FAQs

What is a bingo?

A bingo is a fandom challenge, in which participants are given a card (either 3x3, 4x4, 5x5 grids) with prompts in each square. The goal is to get a bingo by completing prompts in a line (horizontal, vertical or diagonal) or complete all the prompts for a blackout.

Badges will be awarded to anyone who gets a bingo or fills some specific sets of squares (a square, a line, a whole card etc.).

What is the schedule?

Sign ups open: April 22nd 2023

Sign ups close: May 4th 2023

Cards go out: May 11th 2023

Square swap request deadline: May 25th 2023

Last day to submit fills: December 31st 2023

Badges go out: January 31st 2024

What kinds of prompts will there be?

When you sign up you will be asked what types of prompts you would like to opt-in/out of.

SFW/Gen: general, non-sexual prompts.

NSFW: explicitly sexual, kink, and smut related prompts.

Dark: darker prompts such as noncon, dubcon, Sith!Qui-Gon etc.

The prompts can be interpreted however you see fit—let them inspire you! A fill does not have to follow the theme of the prompt, so have fun with it. Sith!Qui-Gon may have turned to the dark side after Obi-Wan stole his favourite pair of socks, after all.

What are the minimum fill requirements?

Fanfiction: Minimum 500 words, no maximum.

Fanart: Clean lineart minimum.

Poetry: 7 lines minimum.

Gifsets/Moodboard: At least 4 images.

What if I don’t like my card?

We’ve tried to ensure every card has a variety of entries and hope that you enjoy the one we generate for you! You can take advantage of the 5 swaps per card to swap prompts you don’t like or don’t work for you to help get a bingo.

Can I request a second card?

You can ask for a second card after you’ve completed the first, or even a third card if you finish a second, you overachiever! The only thing we ask is that you complete at least one bingo before requesting another card.

I’m not sure I’ll be able to finish my card. Can I sign up for one anyway?

Of course! While this is mainly a challenge to get one or more bingos, or even a blackout, this is meant to be a fun way to inspire you to create more QuiObi content. Even if you think you’ll only fill one prompt, or aren’t sure you’ll be able to fill any, we would love for you to take part anyway!

What ratings are allowed?

Anything from general work to explicit work is welcomed! Please tag, rate, and warn appropriately (see the rules).

What are badges?

Badges will be given in recognition for taking part in the bingo!

You will receive a badge for:

1 square,

A bingo (a vertical, horizontal or diagonal line of squares),

Blackout (all squares completed),

Slash (all of your fills are focused on the romantic relationship between Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan),

Gen (all of your fills are focused on the platonic relationship between Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan),

Non-bingo awards for participation and commenting on fics/other works.

5. Which WIP is first on your list to complete this year? Will you post a snippet?

I owe the remaining chapters of my QuiObi Big Bang for 2023, Notorious and also a fic that was only just revealed, but shh. That was is pretty high up on the list to complete, as I kinda burnt out while writing it but had a little buffer I never got around to posting. So in continuing the tradition from qobb2022, I will be working very hard to finish that one as soon as I can.

whether it will actually be finished first or not—your guess is as good as mine. it's pretty intricate and I just took at least month off for burnout. but! for the moment, I can do better than a snippet, and will be posting a completed chapter. I think. god this headache is abitch

13. Aside from fanfic, are there any other fan works you’d like to try creating? Fanart, or fanvids, gifsets, or podfic? 

hmmmmm.... see, I dunno. maybe manips and moodboards and photosets, but not so much gifsts or fanvids. pod fic - i genuinely don't understand how people read things out loud, my mouth dries 3 minutes in how are y'all doing thissss

QuiObi Apocalypse AU

They were a normal, happy family before it happened. Alpha Qui-Gon and Omega Obi-Wan had been bonded for 10 years and now have 3 young children. With the world in chaos, their family is miles apart and doing everything they can to survive. 

Obi-Wan and the children are on one side of the country bunkered down in hiding. Without his alpha, Obi-Wan drives himself to exhaustion keeping them safe. Qui-Gon is on the other side of country, fighting desperately to get back to his omega and pups. 

They were able to have one brief phone call before the cell towers went out. That was weeks ago. Qui-Gon can only hope his family is still where Obi-Wan told him to come. He doesn’t know that Obi-Wan is injured, or that he’s two months pregnant. 

Can Qui-Gon reach his family in time? Can he keep himself alive long enough to get there? Neither Qui-Gon or Obi-Wan know what they will do once they are reunited, but they know that they have always been stronger together, which is enough hope to keep them going for now.
