Jikook Week 7 Complete ✔️(23-30/01/2024)

Their seventh week in the military is now complete. It's time to celebrate this milestone with a look back at this week in 2019.

JK was still making covers of songs and on 23/01 he released Ending Scene by IU on Sound Cloud.

Jimin responded with "Cover fairy JK😁"......

followed by "Met in Malta"

Nostalgia for the Malta trip in 2018 perhaps "Together bam!"

On the 29th January, Run BTS Episode 61, the first sauna episode, came out. Jin, Suga and Jimin were on one team and RM, Tae, J-Hope and Jungkook were on the other.

In the first game, Jimin and Jungkook, playing against each other, get exactly the same score on the finger flick machine and immediately reference Serendipity, " You are I, I am you"

The second round was a word game which, I have to say, I don't really understand, even after watching the show a few times. Jin and RM won the first and second rounds in under a minute but Jimin's time in the sauna extended over three rounds. Jungkook was his second opponent. They were working together to get the answer but JK got there first and was happy to escape to the cool and snacks.

Afterwards though he was little remorseful having left Jimin to battle it out a third time and was cheerleading from outside the sauna.

The episode ends there, but I sneaked a peak at Run BTS 62 and I am happy to say Jimin makes it out next round.

Regarding your post on the 2021 Bday live, I have a headcannon for the bit where Hobi questions JM being in JKs studio. Just a theory, nothing factual but it makes sense of the moment for me:

Hobi's kind of comment likely would have been made in reaction. To previous conversations and not prompted out of nothing. It could be as simple as JK one day kicking everyone out of his studio because they wouldn't leave him alone. Or him retreating there when we wanted to get away from people. Commenting on JM being there could be highlighting that JM is the exception to JKs isolation space.

Or it could even be something to do with logistics at HYBE. Do all of the members have studios? We know the rapline do and JK but have we ever heard about Jin, V or JM having one? Maybe the business standard is like a salon and the artist needs to negotiate for their own space. If so, maybe the others specifically didn't want to make the investment since they weren't really involved in the production aspects back then. Didn't the members also ask JM where he was working when he mentioned FACE during the Festa dinner? I don't think that question would have been asked if he had a dedicated studio.

Anyway, all theories but I don't think we'll ever actually know why there was such a mood in that live. And honestly, I love that for them. They should be able to have some mysteries from us but boy does it make me curious!

That's a very interesting headcannon actually!

What I love most about jkk's bond is that I am completely content with not knowing the full picture. What interests me the most about those two is the ever-present air of ambiguity surrounding their dynamic. It's that constant feeling of 'wait are they like....being for real?' that gives me tornadoes of butterflies.

At that time, out of the vocal line, only jk had mentioned having his own studio space. Recently, in the FACE documentary, jm was mostly working at p-dogg's house or, in the other producers' studios at Hybe. This is just my own observation, but I think jm thrives creatively when he makes music as part of a team. Going back to the FACE documentary, he would often just hum a melody and the producers would immediately pick up on it and start suggesting things.

To the point of jm specifically using jk's studio, I think the staff probably just picked an empty studio space to set up in. Jk obviously was chill with it because he wasn't surprised at all that jm was in there.

But, agreeing with your point, Hobi's oh-so-pointed tone during that whole conversation was definitely not one of surprise. To me, it was coming off as an 'oh, of course you'd use jk's space of all spaces'.

Them continuing to justify it with 'its public space' makes the conversation even funnier because, so what if he's in jk's studio?😭. I would not have batted an eye at the members being in each other's studio spaces (except maybe yoongi cause that man's studio is a vault). They're bandmates and besties at the end of the day but, yea Hobi's insistent teasing is very, very interesting :)))

Like do they like to lead the convo, do they like to listen to the other people, do they talk too much, too little, are they awkward about it? It's just very interesting to me, bcs I think that kinda thing really does instantly show you if you're going to be compatible with a person(as a friend or more etc.) Cause I talk a lot a lot, and I think it's difficult to get along w people who are untalkative but also people who talk an equal amnt if not more djkfkglg.

Mostly drawing! I draw both F1 fanart(pretty much all selfmade AUs tho) and ocs. I like writing lore and worldbuilding and meta, but not really writing itself. I like reading fic and watching movies as well. And I think one of the main things I do these days tbh is read about history and keep up with politics. I get more and more involved with it as the days go by, but unlike drawing, I don't really have an outlet for it sigh sigh. So that's why a lot of AUs involve history and random other things, bcs its fun to involve my interests with each other!

Yes I do! Two cats and two dogs. The cats are named Jin and Frank. Jin is basically me in cat form, he's so anxious 😭 and Frank is like my brother, he's such a little bastard who loves to hiss all the time. My dogs are named Maisie and Ruby. Maisie is a menace to society, but she is also the most beautiful dog ever, so I forgive her. Her name makes me laugh bcs she's named after this book character, Maisie Dobbs right? Politics >:) But I'm pretty interested in philosophy as well rn. Unfortunately my love for foreign languages has been slipping in the semester or so, bcs my professors on that side kinda suck. So I've been putting more energy into my other major, and now all I can talk about is history, politics and philosophy, etc etc. It's just a lot of fun and very interesting to me!

Dream job?

Man, sometimes I wish I could just be a student forever, I just want to keep learning all about the world and other things. But I'd like a job that's not too static, something that pushes me out into the world a bit, maybe smth in the government or like a non-profit idk yet!
