Kk, so…why do people hate Sharon? And why do Sharon folks hate Peggy? That’s literally all I see in the Sharon tag. Also, a friend told me Hayley Atwell is not a great person?? I just don’t get it, what happened and what did everybody do? Only been in the fandom since endgame, so I’m sure I missed something and you seem like you’ve been a here a while? (And actually, after thinking about it, you may not want to rehash whatever it is, so feel free to skip this). They’re just…literally great aunt and niece and I don’t get why people are at each other’s throats (on both ends, unfortunately…)

So, in advance: I apologize if my response is butchered or not as articulated as any of my peers could be.

Why do people hate Sharon?

I can’t speak for them. I honestly don’t know why. One guess is that lots of folks jumped on the hate train is when they thought that Bucky and Sharon would get together when there was absolutely nothing that even remotely hinted that. Beyond that, I can’t tell you because I have no idea. I know some dislike her because of her lack of screentime has made her rather bland and there’s not much to cling onto and her actions in TFAWS have been rather confusing.

Sharon folks hate Peggy?

From what all I know - ship reasons. Mostly it’s comic stans who dislike Peggy because in the comics Sharon and Steve are together. Most from what I’ve seen, they dislike Peggy because she ‘stole all of Sharon’s achievements/characteristics’ when Peggy literally has done absolutely nothing but exist in MCU.

Hayley Atwell hate.

It all started with a tumblr post that made up and exaggerated things about Hayley, no on fact checked it and it spiraled out of there with things and statements taken 100% out of context and websites like comicsbook and others like it just drive that hatred up. Another reason folks want to hate on Hayley is simply for ship reasons and how Endgame played out, so they try to justify their hate by creating lies about Hayley and/or Peggy so they can make themselves feel better.

She, as far as I know where there is legit proof, has done nothing wrong that deserves this level of hatred. People just want their own faves to have the screentime and get off on hating on other people’s faves. Because their first response to a character they hate is to start attacking on other’s happiness means they’re a bunch of miserable sacks.

Things in general are not great rn, tbh. I've been out of work for 2 months, have about $15 to my name (my parents are giving me money tomorrow but I don't have income at all otherwise), and on Saturday my 15-year-old moved ~1000 miles away to live with their dad. But hearing from you and @jimothybarnes in the ask box recently, and talking to @feedingonthegoore and @the-moon-in-the-gutter every day, keeps my despair manageable, along with all the other sillies and ghesties in my phone. So I try not to complain 🫂

i've actually had a genuinely great weekend :0 i had a competition on saturday where i got to watch the team of kids i'd been mentoring compete and even though they didn't win i'm so proud of them 🥺 then today to got to head to The Big City and it went much better than i was expecting so that made me smile :3 THIS ASK ALSO MADE ME SMILE SO MUCH THANK YOU JIMOTHY YOU'RE WONDERFUL <3

Watching Hayley in Heartstopper and my Steggy brain cannot stop thinking about Peggy with Steve and hers son (Nick). Especially when he wore the Captain America costume

Steve and Peggy naming their son Nick (Maybe after Fury but no one will know. Peggy will connect the dots when she needs Fury much later in the future)

Nick who wants nothing more then to be like his 'super brave and awesome daddy' when he's growing up. There's a photo album somewhere in the Carter-Rogers household that has photos of Nick's Halloweens where he dressed up every single on as Captain America.

All handmade outfits from Ana herself (don't worry, Ana loved to make them and loved Nick's assistance and company). Mr. Jarvis designed the 'shield' himself and Nick helped paint it.

That's why there's a handprint in the middle of the Shield, just over the wonky star.

Steve finds this adorable and it becomes a tradition for the three of them to dress as Cap for every Halloween.

It's a tradition that is carried on through their grandchildren, with the same homemade outfits that had been so much life and love and cared for just as every momeno from their time as parents.

