the thinggggg the thing about kira and jadzia is that. jadzia is so so so full of joy and the measured, steady, unshakeable optimism of someone much older than she is. but she wasn't always like that, she was a lonely, anxious, nerdy kid who "grew up" 300 years in the span of a single medical/spiritual operation. and a big part of that experience was the dedicated training she got towards knowing herself, knowing her needs and desires and how to meet them, so that she wouldn't get drowned out by the rest of dax. right

and she comes to ds9 and she meets kira, a lonely, anxious fighter who was an adult by the time she was 10, who never had the opportunity to know more about herself than what was strictly necessary--that she is strong, that she makes a good leader, that she can do anything she sets her mind to. but she never figured out what she might like to set her mind to, because freedom was the only thing it was possible to want.

and jadzia sees her old self in kira's face, in the bowstring-tight lines of her, and jadzia takes her by those aching shoulders and says Hey. do you want to know yourself? do you want to know what joy is? do you want to play?

Kk, so…why do people hate Sharon? And why do Sharon folks hate Peggy? That’s literally all I see in the Sharon tag. Also, a friend told me Hayley Atwell is not a great person?? I just don’t get it, what happened and what did everybody do? Only been in the fandom since endgame, so I’m sure I missed something and you seem like you’ve been a here a while? (And actually, after thinking about it, you may not want to rehash whatever it is, so feel free to skip this). They’re just…literally great aunt and niece and I don’t get why people are at each other’s throats (on both ends, unfortunately…)

Why do people hate Sharon?

I can’t speak for them. I honestly don’t know why. One guess is that lots of folks jumped on the hate train is when they thought that Bucky and Sharon would get together when there was absolutely nothing that even remotely hinted that. Beyond that, I can’t tell you because I have no idea. I know some dislike her because of her lack of screentime has made her rather bland and there’s not much to cling onto and her actions in TFAWS have been rather confusing.

Sharon folks hate Peggy?

From what all I know - ship reasons. Mostly it’s comic stans who dislike Peggy because in the comics Sharon and Steve are together. Most from what I’ve seen, they dislike Peggy because she ‘stole all of Sharon’s achievements/characteristics’ when Peggy literally has done absolutely nothing but exist in MCU.

Hayley Atwell hate.

It all started with a tumblr post that made up and exaggerated things about Hayley, no on fact checked it and it spiraled out of there with things and statements taken 100% out of context and websites like comicsbook and others like it just drive that hatred up. Another reason folks want to hate on Hayley is simply for ship reasons and how Endgame played out, so they try to justify their hate by creating lies about Hayley and/or Peggy so they can make themselves feel better.

She, as far as I know where there is legit proof, has done nothing wrong that deserves this level of hatred. People just want their own faves to have the screentime and get off on hating on other people’s faves. Because their first response to a character they hate is to start attacking on other’s happiness means they’re a bunch of miserable sacks.

I don't tend to cook much, except at work when I have to. But one thing I used to do fairly often was take boxed mac & cheese and add to it, like tuna and peas for a quick n dirty tuna casserole vibe, or chicken and broccoli, or ground beef and hamburger flavoring for mac n cheeseburger

Watching Hayley in Heartstopper and my Steggy brain cannot stop thinking about Peggy with Steve and hers son (Nick). Especially when he wore the Captain America costume

Steve and Peggy naming their son Nick (Maybe after Fury but no one will know. Peggy will connect the dots when she needs Fury much later in the future)

Nick who wants nothing more then to be like his 'super brave and awesome daddy' when he's growing up. There's a photo album somewhere in the Carter-Rogers household that has photos of Nick's Halloweens where he dressed up every single on as Captain America.

All handmade outfits from Ana herself (don't worry, Ana loved to make them and loved Nick's assistance and company). Mr. Jarvis designed the 'shield' himself and Nick helped paint it.

That's why there's a handprint in the middle of the Shield, just over the wonky star.

Steve finds this adorable and it becomes a tradition for the three of them to dress as Cap for every Halloween.

It's a tradition that is carried on through their grandchildren, with the same homemade outfits that had been so much life and love and cared for just as every momeno from their time as parents.

i've actually had a genuinely great weekend :0 i had a competition on saturday where i got to watch the team of kids i'd been mentoring compete and even though they didn't win i'm so proud of them 🥺 then today to got to head to The Big City and it went much better than i was expecting so that made me smile :3 THIS ASK ALSO MADE ME SMILE SO MUCH THANK YOU JIMOTHY YOU'RE WONDERFUL <3

Things in general are not great rn, tbh. I've been out of work for 2 months, have about $15 to my name (my parents are giving me money tomorrow but I don't have income at all otherwise), and on Saturday my 15-year-old moved ~1000 miles away to live with their dad. But hearing from you and @jimothybarnes in the ask box recently, and talking to @feedingonthegoore and @the-moon-in-the-gutter every day, keeps my despair manageable, along with all the other sillies and ghesties in my phone. So I try not to complain 🫂
