Jimin gives us this gift in his own handwriting.
Tumblr media
The gravity of this is huge.
"When it rains, I'll think of the time we sang under the rain. When it snows, I'll think of you smiling for me because you know I like the snow."
Who did he run to in the rain?!
JUNGKOOK
Who brings him chunks of snow?!
JUNGKOOK

"I know that if I cry, you'll be sad, so I wont. So don't you cry either."
Who else, like Jimin, lets his tears flow when he is emotional?
JUNGKOOK
Tumblr media
Do you see what is coming?
He was writing this in the lead up to their departure for military service.
You know what this album will be, right?
He's handing over his softly beating heart, into our care, and saying,
"please don't crush this, it's fragile."

The Untold Truth of "Letter"
Back in 2021, 2022, or even early 2023, if someone had told me about the possibility of JK having vocal credits in Jimin's solo album, I would have called it wishful thinking at best. But it happened, and we got the song "Letter" (AKA Dear Army) as a hidden track in Jimin's first solo album, FACE, with back vocals by JK, and his name written invisibly in the album book.
Tumblr media
The perfectly matching vocals of Jikook, with the heartfelt lyrics and soft instruments, undoubtedly made one of the most beautiful songs of the year, which could break many records for Jimin and his album if it was released in the streaming and buying services. The release of Letter as a hidden track in Jimin's solo album raised many questions and debates among Jikookers, and as someone who barely scrolls in the Tumblr app, I know I'm a bit late for the party, but I may or may not have some notes to add to the already made discussions. FYI, these are my analytic views and speculations, I am fully aware that this song has been named "Dear Army", and Jimin called it a "Fan song" on different occasions. So, I do not intend to ignore that and diminish Jimin's expression of love for his fans.
What's a Hidden Track?
Before getting into "Letter", we need to understand what a hidden track is. Well, the definition is pretty clear; When a song is not listed in the official track-list of a music album, but it exists in (some versions of) the physical printed CD, cassette, or LP, it's called a "hidden track".
Hidden Tracks of BTS
There are several techniques and reasons to "hide" a track in an album, but in the case of BTS discography, the hidden tracks exist for a specific reason, and I'm going to explain it with the only examples we have. The debut album (2013) and Love Yourself: Her (2017), are the only BTS albums including hidden tracks, and if we ignore the skits in each album, "Path" and "Sea" are the only hidden songs BTS ever released. So, these two songs must have something(s) in common and different from the other BTS tracks that caused them to end up as a hidden track. To find that common factor, we need to check their lyrics first:
Path
[Intro: RM] Yeah, wassup? You know, time flows like stars (Check it, check, check, check, check it out) [Verse 1: RM] I started from imitating Eminem, Garion, Epik High To writing my own raps Now I see that I’m already at Hongdae My lyrics back then were all (****) Bossy But we dunno, we dunno When I dreamed without anyone to stop me Reality tied me down and trapped me inside Oh, my youth trapped me My hot heart lost to my cold mind (Damn) As I blindly told myself my decision was right I don’t know whether it’s an angel or a devil, but it says to me "Do you really have any plans to rap properly?" (Yes or no?) I didn’t have more time to hesitate and didn’t want to be stupid So I came here and three years passed by Some say art is long, life is short But for now, art is life Life is sports, just do it, uh [Chorus] If I had chosen a different path, would have I been any different? If I stopped and looked back (Oh hey ya, hey ya) What will I see at the end of this road? Where you should’ve been standing? (Oh hey ya, hey ya) [Verse 2: Suga, Suga & Jungkook] A long time passed and by 2013, I was a trainee for three years I was a high school student who grew overnight (I became a child) White hair grew from my desires and one by one my many friends (Parted ways with me) I spent my time in Seoul alone without a family (That was my third spring) I thought my worries would disappear with my debut ahead of me I closed my eyes to the present that had nothing to change But the reality was different, even as my family and friends tried to stop me I walked into the tunnels that shed no light on my own I thought I would be alone (Why?) As it turns out, there weren’t seven bare feet but we were wearing the shoe named Bangtan We’ll have to go forward, take one more step, become newer And that’s how I spent my fourth spring in Seoul (Whoa) [Chorus] If I had chosen a different path, would have I been any different? (Hey) If I stopped and looked back (Hey) Oh hey ya, hey ya What will I see at the end of this road? Where you should’ve been standing? (Oh hey ya, hey ya) [Verse 3: J-Hope] 2010, the year I walked towards Seoul! I just loved to dance, and now I’m standing on top of the stage Until then, I overcame many pains and scars to prepare myself I survived with my belief to bend, not break, and ran for three years Let the stars inside my heart shine! Now shine on me differently Write “Bangtan” on the paper world I walk my future with more lights on Give a smile to that far future (Ha, ha)
As you can see, the lyrics are simple and self-explanatory, so I guess we don't need any lyrics analysis, and the description section of the Genius translation I used here, says it all:
“길 (Road/Path) follows the member’s decisions to become idols in the Korean music industry. They recall their different upbringings from listening to hip hop in school to the hard years of being trainees under BigHit Entertainment. BTS pose the questions of how their lives would be different if they made a different decision, and they ask themselves what the future entails. A very introspective track about their career for a debut album, BTS display their thought processes as they enter the music scene.”
Sea
[Intro: Jungkook] Oh, ah, yeah [Verse 1: Rap Monster] I just started walking and ended up at the sea I'm looking at the coast from here There's endless sand and the rough wind I'm still looking at a desert I wanted to have the sea so I swallowed you up But I'm even thirstier than before Is what I know really the ocean? Or a blue desert? [Refrain: J-Hope] I don't know, I don't know If I'm feeling the waves right now, yeah I don't know, I don't know If I'm being chased by the sand wind, yeah I don't know, I don't know Is this the sea or the desert? Is this hope or despair? Is this real or fake? Shit [Pre-Chorus: J-Hope] I know, I know, my hardship right now I know, I know, I'll overcome I know, I know, open me up It's the place I can rely on Think positive, I'm swallowing my dry spit Even if I'm nervous, even if I'm in a desert I'm in the beautiful Namib Desert [Chorus: Jimin, Jin] Where there is hope, there is always trial (4) [Hook: V, Jungkook] Where there is hope You know, you know You know, yeah yeah (2) [Verse 2: Suga] I thought this was the ocean but it's a desert A medium-sized, ordinary idol was my second name Countless people get cut from broadcast But someone's empty spot is our dream They say some of these kids can't make it cuz their agency is too small I know, I know, I know too Times when the seven of us had to sleep in one room With foolish hope that tomorrow will be different before we fell asleep We saw the mirage in the desert but we couldn't grasp it Praying that we'll remain in this desert till the end Praying that this isn't truly our reality [Verse 3: Suga] In the end, we reached the mirage and it became our reality The scary desert became the ocean with our blood, sweat and tears But why is there this fear in between the happiness? Because we know too well that this place is really a desert [Refrain 2: Suga] I don't wanna cry I don't wanna rest No, who cares if we rest a little? No no no I don't wanna lose It's always a desert I told you everything Then I'll just be more depressed [Chorus: Jungkook, V] Where there is hope, there is always trial (2) [Hook: Jimin, Jin] Where there is hope You know, you know You know, yeah yeah (2) [Bridge: Rap Monster] Ocean, desert, the world Everything, the same thing Different name I see ocean, l see desert I see the world Everything's, the same thing With a different name It's life again [Hook: V, Jungkook] Where there is hope You know you know you know yeah (2) [Chorus] Where there is hope, there is always trial
Compared to “Path”, we have more innuendos and metaphors in “Sea” because of Namjoon’s lyricism (it was supposed to be in his mixtape at first), but as the description says:
"It discusses the hardships BTS has experienced since debut, particularly struggling to compete with groups from other, larger agencies. In this song, BTS reflects on these hardships, fearing that their global fame and success could leave as suddenly as it arrived."
Common Denominator
These two lyrics have one big thing in common, and it's the topic they are discussing. They talk about the members' struggles, fears, hopes, and dreams career-wise. I was thinking maybe these issues are something they can only share with their longtime fans, not the general public, therefore, they decided to release them as hidden tracks in the physical album for their real fans who buy them, something like the difference between Weverse and Instagram, I guess? Then I realized that’s something Namjoon has mentioned himself to Billboard Magazine, in LYS: Her interview:
And if fans are so lucky to own the physical album, they’ll hear two hidden tracks at the very. Why keep them secretive?
