This is my second time posting for the "2024 Jinnobi Challenge".
I tried to make it look like it was created in 1999, and the primitive tool I created it with helped lots.

Limbo (A Not-Poem)
Word Prompts: Weightless, indigo, tether.
Ship: QuiObi
Tags: Angst, Force Ghost Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Maturity Rating: Everyone
Note: This is my entry to the Jinnobi Challenge 2024. I call it a Not-Poem, because it has no structure, pentameter, or rhyme. Hope you enjoy my angst!
Tumblr media
In the beginning,
When he came to be,
There was darkness.
He was formless,
Sightless,
Weightless.
The silence was deafening.
Where was here?
It was bleak in the here.
Who was he?
Was.
No, he wasn’t anymore.
The Force enveloped him,
As the womb envelops the embryo,
Protective,
Warm.
Slowly,
Ever so steadily,
It starts to come to him.
At first his name: Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Then the notion of a rumbling laughter,
The idea of fleeting touches,
The perception of a beard scratching bare skin.
He realizes it’s what keeping him tethered,
Preventing him from simply…
Floating away.
Then a name comes to him: Qui-Gon Jinn.
The birth pains start,
He feels as his formless being stretches,
Molecules spreading apart.
And suddenly, indigo light.
He’s in a dark place,
Though not as dark as Limbo.
It is ragged and uneven.
Cold.
The air is damp, heavy with the scent of earth.
He is in a cavern.
A figure stands in the edge of the shadows,
Obi-Wan can feel him,
Hear his song that sings of sorrow but also greenery.
A presence he finds himself longing for.
“Qui-Gon,”
His voice is barely above a whisper,
But it carries across the cave.
The figure rouses from where it lays,
Obi-Wan’s glow illuminating azure eyes.
But in it there is sadness,
A gloom that overtakes the countenance of Qui-Gon Jinn.
“Oh, my master,”
Obi-Wan starts towards his heart,
Cradling the face of his beloved.
His beloved shivers.
“I have failed you,” Qui-Gon’s voice cracks.
Demeanor crumbling, he curls up against Obi-Wan’s ghostly form.
The memory, though old, is still fresh.
In the stillness, it is clear,
A life taken in the heat of battle.
“I’m here,” Obi-Wan murmurs, His touch gentle, “You have not failed.”
“I’m stuck with more than my bones can bear,
Your absence,
A failed apprentice,
Another child to care for.”
Obi-Wan’s light flickers softly,
His time is ending.
He smiles sadly at his master,
Who knows it’s ending.
“I’ll be back,” Though he didn’t know if he would be.
“Fall asleep with me?”
Obi-Wan lays down.
His time is ending.
The floor is cold and uncomfortable,
And he knows he will not wake up with Qui-Gon.
But he will not deny his beloved this comfort.
Obi-Wan closes his eyes,
And the next time he is aware,
He’s in Limbo.

My submission for the 2024 Jinnobi Challenge
Obi-Wan sat in his council chair, his robes doing nothing to hide the swell of his 6-month pregnant belly. The Council was waiting for Emmeline Seidler, a Jedi who had recently returned from a yearlong journey to Tibrin to recover battle plans and schematics from the Separatist base there. She was a very loud, opinionated Jedi, and her talents were mainly aimed at raising younglings straight out of the creche. She was also madly in love with Qui Gon.
“How much longer do you think?” Ki-Adi Mundi whispered to Obi-Wan, who smirked.
“Probably waiting to make a dramatic entrance,” he replied, holding back a chuckle.
Ki-Adi grunted his assent, returning to his usual impeccable posture. Several other members seemed to be asking the same question, and some were fidgeting, which was understandable, given the 30-minute wait.
Obi-Wan shifted slightly in his seat. His back was killing him. The child inside him was growing extremely heavy and it was getting difficult to stay in one position for long.
Finally, the Sentenial at the doors announced “The Jedi Knight Seidler” and the doors swung open. A short, fat woman with messy black hair and heavy makeup walked into the room, her mouth curved in a sickeningly sweet smile.
