HOW NEHRU CAN TRULY BE CALLED 'THE ARCHITECT OF INDIA'S BIMARU ECONOMIC STRUCTURE'. ................................................................................. - HOW NEHRU INCOMPETENTLY, & PER MANY HISTORIANS, MALICIOUSLY, RUINED EASTERN INDIAN ECONOMIES, LIKE BENGAL, BIHAR, JHARKHAND, MADHYA PRADESH, CHHATTISGARH, & ORISSA, BY HIS ONE SIDED (SUBSIDIZED/EQUALIZED FREIGHT COST OF RAW MATERIAL ONLY & NOT FOR FINISHED GOODS) FREIGHT EQUALIZATION POLICY. - HOW NEHRU IN THE GARB OF A SOCIALIST INDIA, MANAGED TO CREATED A REGRESSIVELY CAPITALISTIC INDIA INSTEAD.
Here are India's 60 yr Share of Wealth stats, from 1961-2020, taken from the 'World Inequality Database'.
Looking at which, most would be forced to ask, why is it that in a wholly socialized state like India (& heavily publicized so at that for 60 yrs)....that our Top 1% 's share in wealth goes up 3 times, Top 10%'s share goes up 1.5 times, BUT SHARE OF THE BOTTOM 50% IS LITERALLY HALVED?
The answer to this lies largely in one man, Nehru, & his policies, either incompetently unintentional or maliciously intentional, policies directly responsible for creating a deeply disparate & heavily lopsided yet overall non-flourishing economic structure, for the entire first half century of the 'Dominion (of Britain) India'.
And the biggest mishap-causing misadventure, being 1951's infamous FREIGHT EQUALIZATION POLICY.

Above is the Russian Govt+military reaction, to Indian 'independence' in mid 1947. This article was published in the Russian central military newspaper 'Red Star' on July 31, 1947, just 2 weeks before the official date of India's so-called Independence.
"Chief economic positions still remain in British hands–railways, marine transport, port economy, irrigation systems, finance, basic part of jute, industry, almost whole mining industry etc"
“The defence of economic positions and interests is not possible without political power. That power will be secured in the person of the capitalists, landowners and businessmen who are dependent upon British capital.”
“The partition, does not affect the feudal power of the Princes who have always supported British domination.”
"The British Govt plans to artificially separate industrial from agricultural areas, turning it to a agrarian & raw material appendage of Britain."
Exactly what Nehru's Freight Equalization Policy achieved 4 yrs later!
And to add to what y'all I assume would already have read from above, as to it's evil designs & effects, it created a reverse-reward scenario, whereby all the resource-rich states were essentially penalized for their natural advantages, by taking away all incentive for processing-industries & final transportation industries, that are a logical next step from the extraction industries, to germinate & set base in these places. Thereby creating a scenario where the South-western & western coastal states like Maharashtra, Gujarat & Tamil Nadu, & parts of Punjab in North India, were able to find logical easy base for all the processing & transportation industries in their states, for industries like steel, cement, heavy manufacturing, & power, all enabled via raw materials from the other far-off states, like iron ore, coal, limestone, bauxite, copper etc, even w/o any personal natural resources to rely on themselves, merely by virtue of being easy locations to set up ports in for exports, & w/o industries having to compromise on higher transportation & value-added processing costs, that cost aspect equalized & protected for all distances from the resource point. All this, with resource states not finding even some respite in terms of return benefits from any possibly subsidized finished product costs, finished goods not covered by this policy!
These 4-5 states effectively thus became the parasites, for atleast 7 of the traditionally god-gifted states of today like Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Orissa, Bengal & Uttar Pradesh, killing all their hope at industrial development & economic progress, & where there is economic (or lotsa times attached) spiritual hopelessness, springs leftism in all it's devious forms, giving birth to intense communism & it's shameful offsprings of caste-divide & gang-culture, literally turning these states HOUSING HALF OF INDIA'S POPULATION, into the pot-holes of the Indian Union -the BIMARU (for Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh) states of India.
Now in all of this, it's not as if the above-mentioned coastal states were turning themselves into heavens of prosperity either, merely relatively well-off & with a hopeful disposition of the future, that in itself enough to attract large-scale migration from the above BIMARU states, particularly Maharashtra with a more traditionally Hindi-friendly ambience, but also in TN, creating a new urban housing problem, giving birth anew to Mumbai's infamously gargantuan chawl (dingy hutment) lifestyle.
