I love rarepairs, especially in shows with a lot of different characters. But recently I’ve seen people try and diss on people who like them by calling them ‘spin a wheel’ or ‘random character generator ships…
so that’s exactly how i’m going to find out what my new top 3 favorite rarepairs are. And they are
Scott x Justin
Shawn x Sugar
Jo x Leshawna
I AM NOW THE WORLDS BIGGEST JUSCOTT, SHUGAR, AND JOSHAWNA SHIPPER

Flat color of the Roti cast at 26! After Lightning’s win.
‘Quick’ explanations for everyone-
Staci’s a hairdresser- She hasn’t quite gotten to owning her own shop yet, but she’s just as happy as long as she can help others see how beautiful they are! She’s made an unlikely friendship with Anne Maria, who shares her profession and love of all things cosmetic.
Brick went off to fashion school after serving in the military for a bit, and has since graduated! He’s more confident in himself, and is trying his best to start his own fashion line. His closest friends from the Roti cast are Anne Maria, Staci, and Dakota, who he talks with often about fashion and hair- Scott, who he’s dating- and Jo, for old times sake.
Scott never fully recovered from Fang’s attack without extra funding and was left with a permanent limp and chronic pain… poor guy. Still, after living on the farm for a few years, he reconnected with Brick at a cast reunion and the two have been going strong since. He’s still trucking despite his disability, and he’s supporting Brick with all he’s got.
Jo never got to open her dream gym, but instead got into nursing. A strange choice for her? Maybe, but she’s good at giving her patients what they need. Oh, and she’s a pro with physical therapy. Despite Lightning’s messiness for a few years, and their initial relationship, Jo and him are pretty good friends now- though that doesn’t stop her from egging him on from time to time.
Dakota’s a professional fighter, while Sam’s a game developer. They’ve been married the second longest, after Zoke, of course. When she’s not killing it in the ring, Dakota’s still quite fashion forward. Her mutation’s been reversed a good amount, but not all the way. It’s unlikely it’ll ever be fully cured, but Dakota’s okay with that. She’s got Sam on her side all the way, after all! As for him, his newest game ‘Groundstory’ absolutely blew up after a great crowdfunding campaign! You’ve probably heard of it.
Anne Maria’s newly single after a messy relationship back in Jersey. She’s crashing with Jo for the time being, so who knows how long that’ll last? Maybe longer than you think… ;) For now she’s working at a hair salon and sharing lots of tips with Staci, while helping Brick with his fashion line, since Scott’s got NO eye for this kinda thing.
Lightning… well, he’s had an interesting journey to get where he is now. For the first few years after winning, everything was great! He was the star of the football team he’d been drafted by, a literal millionaire, and his dad was finally giving him his time! But then… poorly managed wealth is a recipe for disaster, leading to Lightning being dropped by the NFL, his dad disowning him, and a pretty bad drinking and binge eating problem. Only when Cameron intervened was Lightning given any hope of getting better, and he’s on the road to recovery now. They live together, the two comprising a pretty odd couple, but a happy one nonetheless.
Cameron found he liked helping others with their mental health after a bit of trying to figure out what to do with his life, and became a licensed therapist after blowing through college. After a bit of helping Mike and Zoey with their first child, he reached out to a very depressed Lightning and made it his goal to rehabilitate his former competitor. After a few intense years, a few relapses, and an unexpected level of bonding, the two of them now live together, not married- but taking it one step at a time. Cameron’s proud of his boyfriend.
Mike and Zoey got married after All-Stars, and had their first kid at 20. Rosie is the light of their lives, and soon little Enzo will be joining the picture as well. Zoey’s been responsible for every cast meetup since All-Stars ended, and she spends her free time writing about her experiences on reality television. She was Canada’s mom of the year when Rosie was two years old!
Mike, as it turns out, didn’t delete his disorder with the press of a button. Woah. Mike and the gang are multi talented, and each of them have found their passions in different things. Chester’s retired, but the dream of being Miss Canada’s still there. Svetlana hasn’t stopped practicing her gymnastics, and is ready for another go at the Olympics! Vito likes to club, but is surprisingly good with Rosie- besides Mike, he’s her favorite. Manitoba Smith still lives for adventure, and helps Dawn and B in their animal sanctuary when he can. Mal works with Mike at their office job, trolling any employer who gets a little too comfortable in their position. If there’s anything the two of them can agree on, it’s that their boss sucks.