"I think they’re hidden because you have to be a real fan of BTS to understand them. Otherwise, you won’t. Otherwise, you’d like to be, “Why are they feeling so confused about things? They’re good?!? They’re No. 1 somewhere, they have so much stuff, why are they worried?” People always talk about that. But if you are a true fan of BTS and you buy the album and you listen to the hidden track — if you are an Army and we spent time together from 2013, 2014 — they could understand. It’s kind of more special, more closer, to our true hearts"
What about "Letter"?
In conclusion, hidden tracks for BTS, are something between them and their real fans who know about the path they have wended, therefore they can open up to them through lyrics and talk about their fears and struggles and ambitions without being judged or misunderstood. Also, we have to debunk some of the misconceptions going around (especially after the release of FACE) about hidden tracks. For example, some claimed that Letter is made for fans because hidden tracks are always supposed to be “gifts” for fans. This claim obviously can’t be true when you are able to listen to a hidden track legally, only by purchasing the physical album. Gifts are supposed to be free of charge, like Promise, Still with You, Christmas Love, My You, and so on.
Then what about “Letter”? Why this song is a hidden track in Jimin’s first solo album? Did Jimin want to say something by hiding this track in FACE? To answer this questions, we need to pay attention to the lyrics and how the song was made:
[Verse 1] What should I say? And how should I convey it? I'm really not getting my words right I know it sounds so clichéd So that it's not taken lightly Let me say it to you properly [Chorus] I say oh-oh, I hope you can be happier You, who stretched your hand out to me whenever I fell I say oh-oh, I'll hold it now (I'll hold it) So when you feel like crying, you won’t fall [Verse 2] After all this time has passed Will we still be the same? Just like we were when we first met, hmm-mmm If we are together, even the desert could turn to a sеa Just like how we were then, oh-hoo-ooh [Chorus] I say oh-oh, I really hope that it’ll last forever You, who felt like a warm spring to me in a cold winter I say oh-oh, I'll always cherish it All those moments between you and I [Refrain] Baby, don't leave Just stay by my side, yeah To you, who see me bigger than what my little self is (to you) So that I can give as much as I’ve received (oh-oh) So that I can keep my word (oh-oh) Don't worry, just stay by my side, yeah (Yeah) We don’t know what the future holds (holds, yeah) And that’s scary and makes us afraid (oh-oh) But don’t forget that we’re always together (don't forget) [Outro] I know it sounds so clichéd So that it's not taken lightly Let me say it to you properly
The Feelings
If you compare these lyrics to "Path" and "Sea" you can clearly see the differences, and except a mention of "sea and desert" there's nothing in common between them. Letter is not a monologue about career issues, it's a romantic song. These lyrics are expressing the feelings and addresses them to an audience and appreciates them. But how was this song made?
According to Jimin, at first, SMF Pt2 was supposed to be the last track of his solo album, but in their YTC promotion and recording era when they announced that they have planned to put their group activities on rest, Jimin decided to express his feelings of the moment through a letter, and turned that letter to song lyrics. Producers liked the song so much and decided to add it in his album and that’s how “Letter” was born. Although Jimin didn’t explain much about those “feelings” and left the conclusion to us like a true artist, we all know that this song is totally different from the other tracks in his album.
All the tracks of FACE are dark and sad. Jimin’s first album is all about himself, and he talks about the painful emotions he had as an artist and a person in the past few year, but with “Letter” there is a different story. Recording Academy admitted this and wrote:
“Though the EP is technically only six songs, the physical version has an additional “hidden” track called “Letter”. The song provides an intimacy that stands out from the other FACE tracks, capturing Jimin in his best form. The lyrics are poignant and vulnerable as Jimin pleads for someone to stay (“Baby, don't leave Just stay by my side, yeah”) The biggest surprise though? Fellow BTS member Jungkook contributes vocals to harmonize with Jimin.”
A Fan Song?
“Letter” being a “Fan Song” is a stated fact by Park Jimin himself, and there can’t be any arguments about it, but that fact doesn’t mean Jimin made this song with the thought of fans in his head and all about them. In one of my old posts, I said that a faceless crowd can’t be the muse for a romantic song, especially when that song has a "standing-out intimacy".
Another reason for calling "Letter" a fan song, is the fact that it starts at 6:13 of the album, the numbers that remind us of the debut date of BTS. We can't call this a coincidence because we know how thoughtful and punctual Jimin is. But don’t forget that 6.13 is more of BTS time than ARMY time. So, as much as you call this track a song for fans, it can be called a song for his fellow BTS members.
Why JK?
Now, let’s address the elephant in the room. Why JK was a part of this song? Did it mean something for Jimin, or did he have no other options? Jimin said that FACE is an album about himself, and he didn’t feel right about featuring other artists in it, that’s why he decided to record SMF Pt2 all alone and do all the rap parts by himself instead of featuring Yoongi in it. He collaborated with several producers and songwriters (including Namjoon), but there was no featured artist in the whole album.
About the background vocals of the album, he did most parts by himself, and for the other parts, he worked with artists who already had credits in his album, such as BLVSH, Sumin, and James Keys. But JK didn’t have anything to do with Jimin’s album. Jimin was fully capable of doing the background vocals of Letter by himself, as he did for the first parts of the song. Jimin never really explained why he decided to have JK in the song, other than saying their voices match. This known fact doesn’t give us much information, but we can have our speculations.
Closer Than This?
Another thing that questions the idea of “Letter" being inspired by fans, is the existence of “Closer Than This”. The newest release of Jimin is the exact definition of a fan song, the lyrics are straightforward and directly address the fans and leave no place for speculation. If CTT is the result of Jimin getting inspired by his fans, then “Letter” must be inspired by something different because these two songs are not comparable.
The difference becomes more obvious when we look at the initial version of the Letter lyrics in Jimin’s drafts. I wonder what the Grammy journalist who called the final lyrics of “Letter” intimate would have said if they read this:
You hugged me tightly Only you who protected me Hold my hand, hold my hand tightly You who reached out my hand You held out your hand to me
We don’t know what was going on in Jimin’s mind when he wrote these, but we can see that the initial lyrics have been moderated, and the intimate parts, which clearly refer to a person, didn’t end up in the final lyrics. FYI, I’m doing a lyric analysis here, and this is not a complaint or conspiracy theory because Jimin said that he liked the way the final version came out, and it's all that matters.
For Fans, Not About Fans
So far we made it clear that "hidden tracks" are not about fans, they are for fans like any other BTS song, but the hidden tracks are a secret between the artist and the fan, something that only the true and dedicated fan can understand, and this applies to Jimin's "Letter".
Jimin gave up on many records for streaming and buying by releasing this song as a hidden track in his album. So, there must be an important message in this song that he wanted to convey to the true fans. He did his share of being thankful to fans by CTT, and I don't think he needed to do it twice in a year.
Maybe you prefer to think Jimin just made this song for ARMY and hid it in the album as a surprise or because it didn’t match with the whole concept of FACE, and you might not be wrong about any of that. But, don’t forget that he didn’t explain anything about this, and we both are just making assumtions.
Yes, maybe Jimin didn't acknowledge JK being a part of Letter in his promotion era, but JK did everything he could for his share. A few hours before the release of FACE, he started a live and played a part of it with his guitar, and months later, he watched Jimin's live performance for Festa while harmonizing with it and reminding us that he knows the lyrics very well. In Jimin's documentary he was very supportive and even teased for a live performance with him in future.
Why Just Jikook?
Jimin and Jungkook are not the only members of BTS. But I don't know why everytime Jimin or JK do something with romantic undertones, the fans (OT7 ARMYs, to be more specific) immediately try to label it as "About ARMY". I usually don't see this energy with the other five members. I'm perfectly sure they are also very grateful for ARMY, they have released several songs about them, and they would have loved to collaborate in a fan song with Jimin, too.
Then why Jimin only included JK in Letter? Why he wanted to sing for "ARMY" with him? Unless we assume Jimin's gratitude towards ARMY has connections with JK, and I don’t even want to bring up 2019 "I am army" jokes. But "Letter" is the song the most optimistic Jikookers didn't expect to exist. You may try to ignore and normalize it, but you can't deny the fact that Letter proved Jikook's unbreakable connection as two harmonic colleages, long time friends, and inseparable souls.