And the reasons for these states, given all these special privileges, not able to take off well enough, aren't directly visible, yet that we can now, on basis of our analysis of Nehru & his so-called Independent India, over innumerable blogs prior, safely interpret, to be an India yet functioning in 1950s & till mid-1960s as some sort of a vassal state of Britain. Only natural then for a supreme state in such a relationship, to not be assumed to desire nations other than itself any sorta economic or strategic base in it's territory, thus curtailing more robust foreign economic to-and-fro.
A utterly class-subservient bent, not seen just for the British race, but per historians, eg Kanchan Gupta, in his hateful sense of complex & hatred of dark-skinned & skinny Bengali community, even worse passionate Hindu Durga-lovers, & per many, all largely borne of his hatred for Bose.
And thus ends yet another inglorious chapter from the life of the self-confessed Last British Ruler of India.
The Tale of the Internal Destruction of India, & it's Premier at it.

[ad_1] Paromita Das GG News Bureau New Delhi, 29th October. As Jharkhand gears up for the upcoming assembly elections, political fervor has reached new heights, with party leaders intensifying their rhetoric to secure an edge. In a recent and heated development, Congress MLA Irfan Ansari’s derogatory remark against BJP leader Sita Soren ignited widespread controversy, drawing fierce reactions from both political and public spheres. Ansari’s comment, labeling Soren as a “rejected maal,” not only exposed the deep-seated rivalries in Jharkhand politics but also raised important questions about the tone of political discourse and gender respect in the state. Sita Soren, in response, highlighted the personal and cultural sensitivities at stake, particularly as a widow and a prominent tribal leader, underlining the incident’s broader impact on women’s safety and dignity in Jharkhand. Context of the Controversy Political Climate Ahead of Elections As candidates submit their nominations and campaigns gain momentum, political parties are increasingly vying for public attention. In this high-stakes atmosphere, issues of social justice, economic development, and tribal rights take center stage, reflecting Jharkhand’s unique demographic and cultural composition. However, inflammatory statements, such as Ansari’s comment, have shifted focus away from policy and raised questions about the standards of political rhetoric. Sita Soren’s Leadership and Tribal Legacy Sita Soren, a BJP candidate from Jamtara, is a member of Jharkhand’s politically influential Soren family, which has long been associated with tribal rights and regional identity. As the widow of late Durga Soren and daughter-in-law of Shibu Soren, her candidacy has substantial symbolic weight, particularly in tribal communities. Ansari’s comment, therefore, is perceived by many as not just a personal attack but an affront to tribal dignity and women’s respect, stirring sentiments across the electorate. The Social Backlash and Gender Sensitivity Public Outcry and the Demand for Apology In response to Ansari’s comments, Soren and her supporters voiced strong disapproval, viewing the remark as an attack on the dignity of all women in Jharkhand. Soren demanded a public apology, suggesting that such language from an elected official sets a dangerous precedent, especially when directed at women leaders. She voiced concerns about the safety of women in society, particularly under a leadership that tolerates such discourse, framing it as a call to hold leaders accountable for their words. The Role of Social Media in Amplifying Issues Sita Soren’s decision to post the video of Ansari’s remarks on social media further ignited public opinion. Platforms like X (formerly Twitter) have become essential tools for holding public figures accountable, allowing incidents like this to gain immediate and widespread attention. BJP Jharkhand’s promotion of the video, showing Soren in tears, has added an emotional and visual dimension to the issue, amplifying its reach and impact across diverse voter bases, particularly among women. Reactions Across the Political Spectrum BJP’s Position and Strategic Response BJP leaders, including Union Minister and Jharkhand election in-charge Shivraj Singh Chauhan, condemned Ansari’s statement as an insult to “the sisters and daughters of Jharkhand” and demanded his expulsion from the state cabinet. BJP has not only voiced criticism but has also taken legal action, filing a case against Ansari, thus using both judicial and public channels to intensify pressure on the Congress. By framing the issue as a matter of women’s dignity, BJP aims to strengthen its appeal among female and tribal voters who may view the party as a defender of women’s rights in Jharkhand. Congress’s Position and Ansari’s Defense In contrast, Ansari has argued that his remarks were misinterpreted and that BJP distorted his comments for political gain. This claim of “distortion” has not, however,