“Masters,” she said, bowing as she reached the center of the room.
“Knight Seidler, late, you are,” Yoda said, the displeasure in his voice evident.
“I apologize, Masters, I was held up at the landing pad and my speeder wouldn’t… work.” Her words trailed off as she saw Obi-Wan, who did not bother to conceal his smirk when her eyes went wide at the sight of his round middle.
Tearing her gaze from Obi-Wan, Emmeline continued with her report.
“In conclusion, the Separatist movement there is very strong and extremely widespread,” she said, hands folded under her robes.
“Then we will send Kit Fisto along with yourself as soon as we can, the movement there must be stopped,” Mace said, his voice heavy with authority.
Emmeline nodded, her eyes straying once more to Obi-Wan, who now had his hands folded over his stomach.
***
“Who’s the father?” Emmeline asked as soon as she was out of the Council Chamber, turning to Kit with desperate eyes.
“Qui Gon, of course,” Kit replied proudly, “They’ve been mated for about a year, and Obi’s about six months along.”
“Well, I supposed I’ll have to congratulate them both at the banquet tonight,” Emmeline replied coldly.
Kit forced a smile as he sent a Force message to Obi-Wan.
***
“Dear one, are you sure you’re up for this?” Qui Gon asked for what seemed to be the seventh time that night, “You haven’t wanted to go to a banquet in a while.”
“I’m sure,” Obi-Wan replied absently, trying to decide what on earth he should wear so he would look presentable.
Sighing, Qui Gon wrapped his arms around Obi-Wan’s shoulders, kissing his temple. “You’ve just been so tired lately, love,” he whispered, “I don’t want you to feel obligated to go.”
“I want to,” Obi-Wan said, turning around to kiss Qui Gon. “Besides,” he added nonchalantly, “I’m sure you don’t want me to leave you alone with Emmeline,” laughing when a look of utter horror passed over Qui Gon’s face before he buried his head in the crook of Obi-Wan’s neck.
“She’s going to be there?” Qui Gon groaned, “Now I don’t want to go.”
“But darling, don’t you want to see the love of your life?” Obi-Wan teased.
“We both know that I only tolerate her because she was Mace’s padawan, and I have a great deal of respect for him,” Qui Gon said, moving one hand to rest under Obi-Wan’s bump, “And we both also know that you’re the love of my life.”
“I would hope so,” Obi-Wan replied, moving a hand under his belly to twine his fingers with Qui Gon’s, “Seeing as I’m very pregnant with your child.”
“And you’re carrying him beautifully, might I add,” Qui Gon whispered, kissing Obi-Wan’s shoulder before drawing away.
“Hush,” Obi-Wan said, blushing.
“Force, your child has made me fat,” he lamented, examining his reflection in the mirror.
“You know that’s nowhere close to being true,” Qui Gon said in his Alpha voice, drawing a shiver out of the younger man.
“Yes, Alpha,” Obi-Wan said submissively. His Omega side had been much more powerful during his pregnancy. At 5 months, Qui Gon could bring him to his knees by tone alone.
“We’ll continue this conversation later,” Qui Gon continued, his face stern, making Obi-Wan feel much younger than he actually was, “But if we don’t leave now, we’re going to be late.”
“Well, this would go much faster if I could tie my kriffing boots,” Obi-Wan grunted, sighing in relief when Qui Gon knelt and did it for him, pressing a kiss to his belly before standing fully and entwining his hand with Obi-Wan’s. “Ready, dear one?”
***
The banquet hall was exquisite. Chandeliers glistened brightly, their ornamental crystals projecting beads of reflected light on the walls. The food was subpar as usual, but that wasn’t why they were here.
“Qui Gon! It’s been so long!’ The voice of Emmeline rang out across the room as she addressed
Qui Gon.
