Tagged By: @burninghoneyatdusk thank you for the tag! Also like fangirling just a little tbh (I elaborate on this further in the post but v excited to be mutuals!). I love these little things, they’re so freaking fun! :)

1. What’s your favorite genre to write

I’m the rom com girl for sure, I love super sappy love stories with minimal drama for the most part. I am a huge member of the happy endings camp. I’ve only ever written Modern AUs because of this but also kind of because I just like to leave canon alone and I struggle to balance the sci fi elements at times in regard to continuity. Also a major softie for kid fics, which I don’t think counts as a genre but I’m including it anyway.

2. Do you pull inspiration from real life? Or do you pull things from other books/fanfic?

My main Bellarke series is rom com AUs based off of romantic comedies and I have a few other stories based off of TV shows. So I would say for the most part I tend to draw from media. A lot of the kid stuff I write comes from babysitting and having nieces and nephews lol but that’s really the only real life stuff I draw from.

3. Do you tend to write one-shots, short stories or longer things?

I mainly write long fics, brevity is not my strong suit for sure. I love writing slow burns so multi chapter fics tend to be structured better for that. But I’ve just started delving into one shots and I’ve really been enjoying it! It’s kind of nice to give someone a peek in a world without giving away too much. I’ve been loving one shot prompts so if you have any please send them my way!

4. Do you prefer description or dialogue?

Definitely dialogue! It’s the way I infuse humor into my stories most of the time and I love the back and forth or writing characters flirting. Description is a little harder for me because I know setting the scene is important but it’s so mechanical that I tend to lose my train of thought!

5. Favorite fic/book of all time?

This is such a hard question! So many things I could write here and I always have a hard time narrowing down options...

Books: Harry Potter was a super important book series for me growing up, I also love anything by Bob Goff because he’s so inspiring and positive and I just recently finished Where the Crawdads Sing which was so southern, beautiful and tragic all at once (would highly reccomend).

Fics: so I’ve had a recent obsession with @burninghoneyatdusk ‘s fic “Homesick (It’s a bittersweet feeling) guys it is such a beautifully woven love story i thought about it for DAYS after I finished reading 10/10 amazing!! Also anything by my dear pal @ktanansi but her quarintine fic is so sweet and spicy just ugh love it!

Hmm those are the two I’m actively reading rn, I have a hard time seeking out fic to read but if you write modern AU romance or have any good ones send them my way pls!

6. Favorite Tropes

Friends to lovers! Kid fics! Adopting kids in fics! Two people who aren’t together raising kids and falling in love! Slow burns! Enemies to friends to lovers!

7. Are you the kind of person to work on more than one WIP?

Hmm this is tough! I go back and fourth on this...I have two fics I wrote by themselves and focused solely on them and I am absolutely more emotionally attached tho those stories. I think for stories that are a little more serious and intricate I like to focus on them independently because I want to be able to keep the storyline and plot details straight (Instant Family was one of these). But with more lighthearted things I tend to work on a few at once so that the humor stays fresh and I don’t let it get to angsty.

8. How long have you been writing for?

I got my start on FFN when you still had to give copyright warnings and you could leave author’s notes in the middle of your fics lol...meaning I’m ancient as heckingbob y’all. I think I’ve been writing for over 13 years? I used to write cringe worthy dramione fic and Rory/Jess fic for Gilmore girls back when I had no idea what relationships were and I thought a huge kiss at the end was a great piece of tension relief!

I took about an 8-9 year break and then fell onto the Bellarke fandom and wrote “Life as we Know it” on a whim! I’ve been back for almost a year now and everything about fan fiction is so different (a lot of it in a good way) but it’s been so wonderful to be creative and write stories again.

9. Do you tend to write more in the afternoon or evening?

I work full time in PR and am also in school so I tend to do most of my writing at night while I’m unwinding with a glass of wine ;) this is the way I decompress from my job hahah it’s why I often give Clarke some interaction of my career and take all my frustration out on it! It’s also usually something I do whenever on weekends when the inspo strikes.

10. Do you prefer to post your WIP chapter by chapter, or do you prefer to wait until it’s 100% done before posting?

I think for me, the best part about writing fic vs writing traditional novels is the ability to get chapter by chapter feedback and communicate with readers as I write! I love seeing the little nuances people find in my writing (often things I don’t see myself) and incorporating it into my stories. There’s also been times where I’ve had certain plot points planned and then scrapped them based on the reactions to the build up! So I think I’m for sure a chapter by chapter person!

Ummmm I think it depends on the friendship? also I think I can tend to be a bit of both (cause I'm an insecure ass binch), tho I don't ever feel like my friendships are dying lmao

What do you prefer?: first, second or third gen kpop songs?

I generally prefer second generation??? I think????? I like a bit of all of them tho. but like there is no definitive answer to when each of the generations start and end so like I don't even know??? but most of my fav groups as far as music goes are older around 2nd gen but a fair amount of them are gen 3, I have a really strong love for kpop that was released between 2009-2014.

