“For the original Jean Fouquet design see Sylvie Raulet, Art Deco Jewelry (English transl., London, 1985) p. 232. This bangle was pictured in Life Magazine, Jan 1938. The matching dress clips - see DEC638 - are stamped with US Pat No 1801128 (dated 1931 for the clip mechanisms), placing production in the 1930s and making European manufacture very unlikely.”
