Big crime week in Seattle (for @lordfarqussy and @bedbugbiting)

I can't believe it's been only 52 days since this post:

I started going up on the roof more so that @loulooser could vicariously enjoy my American roof access, and the results thus far:

1) The psoriasis on my face cleared up

2) I started hosting a weekly cookout for my neighbors

3) I now have a group chat of roof-met neighborfriends of 11 people and growing

4) One of those neighbors took me to her favorite thrift store and I found a ton of great clothes that fit me made of fibers I can actually wear

5) My husband and I are probably going into business with two of our roof-met neighborfriends

6) One of those future business partners is my new IRL bestie

7) She's setting up daily group study sessions so we can "body double" to stay motivated and on-task, so the chances of me actually finishing my accounting degree just shot up significantly

8) @concussedwombat and I are motivated to finally get our living room cleaned and organized and decorated and set up for entertaining guests so that our neighborfriends can just drop in and hang out whenever

9) that means we'll be keeping the kitchen, hallway, and bathroom clean too

I am still super chatty for a Seattleite. I go out of my way to smile and say hi to people I pass on the street, I try to always tell anyone wearing a cool outfit or with cool hair that I like their look, and sometimes I can't help but interject myself into political conversations in parks and bars.

So yeah, the maple wraiths are definitely going to eat me first when they invade, just like in A Quiet Place.

Seattlites who make too much small talk and eye contact get shipped off to Point Roberts to live with the maple wraiths.

The giant flag and flagpole were from Amazon's new "Haul" subsite -- basically their version of Temu and Wish -- I had to keep explaining to neighbors who came up to the roof to watch that "I'm not normally this patriotic, I swear!!! I'm just doing a Colbert bit for my British friend!!!!!"

The silver lining of the Blue Angels terrorizing my neighborhood every year is that it's a GREAT way to find new locals to follow.

All I gotta do is search Tumblr for "Blue Angels" during the practices, sort by Latest, and follow everyone who complains.

Blue Angels time of year! 🤩 Getting really excited about JPM calendar ideas…I’m thinking of including more variations in art styles/mediums like gouache or watercolor, maybe doing a traditional sketch too (though perhaps that’s better as an extra print to include).
