see through the stories that you tell so fine They’re gonna gets you this time. Ten years later (1991) I came to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. #John3 #ServingJesusChrist #Alcoholism #BeatAlcohol https://www.instagram.com/p/By2eHj4l1NF/?igshid=5stl02n2sm21

Servant Leadership
Today’s internship lesson was on leadership and
Aspect 1: Seeks Glory of His Master
As a leader, there is temptation to seek power control but as the word says:
“The one who speaks on his own authority seeks his own glory; but the one who seeks the glory of him who sent him is true, and in him there is no falsehood.” ~ John 7:18
A servant leader seeks the reputation of God, not his own.
Aspect 2: Sacrificially Seek Highest Joy of Those They Serve
“It shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant” ~ Matthew 20:26
A servant leader will make necessary sacrifices to seek the progress of other’s in the faith which will result in the greater glory of God!
Aspect 3: Forgo His Rights Than Obscure Gospel
The gospel is center of their leadership so the leader must trust in not own ability but in Christ’s. There’s a beautiful song by City Alight called,Yet Not I But Through Christ in Me which captures this beautifully. Another example is Paul:
“To the present hour we hunger and thirst, we are poorly dressed and buffeted and homeless, and we labor, working with our own hands. When reviled, we bless; when persecuted, we endure; when slandered, we entreat. We have become, and are still, like the scum of the world, the refuse of all things. I do not write these things to make you ashamed, but to admonish you as my beloved children.”~ 1 Corinthians 4:11-14
Paul abstained from certain drinks or foods to not stumble people. Paul refused financial support, went poor, hungry, and homeless in order to promote the gospel! Moreover, he even decided not to marry and was martyred for his Lord!
“Do we not have the right to eat and drink? Do we not have the right to take along a believing wife, as do the other apostles and the brothers of the Lord and Cephas? Or is it only Barnabas and I who have no right to refrain from working for a living? Who serves as a soldier at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard without eating any of its fruit? Or who tends a flock without getting some of the milk?” ~ 1 Corinthians 9:4-7
Paul made himself a servant to all to win more people for the gospel!
A servant leader will forgo self for the sake of the gospel.
Aspect 4: Not Preoccupied with Personal Visibility or Occupation
John the Baptist was an example of this: he had a huge role but didn’t act like it:
The one who has the bride is the bridegroom. The friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly at the bridegroom's voice. Therefore this joy of mine is now complete. ~ John 3:29
He considers himself the friend of the bridegroom and his joy was that he would prepare the way for the bridegroom to come!
A servant leader doesn’t look to making for himself a great reputation or building an occupation for himself but that Jesus’ work is first done.
Aspect 5: Anticipates and Graciously Accepts Time for Decrease
We could be leading a church ministry or a leading something else for a season. An example is the same John the Baptist who said in that same passage in the next verse,
“He must increase, but I must decrease.” ~ John 3:30
A servant leader recognizes when the Lord is changing things and He is taking you out of role of leadership. One of my fellow interns sent this article about Francis Chan who is seeing a new season of life in moving to Hong Kong. This is one area I particularly want to grow in as well since I can relate being in a similar season!

I Am Known and Loved
I absolutely love the Christmas story!💗 It is one of the most beautiful stories in the bible. Young Mary being chosen to carry the reason for the season (Jesus) in her womb. What an honor! Without Jesus, there would be no true Christmas as we know it. I wonder, would Christmas even exist at all?
One of my favorite parts of the first Christmas story is when the angel Gabriel came to speak to Mary…