lessened the backlash, particularly as gendered language in politics faces growing scrutiny. Congress’s silence or defense of Ansari could potentially backfire, alienating voters who expect a commitment to ethical conduct from their leaders, especially on sensitive issues. Gender Respect and the Role of Women in Jharkhand Politics The Double Standards Women Face in Politics This controversy highlights the challenges women leaders face in India, where gender-based commentary often undermines their contributions. Despite Jharkhand’s tribal heritage that traditionally celebrates women’s roles in community leadership, political discourse remains largely male-dominated. Comments such as Ansari’s bring to light the double standards female politicians confront, where their integrity is often questioned more harshly than their male counterparts. Voter Sensitivity to Gendered Discourse For Jharkhand’s voters, particularly women, these issues resonate deeply. The incident underscores the need for a new standard in political dialogue, one that prioritizes respect, equality, and inclusivity. Political leaders’ stance on this controversy will likely influence voters who expect a move toward more progressive and respectful political engagements, especially as the state contends with issues like women’s safety, economic empowerment, and representation. Conclusion: A Test for Ethical Leadership in Jharkhand This recent exchange between Irfan Ansari and Sita Soren underscores the heightened tensions in Jharkhand politics, but more importantly, it tests the boundaries of ethical conduct and respect in political life. In a state where tribal identity and gender respect play significant roles, political leaders are under scrutiny to uphold standards that reflect the aspirations of their constituents. The controversy offers an opportunity for introspection across political lines, highlighting the importance of elevating political discourse beyond personal attacks and gender-based slurs. If Jharkhand’s political future is to be built on respect and dignity, this incident could serve as a pivotal moment for reform, challenging leaders to commit to a higher ethical standard in the public eye. The incident also underscores the shifting dynamics in India’s political landscape, where accountability through public channels is becoming increasingly influential. For both BJP and Congress, the handling of this controversy will likely impact their standing among Jharkhand’s electorate, particularly among women who seek leaders committed to safety, respect, and equality. Ratan Tata - Life and History
Ratan Naval Tata was an Indian industrialist and philanthropist. He served as the chairman of Tata
Group and Tata Sons from 1991 to 2012 and he held the position of interim chairman from October 2016 to February 2017. In 2008, he received the Padma Vibhushan, the second highest civilian honour in India. Ratan had previously received the Padma Bhushan, the third highest civilian honour, in 2000. Ratan Tata was the son of Naval Tata, who was adopted by Ratanji Tata, son of Jamshedji Tata, the founder of the Tata Group. He graduated from Cornell University College of Architecture with a bachelor's degree in architecture. He joined the Tata Group in 1962 starting on the shop floor of Tata Steel. He later succeeded J. R. D. Tata as chairman of Tata Sons upon the latter's retirement in 1991. During his tenure, the Tata Group acquired Tetley, Jaguar Land Rover, and Corus, in an attempt to turn Tata from a largely India-centric group into a global business. Throughout his life, Tata invested in over 40 start-ups, primarily in a personal capacity, with additional investments through his firm, RNT Capital Advisors.
Early years
In 1961 Tata met architect A. Quincy Jones who spent three weeks as architecture design critic at Cornell. After completing Cornell, Tata briefly joined Jones at his firm Jones & Emmons in Los Angeles. While Tata was planning to settle in Los Angeles, he was called back to India by his grandmother.
Later years
In the 1970s, Ratan Tata was given a managerial position in the Tata group. He achieved initial success by turning the subsidiary National Radio and Electronics (NELCO) around, only to see it collapse during an economic slowdown. In 1991, J. R. D. Tata stepped down as chairman of Tata Sons, naming him his successor. Initially, Tata faced stiff resistance from the heads of various subsidiaries, who had a large amount of operational freedom under the senior Tata's tenure. In response, Tata implemented a number of policies designed to consolidate power, including the implementation of a retirement age, having subsidiaries report directly to the group office, and requiring subsidiaries to contribute their profit to building the Tata group brand. Tata prioritised innovation and delegated many responsibilities to younger talent. Under his leadership, overlapping operations between subsidiaries were streamlined into company-wide operations, with the group exiting unrelated businesses to take on globalisation.
