So. Blue Jay’s right? Everyone seems to know about em. But what if there are other type of jays (there are) and what if they also are called a by a color

so insert the green jay bird. also called chara verde in Spanish (according to the website because sadly we don’t have these birds here)

Chan Lake Territorial Park, NWT (No . 2)

The park is for day-use only, and has picnic tables, pit toilets and a kitchen shelter, designed to afford a sheltered place to light a small cooking fire. Pets are welcome on a leash. It is open during the summer from May 15 to September 15.

Mackenzie Bison Sanctuary is under twenty minutes from the park and bison can be encountered both on the highway and in the park itself. The lake is on the migration path of several birds: ducks, geese, loons, swans, and sandhill cranes may be seen.

Discussion on the Great Gatsby and I guess I overestimated the open-mindedness of my classmates bc like… the response when i said “so do y’all think Nick’s kinda got smth for Gatsby” was Interesting. They seemed shocked, as if Nick is Not a bisexual man. (This guy legit can’t choose anything, he’s non-confrontational, describes women and men kind of equally in both appearance and Vibes, and come ON that scene w/ the ellipsis (commonly used for fade-to-black sex scenes) and then HIM WAKING UP W/ MCKEE IN BED. HOMO 🫵🫵🫵.) Anyway. Nick/Gatsby/Daisy seemed to be the general ship consensus here

My last post cut off the head of the gorgeous Steller's Jay who is sitting in my back deck railing so I'm reposting the photo because the bird is stellar ( do you see what I did there? 😉🤣) and it deserves to be seen in its entirety. Steller's Jays are one of my favorite birds, and I get to watch them eat on my back deck almost every day. It's a great gift, and for that, I'm eternally grateful 🙏🏼🥲😁😍 I love living in Washington state ❤️

Chan Lake Territorial Park, NWT (No . 1)

Chan Lake Territorial Park is a small territorial park in the Northwest Territories of Canada, one of six such parks on the Yellowknife Highway (Hwy #3) and one of 34 parks maintained by the Northwest Territories government under the Territorial Parks Act of 1988.

The park is positioned between the road and the lake, 123 km north of the intersection between the Yellowknife Highway and the Waterfall Highway (Hwy #1), and is located at the north end of the Mackenzie Bison Sanctuary. It provides facilities for people travelling between Fort Providence and Yellowknife. The community nearest to the park is Behchoko (Rae-Edzo).