“Yes, it has been a while,” Qui Gon replied, silently praying for Obi-Wan, who had gone to talk to Mace, to save him. While Emmeline continued talking, Qui Gon glanced around the room, searching for his mate who was leaning against the wall and smirking as he watched Qui Gon struggle to extricate himself from the conversation.
Help, he shot down their bond. Obi-Wan only smirked. I want her to think she has a chance before I shoot her down, he replied.
Vengeful creature.
Only for you.
“Emmeline-” Qui Gon began.
“Please, call me Em, my darling Qui, after all, we’ve known each other for our whole lives,” Emmeline said sweetly, reaching for two glasses of black ale and handing one to Qui Gon, who accepted it reluctantly. “To new beginnings,” she said, holding up her glass.
“Alpha, darling, there you are!”
Qui Gon could have sighed in relief at the sound of his mate walking towards them. As soon as Obi-Wan was near, he gently grabbed him by the hand, pulling him into a brief kiss. “Hello, my love,” he said warmly, bending down to kiss Obi-Wan’s belly, “Hello, little one.”
“The Chancellor is about to give a toast,” Obi-Wan said, completely ignoring Emmeline, “And Mace wanted to talk to you about the upcoming mission.”
Qui Gon knew the last part was a lie. When Obi-Wan reached his third month of pregnancy, Qui Gon absolutely refused to leave the temple for longer than a week. Since then, Qui Gon had been teaching classes on the Living Force while Obi-Wan continued to (try) to train Anakin.
“I suppose congratulations are in order,” Emmeline said spitefully, her beady eyes fixed on Obi-Wan’s belly, “Is it twins?”
“No, just one,” Obi-Wan replied sweetly, placing a hand on his belly.
“Hmm, I would have thought that you were carrying twins,” she mused. The not-so-subtle dig was not missed by either of the Jedi masters.
“No, he’s just an excellent Omega,” Qui Gon said, pressing a kiss to Obi-Wan’s cheek, Alpha instincts flaring as he felt Obi-Wan’s feelings of inadequacy through their bond.
“Hmm.” Emmeline shrugged, her eyes still narrowed. “It was nice to see you, Qui Gon.”
***
Qui Gon sat, fuming, as he watched Obi-Wan play with his food, his cheeks slightly red. He knew what was going on in his Omega’s head, knew what effect Emmeline’s words had on him, and knew that Obi-Wan, no matter how much he tried to hide it, was self-conscious about his growing baby bump.
Darling, are you alright? He asked.
The response came a second too fast. Fine, just not hungry.
Sighing, Qui Gon returned to his meal, making sure to send reassuring words down their bond every few minutes. Obi-Wan remained silent, his thoughts locked behind a barrier that Qui Gon could have knocked down easily. It wasn’t as though he was trying to keep Qui Gon out, it was simply a request for privacy.
***
“Well that was long,” Qui Gon said wearily as they stepped into their quarters.
“Too long,” Obi-Wan agreed, throwing off his cloak and sinking onto the couch, “Do not ever let me go to one of those again.”
Qui Gon smiled, sitting beside him and letting Obi-Wan rest his head on his shoulder. He chuckled when he heard soft snores coming from the Omega. Shaking Obi-Wan gently, he grinned when his husband looked up at him with murderous, sleep-muddled eyes.
“Let’s go to bed,” he suggested, moving to stand. Obi-Wan said nothing, simply wrapping his arms tighter around Qui Gon. “Obi, come on.”
“No,” Obi-Wan groaned, “Let me stay here.”
“Under normal circumstances, I would, but you'll thank me later for not leaving you to sleep on a lumpy couch hunched over and pregnant, dear one,” Qui Gon said gently, “Do you want me to carry you?”
“ ‘M too heavy,” Obi-Wan mumbled.
Qui Gon’s heart ached as he guessed the deeper meaning behind those words. Gently, he picked Obi-Wan up, careful to support his back, which had begun to ache under the strain of a growing baby, and carried him to their bedroom, laying him down in the soft nest Obi-Wan had made 3 months earlier.