How do you like your chips?

very good question jim, I grew up in a seaside town so i am the expert on chips. i also worked in a fish and chip shop for like 1.5 years (the horrors i saw, no george i don't forgive you for blaming me for the Vinegar Incident)

if you're going to a chippy then it's salt and vinegar (must be swimming in vinegar) and you eat it with a wooden fork, NO SAUCES! if you feel like pushing the boat out, eat it on the sea wall, freezing your balls off as a seagull tries to bite your head off and/or shits on you :)

if I'm just at home then I love oven chips, specifically curly fries or peri peri fries (thanks sainsburys for fuelling my chip obsession!)

not a big fan of cheesy chips they're just a bit too greasy taste-wise :(

Yes, absolutely! There's a completely ludicrous F.allout 4 AU that I maintain makes a lot of sense: it's still Boston, there's still skullduggery, they're still accidentally-on-purpose ruining each other's lives. There's just ... vastly more lasers and radiation damage and mid-century pop than there is in the original version.

Under the cut, because. well. I want to maintain a modicum of decorum on this blog.

(The cliff notes version of FO4 is. uh. Well. Imagine a world where post WWII western powers went all in on nuclear power, and then that October 23rd 2077 the world ended when the US and China blasted each other and everyone else off the face of the earth in a single day of nuclear war. With me? okay. Boston, 2287: ambient radiation is down, the Minutemen are trying to come back from the brink of organizational extinction after the Quincy Massacre, a mysterious organization called the Institute is kidnapping Commonwealth residents and replacing them with synths (functionally, lab-grown humans, many of whom don't actually know they're synths) to an unknown purpose, a similarly secretive organization called the Railroad is breaking synths out of their captivity within the Institute, and the B.rotherhood of Steel (a quasi-hereditary (except when not) military organization descended from a rogue Army unit (it's a long story) that believes that all advanced technology is too dangerous for civilians to control and that they must, therefore, take control of it for the common good) has rocked up to Boston in a giant metal zeppelin named for Arthurian legend. I mention this because B.oS ranks, too, take their cues from Arthurian lore and chivalric orders. They tend to think that anyone or anything that's not human-born human is inherently dangerous and tend to shoot first and ask questions later.)

Nellie's still a widow, still has two kids and a total unwillingness to look her bereavement in the eye and make peace with it ... she just also has a two-headed cow named Aunt Abigail, a mostly-two-hundred year old fishing boat that's held together with duct tape and goodwill towards man, a mutually beneficial scavenging-for-repairs relationship with the robot crew of USS Constitution, and a new-to-her solar panel array which is promptly stolen requisitioned by the new-in-town B.oS. So begins her mutually antagonistic relationship with the asshole tin-can Paladin Norrington, which is not improved by the B.oS's (non-canonical) attempts to confiscate the moonshot rockets from the Constitution's crew, and the deteriorating relationship between the Brotherhood and the Commonwealth on the whole.

I have written a snippet here and there, but here's the longest, mostly coherent bit:

The next time  Paladin Norrington saw Elinor Treat was at Fort Independence, sitting against the massive stone walls with a minuteman's laser across her knees and her usual cap drawn down over her eyes. Training day, the General (another short, tired woman) had said, and the exhausted residents strewn about the courtyard certainly seemed to back that up. "Elinor," he said, a little uncertainly, and when she did not reply, he called her name again. "Oh, it's you," she said, cracking an eye. "I didn't recognize your voice without your helmet. Come to pay me, have you?" "No," he said, startled. "Disappointing." She closed her eyes again, looking like she'd fall asleep in a moment. Feeling like an idiot, he said he wasn't expecting to see her here, so he had nothing to pay her with. Elinor snorted, accidentally whacking herself in the face with the barrel of her gun, before coming sighing and grumbling to her feet. It wasn't an impressive sight, but she managed to convey a kind of understated menace, even when she had to crane her neck a bit to glare.

I will furthermore add my tags from one of those "the last character you wrote for in the last video game you played: how are they doing?" - D.anse is the in-game B.oS companion and, slight spoilers, his dogmatic adherence to protocol does not save him:
