Yuna found you near a bucket, sweat stuck to your forehead and puking. Immediately, her rough yet tender hands rubbed up and down your back. You smile tiredly, your nausea from the morning catching up on you– right before you thought it was gone. 

Yuna has been tasked with protecting and taking care of you while Jin is out fulfilling his duties as the Ghost in Izuhara. He was out on business for a week or so, killing Mongols to prevent them from advancing to the mainland. To Jin, the only one skilled and trusted enough to protect his wife, was his dear friend, Yuna. 

“Thank you, Yuna,” you said, in between your labored breaths. The two of you have garnered a close relationship– almost like sisters ever since Jin introduced you to the clever thief. Your gratitude towards her never faltered; with Yuna being the sole reason why Jin was alive to this day. Yuna appreciated your friendship, you radiate kindness and hold yourself with such grace– yet you were playful around those you loved. 

“Of course,” she replies, returning your smile. “Let me take you to bed.” 

She grabs your arm, wrapping it around her shoulder. She carries you to your bedroom, placing you gently on the covers. 

“Will you be alright?” Yuna asks, her eyebrows furrowed in concern. “I will inform Jin on–” 

“It’s quite alright, Yuna,” you cut her off, raising your hand. “I missed my cycle by a couple weeks now, if you understand what I am telling you.” 

Yuna considers your words for a moment, her eyes widening. “You are. . .?” 

“With child, yes,” you reply, almost chuckling. “Only a couple weeks far. Do not worry, I will tell Jin when he gets back.” 

At sunrise, Jin dismounts from Nobu and you are first to greet him. Your smile is infectious, and one can not fail to notice your radiant glow. Thankfully, you are only a month along your pregnancy, no prominent bump appeared through your kimono.

"Jin," you greet him, bowing. "Welcome home."

"Hello, beloved," he replies. Oh, how you missed the sound of his voice. The two of you are not ones to display your affection in the open, even around close friends such as Yuna and especially not Kenji.

Jin intertwines his hand with yours, heading towards your shared bedroom.

"I have missed you," you softly, softly squeezing his hand.

"As have I," he replies, squeezing your hand in return. "It crushed me to not be able to send letters to you."

"All that matters is that you are home, beloved," you say, giving him a soft smile.

Jin merely hums, his eyes glancing down at your lips. Clearly distracted, he continues by caressing your cheek. The air between you is thick, and even after years of being together, Jin still manages to feel breathless and awestruck by you.

But before Jin was about to close the gap between him and his wife, you push your hand against his chest.

"Is something wrong?"

"Of course not, it is just. . ."

You hesitate. You have waited for so long to tell Jin and you do not know if it just a symptom of with your pregnancy, but your eyes start to well up.

Jin panics before softly comforting you. "There, there. . . You know, you can tell me anything, my love."

You nod weakly, sniffling, trying to make out of the words.

"I am . . . with child."

"Oh my dear wife," He wipes the tears off your cheek, the both of you forming equally bright and lovesick smiles. His other hand rests on your stomach, your hand on top of his.

"Kami has blessed us with a child." His forehead rests against yours, both of your eyes in tears. "Thank you, my love."

When he found out you were with child, it's like he's gotten a strong instinct to support you. He's been coming home everyday from his missions with gifts for you and the unborn baby, from a hand crafted child's toy to a hunted deer for dinner!

"Jin.... What is this?" You raised an eyebrow at the sight. A deer mounted on his horse. "Dinner. For you and the little one." He caresses your head, the other hand rubbing against your stomach.

"We can't possibly eat all this before it goes bad." And he replies, "We won't let anyone go hungry. Don't worry." He reassures you before taking the deer down and walking off towards the kitchen where he'll let the servants do the rest of the job.

Right. You do so happen to live in a really privileged and comfortable home. Such perfect conditions to raise a baby. "How thoughtful of you." You say as you follow him through the snow. It looks like you're going to give birth to your baby in the spring, beautiful timing, as Yuriko and Jin says.

