What's the weirdest thing you guys have ever stolen?

Matt insisted on the zoo for his 27th birthday, he wanted to get really high and stare at meerkats for a while. I can do that, arrived at the zoo, ate too many edibles. Usual stuff. I have no idea how - or how we got home for that matter - but when I could finally stop feeling my brain squishing around in my skull Matt refused to let me in the bathroom.

He stole a fucking penguin. It has shit everywhere and put a bunch of holes in the floor somehow. He claims I’m the one who suggested it and scaled the wall first but I know for a fact I wouldn’t have got anywhere without him opening the locks for me.

We dropped it to the reception the next morning, after Matt had taken enough pictures and gotten two of his fingers bitten. I taped a note to its back and pushed it into the general area of the staff before legging it.

The whole house stank of fish and weird animal musk for weeks.

Bowser takes a looooooot to get drunk. Even more than you'd think from his size. People don't think he can get drunk at all, because they expect him to get fighty or weepy, but he actually just tends to wander off and fall asleep somewhere. The wandering can be a problem but he gets truly drunk so rarely that it's barely happened more than twice.

Luigi is very gregarious when he's drinking, it tends to smooth out the anxiety so he can relax more. But he has to be careful because he also forgets his strength, and has a tendency to say the things he usually keeps bottled up, and he always feels awful about it in the morning even if it wasn't that bad.

Bowser refuses to admit most of his flaws. A lot of them he doesn't even see, but the big one that he knows deep down is how lonely he is. People don't like him, not really, not on a one-on-one basis. Even if his troops look up to him they're not anything like friends. But until he starts figuring out all those other flaws, that's not going to change.

Luigi is aware of and willing to admit most of his flaws, and would probably even work on them if encouraged to, but the truth he can't admit is that he's more heroic than he thinks. He feels like because he's scared all the time, and sometimes jealous of his brother, that invalidates all his genuine kindness and courage. Deep deep down, he also likes the adventure. He thinks he wants a quiet life, but if he went too long without anything weird happening he wouldn't know what to do with himself.

Bowser's been alone, and lonely, for so long that he's probably done a lot of embarrassing stuff he never wants to to tell anyone (even more than the embarrassing stuff he's done in public). People get weird when they're trapped in their own heads most of the time. Think Dark Helmet playing with his dolls type stuff.

I think Luigi had a depressed goth phase in his teens that he's ashamed of now. He shouldn't be, it's normal, but he feels like he didn't "earn" the depths of his depression because his family loved and supported him. He's never told anybody, not even Mario, what he really thought during that time.

This one could be considered a characterization challenge, if it interests you. A bodytype swap for Sandy and a regular Lego-type character (MK, Mei, Wukong, etc.). I'd be really curious to see how you'd render Sandy looking "normal" while still being Sandy, and the other character having his huge build while still being themself.

This is extremely silly and I love the idea! Tang immediately came to mind for this prompt because his self doubt combined with his vanity would make him super psyched to suddenly be buff.. so I turned it into a fantasy of his 😂 Obv Sandy is totally fine with giving up his strength to make a friend happy too

im a souyo truther above all else- so Yosk still likes him no matter what. He's still a shadow and has his monstery qualities so he still qualifies- I think!!

Silly Game Time: Personally, I find most sports boring to watch. So let's fix that by adding a twist or a new rule or something to one sport!

First, which sport do you choose? Second, what are you adding to its gameplay?

(For Example: Ping-Pong. I would make it so that, after every point is scored, both players are randomly assigned different objects to use as paddles. Like a shoe, or a spatula, handfan, lawn flamingo, or etc.)

Okay, hear me out. What if we took lacrosse. bastardized it. and played it on a soccer-sized court with all the violence of ice-hockey?

Long time fan of "Long Exposure", which I figured I ought to take the time to say. Love how messy their emotions are as confused teens, how cute and soft Jonas is compared to Mitch being all sharpness and angles, and the visual rendering of their powers.

Although, I do gotta say, to this day it cracks me up how soberly Jonas announces to his sister that he's attracted to Mitch. Kid says he has a crush with all the grim gravitas of a Greecian hero recounting how the Oracle at Delphi forecasted the tragic doom of his entire house. Like, chill out, boyo, just because you get a flutter when you think about kissing him, it doesn't mean your fates and fortunes are inextricably bound together. Typical teenage drama.

How did confirming the existence of supernatural stuff (shinigami, the Death Note, etc.) shape your world views and spiritual beliefs?

It was both a big deal and not at the same time. We knew something was up. Something weird that we couldn’t explain but was clearly there. It was fairly obvious that something was happening outside of what was considered normal. You didn’t have to attend Wammys to figure that out.

I don’t really have spiritual beliefs. My parents did and loved to drag all of us to church every Sunday. The people were okay and the sermons were boring but it always felt like a waste of time. If I were a god I wouldn’t care who packed into a room to worship me, I wouldn’t keep tally. I’d be God with more interesting things to do.

The confirmation of Shinigami…well it’d be disingenuous to say it didn’t shock me. We expected something strange but this was beyond what we had theorised. The rules being true gave everyone a sense of panic or calm, depending on who you asked. If the rules were right we had no reason to fear death - nothingness was waiting on the other side no matter how many tongues you ripped out or bones you broke. For me that was a peaceful realisation, the one that finally put my niggling conscience to rest after I come home covered with someone else’s blood.

I suppose it was just a shift in my reality. Where before there was God and the promise of hell for me - now it was Sidoh and nothingness. Not a huge change except I don’t get tortured for eternity.

If you met Sidoh you wouldn’t fear death either.

I did ask a few times if there were other types of God beside the shinigami but Sidoh only laughed, whether because the answer of other Gods was so obvious he found my question fickle or no Gods existed and my question was absurd…he never confirmed or denied. Just kept laughing that same wheezing laugh.

Either way, nothingness is waiting.

I want to attempt to make a burnt basque cheesecake sometime, I've done a few basic cheesecakes (I did a burnt butter cheesecake with a malt crumb base a few years ago, I learned a lot from making that, I think I can do better)