B’s inventions started to earn him a lot of money not long after Roti, but he kept it humble, and helps fund Dawn’s nature sanctuary as one of it’s main supporters. The two of them live happily together, their ability to understand each other when no one else could bonding them for life. B’s working every day to make machines more environmentally friendly, and reduce the carbon footprint of humanity.
Dawn fundraised for years, and with some intense determination on her part, along with some help from B, she finally got to create the animal sanctuary she’d always wanted in the mountains of British Columbia. She works there full-time, surrounded by the nature she’s always loved. At home, she lives with her cat Gaia and her partner B.

title: running circles prompt: jo discovering his fiancée is his adoptive daughter's biological mother. for: kayla ( @outfromthesea ) requested via discord who: josef volkov & maria verse: not a specific one. notes: 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 triggers: a child needing a medical donation, adoption. i mean, jo finds out his fiancee is his adoptive daughter's biological mother? possible triggers would be stuff related to that.

Confusion is an emotion Josef feels often. Though his expression is usually neutral or he has the smallest of smiles on his face, he rarely ever shows confusion with his face. It does not come naturally for him, and it may just have to do with his upbringing, and how he’s always had to be somewhat guarded about how he feels.
Though, today, when he’s told Maria is likely the birth mother of his daughter Maya, his eyebrows do furrow in and his mouth does quirk to the right as he scratches behind his neck. “Excuse me?” He expresses in such a quiet voice that he’s surprised that the doctor even hears him.
“Yes, the biological mother of your child is the woman you’re engaged to, currently,” the doctor says matter-of-fact. “Usually, these types of things would have to be kept under wraps, but seeing as I don’t know her and the reason she’s in both of your lives now could be to get Maya back, maybe you should be careful? Possibly, even get in touch with someone before speaking with her privately about it. Because this is a rare occurrence. However,” The doctor pauses, and Jo’s eyes close as he tries to process all that he’s heard, “I think this rare occurrence could benefit Maya in this moment, and possibly save her young life.”
Josef is trying to collect his thoughts at this moment. He is trying to think of any world where Maria would take Maya from him or pretend to love him to have Maya for herself.
The whole concept, even in a false, alternate universe feels ridiculous to him – impossible. Especially, since Maria has told him that when she was younger she gave up her child for adoption. Had this all been a lie, he does not think she’d tell him.
But at the same time, people are messed up. They lie and they hurt others for their own benefit. Yet, this is, he just can’t picture Maria doing that to him – or to Maya.
“I actually…think this is a misunderstanding?” Jo replies a little louder, but his voice is still low. The doctor’s eyebrow shoots up. “I doubt Maria wants Maya and I think…the universe, if anything, is the one playing games.” Because Jo’s daughter is in the hospital, and she needs a donation to keep on living. It happens. But it’s still cruel. And he does think that, if there is a God, she or he wouldn't make Maria lie to him after doing something as awful as having his daughter in need of help he’s incapable of giving her. “Because….I don’t think she’s aware of this.”
Which has him think that maybe Maria will leave him once she finds out that Maya is actually hers biologically. Though he understands if she does, and he gets that some people just aren’t ready for something as huge as what’s happening now, he hopes she at least sticks around. Because he doubts, he highly highly doubts, she’ll say no in assisting in saving Maya’s life.
“You think Maria just…met you out of pure happenstance?” the doctor asks, “No ulterior motives at all?”
“None…” Josef admits, looking at his hands now at the hospital waiting room begins to blur. “I again, think, without a doubt that she’d never manipulate me like that. It’s not in her nature.”
The doctor nods. “Well, she’s currently the only available match. I think, if she doesn’t do it, we have to look for more options and that could be difficult.”
Jo nods. “I don’t think she’ll say no…” But also, Jo isn’t sure she’ll stay around. Which hurts, but again, he gets it.

The Disability Library
I love books, I love literature, and I love this blog, but it's only been recently that I've really been given the option to explore disabled literature, and I hate that. When I was a kid, all I wanted was to be able to read about characters like me, and now as an adult, all I want is to be able to read a book that takes us seriously.