Once he made sure that Obi-Wan was comfortable, he began removing Obi-Wan’s clothes, knowing he preferred to sleep in the blankets covered with their scents. However, when he reached his tunic, Obi-Wan sleepily swatted his hands away. “Not the belly,” he murmured, “Don’t want you to see me like this.”
Qui Gon felt tears prick his eyes as he gently rubbed the swell that contained their child. How could Obi-Wan not see just how beautiful Qui Gon thought he was?
“Dear one, please let me take off your shirt,” Qui Gon whispered, “It’ll help you sleep.”
“No,” Obi-Wan said, his eyes fluttering open, “Too big.”
Defeated, Qui Gon moved to lie next to Obi-Wan. “You’re absolutely stunning,” he whispered, knowing Obi-Wan had fallen back asleep. Gently, he undid the tunic and slid it off Obi-Wan’s torso, leaning down to kiss his belly. “Hello, little one,” he mumbled against the taut skin, smiling when a foot pressed against his nose, stretching the skin of Obi-Wan’s belly slightly, “When you get here, you’ll help me remind your papa how handsome he is, right?”
Another kick, this time against the hand Qui Gon had placed on Obi-Wan’s belly. “Thank you, little one,” he whispered, pressing one more kiss to Obi-Wan’s belly before he leaned back against the pillows, leaving one hand to rest protectively over the swell of Obi-Wan’s belly.

"Do you remember our first kiss, Master?"
"I do, Padawan mine."
"It was as soon we finished that mission and secured peace."
"You were glowing in happiness, and I felt so proud of your inmense progress in such sort of period of time."
"And I felt braver, as we walked together, to be in that forest, admiring the view of the neighbor planet and the beauty of the sunset. I felt like I could do whatever I wanted."
"Yes, I felt that though our bond, Padawan. And it wasn't needing any words to communicate what we felt in that moment. The Force, as wise as always, pull us closer. No regret in the slightest."
"Indeed. What we have, wasn't attachment. It was Love."

Jinnobi Challenge 2024 Prize
Quiobi lovers, shippers, and enthusiasts, I want to show you which marvellous prize this year's Jinnobi Challenge had.
Tumblr media
It is a 1999 (!!!) poster magazine with various huge posters and pages with descriptions of the TPM characters! And since it was printed before all the non-canon stuff flooded the prequel era, this somehow feels pure and endearing.
Tumblr media
The creators of the magazine rightfully asumed that we would want Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan seen as equally important, so they had one on the front cover and one on the back. So for all the people who are used to reading Asian literatue, Obi-Wan is the one you see first.
Tumblr media
Her Highness Queen Amidala and General Binks naturally get some of the attention as well, as these two important political figures of Naboo rightfully deserve.
Tumblr media
But let's face it: I am here for him. Shocking, I know! But what can I say? If I loved him any more, I would be Obi-Wan! (Here is an example of the information given. It's basically what we see in the movie.)
Tumblr media
This is one of the posters. I didn't remove the paper clips, so I can't show you how big it really is. It's very cute, though. I bet some girls had it pinned to their walls back in 1999!
Tumblr media
I know there is this HUGE Quiobi poster inside that I really wanted to have... but... I simply cannot remove the paper clips. It would feel like destroying the magazine. And it is from 1999! What shall I do?
Tumblr media
And last but not least, I also got a card with a sweet message attached (Thank you!) and this Quiobi sticker. Where shall I put it?
Thank you so much, @infinitejedilove, for this lovely challenge that keeps the ship alive and thriving here on tumblr! It was such a joy to participate and I am so happy that I won this wonderful prize! May the challenge be even bigger next year! <3

Decision
Tumblr media
This is my story for the 2024 Jinnobi Challenge that I have been looking forward to so much! I have no clue how this all works, so I just say that there are no warnings needed. Unless Force Ghost Qui-Gon makes you too sad to read a story with him. In that case, you've been warned!
Please enjoy!
“Obi-Wan.”