Jikook: But I Still Want You
During Seoul Final in 2019, Jimin and Jungkook changed the lyrics at the end of The Truth Untold to “but I still want you.” Compared to every other change made for the final concert,  this was never explained. These different lyrics hold a significance that still applies today.
Tumblr media
In a year of uncertainty, the members strived to do their best for us in 2020. They filmed and released content throughout the year, putting us first in their minds. They kept us going during our darkest times and made us feel less alone when most of us were struggling, online and offline. They tried to make each performance unique but with the same powerful moves and meaning. With certain restrictions, they would try to keep themselves positive both backstage and onstage. They kept the flow of music and happiness going and expressed wanting to do this for many years. Not just during the hard times. It’s obvious that Jimin and Jungkook also spoke about this together previously, as seen in Festa:
Tumblr media
A special performance is MMA 2020. Black Swan is already a heart wrenching song, even more so with the cancellation of the tour afterwards. To lose your true love and passion for something, to face those fears and then conquer them within art is such a powerful message. It must have been incredibly hard for them to go through their worst fears during lockdown and we could see how they supported each other during these times. With Jimin and Jungkook, we saw them nearly always together as we usually do. And this was reflected in their performances too.
Tumblr media
In a cruel twist of fate, they wouldn’t be able to perform Black Swan live in front of an audience for a few years.  I wish that BTS could have performed their MMA 2020 set in front of a live audience, but of course that wouldn’t be possible. The performance is so tender, as we see Jungkook being dragged away from Jimin. Jimin then struggled to get through and then the powerful lift when they reunited. You could still feel the impact of the performance though through the screen and there are countless praises for Jikook’s part especially:
Tumblr media
It would be a long time until BTS would be reunited with Army again. They continued with their releases, but we could see how much the distance between them and us was affecting them. We saw this when Jimin suddenly cried during MOTS:Online and how Jungkook comforted him, very much aware of what they were each feeling. Once we were together again,we gave them so much love and you could see the relief on their faces. That they had made it and Jimin and Jungkook seemed just as affected by this too. They have an extra connection on stage and that was in full force as they played around, got extra close and flirted together. It was like no time had passed at all. This hug is different from their normal ones, it silently says “We did it. We made it.”
Tumblr media
Chapter two began and, though they did their separate things, that connection remained strong. They supported each other as much as they could, occasionally missing each other and talking about the other at any opportunity they had. This would have been a different set of circumstances that they are used to, but they made it work. Whilst also enjoying time by themselves or working on other things. Another new situation is enlistment. Though it’s been a talking point for many years, it was soon time for each member to enlist. With Jimin and Jungkook deciding to take part in the buddy system. Showing that with each struggle or new experience, they are always there for each other. And will continue to be. No matter what happens, that look and message from 2019 still remains:

I am very curious to know your opinion on sgmb…
It watched it the first time through and based only on the English lyrics was not about to jump to any conclusions. There wasn’t even a part of me that wondered if the song had any jikook connections or allusions.
I watched the video again with the subs on, saw the lyrics about debut and went, oh, maybe a fan song. A few seconds and a few lyrics later and now I cannot see the song in any way but to JK/about jikook. Your thoughts?
(P.S. I love your blog :3)
Okay okay, but be prepared to revisit this with me if more songs/interviews come out and prove me as delusional as I know I am 😂😂
Let's take this bit by bit... Promo photos for Muse are very matchy with a previous JK outfit (so par for the course this solo season for them!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The ONLY bit of information we have for Smeraldo is the information released with it....
Tumblr media
Smeraldo likens back to HYYH era where they came up with this flower for their whole storyline basically which HYYH is for the gays. Let's not even pretend it's not. Lol my answer to someone asking me "why is it gay?" Post here:
No idea why he mentioned June 12. June 13th is BTS debut date. July 9th is ARMY namesake day.... If anyone has any better ideas or I just missed something, clue me in!
The lyrics all just light hearted pure in love beautifulness? A song about feeling your feelings and letting your emotions emotion 🥺😍🥰
Tumblr media
The lyrics just talking about loving you, getting closer to you, always wanting you.... Especially with the connection to the truth untold too? Jikook with the truth untold??!! Come on...
Tumblr media
PLUS he filmed/recorded this song right before going on vacation with Jungkook. We know this because some of the kids in the MV with Jimin posted autographs they got from him, which he dated. 231122
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And on 231123, he travels to Tokyo with Jungkook...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"you don't have to worry anymore, because we are together. Let's be more honest now" Right before they go on a trip together and then enlist together??? Alright 🥺🥰
I'm willing to jump to conclusions. I'm NOT going to encourage anyone to take this as fact (ever) or jump with me though (yet). Lol I forewarned EVERYONE at the start of this post I was letting my delusions run a bit with this one for now 😂 I'll come back and either double down or say forget this post exists after MUSE releases and if we get any more interviews over this lol