Personal life and death
Tata never married and had no children. In 2011, he stated, "I came close to getting married four times and each time I backed off in fear or for one reason or another." However, he was very close to his personal assistant Shantanu Naidu during the later part of his life. Tata was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in critical condition due to dyspnea and was under intensive care from 7 October 2024. He died there at 23:30 IST on 9 October 2024, at the age of 86 due to age-related issues. Following his death, the Government of Maharashtra and the Government of Jharkhand announced a day of mourning. On 10 October, Tata was given a state funeral. His last rites were conducted at the Worli crematorium. He was accorded with military and 21-gun salute during his final rites. Mumbai Police delivered a ceremonial guard of honour and his body was wrapped in the Indian flag.
Honours and awards
President Pratibha Patil presenting the Padma Vibhushan to Ratan Tata, at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, in 2008 Ratan Tata received the Padma Bhushan in 2000 and Padma Vibhushan in 2008, the third and second highest civilian honours awarded by the Government of India. Tata also received various state civilian honours such as 'Maharashtra Bhushan' in 2006 for his work in the public administration in Maharashtra and 'Assam Baibhav' in 2021 for his contribution towards furthering cancer care in Assam.

Jayant Sinha Responds To BJP's "Didn't Vote, Attend Rallies" Notice
Former Union Minister and MP Jayant Sinha on Wednesday said that he was "surprised" to receive the BJP's show cause notice asking him why he didn't vote in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections and did not take part in election campaigning.
In response to BJP's Jharkhand general secretary Aditya Sahu's letter, Mr Sinha said that he voted through the postal ballot process as he was overseas for "personal commitments".
"I was very surprised to receive your letter and discover that you have released it to the media as well," Mr Sinha, who is the sitting MP from the Hazaribagh seat in Jharkhand, said in a two-page letter to Mr Sahu.
Responding to Mr Sahu's charge that he has not been taking part in "organisational work and election campaigning" ever since Manish Jaiswal was declared a candidate from the Hazaribagh Lok Sabha seat, Mr Sinha said that he was not invited for "any party events, rallies or organizational meetings".
"The party announced Shri Manish Jaiswal ji as its candidate for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. My endorsement was evident when I congratulated Shri Jaiswal ji on March 8, 2024, an event that was well-documented on social media and demonstrated my unwavering support for the party's choice," he said.
"If the part wanted me to participate in any election activities, you could surely have contacted me. However, not a single senior party official or MP/MLA from Jharkhand reached out to me. I was not invited to any party events, rallies, or organizational meetings," he said.
Jayant Sinha, who in March had announced that he wouldn't contest the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, also said that he had requested BJP national president JP Nadda to relieve him from his "direct electoral duties".
"I withdrew from the Lok Sabha elections on March 2. After consulting with Shri Nadda ji and getting his explicit approval, I made it clear publicly that I was not going to be involved in these elections. I am happy to support the party on economic and governance policies and have continued to do so," the two-term MP told Mr Sahu.
Mr Sinha also said that on April 30, he received a call from Mr Jaiswal inviting him to his nomination rally on May 1, but he couldn't attend "due to the late notice"
"I traveled to Hazaribagh on May 2 and went directly to Shri Jaiswal ji's residence to express my regards. He was not present, so I conveyed my message to his family," he said.
Mr Sinha, who has been associated with the BJP for over 25 years, also stated that his "development and organizational work in Hazaribagh have been appreciated widely", that also reflected in his "record" victories in the 2014 and 2019 general elections.
"Given my contributions to the party and the circumstances detailed above, the public issuance of your letter is unseemly. Your approach demoralizes dedicated party workers and undermines the party's collective efforts. Additionally, despite my loyalty and hard work for the party, it appears that I am being unjustly targeted," he told Mr Sahu.
"We could have certainly spoken in person or on the phone at any time to address any of your misgivings. As the party official responsible for the Hazaribagh Lok Sabha elections, you could have reached me at any time. To send me a letter after the elections are over is incomprehensible," he said.