You were four months along now, not like you can't handle yourself but Jin begs to differ. He doesn't like you doing anything that he considers 'too dangerous' like doing the laundry or even walking around the streets of Omi village.

Not like you don't do these things against his wishes behind his back though. You do love your walks in the village, but you also do love being pampered by your husband. Oh, he'd cuddle you like a papa bear and shower you with affection. In your last months pregnant, you'd practically run to the door when you hear him come home on his horse but immediately start acting like you were a waddling penguin trying to get to her husband.

"What are you doing up? It's getting hot out, stay in." He ushers you in, brushing the hair out your face that blew when the wind passed by.

And finally... When your baby was about to be born he was so nervous. It was a rough night for the both of you, especially for you of course. But he was pacing around the entire house as you struggled with your contractions. And then came out a healthy, chubby little baby boy.

He was so adorable with his little arm and leg rolls, he was loved by everyone in Omi village. Oh... And your husband just won't leave him alone either. You think that because he's brought him on his horse so much as a baby that that's the reason why your son is so eager to be on one now.

Your husband would wrap your baby to his chest and take him on short rides outside, whispering things to your baby that he won't be able to understand. He'd show your son where he used to spar with his uncle, or where he first met you, telling stories in sweet whispers.

Meanwhile, your son was just sleeping against his chest as he talks to him. Maybe he was more so talking to himself. Jin would also learn to carve toys out of wood for his little boy, which your son absolutely adores. He's definitely spoiled alright.

And in the future when your son gets older, Jin would be teaching him how to hold a sword and fight with it. You actually want him to start learning a little later but they never waited for your approval anyways. Having them sparring and practicing without your approval in mind, you don't say anything because it's definitely funny when they scramble for their words looking for excuses. Like father like son, I suppose!

his nails dug into jin’s shoulders, the sting of it caused a low grunt to leave the samurai’s lips. “kuro… you feel so good.” he said, muffled against boy’s neck that lay beneath him.

jin kept his pace slow and teasing, wanting to make this moment last after he had been gone for a month and a half. their bodies craved each other, craved this. "jin... please, more." kuro said in a needy tone as he held jin close to his body.

Sony did exactly that with Deacon St. John from the game "Days Gone" by replacing his OG actor (Sam Witwer) with a different actor (Sam Heughan) in the upcoming live action adaptation, despite the fact that the character is based on the OG actor's performance and appearance. [X]

So you can understand how this is making me nervous when it comes to GhoTsu. I get casting different actors for other characters if they're going for complete authenticity (i.e. make the og dialogue in Japanese spoken fluently from the right people), but Tsuji should be the exception.

He has the onscreen acting experience under his belt and Japanese speaking lines on lock. Might as well cast him while he's still as young as he's ever been. [X]

And he's been showing promise with the combat stunts as well. [X]

Unlike with The Last of Us, Jin Sakai and Deacon St. John are modeled after their actors' voices AND likeness. They're the poster faces of their brand. To replace them with different faces would only cause confusion and dampen enthusiasm for the projects.

I can speak for many of us when I say that we do not care about which A-list actor is popular enough to boost ticket sales, at least not in this case. Worry about that for something else.

Jin Sakai's role cannot work with anyone else, because anyone else will only come across as an imitation of the real thing. Even if it's a good imitation, it just simply won't hit the same.

As far as I'm aware, there is no other person who can bring that unique aura to the Ghost; the gentleness that comes with the violence, the compassion along with righteous anger, the beacon of hope to his people while simultaneously the embodiment of terror to his enemies.

Grace. Poise. Rage. Vengeance. Sacrifice. Love.

No one else can nail that all at once... except Daisuke Tsuji.

The script and direction on the other hand, we can only hope it will do his character justice.

Shrugging off his armor, Jin slipped next to you. He was tired. He was not sure how much longer he could take this, the weight of everything was starting to drag him down. He knew he could not burden you with his problem's it was bad enough that you stayed by his side through it all.