A question I’ve had on my mind for a long time BPP: do you remember how Jungkook said the J on his ring finger stands for Jungkook? What do you think of that? He could’ve chosen not to answer that question but he answered it and said it means Jungkook. I’m as strong a jikooker as anyone but it made me wonder about the JM theory. Sorry if this is not in line with your blog themes, it’s OK if you ignore this ask, I just love your perspective on things and wanted to know what you think. Thanks BPP.
***
Hi Anon,
I'm pretty sure my opinion about this is unpopular lol, both with jikookers who think Jungkook didn't mean it when he said so, and with non-shippers who can't stand any sort of shipping theorizing about his tattoos.
But, yes I think Jungkook is telling the truth when he says the J on his ring finger stands for his name. It’s possible he's telling a small fib to downplay his attachment to Jimin - it wouldn’t be the first time he’s told a verified white lie to protect jikook’s honour, as it were, so yeah it’s possible that he lied. But I'm choosing to believe he's saying the truth when he says the J stands for his name. That is, as far as we can tell, the truth.
Something that is also true is Jimin calling himself ARMY. Jimin has referred to himself as ARMY several times over the years, in situations that make no sense and that get eyebrow raises from all the members.... except Jungkook. Which leads me to think it's something of an inside joke between jikook - that much is clear, but I also think it's something more than that. What that is exactly, I don't know, but here's my gut feeling about it:
Jungkook has said the person he connects most with on stage, when they are performing in front of ARMY, is Jimin. For all the members, performing on stage is their reason to live, but this is most explicitly said by Jimin and Jungkook. Some of their most heightened emotional experiences, have been on stage and/or tied to their performances. Whether it's Jimin breaking down during Rosebowl and Jungkook screaming that he loves ARMY and loves him; or Jimin crying during his performance of The Truth Untold and Jungkook moving to support him; or jikook changing the lyrics at the end of their performance of the same song and turning to look at each other as the lights dim; or a teenage Jungkook stopping in the middle of a performance to stare at an injured Jimin during their Red Bullet tour - the other members moving around them wondering why they are locked in a stare-down in the middle of the show; or how Jungkook broke down in tears during the last LY concert and turned to Jimin for comfort who then used his sweater paws to wipe Jungkook's tears...
Jikook have been doing this for years. Consistently. There's a peculiar chemistry they show only when they are on stage together in front of ARMY that frankly doesn't feel at all like the fanservice I'm used to seeing from idols. It's as though they lose certain inhibitions when they are in this heightened emotional state when performing. They connect on a level I can't fully explain to be honest, but I think it's a connection they both recognize and perceive that the presence of ARMY is one way to facilitate it.
Basically, at the intersection of Jungkook and ARMY, lies Jimin. Without Jimin convincing him during pre-debut to stay with BTS when he wanted to quit to become a dancer, Jungkook wouldn't even be in BTS. That's just one example. I don't doubt Jungkook is telling the truth when he says the 'J' stands for his name, but I think the placement of the 'J' is also intentional, and that he intentionally placed it above the 'M' in ARMY knowing that it spells out Jimin's initials. Because I think for Jungkook, he feels that the person he is, the Jungkook that's matured into a global superstar honed by hundreds of performances in front of ARMY, won't exist without Jimin.
Like I keep saying, what exactly jikook's relationship is, I have no idea. But there's something about them that's peculiar. It's wholesome and beautiful and perplexing and simple.

Jikook - what we see is what we get
When we get to see it.
Not seeing it doesn't mean it's not there though.
Was sitting today BTS songs just playing in the background while I'm working on my post. All this shit just happening around us, around JK and JM (yes, JM is part of it, he's also affected by it all), and The truth untold comes up.
This version:
youtube
One of, if not their best performance imo. The emotion just pouring out of them.
This song. It kills me every single time. Brings me to tears every single time. JM turned away from JK singing "and I still want you" in every performance. Well, other than their last 3 in Seoul, changed by them, performed by them, ending facing each other JM singing "but I still want you". Defiant.

All about the need to wear that mask to hide your true self for fear you might not be loved for who you truly are, that you might be seen as ugly, a monster. And the two of them, changing the staging, turning to each other, looking into each other's eyes, while changing the "and" to "but I still want you"... do people understand this? The enormity of this moment?
And then this song comes up, this performance:

This was on day 2, while on day 3 we had this:
Omg, my YT logarithm is trying to kill me today.
And got me thinking about this moment we got on day 3 as well.