The twin suns of Tatooine cast a harsh light over the endless dunes, and their scorching rays penetrated even the shadows within the cave in which Obi-Wan Kenobi had made his current home. For seven months he had lived here to watch over Anakin’s son from afar, still carrying the weight of his failures on his weary shoulders. The middle aged man once again sat cross-legged, sunk deep in a meditation as he so often did. Exactly how Qui-Gon had taught him to do. His eyes were closed, his breathing steady, yet his mind was a tempest of regrets and unspoken chaos. It made Qui-Gon uneasy to feel that Obi-Wan was so confused and… hurt?
"Obi-Wan," Qui-Gon repeated gently, his voice filled with warmth but shaken with concern. "It's good to see you again."
Obi-Wan did not open his eyes, nor did he respond. He remained still, his face a mask of stoic determination. Qui-Gon's smile faded fully now and was replaced by a look of worry. He would never have disturbed a meditation that was obviously so urgently needed. Instead, Qui-Gon chose to vanish and leave Obi-Wan alone to find whatever peace melting with the Force could gift him with.
---------------oOo--------------
Various days had passed even though it had not felt like it at all. Being one with the Force connected Qui-Gon with the whole universe but also meant that concepts like time or life and death were lost to him. He only knew how long it had truly been when he noticed Obi-Wan’s beard having grown longer than he normally liked it.
He had intended to wait for a call, a longing thought of him even, but Qui-Gon felt the curious sensation that he simply could not wait any longer. There was an ache that only being with Obi-Wan could cure. He had stopped to convince himself that it was any other feeling but the one he knew bound him to his former padawan. No, he could wait no longer.
Qui-Gon appeared with his ethereal form shimmering in the dim light within the cave, bringing some brightness and colour to it. His former padawan stood only five steps away, near the left wall where he was preparing some tea. Their positions made it impossible that Obi-Wan had not noticed his appearance. It was surprisingly painful not to be noticed once again like it had been for so many years that he had reached out to his beloved in vain. But he blinded himself with defensive ignorance. Obi-Wan had indeed perceived his presence. His beloved chose to ignore him, and this hurt even more.
"Obi-Wan, why do you refuse to speak to me?" he asked, his tone a mix of sorrow and confusion even to his ears.
He reached out with his mind, and even though Obi-Wan's soul was shielded against any intruding touch, his defenses seemed less intense now. There was a shimmer of warmth radiating form it even – and pain.
When the former Jedi turned to look at him, his eyes were filled with a sadness that seemed to steal all warmth away. Qui-Gon felt his form flicker with a trepidation that felt more physical than it had any right to be.
"It's not that I don't want to talk to you, Master Qui-Gon," Obi-Wan answered after what felt like eternity. His voice was low and mournful.
What had hurt the one being in the universe that Qui-Gon would have given his all for? And how was it possible that he had not felt it before?
Obi-Wan lowered his walls for just a moment, yet the sadness almost chocked Qui-Gon. It only occurred to him then: His former padawan had addressed him as ‘Master’ again. Not once during the last seven months had he called him that way.
“You are hurting very much, my former padawan,” he addressed Obi-Wan as he believed his beloved wished for the distance that the formal address provided.
“I am. Do not look any deeper into it, though. There is no physical source.”
Qui-Gon took a step closer. He needed the proximity to this man like he had needed air when he had been a living being. "What is the source of your suffering then? Please, make me understand, so I may help easing your pain."
Obi-Wan looked away, his gaze fixed on a distant point beyond the cave's entrance. There was an unfamiliar shimmer in his eyes. Qui-Gon had not seen Obi-Wan cry since he had been a fifteen year old boy. The memory made him feel ashamed. He had failed to protect him back then already.
"I spoke with Grandmaster Yoda," Obi-Wan began, when Qui-Gon had already given up hope for an answer. "He told me something that I wasn't prepared to hear.”
“I wish he would not have spoken to you at all then.” It was true and he tried to saturate any syllable with his sincerity.