PM Recalls Personal Bond With Tribals, Bats For Their Products At Aadi Mahotsav
Calling the welfare of tribal society a matter of personal relationship and emotions for him, the Prime Minister said the country is moving with unprecedented pride with regard to its tribal glory. THE INDIAN TRIBAL reports
New Delhi
Inaugurating the 15-day mega National Tribal Festival at Major Dhyan Chand Stadium here, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said events like Aadi Mahotsav have become movements and are presenting a grand picture of India’s tribal heritage during the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. He said that the Aadi Mahotsav represents a picture of the diversity and magnificence of India standing together shoulder to shoulder. “The Aadi Mahotsav is like an infinite sky where the diversity of India is projected like the colours of a rainbow”, the Prime Minister remarked.
Drawing a parallel with the colours of a rainbow coming together, the Prime Minister said that the nation’s magnificence also comes to the fore when its infinite diversities are threaded into the string of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat’ and that is when India provides guidance to the entire world.
Upon arriving at the venue, the Prime Minister paid floral tributes to Bhagwan Birsa Munda and accompanied by Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda took a walk-through of the stalls at the exhibition.
The PM said what was considered remote, now, the government is going there on its own and bringing the remote and neglected into the mainstream. Events like Aadi Mahotsav have become a movement in the country and he himself participates in many of them, he pointed out.
“Welfare of tribal society is also a matter of personal relationship and emotions for me. I have seen your traditions closely, lived them and learnt from them,” said the Prime Minister, remembering his close association with the tribal communities during his days as a social worker.
While he informed that the tribal products find a place of pride in his gifts to foreign dignitaries, tribal tradition is presented by India as an integral part of Indian pride and heritage on global platforms.
He said, India conveys solutions to problems like global warming and climate change in the tribal way of life and emphasized the tribal community of India has a lot to inspire and teach with regard to sustainable development.
The PM highlighted the efforts of the government in promoting tribal products and asked the people, especially, those in Delhi/NCR to come in large numbers to the Aadi Mahotsav, see for themselves what India’s jungles are producing and also ensure the stocks of those who have put up stalls at venue are sold out.
He underlined tribal products should reach the maximum market and their recognition and demand should increase. Giving the example of bamboo, the Prime Minister noted that the previous government had prohibited the harvest and use of bamboo but it was the present government that included bamboo in the category of grass and abolished the prohibition.
Reflecting on this year’s Budget, the Prime Minister informed that PM Visvakarma Yojna has been introduced for traditional craftsmen where economical assistance will be provided apart from skill development and support in marketing their products.
“Tribal children, be they in any corner of the country, their education and their future is my priority,” the PM said. Pointing out the hardships faced by the tribal youth due to the language barrier, he threw light on the New Educational Policy where youth can opt to study in their mother tongues.
He also showcased that the nation has finally taken the step in the Amrit Mahotsav to bring these forgotten chapters of the past to the fore and said, “For the first time, the country has started celebrating Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas on the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda”.
Recalling the opportunity to inaugurate the museum dedicated to Bhagwan Birsa Munda in Ranchi, Jharkhand, he also noted that museums related to tribal freedom fighters are coming up in various states.
Even though it is happening for the first time, the Prime Minister said that its impression will be visible for many generations to come and will provide inspiration and give direction to the country for many centuries.
“We have to protect our past, take our sense of duty to the peak in the present, and make our dreams come true for the future”, the Prime Minister remarked as he stated that events like Aadi Mahotsav are a strong medium to take this resolution forward. He emphasized that the campaign should become a mass movement and stressed organizing such events in different states.
The Aadi Mahotsav, which celebrates the spirit of tribal culture, crafts, cuisine, commerce and traditional art, is an annual initiative of the Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation Limited (TRIFED) under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. It is being organised from 16 to 27 February at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in Delhi.
The programme will showcase the rich and diverse heritage of tribes from across the country in over 200 stalls at the venue. Around 1000 tribal artisans will participate in the Mahotsav.
Since 2023 is being celebrated as the International Year of Millets, along with usual attractions like handicrafts, handloom, pottery, and jewellery among others, a special focus in the Mahotsav will be on showcasing Shree Anna grown by tribals.

Why India’s Social Milieu Needs An Urgent Contemplation
India, traditionally, has been offering astounding variety in virtually every aspect of social life - diversities of ethnic, linguistic, regional, economic, religious, class, and caste groups crosscut Indian society, which gives light to its very inclusive, secular and democratic character. But why there has been a social unrest lately?