And so, friends, Romans, countrymen, I present, a special disability and chronic illness booklist, compiled by myself and through the contributions of wonderful members from this site!
As always, if there are any at all that you want me to add, please just say. I'm always looking for more!

Our own
Pairing: Joel Miller x reader
Summary: After spending the day with Tommy and Maria, you can’t help but notice how great Joel is with their baby, and a thought sparks your mind.
Listen I’m not gonna sit here and pretend I proofread this ok? I'm an honest woman. You may forgive me or not, either way, I'm going to sleep. Bye loves
Tumblr media
The sun was high in the sky, birds were chirping, a soft breeze was flowing through your hair... and Tommy was taking his goddamn time opening the goddamn door.
"I told you you should have gone to the bathroom when we left" Joel chuckled by your side
"Now's really not the time Jo-"
Your next words got stuck in your throat as the sound of the lock opening caught your attention.
"Hey guys, I'm sorry the bab-"
"don't worry" you immediately stopped him, feeling your bladder about to burst "Could I use your bathroom?"
He did a poor job of concealing his surprise.
"Uh-Yea sure, it's right up there on the-"
You flew past him, only half minding where his finger was pointing.
"left" he mumbled, an amused smile creeping on his lips as he let his gaze travel to his brother
Joel shrugged, a similar grin tugging at his own lips "I told her to go before we went out"
__ __ __
You walked out of the bathroom feeling like a brand new woman, ready to face whatever life threw at you, which in this case... was following the sound of laughter coming from the backyard.
What appeared on the other side of the window, was a perfect portrait of a happy family.
Tommy and Maria's smiles were brighter than any star in the sky as they watched Eithan, their baby boy, cradled in Joel's arms, looking almost comically small next to his biceps.
And Joel... Joel had a look on his face you had never quite seen. It wasn't just joy, or adoration... there was something in his eyes, in the way his mouth twitched as the baby's small hands reached for his nose, as he caressed his cheek and willed his hands to act as if he were touching porcelain.
You could not put a finger on what it was, but you couldn't either understand what was happening to you.
A warmth had taken over your chest, cheeks... your entire body. And something was fluttering in your belly, it wasn't butterflies no, it was more like- like bunnies, countless little bunnies hopping in your stomach and twisting and turning your insides.
It was perhaps the first time in your life your body had understood something before you could.
A wave brought you back to reality, to life, to the portrait before your eyes.
It was Maria, Maria was waving at you to come out with them, so, of course, you did, begging your legs not to give up on you as the same strange sensation threatened your every step.
"hey" You managed "Sorry for before"
"don't even bother, I'm used to it by now" Tommy huffed out a laugh, nudging Maria by his side
She rolled her eyes dramatically, her mouth betraying her as its edges turned up.
"Ignore him," she said, "please sit, I've been dying to talk to another human being without having to use a baby voice"
You snorted, taking your place next to Joel at the round wooden table.
"That bad huh?"
"God you have no idea..."
Maria went on to talk, about Eithan about... something, but your attention had moved elsewhere by the time she was done with the first sentence.
You watched Joel softly rocking the baby, the smile on his face, the glint in his eyes, and you couldn't help but think
God, how I wish it was our own
__ __ __
"Are you ok darlin'?"
Joel's voice startled you enough to make you gasp.
You had been in your own head for so long that you hadn't even realized you had walked all the way home.
"yeah, why?"
"you've just been real quiet, 's all"
he shrugged, closing the front door behind him.
"I'm fine- Everything's fine," you said a bit too quickly, walking to the kitchen while purposely avoiding his eyes
The footsteps behind you told you he hadn't taken the hint, and was following you.
"what's going on?"
You reached for a glass and filled it up to the brim only to realize you weren't even a little bit thirsty.
"nothing" you mumbled, setting the glass on the counter and finally meeting his scrutinizing gaze "It's nothing" you shook your head
"sweetheart..." he walked until he stood in front of you "Whatever it is you can tell me, y'know?"
Your mouth opened and closed but no sound had come out.
"I just-" you bit your bottom lip "it's nothing, really, it's stupid"
A soft smirk rose from his lips "Now that I don't believe, nothing stupid has ever come out of that petty mouth" One of his rough fingers went to trace your cupid bow "C'mon now, darlin' what is it?"