The green eyes found his own. Obi-Wan but whispered then. ”He told me that you… were in love with me. Since forever."
The silence that followed was thick with emotions. It could have been a wall, so perfectly did it separate them. Qui-Gon bowed his head, breaking their eye contact. "Obi-Wan, I..."
His beloved interrupted, his voice rising with frustration. "I have been in love with you since I was a teenager, Qui-Gon! And you knew that! You knew even before I told you! I was so ashamed and afraid for so long, I thought I’d die during some nights! And all those years I thought it was unrequited longing, a perversion! But now I learn that you felt the same way! You cheated us out of fulfilled love! We had a chance at happiness! And you threw it away! For what? Pride? Vanity? The Code of the Jedi? Why didn’t you tell me? Even if you never wanted to be with me, didn’t I deserve the truth? I always believed truth meant something to you!"
Tears welled up visibly in Obi-Wan's eyes now, and he quickly wiped them away, but not before Qui-Gon saw them. It was punishment. They stabbed his soul. His heart ached more than ever for the man he had trained once and loved in secret ever after. And he had failed him in more than one way obviously, or Obi-Wan would have been able to meditate away all his anger by now.
"Obi-Wan," Qui-Gon said softly, "I could not have told you. As your master and superior, it would have been utterly inappropriate. Our relationship was one of guidance and mentorship. To reveal my feelings would have compromised everything. It would have stood in your way to become the Jedi you now are… and I would have hated myself for that."
Now Obi-Wan's tears broke free, streaming down his cheeks as he cried openly. Had his words hurt his beloved even more? Weren’t they a logical explanation? Weren’t they enough to make him understand why he had done what had needed to be done?
Qui-Gon came closer until there was less than half a step between them. What he would have given to wipe those tears away with his own fingers! He reached out but his hand passed through the beloved body without any contact.
"I know it hurts," Qui-Gon whispered, "and I am so very sorry for the pain I have caused you. But know this, Obi-Wan: my love for you was always pure, always selfless. It was my duty to protect you, to train you, and to prepare you for the challenges you would face. That love, that bond, it was always there, even if it was never spoken out loud. And it shall always be there. If nothing else of me remains one day, it will."
Obi-Wan sobbed, his body shaking with the release of his repressed emotions. "I just... I just wish things had been different."
"If they had been, if we’d been Qui-Gon the librarian and Obi-Wan the farmer, there would have been nothing that could have stood between us. If need be, I would have stolen you away and eloped to wherever you would have wanted to be with me."
There was a last show of tears. The lips that Qui-Gon had wanted to kiss so often parted slightly as to speak words that his beloved had not found yet.
“Nothing,” Qui-Gon repeated in earnest. “Nothing could have come between us. You would have been suffocated by all the love I would have forced upon you.”
“There wouldn’t have been any force needed.”
Ah! There was the smallest of smiles on Obi-Wan’s face. Oh, Force! He was still so beautiful! More so than any sunrise he’d ever seen. This soul shone brighter than a star being born in the skies. Qui-Gon had always been graced by it, long before he had managed to force his ethereal being into a form to be seen and heard by the living again. It had been so much easier for him than Obi-Wan who had survived all those years to be forced into loneliness. Qui-Gon was drowning in a sudden wave of shame and guilt for what he had put his beloved through with his dying wish.
“Please, stop! I can feel your guilt like hands strangling me.”
“Forgive me!”
Obi-Wan shook his head, his eyes sincere and honest. “The time with Anakin was a happy one. Or as happy as it could be considering the circumstances. It was so for many years. I really was… content.”
Another smile appeared on Obi-Wan’s lips and the wish to kiss them was as strong as it had ever been.
Could he achieve that? Train his abilities within the Force to be able to touch gently and caress? What would it take?
It didn’t matter, Qui-Gon concluded. He had eternity to achieve his goal.
“Rest assured that I love you with all my being and shall always do so.”