On the first day of winter, the sun rose and your sweet baby girl, Kiko, came into the world along with it. She made a beautiful entrance even with her deep sobs.

Now, your eleven-month-old daughter clings to the fabric of your kimono as you prepare breakfast. Kiko was always like this; shy and only wanting to cling to her mother or father. You softly hum, a tune Jin once played for you on his flute. As you do so, your daughter performs small bounces with soft gurgles of happiness coursing through her-- as if trying to replicate your humming.

Finished with your preparations, you crouched down at your baby girl, hugging her onto your side.

“You like the song, Kiko?”

You started to kiss her cheeks and rocked her softly, secured in your arms. Kiko simply rests her sweet head on your shoulder, nodding

You turn as you hear the shoji screen slides open, revealing your husband, Jin. He offers the two of you with a gentle smile, grateful for another day seeing his precious girls.

“Good morning, my beloved,’” Jin said, greeting you. He presses a quick kiss to your forehead before pressing doing the same to your daughter.

“Good morning, Jin,” you respond, with a soft smile. Nora squeals at the sight of him, “Papa!” While Kiko is shy amongst others such as Yuna and even others her age, the sight of her father never fails to light her up. It was an adorable site, which made your heart grow with unconditional love for your family-- more than you already have.

"Hello, little bird," he replies, before crouching down alongside you.

As he talks to Kiko gently, you watch the sight of your husband and daughter and you are reminded how he no longer has the faith of Tsushima in his hands. While Jin still performs his duties as Sakai clan leader and as a samurai, he no longer has to take on the role of the Ghost and no Mongols that plague his home. And while stress is no stranger to your husband, this morning (and many mornings like this) is this certain lightness and ease to him you have never seen before. And there is nothing you love more than seeing your husband so full of joy.

“The fight was worth it,” Jin once told you, a couple weeks after Kiko was born. Your bodies entangled and your head resting on his bare chest. “For our home. For us— the three of us,” he said fondly, a smile creeping on his face.

“Would you do it all over again?”

It was terrifying. Getting caught in an ambush while you were out with Jin was not in your plans. You were captured before Jin could even turn to look at you, driven away on the back of a horse. You can't understand a single thing they're saying, but you keep hearing the same thing over and over, "Ghost". Was that what your husband was being called now?

You've been on the move for days ever since you've been captured, riding on a caged carriage behind a horse. Certainly an upgrade from a horse's back. It looks like they want to cover all of their tracks so he can't find you fast enough. Do they want to bring you to Khotun Khan? The thought just gives you goosebumps.

You've heard of all of the stories. Everything he's done. He's already killed more than a hundred samurai on Tsushima island without mercy, what could he do to you who's just the spouse of the ghost?

Your clothes were muddy from how much you've been tossed around on the ground lately, and your stomach was already digesting itself. Finally, they settle you into a new cage. To say it was filthy was an understatement. You don't want to admit it, but you're not used to this sort of life compared to the clean and neat home you worked so hard to keep back at Omi village with Jin.

Well, everything's got to change now, huh? You sat in silence for hours until you heard a familiar language you could finally understand. It was one of the straw hat ronins, oh you've heard of their betrayal to your husband, alright.

"—Seen him myself! He's tracking us down like a wolf to its prey! He's killed at least a few dozen of us already!" A ronin clearly afraid, exclaims to one of his fellow members.

"Oh shut up. You're just feeding into the rumours the peasants have been yammering about. What harm can one man do against an army of us right here?" He's right. It looked like one of the biggest camps you've ever seen so far into your abduction. There were enemies everywhere from top to bottom and archers from miles away watching for flanks.

"I'm serious. I'm sure he's coming for a certain someone." He points to you, to which the other ronin just glares at you. They walk away from your line of sight, continuing their conversation till they were out of earshot.

You could barely think about that right now, you were so hungry. The last thing you ate was a piece of pity bread given by a straw hat ronin and the only drink you'd have was rainwater. They've never beaten on you before but it was cruel enough they didn't bother feeding you anything.