This love, people, this chemistry, us not seeing it as often for the lack of BTS ot7 content doesn't mean is gone. It's very much still there. We just aren't as lucky to be able to see them in that one frame as often or even at all. But when we do, there is no denying it. Even if it's for the shortest of moments.
We saw it in 2020 (have people forgot memories 2020 for god sake?)

We saw it in 2021

So much more, so little image allowance... But you can find it all in my masterlist.
We saw it throughout 2022 in their Seoul and LV PTD concerts.

And in JITB even if briefly,
Tumblr media
And in Busan and Run BTS episodes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And we even got a little touch of it in 2023, when there was no way of keeping them out of the frame, like in Jhope's enlistment BTB, D-Day in Seoul and even when not being in one frame, in those lives we got to enjoy when the one joined the other in their comments and even without the other even making that kind of appearance.

Letter, goddamnit.
Oh and then we had JM literally flying across the world to be with JK for his Solo debut (if only GMA concert wasn't cancelled, damn it), and them dipping off for their 4 day private trip in CT.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's sad how short people's memories are. Really. I am reading all sorts of fanfictions being put forward as "this is what happened with Jikook over the years", stating facts that are not facts, creating non existent drama, because people love the drama.
This is a loving couple in a long term relationship. You know, that boring kind. The stable, loving, filled with respect and no drama. The one where one supports their partner when they are struggling. One where just being with each other is fulfilling (cough JK coming to JM's room in LA just to be with him in the same room for hours cough).
Funny how people are talking about them breaking up 2020-21 during the pandemic when JK literally had a slip of the tongue spilling the beans they live together, they are one household, in Run BTS episode 142 they were each gifted a knife. JK all proud and piping up "we got 2"...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
JM just sitting there all quiet, smirk on his face.
Stories about breakups. Stories about sexually experimenting but no actual emotional commitment. All while ignoring the constants. Those things that are just there, all the time, whenever we do get to see them:
That electrical chemistry between those two.
The way they look at each other constant over the years.
The way they talk to each other constant over the years.
The way they touch each other constant over the years.
The way they talk about each other.
The way their interactions are so different from the others or their own with the others.
The way the others are around them, their reaction to Jikook.
All still there!!!
*PS:
I wrote this post yesterday before JK's Radiohead appearance and his TikTok post-delete.
I guess now would be a good time to repeat what the wise @ourwinterspring (yes, I'm mentioning you again, lol) once said (well a couple of days ago, that is):
Rumors are created by haters
accepted by fools
and spread by idiots

Maybe its why Jimin chose International Pride day to do a pre-release and a rainbow themed concept since he knew his lead single would be him singing about a she/her and he made sure people didn't get it twisted. Like what the very homophobic anons and Jikook antis are doing in your asks right now, trying to use it as a Gotcha, but Jimin said jokes on you. This is Jimin we are talking about. The man is a genius. I don't see a straight man doing all that queercoding beforehand, just to say he's straight or looking for a woman. Untold truth? Forbidden feelings? Having to hide feelings? Remember, this was what he lead off with, with his promotions. You don't have to hide straight relationships & they certainly aren't forbidden where you can't speak your truth. Also leaving the rainbow at the end of Who was also intentional. People who think they have a chance with him, can claim he's straight all they want & use it to disprove him dating a male bandmate. Won't change the fact that he's done way more and enough queer coding in his life for people to get he is not exactly straight. And now after seeing/hearing Who, it makes even more sense with the pride colors/pride day release beforehand. I see you Jimin.
Oh and getting up and singing "I LOVE YOU BABE", saying My Love, My Babe, forever by your side. Saying things like since we're together now and baby on Letter. Says he is very much together with someone and very much knows what love is. He's not in crush mode anymore. He's in love mode. But go ahead and ignore songs he's written about Love and pay attention to ones he didn't write.
EXACTLY THIS.
Thank you Anon... yes, to everything you said.
I just had a convo with a friend about whether it's realistic to have a crush after 7 years together (counting from GCG Tokyo just be super conservative about dates). And its pretty unlikey. Sure you can be in love for your whole relationship but a crush is completely different.
If I was still crushing on a partner I'd had for 7 years, I'd be questioning a psychologist about what that means.
As for the rest of it, there's too much queerness in this album for anyone to look past. It's not even coded or subtle or suggested. Rainbows everywhere. Smeraldo and truth and TIMING.
It's blunt to the point of being a brick.

I love that you’re not insecure, me neither. I sleep well at night knowing they are together, side by side.
I get why people are though, with JM saying things like that, you have to have maturity I think to see past it, the truth untold.
I cannot wait for the travel show atp
"I get why people are though"
Tumblr media
Not me anon. Not me. I don't get that at all. Especially when it comes from "Jikookers"
Unless you're a shipper, which is what I believe insecure jkkrs are, then there is a reason you believe these 2 men are together, right? You've studied them, seen evidence of it and have concluded they're fucking.
So if you believe this to be the case without a doubt, then why the dumb questions and concerns? JK hangs out with V, so what? Jimin sings for a she, so what? Jimin drinks and jokes around with women, so what? This happens, that doesn't happen, so freaking what?
If you know what you know then why does anything else matter? Especially since Jikook have always been consistent? Have never changed. Ever. Like can you even think of a time Jokers were wrong?
Antis kept saying Jikook weren't seeing eo which we knew was dumb AF. Only for Jimin to confirm on the Minimoni thing that him and JK drink regularly and have deep talks. Like we knew this, its common fucking sense. But some people needed this in order to believe it? In order to ignore the antis?
Its ridiculous, anon. And that's why I continue to have 0 respect for insecure Jikookers. Y'all are dumb as rocks and I wish you would just leave already! GCF happened and u still doubt. Hickeygate happened and you still doubt. MAMA 2018, JK during FACE era, a whole sattelite Jeon exists, fucking rosebowl, they enlisted together because they didn't want to be apart for 18 months and y'all still doubt.
Insecure Jikookers, y'all are beyond help atp. Stay tf off my blog.