India ranks 144th on the World Happiness Index out of a total 156 countries on the list, even behind the likes of Pakistan, ranked 66th, and Bangladesh, ranked 107th.
17th June, 2019, a 24-year old man called Tabrez Ansari was mob-lynched in Jharkhand. He was tied to a pole sometime around midnight, and was beaten brutally till 6 in the morning, and was also forced to chant Hindu sayings. As usual, police arrived late, Tabrez was taken to the hospital, where even his blood pressure was not recorded. He died four days later.
Kashmiri Pandits were victims to a similar unfortunate happening. They were forced to exodus from their own home, and ever since, Kashmir has been even more of a hot topic.
It was a similar mob which chased and killed Inspector Subodh Kumar Singh in December, 2018 in Bulandshahr. He was trying to control a mob that had gone on the rampage after cow carcasses were discovered nearby the locality. The same mob also raised slogans against the police during the unfortunate happening.
Back then, between 2015-2018 specifically, such things were done in the name of cows, an animal which holds a religious significance in Hindu mythology. Considerable amount of such happenings on the name of cow slaughtering frequently grabbed news headlines back then, and as a consequence, consumption of beef in India saw some low. When reports of cow being starved to death in official government shelters started coming in, and also about that stray cattle were destroying crops and farmers were not very pleased with it, politics abandoned cows. It is obvious that cows, along with other animals, need to be protected, also given the fact that dairy products are a must, there needs more to be done to protect and nurse them. But the project of fear and violence that had been started, still continues in various forms.
But, unfortunately, cases of mob-lynchings still take place in our beloved India. The very recent case of Palghar district in Maharashtra, where two Hindu saints, while being in police custody and being taken to Gujarat, were attacked by locals. Reports suggest that the rumors were spread in the area about a gang which abducts children, and on the suspicion of the same, the saints were beaten to death, while the act of police standing quietly beside raised many questions.
A particular section of society, including sections of media, left no stone unturned to give it a communal angle. And there is no denying that there are communal and casteist angles to most of such cases, but there is a larger angle to it. The fact that somehow normal and a routine act it has become to lynch anyone you disagree with, who is outnumbered, is a thing which we need to question. What message are we passing on to the youth? Aspiring to be a global superpower, what are we projecting ourselves as?
The Larger Picture
Democracy has space for various views, expressing dissent in a dignified manner, solving issues, but no democracy can justify use of violence or any arbitrary means to deal with dissent. The very feeling of people that they too are ours should not be compromised at any cost.
The fact that the frequency of such acts has increased in last few years outlines that a message has been passed on to the society, especially the youth, that to beat up someone who does not agree with you, or who expresses any or some form of dissent is a normal practice. Of course, there also has to be some manner and dignity in which dissent should be expressed in a democratic society. But to suppress dissent brutally should not be a solution in a civil society.
This the reason why a new debate had acquired the headlines for some time about whether and how India has been growing intolerant rapidly, but the media and the viewers, the public, a large part of it, did not pay much attention to it. This was and is, what I believe, still a relevant question to ask and explore.
A considerable section of the youth has grasped that dissent or disagreement can be or has to be suppressed, even if it needs violence, which is more than worrisome. This is very much evident owing to recent JNU Campus Violence amongst students back in winter during anti-CAA protests. And the youth today, is the future tomorrow, which is why this makes it even more worrisome.
This even stops many from expressing their views, fearing that might get beaten up by the people having other views, and by not letting other ideas to be out there in the society, the prevailing ideas of the authorities are being hailed as champions. This is where we are failing as a democratic society. We have stopped or started to prevent asking questions.
A democratic society is always full of different ideas, views and perspectives, that is the beauty of democracy. A democratic society always cleaves up, if a one and only idea prevails in the society, there has to be something wrong, we are never going to realize what's wrong in such a scenario, and we have contemporary examples of such autocracies. And there were reasons why human, with time, switched from monarchy to democracy, he liked the idea of discussing various angles and coming up with one which could be best, as it will cover as many as loopholes, angles and point of views as possible, for the best of interests for every section of the society.
The Core Youth Issue
India’s 65% population comprises of people aged 35 or below, making it potentially one of the youngest country in the world, but what’s fresh in them?