Soon, the moon was in the sky, you could barely see a thing but the torches illuminating the faces of the invaders. Just as you were lost in your thoughts, loud terror screaming could be heard. Before you knew it, a lot of the men started investigating and picking up their sharpened weapons. One of them stood right in front of your door, guarding you.

Next thing you knew, there was so much chaos. Other fellow captured prisoners ran away to safety, screaming and explosions could be heard in all sorts of directions. Could this finally be the time for you to be saved?

"Where is Y/n?" You hear Jin. He sounded so angry and not his usual soft-spoken self. You peek through a hole to try to find him. If you yell, surely they'll finish you off before he gets to you. He's standing in front of the camp leader, in a stand off. "You killed my men. Destroy my territory. For that, you will pay!" The leader is prideful, intimidating yet your spouse shows no fear and draws his blade. They fight for a few moments and before you know it, the leader drops dead on the mud.

The man guarding your cage shudders in fear and opts to run away with the rest of the scared shitless army. Jin sheaths his sword seeing as nobody else dares to stand against him. He was definitely not one to mess with. You take this as an opportunity to call for your husband. "Jin!" You yell, your throat felt like it was being scratched. God, you were so parched.

He immediately looks for the source of your voice, running over to you. He wastes no time in opening your door. "Are you okay? What did they do to you?" He holds your cheeks gently, turning your face in different angles to look for injuries.

"Jin. I'm fine. I missed you so much." You teared up, hugging him. He hugs you back, tightly. Inhaling his scent which smells like blades of grass, you're content. You haven't felt like you were going to die every second you were in this god forsaken camp until this moment with your husband.

"I'm so glad you're here." It was your turn to cup his cheeks now, you pull him into a sweet kiss to which he returns. When you finally pull away you use whatever energy you have left peppering kisses all over his face which made him laugh and turn his face away. Hugging him again one last time again, he pets your hair lovingly.

"I'll get you home, my beloved." He whispers to you softly, tucking a stray hair away from your eyes. His once angry and frustrated voice at the standoff replaced with one of love. Clearly you've been through too much that you uncharacteristically gave him this much affection. You could care less he's killed hundreds just to get to you, you just want to love the hero who's just saved you.

Finally, you were on your way back home with Jin. Your hands were wrapped around his waist and head was pressed against his back as you rode back home. Boy, the thought of eating some rice just makes your mouth water. And of course, finally being home comfortably with your husband is great too.

Plot: Jin’s first love appears with Tenzo for the first time after years of Jin thinking he’s dead.

the waters grew wild as jin’s boat began to fight the current. the samurai ran to the captain the best he could to try and make sure he was okay.

the water became too strong as their boat flipped over and all the passengers were cast out to sea. the last thing jin could remember was calling out for his horse, kage.

~ time skip ~

jin had managed to survive as he washed up on shore. he had some minor injuries and bruises but nothing too severe to stop him. he had to find kage and get into cover. he got away from the eagle after drinking some of her poison and meeting with a raider, tenzo.

the two made their way through the back entrance of the raider’s main hiding location. after the handful of stares that jin had received, he and tenzo had made it to see fune.

“tenzo, you better have a damned good reason to have brought a samurai here.” the woman grunted.

“you told me to go out and find capable fighters. here’s one, without him me and my men wouldn’t have made it back.” tenzo defended.

an intense eye contact was shared between the two before fune spoke. “fine, but one wrong move and it’ll be both your lives.”

“i promise no harm. i simply wish to stop the eagle before she reaches my home, tsushima.” jin interjected.

fune waved her hand in dismissal of his words. “i’ll hold that to you, samurai. anyways, we have bigger issues right now. a mongol ship has been blasting areas close to our home. they’ll discover us sooner or later if we don’t stop them now.”

tenzo spoke quickly with a plan, “i can take a handful of my men and jin to take down the boat.”