Obi-Wan’s smile became brighter with these words lowly echoing from the naked walls around them. He truly shone like a sun and he had been his beacon of light for so many years now. Qui-Gon’s heart overflew with emotion and he made sure to guide it through their bond. All shields were down. Obi-Wan lay open to him, all vulnerable and pure and all so beautiful. It could have made Qui-Gon weep, too.
“Will you wait for me?”
“Every day of my life, Master.” Obi-Wan laughed. The old address bubbling from his lips now. “Even though I expect you to come to me every single one of them. Or do you have other business of importance to attend to?”
“I have,” Qui-Gon answered and pushed all of his love and longing into Obi-Wan’s heart to reassure him that he was not only his priority but his reason for existence as “Qui-Gon”. “I will come as often as I can, for as long as I am able to. Although, I cannot say how long it will take me to achieve what I need to achieve or if being with you may hinder my concentration.”
The tea was long forgotten, the water quite possibly too cold by now to enjoy drinking it. Obi-Wan had completely forgotten about it anyway. He was shaking his head again, his forehead showing even more wrinkles as the two suns had already carved into it. “You are still a mystery to me, Qui-Gon Jinn.”
“I will tell you as soon as I can. Please, have trust in me, for I do not wish to be the reason for your disappointment if I fail.”
The smile reappeared, yet weak and somewhat of a lie perhaps. “Just promise me to visit me as often as you feel fit. This place… Well, it tends to be lonely when you are not with me.”
He wanted to apologize again. This time for all the years that Obi-Wan had lost, all the happiness he had had to sacrifice for what Qui-Gon had believed for the greater good of all the universe. It should have been him.
He spoke before Obi-Wan could sense his feelings: “I promise. But know that I am always with you, no matter if you can see or hear me. Look into your soul, and there I shall be.”
“Qui-Gon…”
“I’ll visit you again soon,” he promised and felt an inexplicable amount of hope and enthusiasm rise within him. There was no way that the Force would not guide him to achieve his goal to touch. He had spent fifteen years to create the ethereal form that enabled communication with his beloved one. It had been difficult but manageable. As would the ability to touch be. He was ready to spend the same amount of time squared as long as he could give Obi-Wan but one kiss. “Shine for me.”
Obi-Wan tilted his head but gifted him a real smile now, his eyes twinkling with love. “As you wish, my Master.”
“This address is no longer appropriate,” Qui-Gon countered the smile with his own. “I want to be your “dear”, your ‘beloved’.”
“Return to me quickly then, my beloved.”
It was as sweet as honey and as beautiful as the flowers on Naboo, but eternal in its perfection. He would never tire of bringing this smile back on Obi-Wan’s lips. He felt a happiness wash over him that made him feel dizzy as well as almighty. There was no time to linger in this bliss any longer, though. He needed to meditate and sharpen his exertion of the Force.
He could not wait to show Obi-Wan what he had only been able to tell him about on this fateful day. He would take hold of him more passionately than his former self would have ever allowed himself to and he would kiss Obi-Wan deeply for as long and often as his beloved would desire.
Just wait a little while longer, he begged Obi-Wan without words. Hold out just a little bit longer!

The Call
Or Obi-Wan and Padmé made a mistake
Tags: QuiObi, Anidala, Modern AU
Warnings: suicidal thoughts
Tumblr media
Obi-Wan: Darling, please don’t end the call! I know I’ve fucked up… I know I’ve destroyed the family we’ve built… I’ve got Padmé into trouble, Anakin will hate me forever, and I hurt you so very much. I know I don’t deserve to live… but please… let me hear your voice. I don’t ask for your forgiveness! Scream at me, call me names… I don’t care! Just let me listen to you one last time! And if only for a moment. Please!
Tumblr media
Qui-Gon: Obi-Wan, listen to me carefully! We will talk about this but not through our phones. You will tell me where you are and you will wait for me there until I pick you up. Do you understand what I’m saying? You will wait for me, and then we will talk… And we will get over this together, because nothing in this world will ever make me love you less. So, please, tell me where you are, so I can bring you back home!