Anon, let's enjoy the travel vlog and forget these aholes

I was not prepared for this song.
I talked about this a little bit already in my post Smeraldo Garden Marching Band: Fan song or "Fan" song? but I just can't get over how loud this song feels to me.
SGMB doesn't feel like a whisper Jimin!
Tumblr media
Obviously I believe Jimin and Jungkook have a special relationship. Yes, I think it’s more likely than not that they are together in a romantic way. And yes, I do think some of their songs have at least partially been about or inspired by their relationship. But no, I did not expect Muse to include any kind of statement about this relationship. And then Smeraldo Garden Marching Band shattered that belief.
Before this song released, I had believed two things:
Muse would be about Jimin and his inspirations. I figured love would be one of those inspirations, but I also believed this concept in relation to Jungkook would be explored vaguely like it had been in the past.
I had expected Jimin to continue to keep his personal life pretty private from his public one. I never bought into the idea that Jikook was going to come out as a couple and start living openly together after their service. And I still feel like that is very unlikely.
I already felt like SMF pt 2 and Letter had made some pretty clear statements for those that were open to seeing them. I figured Muse would continue with this level of transparency because it's proven and safe. So that's why SGMB felt like such a shock to me.
Maybe this isn't as loud as it feels to me... maybe I am just having this reaction because this is the first time I am experiencing something new from Jimin after developing this level of investment and opinions. But this song feels so much louder than anything I had imagined we would get from him.
When I read the lyrics, I was just shocked. This message didn't feel hidden at all. Sure, it can easily be explained away as just a fun love song. In fact, I had assumed it was as much initially, right up until I understood the lyrics. Then it just seemed out there for anyone willing to see it. A loud statement about the love he has kept secret.
Obviously, if I am wrong about Jimin and Jungkook romantically being together, then I am just delulu and reading way too much into a song inspired by The Truth Untold. But if I am not wrong, and Jimin and Jungkook are in a relationship that they have been hiding all this time, then this song is loud as hell!
And since I believe I am right about them, I am completely shocked!

Can't think of a more manipulative person than someone who uses Jimin's personal, emotional struggles to get back at others.
She basically just said:
"Jimin suffered so much to do this album and some of you selfishly wanted the company to restock his CDs".
People LOVED the album, by the way, short-sighted, delusional, naive jikooker. Everyone LOVED it and people just wanted it to have a fair chance at being even more successful and celebrated and remembered than it was.
Nobody wanted Jimin to change the way he expressed his emotions or the concept of anything related to his music.
Jungkook got even remix CDs for his very personal, very real (as we all could see on video evidence) songs about fucking women seven days a week. Let that sink in.
So because Jimin struggled, everyone who wanted to support him had to struggle to give him recognition too? All the negativity that came after had everything to do with the company, not with the album or the music itself.
So because Jungkook didn't write one single song in his album, an album that's not even in a language he speaks btw, there's no pressure on him to get handed everything? Every stupid, little thing that costs nothing for a company to provide?
Now the ones who do the least deserve more? Is that it? Now people aren't supposed to complain about the ones who work the hardest receiving the least?
I hadn't even seen this post when I wrote this but this type of dumb people is exactly what I was talking about:

The Untold Truth of Jungkook’s WeLives
I had the idea of this post in my mind for a long time, but I didn't know how to put it out. Since most Jikookers have noticed some kind of pattern in JK's livestreams recently, I thought maybe it's time to write this post and add my notions to the known theories and facts.
Weverse, instead of VLive
Let’s go back one year in time. On June 16th, 2022, a day after BTS announced the pause in their group activities, which caused chaos due to media misinterpreting it as their hiatus or even disbandment, someone had to reassure ARMY about the continuation of BTS and do the damage control. And for some reason, JK was the one to be called for this duty. He started his first solo livestream in Weverse app in a place we had never seen before. That place had a few pieces of furniture from their Hannam dorm, rumored to be rented by Big Hit just a couple of weeks earlier.
Months passed, and JK didn’t do any livestreams until his birthday came, and another assigned live in the Weverse app happened at the same place. Like the other six members (five, to be more accurate since Tae evaded this), he promoted his photobook and did the routine of his lives by singing songs and casually talking with ARMY. His next solo live happened after the World Cup performance in a Doha hotel room, and he didn’t appear in any Weverse lives for some time.
Midnight Streamer
After doing only three lives in almost a year, all assigned by the company, JK came back to Weverse app on the first night of February, and this time it wasn’t an assigned livestream, but it was an unplanned and unauthorized one. He appeared at 2 AM singing songs, including Vibe, the newest release by Jimin. Since this live happened out of nowhere, Namjoon and later Tae tried to intervene and control the situation, then they realized there was nothing to worry about.
The next JK live happened only two nights later around midnight, and Jimin was the first one to comment. JK was so excited to see Jimin’s comments and invited him to have chicken, but Jimin was too busy with his schedule (even at midnight) to accept his offer. A few days later, on the 11th of February, JK did a livestream at his boxing trainer gym, and again, Jimin was one of the first ones to comment. JK and his coach invited Jimin to resume his training and implied that they both train with the same coach.
Unfortunately, this was the last livestream from that gym since JK’s privacy got invaded and videos of him doing work out there, were leaked by some stalker. A few weeks later, on the last day of February, JK did another live (this time around noon), and the same day, he deleted his Instagram account.
Is This the End?
You know that I’m among the hardcore believers of Jikook living together. And at this era, anons and non-anons kept asking me if I am still in my belief or not, since JK was showing up alone in the middle of the night, which was against this belief. But I couldn’t wrap my head around it because couples don’t suddenly stop living together unless they break up, which wasn’t the case because they weren’t acting like exes, since you don’t invite your ex for dinner or boxing together, you don’t go watch his dance practice and cheer for him. So, why were these all happening?
Jimin was getting ready for his solo debut at this time, and when the Bangtan Bomb for Jimin dance practices came out, we saw him talking about the strict diet he was on for keeping his weight around 50kg since dancers had to carry him for choreo. We weren’t strangers to Jimin’s strict diets before each comeback, but this statement was the information I needed to have my ultimate conclusion. Jikook had to stay separated for a short time because Jimin was working hard and dieting harder, and spending time with JK would work against his plans (he was literally inviting him for food in one live, remember?). This was the exact time JK started doing his routine livestreams from Brunnen because he had to stay there apart from his Jiminie hyung. But this was not the only conclusion I had from JK’s regular livestreams.
I’m Hyung’s Fan
In March, JK kept doing his livestreams which was a sign of the continuation of Jimin’s tight schedules. JK did one livestream on the 3rd day of March around 2 AM, and I don’t remember anything specific about it, but the next one was unforgettable. On March 14th, The White Day, when Jimin was out of the country for recording Jimmy Fallon show, JK did four consecutive livestreams from around 8 PM till midnight and played a playlist consisting of “There for You”, “Christmas Day” and “Nothing”, all Jimin-coded songs. He finished the fourth live a few minutes before midnight and reminded us that something amazing is coming at 00:00, which happened to be Jimin’s solo pre-release, Set Me Free Pt2. He changed his outfit three times in these lives from a black jacket to a white shirt and a purple jacket which at first didn’t seem to mean anything until Set Me Free MV and dance practice video came out.
Tumblr media
The next JK Weverse live was another undercover promotion for his Jiminie hyung. A few hours before the official release of “Face” he came online and spoiled “Letter” the hidden song in the album he did the back vocals for. If you think JK was being obvious in promoting Jimin, then you should have watched the next WeLive he did. Four days after his last livestream, he came back online to watch the newest episode of Suchwita because Jimin was the guest. He admitted that he had never watched any episodes of this drinking show before, and after that, he watched other videos of Jimin on YouTube, letting the algorithm expose his bias.
The next day, he answered Jimin’s comment about missing “ARMY” with “me too” and Jimin replied making it obvious that JK was missing “him”. The same day, Jimin did a livestream on his way back from pre-recording a stage performance, and JK spammed it with 19 comments. JK never did this for any other member. All the Hyung line had their solo releases too, but JK never did anything for them that was remotely close to what he did for Jimin. He obviously wasn’t lying when he commented ‘I’m Hyung’s fan”.
I Really Want to Stay at Your House
After the end of Jimin’s solo album promotions, JK’s regular livestreams suddenly became less and less regular, and it was safe to say they were back to their normal living routine. I know Jikookers heard his voice in Jimin’s livestream after getting Billboard Hot100 No.1 on April 3rd, but I’m not going to go there. JK did a short WeLive on April 8th before his trip to LA, but it was a different story, he did that to explain the situation earlier happened in the house. On the 18th of April, when Jhope was enlisting, we saw Jikook’s passionate hug and hinting about the drinking they had the night before, proving again that they spend a lot of time together in their free time.
On April 25th, Jimin traveled to NYC for a Tiffany event and recorded his latest collaboration, and on the same night, JK appeared in Weverse app for another livestream, and the first song he played was named “I Really Want to Stay at Your House”. The next day he posted his food, and a few days later he attended the LV event after-party with Mingyu. On the 4th of May, he complained about a stalker sending food to his door in a Weverse post and threatened with legal action. Two days later Jimin came back from NYC, and JK went on socmed hiatus again. On May 21st he posted a cute photo of Bam, and on the 23rd Jimin left for London, and the next day JK came back to WeLive like a clockwork.
I tried to review everything in chronological order, but I know I have spared lots of details. I don’t think this post needs any conclusion or further explanation because everything explained itself, and you are free to have your own concussion. JK doing livestreams or posting food photos only when Jimin is away or busy, promoting his work and adoring him the way we had never seen before, only has one reasonable explanation, and anything other than that is not valid.