Tell me a fun childhood story (I’ll start! One time an aunt gave me money to buy ‘papas’ (potatoes) at the grocery store so bc I’m obedient af I went and asked the counter lady how many of em could I buy with the money I had so she went ‘uhh, not many tbh’ so i ended up getting like two and when I returned to my aunt’s house she laughed her ass off and said: I meant ‘papas fritas’ (potato chips) Not those! - and uh yeah this is funnier in Spanish but it proves that I’m such an innocent angel I mean wow)

ok so I spent a lot of time at my aunt Lori’s house when I was a kid (like summers, and after school) and my cousin was the BUG queen so she hand made leashes for her pet toads (that she caught) and we walked them around on leashes for like a week but I was always so afraid of them and also hurting them so I WAS NOT ABOUT THAT ahahaha dumb story but it makes me laugh alsoalsoalsdo they had this bench swing in their back yard and my cousin my sister and I would swing on it together for hours at a time and one time we were swinging real hard (REAL HARD) and the links?? or whatever that held it to the ceiling it was hanging from snapped and the three of us of us flew off of it and we all collectively blacked out??? it was so weird but I woke up to my cousin stuggling to get me off of her and then there lays my sister underneath the bench just blacked out chilling (she was fine) then my aunt came running out cause she had just heard the loudest crash ahsdfasdf not long after my uncle put stronger links on it and that bench is still there! From time to time when the three of us get together this story gets brought up its still the most hilarious thing ( ALSO CLOUD YOU ARE SO PURE I LOVE)

Admin Jess: Sofia, bb T^T I honestly can’t express how much your words mean to me. I love you so so much thank you for everything. I honestly won’t deny, it’s hard. I think it will always be difficult to a certain degree to run this blog. Not that I don’t love every second of it believe me, I just (LMAO LEAVE IT TO ME TO START TEARING UP IN THE MIDDLE OF TYPING THIS) I’ve never wanted to do something I wanted to just because I can.  I don’t run this blog expecting anything in return. I do it because I genuinely love, love the happiness it brings other people, because I love seventeen and I love doing it all. If I didn’t love it with all my heart I don’t think I would have held up this long. You’re right, it’s my last year of high school. My hardest year because I decided to take a multitude of difficult classes. I have cried tears over so many classes (I’m crying writing this response omfg PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER JESS), I have had plenty of mental breakdowns, a lot of crying whenever someone simply asks me if I’m ok or suggests I get more sleep. I have been an emotional wreck all year. It is my fault though, I did decide to take challenging courses this school year, but one can only run on four hours of sleep everyday for so long and not be emotional I guess. AND I WAS TERRIFIED. I was so scared that in the course of this year, through all the difficult hours of studying and finishing homework at 2/3am in the morning before having to wake up at 6am and walk to school by 7am, that I wouldn’t have the time or effort to do just the one thing I wanted to do the most in the world. I only had one real hobby I loved doing and it was running this blog (again hella emotional and dramatic sorry it’s like one am here when I’m writing this). So I forgo sleep to get everything done. It’s not healthy but in my mind, if I gave up on this blog for one day, that one day might turn into two days, which would turn into a month, and then I’d never be able to do anything ever again just because I kept pushing it off, treating it as if it didn’t mean the world to me when it so very dearly does. OK I’M RAMBLING ABOUT MYSELF NO ONE CARES JESS AHEM,,, My point is, I sacrificed sleep for school and this blog not because I was forced to, but because if I slept, this feeling of guilt when I woke up in the morning, a feeling of “ahh I could have done more, I could have been better” would permeate my mind for who knows how long. I didn’t want to disappoint anyone. I hate disappointing people. So to hear you say this blog and all the stuff we do on it makes you happy? It makes me think maybe I’m not such a big disappointment after all, and maybe if I keep working hard, I can continue making more people happier, and that’s all I really want. True, with college approaching, I can’t make any guarantees. I anticipate not being able to do anything at all, and that idea is scary too and makes me want to work even harder now while I still can. I will definitely try to get more rest though??? I mean no one likes a sleep-deprived me at 3am lmao, I may seem nice but at 3am I’m bawling my eyes out over homework and cursing at my posters and pictures of Seventeen and school and textbooks in like three different languages (it’s not pretty lol). • Who is your bias and why do you like them?  LEE JIHOOOOOOOOON OH MY GOD okay.