A child learns most of the civil and moral values at home, he learns what he sees, and tends to practice the same, this is the normal scenario. What he learns through the education system, along with his moral values, is somewhat an outline of what kind of a person one is, how one’s attitude is. And India’s education system has been questioned ever since.
The Indian government’s very own draft education policy tells us that National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) rates 68% of our Universities average or below average, and 91% of our colleges are rated average or below average. These second-and third-grade colleges would have produced generations of average or below average students and scholars.
Today’s youth of India has been in the making for decades. A great deal of efforts must have been put in to finish off all the curiosity and hunger for knowledge and information. The youth no longer wants to understand why a system made them spend lakhs of rupees studying, when at the end most of them could not find jobs which could even earn them Rs.20,000 per month, but still are repaying their education loans. It is the official data released back in 2018 that around 67% families in India survive with a monthly family income of Rs. 10,000 or below.
Those who demand information, who understand their world, those who question the status quo, are the ones who sustain democracies. Can we expect such democratic ideals from the youth of a country where 91% colleges and 68% Universities are average or below average? 65% of Indians might be under the age of 35, but there’s little sign of anything fresh in their thinking. Their minds are not young. They were first burdened with great ignorance, and now they’ve been blinded by communalism.
With 91% colleges being second and third rate, it was inevitable that the youth is kept away from the realm of knowledge. This must have had a large say on why WhatsApp University became so popular, the very messages people received on their private chats must have felt to them that they now had an access to knowledge, the very fact that it was so easily accessible, made it very impactful. Lies and misleading information designed to prejudice them and incite them to violence now began to reach their smartphones as personal texts.
Fear Of Speaking Out (FOMO FOSO)
Our Lok Sabha has passed amendments to Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act last year, that gives authorities the power to declare any individual a ‘terrorist’. After it was amended, many social workers who have worked for the under-privileged for years, and raised important issues which was not in the best of interests for the authorities, have been imprisoned under UAPA.
As an obvious consequence, many have held themselves back to not speak out on issues they would have spoken on otherwise, the fear of intolerance of some sections of the society which may turn ugly and the fear of trolls of social media of the great IT Cell may also have been the reasons for the same.
There was a very popular dissent outrage in the form of protests in the form of anti-CAA-NRC protests. Protests in cities and college campuses took place across the nation, some also turned ugly as violence broke out in certain protests. To counter anti-CAA-NRC protests, pro-CAA-NRC protests were also being held in various parts of the country, which was first of its kind. The national lockdown owing to the coronavirus pandemic has brought the topic to a stop, but during this lockdown, various student leaders of anti-CAA-NRC have been charged under UAPA.
JP Narayan addressing a rally during JP movement in 1974. Many scholars speculate that the real Emergency started not in 1975, but in 1974.
In the history of independent India, its hard to remember any other popular mass protest where people across the nation came to roads to express dissent to the authorities, only one such example crosses our minds - the JP Narayan movement in 1974, during the time when Indira Gandhi used to be the PM of India, which mostly included students, and was ultimately suppressed after imposition of Emergency in 1975. But owing to a new practice we have accepted of labeling every sound that questions the authorities as anti-nationals or leftists.
India has had a history of patriarchy, which still prevails in many forms. Women in India, historically, have not been provided equal rights and recognition as men do. In such a nation, be it in the name of anti-CAA-NRC, such a large all-women protest of a scale as big as Shaheen Bagh is a very, very rare thing. Irrespective of our political affiances and interests, the fact that historically deprived women actually came out and led a mass protest on their own, which lasted for more than 3 months and has come to a haul owing to the pandemic, this certainly deserved some thoughts.
Motive of the protest, political interests and such stuffs can be and should be questioned, but in the process we should also give some recognition to things which are rare and important.
We all may share different political thoughts, different political affiliations, but at the end of the day, we all belong to one nation, and our ideas should be for the best of interests for our nation and its people as a whole.

In India's industrial and economic development, industrial gases are important. They regularly analyze and update their procedures to cut costs and make them more sustainable in light of the growing harm done to the environment and ecosystem. They serve as the building blocks of the manufacturing and industrial sectors. Domestic players are investigating the dynamics that are offered by international markets in an effort to accelerate production since they have aspirations to go global. The demand for oxygen gas has increased as a result of COVID-19. The absence of standards and protocols for the provision of these gases is a significant bottleneck for the industry.