“take hanzo with you. i know he’s been just itching to have some mongols meet the end of his blade.” fune chuckled before turning her head slightly and yelling, “hanzo! get your ass up here. you’re going with tenzo and his samurai to take down a mongol ship.”

silence fell for a moment until another figure came up the latter. the figure was wearing a red traveler’s outfit with a black straw hat. mouth and nose covered with a face covering mainly used by thieves.

once the figured made their way over to the three, he looked up to meet jin’s eyes, a shock expression appeared. jin’s eyes matched the look but he said nothing, along with hanzo. it was too risky.

hanzo managed to hide his expression quickly before looking towards fune. “why is there a samurai here?” voice filled with venom, making sure to play his act more.

“the samurai claims that he’s here to stop the eagle. we’re believing him for now as we could use his skill. anyways, that’s not the most important part.” fune responded.

twenty minutes pasted as the four all came up with a solid plan and all going their separate way. jin quickly made his way around the little village in search of hanzo. he had to know if it was truly him.

hanzo was making sure to hide in the shadows away from jin until he got a bit closer to his area. once he could pull jin in without anyone noticing, he did.

jin was met with a tight hug from hanzo once the two were hidden away. jin was confused for a moment before hugging back.

when the two pulled away, jin was first to speak, “Maisaki, is it really you?” hanzo physically cringed at the use of his old name. trying his best to forget that part of himself.

“yes jin… but do you remember what i told you about me? how i didn’t feel like maisaki or really like a girl?” hanzo asked calmly. his hands still on jin’s torso as he looked up at the samurai.

jin broke eye contact as he thought for a moment before turning back to meet hanzo’s gaze. “i apologize, i did forget until just now. forgive me, hanzo. which may i add, suits you well.”

hanzo blushed at his words and quickly looked away to hide it. jin and hanzo were each other’s first ever loves. neither of them knew what to do in that situation so they remained very close friends. of course, their friendship was hidden from everyone because of jin’s father. hanzo would’ve been disowned if anyone had found out about his friendship with the butcher of iki’s son.

“what are you doing here, really? i thought you were dead after what happened at kamono.” hanzo asked as the two left the shadows together once they noticed everyone not looking at their general direction. they made sure to stay a good distance away as they kept their conversation to a hush.

“i was fixed up by a woman named yuna. she helped me along with a few other friends of mine to save lord shimura from khun. i thought i died on that beach too, but without her i would have.” jin paused for a moment before responding to the first question asked. “i meant what i said to fune about the eagle. some of her men ended up on tsushima and causing madness amongst my people. i came to put a stop to it. the normal mongols are enough of a threat.”

the pair grew silent as hanzo took in jin’s words. they had just reached the top of the village and mounted their horses. jin was the first to break the silence.

“what about you? i thought you had died too after my father…” jin trailed off.

hanzo was silent for a moment before responding. “you’re father slaughter half of my village, including my parents. that part i didn’t mind as much as they were cruel people anyways. but some of the other kids that lost their parents didn’t know how to fend for themselves so i tried my best to get them to where i live now. i couldn’t come see you after i had heard about your father. it was too risky and the other kids needed my guidance.”

hanzo was raised as a thief and became extremely good with daggers and a bow. if hanzo didn’t wanna be seen, you would not see him. that’s the one good thing that he got from his parents. jin knew this and he didn’t hold it against the boy. his feelings for hanzo still grew rapidly.

the night grew darker and the pair came across an abandoned house. the house looked raided a bit destroyed, probably from the mongol’s doing. other than that, it would hold up for the night.

“shall me? like old times?” hanzo smiled while getting off his horse. he gave his jet black horse a few pets and a treat before heading inside. jin watched hanzo intently, unconsciously licking his lips.

a memory of the two sharing their first kiss under some cherry blossom trees popped up in his head. he smiled fondly at the sweet kiss. they had to be around the age of 16 when jin had brought hanzo over to see his father’s fort while everyone was away.

they made it to the training area where a beautiful cherry blossom tree was held. there jin had managed to gather enough courage to pin hanzo to the tree and kiss him softly. the kiss turned slightly heated as hanzo’s hands grasped more on jin’s hair and pulled jin’s body closer to him.

jin shook his head to pull himself from the memory, his head tingling slightly from the phantom feeling of his hair being tugged on. it was enough to feel something he hasn’t felt in a long time, lust.