"I-" you tried, before retracing immidately "You have to promise not to laugh, or freak out... or do anything that isn't reacting calmly"
He couldn't help the frown creasing his forehead "I promise" he swore nonetheless.
"Ok" you took a small breath.
This wasn't gonna be easy, not with his past, not with everything he had to endure, not with him.
"I-I watched you today with Eithan, and-well-I-" You shut your eyes, unable to take more of his big brown eyes boring into yours
"What, sugar?"
"Well, it- it made me think"
Something flashed behind his eyes
"About what?"
You swallowed the sand in your mouth "About how great of a dad you'd be" you murmured "to our own child"
Now was his turn to be at a loss for words.
He looked at you, so many thoughts, memories, and fears swirling in his mind that he could have fainted, if it wasn't of course, for you, for the expression on your face, for the hope and anxiety painting your every perfect inch.
It was a mess, his brain was a mess, everything was a mess, and yet he'd never felt more sure.
he should have been scared, terrified even, but all he could feel was joy.
"I know it's crazy" you spoke "With what's going on and everything... and I know we already have Ellie in a way... and I know it must be difficult because of what happened to Sarah, and it's completely ok if you don't want to, I understand, really, so please don't feel pressured to-"
"sweetheart"
one word was all it took for him to stop your rambling.
You looked up at him, catching your reflection in the hazel pool of his eyes.
"yes?"
"There is nothing more I'd love in this world than to have a baby with you"
"a-are you sure, b-because as I sai-"
He chuckled, his forehead falling to yours and his hands holding your face.
"darlin'" he paused, a smile on his lips "believe me, I don't think I've ever been more sure of anything in my life"
A breath got caught in your throat as fireworks went off somewhere in your brain.
"Yeah?" was all you could master
"yeah" he laughed, his lips meeting yours in a mess of tears, teeths and laughters "We're gonna have a baby"

Äänestyksen rosmoaminen
Tumblr media
No minäpä kerron!
Tässä turnauksessa otetaan käyttöön mekaniikka, jota itse näin käytettävän ensimmäisen kerran @/lesmisshippingshowdown -turnauksessa (mikäli teillä on vahvoja tunteita ranskalaisista neitsyistä, suosittelen vilkaisemaan tuota kilpaa!).
Skaala on mieletön. Tietenkin pisteytys saattaa tuollaisissa tilanteissa olla lievän mielivaltaista.
x
Viikko on tosi lyhyt aika :(
- Totta.
x
Harjoittaako turnausisäntä laadunvalvontaa?
- Kaikki saavat osallistua rosmoukseen taitotasosta riippumatta.
x
Pisteytys
Pisteet ovat aina alttiita tapauskohtaiselle muokkaukselle
Fanitarinat
Tarinan on oltava vähintään raapale eli 100 sanaa.
Sopivia Ao3-henkisiä tägejä olisivat esimerkiksi #Miukumauku Needs a Hug, #Hurt Miukumauku, #Miukumauku Whump, #Hurt/Comfort tai #Angst
Jokaisesta sadasta sanasta ansaitset 0,2% ääntä missellesi. Pisteytän sanamäärän pyöristettynä lähimpään sataan.
Runoutta ei pisteytetä sanamäärän mukaan, katso alempaa.
Jos lisäät fanitarinasi suoraan tumblriin, laita se aina read more -palkin alle.
x
Fanitaide
x
Analyysi
Julkaise analyysi, jonka näkökulman kannalta on olennaista, että ehdokkaasi elää miukumaukuuden kurimuksessa. Analyysin on oltava pituudeltaan vähintää 100 sanaa.
Mikäli lisäät analyysisi suoraan tumblriin, muista laittaa se read more -palkin alle.
x
Fanivideot
Soittolistassa on oltava vähintään kahdeksan (heh) perusteltua kappaletta.
Näin ollen äänitilanne on virallisesti 50,4%/49,6%. Niiskuneidin mahdollisuus voittaa on kasvanut, varsinkin, jos muutkin intoutuvat rosmoamaan... Kunhan Kari Sorjosen fanit eivät ryhdy puolustuskannalle!
x
Teoksen on jollain tavalla liityttävä missesi miukumaukuuteen.
Tekoälyn käyttö rosmoamisessa on kielletty.