I love baby because as much as I love all thirteen of my dorks, I can’t imagine having anyone else as my bias. Yes, I had stanning issues and I admittedly still do, Choi Seungcheol is still my main bias wrecker after lol what 11 months? You can’t just forget your first bias. Anyway, because. Lee Jihoon makes my heart so soft, every time he’s adorable, he doesn’t even have to try. He makes me so happy and he’s just such a hard working person and what is there he cannot do? Like what 5 instruments? Studied classical music? Dances like an adorable little fluff bumblebee BUT IS ACTUALLY OKAY BUT HIS BODY MIGHT BE SMALL BUT HIS CHARISMA IS NO JOKE AND YOU ARE NOT LIVING IF YOU HAVEN’T HEARD HIM RAP. He’s just so talented, I mean like violin with EDM and Jeonghan’s voice, he’s just such a genius. I have never heard so much music that I love and admire and appreciate so much and it just feels like a blessing to love him. I mean like you mean I get to love him? For free? Like there’s no catch? I can’t really explain why, but I can tell you that as much as I do love all 13 of my sunshines, I can’t imagine not being Jihoon biased. • How did you “discover” kpop and how did you discover vixx? OK SO IT WAS A FATEFUL AUGUST 25TH 2016! A THURSDAY AFTERNOON AFTER SCHOOL! I hopped onto my computer after school. So like theres this Korean girl group at my school that walks around sometimes singing songs or just yelling at each other in Korean XD and at first I was like …kpop? DON’T KILL ME FOR THIS BUT LETS BE REAL EVERYONES FIRST THOUGHT ON KPOP IS GANGNAM STYLE. And so since I do like watching choreography very much, I searched on YouTube, hardest kpop dances. One of the videos there showed Mansae hide ver. Of the dance practice and I was like oh this looks nice and its catchy too *makes mental note to youtube that later* *youtubes it* it starts to play the MV and I was like is this song I was looking for? And then I got to the chorus and I’m just like ALSDHJLASDKJLSKAJKLJ and I BASICALLY CRASHED INTO THE FANDOM OVERNIGHT AND IT WAS SO FUN BECAUSE I GOT TO SLOWLY DROWN MYSELF IN EVERY MEMBER LOL and Vixx? Uhhh I just heard about them somewhere XD but Shangri-la sounds really nice, it sounds like Chinese music but it’s in Korean, I like it. • What does your phone case look like? Fun fact about me: I actually don’t have a phone case. My parents are the type to not spend money on “useless things” and a phone case is one of them (well for me anyway) and I have a vintage iPhone 4S, and all the cases that I do have are from my relatives or something and I don’t like the cases XD there’s this one black one that I would use except I can’t turn it off cause the off button part of the case is really hard. 1. What season did you start watching Supernatural? I started watching in 2014, after I came across a re-run of Changelings. Before that, I’d heard of the show, but didn’t think anything of it except that the leads are pretty hot^^. Changelings got me hooked so fast though, I thought, there’s a show in which every episode is like a little horror story niice:D. This episode is still one of my faves tbh, the monster-kids were so creepy. Yeah, then I heard sth of the angel that marches into the show in S4 and I just wanted to binge to his introduction tbh:P.

2. Who was the first character you fell in love with? Dean, I’d say. At first, he was this standard macho male lead but it shone through pretty fast that there was more to it than the stereotypical action hero, like all the times he tried so desperately to keep his little family together.. it just breaks your heart, oh Dean<3

3. Who was a character that you hated at first but grew to love? hmm.. Bela? I think I grew to love her in my first rewatch, because then I learned to appreciate characters who made life hard for the boys:P (I didn’t ‘hate’ her though, that’s a little too strong..) And Crowley is a little more difficult, since I liked him at first, then totally disliked him for all the shit he pulled in S8 with Kevin and Linda and Sarah and then I liked him again.. he’s a tough one to like^^  Maybe Amara? I just hate what they did with the ‘romantic’ non-consensual bond with Dean and think she has so much more potential than what they did with her, because her arc was pretty inconsistent tbh.. In retrospect.. I probably can’t love her because I kinda have a grudge at this whole thing but I appreciate the (largely unused) potential she brought on the table..

4. Which character would you most want to be in a long-term relationship with? uhmm.. I would say Cas but I want him to date Dean so:P Jimmy? Kevin? Benny? idk I don’t really think about this kinda thing... I love the characters but I don’t imagine dating them, you know?

5. If you could go on a date with just one character, which one would you choose? One date? Dean would probably be a total gentleman;)

6. What would you do on that date? Dinner and a movie?:P And I don’t do LARPing but I bet it would be fun with Dean. Or Charlie. Or both;)

7. Which character would you most want to be like? Charlie, because she embodies an optimistic view on life, bravery and sass, the holy trinity I strive for;) Plus, my favorite Charlie quote: “I realized the only way to get away with being me is to be as indispensable as possible” - words to live by^^

14. What season finale hit you the hardest? Season 6. It was heartbreaking but I liked the angst. If only they had done something about Cas sooner in S7..

15. What are your ten all-time favorite episodes? Changing Channels, The French Mistake, Free To Be Me And You, The End, LARP and the Real Girl, Lily Sunder Has Some Regrets, Stuck in the Middle (With You), and like every episode with Cas and Charlie:D

28. If you were going to guest star (or be a recurring guest star) on SPN, how would you want your character to be described? Some mix between Charlie, Alicia and Jody? Idk, a fun character that’s also damn tough and doesn’t take any shit from the boys. Also, she’d be the one saving the day pls:P (this would be AU!me though because I can’t act for the life of me and I bet I’d be generally pretty embarrassing if I’d see J2M in person:P)

29. What do you hope to see in the next season? A central arc for Cas that makes sense, makes for good character development and is fun to watch, lots of Destiel moments, maaaany recurring guest stars getting their time to shine, fan favorites resurrected and becoming recurring guest stars,... I won’t watch on anything less:P