“jin! you coming?” hanzo’s head popped out from the window to check in on the samurai.

“yes, sorry. i was just thinking about tomorrow.” jin lied as he made his way inside. hanzo had changed from his traveler’s attire to just a blue kamono, the top of his chest exposed but the rest was hidden by some bandages wrapped around his mid section.

“what are those bandages?” jin asked slightly concerned. hanzo looked down to see his bindings being slightly exposed, he quickly covered it the best he could with his kamono.

“it’s not a wound so don’t worry. it just some bindings to hide my…” hanzo trailed off, not comfortable saying the rest. jin understood and apologized for his intrusion.

“it’s alright. you haven’t seen me in awhile and i’m probably the first person you ever met that is this way.” hanzo smiled sweetly.

jin returned the smile, “you are but i’ll always respect you. you know that.” jin walked closer towards hanzo. hanzo blushed once more at his words while also backing away slightly, well, until his back hit the wall.

“jin?” hanzo’s breath staggered slightly. “what are you doing?”

“finishing what we started under those cherry blossoms. if that’s alright with you?” jin replied, voice dropping lower as his hands came on each side of hanzo’s head.

the pair stayed in that position while jin waited for something to confirm that hanzo wanted this.

“my lord…” hanzo breathed out before crashing his lips into jin’s big ones. jin felt a fire build up in him upon hearing those words from hanzo. he never thought those every day words could affective him so much.

hanzo’s hands traveled up to feel jin’s chest, pulling his shirt down off his shoulders, feeling the muscles under. jin grunted from the feeling of hanzo’s fingers against his skin. everything in him was burning with desire and want. something he’s only ever experienced with hanzo.

hanzo soon removed jin’s shirt completely which led him to pulling away and admiring jin’s chest and toned stomach. he didn’t have fully defined abs but the sight itself was still enough to make hanzo’s core warm up even more.

“mind if i?” jin’s face was now kissing along hanzo’s neck and collar bone as he moved to place his hands to pull off the kamono.

“please, just not the bindings.” hanzo consented. jin respected his wishes with the bindings and removed only his kamono, leaving hanzo fully exposed.

jin swallowed hard while he took in the sight, hanzo was truly more beautiful than he could have ever imagined. hanzo noticed his stare and got extremely self conscious.

the thief moved to cover what he could of his body but that was stopped by the samurai before him. “don’t hide from me, you’re more handsome that i would have ever imagined.” jin cupped hanzo’s face with one hand while the other moved to wrap around his waist.

jin managed to lift hanzo with one arm and guided him onto the makeshift bed that hanzo had made. hanzo’s hands moved to undo jin’s hair and run his fingers through the long strands.

“fuck, my lord.” hanzo moaned out as jin’s lips trailed down hanzo’s torso and met his core. jin moved hanzo’s thighs onto his shoulders before leaning in and teasing him slightly with his tongue.

hanzo whimpered lightly at this and moved his hips to gain some relief. “jin, please. don’t tease me, i’ve waited years for you.” hanzo begged. hearing his cries, jin gave in and moved his tongue magic on hanzo’s clit while two fingers made their way to his entrance.

hanzo’s fingers grasped tightly onto jin’s hair as he tried to push jin closer to him, feeling like he was on the top of the world right now. jim’s fingers and tongue were like his sword arm, undefeated. hanzo knew jin would be good in bed, but he didn’t think he was this good.

hanzo blushed deeply at this, “i’m sorry my lord, your skill is just unmatched. both in fighting and in bed.”

the two chuckled at the comment before getting comfortable together and falling asleep soundly.
