To make the rest of this make sense I'm kind of merging the TT03 cartoon and the NTT comics, I've been on the Grant is Red X grind for years.

Also it's definitely enemies to lovers on the GrantRoy side, Roy holds some leftover annoyance from when they used to fight and Grant definitely blames Roy for breaking Jade's heart.

I think they have a lot in common as far as family relationships go, but while Roy has mostly mended his relationships Grant has mostly cut contact aside from Joey and the occasional phone call with Addie.

And of course there's the parallels between Grant taking the serum and Roy's addiction that can be made.

I think they're begrudgingly neutral for Jason's sake, but the thing that really brings them together is Lian. Grant won't ever admit it but he's a sucker for kids, and I HC he was roommates with Jade while she was pregnant so he def always wanted to hold her. Getting close to Lian also mended Grant's relationship to Rose considering Lian and Rose are canonically pretty close. I think Grant initially has some misplaced anger towards Rose because she was the product of infidelity, but he gets over it eventually.

Honestly it's when they start working together that Jason really starts to regret the whole thing. Having not one, but TWO extremely touch-y flirty menaces who are both devastatingly competent and simultaneously clowns is really doing him in. He can't wear sweatpants in his own home anymore. Every day they find new and improved ways to give him more white hairs. They're like two orange cats sharing one braincell.

Jason has never been more in love in his life.
