Actually feeling very emotional about the implications of the song My boy builds coffins and Jane's journey...like the song says

...and like that's absolutely how Jane views himself..."everyone that gets close to me bad things happen" he can't build anything good only death and destruction.

But then you transition to season 7 and he still feels like that with NGCS, like that he's building this life and putting himself into others and even though it's not his fault with Vega...he's still the coffin maker...but when he comes back he has a different mindset and it..

It makes me so emotional..."I'm getting married and I'm building us a house" he's leaving behind "the he doesn't make tables or dressers or chairs" to literally embracing that and building hope and building life. He's no longer the coffin maker but instead the life builder. He no longer thinks that everything he builds will result in death but instead is building things for living and things to live in, in the present...not for the dead to reside in....ugh it's just the imagery is so insane with his journey 😭

i've seen bits and pieces of the later seasons throughout the years, although on this proper watch as of now i am only on season 3 so my works might be set in the early years, instead of what later happens in canon.

i'd like to take a moment here to just say how much i love the writing of this show....the complex slowburn of jane and lisbon is so....fantastic. it's everything j/c shippers need for our fix <33

i want to write just silly oneshots of lisbon slowly falling for jane, and vice versa...but struggling to deal with the rules and restrictions on her, as well as his struggle to deal with having people he loves after red john's attack on his wife and child...

i really love them a lot and i hope i can write for them soon :)))))

First of all, this is just a really cute picture:

Second of all, I might give away my primary fandom with this one, but Agent Fischer observing the Jisbon rituals in the car was so fun. And Cho in the opening scene too. I love watching outside parties react to intricate rituals and the Jisbon rituals are elite. I absolutely adore watching them work together as equals, their dynamic is everything.

That moment when Jane pops up in the backseat of the car and startles the ladies was GOLDEN. I rewatched it so many times.

I also rewatched the opening scene a bunch because the banter is SO DAMN GOOD. Between everyone! These guys are especially skilled in the art of the reaction shot, their reactions are brilliant.

Man, the nostalgia of seeing the CBI badges. It's literally been a day or two since I watched the episode where they get shut down, and I'm already nostalgic. This is a powerful show.

Hehe, get it. It's got powers. I'm an idiot.
