What! Amit Sadh May Be Seen As Son-In-Law Of Vidya Balan In Shakuntala Devi Biopic

Few days ago, we have reported you that Bengali actor Jissu Sengupta is playing the role of Vidya Balan’s husband in Shakuntala Devi biopic. Shakuntala Devi has been known as the human computer. Now, we have come to know about another cast member in the movie. It is a movie by director Anu Menon. From a reliable source, we have been informed that son-in-law of Shakuntala Devi has been casted for the movie also. It is believed that Amit Sadh has been roped by the makers for this part.

Last time, Amit Sadh has been noticed in Hrithik Roshan starrer Super 30. The makers have been discussing about the part with Amit for a really long time. According to the source, “Talks are mostly positive with the actor who is on the verge to sign or has already signed on the dotted lines” Character name of Amit Sadh in the movie will be Ajay Abhay Kumar. It is said, “Amit seemed perfect for the character, which is going to be an integral part of the narrative. The actor has already given his nod.” However, confirmation on the subject cannot be obtained from the actor yet.

Watched a 🎥 movie ,” Shakuntala Devi”. The picture was well directed by Anu Menon.

A journey of a genius women mathematician with peaks and valleys in personal relationships in spite of that having an immortal sprit of life to live by her own terms ,was articulated nicely. The screenplay was precise and fast.

Vidya Balan as Shakuntala Devi, portrayed the role very well. Jissu Sengupta did proper justice to the character as Shakuntala Devi’s husband.

Overall, this is an excellent movie to watch in the weekend.

Critic-1 : 

By turning Rani Laxmi Bai's valour into pulpy posturing about her wanting to be a mashaal (fire) of azaadi (freedom) in the hearts of her people for all times to come, the ho-hum screenplay (by KK Vijayendra Prasad) delivers a comic-strip rendition of a memorable, if tragic, chapter of Indian history, shorn of its intricacies. It captures neither the exemplary heroism nor the pathos of the queen's life.

Critic-2 :

The film skews, naturally, towards the ruling establishment in its exhortation of what nationalism means (there’s a great Scindia-Gwalior dig in there). A calf is saved from slaughter. Dialogues abound about ‘Bharat Mata’ and its ‘betis’, and a priceless one goes like this: ‘jab beti uth khadi hoti hai toh jeet badi hoti hai’. Claptrap, yes. But also clap clap.

Critic-3 : Ranaut makes you believe it. Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi sets up a world where the woman wages war, while the men dance and matchmake. Ranaut is gleeful as she shows the men how its done, fencing expertly while running across the backs of horses and onto that of an elephant. These are cartoonish stunts, but we should ask ourselves if the reason they feel harder to swallow is because she isn’t named Akshay or Ajay and is, instead, a confident woman.

Critic-4: Unfortunately, Kangana Ranaut does not come up with a riveting performance.A competent direction was needed to rein in her exaggerated facial expressions which come off like grandstanding in a stage play. And no other actor except Jissu Sen as her husband has enough to do to make an impact.

Critic-5: As has been claimed by my heroine herself, more than 70 percent of the film was directed by her and given the fact that she was a first timer, the little slow first half can surely be forgiven. But it is from the second half that the film suddenly propels into speeds of epic proportions! That’s when you realise, you already have gooseflesh, there is a shiver running down your spine and the adrenaline rush which is imminent.
